November 13th 2007 Christine Marie Sheddy disappeared from a farm house in a small community on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Police have pursued this case as a "run away" mother who abandoned two of her three children. There are numerous statements that were originally given to police at the beginning of this case that have since been proven not true. The two people who were allegedly the last two people to ever see her alive have refused to submit to a polygraph and maintain Christine just left. Of course, they contend Christine just left without any of her personal property or a car, she just vanished. I have a difficult time believing this as do many others. My skepticism is based in large part to the criminal record of one of the people she was last in contact with. This person has several convictions ranging from petty theft to battery and several violent crimes.
I am sure most of you have never heard about this case due to the fact that it occurred in a town very few of you even know exist. Her family is desperate for closure and would greatly appreciate any additional media attention to this case and more importantly any suggestions as to how to help gain closure for her three young children.
You can read more about this case and the search to find Christine at:

If you have any information about Christine you can reach her family at findchristinesheddy@comcast.net
As I look further into the case of Missing Person Christine Sheddy, I was surprised to see the former lead investigator and current Mayor of the city where she was last seen was reported to call her a "sponge on society" while discussing the case with her mother. Was this the right avenue to pursue at early stages of an investigation of a missing woman with 3 children?
I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to read some more of the details about Christine Sheddy and the struggle her family has had to endure as they have attempted to have this case investigated to the fullest. IMO it is painfully obvious that there is a huge injustice occurring to this family and her three young children. I know her family is trying every way possible to gain closure for Christine despite an apparent feeling of apathy by certain members of the main stream media and some LEA.

The third child who was 6 at the time, was with Christine's Mother. The police have believed that she "ran away" because of information given to them by the family of her "boyfriend" and information that the two people she was staying with gave them. Why would they do that? Because they were the lead POI. I think that D.C. is safe, this crime (murder) occurred on the Eastern Shore of Maryland so it is probably 150 miles away by road. Besides I visited DC last week and they have their own problems. I do not know it the police in Maryland are all that backwards, I just believe that they were given erroneous information by people with private agendas which cost them valuble time at the begining of this investigation.

My sympathy and prayers go out to Christine’s family~!!! :rose:
I checked the National Center for Missing Adults and could not find her listed.
The family should contact the Center and get her listed. This is also the site that the Media goes to; to do reports on missing persons. Until Christine is listed there, the Media is going to be apathetic.

It is sad that people assume that the police do this for the missing, but they don’t. I do think that the police should inform the families of resources like this, but they don’t do that either.
If the family has contacted the National Center for Missing Adults... I would like to know what the problem was~?

Lets Be Concerned,
Thank so much for the advice and suggestions. I know Chrsitine's mother will do anything she can to bring get closure for her family and justice for her daughter. If anyone can think of any other contacts in media or law enforcement that you feel may be helpful, please post here or forward this infromation to them directly. Having occurred more than 18 months ago obviously this crime has the chance of falling completely off the radar. I am dedicated personally to do all that I can and know Christine's mother is as well, to prevent this story of ever going away. Her family and most importantly her three young childern deserve to know the truth and see justice served.

Your Welcome,
My heart goes out to the family, as 18 months is way to long. I know the agony we felt while Renee was missing for 7 weeks.
May I suggest a complete “do over” … and contact the different media sources again after Christine is listed with the Center of Missing Persons.
If you have contacted Texas Equusearch do it again as their website has changed.
http://texasequusearch.org/
You might also want to do some research and find some victims rights organizations in the area. I am on the other side of the country so I am not sure what would be local to Christine’s family.
They could also call the National Center for Victims of Crimes.
Their number is 1-800-FYI-CALL the phrase in their commercial is “so no one is alone”
This might be premature but you can check out this website too.
Parents of Murdered Children... they are there for anyone who has lost a loved one.... It is NOT a club that anyone ever wanted to belong to.... But I do think that it is comforting to know that people are organizing to be of help to others...
http://www.pomc.com/
You can also check out other missing persons websites and they often offer advice on their experiences.
Once Christine is listed with National Center it will be easier for others to get involved in things like passing out flyers.
If I can be of further help please let me know~!!!

I am not sure what to believe about this case except that I find it highly unlikely that she is still alive. What are your thoughts?

I do not believe she is alive at this point either. the party scene is possible.
I was also wondering about Levi

I believe that they have obtained enough information to make the party scene plausable. The main POI has relocated out of state and another left shortly after she disappeared. I have only met maybe three of the people involved several years ago so I can not say for sure anything about Levi. I just know that if Levi was concerned, he did not show up at the search in March to help find the mother of his children. But this would make sense if he claims Christine is still alive. But again she had no phone, computer or car and did not have a good sense of direction as evident that she could not give her friend directions on how to get to Pocomoke. I think that screams she never left the farm alive.

That sounds about right Native. I still wonder about Levi. How is her mother doing?

I think her mom is doing as well as can be expected. I have not spoken to her in a couple of weeks. I think she excited with having Blink involved. There is going to be an anouncement on Monday.
