Do we have any documentation as to whether the parenting classes were completed? That makes me uncomfortable that it was just strongly recommended. Next question did i dream or did i read that TES was going to come back and search again?


IIRC, back when the report came out that DCF cleared Ron, an article or news caster explained that DCF cannot order parenting classes, only a court can, and without filing a complaint with the court, they can only recommend; it's like that in CA.

On or around the time of the concert, Tim said he would search, the following week, he said he thought HaLeigh was dead, and wanted to focus on those that could be alive, and said he wouldn't search. Recently, I have read on boards that he said he would come back and search when the vegetation died back.

I hope that someone continues to watch this case, it seems that interest has ebbed again.

Yeah, for sure, before you know it, the whole family will behind bars together!!! Lisa, toothless hag that she is, and I was blown away at the fact that she is all of 39 and she looks three times older than that!!! Guess all them good drugs she took has aged her considerably. And she is probably going to end up in prison on those stolen check charges as she already has a record. Now ole Tommy here has an extensive record and he strikes me as a loser that will be a loser his entire life and will never get the meaning of turning your life over and I predict he will be in and out till he hits habitual status, however, I am not sure if FL has the three strikes law, if they don't, they sure need it and he is a prime example why the three strikes law should apply, a three time felon with no intention of ever being anything else and that seems to be the theme for the whole family, just plain no good for nothing trash.

Clearly, should have never been allowed to breed and have idiots for children, but they are a product of their upbringing, so is it any wonder Misty and Tommy are the way they are? They have not been raised to respect the law and abide by them, they live like pigs, and apparently did not give a lick their daughter quit school in the 7th grade and has done nothing with her life but party with other low life's and then she hooks up with a man 8 years her senior with two kids, one of which has medical issues and this broad can't care for herself but it mattered none to Ron, he wanted his jail bait and his cake too, but seeing as he was raised pretty much the same way, these kids were doomed and especially Haleigh as I never have bought that whole love fest and neither does Art for that matter. Haleigh is not around to ask whether or not she loves Misty and wanted her as a "mama" And now that it has been 9 months, I feel soon LE is going to throw in the towel and declare her deceased as they have ran out of steam, this child is not going to be seen at a Walmart in Toad Suck KY, and I still maintain gator filled pond or the landfill.

So, TN hasn't had arrests and such, has she? I mean, working for a county law enforcement as a dispatcher. Would you be able to hold that job if you had arrests? I guess, maybe it would depend on why the arrests were done, and whether or not one is convicted?

And peer pressure would come up and I told them all, that no matter what other kids would tell you, to stay away from anyone who tries to get you to do drugs or drink or even smoke and none of them thankfully, got into drugs and even now some just social drink if at all. my youngest, I do not think will need the lectures, he knows that he is above all that and has a good head on his shoulders and also hangs out with good Christian kids and I know everyone of them and I like them all. His girlfriend Mandy wants to be a doctor and he wants to be a weather anchor on TV and his friend Justin wants to be a police officer and Jake wants to be a lawyer and all these guys get awesome grades!! Very proud of all my kids,. Now some disappointed me, Sarah got pregnant way too early and so did Corey Lynn, she had 5 kids by the time she 20 and lost them all except her last two, twins. All the fathers are losers and three of them were adopted out and now she has it together, but this girl was so beautiful, I kept telling her when she grows up to become a model and that did not happen, but I love anyway.

My beautiful Rae Ann, was taken out by a an illegal alien high on heroin in 2006 and she was studying to be a vet and no doubt would have made a wonderful vet,. Glen her brother, has had a few scrapes with the law, but is now married with two kids. Karina and Shannon are married and have kids and Robi Jo is married and Holli is living with her boyfriend and is back in school so I think they all have done good, Rae Rae will be forever in our hearts. So you can clearly see Misty and her siblings were raised horribly with no role models, or morals, I am betting all of them were getting high with Mommy and Daddy at a young age, school apparently was not a priority and neither was a decent home, Misty has claimed that often they were homeless and living in cars and you can see where that is probably true as all you have to do is look at Lisa, she looks way older than 39 and that is due to severe drug and alcohol use, Couey was 51 when he croaked and he was 48 when arrested and he looked like he was 76!!! I am lucky, I am 50 and I can't believe I do not have an wrinkles yet and I attribute this to I am not a sun worshiper, I am fair skinned and I have had some really bad sunburns in the past and I don't care about being all brown and wrinkled like a prune, yeah, a tan looks nice, but the sun damages skin badly. Even tanning beds burn me, I only used one once and was only in it for about 20 minutes and I burned. But people that abuse drugs and booze, it catches up with them and Lisa looks like she is half way to hell and I am sure losing her teeth was due to neglect, users don't care about personal hygiene, surprised Misty still has teeth in good shape. As for Tommy, big surprise, they are all users and abusers.

Anyone read NG's book yet? I expected it to be more juicy than it was considering the topics she deals with on her shows and this book put me to sleep!!! While written well, the whole plot is a complete sleeper and not worth reading IMO. She trumpeted for weeks over her book and mine is all over hers and I am almost finished with it and now I have to put it in manuscript form and send it to that literary that it is interested and see what happens. While I might not be the next Lisa Gardner, I think the book is pretty good and basing it on actual people and places made it fun to write despite the fact I am writing about a serial killer who is a cop in a small town in NH and I based his character on that scumbag cop I have told you all about and if he were to ever read it, he is gonna know that I have gotten my total revenge and satisfaction, while he is not a serial killer he is a child molester and a woman beater and a stalker and the best part should this ever go into circulation, everyone will know from that neck of the woods who I am writing about. Some of the characters are also based on actual good officers I worked with and some real townspeople in these towns including my former landlord and a tavern and pizza establishment that I frequented and other places in the 4 towns I write about. I have written 25 chapters and the end is near, I am at an impasse on that, while part of my head wants to end it this way, the other part wants it this way so I have to really concentrate as to how it ends and then I will proofread it and make it ready to be shipped out. if anything I had fun writing it and if it doesn't end up on the top 10 fiction books, I am OK, my friends and you all will have copies, that I can promise!! Croslin's brother jailed on drug charges

The brother of the woman who said she was the last to see missing Putnam County girl HaLeigh Cummings was arrested on drug charges Thursday morning.

Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr. -- the brother of Misty Croslin, the 17-year-old ex-wife of HaLeigh's father, Ronald Cummings -- was found asleep in the front seat of his van near his home in Satsuma at about 9 a.m.

Putnam County medics woke Croslin, 23, and a deputy saw a prescription pill bottle and a sandwich bag containing "several blue pills" in the front passenger seat,

He said he had dropped off his son at the bus stop and had "taken a nap because he was sleepy," the report stated.

His father, Hank Croslin, came to the scene and asked his son if he had any "roxies," referring to the pain medication Roxicodone. The elder Croslin told a deputy "roxies" had been stolen from his house the night before.

Tommy Croslin denied knowing the pills were in the van, even though, the report noted, the pills and a cigarette lighter were the only items in the passenger seat.

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a first-degree misdemeanor, and was being held at the county jail on $1,508 bond.

In a news release, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said it was not giving interviews regarding the arrest as it "does not have any bearing on the Haleigh Cummings investigation, and we do not want subsequent arrests, such as this one, to cause distractions for our investigative team."

In VT, you do not have to reside in the county or even the state to be a dispatcher and I did have to wear the full monty uniform right down to my name plate and dispatch star and my dept was a stickler for keeping everything ship shape. That meant clean, pressed uniforms, regulation socks, shorts, and boots and I always thought we all looked good, very professional. Man, I will never understand how it is that Misty got away with not going to school for all those years, living with her brother and shacking up with Ron who surely to goodness already had a reputation for robbing the cradle and impregnating underage girls. Now I don't believe he went there that night anymore than I believe Crystal has something to do with it, she is innocent in all of this and notice she isn't getting arrested or in the news on a daily basis??? Case in point, Misty Cummings – I made the decision to help Misty get away from a very volatile situation. She was in danger for her life, and I felt that if something happened to Misty, we would lose any chance of finding Haleigh. That is ALL this was about. So, I enlisted the help of one of our volunteers who had befriended Misty during our time in Satsuma, Donna Brock. Donna did a wonderful job in keeping Misty safe and, until the “road rage” incident, was doing so under the radar. This was not about media attention. Again, as I have said many times, I will use whatever resources that are at my disposal to find Haleigh.

At the time of this posting, I am on my way to another search. Before I go, I am on my way to deposit a small check I received from a construction job I did, into the Texas EquuSearch account so that we can help another family. (See copy below.)



We were able to help bring closure to another family yesterday with the help of some hard working Texas EquuSearch members, along with the help of the local community who so willingly helped us because of the work we have done and continue to do.

I would invite any person who sits, wearing a suit on television, to come and put your jeans and boots on and join us on a real search. I wonder who our “so-called experts” are.

Haleigh Cummings – The Benefit Concert – Fact Or Fiction?

There was a huge amount of scuttlebutt that did the rounds of us press types when seemingly out of nowhere, a benefit concert to secure more money in the search for missing Haleigh Cummings was announced. Early reports had it that all proceeds would be going to the Haleighbug Foundation. I guess what confused me was the huge amount of secrecy that seemed to accompany this concert. At one point the deal was, send money, and then we will tell you the address.

It is still confusing, both TJ Hart and myself have been trying to find just one person that attended. A loyal reader of BNN did send us some interesting video. This purportedly was shot at the concert.

The band is fine, I have no issue with them, they even know their way around the frets of a guitar. But, and this is a very big BUT, I hang out in the music industry. I know musicians, videographers, producers, soundmen, roadies, I know em all. I have never in my life seen a video of a concert that at some point does not show the audience...

How anyone can not consider Ron responsible for allowing Misty to babysit after her bender is beyond me. He told the judge that his mother and family would be watching the children; that they lived with her. Zoned out victim of statutory rape is a far cry from that.

I haven't read any posts where anyone thinks that Ron is responsible for Tommy's drug arrest, or even for his use or anything.

I do think the judge probably expected the living arrangements with mom to last until Ron could find a mature, responsible person to care for his children...whether he shacked up or married this person or not. I don't think Ron would have gotten custody if, @ the time of the decision, the person who would be taking care of his children was a 17 y/o immature kid who, from all accounts, is a drug user.

What is very troubling to me at this point, there is a child missing. When one looks at the living arrangements, drug use (illegal drugs as well), Misty's inability to take care of herself nevermind two children, how can anybody not look at Ron and his lifestyle. He is the PARENT and parents have a duty to make good decisions for their children. He obviously did not do that. His child went missing on Misty's watch. Directly or indirectly he is responsible. He left his children with her. I think some posters have lost sight of the fact that a young child is missing. Not missing because she was walking home from school; but missing from her house while Misty was in charge.

I can only assume that Greg Page had sex with Misty and let's hope that at some point he'll be arrested along with Ron for statutory rape. However, returning to the issue at hand, Greg Page wasn't responsible for Haleigh's health and welfare; Ron was, and he made the conscious decision to leave Misty in charge with disastrous results.

Please spare me your lecture on the new age philosophy of underage sex; it's still illegal. It was going on right under the noses of parents and officials and nothing was done to put an end to it. Yes, Misty most likely had one of the crappiest upbringings in the history of crappy upbringings, but that doesn't excuse Ron's penchant to act as a pedophile three times that we know of.

Not sure what has brought about this spate of Ron love and excuses for his behavior, but if you'll take the time to read the thread, you'll have a pretty good idea of where people stand on his actions (and non-actions) and also the laws of Florida regarding the issues that you and others seem to be willing to excuse.

There are plenty of ways for Haleigh's parents to help, they could support the searchers, they could pour coffee, they could shake hands, pass out sandwiches, and from what I can tell Crystal has been very supportive, but Ron, not so much.

What difference does it make if the negative things that the family does are repeated now or later? What? Ron runs out and gets married to the last person known to have seen Haleigh, the fried pie that he left to babysit her, and there is a waiting period for when we should be able to mention how unusual that is? Negative things said are not bad. That is a big problem with the world now, we do not say negative things. When things, be it actions or not taking responsibility for your actions, are negative you have to call it like you see it. Not doing that is wrong. Not saying negative things to people is not making sure they take responsibility for their actions and that is why people will not do what they should do. No one has ever told them that what they do is wrong. If you never tell a child no or that what they are doing is wrong they think that their actions are correct and you force them to hit adulthood thinking everything they do is alright. The end product is an young adult that continually has run ins with the law and can not figure out for the life of them why. They were always right as a child no matter what they did so they must be right now. The earlier a child learns that not all that they do is good and that they are responsible for what they do the better off they will be.

Court actions and trials are all about negative. So is prison, something that some of these people may find in their future.

He really could use a good role model. some teachers really go out of their way to give kids things that help them and often if there is a male teacher and a student doesn't have a good role model they will make sure the child gets that teacher. In elem. school we don't have that many male teachers but starting in 6th gr or so we have more usually. I will say, and I love my colleagues, but some teachers are more apt to go out of their way to make sure there is a good fit with teacher/student when making up the class lists. And some teachers make it their business to get to know the parents. I have literally made home visits to some of the neediest kids to give my advice to the parents. And to impress on the parents that school is important.I think a lot about the students I have; I do not have a young family so I can spend more time making HV and phone calls. Within the first month every parent will get a call from me and I do give suggestions. So with a little luck a teacher will take it upon himself/herself to watch over Jr knowing the background....

Oh gosh, one of the reasons that I don't fall down and worship K-12 educators is that when I was involved in Boy Scouts and had a Cub Scout den, we met at the school and so many teachers would contact me about such and such student and tell me how he was a lost cause, the family was trash, I shouldn't waste the time and energy, etc. These kids can be labeled at a very young age and never have a chance at a better life. If teachers who frequently spend more time with the children than the parents do won't use their knowledge and influence for good, WTH will?

When I was growing up I had many truly outstanding teachers. My son had two. They were the ones who cared about their area and didn't resent the curriculum; many of his teachers were downright pathetic. I've done a lot of substitute teaching and have also worked with public schools in investigations and find the attitude of many administrations appalling. It's nothing short of institutionalized prejudice/stratification.

Doesn't look like anyone in Putnam County gave a rat's ass about Misty; wonder if and hope it will be different for Butterbean. :shrug:

Your a credit to your profession Woostock-bless you for that. I sure hope Junior is pegged and has some guidance in life. So young to process a missing sister let alone the display of role models he is exposed to. I hope he chooses a better path in life :rose:

Now, I know he was worried about his daughter and all that, but he should have taken a minute of his time to call the company. I am sure they would have worked something out with him, most companies do, even tho it seems he was still on his probation period.

I guess some folks figure they can not go back to work forever, if the daughter isn't found. I don't know the time lines of all the other people whose child is missing, but most have to @ some point go back to work (unless your last name is Anthony :D) I truely don't how well I would function if it was my kid missing, but I do know that the bills don't just up and pay themselves, and I have to keep a roof over my head, some gas in the car, and a bit of food in my stomach. Wonder how long benefits last (other than, it seems Washington just passed some legislation that increased the period of time.)

I should have said, too, I guess if one of my kids went missing, I could buddy up w/the A's or Ron, and figure out how to work the system for me to just be off work indefinitely. And, in the A's case--even long after the body of the child has been found. Oh, man, I don't think I could stoop so low as to even approach the A's, and am not sure I could act so nefariously. After all, I do have to look @ myself in the mirror everyday. And sleep w/myself every night.

Wonder how long benefits last (other than, it seems Washington just passed some legislation that increased the period of time.)

I should have said, too, I guess if one of my kids went missing, I could buddy up w/the A's or Ron, and figure out how to work the system for me to just be off work indefinitely. And, in the A's case--even long after the body of the child has been found. Oh, man, I don't think I could stoop so low as to even approach the A's, and am not sure I could act so nefariously. After all, I do have to look @ myself in the mirror everyday. And sleep w/myself every night.

I hear ya Woo-gotta find something laughable here lord knows these cases are so tragic. Ya know and this might sound off but i worry more about Junior than Haleigh at this point. I believe Haleigh is in a better place and now surrounded with all the things in life she deserved. Junior on the other hand breaks my heart. So young with so many untoward adult influences. Hopefully he can be one of the few we hear about who breaks the cycle :rose:

there is always hope that Jr breaks the cycle. I have actually seen kids do that. However, many times there has been some one , actually someone, a person, who has made a difference in that kids's life. I have seen it happen; not often but it has happened. I have been a teacher for a very long time and there are kids who make a decision to do things differently. I think most need a mentor, someone who believes in them and encourages them along the way.Last yr a new family with 13 kids came to our school. One of the kids was a keeper and I tried so hard to get him into a private boarding school for kids just like him, smart, very smart but a family out of the gutter and uncaring. As I made applications, phone calls, they up and moved. No forwarding address. they changed addresses on a continual basis. If the boy makes it it will in spite of his family not because of it.

Texas EquuSearch was to be the beneficiary of a portion of the proceeds raised by the benefit. I just had to break up another stupid fight on my Twitter site today.

Once again, some in the blogosphere have appointed themselves God and are passing out their judgment on the parents of killed or missing children.

Diena Thompson’s lawyer said the family does not think Somer knew the person who kidnapped and killed her. Investigators said the 7-year-old Somer disappeared on her way home from school in Orange Park, Fla. The search came to a tearful conclusion when her body was discovered in a Georgia landfill days later.

Diena’s been doing a lot of interviews on national TV shows. Now she’s getting criticized by some people for it.

She’s getting hate mail and calls.

“I wonder what kind of person would attack me when I’m already down,” said Diena.

People are calling her a bad mom, among other things, for letting her kids walk home from school.

It is not much different than some of the nasty things some bloggers are saying about the Haleigh Cummings disappearance one county south in the town of Satsuma, FL.

Although there is plenty of suspicion and bizarre behavior to go around involving Haleigh’s family members, there are also those on the internet who as so hateful on all sides of this equation that one would think a civil war involving old ladies swinging purses is about to erupt.

OBSERVATIONS REGARDING THESE TYPES OF PARTICIPANTS:

* Appear to have a distrust of police
* Appear to have a hatred for men in general
* Appear to revel in the shortcomings of any woman
* Appear to have a strong need to find an alliance of like-minded opinion-makers
* Most don’t even live in area—let alone in the state of Florida.

What has spawned this behavior as of late?

This reporter doesn’t know the answer, but he is very shocked at its existence.

Haleigh Cummings Update – Kim Picazio - An Interesting 180

It was announced today that the attorney who represented Crystal Shefield for several months, Kim Picazio has been cleared of all wrong doing by the Florida Bar Association. A complaint concerning Picazio had been filed on behalf of her ex-client Cyrstal Shefield. A complete version of the letter can be found here.

There is one part that I find most cusious, this is in the section discussing Picazio’s reasons for not filing for a change of custody hearing:

…Ms. Picazio also contends that your current living situation, health concerns, inability to work, and drug addiction/seizures prevented her from filing a petition for a change in custody

The key in this sentence is Drug Addiction. I read this and then showed the letter to my wife to confirm my memory. “Whoah there” was Jan’s comment, ‘This is not what Picazio said to us’.

Several months ago I had written some fairly critical articles about Kim Picazio and uninvited she popped in on one of our Sunday broadcasts. During this conversation Cobra brought up the subject of Crystal’s drug use. Picazio hotly denied that Crystal ever did drugs, and most certainly was not an addict.

I am sure that with a little digging around in Blog Talk Radio vaults I can find the sound bite. As the saying goes ‘From the horses mouth.’

It's all just disgusting; people bashing the hell out of the parents (yeah, I'm one of them) and then claiming to care more about Haleigh than her sorry kinfolk, and muddying the waters for LE. The guy who went to the Haleighbug Center under the guise of making a donation was Donald Snodgrass; he's the one Cobra arrested and then was ordered to let go, and then was subsequently arrested for false imprisonment.

A little snooping can go along way. Here is what I know. The board was Hearts4Haleigh and it was run by Hobbit who is a RSO from an incident that took place years back and the accuser has recanted.

Pirate is the screenname of the person that was the mod on Hobbit's board that KP was spouting off at the mouth about. There is alot more too the story but I am not getting involved past what I have already said.

Now here is my contribution to KP's interview with TJ Hart...who in my honest opinion, and based on my personal interaction with him, can't be trusted any further than I can throw him right now and that wouldn't be very far.

Personally I would say to read that whole section but the part that most pertains in this case is this. Especially now.

(a) represent another person in the same or a substantially related matter in which that person's interests are materially adverse to the interests of the former client unless the former client consents after consultation; or

(b) use information relating to the representation to the disadvantage of the former client except as rule 4-1.6 would permit with respect to a client or when the information has become generally known. For purposes of this rule, "generally known" shall mean information of the type that a reasonably prudent lawyer would obtain from public records or through authorized processes for discovery of evidence.

And then this:

Rule 4-1.16 Declining or Terminating Representation

(d) Protection of Client's Interest.

Upon termination of representation, a lawyer shall take steps to the extent reasonably practicable to protect a client's interest, such as giving reasonable notice to the client, allowing time for employment of other counsel, surrendering papers and property to which the client is entitled, and refunding any advance payment of fee that has not been earned. The lawyer may retain papers and other property relating to or belonging to the client to the extent permitted by law.

One other point that I would bring up, well two points actually, is if Crystal or Marie either one received a bill for the services of KP then she can, by her own admission, be charged with Mail Fraud, which is a Federal Charge. Tom Cruise did a movie titled "The Firm" that was based on a Grisham book by the same name that goes into detail how that one works.

Secondly, I am still looking for the laws or procedures that state that any complaint with the bar is a matter of public record, because if it isn't, and I do suspect that to be the case, KP again hung herself with her phone interview with TJ Hart.

I remember that incident; Nancy Grace acted like Crystal was on the lam. I guess what I wonder about Picazio's allegation is that since Crystal was driving back and forth to the Haleighbug Center, presumably with Chloe in tow, did she make report neglect or endangerment to the authorities? And it would seem to me that even though she no longer represents Crytal, she should continue to protect her to the extent of her service, which was to better Crystal's image. The bar's letter has pretty much blown that out of the water. For whatever reason, KP must have answered the complaint in such a way that the bar inquiry accepted her proof or substantiation that Crystal is drug addicted. Is she qualified to make that diagnosis? Is she repeating privileged information from Crystal's medical record?

There not one single solitary person involved with Haleigh that I trust starting with the judge and trickling down to her parents. Sad. Sad. Sad.

Oh wait. I trust Junior, but he's likely being warped and indoctrinated even as we speak.

Bar Complaint Against Attorney in Haleigh Case Dismissed, Entire File Released

In a story you heard first on News Talk 97.3 The Sky, the Bar complaint against the former attorney for Haleigh Cumming's biological mother was dismissed by the Florida Bar.

In the complaint, Crystal Sheffield alleged that her pro-bono attorney Kim Picazio violated Rule 4-1.6 by disclosing confidential information concerning her representation of Crystal related to the search and investigation of her missing child, Haleigh Cummings. Crystal also contend that Ms. Picazio did not act with diligence in filing a modification of her child support. Ms. Picazio responded to the allegations in the complaint and rebuttal with specific denials of each allegation and a detailed history of her involvement in the case.

Don't know what to think about whether or not Haleigh (or her remains) will ever be found. Heck, it's a miracle that Caylee was ever found, but thank God she was.

Ain't it the truth? Not surprised that Crystal has self-medicated and don't really blame her, but that bombshell was truly disgusting and you wonder how it was handled by DCF when they were notified by the hospital. Don't blame KP one bit for minimally delaying a petition for change of custody, but it does bother me that she lied about Crystal's drug use and it does bother me that she and her crew engaged in internet activities. You don't have to join a forum to monitor/lurk and she can't take on the world to defend Crystal and she shouldn't have gotten involved in any internet games.

And I guess if Crystal was allowed to have custody of Chloe it shouldn't come as any surprise that Ron was allowed to have custody of Haleigh and Junior.

Nope, no news regarding finding Haleigh. Mostly sidetracking stuff. Whatever was going on w/Crystal's ex-lawyer has been put aside. And, from that, we learned that indeed Crystal is/was into drugs, with drugs being found in Chloe's system @ birth. Misty has removed the restraining order against brother Tommy and has moved in w/the family. Guess Ron's been laying low.

Tommy Croslin – In The Slammer Again

Haleigh Cummings ex stepmoms brother has once again found himself behind bars. This is the second time this month that Tommy Croslin has been a guest of the PCSO. The charge this time is battery. This is a misdemeanor charge, yet he appears to be be held with no bond. This is an unusual situation.

The PCSO has been contacted but are declining comment saying only that they are still trying to understand what happened...

On November 19,20091 was dispatched to a fight in progress. Sergeant Manning was on scene as well. Hank Thomas Croslin Senior (Hank) and his son Hank Thomas Croslin Junior (Tommy) had just finished fighting.
Hank was on the porch when we arrived. Tommy was inside the house talking to Sergeant Manning. Neither Hank nor Tommy wanted to admit who started the fight.

So from reading that report, the 17 year old is Misty. Thought she was emancipated when she got married. Tommy's little ones were there and the six year old was afraid to go with him after he missed the bus.

Maybe he thinks he will be safer in jail than wherever Misti lands. Even w/the restraint lifted, I doubt that he is a 'Changed man' so the underlying cause of the restraint is still there. If he is in jail, they can't get into any fights that might become physical. Plus, he might think it not a good idea to be around

Well i guess it may come to light in the days ahead. It would sure be nice if Haleigh was found and given a proper burial. I hold out little hope now that she is alive :rose: poor soul. I have often thought that and have said as much as the same thing, How come LE can't get to the bottom of this. We are not talking Rhodes Scholars here, and surely LE must have some ways to get them, at least Misty, to talk. I find this very troubling that we may never know what happened to Haleigh. Something is very wrong here, if indeed, it is never known. One thing we know is the families are all troubled and are hooked on drugs and think nothing of bashing each other in all sorts of fights. It breaks my heart to see innocent children born into families such as these. I do see that as well when I make HV and wish I could get the kids new parents...Kids deserve better.

Maybe Misty is a stubborn brat so accustomed to prevarication and not being called on it or held accountable that she just continues to stonewall. LE knows that she has minimally lied and that there are discrepancies, maybe it's just a matter of finding a reliable third party to back up their suspicions or prove their theory(s). And that can't be easy given Misty's family and circle of friends. I do wish the hypnosis attempt had been under better circumstances and successful, using a forensic psychologist/psychiatrist for example. Then again, in some states a person who has been hypnotized can't testify in court. If the hypnosis was approved by LE that could either mean that Misty would never be put on a witness stand or Florida doesn't have that law on the books.

Remembering back to the Scott Peterson case, a witness wasn't allowed to testify, not because she had been hypnotised, but because the hypnotist didn't have specific credentials that were required for her to be able to do so. IIRC, if the hypnotist had been on a list of acceptable hypnotists, she would have been allowed to testify.

More Trouble For Family of Haleigh Cummings

More trouble for the family of missing Putnam County girl Haliegh Cummings.
The father of the woman who was at home when Haleigh went missing has been arrested for doctor shopping.

Police say 41-year old Hank Croslin Senior acquired hundreds of Oxycodone and Hydrocodone pills from three different doctors earlier this year.

Croslin has been charged with withholding information from a practitioner.

Police found this information as part of their investigation into the disappearance of the young girl.

There have been a series of arrests of family members connected to this case, but none have been involved with the disappearance.

Haliegh has been missing since early February.

I've had a couple more email alerts about Hank's arrest and they report that he received 300 pills from three different doctors between April and May. No doubt Hank was doc shopping, but why was he prescribed so many meds in a two month period from any of those physicians? Seems like the doctors need some looking into also.

Averaged out that fifty pills per month per prescription/doctor. That seems excessive to me, but I have a high pain threshhold to begin with and it's been reported that Hank has some sort of injury, so I guess one or two per day isn't that unusual. (See? Just shows what I know!) Still wonder how many mg/dose.

I kinda think you're right about her being the only one who knows where Haleigh is, and my reasoning may be simple but it works for me; if Misty had help carrying Haleigh out, there would have been no reason for those doors to be propped open. Period.

I'd be afraid of Ronnie too. He's all about control. That's why he prefers girls to women.

Cummings Family Hangs Lights to Honor Haleigh

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Christmas lights are newly strung at Haleigh Cummings' father's and great-grandmother's home in Welaka in Putnam County.

However, the banner with the missing child's picture on it in the front yard may be the most important addition.

Annette Sykes, Haleigh's great-grandmother, said her family is having a hard time this Thanksgiving.

"It's really hard to give thanks when part of your heart and family is not here and you don't know where they are," Sykes said as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Sykes said her family doesn't feel much like decorating for the holidays, but it was important to do it for Haleigh's younger brother.

"If it weren't for Junior, we probably wouldn't," Sykes explained, "but he has to have some kind of normal life."

As for the investigation, Johnny Greenwood with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said detectives and an FDLE agent are reviewing tips they have received about the Haleigh Cummings case.

At Hill's Hardware in Pomona Park in southern Putnam County, the seasonal message on an outdoor sign changes. However, the part that reads "Pray for Haleigh" has been up since February when she disappeared.

That's sad for John Woods, the employee who was inserting letters to spell "Happy Thanksgiving."

Woods said, "It's real sad. I'm real sad because I just had a little baby girl. I'd be sad if my girl come up missing."

Rodney Sheffield of Hill's Hardware told First Coast News, "We have been through a lot in Palatka looking for [Haleigh] and so forth. Our hope is they'll find her, hopefully alive and if not, at least it'll bring closure."

He looked at the sign and added, "One more prayer may help."

Back at Sykes' home in Welaka, red ribbons are tied to the trees. They're not for Christmas. Those ribbons have been up for months there. They are ribbons of hope for a little girl's safe return.

"Somebody's got to know something, and that person can come forward" without being identified, Sykes said.

As Christmas lights line her home and while telephone poles along the highway don festive lights as well, the signs of the holiday season seem to be all over Putnam County.

But there's still no sign of the little girl.

Haleigh was 5-years-old when she vanished Feb. 10 from her father's mobile home, just outside the community of Satsuma.

Misty Croslin, Haleigh's father's ex-wife, was babysitting Haleigh that night when she said she awoke about 3 a.m. and noticed the kitchen light on. The back door was propped open with a brick and Haleigh was missing.

Despite extensive searches and a $35,000 reward, Haleigh has not been found.

This means ever member of this low life family has been jailed for one crime or another except for the killer of Haleigh and this from a guy who claimed Ron tried to poison him? I can't believe any doctor would have prescribed this many narcotics knowing what a low life he is and his daughter has been in the news for 10 months now amd has admitted publicly to digging Oxy's?? Now according to a TH on the show, they think Putnam is trying to gain more info from her family as they all have pretty much thrown her under the bus some fashion or another, like Tommy claiming to have gone there that ngiht and found no one home under the bus and while these charges are felonies, I don't think this is a big deal, they clearly want something from him and he will try, mark my words to ether give them something TRUTHFUL or lay some crap story to get his own ass out of the slammer! Now if they can arrest her entire family, why not her? I was kinda laughing to myself this morning picturing Lisa Croslin removing place settings from the table since two of her menfolk will be having TG dinner in the pokey, but then I felt guilty because it's very likely that Haleigh actually loved these people.

A holiday without Haleigh

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. (WAWS TV) - The front of Annette Sykes house is beginning to look ready for the holidays. There are Christmas lights around the sides of Haleigh’s great-grandmother’s home, as well as red ribbons on all the trees. Those ribbons have been there long before the lights went up. They serve as a constant reminder that this family will never be whole until Haleigh is home.

“It was hard for her birthday, it’s hard today with it being Thanksgiving…it’s hard to give thanks without her here,” said Sykes.

Barely able to speak, Sykes summed up the holidays in one sentence.

“Without her here---it just won’t be the same,” said Sykes.

Annette says a typical Thanksgiving when Haleigh was home would consist of everyone going to a family member’s house, eating, and enjoying each other’s company.

“She would be at her Papa Jeff’s…he always cooks a big Thanksgiving dinner…just enough to feed an army basically. She’d be there with the other grandchildren, playing around, screaming and hollering. You know, basically having a ball,” said Sykes.

This Thanksgiving, the family will not be together. Annette says she may stop by her daughter’s house. She says Haleigh’s father Ronald is spending the holiday with friends. She says it’s sometimes easier for him to cope with memorable days like Thanksgiving without family around because they remind him too much of Haleigh.

“We try not to say anything with Ronald around because he’s so torn up. He just saying he doesn’t know how he’s going to get through it. And I can understand why,” said Sykes.

“It is really, really hard for him. He desperately wants his little girl back. He needs her and I know she needs him. I know how close they were, she’s daddy’s girl and she needs him back,” said Sykes.

Annette said anytime there is a holiday or special day that was memorable, it is very difficult for everyone who knew Haleigh. But, she says the worst has yet to come because Christmas was Haleigh’s favorite holiday.

“All holidays are terrible…but with Christmas coming up, you know, that’s a kid’s special time anyway. If Haleigh’s not here it won’t be Christmas,” said Sykes.

Annette made a plea to whoever has any information in the abduction of Haleigh. She said she doesn’t so much care about punishing whoever did it. She just wants Haleigh home.

“The main the thing that we want and have wanted for months now is just for Haleigh to be home. We had hoped that by now we’d have a really great thanksgiving with her here with us”, said Sykes.

“Please have a heart, have a soul, have a conscience, whatever it takes to bring our baby back home to us. Her dad needs her desperately. Her brother needs her, we all need her, and I know she needs us. I don’t care anymore, we just want Haleigh home…it’s not that we wouldn’t like to see them punished, but if we can get Haleigh back, I don’t care. We need her back. We want her back more than anything,” said Sykes.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office says it continually conducts interviews with potential suspects in this investigation. It says the reward to bring Haleigh home is $30,000. Haleigh Cummings Update – BNN Radio Sunday Nov 29 @ 3pm Central

Although it is the Thanksgiving long weekend we will be running our regular Sunday program to look at the events in the search for missing Florida child Haleigh Cummings.

The panel is still being finalized but on the ‘for certain’ list is Simon and Jan Barrett, ace reporter for WSKY 97.3 TJ Hart, and investigator William Cobra Staubs. I am also hoping that we will be joined by crime writer Denny Griffin and investigative journalist Levi Page.

Another of the Croslin family found themselves under the bus this week. Hank Croslin Sr. was arrested on charges of doctor shopping. It is alleged that he obtained over 300 tablets of oxycodone and hydrocodone from at least three different doctors. The interesting aspect of this is that the arrest was made by FDLE rather than PCSO. While there may be no significance to this, one has to wonder the rationale. FDLE have stated that while Hank Croslin Sr’s activity has nothing to do with the search for Haleigh Cummings they will take the opportunity to talk to him about the case.

Scuttlebutt that hit my radar today concerns father Ronald Cummings, one would think that in his time of loss he would seek solace in his family, apparently though he opted to avoid his family on Thanksgiving.

Does Crystal Sheffield have a new MySpace page? If she does, then things may not be well in her relationship with Chad.

Was the comment left here on BNN really by Teresa Neves? The jury is out on that one. It certainly came from the heart, and if it is legitimate it was truly a plea with feeling and we here at BNN heard you loud and clear.

It was also pleasing to see that the Nancy Grace program gave 15 minutes to the the story on Thanksgiving Day, while the cast left something to be desired, at least the subject was given some air time. And for that we should be grateful...

Christmas without Haleigh Cummings

WELAKA, Fla. (WAWS TV) - It has been almost ten months since Haleigh Cummings was taken from her Satsuma home in the middle of the night. Her family is getting ready for Christmas, but the idea of spending the holiday without Haleigh, is almost too much to bear.

"If I could get anything for Christmas, it would be Haleigh. No doubt. That's all I want for Christmas," said Haleigh's father Ronald Cummings.

Ronald invited Action News teams over to his house to speak with him and his mother about the holidays. Ronald has moved a massive memorial filled with Haleigh's toys and pictures to the main room of the Welaka home hes staying in. The memorial takes up an entire wall of the living room.

Christmas was Haleigh's holiday, according to Ronald and his mother. On Christmas, Haleigh was one of the most animated of all the children who came over to enjoy the holiday.

"It's just going to be horrible if shes not here," said Haleigh's Grandmother Teresa Neves.

Ronald remembers the holidays when Haleigh was home as well. "A typical Christmas would be the whole family gets together at my grandmas house. We eat a real big dinner, and then we open a lot of presents when were done eating. A lot of presents, a lot of smiles from the children. It's going to be hard," said Ronald.

Ronald says the reason they are even celebrating this year is for Haleigh's 4-year-old brother, Ronald Jr.

Haleigh's grandmother says whenever they're out shopping for presents, Ronald Jr. constantly reminds her to buy something for Haleigh. She thinks in some way, it still hasn't settled in that his sister is gone.

"It's the same for everyone in this family. We just want whoever has her, let her go. You can have anything we have, just bring our little girl home," said Teresa Neves with tears in her eyes.

"Thanks to all the law enforcement that was involved in helping look for Haleigh. Thanks for all the ones still looking for her. Please continue to look for her. I need to find my daughter. She's not yours. She has a family who loves her," said Haleigh's father Ron.

A candlelight vigil will be held on the night of December 10, to keep the awareness up about Haleigh. The reward for information on Haleigh's whereabouts now stands at $30,000.
