CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – A former nursing supervisor fired from successive jobs for alleged sexual harassment is on trial for the Valentine's Day rampage in upstate New York that left four people dead.

Jury selection began in Canandaigua (kan-an-DAY'-gwuh) in the trial of 35-year-old Frank Garcia. He is charged with the slayings of 38-year-old Kimberly Glatz and her 45-year-old husband, Christopher, at their home southeast of Rochester. Garcia will be tried in a separate trial for the fatal attack on a nurse outside a Brockport hospital and a motorist who came to her aid.

Prosecutors say Garcia was seeking vengeance against those who got him dismissed from a Rochester nursing home and the Brockport hospital. Garcia has denied the charges. His lawyer says there is insufficient evidence.

Killer gets life for Valentine's Day rampage in NY

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – A twice-fired nursing supervisor drew a life sentence for shooting a couple to death during a Valentine's Day rampage that left four people dead in upstate New York.

Investigators say Frank Garcia was enraged at two co-workers who accused him of sexual harassment and got him fired from successive jobs.

The 35-year-old was convicted of killing Kimberly and Christopher Glatz at their home in Canandaigua (kan-un-DAY'-gwuh) on Feb. 14. He showed no emotion Tuesday as he received the maximum sentence of life without the possibility of parole.

Garcia will be tried in November for a pre-dawn attack that day. Nurse Mary Silliman was slain along with a motorist who intervened when he saw her being roughed up outside a hospital in Brockport.
