Benjamin Douglas Caldwell
Benjamin Douglas Caldwell, 29, athletic director at Hayworth Christian School, in High Point, North Carolina has been arrested on allegations of the sexual abuse of a 14-year-old female.
Caldwell has reportedly been charged with six counts of statutory rape of a 14-year-old, three counts of statutory sex offense against a 14-year-old and eight counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor.
The alleged victim was reportedly not a student at the school.
Caldwell came to the attention of authorities when the alleged victim’s parent caught Caldwell inside the home around noon Thursday and detained him until police could arrive.
It is alleged that during an interview with police that Caldwell admitted to several crimes, including statutory rape, statutory sex offense and taking indecent liberties with a minor. MORE (http://www.teachercrimes.com/?p=1901)
