I think the prosecuation deliberately threw the case to avoid rioting were he found guilty.

That's an interesting theory. I think they just go in way over their heads and weren't prepared for the lengths the defense would go to for an acquittal.

I think they were given orders from up high to throw the case -- state was afraid of riots were Simpson found guilty.

I'll be glad to expand on that but here in Israel, work week is Sunday-Thursday, so I gotta be leaving for work -- it's 07:12 am.

The prosecution had five times the resources as the defence.They prosecute cases every day. How is it that they would not be prepared for another murder case? The prosecution had one big problem which they only realized half way through the case. They had a weak case and was up against surerior lawyering by the defence.
Unlike most cases they were forced to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt and they failed.imo

I'm not sure about having five times the resources as the defense. They were prepared for the case but not the way the defense was willing to conduct Simpson's defense. The case was not weak. Can you tell me which part of it was weak?

The prosecution didn't have a weak case but they had a very strong one.

I agree 100%. I've never understood what some people thought was weak about their case but I'm hoping martin will tell us.

You may be correct but that does not negate the duty the prosecution undertook. What I am saying is that the theory is interesting and admits that there was reasonable doubt, for whatever reason, in the prosecution's case. If the theory is correct, the prosecution could have been brought up on charges, IMHO.
