Haleigh Updates And More - BNN Radio Schedule For Sept 18/19/20
We have a very busy lineup this coming weekend.
On Friday Sept 18 at Noon central, 1pm eastern we will be putting on a special update about the Haleigh Cummings case. My guest is TJ Hart of The Sky 97.3 and we will be having a one-on-one discussion about this weeks events. The fire seems to be increasing in intensity in both the Croslin and Cummings camps. Misty’s older brother Tommy Croslin remains behind bars in Putnam County facing a theft charge concerning a hand gun. With Bond set at $50,004 it seems unlikely that he will be going anywhere fast. This development is an interesting one. While police are publicly saying that this arrest has nothing to do with the search for Haleigh Cummings, I know that there are some behind the scenes rumblings to the contrary.
Last night father Ronald Cummings made yet another ‘yawner’ of an appearance on HLN’s Nancy Grace show. Quite honestly CNN should have saved the expense of booking a studio, it was a complete waste of time and money. Even Ms. Grace seemed to be having a hard time keeping her temper in check. Misty Croslin meanwhile seems to be laying low. As TJ put it, there are so many Croslin’s throwing themselves under the bus, they are getting tangled up around the axle!...

OMG...Hank, Jr./Tommy not to be confused, etc. looks like a little Hobbit! I probably shouldn't have said that, it just came bursting out.
Actually, I see a lot of what 'alcohol fetal syndrome' looks like - wonder if their mom drank a lot (biting tongue just writing that):
Signs of fetal alcohol syndrome may include:
Distinctive facial features, including small eyes, an exceptionally thin upper lip, a short, upturned nose and a smooth skin surface between the nose and upper lip

and did you see this commment at the end of your article?
It really is too bad the Ronald could not have worn such nice attire as he did last night from rent a suit then he did at his wedding to the child bride...

Suz, I think we discussed FAS re: Misty's facial features too. And she's a heckuva more normal looking than Timmy or Tommy (or Lisa!).

There are always some pretty interesting comments over there and some FOS ones too, but at least they're discernible. At least most of those folks can spell (which we can't say about Art Harris or about half of his followers).

AH in the immortal words of NG, "like putting perfume on a pig"?? Anyone catch Ron's attire last night?? What was his lawyer shooting for,. upwardly mobile redneck??? I could not stop laughing when I saw him in that suit, pink tie and all???? Bet that is the only good article of clothing he has ever worn, we have seen him in all colors of the rainbow in them wifebeaters???? And that mustache has got to go, shades of Hitler, I just don't think he is attractive at all no matter how much his lawyer tries to pretty him up, he has too much of that white trash look about him to be anything else? No I am all for a sharp dressed man, but I don't think when ZZ Top wrote that song, they had him in mind???? I like my guys in nice polo shirts and nice jeans and leather pants don't hurt me either?? Especially if they look like Travis Tritt who fills out a pair of those yum oh!!! And Trace Adkins, that man fills anything out!!!!
I think his lawyer means well, he is trying to clean his client up, but we have too much of his usual self in mind when we tune into whatever show he is on and what is up with the Miz Nancy sh!t??? Like he is talking to his second grade teacher or something??? And she licks it up big time, like she is his savior of grace or something??? So I guess their love affair is still going strong, wonder how she will feel if we ever get a true version of the truth, like he knew all along his child was dead??? And stuck by honey pie when the whole world is telling him he needs to lose her??? She must be a rocket in bed or the whole child bride thing really turns him on??? He KNEW the first day he laid eyes on her she was jail bait, but told his bro that he had to have her? And she being an inbred brain dead twit, must have thought he hung the moon, an older man digging her??? Now I would like to tuck up to a young man in bed myself, but when I say young, I don't mean I would be like Joan Collins and fall for a guy 32 years younger than her, I am 50 so like 35 and up? And I cut off at about 60, after that they want you to make popcorn for them and watch NSACAR all day or go bowling or go coon hunting and make you cook whatever they bagged and brag on the little woman's cookin somptin good??? SO I hope everyone else had a chuckle at Ron's expense too???

I've seen fence posts with more animation than Ronald showed. I wonder why he put on the suit now? We've all seen Ron Cummings in his natural habitat and like Wind said "it's like putting perfume on a pig..." I don't think we found out anything from Ron we didn't already know. The relationship between Misty and him is just bizarre under the circumstances.
Does it drive anyone else crazy that Miss Nancy puts on her soft caring voice whenever she talks to Ron? Wonder what she's going to do if she finds out he's guilty of at least having some knowledge of what happened to Haleigh? We all know she has a history of misreading people.

Maybe he is dressing and talking the way he is going to have to in court.
I think NG is so nice to Ron to soften up so she can jump on him and get him to speak what he knows. IMO

I suppose this could be an ongoing project with her. Maybe she knew it was going to take a lot to crack Ron. Time will tell. In the meantime, I hope he loosens up the next time he talks with Miss Nancy. He looked like he was wound just a little too tight the other night.

Boy, I'm gonna get me another cuppa coppee (as I said when I was a little girl, before my mom took me for speech therapy) and read the transcript.
Is any of it on video at CNN.com ? As I said, we don't get her on CNN Internatonal.
Put on FOX for the Greta rerun, was sure she would do something on the Yale student, but she started off with a report on Iran that Israel news barely gave five minutes to, proceeded with more politics, so I turned it off.
Gonna go make that cuppa.

Ron was totally zoned out during that appearance. I was getting high just watching him be high. There has to be some money for those kooks when they appear on NG. I don't see him or any of them using that much energy to fly to her show, without a reward for it. Precious little Haleigh has gotten lost in the rotting rind during these interviews..
I'm sticking with my theory that Misty had some bad company or came back home after leaving the kids alone with some bad company and she either passed out or got messed up and knows exactly who took her. I'll go with , "passed out"... she stone knows, and LE will get her.
Who ever took that child is either someone she is protecting or someone who has control of her, or someone who has some serious state's evidence to use against her. It's not hard to intimidate a 17 year old brain dead bubble head.
And the suit? You're quite right wind. Perfume on a pig. What a waste of good cloth!

Baby sitter's brother asked about Haleigh
PALATKA, Fla. (AP) - The brother of a missing north Florida girl's baby sitter spoke with investigators after being arrested on a grand theft charge.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Hank Croslin's arrest Tuesday wasn't related to Haleigh Cummings' disappearance, though he agreed to be questioned Thursday about that case. Authorities say three other inmates also were questioned.
Croslin's sister, Misty, was baby-sitting Haleigh when the girl vanished from her father's mobile home in February.
Haleigh remains missing. Her father was arrested last month after an altercation with Croslin.
Croslin remained at the Putnam County jail early Friday on $50,000 bond. Jail records didn't show whether he was represented by an attorney.

Four queried about Haleigh
Published: Friday, September 18, 2009 1:12 AM EDT
Palatka Daily News
Investigators questioned four people Thursday in connection with the case of a missing Putnam County child, including the brother of the last person who saw the child.
Hank Croslin Jr. was interviewed by detectives Thursday night.
Croslin, 23, is the brother of Misty Croslin-Cummings, who was babysitting the 6-year-old in Satsuma when she was reported missing Feb. 10. Authorities have said her accounts of what happened the night of Feb. 9 have been inconsistent.
Her brother, meanwhile, has been jailed on a grand theft charge since Tuesday, an arrest sheriff's office spokesman Lt. Johnny Greenwood said was unrelated to the investigation into Haleigh's disappearance. However, detectives said he agreed to be questioned Thursday.
"We asked him some questions about the Haleigh case," Capt. Dominic Piscitello said later.
The three others questioned Thursday also were jail inmates.

Hank Croslin Jr. Questioned About Haleigh
Brother Of Haleigh's Stepmom Was Arrested Tuesday On Grand Theft Charges
POSTED: Thursday, September 17, 2009
UPDATED: 10:56 pm EDT September 17, 2009
PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Hank Croslin Jr., who is in jail on grand theft charges, was questioned by Putnam County police Thursday night about the disappearance of the missing 6-year-old girl Haleigh Cummings.
Croslin Jr., the brother of Haleigh's stepmom Misty Cummings, was arrested Tuesday on charges unrelated to Haleigh's disappearance and is being held on $50,000 bond.
Police said they interviewed three other people currently in the Putnam County jail about Haleigh's disappearance.
Croslin Jr. was seen being taken from the criminal investigation room back to the jail Thursday around 10 p.m.
Video: Hank Croslin Jr. Questioned
Investigators told Channel 4's Jennifer Bauer that it is common to question jail inmates while they are in custody.
Investigators told Channel 4's Jim Piggott that they didn't learn anything from Croslin Jr. but will keep talking to him.
Police said they wanted to dispel rumors from earlier Thursday that they were searching or had found Haleigh. They said that's not the case.
Police said they will have three more people come to the jail for questioning on Friday.
Investigators called Misty Cummings, the last person to see Haleigh the night she went missing, the key person in the investigation. They said knowing her brother was currently in jail gave them all the more reason to question him.

Amber Brooks and NayNay Prevatt seem obvious choices for two of the inmates questioned by LE, but other than Donald Sapp (RSO who is possibly a relative of Haleigh) I'm drawing a blank. Guess I'll think about it while I rake some leaves and do some mulching.

Poor Haleigh. It would almost be a blessing if this child is indeed dead, she would have grown up with all this assorted trash and probably would have been knocked up at age 12 by one of her daddy's friends having quit school in the 6th grade, history has a real way of repeating itself in these scum families. so I almost wish that she is dead, but on the slim chance that she is alive, and is found, the authorities need to get her and Jr far far away from these scumbuckets!!! Now Misty's little bro has been arrested, anyone here really surprised to hear this??? The whole clan of Croslin's are right up there with the Couey's, pur D white trash scumbucket losers??? Not that the Scummings are any better, they ain't, bu tat least thier whole family does not have police records, Ron does, but as far as his dad goes, I have not heard much about him to begin with and the only time I ever saw him is when he and Geraldo were in each other's faces?? Oh NG now.
Hello everyone, I've been a member for awhile but this is my first post. I belonged to another board before I joined this one and ended up "shell shocked" and hesitant to post because of it.
I've often had the same thought about this poor little girl. I work in the medical field and know there are worse things than death..far worse, in fact.
Haleigh didn't have a chance, and if in fact, she is still alive and returned to that pack of inbred idiots, she will probably end up just like them. Unless of course, something drastic happens.
I've known one person in my lifetime that has been able to overcome such an upbringing and realize how rare it is. Usually the only way to achieve it is to totally turn your back on the entire family and walk away. Far away.
I've wished..prayed..many times that Haleigh was kidnapped by some decent person or family. Someone who saw what was happening, someone not remotely related to anyone that ever knew either side of the ignorant clans involved. Maybe a nice middle aged couple that couldn't have children and would love her to pieces and teach her how to grow up happy, healthy (emotionally as well as physically), and educated.
Someone who would give her a bed instead of just a dirty mattress on the floor, and blankets that didn't double as curtains.
I've been interested in forensics since childhood and followed many cases. Caylee Marie (I can't make myself use the anthony last name) was heartbreaking but this one takes the cake.
Haleigh would have been just as well off being raised by a pack of wolves than by the low life involved. Both sides are guilty as far as I am concerned.
And just as there will be no justice for little Caylee unless both people responsible for her death are brought to justice, it won't happen for Haleigh either...unless everyone involved does some major prison time.

:seeya: Hope it's better for you here at Crime Library, although we have our share of idiots.
I'm constantly amazed that LE, despite the fact that they say very little, frequently manages to stipulate that they want to return Haleigh to her family. I for one hope that when and if she is found (dead or alive) that a couple of her family members are in jail and have zero access to her.

I am amazed at LE too, and not in a positive way, considering the fact they are likely to place her right back in the same situation she was in. And why is the little boy still there? That really gets me!
And even if she is returned unharmed, there are at least 4 people that should do jail time, aside from the one(s) that snatched her.

Everyone has their share of idiots, not everyone is run by a gestapo.
I am amazed at LE too, and not in a positive way, considering the fact they are likely to place her right back in the same situation she was in. And why is the little boy still there? That really gets me!
And even if she is returned unharmed, there are at least 4 people that should do jail time, aside from the one(s) that snatched her.
But the placement of Haleigh and of Jr. isn't up to LE. It's up to a judge, with input from investigations by CPS. The last decision by them didn't seem to me to be a good one. Or, should I say last 2--putting the kids with good ol' dad in the first place, and now leaving Jr there.

Welcome!! And let me go out on a limb here and say was it IN SESSIONS where the idiots and creepshows abound??? They have their own little clique over there whereas here everyone is an equal and we agree to disagree and I have been known to be one of the worst of the outspoken and I will say what I feel freely here and that is the way it should be. I only belong to this board as I have found others to not be of my liking either and am comfortable here as all should be.
Over on Sessions, you disagree with the clique and they will find a way to ban you and here, you have to be pretty bad to get banned. And what galled me too is how many ped lovers and serial killer groupies and other sick freaks are on that board and I will not be baited nor will I feed the trolls and I got sick of reading posts from what I suspected were from out and out pedophiles and one comes to mind. He claimed to be a lawyer, but I doubt that very much and always seemed to be really turned on about those twisted freaks like Couey, this guy watched the entire trial, listened to the same horror show I listened to and was pretty upset when that maggot was found guilty and consequently got the DP??
I actually went out and had a few drinks that night to celebrate knowing while that was awesome, A 9 year old precious child was still dead and her Daddy was never going to get another good night kiss from his baby. And then when another maggot Joseph Smith recieved the same fate, this guy was bumming??? I will not tolerate another ped lover or a serial killer groupie and thank God we all are astute enough to know when we got one trying to lurk here and they poof will be gone!!
And today, kids, I finally bought a freaking car!! I got my student loan award money and I bought not a Jeep like I hoped, but a good solid Ford Focus and I like it. It was weird to just have wheels again and it needed a few things like a new muffler so I brought it to a shop that came recommended by friends and they replaced the brakes as I had a bent rotor and a good tune-up and away I went!! I bought a CD player as it only had a radio and seat covers and then Walmart was having a terrfic sale on flat screens and my TV in the bedroom died as it was like 14 years old so I broke down and got a 26 inch and it fit perfectly on my entertainment center and it was on sale for $148 and my friend Adam works there and was able to give me his discount so it ended costing me only $122!! A freaking steal!!
I have never in all the years I have lived here, going on 7 next March, gone to the UP so my sister and I are going next weekend to see the Machinaw Bridge and get a hotel room and just have some fun!! We haven't done that in ages, she works a lot and luckily has the weekend off so I am looking forward to that!! And I put the living room TV in the bedroom as I am lazy I admit it, I like having a set in there, doesn't everybody?? And I broke down and got a cell phone too!! A little behind the times I am, but I bought one that does not require a plan and you only pay for what you use and the phone was only $48 and I got 300 free minutes and hell, for what I plan on using it for, suits my needs, I am not a person that has to be glued to either a phone or a computer but it comes with a camera and it has a two-way on it and I like that and I don't have the first clue how to text and probably won't use that feature much.
And I put money away in my savings account too and I don't plan on touching it, like a little nest egg, as I pretty much have all I need now, except a man would be nice?? Another thing I like about the car is it is a 5-speed and I have always been partial to a stick, maybe because I am a hick?? I don't know but if they are even making manual tranny's anymore, but the reason the guy I bought it from was thrilled to hear from me, because it is a stick, nobody wanted it and I remember when I first lived here, I actually moved me and my wordly goods and the cats in a Ford Escort wagon with a U-haul trailer and I bought my Jeep a few months later and decided to sell the Escort and I put a sign up at the park bulletin board and plenty of people wanted it, till they realized it was a stick and one guy had never learned how to drive one and I offered to show him and he just about burned up the clutch before we left the driveway so he did not get the car, another guy got it and it is still on the road, Ford makes good products!!
Life is good, boy it must really suck for Misty though!!! I bet she ain't having a good night and I suspect she won't for the rest of her sorry ass life, she needs to come clean and how many people do you think have already told her, that it would be so much easier on her if she did cop to killing Haleigh as the more time passes and the walls start closing in on her, and she has somewhat lucked out because the right cop has not come down the pike yet, but I believe that there will be and she is all done, put a fork in her!!! And she will have no one in her corner, her family is pretty much are divided, her own sea hag of a mama ain't even in her corner now, and her brothers, or at least one of them has completely turned against her and the one at the Cape and his wife are not feeling warm and fuzzy towards her either.
And her Daddy tried to fish lie for her, but I bet he won't again. And that leaves Ron. Now since we don't get any straight answers out of him, and he apparently loves this useless waste case, it is anyone's guess that if he is innocent in all of this and does not have a clue where Haleigh is, it will hit him hard and I have said this before, she fears him more than she does LE and you don't have to be a rocket mechanic to know that she has seen his rage first hand, but for her, this is as good as it gets, he beats her, she thinks it is because he loves her, and you know this is how they both were brought up and I echo the sentiments, Haleigh never stood a chance, she was doomed from the second she was concieved and if she is alive, one can hope that she is being well taken care of, but the odds of that are slim. Poor baby.

I had that experience and I had to get off the board or I was in danger of becoming what I detested. Those trolls can be very successful at turning a good person into a bad one. Ooof! 99% of them wouldn't dare say some of those things to our faces. They're spineless weasels. There were some good posts though, I do admit, but the riffraff was so vicious and I'm sure clearwater was a busy bee. Yes there were a few jerks here (very few) I'm one of them sometimes, especially before my morning cawffee where my brain lives.

I am overwhelmed by all the kind welcomes. Thank you ALL!!
I was never banned or even reprimanded, and it wasn't any of the boards mentioned. I just got tired of all the venom and stayed away for a few months. Out of curiosity I went back and it was the same old crap.
This board is so different! You have no idea how nice it is to be able to read and actually find information, without having to dig through all the muck.
I actually joined here and forgot about joining. I was so disgusted from the other place I just gave up reading forums and tried to get as much news as I could from blogs.
I've been reading here (again) for a few weeks and wanted to comment on a post, went to join, and discovered I was already a member.
I realize LE has no control over Jr. but didn't child welfare (whatever it is called in Fla.) check out his living situation shortly after Haleigh went missing? I could be wrong (and probably am) but I thought they did and left him with RC.
Florida does seem to have it's share of 'pond scum', but I know for a fact it isn't just Fla. or Satsuma. It's everywhere.
I must admit I have never seen anything like the Croslins and Cummings though. And the sad thing is that they don't have a clue. Ignorance really is bliss, especially in those 2 families.

New search for Haleigh Cummings
PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed they are conducting a new search for Haleigh Cummings this weekend, according to FOX 35's Jacksonville affiliate WAWS TV.
Dive teams and investigators from various law enforcement agencies are scouring a pond south of Palatka, having found evidence that could be related to the 6-year-old’s disappearance in February.
Officials on Saturday said they will drain the body of water for better access to the site.
FOX 35 News reported Friday that search crews and a surveillance helicopter were checking an area of Interlachen off U.S. Highway 19 in North Central Florida, where detectives found a field of marijuana.
WAWS TV had a crew which shadowed law enforcement agents throughout the afternoon Friday and inquired about whether there was a possible connection between the discovery of the marijuana field and ongoing search for missing Haleigh Cummings. Rumors had surfaced on Internet chat boards and among some in the community of Satsuma, where the child disappeared from her father's mobile home in February.
Major Gary Bowling with the PCSO said while out there, detectives found something "suspicious" and called in more investigators, but was quick to point out that there was no connection to Haleigh Cummings. He did confirm on Friday evening that the small lake off U.S. Hwy 19 is being drained and a search of the area will be conducted over the weekend, and today officials admitted they were looking for the missing girl.
Earlier Friday, there were dive teams and special crews from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, but they insisted they were conducting training exercises, according to news sources.
Two questioned in Haleigh Cummings case
Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy has confirmed the brother of the last person thought to see Haleigh Cummings alive and his wife have been brought in for questioning regarding the Haleigh case.
The Sheriff's office will not release any details surrounding the interview, only saying on Thursday night Hank Croslin Jr. was questioned in regards to Haleigh. While Action News was at the Criminal Investigation Division early Friday morning, Hanks wife Lindsy showed up to be questioned. On the way inside, Lindsy told Action News she does not know what Hank Jr. may have said to Sheriff's Deputies. She says she got a call on Thursday that she had to come in Friday morning for questioning but did not know why.
The Sheriff's Office says they have questioned Lindsy and Hank Jr. numerous times in relation to Haleigh's disappearance, and they will continue to do so. It says it will question anyone at any time who may know details about Haleigh.
According to investigators, the interviews with Hank Thomas Croslin, Jr. and a jailed friend of Misty Croslin, Kristina Prevatt, did not provide the information which led to the latest search, WAWS reports.
FOX 35 has a crew at the scene in Putnam County.

No Evidence Discovered thus far in Search for Haliegh Cummings
SATSUMA, FL -- Information surrounding the case of missing Haliegh Cummings led investigators to lower a pond in south Palatka so dive teams could search for evidence in hopes that it will bring them closer to her discovery.
Although, rumors among the town circulated that Cumming's body was discovered, Sheriff Hardy says no physical evidence has been discovered.
Dive teams from surrounding counties will be the searching a pond later today.
The current search is the result of one of the over 4000 tips received in this case. The Putnam County Sheriff's received information that there is possible evidence in the pond.
The description of the evidence will not be released at this time.
According to the sheriffs office, although coincidental, the recent interviews with Hank Thomas Croslin Jr. and Kristina Prevatt did not provide the information which led to this search.
Sheriff Hardy wants to quell all rumors surronding the case and there is no evidence to support any of the accounts stated.
At her home in Welatka, Haleigh's paternal great-grandmother, Annette Sykes told First Coast News' Jennifer Lindgren she'd gotten word of police activity in the Stokes Landing area south of Palatka.
Sykes says raced to the scene, to find deputies and investigators working in the woods. When Sykes questioned the investigators and asked if they were looking for Haleigh, she says they would not give her a yes or no answer, and told her she could not get any closer to the scene.
Neighbors describe the area as heavily wooded, undeveloped private property that is hard to access. They say deputies used bulldozers to widen a dirt road through the trees so pumping equipment could be brought down to the pond.
The sound of generators could be heard down by the pond Friday night.
Neighbors say they've never seen investigators search the approximately three-acre pond, though it is near a part of the St. Johns River directly across from Satsuma.
First Coast News' Jessica Clark spoke with Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, who said he has not been contacted by anyone in regards to Haleigh being found. However, he did say he doesn't expect to be the first notified.
A detective said Haleigh's mother, Crystal Sheffield, contacted the Sheriff's Office with questions about what was going on in Putnam County Friday.
Marie Griffis, Haleigh's grandmother, also told First Coast News she has not been contacted by the sheriff's office and is unaware of any findings.
Haleigh was 5-years-old when she vanished Feb. 10, from her father's mobile home, just outside the community of Satsuma.
Misty Croslin-Cummings was babysitting Haleigh that night when she says she woke about 3 a.m. and noticed the kitchen light on. The back door was propped open with a brick and Haleigh was missing.
Misty's brother, 23-year-old Hank Croslin, was recently questioned by investigators in connection to the case. Hank was arrested on a grand theft charge; three other inmates were also questioned.
Hank and his wife were questioned earlier in the case by investigators.
Misty was questioned by investigators. Tim Miller with Equusearch administered a polygraph test requested by Misty. Miller says she told him she wanted to clear her name. He says Croslin-Cummings 'failed miserably.'
Miller says Croslin-Cummings wanted to do more, so she took a voice analysis test.
CLICK HERE TO HEAR MISTY'S VOICE ANALYSIS TEST
He says she failed that too, and he says she was uncooperative with a hypnotist.

A Cape Cod couple was also questioned in Haleigh's disappearance. The Cape Cod Times reported Florida authorities questioned the couple at the South Yarmouth state police barracks. Investigators told the Cape Cod Times they were following up on a tip that Haleigh had been spotted in a Walmart in the area.

Haleigh Cummings Body Not Found; Lake Drained, to Be Searched This Weekend
Putnam County Sheriff's Office told WAWS that a search would be conducted in the area of the drained lake during the weekend.
Update: Saturday morning, Putnam County law enforcement addressed reports about a connection between the weekend search and the missing little girl, saying the search in the area called the Mondex is not related to the Haleigh Cummings investigation. Police say they drained the lake and are searching the area in an effort to find property reported stolen from a nearby home.

New Haleigh Search Confirmed After Conflicting Statements
PALATKA -- Putnam County deputies admitted they were draining a pond near the home of Haleigh Cummings after earlier denying that the operation was related to the search for the missing 6-year-old.
Dive teams have been searching a pond on the other side of the St. Johns River from Satsuma since Thursday, but deputies had made conflicting statements about why.
Local newspapers and television stations in the area reported both law enforcement and Haleigh’s family had said the diving and draining of the pond was related to the girl’s disappearance, but deputies on the scene Saturday morning told News 13 the search was unrelated.
Reasons deputies gave for the search Saturday ranged from training to looking for drugs, to recovering stolen property taken from another nearby home.
Finally, Sheriff Jeff Hardy released a statement before noon Saturday that the search was, indeed, for new clues in the Haleigh Cummings case.
People who live near the pond said the area is not easily accessible.
Searchers have checked several ponds in the seven months since Haleigh disappeared, but this marked the first time they have drained one.
Deputies said they would not release any more information regarding the search until they are completely finished, and that this search is just one of many that still have to be done in the case.
Deputies also said they found about 100 potted marijuana plants on the side of the pond.
Haleigh was last seen Feb. 9 before deputies said she was kidnapped from her bedroom in the middle of the night.
Investigators spent the days and weeks following her disappearance searching for the girl and collecting tips.
Deputies interviewed all registered sex offenders in the Satsuma area, but all were cleared.
Haleigh’s family marked her sixth birthday in August...

Tip Leads to Search For Clues in Haleigh Cummings Disappearance
Deputies from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office have been searching an area of Palatka since Friday night and are finally confirming that the search is related to the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings.
In a statement released by the Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Jeff Hardy wants to quell the rumor that Haleigh's body has been recovered. He says that is not true.
The current search south of Palatka is the result of one of the over 4,000 tips the cops have received in the case.
The tip is that there may be physical evidence in a body of water. But police stopped short of saying what that evidence is.
Divers from the Putnam, St. Johns and Clay County Sheriff's Offices are conducting underwater searches. And they've lowered the water level to make the search easier.
The Sheriff's Office says it's coincidental that the search comes a day after they interviewed Hank Crosslin Jr, Haleigh's uncle.
Police say the interview did not provide the information which led to the search.

Divers Searching For Evidence In Haleigh Cummings Case
WESH 2 Caller Says Divers Searching In Mondex Subdivision
PALATKA, Fla. -- The Putnam County Sheriff's Office has received information that there is possible physical evidence in the Haleigh Cummings investigation located in a body of water south of Palatka, police said Friday.
A WESH 2 caller said crews were searching in an undeveloped subdivision in Putnam County called Mondex.
PCSO Lt. Johnny Greenwood said Saturday that Sheriff Jeff Hardy wanted to quell any rumors that Haleigh's body had been recovered.
He also said that the PCSO has received numerous calls regarding a search currently being conducted south of Palatka.
"It has been our position that we will not discuss operations or searches prior to their completion," Greenwood said.
Saturday's search is the result of one of more than 4,000 tips received in this case, Greenwood said.
Divers from the PCSO, St. Johns County Sheriff's Office and Clay County Sheriff's Office are conducting underwater searches in the area. In an attempt to assist the divers, the decision has been made to lower the water level in the pond to reduce the search area, Greenwood said.
He said, although coincidental, the recent interviews with Hank Thomas Croslin Jr. and Kristina Prevatt did not provide the information which led to the search. However, he would not release any details about the interviews.
"Although we continue to interview people in this case every single day, there have been no significant developments to report," Greenwood said.

Haleigh Cummings Update – Sat Sep/19 8am
Authorities in Putnam County are draining a large pond near Satsuma. Some news organizations are reporting that they are looking for Haleigh’s body. Phone calls earlier today reveal that this may not be the case.
This pond is the location where authorities found a grow operation on Thursday, approximately 100 large pot plants were discovered. This is also the reason that a helicopter was seen in the area that day. The police are merely saying that they are looking for evidence. Now if by chance something is found pertaining to the search for Haleigh then that would be a bonus. My sources are saying that the primary focus is evidence concerning the Grow op. One source is saying that they may be trying to locate some ATV’s that are in someway connected with the drugs.
The decision to drain the pond followed two days of searching by police divers. The Mondex property, which is southwest of Palatka near State Road 19, has the reputation for being a large party location...

Pond Drained in Search for Evidence in Haleigh Case
Authorities in Putnam County are busy this weekend draining a large pond in the Mondex property in their search for evidence in the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings, the 6-year-old Satsuma girl who vanished in February.
The decision to drain the pond followed two days of searching by police divers.
The Mondex property, which is southwest of Palatka, has the reputation for being large a party location. As you first heard on The Sky, officers discovered about 100 marijuana plants being grown in pots next to the that pond on Thursday.
Sources say the decision to drain the pond coincides with several things including the discovery a good-sized marijuana grow, reports of stolen vehicles and possible clues to Haleigh’s whereabouts.
Maj. Bowling told PalatkaDailyNews.com they were searching the Mondex for evidence in the Haleigh Cummings case. Law enforcement's focus on the site was prompted by tips and information from detective interviews.
PCSO says the Haleigh information regarding the pond did not come from the questioning of Hank Croslin Jr or his wife. But sources close to the investigation told 97.3 The Sky the information came from the interviews of several other people and parts of a letter from an jail inmate in another state.
Putnam County officials said the draining of the pond southwest of Palatka will take a couple of days. The full investigation will probably not take place until Monday. 97.3 The Sky is planning to file live news updates from the scene beginning Monday.

I totally AGREE. He should do time just because of the crap he was exposing her to.
He forced a 16 year old (that wasn't their mother) to be responsible for his children while he worked nights. And he knew the 16 year old did drugs and had just come off of a binge. (IF this is indeed what happened, it could actually be much worse).
He tried to call her from work and she didn't (wouldn't?) answer the phone, and she was alone with his children, AND he had easy access to various people that could go check on them and didn't.
I could write volumes more but all in all...he put her in harms' way, so he should be held accountable. And at the very LEAST should lose custody of his son.
And if Haleigh is still alive and is brought home, she will still be in harms' way..because that is the lifestyle the entire family wallows in.

Search Moves to Mondex (watch video here)
Effort to find Haleigh Cummings involves several local agencies
Authorities begin draining L pond to make task easier
Authorities are draining a large pond in the Mondex in their search for Haleigh Cummings, the 6-year-old Satsuma girl who vanished in February.
The decision to drain the pond followed two days of searching by police divers.
Removing water will ?make the search easier,? said Maj. Gary Bowling, director of law enforcement for the Putnam County Sheriff?s Office.
?We got out here and we determined to do this the best, and really, to lessen the risk to divers, we needed to pump out a large volume of the water,? Bowling said. ?We?re going to pump out a majority of the water and take a look and we?ll be back in business.?
Searchers have checked several ponds in the seven months since Haleigh disappeared, but this marks the first time one has been drained.
The Mondex property, southwest of Palatka near State Road 19, is notorious as a party location sometimes drawing large crowds.
Debris, such as abandoned tires and other items, is scattered across the area.
Officers on Thursday discovered about 100 marijuana plants being grown in pots next to the pond.
Draining what is known as the L pond could take two days, officials said. Water covers about 5 acres and reaches depths exceeding 5 feet.
As Bowling spoke, heavy equipment from the county Public Works Department widened and smoothed roads to the heavily wooded site.
Also, crews from Georgia-Pacific, the city of Palatka and the St. Johns River Water Management District brought in trailer-mounted pumps and pipes. In addition to providing equipment and personnel to install it, Bowling said they ?engineering, advice and some other expertise.?
The property?s swampy conditions have made it difficult for searchers to work.
?The character of this area is that it is soaking wet,? Bowling said.
Authorities say Haleigh was last seen by neighbors about 8 p.m. on Feb. 9. She was reported missing about 3 a.m. Feb. 10 by Misty Croslin, her babysitter and then girlfriend to Haleigh?s father, Ronald Cummings. He was working a late shift at PDM Bridge, an industrial firm in Palatka.
Haleigh?s disappearance prompted a massive search for several days involving hundreds of law enforcement officers and volunteers.
No trace of the blond-haired kindergartener has been found.
As the search was under way, the sheriff?s Major Crimes Unit also began an intensive criminal investigation that has received more than 4,000 tips. Detectives have interviewed dozens of people.
The dual efforts have been assisted by officers from neighboring counties as well as several state agencies and federal law enforcement personnel.
Despite the work, no arrests have been made and authorities have not identified any persons of interest. Sheriff?s spokesman Lt. Johnny Greenwood has said repeatedly that the agency hopes to find Haleigh alive and return her to her family.
As for this week?s search at the Mondex, Bowling said ?we?re searching it for evidence in the Haleigh Cummings case.?
He said law enforcement?s focus on the site was prompted by tips and information from detective interviews.
?We?ve had to prioritize tips in this case,? Bowling said. ?This body of water has been brought up in a couple of occasions.?
Based on the information, authorities began searching it Thursday because ?the weather is right and we?ve got enough personnel,? Bowling added.
This week, investigators have been interviewing the babysitter?s brother Hank Croslin Jr., who goes by Tommy, since his arrest Tuesday on a grand theft charge.
Officers also have interviewed Ronald Cummings numerous times. Both he and Haleigh?s mother, Crystal Sheffield, have been cleared of suspicion in the disappearance, authorities say.
But Misty Croslin, who married Ronald Cummings in March, has been described by the sheriff?s office as a person with key information. Investigators also say she has given inconsistent accounts of her activities on the night of Feb. 9.
Misty Cummings said she put Haleigh and her little brother to bed around 10 p.m. on Feb. 9, and awoke around 3 a.m. to discover the back door propped open and Haleigh missing.
Family members said Haleigh is not one to wander off alone in the middle of the night.
Conflicting stories began when Misty Cummings? described the clothing Haleigh wore to bed before she disappeared. The clothing she described was later found in the residence.
Later, questions about her conflicting stories during an interview on NBC?s ?Today Show? resulted in a reply of silence.
On Aug 17, Haleigh?s sixth birthday, the sheriffs office issued a strongly worded statement about Misty Cummings.
?She has failed to provide any sort of detailed accounting of the hours during the late evening and early morning of Haleigh?s disappearance,? it said.
?Furthermore, physical evidence at the scene contradicts Misty?s sketchy account of her evening activities,? the statement said. ?Any citizen with direct knowledge of Misty?s activities during that evening or into the early morning is encouraged to report that information to the Putnam County Sheriff?s Office.?

Putnam County Pond Search Tied to Haleigh Cummings Tips!
Here’s the sheriff’s department release that went out couple hours ago, verbatum:
Sheriff Hardy wants to quell the rumor that Haleigh Cummings body has been recovered.
This information is not correct. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has also received numerous calls regarding a search currently being conducted south of Palatka. It has been our position that we will not discuss operations or searches prior to their completion. We have done this to prevent any scene contamination issues that could arise from onlookers. We have determined that due to the widespread false rumor of Haleigh being found, it is best that we address these current events.
The current search is the result of one of the over 4000 tips received in this case. The Putnam County Sheriff’s has received information that there is possible physical evidence in the Haleigh Cummings investigation located in a body of water south of Palatka. The description of the alleged physical evidence will not be released at this time. Divers from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, and Clay County Sheriff’s Office, are conducting underwater searches in this area. In an attempt to assist the divers, the decision has been made to lower the water level in the pond to reduce the search area.
Although coincidental, the recent interviews with Hank Thomas Croslin Jr. and Kristina Prevatt did not provide the information which led to this search.
Neither Sheriff Hardy, nor members of the investigative team, will be participating in formal interviews or providing statements regarding these events. This search is just one of many searches that have been conducted thus far in the investigation.
We appreciate the media for assisting us by keeping Haleigh in the news. This continual coverage has led to many of the tips we have received to date. We do ask that members of the media and public remain out of the area where the current search is taking place. In the event that evidence is recovered, we do not want any issues with possible contamination from onlookers. If anything significant develops as the result of this search, another release will be provided.

Tip leads to search for evidence in pond
Putnam County authorities are using pumps to lower the water level of a pond where evidence linked to the Haleigh Cummings case was found.
PUTNAM COUNTY - Investigators are searching a large pond south of Palatka for evidence linked to the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings, a 6-year-old who vanished from her Satsuma home in February, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities are not saying what tip led them to the area or what they are searching for in the pond off a dirt road in a rural area surrounded by woods.
"The current search is the result of one of the over 4,000 tips received in the case," Lt. Johnny Greenwood said in a written release.
In an attempt to help divers, the water level in the pond was lowered to reduce the search area.
Saturday evening, a pump continued sucking water from the pond, flooding nearby woods.
The pond is about a quarter-mile off State Road 19, off a dirt road that in some spots is washed out with the water being displaced by the pumping.
You need a four-wheel drive vehicle to get to the pond or you can walk through the muddy, swampy, bug-infested dirt road that leads to the water.
The scene is several miles southwest of Palatka in a general area known for weekend partying and four-wheeling. The area is rural with no homes visible.
The pond, which is surrounded by trees, covers several acres.
A Putnam County deputy stood guard over several pumps -- one that was shooting water into the woods and others that stood idle -- Saturday evening. But for the most part, law enforcement stayed away from the scene, while television news crews waited out on S.R. 19 for any update they could get.
Haleigh has not been seen since Feb. 9 when she went to bed about 10 p.m. Her father's girlfriend who has since become his wife, Misty Croslin Cummings, woke about 3:30 a.m. to find the girl missing. She called 911.
Her father, Ronald Cummings, was at work when she disappeared.
The screen door to the house was propped open but there was no sign of forced entry.
Detectives had not named any suspects.
Last week, Misty Cummings' brother, Hank Thomas Croslin Jr., 23, was arrested on grand-theft charge.
Today, officials say recent interviews with him did not lead to the search and call the time of his arrest "coincidental."
Check back for updates.

Search near Haleigh Cummings home didn't turn up body
PALATKA, FL -- Despite wide speculation to the contrary, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office says a search of a pond near the home of Haleigh Cummings did not turn up the missing girl's body.
The search which began late Friday night, was in response to one of the more than 4,000 tips they have received about the the young girl's disappearance, authorities said. They are continuing to search the water for possible physical evidence connected to the case, but investigators would not elaborate on what they were looking for.
Divers from several agencies including Putnam County are conducting underwater searches, and they lowered the water level to reduce the search area.
The brother of the missing girl's baby sitter spoke with investigators this week after being arrested on a grand theft charge.
Although the sheriff's office said it wasn't related to Haleighs' disappearance, Hank Croslin agreed to be questioned about that case. The sheriff said his interview didn't lead to the search at the pond.
Authorities say three other inmates also were questioned.
Croslin's sister, Misty, was baby-sitting Haleigh when the girl vanished from her father's mobile home in February. She has since married Ronald Cummings, Haleigh's dad.

I've been watching twitter and a few other places. Apparently Timmy is back in town. I also just read that someone on Firstcoast news posted they were contacted and told that Haleigh had been found at 7:20 pm. I don't have verification though. Twitter is prone to gossip I believe, (like I have a right to talk!) but it seems there is a lot of scanner traffic. Wasn't Timmy in Cape Cod? And why would they need his DOB?

ETA: He was in Cape Cod, guess he made his way back home. But to what? The Rents have moved to TN and Tommy's in jail. You reckon Misty still speaks to him? Didn't hear the context of his DOB being given out. But they use it to verify his identity.

Haleigh Cummings family waits while new search begins
Police are draining pond to look for evidence in the Haleigh Cummings case. PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – Annette Sykes is the great-grandmother of Haleigh Cummings. She is also the woman who was asked to leave a newly designated search site for Haleigh Cummings on Thursday.
“We’re just pretty much frustrated the Sheriff’s Office doesn’t let us know anything. They don’t tell us anything, we have to find out on our own. Do our own investigating to find out what the Sheriff’s Office is up to,” said Sykes.
Annette said when she first heard Sheriff’s Deputies were searching a heavily wooded area in south Palatka off Highway 19, she headed down there. She says when she asked deputies if the search was for Haleigh, they lied to her.
“(They said) they weren’t searching for Haleigh, it had nothing to do with Haleigh, it was a training maneuver um, and then it was a drug bust, they had found marijuana. I mean, marijuana doesn’t grow underwater,” said Sykes.
Once Annette left, she said she had to let Haleigh’s father know about the search. Sykes says when Ronald Cummings found out another search was going on for his missing daughter, he lost it. She says even though Sheriff’s Deputies have done numerous searches before, a new one always brings new hope that Haleigh will be brought home.
“The fact that they are doing something makes you feel good, because at least you know they’re actually doing something physically, you can see they’re doing something. It’s not lip service. But then again you think, what if they find her. If she’s actually there, then she’s dead. So you have to pray and hope, let them pump it out and find out she’s not there, then they can go on to something else and actually find her,” said Sykes.
Annette invited us into her home where she talked about how she heard about the search, and what it means to her and her family.
“Until they physically bring us a body, Haleigh will always be alive. I mean, there’s nothing they can do to make us believe otherwise unless they bring us a physical body. Nothing’s ever going to change the fact that we believe she’s alive somewhere, and just hope and pray whoever has her will bring her home,” said Sykes.
Action News also spoke with Haleigh Cummings biological mother Crystal Sheffield. She says she had just been contacted by members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office who told her so far, they had found nothing. They say in the area they have been searching, all they have found is beer bottles, and nothing of any significance to the Haleigh Cummings investigation.
Haleigh’s family tells Action News the actual area being searched is a known hang out for kids looking for trouble, or a place to do drugs. We’re told it’s shaped like a giant grid with a large pond roughly three acres in the middle. It’s this pond Sheriff’s Deputies are slowly draining. Three massive pumps have been brought in and are draining the pond at a rate of two-thousand gallons a minute apiece. On scene on Saturday, Action News only saw one Sheriff’s Deputy guarding the draining equipment who declined to comment about anything in the investigation. Sheriff’s Deputies do say once the pond is drained, sufficiently, dive teams will go back in to try to get the physical evidence they believe may be in the body of water.

Haleigh Update: Pond is Being Drained, No Body Found
Saturday, Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy confirmed that a recent and ongoing draining of a large pond south of Palatka is related to possible evidence in the case of missing Haleigh Cummings.
Sheriff's Office first said that the activity at the pond was a training exercise, a marijuana sweep or the recovery of stolen vehicles.
Hardy, via a statement issued by Lt. Johnny Greenwood, said he wants to quell the rumor that the body of the Satsuma girl has been recovered. The Sheriff's Office has been beseiged with calls about he search off Florida 19.
"It has been our position that we will not discuss operations or searches prior to their completion," the news release said. "We have done this to prevent any scene contamination issues that could arise from onlookers."
Divers from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, St. Johns County Sheriff's Office and Clay County Sheriff's Office are conducting underwater searches in this area. They're also lowering the water level in the pond to reduce the search area.
Putnam County authorities said the recent interviews with Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr. and Kristina "Nay Nay" Prevatt did not provide the information which led to this search.
Croslin is the brother of Misty Cummings, the last person to 6-year-old Haleigh before reporting her missing. Prevatt is an friend of Cummings who has a history of drug arrests and was partying with her the weekend prior to Haleigh's disappearance Feb. 10.
The sheriff and investigative team will not be participating in formal interviews regarding these events, but they do ask that the area be kept clear to avoid interference in the search.

Soooo, they aint tawkin aye?
If they find Haleigh at this point, I don't guess there would be much left to autopsy. God what a horrid visual. I'm wondering if there is a lecher involved with this case. Just a long shot, but a case scenario might be that there was one and someone wanted the child dead so they'd not be named and the child wouldn't have DNA on her. Just a thought, not a good one, but a thought.
I don't wonder too much why Misty is a lying little sack of doo. And I was almost amused by her parents comments because they were not award winning parents, seeing how they let that girl leave home at 16 to go live with a trigger. Perps are attracted to sexual abuse survivors aren't they? And certainly those little survivors are attracted to perps. Am I saying she was molested probably most of her life? Um, yeah? Misty is older than her years in one way, and so much the child in another. She at least learned that some things in life are lies, so she lies too. Great training. I get the feeling she was treated like a receptacle, so she found Haleigh disposable. She finds herself abusable, right?

I find the search being near marijuana plants very interesting. Also if they have Timmy at a traffic stop they would be checking date of birth. I cannot remember if this has been discussed but what if Haleigh had an overdose of street drugs and died..........so they dumped the body and the door was propped open to make room to carry her outside?????

Those pot plants are in pots, surely there are some fingerprints on them, so maybe LE will be able to solve that crime.
I'm thinking that if a guy carried Haleigh out, he wouldn't have needed the door to be propped open or Misty could have held it open for him, but Misty's a different story. She would have a hard time manipulating the door and dead weight. For all I know, the cinderblock might have been a prop. There's a pretty good chance that LE was able to get touch DNA off the block that was used.

That is an excellent point. One I would have never thought of.
I left work, walked and had to come back here. I was thinking while walking how incredible it is that so many people care about these poor, lost children. And the one's who care most are complete strangers.
If Haleigh has passed away, I'd like to think that she knows how much people have prayed for her and thought about her. Maybe she does know, I sure hope so. I want to believe she knows in her little heart that she was important.
I would love to see her returned happy and safe, but not to that pile of garbage. And I don't call them that because of their 'net worth', but because of their worthlessness in every other respect.
Even the grandparents....where do you think the kids got it from? Ignorance breeds ignorance, and that's a perfect case in point.
What amazes me is that so many people pity them because they are grieving. Lots of guilty people can grieve too, and it's no reason not to held accountable for your actions.
And I don't care what a person's age is. I was taught not to respect anyone that doesn't show respect in return, no matter what the age.
And every time I think about Ron's relatives allowing the person that last saw that little child (and continually lies and changes stories) LAY UP in their house it makes me want to tear my hair out.
I am really loving this board and the people here. They are kind, tolerant and intelligent.

What Is In The Water Near Haleigh’s Home?
PALATKA -- Putnam County deputies have said very little about their draining and search of a pond near the home of Haleigh Cummings.
Dive teams had been searching the pond for more than 24 hours before officials admitted the efforts were, indeed, related to a new tip deputies received in the case of the missing 6-year-old.
Sheriff’s officials said they were draining the pond because the water was too murky, but told the media various excuses as to what they were searching for, ranging from training to looking for drugs, to recovering stolen property taken from another nearby home.
Even if they were not specifically looking for drugs, searchers did find about 100 potted marijuana plants along the water’s edge early Saturday morning.
Finally, Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy released a statement before noon Saturday that the search was, indeed, for new clues in the Haleigh Cummings case, though he dispelled rumors that they had found a body.
Deputies have received thousands of tips in the case. The details of this latest tip were not immediately revealed.
Some nearby residents told News 13 they were not optimistic searchers would find anything in the pond, because they said it was unlikely anyone could drive a vehicle to the water’s edge.
Other neighbors said they were standing ready to help in the search in any way they could.
“We’ve got bottles of water, cans and cold drinks,” one resident told News 13. “Our kitchen is preparing sandwiches and everything for them.”
Deputies did say the search was not related to the recent arrest of Hank Croslin, Jr., the brother-in-law of Haleigh Cummings’ father.
Croslin was questioned about the girl’s disappearance, but officials suggested the timing was a coincidence.

Haleigh Cummings family waits while new search begins

BoB, I noticed last night that the SO's population data wasn't being updated, but you could clearly hear on the scanner that arrests were being made and perps taken in; one was a woman since he gave the dispatcher his mileage.<< I'm going to have to name him.
ETA: There is an eight hour gap in arrests in addition to the missing booking numbers at the PCSO.

An 8 hour gap, huh? On a Saturday? There? That strikes me as unlikely, too!

Waiting for HaLeigh
Missing girl's father struggles to remain patient
Ronald Cummings has become nothing if not patient.
Agonizingly patient.
His moments turn on a small wheel, worn smooth by repetition over the 222 days since his little girl, HaLeigh, disappeared.
"I play with my son," Cummings said last week in the office of his attorney, Terry Shoemaker. "I take care of him. Whatever he needs. And pray for my daughter in the morning and at night before I go to bed."
HaLeigh Ann-Marie Cummings was 5 years old when she disappeared from her father's blue doublewide trailer in the Hermit's Cove area of Putnam County the night of Feb. 9.
"Smiling. Always smiling," Cummings said when asked to describe his missing child.
She was three feet tall and weighed 39 pounds.
"Happy -- very happy," Cummings added, as his 4-year-old son, Ronald Jr., playfully tried to distract him. "Stubborn. Very smart -- very, very intelligent."
Cummings, 25, said law enforcement officers don't want him to join search groups or go looking for his daughter on his own. But he has to help somehow, which is why he intends to keep giving interviews, such as the one last week in offices of Mowrey Shoemaker Beardsley in St. Augustine.
Father's vow
He said he's not going to respond every time someone suggests that he or his wife had something to do with HaLeigh's disappearance. But he has vowed to keep the little girl's name and picture in the public eye.
"All this stuff that's said about me on TV ... I don't try to counteract with it," Cummings said. "I'm not trying to get back on there and throw punches back at someone that threw punches with us.
"Rather than do that, we'd rather sit back and just allow HaLeigh's face to be ran across the TV over and over. If they have to rake me across the coals every day, all day, to put my daughter's face on national TV every day, then that's great.
"Whatever they want to do, as long as her face stays out there until she comes home."
The ordeal has already cost him so much, including friends, Cummings said.
"I know who my friends are," he said. "Three of my best friends are helping me. Terry Shoemaker, Dan Mowrey and Brandon Beardsley."
Last day
The last day Ronald Cummings saw his daughter was a Monday. He was working as a crane operator at PDM Bridge in Palatka.
Misty Croslin, his girlfriend at the time, was at home with HaLeigh and Ronald Jr.
The little girl with long blonde ringlets was put to bed at 8 p.m. because it was a school night, Croslin said.
She said she last saw HaLeigh around 10 p.m. and went to bed herself between 10:30 and 11.
Croslin, 17, said she woke to get a drink of water shortly before 3:30 in the morning. She saw a light on in the kitchen. A cinderblock, or brick, had been laid against the back door, propping it open, she said.
She reported the disappearance to 911 Dispatch at the Putnam County Sheriff's Office at 3:27 the morning of Feb. 10. Cummings had gotten home from work minutes before.
He can be heard yelling in the background as Croslin spoke to the dispatcher:
"I just got home from work; my 5-year-old daughter is gone. I need someone here now. ... If I find whoever has my daughter before you all do, I'm killing them."
Response
Deputies responded 13 minutes later, accompanied by a K-9 unit from the Palatka Police Department. The team scoured the area and picked up a scent. They followed it down a wooded path toward the St. Johns River and found a small footprint in the dirt.
Officers reportedly said the trail doubled back to a street in front of HaLeigh's home and looped around a nearby block. It went down another street that led to the CSX rail crossing at Buffalo Bluff Road.
That's where the dog lost the scent.
Hundreds of searchers poked for days through the pine woods and palmetto scrub. They looked from the air, on the water and scratched at the ground with walking sticks.
Investigators questioned and cleared 44 registered sex offenders who live within five miles of the home.
Every day for the past seven months, dozens of people following the case have posted their opinions on the Internet.
Hundreds of bloggers pore over every word, parse every sentence and analyze every facial expression by Cummings and his wife, who were married March 12 in a civil ceremony at his grandmother's house.
Some who post their comments on the Internet have blistered Cummings for his manner during television interviews. They said, among other criticisms, that he seemed pessimistic from the outset.
"It is discouraging," he said last week. "But I haven't lost hope at all to find my daughter alive."
Far and away, the majority use their blogs to point fingers at Cummings or his wife -- or both -- for what happened.
Polygraph
That intensified after Misty Cummings reportedly flunked a polygraph.
The family asked Tim Miller, owner of the Texas-based search and recovery group EquuSearch, to arrange for the test.
Miller was quoted as saying after the August test that she failed "miserably."
"In the first place," Shoemaker said, "you don't fail 'miserably.' You pass or fail.
"But, more important, there are a lot of people that pass that are lying, and there are a lot of people who fail that are telling the truth.
"Even in the best-case scenario, I think the only thing they say is they're 85 to 87 percent reliable."
Cummings understands there was a time when parents seldom were suspected of harming their children. Experience has hardened that collective heart.
He knows that these are different times and said this is how he can help.
He pressed on, fielding questions, appearing cautious and eager at the same time.
Frustration still came through, but it was carried on carefully chosen words.
"I think (investigators) have got tunnel vision since day one," he said. "I think (Misty Croslin Cummings) has been their primary focus instead of exploring other options."
No depth
Detectives have been conducting an almost superficial inquiry, Cummings added.
"I think there's definitely some things that they might have looked at simply. But that's it. Simply," he said. "But they never went into any depth with them, I don't believe.
"I believe that, if they did, they might find what they're looking for."
He and his new wife occasionally talk about the case, but not very often.
"Every once in a while we discuss exactly what was said at some point in time between somebody or whatever ... what somebody said on TV," said Cummings. "A lot of it's where we know it's untrue, and they're just shooting it out there."
Shoemaker said he and Cummings are "hoping to get an investigator to come in and start looking at some different areas and come in with a fresh set of ideas."
"If people start looking at the same thing over and over again, it all starts looking the same," he added.
There's not much activity in Cummings' life these days. There's even less peace.
"You can't get away from this at all," said Cummings. "Me and my son playing together is about the only 'hobby.' ... (Misty) hangs out with me, and we play with Junior together.
"We just do whatever he wants to do, basically, and have fun together. While we're waiting the arrival of his sister."

Also hope they're starting to get the heebie jeebies about LE having told them that they passed their polygraphs, now that we know the sheriff's office doesn't mind a little fabrication of their own.

Thanks for the link! These thoughts are pretty similar to what Eyes For Lies has been saying all along. And it's no surprise to me that he's still taciturn and acting the victim; anything to get the focus off the truth - that he's responsible for whatever happened to Haleigh and he is literally sleeping with the enemy. And we can just about count on our fingers the number of times Ron&Misty have spoken Haleigh's name in this seven months.

I know there's been talk that Misty wasn't home that night, that she went out to party. Has anyone asked if she might have taken Haleigh with her? If Jr was still asleep, but Haleigh woke up on her way out, so she just took her with her...to this notorious party pond? Something could easily have gone wrong out there in this scenario, and it would explain the lake link.
Could be. Yep, it could.

And she could be telling the truth, who knows, but she's still guilty because of all the LIES she's told and all the time she's cost the investigation.
Who knows...if she would just have admitted whatever.., there might have been enough of Haleigh left to bury when they found her.
I reallyyyyy pray she is still alive and well, but it sure doesn't sound like it.
I'll tell you one thing, if she was living in my home and the cops came and got her again, knowing they were draining a pond and wanted to re-interview her,...they could take her and dump her somewhere else because she wouldn't be coming back to where I live.

He should be in prison. Whatever happened to Haleigh is as much his fault as whoever did it. You don't let your child play in traffic and if you do that and someone purposely runs them over and kills them, you are as guilty as the driver.
Leaving 2 young children with an under aged druggie that just came down from a long weekend dope/hump-fest is the same thing as letting them play in traffic.

LorettaLockhorn - Ron sorta kinda almost acts like Junior is important, hey! he's his new hobby now that he doesn't have a job and his drug use is under scrutiny. But how long will that last?!
He has a reason for doing that. He sure isn't doing it because he wants to. It's called play therapy and he's been told to do it and I assume he has to comply or lose custody.
The quote below is from the mental health care worker that analyzed his words,
RC: “I play with my son,” Cummings said last week in the office of his attorney, Terry Shoemaker. “I take care of him. Whatever he needs. And pray for my daughter in the morning and at night before I go to bed.”
Mental health analysis: (RC is letting everyone know he is doing what he needs to do to help his son. Most therapists who engage with a small child like Jr would use something called “play therapy” which allows the child to safely explore his traumatic event. A therapist works OVER TIME to encourage the child to be safe enough to tell what he knows. RC wants people to know he’s meeting Jr’s needs. But is he really? He speaks in fragments when he talks about his children. Short sentences meant to convey only the smallest amount of information. But in this series of statements, he shares that he’s the one making sure Jr is okay. Given the two aspects, the clipped responses with no details, and the overburdened emphasis on RC meeting JR’s needs, I’m going with RC is actually NOT meeting Jr’s needs but because he has now been court ordered to get Jr to therapy, he’s going to make it seem as though it is his idea in the first place.
At this stage of the game, he still prefers to one-up someone else.

Sheriff's Office quiet about pond in Haleigh case
Team searches pond bottom; results could be revealed Monday
PALATKA — When Melissa Goudy learned the caravan of law enforcement vehicles that swept past Messer’s Westside Bait and Tackle late in the week were headed to a search for the still missing Haleigh Cummings, it hurt already bruised emotions, she said.
“My heart is in my feet and has been for months,” the 33-year-old clerk said.
Sunday, workers finished draining a pond on Florida 19 south of Palatka in the latest move in a seven-month search for evidence in the case of the missing Satsuma girl. The kindergartner was 5 when she was reported missing early on Feb 10.
Lt. Johnny Greenwood of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said a foot search of the pond bottom was being conducted Sunday.
He said any results from the search would be revealed today. Authorities have not said what they are looking for.
Goudy lives near the pond that was one of the larger of many in the low, wooded area on the south side of Florida 19 just south of Palatka.
“Just like all the others that live out there, I want to know what happened,” Goudy said. “There’s a lot of people in this town that want to put closure to it.”
She said she fears what will be found.
“It’s not going to be good when they find her,” she said. “They know what happened to her but they’re not saying anything because they don’t have the evidence.”
The pond search began about the time investigators interviewed Hank 'Tommy’ Croslin Jr., whose sister is now Ronald Cummings wife and was the one who reported Haleigh missing in February. At the same time, detectives also interviewed Kristina 'Nay Nay’ Prevatt, an acquaintance of Cummings' wife, Misty Croslin Cummings.
Authorities said the interviews were not related to the search.
At the U.S. Veterans Post 104 on Florida 19, post commander Jerry Schallenberg said searching the pond bottom for evidence will likely be a difficult job.
“It’s full of beer bottles and God knows what else out there,” he said.
He said the post was willing to provide food for the crews but that authorities wanted to be careful not to draw attention to the search at first.
Officers with sheriff’s offices in Putnam, Clay and St. Johns joined in the search that used pumps to remove the water and redirect it into the St. Johns River.
The national spotlight the case has drawn has also shined on the rural county.
Schallenberg’s wife, Terry Schallenberg, said that light has not always been favorable but she believes Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy has done as well as could be expected with a small department.
“Putnam County is not a bunch of yahoos,” she said.
Updates
Earlier mass speculation prompted the Sheriff's Office to provide some updates Saturday. The search is the result of one of more than 4,000 tips received. Recent information included that there is possible physical evidence in the pond.
The Sheriff's Office said the search was not prompted by the coincidental interviews with Hank Croslin Jr., a recently jailed brother of Misty Cummings, or her former acquaintance Kristina Prevatt.
On Friday, authorities with the Sheriff's Office said the search was merely a training or marijuana eradication exercise.
Saturday, they said divers were looking for possible evidence and that the pond, described by neighbors as 2 to 3 acres, was being drained to shrink the area for them.
The St. Johns County and Clay County sheriff's offices are assisting in the search.
St. Johns Sheriff David Shoar said his agency was called mid-week and asked for help from their special-operations team that includes divers and the air unit.
To improve access to the pond in the rural area off Stokes Landing Road, an access road was bulldozed into the woods off Florida 19. Neighbors said the pond is popular for fishing and accessible on a pair of narrow dirt roads. It is known locally as the L-Shaped Pond.

There was a radio call to the jail supervisor at some point last night. What goes out on the radio is different from what gets posted. Haleigh Cummings Update – BNN Radio Weighs In Sept 20 – The Wrap Up
Today’s program was illuminating. Although I talk often with our panel one on one, it is rare that we we all get to share our thoughts en-mass. It has been a busy and frustrating few days in the search for Haleigh Cummings. Friday and Saturday were two insane days for people trying to report the story.
It reached a crescendo Saturday, before you could even publish a story, the story had mysteriously changed. It all depended on who you talked to at the PCSO. The draining of the pond was just an exercise, the draining of the pond was related to the pot grow-op bust, the draining of the pond was to recover stolen vehicles. Sometimes they even threw in a few comments about maybe they would find evidence related to Haleigh Cummings disappearance. About the only consistent thread was that they did not expect to find Haleigh’s body...

Sunday, workers finished draining a pond on State Road 19 south of Palatka in the latest move in a seven-month search for evidence in the case of the missing Satsuma girl. The kindergartner was 5 when she was reported missing early on Feb 10.
Lt. Johnny Greenwood of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said a foot search of the pond bottom was being conducted Sunday.
He said any results from the search would be revealed today. Authorities have not said for what they are looking.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office sent police divers and a helicopter to Putnam County to assist in the search, said St. Johns County Sheriff's Spokesman Chuck Mulligan.
"We have been assisting them in a mutual aid request," Mulligan said.
Goudy lives near the pond that was one of the larger of many in the low, wooded area on the south side of S.R. 19 just south of Palatka.
"Just like all the others that live out there, I want to know what happened," Goudy said. "There's a lot of people in this town that want to put closure to it."
She said she fears what will be found.
"It's not going to be good when they find her," she said. "They know what happened to her but they're not saying anything because they don't have the evidence."
The pond search began about the time investigators interviewed Hank 'Tommy' Croslin Jr., whose sister is now Ronald Cummings' wife and was the one who reported HaLeigh missing in February. At the same time, detectives also interviewed Kristina 'Nay Nay' Prevatt, an acquaintance of Cummings' wife, Misty Croslin Cummings.
Authorities said the interviews were not related to the search.
At the U.S. Veterans Post 104 on Florida 19, post commander Jerry Schallenberg said searching the pond bottom for evidence will likely be a difficult job.
"It's full of beer bottles and God knows what else out there," he said.
He said the post was willing to provide food for the crews but that authorities wanted to be careful not to draw attention to the search at first.
Officers with sheriff's offices in Putnam, Clay and St. Johns counties joined in the search that used pumps to remove the water and redirect it into the St. Johns River.
The national spotlight the case has drawn has also shined on the rural county.
Schallenberg's wife, Terry Schallenberg, said that light has not always been favorable, but she believes Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy has done as well as could be expected with a small department.
"Putnam County is not a bunch of yahoos," she said.

Pond Search Potentially Significant, Turns up Empty
PUTNAM COUNTY, FL -- The Sheriff's Office confirms they drained a pond in the Mondex area, and that it was related to the search for Haleigh Cummings, but they're not saying much more than that.
Over the weekend, the Putnam County Sheriff's Department, following up one of over 4,000 leads in the search for the girl who has been missing since February, drained the "L-shaped pond" south of town.
Investigators say they found "nothing of evidentiary value," but if they had found what they were looking for, it would have been "significant." They're not saying what that was.
People living around the pond in Putnam County watched Sheriff's Office trucks and equipment go in and out of the woods around their homes.
"It's right behind us, so I can't believe it was right under our nose and we didn't know; it's really surprising," said neighbor Tiffany Dunham on Sunday.
Dunham and Clifford Tenant live at one of the narrow dirt roads leading to the pond and say Sunday was probably the busiest day so far with trucks driving past and manpower going in.
"We heard a bunch of different rumors, a bunch of different things. We heard they were looking for a stolen car to begin with, we heard they found Haleigh, found a bunch of marijuana plants, but you don't really know what the truth is because no one will tell you," says Tenant.
Teams of searchers were at the pond Sunday, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, looking for physical evidence connected to the Haleigh Cummings case.
As far as what that evidence is, no one is saying.
But it was much easier for searchers now with the pond completely drained.
By Sunday night the searching was wrapped up.
In neighborhoods around the pond rumors have been circulating all weekend, but most hope whatever was happening was helpful.
"I hope they find something that gets them closer to finding her," says Dunham.

PCSO Release Info on Haleigh Search at L Pond
TJ Hart
Sunday, workers finished draining a pond on Florida 19 south of Palatka in the latest move in a seven-month search for evidence in the case of the missing Satsuma girl. Haleigh Cummings was 5 when she was reported missing early on Feb 10.
Highlights from the weekend search
Search of the L pond in the Mondex began last week
Deputies/Detectives and others at PCSO told locals the activity at the pond was 1) a training exercise 2) search for stolen property (atv’s) 3) evidence in a drug case
Maj. Gary Bowling late Friday told the Palatka Daily News that the search was being conducted for evidence in the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings
False rumors spread like wildfire: 1) a submerged car had been found with skeletal remains of a small child inside 2) a car was taken from the pond on a flatbed truck 3) Nay Nay Prevatt had told officers that the “car” belonged to Greg Page 4) Misty had shot herself ...each rumor was debunked by PCSO Monday morning.
PCSO says no body and no car was found in the pond.
Hardy issued statement Saturday to quell rumors regarding misleading information blaming internet stories for there origins...

URGENT Haleigh Update: Hank Croslin Jr Talks, No One Home at 10pm Hour Night Child Was Abducted?
Putnam County authorities told 97.3 The SKY Monday that Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr admitted to PCSO detectives that when he checked on the house where missing Haleigh Cummings of Satsuma was last seen the night she vanished, no one appeared to be home.
As WSKY was trying to get additional information on the weekend search at a pond for evidence of Haleigh Cummings, Captain Dominic Piscetello with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office told us that while being questioned last week Hank Croslin Jr gave up the this new information.
Croslin stated during questioning that Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, had called him from his work and asked him to check on Misty since he had not been able to contact her by phone the night Haleigh disappeared. Tommy told PSCO detectives that he went down to Ron’s trailer in the 10pm hour, knocked on the door and got no answer.
Croslin Jr also told detectives that all the lights were out and that no tv’s or radios were seen or heard inside the trailer. It was quiet.
Ironically, all the family members involved were given this information by law enforcement and each appeared to choose not to mention this information in any of their statements this weekend.

Haleigh Cummings Update – Misty Was Questioned Over The Weekend
This is a subject that has been mentioned on several news sites, we can now confirm this as fact. Haleigh Cummings step mom was taken in for questioning over the last weekend. I think the quote from Maj, Gary Bowling of the PCSO sums it up in a nutshell:
PCSO did question Misty over the weekend – no information of any value came of it
Just how much longer can Misty Croslin-Cummings keep quiet? For months there have been rumblings about Misty and the likelihood that she was not at home that night. This theory certainly gains credibility after the bombshell (sorry Nancy I used your phrase) revelation that Tommy Croslin has stated that he went to the trailer on the evening of Haleigh’s disappearance around 10pm and could arouse no one, no lights were on, no TV’s or radios playing, nothing. The reason for his visit was the result of a phone call from Ronald Cummings who at that time was at work, he was concerned about Misty as he had been unable to reach her via phone...

"Tommy are you telling the truth?"
Good question! It's hard for me to believe that even a sumb!tch like Ron Cummings not knowing where his children are wouldn't send Tommy in even if he had to break the door down, or take off work and check on Haleigh and Junior himself, or send LE to do a welfare check. You know, what with all the pervs living nearby. And then when he did get off work, he didn't come straight home. HUH? WTF
And GGMS complains because LE doesn't tell them anything.

I just heard this on HLN Prime News. I do hope Tommy is telling the truth, that would open up a whole new can of worms. And if Tommy knows it, it's likely Ron has known all along.
IF it's true, and that's a big "if", we will see if that 'family' has any common decency at all. Who would give safe harbor to the person that was left in charge of 2 small children, and left them all alone in a nest of registered sex offenders? And it would be just as bad if she left them alone in the middle of a church. At the very least the powers that be should remove Jr. from Ron's custody like right NOW.
Chain of responsibility:
*Ron is daddy, has sole custody, is solely responsible for 2 small children.
*Ron is also responsible for leaving the children with a responsible (adult) person when he is not with them.
*This means RON is responsible for Haleigh being taken and whatever happens/happened to her, therefore he should NOT be allowed access to Jr. without supervision. And by supervision I don't mean a member of his clan.
But then these folks weren't exactly taught right from wrong, and lie like rugs whenever the mood strikes them. So who knows if Tommy is lying. Misty sure isn't going to admit she left them and, I don't see how they will ever find out for sure, unless someone reputable saw her in another place, which isn't likely.

You really have to wonder if Lindsey and the other Croslins didn't know this to be true. (Not that any of them are very credible.) And you really have to wonder if Misty is the one who drove and scratched Chelsea's van.
Whoever Misty was partying with needs to grow a pair and tell LE where Misty was and whether or not Junior and Haleigh were with her and if they were awake or possibly dosed with benedryl.

Exclusive: Misty Cummings Brother Reveals He Was At Trailer!
...When Tommy (aka Hank Jr) says he stopped by after 10 p.m., at Ronald’s request, “he stops short of saying no one was home,” says Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy Maj. Gary Bowling in an interview with The Bald Truth, “but he did say, ‘there were no lights on. It was quiet, so I banged on the door and looked in the window and saw no (activity).’
“There’s double pane glass on the door, so you should be able to see any lights, even one coming from the TV in the living room.”
But Misty insists she WAS home, just didn’t’ hear Tommy knocking. “Misty was made aware of (Tommy’s) statement, that he banged on the door and she didn’t answer” when she met with investigators Saturday night at the PCSD office, her lawyer, Robert Fields, tells The Bald Truth. “She said, she’d heard what Tommy said, that all he did was knock on the door, but she didn’t hear him. She might have been asleep.”
Detectives have called Misty the key to unraveling what happened to the missing child she was babysitting before reporting Haleigh missing at 3:27 a.m. Feb. 10. and believe she knows more than she’s shared.
Investigators confirm she did not answer then boyfriend Ronald’s calls until after 3 a.m., after a fight they had on the phone at 8:30 p.m. when he called her from work over seven hours earlier.
But Tommy Croslin’s new information suggests either she was a heavy sleeper, or not at the trailer where she said she put the kids to bed at 8 p.m. after she let them each watch a different movie, Junior in the living room, and Haleigh in the bedroom, then crashed herself about 10 p.m.
Is Misty’s lawyer concerned her brother’s information further damages his client’s credibilty? “Misty’s not concerned, so I’m not concerned,” Fields told me.
What does concern him, though, is the fact she spoke with detectives without him present Saturday night, The Bald Truth has learned. “They know she has a lawyer, so that bothers me.”
“She voluntarily wanted to talk,” Maj. Bowling told me, declining to reveal the subjects discussed, but adding it was “pretty useless” in shedding light on their search for what happened to Haliegh. “We can’t be held responsible if a lawyer doesn’t have control of his client. She’s obviously not listening to what he’s telling her.”
One source close to Misty tells me she’s telling friends police wanted to discuss phone records related to her conflicting timeline, and urged her to go into protective custody. But one source close to the case doubts she was offered protective custody.

Ya know if this was anyone else other than a Croslin, I might totally buy the story, like if it was Teresa or even a neighbor, but seeing as this little creep is being held on $50,000 bail, pretty damm high for a simple weapons charge, that he is gonna try anything he can to get his ass out of jail, so I do question the validity of this?? Now, if this is indeed true, this just blew up every crap story Misty has been spinning for the last seven months. I am just arm chairing here, but what if she killed Haleigh earlier than we thought? If he is to be believed, she could have been gone from the home at 10 pm, trying to find a place to put Haleigh's body, like maybe Nay helping her?? And she left Jr alone and some kids can sleep through a tornado and this poor child had to probably sleep through partying, because you know this type will do anything in front of kids, they only think of themselves. With all my god kids, we never whooped it right up without their parents finding a baby sitter because kids don't need to see or hear what we would do.
Now if it was just a party or a bbq all the kdis would be there because we wanted them there as we in the summer went out on the boats and we would moor up and have a picnic, but if we were gonna go to Monkey's Island (a popular camping spot for adults on the CT River) no kids came with us. I want to believe Tommy, because it would surely solidify the case against Misty and also, CPS would have every right to step in and remove Jr from Ron's custody and right now, I am thinking, someone needs to think of this poor child. His big sissy who he adored has been gone for seven long months and he is confused, he can't understand why Haliegh has not come home and what do you sll think Ron has told him?? And I still do not buy the love story between honey pie and Haleigh and even tonight Teresa on NG, is still in deep denial about Misty, she still thinks she hung the moon so it goes to show you just how ignorant she is and I could not believe she actually knows what the word validity???
She must be hitting a dictionary up or something, trying to make herself sound smart, when all she is, is pure D white trash??? Now LE ought to make Tommy take a LDT and see if he passes it, if he does, it is all over for Misty, but I still am thinking he might just be lying through his own tooth to get the get out jail free card because he can't cough up the bail money, I mean this whole family would sell each other out in a heartbeat, even her own mama is now saying she does not believe her daughter? The other brother and sister in law are now trying to distance themselves from Misty and I don't just mean moving to the Cape. So I pray that if LE thinks this might be the truth, then they need to make him take a polygraph and prove it.
Thank you Loretta, you made my day and thanks for giving me the most hunkiest man on the planet, damm it is a shame he is gay, can you think of the women that would want him? Hell, Jennifer Anniston would snap him right up!! But I will take gay, he can invite me to his ocean house and we can boogie over to Ina's and I can drool watching him be manly and fire up the grill and I would pour him his wine and cut up his meat for him, just to bask in his maleness!!! I wonder if he ever had a woman??? The guy Mark that I have posted about, he has never slept with a woman and probably never will. He knew at a young age he was gay and never hung out in the closet, he came clean to his family and while his Dad was not thrilled, he had the type of parents that just wanted their kids happy and if a man made him happy, so be it? I remember his Mom saying she wished he could have given her grandchildren and I reminded her that someday, he might, like adopt a child? And she felt better about things and she is a really sweet woman and would be an awesome Granny, but as of last year, he and his husband have not chosen to be parents, he is an artist and his husband is a an attorney and they have a lovely house on lake and dogs, cats, birds, and horses.
As for school, it is going kinda OK, I feel kinda dumb in that math class and I was so caught up buying my car and other things, I have not gone to tutoring like I should have and I fear I might have to do the class over as I am not getting this, but I don't feel bad because I am not the only one!!! English comes easy to me, so I am confident I will pass that course.

Since they don't give up info voluntarily--wonder if Tommy happened to have checked around back while he was @ it, and was the back door(s) propped open then? Did he knock on the door in case his little sister was asleep? And, if he did, wouldn't that have awakened Jr (if Misti and Haleigh weren't there?) or, if Misti was taking Haleigh somewhere, would she have taken Jr with them? Nah--if Jr could talk about the bouncing couch and the squeaky floor, I'm sure if he had gone anywhere that night, he would have talked about that at some point.
So, all the family (I am assuming Croslin, wonder if Cummings, too?) were aware of that? Are they claiming that Misti and the kids must have been asleep for the night? I'd really, really like to know if Tommy tried to get Misti to answer the door. Wonder what he told Ron? "Hey, bud, lights out, they must be asleep?"

Bolding mine.
OR maybe had partaken of some more of whatever is the drug of choice, and was too "mellow" to recognize there was knocking on the door. OR, her long weekend caught up w/her and she was dead asleep (as opposed to routinely being a heavy sleeper.)
So, wonder if Misti is feeling a tad bit scared, and even if she was not offered protective custody, is maybe hoping she can get it? And, if she wasn't offered, why would she bring it up. Protect her from whom? The public? Or perhaps those in the same home she is now staying? Hmmmm.

I have my doubts that Tommy even knows what the word truth means, and neither does his sister.
Today I had time to really sit down and think about this case. I'm one of those people that's usually doing at least three things at the same time.
I came to one conclusion, something I know to be a truth, because there is no other way to explain it.
Misty knows something on Ron. Probably more than one something, but she at least knows one major thing that could cause him big time trouble or make him look really bad, or possibly lose custody of Jr. I am pretty sure it involves Haleigh in some way. I'm not saying it involves him in the disappearance, although that could be it.
I saw granny TN on NG tonight and I saw it all over her face. She knows full well that if Misty is accused of as much as leaving Haleigh and Jr. alone, she will squeal on Ron..for something. She is protecting her 'baby' (blech). Why else would she defend Misty? There's no other excuse for her behavior.
And I don't think for a second she is doing it for the sole reason she thinks Tommy is lying, because that makes no sense. If it was based only on what Tommy said, I could understand her not believing.
Here is what she already knows to be fact:
-Misty flunked the tests she was given (although I can understand her not believing in their credibility, so let that one pass.
-Ron changed several aspects of his story, several times.
-Misty changed her story several times.
-Misty and Ron were fighting and Misty turned her phone off from 10 AM -3 PM or so (and claims she couldn't get reception, and those are mighty convenient hours if in fact that was true).
-Miisty was partying the weekend before (she mentioned that weekend tonight when NG cornered her).
-Ron said his and Misty's bed was made and hadn't been slept in.
-Misty said she washed Haleigh's blanket, Ron said they had no detergent.
These are just off the top of my head, I could do research and easily find more and so probably could some of you.
So if you were a parent or grandparent and knew all these things..would you let the girl stay in your house and/or defend her to the media?
What would make you do that? Because you knew the girl could bring your precious son down with her? The son you have spent his entire life enabling to be a thug?
We all know at least one set of grandparents who will sweep their grandaughter under the rug and turn their backs on her if it means saving the child they have enabled. Yet they are still able to weep and lament in public.
I believe this is another case of exactly that. And I believe that could possibly be the key to solving what happened the night Haleigh went missing.

Hmmmm.
And Amy wasn't she pointing fingers at her brothers about the time she flunked the lie detectors and was hypnotized??? If so is this payback?

Looks like LE denies that, but have we ever seen a case full of more lies? Don't have a problem with investigators lying to POIs and suspects and all the folks who don't give a rat's arse about Haleigh, but I think they lie to us too.
Oh well.

Why else would defend Misty?
So if you were a parent or grandparent and knew all these things..would you let the girl stay in your house and defend her to the media?

i was just thinking, i have to go think, b/c i am doing too many things to count , at the same time...i have not had time, since i just watched NG at 8 & for the 1st time ever, something was a bombshell,to me.
i don't know why i am accepting what timmy said, probably b/c i have thought everything out of misty's mouth was a lie, since day2, but everyone is a criminal & telling lies would not be suprising, for someone who was just arrested for stealing a gun, from that poor man, the way he did.

Tommy could be telling the truth, finally, especially since he's cornered. Who knows? Good luck sorting it all out Errin.
All I know is that something is wrong in this situation, something is rotten in Denmark, something is wrong with this picture, etc. And whatever that something is has impeded the investigation into finding a missing and possibly dead child.
If she isn't dead, then where is she? Surely someone somewhere would have seen her...she has several very distinguishing features/marks. Plus there is now a substantial reward. Not to mention the fact that she has formidable health issues (Turner's syndrome) that would have definitely had to be dealt with by now in a local ER or doctor's office.
There has been one so called 'sighting' that wasn't even reported to LE. Instead it was reported to the media. Who else would do that except someone trying to cover their butt(s)?
And that video makes me want to barf. Shame on them, all of them.
How stupid would a person have to be to actually defend the person that lost the child, and expect people not to wonder what they are hiding?
I still believe if LE can discover why they are protecting Misty, it will lead them straight to the answer. And what else can it be besides something to do with Ron? It sure as heck isn't Misty's strength of character or because they are charmed by her beauty or glowing personality.
I've seen it a hundred times, moms and/or dads defending/enabling grown kids that shouldn't be allowed the right to walk this planet and breathe, much less be sheltered.
I don't care if momma's boy does have her name tattooed over his heart (or his whatever), the day Haleigh was born ole' Ronnie boy stopped being her priority.

Misty Cummings' brother: No one came to door night of Haleigh's disappearance
Ronald Cummings called Hank Croslin Jr. to check on her
The jailed brother of Haleigh Cummings' stepmother said no one appeared to be home when he went by to find his sister hours before 5-year-old Haleigh disappeared.
Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr. told detectives Thursday that he was called by Haleigh's father Ronald Cummings to find 17-year-old Misty Croslin and went to the Satsuma mobile home about 9:45 p.m. Feb. 9 to see her.
"He told us he banged on the door," said Maj. Gary Bowling of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. "He said it was dark and no lights were on."
Bowling said detectives were told no one came to the door.
Teresa Neves, who is Ronald Cummings' mother, said her son told her he spoke with Hank Croslin that night but did not tell him to go to the mobile home.
"He did not ask Tommy to go check on Misty," she said.
Bowling said it is the first time anyone has said they were at the mobile home after Cummings' grandmother Annette Sykes left about 7:30 p.m.
"It is surprising that someone would hold that information," he said.
Croslin has been jailed since mid-September on a grand theft charge. He is accused of stealing a handgun from a former neighbor of his parents.
Croslin's sister, now Misty Cummings, has repeatedly said she was at home with Haleigh and Ronald Cummings Jr., who was 3 at the time, and was washing a blanket about 10 p.m.
Bowling said Hank Croslin said he was called by Ronald Cummings, who was at work and said he could not get in touch with Misty. Hank Croslin, who lived down the street from Cummings, was asked to check the residence.
Bowling said detectives talked with Misty over the weekend but would not say what was discussed. He said investigators are attempting to corroborate what Croslin said.
"If he's telling the truth it means a lot," Bowling said. "We took it for what it is worth."
Robert Fields, Misty Cummings attorney, said she maintains that she was home.
"She told me yesterday she was definitely there," he said this morning.
He said his client may have been asleep and that the time Hank Croslin said he was there may be wrong.
"Trying to nail a time line down is one of those greasy pig issues," he said.

LE has surely nailed down the time of the phone call that RC made to Tommy (although that's no guarantee that Tommy immediately went to the trailer if at all), but if Misty is going to stick to her story that she did detergent-less laundry and didn't go to bed until 10:30, that seems like a pretty big deal.
Kinda OT: I've always wondered how it is that Misty went to bed at 10:30 and claims that she last saw Haleigh at about 10pm. How could she miss her in the same room? Last night on Prime News, Mike Galanos, Mike Brooks and TJ Hart kinda tore her a new one over some of her ridiculous statements, like looking under the beds.

Haleigh Cummings – How Many Croslin’s Can You Fit Under A Bus?

Early this morning I read on AH's site that Ron tossed Misty out along with her clothes, then chased her down and begged her back.
Now they are saying Misty has gone to the beach with a gf for a few days "to clear her head".
It's being reported on NG's Facebook too.
Clear her head? LOL. I'll be nice and not go there.
Also Ron told his attorney (weeks ago) and his attorney told the media that Ron did ask Tommy to check on Misty that night. TN was lying through her teeth (again).
TN also told Miz Nancy (last night) that poor little Misty was exhausted from lack of sleep and passed out at 10 PM and didn't hear Tommy knocking. But..Misty said several times she and Ron slept (off and on) until noon that morning.

Misty and Ron had a fight.
She left the kids.
Ron couldn't contact her so he sent Tommy to check on her.
He went inside, got carried away (probably sexually) and did God knows what to Haleigh and had to do away with her.
He propped the door open and carried her out.
This probably isn't what happened, but it's the only scenario I've been able to put together so far. I've always known Misty probably left the kids alone.
Maybe Tommy hated Ron so much he decided to slap Haleigh around a little bit and got carried away. Or maybe he did it to get Misty in trouble for leaving them alone.

...Misty is the type that if you ask her a question that she doesn’t want to answer, she reminds us she has a lawyer, said Bowling.
Action News spoke with Misty’s lawyer on Tuesday. Robert Fields tells us Misty is out of town and will be for the next few days. He says Misty is sticking to her story that she was home the night Haleigh disappeared. He also says he believes the story Hank Jr. is telling deputies is not true. Fields says as soon as the Sheriffs Office contacts him to do a formal interview with Misty, he will be glad to consider it.
We’ve said for some time now, quite unapologetically, that we think that Misty has some information that she needs to tell us, and its information like this just like this that she needs to clarify so we can understand better what she was doing that evening. If Misty, who is represented by attorney Robert Fields, if they want to come down here, we would love to ask her some questions specifically and narrowly about that evening, said Major Bowling.
Major Bowling also talked about Misty’s cell phone. Action News asked him if he could use GPS technology to track down exactly where Misty was the night Haleigh disappeared. Major Bowling wouldn’t go into details, but says they are investigating those facts.
There are some things we can do with electronics, and there were some problems with the electronics…that’s about as far as I can go into that…there’s some things were still working on trying to get cleared up in regards to electronic intelligence, said Major Bowling.
Action News asked the Putnam County Sheriffs Office about possible charges it might file against Misty if it turns out that she was lying about where she was the night Haleigh disappeared. The Sheriffs Office said it wasn’t at that point yet.
We haven’t arrived at a place that will allow us to articulate probable cause for arrest yet…the issue is that---we have a lot of little things, but really coming to the point where we can in good faith go to a judge and seek a warrant or simply make a probably cause arrest, were simply not there, said Major Bowling.

So if A) nobody was home...then are we to assume that Misty was out and the kids were asleep and didn't wake up to see who was at the door? Or that they were with Misty taking Haleigh to whereever she ended up to be. Wouldn't Ron, Jr. remember the trip? It's hard to know exactly where the disconnect is. Misty was supposedly wide awake doing laundry, but if Tommy only went to the front door, he wouldn't have necessarily heard the machines. If the kids were home with or without Misty, they should have heard banging on the door, and you wonder if Tommy could see inside. Supposedly in story #2A Part XXII or whatever, Junior was in the front room watching a video.
It just all makes me think that if Misty was out and about, that the kids were with her, benedryled or whatever, and Misty propped the door open to bring Junior back inside while Haleigh might have succumbed to being ODed. Insert Putnam Putz here >>

Is tommy her brother, half brother or step brother? There is a big difference when it comes to the "bouncing couch."
One of the article referred to one of the boys as a half or step, but can't remember which article, which brother or which modifier.

I thought Ron just called Tommy looking for Misty. I do not think he asked him to check on her. Ron had called Misty many times after they had an argument about her babysitting someone else's kids. And I think leaving town on Misty's part is because she may be scared of the pond searches for some reason. IMO

Miss Nancy is running with "nobody home" and that Ron called at least twenty times, phone records confirm and LE is using GPS to track Misty's whereabouts that night. Misty has skipped town according to Art Harris.
Aside: Wonder who does Misty's eyebrows.

I am beginning to think that ron had nothing to do with this. Not that he is a saint, he is far from that. Not that he should still have Jr. Nothing could be further from my thoughts. It is just I think that Haliegh saw something on the couch and knew what was going on, in her own way. At least she knew it was not right. Now, that something could have been tommy or who knows who. I think that is why she is gone. Maybe the "procupine" didn't do it but she probably saw it and of course knows who did.

If what Hankie says is true and Ron didn't drive straight home from work, or have his mother or GGM drive down to check on everyone, then I can't clear him in my mind. Those cellphone pings may be able to help us figure out whether or not Tommy is telling the truth.
ETA: It matters whether or not Tommy called Ron back to report either no one home or the house is quiet when it comes to Ron's behavior.

And particularly the way that we think this will advance it is that Misty’s family now knows about this information that I’m telling you now about Hank. We hope that the family or maybe Misty by her own conscience, if there is a discrepancy, that if she was indeed not home or she wants to explain why Hank banged on the door, with no response we want to hear Misty’s side of that,” said Major Bowling...

I think old honey pie is starting to figure out that those walls are about to close in on her so what does she do? Takes a powder and if she did not want people to think of her as the suspect, she blew that theory out of the water as it looks very suspcious that now, after her own brother comes forward and advises that he went to the house that night and found no one at home, the house was completely dark??? I am wondering if LE is getting ready to pounce on her and according to Art, she and Ron had a major blow up over the weekend, whereas he allegedly threw her and her clothes out the door, but then went and begged her to come back??? I am sure that the arguement had to been about Haleigh?? Now they drained a pond and found nothing, but what if they are close to an area that Haleigh is buried?? And that is why honey pie is in the wind?? I think she knows that the end is near and a shrink pointed out on NG, that her body language speaks of guilt, her lip licking, her nervous eyes, her constant cigarette smoking and the bombshell of them all, she trying to muster up tears on national TV, she is crying, but it seems forced???
Kinda like Susan Smith, she too, tried to come off as being totally distraught, and while she cried on cue, no tears came out of her eyes and look what she did to her kids?? Now honey pie, is even more stupid than I gave her credit for, if you have nothing to hide, why split now??? And her brother clearly for whatever reason, threw her under the bus as did the rest of her family in one way or another and if I were to believe him, I would have him take a LDT and if he passes, at the very least, arrest that dumb twit for child neglect. Now we all figured early on, that she was not home all night and maybe cell phone records are about to be made public that will indicate that she wasn't and will the pinging prove where she was, Art pointed out that in their area, there are two towers and in and around where Ron worked, there are three so if he indeed tried to reach her all night, his records should reflect that. Now if she was smart enough to shut off her phone as that has been offered up, then without GPS, it would be hard for LE to track her as far as her physical being, but her records should indicate all out and in going calls??
And this is what has prompted her to take flight??? Now, she does have the right to do so, she is not named as a suspect formally, but I am sure Putnam wants her right back in Satsuma and maybe now they will name her and go after her, this just might be her true downfall. Usually when people do this, they are as guilty as homemade sin and I am even more positive that Haleigh is no longer living, because as a doctor just pointed out, that she had to be on meds on a daily basis and without them, a simple cold could kill her as Turner's can cause infections especially lung infections so if on the slim chance she was alive, who has been providing her meds?? Right there, this has told me that she is dead and likely died that night. Now even moreso, makes me want CPS to remove Jr from his custody, he does not need to see this skank in handcuffs going out the door, that would surely traumatize the little guy and Lord knows he has had his share of heartbreak and does not understand why sissy is not been found and my heart breaks for him and Crystal.
Now if she can prove to the court that she can care for him, I am all for her getting custody, I don't want this poor child to end up in foster care, that would send him over the edge, he needs to be with his mama and not that POS stepmonster!!! I do hope that they soon, name her as I want her behind bars as she is just as guilty as Casey. Now the difference between them is that one of them is a stone cold killer who killed her child out of spite and the other just wanted the kid gone because she is jealous and wanted all of her man's attention. Now we all know that Haleigh was Daddy's girl, how was Jr treated by skank?? If the neighbor who overheard her slap him at the bus stop and used foul language towards the child, then we know she wasn't thrilled with either one of them, but Haleigh was more animated and probably a little more spoiled due to her illness and probably spoke her mind and Jr seems to be a quiet calm child what little we have seen of him. So do you all think that she just threw herself under the bus???

Wind, one of the THs on NG said that LE should go after Misty and bring her back, but I'm thinking they've got eyes on her even as we speak. Kinda wondering where she got the $$ to leave town; we have to assume it didn't come from Ron since he plead poverty when in court on the felong assault charges. Is she using her phone? Wouldn't surprise me considering how many criminals don't realize that a phone is a tracking device. Suppose it's possible that she's using the pre-paid phone that Tim Miller provided her.
Haven't read Art's story yet, but from what he told Miss Nancy, this fight went down during the pond search, yet yesterday we saw footage of them acting blissfully in love despite everything that has happened since he made the mistake of leaving Haleigh in her care. Or did he? Still can't shake the thought that Haleigh wasn't home after he went to work.
If only LE would charge Misty with something so that the Sunshine Law would go into effect! I'm thinking that may be why she hasn't been arrested. Yet.
Hope you enjoyed "Tiara"! (And people should just quit saying I'm selfish!!) Just imagine that someday you and I could end up meeting in Ina's new barn if our fantasies ever come true.

You know, I have always wondered about this. Where do these people get money, how the heck do they live?
I've been a victim of a violent crime (twice). The first almost destroyed me. The crime made national news, they begged me to tell my story on several talk shows. I declined because I was such a mess my eyes were swollen shut from crying.
I had several book deals presented to me. I didn't give a damn about writing a book because I was in such intense emotional pain (that lasted years) I could barely function. I was allowed 3 days off of work for the funeral (without pay). Then I went back and continued working for 2 years until all the puking and crying and trying to holding it together enough to be able to do my job sent me to the hospital for a month.
When I got out I went back to work. I never made a cent from any of it, I worked my butt off and supported myself just as I've done since I was 17 years old.
Since when does losing a loved one make you a person of privilege who no longer needs to work?

I don't see Misty as a child either, and didn't even when she was 16.
It isn't about her age in years that bothers me, but the fact that she was living with a much older man (if you can call him that) and the entire thing was illegal to begin with.
And one of the things that blew me away was on one of the news reports. Her mom said something about signing for Misty to marry. It was something like..I know she's too young but decided to let her marry him.
"Let her marry him"? LOL. She let her live with him with no problem, then makes the supreme sacrifice of letting her marry him.
