Motive. I don't see this as payback for a bad drug deal. Even if thousands of dollars were involved, what would be the payoff for grabbing Haleigh? If they expected to get paid by Ron, they would leave a note stating what they want in return for her. If they took her as a message that no one screws with them, who gets the message? They couldn't pass the word around to take credit for taking a little girl. Both LE and other drug dealers would be looking for them. There were other ways to let Ron know how serious the problem was. Threaten him or his family. Shoot a hole through his windshield on his way home. That has occurred to me. Mrs. Griffis' record is for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver back in 1997, but surely she wasn't selling to Cummings when he was thirteen.

I look at the grapevine as a weakness. There are all types of people in it. Guys and girls that have a grudge against the hierarchy, some also have a softspot for 5 yo girls, some are informants. Someone would have passed the word to LE by now. imo

Concerning Misty, she may have left the kids alone that night but if so, i'm amazed that LE couldn't get her to admit it. I would guess that LE has fed her a line such as: We can find Haleigh if you tell us who you met with that night. These people you met are the only ones who would know that Haleigh and Junior were alone in the trailer. Tell us who you met before its too late. If one of them took her and you protect them, you will go to prison with them. Speak up and save Haleigh and yourself.

There would be records but they would not be publicly released under his name by LE because they wouldn't want anyone knowing who did the talking. The people that he testified against, and he would have to testify even if he did it by giving a sworn statement as a John Doe, would know who told LE about them just by the testimony.

My feelings are that since I don't know if Ronnie has informed on anyone, I find it hard to seriously entertain the thought that this is who took Haleigh. If Ronnie has informed on anyone, I would think LE would be bringing them in as POIs.

Yes, the "father" will be prosecuted. But here in MA often times the perps are back out way sooner than they should be. This case was so upsetting, I think because of the age of the baby, that the public might be able to put pressure on to keep him incarcerated longer than he might have been. Perhaps "they" HAD threatened Ron or his family. And perhaps Ron either didn't take it seriously or wasn't able to/wouldn't fork up, the money or drugs and the outcome of the threat was that they took Haleigh. RON would get the message, and I'm betting in the drug world, people knew he was in trouble, and those people would get the message. Pay up, or you saw what happened to Ron--he's minus a sweet little daughter!!!!

IMO, it wouldn't have necessarily been done for ransom--evidently (if this is what happened) they probably figure Ron isn't going to be able to come up with what he owes, else he probably would have paid up. The outcome is, if you don't pay up, someone in your family is not going to be here tomorrow. That would scare the waddding out of a lot of people.

I keep thinking, glad I never had tomake a HV there!!! I would probably be dead by now! I am a real pain in the neck. Once I called police at 9:00 at night to check on a 2 children when I saw all the adults outside doing drugs. When the police got there they arrested the drug group, and the drug group fought them bec. they were being arrested and the policia went to the apt and took the two kids who were alone out of there.the two children went to a foster home and I was done with that low life family. the police told me that was one of the most dangerous drug dealers/groups they had ever seen. The kids are doing really good in their new family and the drug group are doing time.

Hi Errin-I'll admit i got way to upset last night over Junior being shown the way he was. That's why I left.He's never been shown 'that' way before, and I do believe some nutjob might think he needs to go too(if not the same kidnapper)...Like I said, I've got a little boy the same age, I've always wondered and worried about Jr during this whole mess, and thought..."Well, at least the Cummings don't have Jr on TV".....sorry, but to me that's the lowest yet that I've SEEN on TV. I have learned alot from this site.

I don't think LE anticipated Jr/mom telling the world. I wish we could know what he HAS said to authorities.

No it is just a guess. I hope they get to the bottom of this soon. it is wrenching. I have a hard time believing Misty's story; and LE has called her back a couple of more times. My theory is she left and left the door open bec. she could not get back in. If the kids were asleep and she was confident they wouldn't get up she could have done that. But who knows. For sure, the players here all have histories of one sort or another.

I too wish this would end. Even though I've tried my best to give Misty the benefit of the doubt, because of her age and being left with someone else's kids, I am beginning to think she left the house. It makes more sense then the other scenerios. She left the door open like that to get back in, it makes no sense a kidnapper would do that.
IMO, I think she's more scared of Ron then she is of LE. If Ron finds out she left, and with her family living across the street, she really can't get away from him. We ALL heard how he talked to her in the 911 call, so he blamed her immediately.
If she's lying, she's doing a very good job of standing up to LE, but maybe her fear of Ron overrides her fear of prosecution.
The truth will come out, because if she left, she was having a good time with someone, hopefully that someone will tell the truth and just get this issue behind us/them. The most important thing is that Haleigh is gone.

Everytime I hear about a case like this one, I admit I immediately want to know WHY that child is not with their mom. Back when Jessica Lunsford went missing, I did the same thing.
"Some" posters absolutely hated Mark Lunsford and got pretty upset with me because I did badmouth the mom.
I've seen so many mothers here choose drugs or boyfriends or what have you OVER their children it makes me sick. Then, of course, it's always the fathers fault that they don't have their kids.

I'm curious to see if LE has interviewed Ron's co-workers. If it's true about him and Misti fighting he could have mentioned something to the guys at work about it. Maybe told the guys that he was worried that she wasn't watching the kids at night and sneaking out. One of the guys from work could have went out there knowing that the little girl wasn't being watched. I know lots of convicted felons and RSO have hard time finding jobs and lots end up with construction jobs(and before anyone jumps on me-yes, there are great guys who work construction too). That's true, you don't expect people to peddle drugs to kids, but it does happen. Wonder where Cummings would have gotten money at that age to buy drugs? It does look like Mrs. Griffis went through a drug program, which is more than we can say for certain about Ron.

As tight-lipped as LE is, we have no idea who they have or haven't brought in as POIs. Plenty of the talking heads, including Jeanine Pirro think it's a possibility that considering how many serious charges Cummings has had, and how often he was given second chances, and how often the charges were dropped, and how seldom he actually made any kind of restitution, that he may well be an informant. Her expert opinion is good enough for me.

He was questioned in the first few days by child protection workers according to the news. They are certainly more capable than Crystal and Brother Craig. I take very little from the Fox segment last night except complete and total disdain for Crystal and Brother Craig for putting Junior on camera.

But people put there kids on stage and on camera all the time; maybe Crystal is a fan of reality TV and thinks it's A-OK.

I wonder if Cummings worked with any RSOs. Yep. Considering the way that Cummings talked about Misty to LE, I can only imagine what he's like behind closed doors.

I can somehow see him playing both sides, informant for LE to keep from serving time, and deciding he can boost his income and get some goodies by dealing small quantities of drugs. Someone could have fronted him drugs to sell and he may have spent the money before the deadline came up.

I've seen a lot of people praising him for keeping focused on Haleigh; I see a guy who rarely speaks Haleigh's name, and have never heard him call her Doodlebug; he doesn't seem to be able to humanize her. He lies about his record instead of ignoring the questions. He reiterates far too often that he was at work earning an honest living. I found his wailing and keening and prostrating himself to come off as false.

I don't think now is the time for Crystal to be on camera airing the relationship laundry in public. Yes, she should give this information to LE, but it just gives Ron's detractors more fuel. hmmm Maybe that's the plan. To garner more support by default.

Yep. Considering the way that Cummings talked about Misty to LE, I can only imagine what he's like behind closed doors.

I can somehow see him playing both sides, informant for LE to keep from serving time, and deciding he can boost his income and get some goodies by dealing small quantities of drugs. Someone could have fronted him drugs to sell and he may have spent the money before the deadline came up.

I've seen a lot of people praising him for keeping focused on Haleigh; I see a guy who rarely speaks Haleigh's name, and have never heard him call her Doodlebug; he doesn't seem to be able to humanize her. He lies about his record instead of ignoring the questions. He reiterates far too often that he was at work earning an honest living. I found his wailing and keening and prostrating himself to come off as false.

I don't think now is the time for Crystal to be on camera airing the relationship laundry in public. Yes, she should give this information to LE, but it just gives Ron's detractors more fuel. hmmm Maybe that's the plan. To garner more support by default.

That's true, you don't expect people to peddle drugs to kids, but it does happen. Wonder where Cummings would have gotten money at that age to buy drugs? It does look like Mrs. Griffis went through a drug program, which is more than we can say for certain about Ron.

She does come off as spiritual nowadays; a far cry from running a drug house and allowing her fourteen year old daughter to be with an older guy. What ever "be with" means.

Motive. I don't see this as payback for a bad drug deal. Even if thousands of dollars were involved, what would be the payoff for grabbing Haleigh? If they expected to get paid by Ron, they would leave a note stating what they want in return for her. If they took her as a message that no one screws with them, who gets the message? They couldn't pass the word around to take credit for taking a little girl. Both LE and other drug dealers would be looking for them. There were other ways to let Ron know how serious the problem was. Threaten him or his family. Shoot a hole through his windshield on his way home. Leave a horse's head on the living room couch at 2 am.

I'm with you on this one Lodi. Haleigh was abducted by a SO pedophile and for one purpose only. A bad drug deal and/or retaliation doesn't make sense. Search continues near Haleigh Cummings' home
Detectives find nothing after searching through dumpster yesterday.

Deputies searching for Haleigh Cummings said nothing surfaced from Thursday's dumpster search in Putnam County.

Three cadaver dogs alerted at the dumpster located near the home of the missing 5-year-old girl. Detectives sorted through tons of trash, but nothing of interest to the case was discovered inside the receptacle.

Seven teams of cadaver dogs spent the day searching the area around the Cummings home.

The canine teams will continue checking the area today.

Captain Dick Schauland of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said the search was not the result of any new information received, but a return to areas previously searched to ensure nothing had been overlooked.

Schauland said the cadaver dogs will alert to the scent of humans, as well as "any human matter such as a bandage with blood on it, or personal hygiene items."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477).

The accused man had a physical deformity and this apparently scared the kids, and a rumor sprouted up and grew arms and legs, bringing the parents to LE.

He was tried and the boy who started the rumor (lie) was asked among other things, if the janitor killed anyone. The boy said, "Yes he killed about six people." :rolleyes: The poor janitor was acquitted. So IMO kids should not be used in cases of any great caliber. The more you stir them, the more they say what they think you want to hear. They are not developed enough to be clear on things.. not to say they lie, they just don't know what they witnessed.

And yet, I'd trust a five year old to tell it more accurately than some adults we've listened to in this case and in the CA case. .. Jayze!!!

I'm not giving Junior's interview on Geraldo much credence, but it's possible that he heard the man in black coming down the hallway or in the kitchen or on some other carpeted floor. And it's possible that what he heard squeaking was the floor itself, not shoes.

The same thing has been said about the 17 yo. You can ask a teenager about a party 3 times and you'll get 3 different answers.

According to links posted earlier, Junior gave his statement/was questioned by child protective workers in the early days of the investigation. Crystal has told that Junior told her about the man in black, but she didn't question him at the time.

I am going to try and answer this about the dogs. During the S Peterson trial I wrote a cadaver dog expert online and ask tons of questions and he said cadaver dogs hit on a very specific scent, dead bodies, period, not blood, not urine, not skin cells on live humans, they don't even hit on animal decomp. Having said they are not foolproof but to have 3 dogs hit on it kind of shocked me. One dog could make a mistake , three is kind of far fetched. However, Loretta's point is well taken. I am sure those dumpsters are not sanitized or washed from time to time at all, they just stay dirty. So it would not be unusual for a dog to hit on a dead decomp smell from a few months ago or even a year or so. Traces of that smell stay really until you clean them. It is good to know they are monitoring the landfill though. I just did not want them to outright dismiss the idea she could have been in there earlier.

If what you are saying is true, that dogs only hit on HUMAN decomposition, then that would mean there had to be a different dead body if it were a few months or a year ago. LE really needed to check this out more thoroughly.

Loretta, a tracking dog will pick up the scent of an alive person with an article of clothing or say a towel. A cadaver dog is trained to only hit on human decomposing flesh. Also to dogs like I posted, when you are dead, you smell the same to them, whereas a person that is alive like an escaped prisoner they will track and can for miles, the scent of that prisoner and either he finds them or they lose the scent like at a river. That is the difference between the dogs, all in what they are trained to do. Dogs are now being trained to sniff bombs and other terror related items like chemicals, like anthrax, dirty bombs and the like. Other dogs are trained to sniff out drugs and then you have some that pest control companies use, to sniff out bedbugs and roaches. All of these dogs will only sniff out what they are trained to do. I could have put a 2 lb hamburger in a closet and Beau would not even try to go near it. But if he was turned loose at a possible crime scene, he would hunt until he found the corpse.

Now I am only a lay person now, but if I had 3 dogs strike on one dumpster I would be at the landfill, at one time according to the dogs, there was a dead body in there and Putnam Co might very well be checking out the landfill, I hope they do even if it just rules that out. I understand the different tasks for scenthounds and cadaver dogs. For LE to say that three different cadaver dogs hit on a bloody bandage or rotting meat (for instance) in the dumpster is most likely BS in my opinion. My question about the hounds, was were they taken back to the dumpster to search for Haleigh's scent in particular, and NA said that too much time and exposure to the elements had passed/occurred. So my second question was how long can a hound detect specific live human odor?

It's not hard for us to figure out. We know Crystal had him for visitation last weekend which was 2/20 to 2/22. That was when Junior supposedly told her about the man in black taking his sissy. Two weeks before that would be 2/6 thru2/8. Haleigh disappeared the night of 2/9 to 2/10. The weekend before that would be 1/24. So apparently she did miss the last visitation before Haleigh disappeared.

it's hard for me, to figure out justice..i have seen so many different dates, but i had thought crystal had visitation saturday, 2 days ago, when she was on GR with jr.

According to links posted earlier, Junior gave his statement/was questioned by child protective workers in the early days of the investigation. Crystal has told that Junior told her about the man in black, but she didn't question him at the time.

Not that it probably means anything, but I am curious about the missed visitation. She seems delicate healthwise, I suppose she may have been ill, or the baby ill or something.I could be wrong but I think I heard early on from Crystal interview that she missed visitation because Ronald said that the child was ill and could not miss any more school or he would be arrested because she had missed so much school , indicating he wanted the little girl to stay home and rest due to her health.I may be wrong but if it turns out that this little girl was taken due to some kind of retribution for a drug rip off I won't be shocked. Thanks MU, I did hear Misty remark early on about the issue with Haleigh's absences, but had never put that information together with the missed visitation.

I don't have a problem so much with Cummings saying that he doesn't do drugs presently, as I do with him denying drug use in the past. Helllloooo we can all read the Putnam and Sarasota County court records. Heck, if he's not going to be convicted on serious drug charges, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that he's going to skate on the statutory rape either. That was my point. There had to be a particular item with decomposition odor on it in that dumpster in order for three different dogs to alert on it. Why didn't LE find out what it was? Also, they should have used the hounds to see if Haleigh's odor was detectable.

I have thousands of hours of volunteer service that ranges from dishing up TGiving dinner to begging for donations to picking up storm debris. I do my dead level best to help others, all of which hopefully raises awareness, because believe me, there were times when I did this work that I didn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of.

Re the comments that hounds should have been brought back to the dumpster to see if there was an odor of Haleigh, and that her body could have been in a previous emptying of the dumpster, is somebody sending in these tips to where they could help find Haleigh instead of just discussing among ourselves?

Those two ideas which are such good ones imo really may not have been thought of at the scene, where they've got so much other to think about.

Justice, I know where you are coming from about southern women, here in MI you also have women that have never worked a day in their life, started having kids very early, most of the time, they do not even finish the 9th grade and they are knocked up. My 25 year old god-daughter Sara, was pregnant with her first at age 16. I am wondering if she is planning on leaving him when she graduates, all her friends live in really nice homes, they drive nice cars and here she is, a crappy trailer, driving a 10 year old car.

In the trailer park I lived in, I was one of the very few women that did work, in fact on my street, myself and one other woman who worked security at a local casino were the only ones working, either they were on welfare or hubby worked. I just think in today's world where the doors are wide open for women that they would want to get an education, I know I sure did, I still want to, they would want to enjoy their teen and young woman years, but nope. They hook up with some loser and start calving them out and before they are 30, they have at least 5 kids. And they have had no life beyond the trailer.

I have a friend who when I met her had never left the state of MI! Never had gone to concert, or worked! All she did was to have four kids, and now she has her grand kids, I took her to her first concert last year, Gretchen Wilson, and she was like a little kid to be standing right next to the stage, her hero!! I took her and the grandkids to a theme park in OH! So I know what you mean about the barefoot and pregnant deal. Strangely enough, almost all the women of VT work and always have, I started working when I was nine, I worked on a farm and Mrs Bigelow worked just as hard as her hubby, we would be out haying, or feeding a 500 herd, planting the garden, to harvesting corn and other veggies. I got paid the princely sum of $6 a week and I could not get my god-son off the couch for twice that!! I just can't imagine being young and beautiful why you would ever want to not pursue a career, most of these women do not even have a GED, and if they are forced off the welfare rolls, they are going to be flipping burgers, not that there is anything wrong with that, I have done it, it is that without an education will not be offered many jobs, menial labor at best.

My friend never finished school and I talked her into going back to get her GED and I helped her with it as much as I could and she was so proud of herself for passing, we threw a party!! Her 17 year old daughter who also got pregnant at 15, decided to also go for a GED and she went on to go to college and now has a degree in cosmetology, one step over a hairdresser, she does spa treatments, all the fancy stuff and makes very good money. It is also interesting to know that "Nicole" has never collected one dime of welfare. When she got pregnant with her son she vowed that she would work and she did till she was a day away from giving birth and went back to work two weeks after having him!! This is a nice girl here, I adore her and am so proud of her. She is a great mother and the dad is now in the picture.

One of the funniest things from the movie Airplane LOL. I think police had a duty to interview the child but I think it was not good to put the child on tv like Geraldo did because kids fantasize and make up and try to be helpful and overhear things they make into stories. Thanks Drew, my point was that when you make assumptions, you're likely to be wrong. Oh, and my other point was that even if you think you have nothing to give, you do. You've got time, and you can help others see their own worth by showing them that you can give of yourself.

I'll assume that JD meant that we should all strive to educate others and show them that no matter their circumstances, they can make a difference; that she didn't really intend to single me or other Southern women out and make it our personal responsibility to drag those less fortunate out of ignorance and pathetic states of subservience. Eagle, I posted the two clips to the two segments of the Fox Fiasco in the news update section of the forum. Junior was interviewed early on by child protection professionals who are trained in proper technique, and we'll hope that as his memories evolve, they will speak to him again.

Ronald Cummings Gets Tattoo of Haleigh


PINELLAS COUNTY, FL -- The father of a missing girl now has an image of her face tattooed to his leg.

Ronald Cummings traveled from his home in Putnam County to a tattoo parlor in Pinellas County to get a tattoo of both his children.

"Daddy's little girl, always," said Cummings.

Haleigh's father said someone else covered the $400 bill for the tattoos but he wouldn't say who.

"All I want to do is plead for the life of my daughter."

The five-year-old girl has been missing since she went to bed on the night of February 9.

There is someone posting on another site that is claiming to be a relative, that says the week before Haleigh went missing that Ron had robbed a drug dealer (or drug dealers), for money and dope. They threatened retaliation and this person is saying that people know who he robbed but won't tell LE.

I remember the great grandmother saying that the kids were sitting with plates on their laps eating when she was there. To me that puts supper somewhere between the 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. If that is the case then it was early evening when great grandmother was there and it is unlikely that the neighbor saw the children after supper.

I remember the great grandmother saying that the kids were sitting with plates on their laps eating when she was there. To me that puts supper somewhere between the 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. If that is the case then it was early evening when great grandmother was there and it is unlikely that the neighbor saw the children after supper.

If I remember correctly, and I could very well be wrong on this, all that was said by Sykes herself is that she went over there to leave some clothing and the kids were eating. It struck me as odd at the time that they would be holding their plates on their lap, especially Jr.

I would think, especially again given Jr's age, that the smart thing to do would be to let them play for a while, then give them their supper. Once they have eaten, then give them a bath and get them ready for bed.

I'm here to tell you, that I can think of at least five very privileged young people in my state, Rhode Island (which is between Boston and NY) who ended up on crack, had babies out of wedlock, some had several with different different fathers, lived in crack houses and made those folks in this case look like Harvard graduates. Those young women were not poor or uneducated, but they were YOUNG.

It's a mixed bag when it comes to irresponsible parents now days. It really doesn't matter where they live.

Baby boomers are still trying to live down their "anti establishment" drum roll. It was destructive. There is no such thing as free love. Love is not negotiable. There is either equity put into family life, or not.

Please understand I am referring to the generational type of thing which seems to be more prevalent in areas like Appalachia and the South, IMO. Woo, Dan and me are from NE and we are very out spoken and we say our piece and we ain't afraid to do so and having lived down south in FL when I went to college, whole different ball game, women are different than northern women. As I said women from NE have always worked, together with hubby on the farms, factories, mills, it is a way of life in NE. Here, if they do go to work because a lot of them have been too busy raising ten kids, it is menial jobs, like hotel maids, taking care of the elderly or infirm or mentally handi-capped folks, or babysit, or clean houses. When I first moved here and lived in that park, I was aghast as to how many women did not work, unheard of to me not working? I asked a few of them if they had ever worked and the answer was always no and I asked would they consider going to college and get an education and here again, NO, they could not fathom sitting in a classroom all day, but could live in a crappy trailer with screaming kids, that is as good as it gets to them.

I worked at a Damon's till my back could no longer handle trays and the Sheriff's dept was not hiring, so I retired. But I liked working there, the money was great and I love waiting on people, I had a cult following of regulars. I worked with a lot of college students, and the ratio of men to women was off the charts. More men than women getting an education. Some of the girls graduated and stayed on at Damon's and I am like what? You got a degree in something and you want to haul trays of ribs??? A lot of them were hoping to meet the man of their dreams and start calving them out!! One girl I spent two weeks training only to have her hook up with the bartender and she was pregnant within three months!! Now there were some smart girls, about four of them I knew would go places and they did. I see them from time to time in town, one girl is now a doctor and Mandy my fav, is a pharmacist where I get my meds, she has no intention of even having kids, she had to help raise her 9 siblings and just wants what she has now, a nice house and car and a dog. She dates, but is not into a relationship at this point, but as you can see, she is a rare breed.

When I went to college, we wanted an education not a hubby! I did not marry my 1st, till I was 21 after college! Then after divorcing him, I went back to school in CT and got an associate's in crisis intervention. I was 28 and you know, if giving the opportunity, I would go back, my health issues need to be addressed first, but I have been mulling the idea of going to law school and perhaps become a paralegal and help women and children like some of you do and have done.

After 9/11, some of my guys who went down to Ground Zero to assist NYPD and FDNY, and they came back with tats honoring fallen brothers and sisters, a flag, the NYPD insignia and "We Will Never Forget" This idiot gets one to do what? I can surely spend $400, I can go out and buy socks and food, and drinks for the many searchers that have helped to look for the daughter he does not even call by name!!! When I was at GZ, people would show up with stuff at the Red Cross tents and other volunteer organizations, so I went out and bought some tube socks, bandana's, handi-wipes, bagels and cream cheese and a case of soda to the Red Cross for the firemen and the recovery workers, my way of showing my solidarity and support to the men that were my cousin's family for 20 plus years, and the kind people that showed up to look for remains.

My cousin brought dog food and biscuits for the search dogs and several gallons of water and soda too. And this asswipe gets a tattoo!! I am wondering something here kids. Now we don't believe Misti for a New York minute, my friend today, is wondering if Misti killed her??? I am to the point where until they find HC, I am still thinking it all comes back to Ron and Misti or even more I feel it is still a RSO. Crystal is a loser in her own right for not having custody of them, you can calve out another one and not fight for the two you already had??? Sheeit, she will probably have more, surprised Misti ain't got one in the oven!!! These type can breed like cockroaches!! If I had children, I would have had one!! I did want a daughter, but it was not meant to be, and I am content with my god-kids, especially my IAN!! I would take him in a heartbeat!! I am hoping upon hope just for the sake of ruling it out, that Putnam has decided to search the landfill, come on, three dogs hit??? I talked to my bud this a.m. and he would have gone directly to that landfill the night the dogs hit. He would get a search warrant, and get everyone searching with the dogs there. If they have an approximate day that the dumpster was emptied and the waste brought there, they would probably get a heads up from the landfill workers where that particular load might have been placed and take it from there. Nasty ass job, but what if HC was in there???

LE is not always pretty, I remember a bad fire where 5 people perished, including a child. That was a rough call, it could have been prevented too, had the landlord hooked up the woodstove up to code, he never put flashing around the stove hole, the tenants stoked up the fire, this was a trailer too, and the wall got hot and set the insulation on fire and it spread like crazy, thing was fully involved in 2 minutes, they never stood a chance. The fire marshal and my LT and another deputy entered what was left and they saw the little girl, cooked right to her mattress and they lost it and God, I lost it too. The first fireman on the scene told me all I needed to know, "fully involved, no souls left" SO I think Putnam CO should look to the landfill!! I did not want to appear like a know it all, I just shared my point of view and I was glad that they read it. I think right now, they are just trying to weed through what they have, what might be credible, and what isn't. I fear though, that there will be no sightings of this child in Beer Fart OK or anywhere else, I fear that she is dead. I knew the minute that VSP advised that Brooke Bennett's uncle was a RSO, I knew he had raped and murdered her and that was the case, I knew that CA murdered her daughter right from word go.

For half a serving I use 1/2 C water and 1/4 C regular oats. Microwave one minute and let it settle for a few seconds, then microwave one more minute. Add a pinch of kosher salt and a smidge of Brummel and Brown. Dig in!

I like Fiber One cereal, but it takes forever to chew!

To set your hair on fire: Put a cigarette in your mouth. Just as you flick your lighter to ignite that delicious tubular mixture of mentholated tobacco and God knows what else, lean over to pick up your glass of wine. VOILA Hair on fire! Pat it out like nothing happened and be glad that you didn't use hairspray.

Repeat as often as necessary depending on your learning curve.

New Details Emerge In Haleigh Cummings Disappearance

SATSUMA, Fla. -- In the days leading up to Haleigh Cummings disappearance, family and friends tell us there was no indication anything was different in the small community of Satsuma. The family of the girl who put Haleigh Cummings to sleep and was the last person to see her is speaking out about who they believe may have something to do with Haleigh’s disappearance.

“If my family there’s watching it I don’t care…I think that he needs to be brought here and questioned and interrogated by cops he don’t know,” said Lisa Croslin.

Croslin is talking about her nephew. The 19-year-old was in town a few weeks before Haleigh’s disappearance. She says before Haleigh was taken, her nephew got in a fight with Haleigh’s father, Ronald.

“What happened is he had stolen Ronald’s gun…and one morning on the porch he said Ronald would get what’s coming to him…then it was dropped, and he left," said Lisa Croslin.

Croslin says her nephew left the day Haleigh was abducted. She also tells us a light blue van her nephew might have drove was confiscated and analyzed by police. Croslin’s husband Hank says a mysterious gash appeared on the side of the van the night Haleigh disappeared.

The Croslins say they’re positive their daughter had nothing to do with Haleigh’s disappearance. They also say they’re putting their faith in the police to investigate everyone including their own family.

Thank You! I didn't know that about the Atkins bars. I did the Atkins diet. It worked great, but I got tired of living without my pasta, bread and potatoes. It did beat the low fat no fat diets alright! I do love my meats, fish, salads and cheeses so it was very good, even at restaurants. The problem was when the waiter came with the bread basket and poppa would say, no, no bread. And I would say, well one piece isn't going to hurt, so leave it and again, poppa would say, no, don't put it on the table and I would say, LEAVE IT!!!! I WANNA LOOK AT IT! ;)

Atkins made me lose too much weight actually, so I rationalized and thought, hmmm, I can eat pasta, I can eat bread and I can eat potatoes. So I did. And I gained it all back. Anyway I'm going to be a big fat nawny. More to love. :)

Dan S. ex wife has told the family (I have talked to her extensively) horror stories about his propensity for little girls and what he has done in the past. She alleges that he has paid off drug debts in exchange for children he uses/sells and has connections to the sex trade industry in the Philippines. She could be lying or crazy, but that's what she says. I felt it was worth looking into. Police told me they don't know anything for sure but that he is not cleared as a suspect.

Detectives have told me that they believe Misty and Ronnie are not telling the truth or at least not the whole truth. As far as polygraphs, people can "pass" them if ) they believe their own lie or 2) they are habitual liars. Nobody has been cleared.

And last but least, I believe an arrest will be made soon.

IMO Anna admits in her first two sentences that she doesn't know what happened to Haleigh and is as confused as everyone else.

Currently she leans toward the story about drug dealers who were robbed by Ronnie in front of local witnesses but she is also keeping an eye on Dan S. who is accused by his ex wife of trading children to pay off drug debts

Can't be a relative from either side, this woman writes too well! I am not saying it's possible and if she is to be believed, pretty compelling stuff and once again it comes back to Ron or Misti. The gun story he denies, well yeah, he is not able to tell LE about that, that could be his third felony conviction. As for the drugs, that could very well be absolutely the truth seeing as he has a rap sheet full of drug possession charges and maybe he did burn somebody high up in the food chain of dealers, but maybe not. I remember a 17 year old boy being murdered for a quarter ounce of cannabis and an 1989 Buick Skylark and two lower level dealers took him on the advisement of the ring leader. The two low-lifes got life without parole and Mr. Big got 25 years for conspiracy. But he was not even the big fish and LE never did nail down who he was in this case. Now if Ron did burn somebody and they murdered HC, then he should be charged as well, he brought this down on his daughter because he is a low-life scum who clearly does not deserve to have children.

The reason that I don't put much stock into the interview with Junior on GAL, is that the questions that Crystal asked suggested the answers. As someone who has interviewed countless children, I can assure you that is not the proper method.

The picture I have in my mind about proper questioning of little kids by trainded authorities (as opposed to mom and/or dad) is that they have the kids draw pictures, kind of role play, and get info from them that way, instead of direct questions. And when they get to questions, they are kind of interspersed in "casual" conversations, but still, as you say, not questions that would "suggest" the answer to the child.

I hope we're not getting to where 60 is old, I'm coming up on that number @ a pretty fast pace!!!! My grandmothers were both 86 when they died--10 years apart!! Daddy's brothers and sisters all made it to the 90 mark, he's just a couple of years from that now.

I think, when my Mom became a GGrandma, she was probably 65 ish. Especially if all involved started their families early (like late teens) Haleigh's ggrandma could be just in her 60's, or even younger. People who have lived a "hard life" seem to look older than their years.

There wouldn't have to be a driver if the perp just carried her into the woods, seems to be a rather wooded area, or to the river, or even to another trailer in the park. She isn't very big, just a hand over her mouth, or possibly even just picking her up and walking out. If the "routine" was that the kids went to sleep in the master bedroom w/Misti, and then be carried to their own room when Ron got home, she might have just tho't she was being carried by daddy to her own room. I must say, tho, it would be easier for Misti to sleep in THEIR room til Ron got home, then HER to go to the other room, rather than moving the kids. But, I haven't heard whether or not ALL usually slept in the same room all night or not. Or, even if that night's sleeping arrangements were the norm or not. Heck, they might not have even gotten TO a routine yet, having just moved in there 3 weeks prior.

I would think that, if any info from JR would be used in a trial, it would be from the interview with the LE person trained in child interviews. I can't see where he would actually be called to give testimony in a trial, especially one even a year down the road. OTOH, it seems his "story" isn't the only one that has changed several times. IRRC, Misit's version has changed 3 times, @ least, plus the others don't always come up with the same info, either. But, I truely believe his "story(s)" aren't really his @ this point--but just taking on what he has heard the grownups say to each other, or what he comes up with when the grown ups use suggestive questions on him.

Glad that you mentioned the sleeping arrangements. I've done a lot of homestudies, and am very curious as to what the dealio is at the Cummings house. The master bedroom isn't all that large according to the previous tenant, yet there were two beds in there which might indicate that it was habit for someone else to sleep with the parents. Is there not a bed in each of the children's rooms? If one of the children's rooms doesn't have a bed, why not move the one bed out of the master into it? What necessitated this sleeping arrangement on such a regular basis that an extra bed is required? Both these children are old enough to have a room to his/herself, and old enough to sleep through the night without having to be exposed to Cummings' and Misty's intimate relationship.

I learned as a young mother, about play therapy when my son was six years old and had a fascination with fire. He stole matches. I was terrified, so I took him to a kiddie shrink. She explained to me the method she would use to get information from him. There was no direct questioning.

I realize we all come from different backgrounds, or maybe it's different generations, but, really, I don't think a tatoo of my daughter who has just gone missing is what I would be spending time and $$ on. Even if someone else paid for it, that $400 could have been put to use in the search of his daughter. I could see, oh, months down the road, where a tatoo might be something I would think of, but in the midst of the search?

I guess a tatoo parlor some miles down the road would be a quiet place, away from reporters and other prying eyes where one (that is into tatoos) might go to just step away from the situation, even for just a few hours.

New Details Emerge In Haleigh Cummings Disappearance

SATSUMA, Fla. -- In the days leading up to Haleigh Cummings disappearance, family and friends tell us there was no indication anything was different in the small community of Satsuma. The family of the girl who put Haleigh Cummings to sleep and was the last person to see her is speaking out about who they believe may have something to do with Haleigh’s disappearance.

“If my family there’s watching it I don’t care…I think that he needs to be brought here and questioned and interrogated by cops he don’t know,” said Lisa Croslin.

Croslin is talking about her nephew. The 19-year-old was in town a few weeks before Haleigh’s disappearance. She says before Haleigh was taken, her nephew got in a fight with Haleigh’s father, Ronald.

“What happened is he had stolen Ronald’s gun…and one morning on the porch he said Ronald would get what’s coming to him…then it was dropped, and he left," said Lisa Croslin.

Croslin says her nephew left the day Haleigh was abducted. She also tells us a light blue van her nephew might have drove was confiscated and analyzed by police. Croslin’s husband Hank says a mysterious gash appeared on the side of the van the night Haleigh disappeared.

The Croslins say they’re positive their daughter had nothing to do with Haleigh’s disappearance. They also say they’re putting their faith in the police to investigate everyone including their own family.

I didn't notice her name on the tatoo. (Course, it was hard to see.) Maybe, if her name was on there, he could look @ his leg right before interviews so as to know what her name is. Not sure, Errin. Pretty sure the captain (whose name I can't remember) said that the neighbors saw Haleigh in the afternoon, and I think Mrs. Neves said the relatives with the clothes were there in the evening. :shrug: I suppose it's possible that the sighting and the visit were actually very close together, and the neighbors saw Haleigh soon after Mrs. Sykes left. Maybe we'll see it in print somewhere, but don't think Prime News puts out transcripts.

I can't remember the interview--was it just a reporter, or was it on a show? But, Grandma Neves was saying that family members went over "to check on the kids" which, @ the time, I was thinking--checking on Haleigh and Jr, possibly because someone KNEW they were home alone? Or, was Misti included in "the kids"--and it was to see how they all were getting along.
