LITTLE VALLEY—A Portville man charged with kidnapping, who was released from jail recently because his case was not prosecuted within the time limit, has been indicted on the charge by a Cattaraugus County grand jury.
William Phillips, 35, of Portville- Olean Road, was indicted on charges of second-degree kidnapping, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing. The crime occurred Sept. 15 in Portville, authorities said.
Also, Leslie Claypool, 53, of Arcade, was indicted on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to use a designated lane May 2 in the Town of Yorkshire.
Joshua Deppen, 23, of Little Valley, was indicted on charges of DWI, speeding and improper turn April 5 in the City of Salamanca.
Benjamin Kreutter, 48, of East Otto, was indicted on charges of DWI and failure to dim lights April 29 in the Town of Ashford.
All will be arraigned later this month.
