Exclusive: Haleigh Cummings–Nay Nay Out of Jail!

The Bald Truth has learned just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, Christina Prevatt, aka Nay Nay, 18, ex- party girl chauffeur for Haleigh Cummings’ stepmother, Misty, was bonded out of the Putnam County Jail, again, on her original cocaine possession charges.

Only this time, it wasn’t bounty hunter Williams Staubs, aka Cobra, but Chuck’s Bail Bonds, according to attorney Kim Picazio, who has been trying to help the suicidal teenager struggling with drug addiction enroll in a rehab program.

She told The Bald Truth that she spoke to the Palatka, Florida outfit that took the gamble on Nay Nay, fresh off suicide watch, and says they declined to tell her who had put up the money for the bit player in the Haleigh Cummings mystery to go free, and likely go wild.

Her last get out of jail free card came from Staubs. Just before Cobra bonded her out Monday morning, task force detectives with the Putnam County Sheriff’s task force on the missing five year old, tell me they were interviewing Prevatt in jail, but learned nothing new.

Detectives hit her up again for information after Cobra put her back behind bars Tuesday for violating terms of her bond, but police sources say nothing new came up.

It was Prevatt who drove Misty on her weekend break with White Boy Greg Page, returning the day before Misty would report Haleigh missing.

“She’s been very cooperative with us,” Lt. Johnny Greenwood, the sheriff’s spokesman told me today. “She’s not a suspect or a person of interest, as some have wrongly reported, just someone who might know someone who knows something.”

Cobra tells me he’d bonded out Prevatt to cruise the Satsuma underbelly, along with Brooks, poking their heads into crack houses to see if they recognized anyone who might jog their memories and shake loose any information. Then he learned she’d tried to snatch her own child from temporary custody of her ex, and was threatening to kill herself, and put her back behind bars, this time on suicide watch.

Sources tell me a doctor ruled she was no longer a danger to herself, so could not be held under the mandatory 72 hour lockdown regulations.

Then Cobra got word Wednesday night, she was back on the street, and headed for the parking lot behind the Palatka Huddle House, where he says he found Prevatt standing by her new main man, a local ex-con named Jerome, out on his own $31,000 bond, records show, courtesy of, you guessed it, Chuck’s Bail Bonds.

“She didn’t look so good,” Cobra told me, who had lead the girl back to jail in tears and handcuffs a day earlier. “In fact, she looked so bad, she looked homesick for jail.”

With tensions mounting as he confronted Jerome, Cobra said he was glad he’d ordered his passengers to wear bullet proof vests; he shoved two pistols in his belt, ready for anything.

Later, I called Jerome. He picked up his cell phone. I asked to speak with Nay Nay.
“You the man who owes her money?” he asked.

“I don’t think so. Why, you think I owe her?”

“I think you owe me money,” he laughed. “Like five million dollars.”

I decided to ask how much he charged for the ladies. Cobra said he was bragging about having Nay Nay and Amber back under his roof.

“Who told you I do that?” he asked.

“That’s the word, Jerome,” I said.

i hate to bring this up with jerome, who had what 31000$ bond ? for drugs, but he is #5 on my list for driving , w/o a license....he's in his late 30's...maybe he has one & it's suspended, but i assume misty,never got one & doesn't really know how to drive..that's what i have been picturing..idiots driving with no sense & no ins., on drugs...

JVM is giving quite a bit of time to Haleigh's disappearance tonight. Her EXcellent panel seems to be in agreement with LE that this is not a stranger or SO abduction, but that the one unifying element tying all the players together is drugs, and that Haleigh may have been taken for revenge or in lieu ofa drug debt.

Still have a hard time believing that any of these fidiots could keep her to be returned alive and well after eighty days and don't get why LE is pussyfooting around with the likes of Ron&Misty.

Oh, they came back to the story, and there is some criticism of the fact that LE doesn't seem to be following up on the supposed eyewitnesses to Misty having been out of the house that night. Lawsy They have a flow chart.

Probably a dumb question. But why was Haleigh taken instead of Junior? Anyone have any ideas? Wouldn't she be more of a risk (to keep alive) with her health issues in case the drug ransom is paid? Or is it because of Haleigh's frailties that the kidnappers thought Cummings would fold more quickly and pay his debt?

This was probably on either Nancy Grace or Jane Velez Mitchell, HLN, that Misti phoned Ron at work about a problem getting Haleigh to settle down. Ron at first said "Whip her", more than once, and then just before hanging up he told her "Or put in a movie for her."

I'm also thinking Misti and Haleigh may not have been all that compatible.

Where is the little boy now, still with his grandmother? And they've discovered another child, Ron asked for and only kept one night (?) before returning him to a woman who has custody of him.

Someone here will hopefully remember what his defect is and how old he is. About a year?

The last one is a bit much, but you could get a reaction out of somebody quick! I went on art harris and read comments from other people and I of course had to share 50 cents!!! And those comments, a lot of people think their lifestyle and drugs are linking this trash to each other, but I just don't think they ever knew any high level drug dealers, they are small fish in a huge pond and guys like that, do not bother kidnapping children to repay a drug debt, they just have you beaten up or worse, a child would be a liability they don't need. After transcribing thousands of tapes to have ready for trial, I got so I could tell just by their voices, people were lying like rugs. Their voice pitch would go up octaves and the angry outbursts screaming their denials and I just knew that they were not telling the truth or the whole story and 9 times out of ten I was right, it is just a feeling you get after preparing tapes, ask any dispatcher that transcribes and they will tell you the same. I am glad they think it is not a stranger abduction, and how did they reach this conclusion and if so, why not tell the public?? Curtis Sliwa said something that stuck out, he thinks LE wants to arrest Misti, but they just don't have enough to go on at this point, no body is probably why she is still walking free and if Haleigh is dead, I want to see her found and she can get a proper burial instead of probably laying in a ditch somewhere or buried in a swamp, I can't imagine any of my godkids lying like that, maggots eating them away, sickening to think this, but we all know why the maggots were present in Casey's car.

Hey Drew!! All right, you are among the employed again and they need to be glad they have you!!! How is your mom doing? I hope she is well, it is a hard adjustment I am sure, after being married for so long, when a spouse passes away, a lot of the time, the other does not adapt well without him or her. My grandmother was lost when Grandpa died. He had paid all the bills, she had never learned to drive, he had done the yard work and taken her to all her doctors and stores because she loved to shop and when he died at age 90, they had been married for 65 years!!! She went to hell shortly afterward, my mother and I had gone down there and made arrangements for a CPA to pay her bills and we hired a yard crew and she had friends that would take her places and we hired a housekeeper who turned out to be a complete rip off artist, she was embezzled money from her, by asking her to sign a check so she could go food shopping and Grandma trusting her would give her a signed blank check and before the CPA could catch her she had stolen over $12,000! She went to jail pronto!!! She also stole family heirlooms that we never did see again and sold all of Grandpa's tools and other items that were to go to my brother and she took my favorites thing that Grandma always said would be mine, which were her glass dresser mirror and her collection of crystal perfume bottles and her silver brush and comb set which I used to use when we played dress-up together, this broke my heart. After that, we had a nurse coming in from a good agency and Grandma lived to be 93, but she was lost without Grandpa and when her mind went I was glad she went to be with him, She ironically died on what would have been their 67th wedding aniversary. The hospital called me and told he she had passed and said the last thing she said was, she was coming Johnny, she was coming to be with him. So it was a peaceful death, she did not suffer, her body just gave out on her.


With that said, anyone here checking out art harris and the comments people are making on his site?? People are really hating Misti, even people that apparently live in Satsuma?? Most think like we do, that these losers are druggies and lousy parents and today, everyone seem to be on Misti's ass, and also Chad? Some say Chad snuck in there and grabbed Haleigh? Only one question. If that was true, why did he not take Jr??? No, I think Misti has murdered this child and I don't know why Putnam is dragging their ass?? What are they waiting for? I barked when Misti's Dad accuses Ron of trying to poison him by giving him pills allegedly for pain? I get a legal script for mine, I don't have to hit up friends for pills, I am going out on a limb here, but me thinks, no doctor was going to give this loser any pills so that is why he had to cop them from Ron. And the idiot did not even ask what they might be, just downed them and hoped he could get high??? So you can just guess what these kids have had to deal with at such a young age and it is pathetic and sickening and if there was ever an argument on the table about sterilization it would be for all of these losers, they should never have been able to breed, just like cockroaches and isn't it ironic that scum like this is always fertile??? Hello everyone!
I am new posting here. I don't normally do a lot of speculating about cases , usually I prefer to follow the evidence, but this case is becoming an exception. First there is no evidence and so much bad stuff is coming out.

After LE said that they don't believe this is a stranger abduction and all of the druggies in this case I started pondering. Here are a few scenerios I have came up with:

1. Misty drugged Haleigh and overdid it? We know that she had problems controlling Haleigh, particularly at bedtime. We also know that Misty likes opiates. She had been on a rip all weekend and she and Ron were'nt getting along. Did she say screw it, I'll get this kid to sleep and give Haleigh one of her roxies? These type of opiates depress respiration and on top of Haleigh's asthma it is a possibility she OD'd.

2. Did Haleigh find something on the floor that Ron or Misty had dropped or get into their stash....same results as the last sentence in #1. They both buried her and came up with this story. It was odd (coincidence?) she was "taken" the day of Caylee's memorial. Dominic Arcenauex went missing that day too (found drowned 10 days later) so the timing could be a coincidence.

Both of these scenerios would explain why only Haleigh is gone and not Jr. Ron is not an ideal parent even could say a bad parent, but my gut says he didn't do any thing to Haleigh. Could the explanation be this simple?

LE also said they think Haleigh may still be alive. What circumstances would she disappear in a non-stranger abduction and still be alive? What could LE possibly know to make that statement?

1. One of the parents has "put" her somewhere. There was a court hearing the day before about back child support Crystal owed. It has been reported that Crystal had turned Ron into children's services. I don't have a clue which or if either parent would do this but it could be an explanation. There is bad blood and neither seems really balanced or inclined to make "good" choices. MAN, I WISH THIS WAS IT !!!!

2. Someone wanted to punish Ron for some reason....owed money, he ripped them off, they think he informed on them. I don't think Amber or NayNay did it, they don't want to care for their own kids. Why would LE think she may still be alive? This scenerio just doesn't fit to me.

Grrrrr. I am so frustrated. This little girl needs to be found. Sorry for the rant.

I'll go back to reading the evidence from the document dump in Caylee's case. ( Brad Conway, FYI, this is evidence, we just don't know how either party will use it. Stop drinking Cindy's koolaid you're starting to sound like her.)

Erin, you may already have it, but download Spybot Search and Destroy, it is free. I have several antispyware programs on my computer, but a computer repairman said that Spybot was the best. Just remember to check for updates once a week and run it about once a week also.

Hey Drew!! All right, you are among the employed again and they need to be glad they have you!!! How is your mom doing? I hope she is well, it is a hard adjustment I am sure, after being married for so long, when a spouse passes away, a lot of the time, the other does not adapt well without him or her. My grandmother was lost when Grandpa died. He had paid all the bills, she had never learned to drive, he had done the yard work and taken her to all her doctors and stores because she loved to shop and when he died at age 90, they had been married for 65 years!!! She went to hell shortly afterward, my mother and I had gone down there and made arrangements for a CPA to pay her bills and we hired a yard crew and she had friends that would take her places and we hired a housekeeper who turned out to be a complete rip off artist, she was embezzled money from her, by asking her to sign a check so she could go food shopping and Grandma trusting her would give her a signed blank check and before the CPA could catch her she had stolen over $12,000! She went to jail pronto!!! She also stole family heirlooms that we never did see again and sold all of Grandpa's tools and other items that were to go to my brother and she took my favorites thing that Grandma always said would be mine, which were her glass dresser mirror and her collection of crystal perfume bottles and her silver brush and comb set which I used to use when we played dress-up together, this broke my heart. After that, we had a nurse coming in from a good agency and Grandma lived to be 93, but she was lost without Grandpa and when her mind went I was glad she went to be with him, She ironically died on what would have been their 67th wedding aniversary. The hospital called me and told he she had passed and said the last thing she said was, she was coming Johnny, she was coming to be with him. So it was a peaceful death, she did not suffer, her body just gave out on her.

Most think like we do, that these losers are druggies and lousy parents and today, everyone seem to be on Misti's ass, and also Chad? Some say Chad snuck in there and grabbed Haleigh? Hey, Loretta. Thanks for "checking in on me". Still going through some rough stuff with my mother since Dad's suicide in March. I'm also getting tons of job interviews and just accepted a part-time position as child and family therapist at an organization I completed my practicum at. I love it there and I love working with kids and families! That's helped me to get outside of my own head and deal with others' problems.

this whole things reeks of a cover up....possibly BY law enforcement, they wouldn't want to lose one of their top informants.

on that note, the fact that he is a narc makes perfect sense. growing up as i have with a family deeply rooted in law enforcement i have SOME second hand knowledge of how things like this could work. my uncle used to head the narcotics task force for the county i live in and they have MANY informants who get away with quite a bit of illegal activity because the information they hand over is so valuable! so maybe Haleigh's disappearance had something to do with Ron's sordid past and him being an informant OR maybe he or Misty are directly responsible for some harm coming to Haleigh (via drug overdose, abuse, etc) and law enforcement is helping them keep it quiet so that they can continue to get information out of Ron about other criminals in the area

Not one TV station gave up trying to find those girls, they kept hope that they would find them alive and WBZ went to NH to interview a guy LE had their eye on in Molly's case and this guy had moved three doors down from me, his name escapes me, but he was ruled out as a suspect but the reporter wasn't sure because according to him, this guy gave him the creeps and when I saw him around, he was usually with a beer in his hand or riding his Quad down the road. And surely you are joking to think Rager would be out looking for his daughter?? Holly's father searched every inch for miles and then some and so did his friends tirelessly and sadly, months later she was found by hunters several miles away and Molly was found 3 years later 20 miles from where she was abducted. I am thinking that Haleigh is in an area that honeypie is famillar with that maybe LE is not as I do believe now that she died that night at the hands of Misti and until someone tells me otherwise I am going with that.

Just a thought, I lived 50+ years in GA and 2+ years in SC. I think both states are pretty strict about cigarette sales to minors. Every convenience store and grocery store has a sign "we card for cigarette sales" in GA. In GA, the age to buy tobacco products is 18. I don't know what it is in other states. It is actually more evident about the age for cigarettes than alcohol. But alcohol is not easy either if you are under 21. Just a thought and wondering how Fla. does this. jmo :confused:

She was a th in the Laci Peterson case. That's the first time I saw her, and heard her ridiculous statements. She was a th for some show on one other case not too long after (can't remember the case) and con't to make ridiculous statements.

I think she was the defense attorney for the elderly fellow convicted of murder who decked another elderly fellow standing in the line waiting to go to the movies. The infamous "unfortunately an aneurism ruptured the second the fellow hit the floor after being decked" defense.

It is quickly approaching the fourth month since Haleigh Cummings was taken from her Satsuma, FL home on Februrary 10, 2009. Law enforcement appears to no closer to finding her now than they were then. If they are closer, they are holding their cards close to the vest.

What private investigators have been able to uncover is a set of relationships pertaining to Haliegh’s stepmother, Misty Cummings. Misty was the last person to see Haleigh before she was snatched from their home in the middle of the night.

The exposure of those relationships involving drugs and sex appear to have touched a few nerves in Putnam County. All the arrests, the bondings, the revocations of bond, and in one case, the actual begging and pleading to return to jail last Friday by Amber Brooks (one of the characters in the mix) is enough to make you head spin.

Is somebody’s hiding something?

The humiliation the community has endured recently due to the exposure of such behaviors by some of the locals has been somewhat blamed on private investigator/bondsman/surety agent William “Cobra” Staubs.

Some say he does not have the authority to make arrests. Those people haven’t read his license signed by Florida State CFO Alex Sink that states: “holder of this license has the power to arrest as authorized by sec 903.22 and 903.29 of the Florida statutes Taylor v Taintor 83 US 366 (1872) .

What really must be a thorn in someone’s side is that I was able to videotape a person being brought out of an apartment that is reportedly used for prostitution and drugs and it appeared on national television.

Young women seeking a place to stay there are often given accomodations at that place as long as they surrender all their clothes and perform enough sex acts to pay for their stay, according to one of the former “escaped” prostitutes.

And what’s with the local criminals deciding they can call their own shots and make demands to be re-arrested, taken to jail and get released on another bail bond because they feel they get a better deal from a competing bondsman?

Oh, yes, Haleigh. While Staubs is trying to uncover leads, provide possible suspects and is actually out here searching for the girl, some of the locals are grousing because all of these elements in their community have been exposed.

Area bondsmen are annoyed that Staubs appears to be upsetting the natural order of things in that rural area.

I am checking on information provided to me that alleges one ex-local bondsman making some of the complaints is registered sex offender–a predator at that.

Another is reported to be engaged in a legal matter with a county clerk.

Gee! What if any of that is true?

When the local armchair experts ever decide to provide some actionable leads and possible suspects, they might gain some traction on getting some genuine credibility. But remember, it is much easier to run one’s mouth as a back-bencher than to actually show some spine and getting in the game.

Showing some spine, you see, takes demonstrable courage. Complaining is simply your first amendment right.

I can throw many theories out there, one being, the little B!tch who was supposed to be caring for her, couldn't stand her, but I won't. I believe Haleigh is gone, and will be found eventually. Although those involved are the lowest form of pond scum at least they are not spewing Wah, Wah, Blame, Blame like the Anthony's and if thats not any counsolation, we can be sure she's playing with Caylee in heaven. :rose::rose: And no one can hurt them anymore.

If it's true, the report of the co-worker who overheard Ron Cummings tell Misti to whip Haleigh if she wouldn't mind is what makes me think that, indeed, Haleigh is either dead or severly maimed in some way, and by the hands of the person who "whupped" her. And, IMO, if she was severly maimed, THAT would lead to her death--not necessarily because the injuries could be fatal, but that she could not be seen again, because the repercussions that would befall the beater (and her SO.)

if it's true, I do think someone would have had to have assisted Misti in removing Haleigh from that trailer (and maybe paid for assistance with a little couch bouncing?) OR, Haleigh was removed thru the back door--possibly the reason the doors were propped open--it would be easier to carry her out without having to worry about the doors when she got there, and driven off in the van.

The only thing is--if Jr could remember the squeaky shoes (or could have been the floor, or even the bouncing couch that "squeaked") he surely would have heard (if not observed) any "disciplining" of Haleigh. even if she perhaps died of something like strangulation, I would think that, with Ron's blessings, Misti would have attempted control of Haleigh by whipping her first. Unless, of course, "whipping" was a "normal" occurence in that house, so it wasn't something that Jr would think of as important to tell about?

No matter the WHO, the HOW, and the WHY, I do not believe that Haleigh Cummings is alive. It's been too long. Especially w/her medical condition. @ some point, she would need medical attention.

After all we are not talking about a bunch of people who are of very high intelligence. If they (the perps or perp) can get away with this we are in serious trouble. Meanwhile, if LE believes that Haleigh is alive, when are they going to saddle up a posse and rescue her? Or, like Caylee, is she better off where she is now?

ETA: Pretty sure the sixty day time period allotted to DCF to investigate the family situation is up. Maybe we'll hear from them soon. Of course, even if they substantiate that Ron&Misty are unfit, that doesn't help Haleigh.

I am back! Very painful this time around. I went in on the 5th and did not get out of the hospital until Fri due to severe pain and my oxygen levels were low. I also had that damm hernia fixed and they had to cut me rather than go through my belly button and I felt like someone had cut my guts out!! I do not make a good patient to begin with, and nowadays these doctors want you to get up and run a freaking marathon two hours after surgery!! They had me hooked to an IV and I was having to get up and piss every half hour and instead of letting me have a bed pan they made me get up and we all know how uncomfortable hospital beds are and trying to heave myself up, ya could hear screaming all the way to Detroit!! The pain meds were not making it till the one doctor came in who has a bit more empathy than Dr. Smith said that he knew why the meds were not working because I am on a narcotic pain killer on a regular basis so he upped the morphine and that eased off the pain.

They actually wanted me to walk down the hallway 4 hours after surgery and I told them what they could do with that, typical Wind fashion! I could not sleep because they would wake ya up every hour for BP and shots of heparin to keep me from having blot clots, I had to wear these leg things also to keep blot clots from forming and they would blow up every 15 minutes. The second day, they wanted me to get in a chair and be wheeled down to x-ray and I had to drink that nasty ass contrast crap so they could take a picture and see if the band was firmly in place and I just want to be left alone, but I went down and had it done and for the most part they did leave me alone and I got a little sleep and that night they gave me my sleeping pills and I did not hear a thing till morning and Doc said I could go home and once I got here, I went right to sleep at 3 p.m.

It has been difficult getting around, luckily, my house is not that big and everything is right next to each other and I have been on a liquid diet since then and I went to stage 3 today which means I can eat pureed soups and puddings and I hate Crystal Light and I am real sick of those flavored waters already, they all taste like crap so today I am now able to drink milk and iced tea. By week after next I can go to a regular diet and I am pleased to announce I have lost 15 pounds already!! I went to the doctors for a post-op today and could not wait to see how much I had lost and I was like pumped! The doctor was very pleased as well. I hope to reach my goal weight by December. It is a realistic one, I look good at 130 and today I weighed in at 192!!! In February, I weighed in at 229! And you guys wanna a laugh? If I go out to eat I am to show the waitstaff that I have the band, I was issued a card for medical purposes and I found out from folks who already had it and they will give me the kiddie discount especially at those all you can eat places like Country Buffet! Works for me! I can tell you this much. You can get full real quick. Tonight I had a cup of pureed clam chowder, not half bad and some watermelon and I was filled up very fast. I can feel the food moving through the port, it is like a fluttering underneath my left breast and I said something to the doctor about it and he said that was normal and I would get used to it.

With that said, I have to agree that I do not believe Haleigh is alive and I think she was murdered that night by Misti and what is wrong with these cops???? My friend just came back yesterday from that area, she is moving to Leesburg, right down the road from Satsuma and she was in a local honky tonk Friday night and a news clip came on the TV and everyone was told to quiet down and the bartender turned up the TV and while there was not much new to report, it certainly is a popular debate among town folks as to whether or not she is alive and this should come as no surprise that most folks feel she is dead and that it all comes down to Misti and the fact that these people are low-lifes and here is another BOMBSHELL, Ronnie has been kicked out of that tonk for fighting???? One lady that Ma talked to is convinced that Misti did not like Haleigh and it is all crap watching her cry on TV and she feels that Misti did not like playing second fiddle to the kids, that she wants Ron all to herself, well she got it

. When Ma asked her about the police, she snorted and said they were the worst there is, quote, "They can't find their own asses, never mind a child"!! I feel that someday, someone will stumble upon her body just like Kronk did with Caylee and I hope when they do there is enough of her left to possibly find the COD. We all know it will be a homicide for sure. People do seem to have empathy for Crystal except some are mad at her for not trying too hard to gain back custody and that is where I have issues with her and for having another child when she left her first two with a loser low-life, and don't ya know these people are always Fertile Myrtles??? Here is my beautiful god-daughter who wants a child so bad and these losers can calve them out by the dozens???? And if they lose them to the state for abuse or neglect, they they will still pump them out till their ovaries fall out and the tax payers pick up the tab for these loser women who think they are entitled to bennies because they spread their legs for low life losers just like them. That is why I have a problem with Crystal. She lost custody of the two because of drugs and then hooks up with Chad and calves out another one instead of trying to gain back custody and we all know she will have more, no doubt. I think I know why honeypie ain't knocked up as I don't think family life is her forte. I think she was trying in the beginning to deal with the kids because she has a man to support her, she does not have to work at the local Piggly Wiggly and I think Haleigh proved to be too much for her to handle, but she did not dare tell Ron because he would have kicked her sorry ass out and I think whatever went down that night, she is smart enough to know where her ass would be, in jail for life and I think by lying, it will be worse for her down the road, Casey is finding that out.

I'm not convinced that Crystal didn't get custody of Haleigh and Junior because of drug use, unless she's got a record that has been shielded because of her minor status at the time, but figure it's more likely that Scummings prevailed because he was an adult with a job, health insurance, and a driver's license, plus Mother Teresa's support. It does bug me that Crystal in all those years apparently never got situated to ask the judge to review the custody issue and that she was a scofflaw on the child support issue.

Missing sex predator may have fallen asleep in Dumpster

OCALA – Chad Eugene Reynolds, 25, a registered sexual predator missing from his Ocklawaha home since Feb. 1, had told a friend he’d be waiting for her in a Dumpster near the Summerfield Wal-Mart that night.

Now, as part of an ongoing search, Marion County sheriff’s detectives have contacted trash-collection companies from here to Georgia to see if they have encountered anything suspicious.

So far, nothing has turned up.

As one possible scenario, sheriff’s Maj. Chris Blair said Reynolds may have climbed into a nearby trash bin, fallen asleep and been taken away.

Other possible scenarios, Blair said, are that Reynolds, who had been driving on a suspended license, may have fled on his own. Or he could have been a victim of foul play.

“We’re treating this case as a missing and endangered person. We’re pursuing all leads,” Blair said.

More than three months have passed since Reynold’s mother, Debora Reynolds, or Marion County sheriff’s deputies have seen or heard from the registered sexual predator.

He left the Ocklawaha home he shared with his mother on Feb. 1, telling her he was going to a local bar to watch the Super Bowl. He did not return.

Debora Reynolds fears the worst.

“I think he died. I’m holding out hope that he’s alive,” she said amid tears. “What else can I do?”

Reynolds’ mother told deputies her son had borrowed a vehicle from Amy Baker and driven it from the bar.

A Sheriff’s Office report noted that Chad Reynolds called Baker and told her he was at the Wal-Mart in Summerfield and that the vehicle had broken down. He reportedly told her he’d be waiting in a Dumpster.

When Baker got there, she did not find him. Baker later found her vehicle in Sumter County along U.S. 441.

She told deputies the last time she spoke to Reynolds was at 2:15 a.m. that night. Five minutes after that call, Reynolds called his mother's home but did not leave a message.

On Feb. 3, a man identified only as "Ryan" told deputies he received a call from Reynolds; however, he did not speak with him because the phone was disconnected as soon as he said hello.

Maj. Blair, head of the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, said surveillance videos collected and reviewed by detectives from Marion and Sumter counties have not shown Reynolds.


The major said detectives have spoken to people who reportedly saw Reynolds at the bar and leaving it. The information is consistent with the time frame in which Reynolds placed calls to Baker.

Government records indicate Reynolds was sentenced in Putnam County to seven years in prison for armed burglary and lewd and lascivious molestation of a child younger than 12. The offense date was Sept. 3, 2002.

He was released in November 2008 and is serving 10 years of community supervision.


Debora Reynolds said that, while the outlook is bleak, she continues to hand out fliers and talk to people about her son.

“It’s hard, but I want people to help us find him,” she said.

CNN host Jane Velez-Mitchell will revisit the tragic and baffling disappearance of Satsuma, Florida five year old Haleigh Cummings on her show, ISSUES, Thursday Night, May 14, on Headline News.

It’s been over three months since Haleigh vanished Feb. 10, reported missing at 3:30 a.m. from the trailer of father Ronald Cummings by a 17 year old live-in babysitter named Misty (then) Croslin. Within a month, Cummings married Misty, whose timeline has been a major focus of federal, state and local police; seven members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s major crime unit are now the investigators on the front lines of this shadow war, along with a Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigator.

Overshadowing the hunt for clues are the embattled parents– father Ronald, and mother Crystal Sheffield –locked in a bitter child custody, he-said, she-said, battle royal over Haleigh’s four year old brother, Ronald, Jr.; abuse allegations against his father remain under investigation by child welfare workers with Florida’s Department of Children and Families, but staffers are considering Crystal’s fitness as well. In court in 2005, she lost custody to Cummings when they split.

Sources familiar with the case, including witnesses who tell me they’ve been interviewed, also tell me investigators have quizzed family members on both sides, along with Ronald Cummings’ exes like Amber Brooks, Ronald co-workers at PDM Bridge, where he worked as a crane operator before he was fired last month, neighbors who saw Haleigh get off the bus on her last day home from school, and others.

While there’s a normal 60 day deadline to finish child abuse probes by DFS, which ended last Tuesday, The Bald Truth has confirmed a news account reporting the deadline has been extended so investigators can keep digging into the fitness of the parents and determine whether Ronald Junior is safe living with his father and stepmother at the trailer home of Cummings grandmother in Welaka, or needs to be removed. “We typically try to wrap up cases in 60 days,” says John Harrell, Putnam County’s DFS spokesman. “Occasionally we go longer, but we try not to go too far beyond that.”

In the Haleigh case, a criminal probe into the missing child that includes multilple interviews with some family members was reason enough to buy child welfare workers more time to investigate, sources close to the case tell The Bald Truth. Law enforcement has been sharing some information from the case with DFS, sources tell me.

“It’s hard to go into details because of confidentiality,” John Harrell tells The Bald Truth. “What I can say here is that we’re continuing to look into things; and that child safety is a top priority.”

Options include removing the child immediately if the evidence shows he’s in immediate danger, a hearing to determine where the child should go if he’s at risk but not in immediate danger or dropping the investigation.

In the Cummings case, some witnesses have spoken to both DFS and police in joint meetings. Jerry Santos, a father of three and Ronald Cummings’ neighbor, tells me he described how Ronald was driving his purple Altima like a bat out of hell on the Monday morning that was Haleigh’s last day at school.

In fact, Santos believes he saw her through Ronald’s tinted windows as the father sped around the corner, whipping within inches of a pickup truck and nearly hitting him and others. He told investigators his daughter, a third grader who had taken Haleigh under wing when they road the bus together, was frightened for days afterwards. He recalls at least one detective giving him a thumbs up, “like now they knew why Ronald was in such a hurry that day. They didn’t tell me anything, just, ‘Now it’s starting to make sense.”

Santos tells me he also told investigators about a bizarre meeting with Cummings immediately after Geraldo Rivera, the FOX news host, confronted Ronald on camera, hitting him hard about allegedly abusing his ex, Crystal. Afterwards, he says Cummings made a beeline for his house to press Santos’ father to counter Geraldo’s charges by contacting FOX to declare him a fit parent. Cummings figured he’d do it because Jerry’s father is the DFS investigator who dug into complaints against Cummings in the past, including one that charged he had abused Junior by beating him with a stick.

That investigation reportedly determined that while Cummings used corporal punishment, it did not meet the threshhold of physical abuse.

Still, the DFS investigator was shocked Cummings would come to his son’s house to make that personal appeal that appeared to be a demand. “My Dad told him, ‘You shouldn’t even be here, the proper place to make that request is at the DFS office.’ He said there was no way he could take up for him with Geraldo.”

Santos says that Cummings was stunned, and on his way out, got hit again between the eyes with an impromptu question from his outspoken mother. “So what did Misty do with your child?” He didn’t respond, but Santos did take a moment to ask Cummings why he was driving so fast the day at the bus stop, when he almost hit his daughter.

“Haleigh was missing,” he says Ronald responded, implying he was distraught.

“No, Ronald, that was Haleigh’s last day at school. She didn’t go missing until the next day,” said Santos. Then he said it must have been because Haleigh had spilled something on her shirt and he was running late for school (even though the bus had yet to leave from the corner where Haleigh often caught it).

A call to Ronald Cummings lawyer, Greg Kimball, for comment was not returned by deadline, though Cummings did speak out in a video on the lawyer’s website findhaleigh.com, thanking volunteers and asking people to keep looking for his daughter.

Exclusive: Drug Dealer Haleigh Cummings Help?

The Bald Truth has learned that a convicted Palatka, Florida drug dealer who was arrested again Tuesday night on drug trafficking charges claimed to be using his street sources to help find clues into what happened to missing five year old Haleigh Cummings.

That’s what thirty seven year old Jerome Raymond Williams told me last week in an exclusive interview after discovering two women he’d recently helped bail out of jail had ties to Haleigh Cummings’ family he figured he might be able to exploit in an attempt to cut himself a better deal with upcoming drug charges.

Indeed, Williams told The Bald Truth before his latest arrest he was exploring options with the hard-working missing child task force that hoped the career criminal might be the break they’d been waiting for.

“We thought we had something special with Williams,” confided one law enforcement source who spoke on condition of anonymity, explaining how investigators often have to tap dance with the devil to solve unsolved mysteries like Haleigh Cummings.

Unfortunately, said the source, the drug dealer turned out to be a bust–a ‘VERY dead link to the case.” Out of some 4,000 leads police have chased, so many seemed promising, only to lead to another dead end.

There was cousin Joe in Tennessee who Misty Croslin’s family fingered as their favorite suspect – only police couldn’t tie him to the crime….A so called Haleigh sighting by a government scientist at a beauty parlor outside Nashville: a woman with a tan wearing flip flops and blue jean cutoffs in winter and a little girl the witness swore to be the missing five year old, another bust…a Chad Griffis ’”ex” whose family believed might have had it in for Crystal Sheffield for stealing her man and raising her kids…”We thought that was hot, too,” an investigator told me, “but it’s not on the radar anymore.”

It keeps coming back to the missing hours Misty Cummings can’t account for on the night Haleigh vanished, and a timeline investigators tell me they are still trying to corraborate. Then along comes Williams.

Williams and 30 year old Courtney Renee Leonard were taken into custody Tuesday night after undercover drug officers suckered the ex-con into trading prescription painkillers for what they dangled as stolen TVs, radios and a radar detector, according to the Putnam County Sheriff. .

According to a roommate who shared a triplex with Williams behind the Huddle House in Palatka, he offered a stranger four Loritabs for electronics gear. Drug officers from Putnam and St. John’s Counties, and the Palatka, PD, had been watching Williams, who arranged to meet the undercover officer in a parking lot.

According to police, both Williams and Leonard drove up, and after a little horse-trading, she offered to buy one TV for cash; while Jerome clinched a deal to trade Loritabs for electronics. Afterwards, police found illegal and prescription drugs in Williams’ car, including crack and powder cocaine, and an assortment of pills—Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Diazepam, Cyclobenzapine and Clonazepam.

Williams was charged with two counts of drug trafficking and cocaine possession with intent to sell, possession of a schedule II controlled substance with the intent to sell, possession of a schedule IV substance with the intent to sell, possession of a legend drug without a prescription, possession of a legend drug with the intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug conveyance and dealing in stolen property, according to the sheriff..

Officers also served two outstanding warrants for trafficking in Hydrocodone and two counts for selling cocaine. Williams was booked into the Putnam County jail, where Chuck’s Bail Bonds sprung him earlier this month, and had helped arrange bond for Christina Prevatt, aka Nay Nay, and Amber Brooks, Ronald Cummings ex girlfriend and mother of his son, Jordan, after Cobra first rounded them up and bailed them out. Cobra, the nickname adopted by private eye and surety agent William Staubs, had this idea he’d use the girls to cruise the crack dens and try to shake up and shake loose tips from the same crowd they’d partied with the last weekend before Haleigh went missing—when Nay Nay was driving Misty Cummings on her revenge romance in the arms of “White Boy” Greg Page after a dust up with Ronald.

At one party, Nay Nay says Misty nearly came to blows with Amber Brooks, after needling her on My Space about stealing her man, and how she aimed to get her baby, too, a disabled boy named Jordan whose paternity she confirmed when Jerome handed her the phone.

“Yep, Ronald’s name is on the birth certificate,” she told me last week after bonding out courtesy of Chuck’s Bail Bonds...

...Charles Durwood Ingram, 49, a former Palatka police officer… is the Chuck behind Chuck’s Bail Bonds, a registered sex offender who plead guilty to lewd and lascivious assault on a child in 2002. After he was sentenced to four years in prison and 11 years probation, he served two years, and began registering as a sex offender, which by statute, barred from the bail bond business. Records show he transferred title to his wife, but when I dropped by the office in a strip mall the other day, there he was, gaunt and goateed, sitting behind a desk; locals say he can be seen riding around town with his wife when she drops off bonds at the jail to spring steady clients like Jerome Williams.

“Chuck takes care of me,” says Jerome of the former bondsman who declined comment. Asked about his status as a convicted sexual predator, Jerome told me that “Chuck says he was set up and framed.”

“If you were set up, why would you plead guilty to go to prison and go on the books as a sexual predator?” asks Putnam County Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Johnny Greenwood, who investigated the case and interviewed the victim. “I just presented my facts and statements. He took the deal. If it was me and I didn’t do something, I’m gonna fight it for sure.”

But with no bond imposed for his new trafficking charges, Chuck’s long-time client was out of luck this time, and The Bald Truth has learned Jerome was transferred Wednesday to a secure facility in St. John’s County.

“He asked to be moved,” says Lt. Greenwood. “There were a lot of guys in jail in Putnam County he’d had dealings with in the past he might be facing as a co defendants in the future. He expressed his concerns (to the jail) that, ‘Hey, these guys know me.” So he was moved for security reasons.”

His co-defendant, Courtney Leonard, remained in Putnam jail, charged with dealing in stolen property; her bond has been set at $2,504.00...

...Jerome’s phone went to voice mail when I tried him today. Last week, he sure was sounding upbeat. He’d buried the hatchet with Cobra, after the self-proclaimed “hillbilly” went toe to toe with the drug dealer and alleged **** for taking Amber and Nay Nay under wing after they were bailed out.

At first baffled over how he was suddenly in everybody’s crosshairs, on the one hand he told me he was worried locals would think him a snitch, yet he was boasting to another Palatka bail bondsman that he was a bankrobber who took “federal money,” and a “drug dealer like my Daddy.”

‘That’s what he said in our office when they were trying to get one of the girls’ bonds transferred from Cobra to him, “ recalls A-1 Bail Bonds owner Donna Jaquith. “He was yelling and screaming and acting like an asshole.”

Last month, Amber was booked into the county slammer on a Friday night, on the same cocaine and failure to appear charges that landed her there originally.

Only that time, it wasn’t “Cobra” Staubs who bailed her out (within the hour), but Chuck’s Bail Bonds, the same local outfit that put Misty party pal Prevatt, 18, aka, Nay Nay, back on the streets after jail docs took her of suicide watch.

That release, while legally kosher, irked investigators with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department who tell me they’d hoped she’d detox for a few days in jail and clear her head enough to remember something useful to their investigation into the missing five year old.

It was Prevatt who told The Bald Truth she drove Misty (then Croslin) on a three day binge of parties, drugs, and sex, the weekend before Haleigh turned up missing. After they were arrested together earlier this month, it was Cobra who bonded them out for Donna Jaquith’s A-1 Bail Bonds, a Chuck rival, to cruise the drug netherworld of Putnam County in search of tipsters who might know something, anything.

Then Nay Nay tried to snatch her 9 month old from the child’s father and sent a suicide threat text message to Kim Picazio, the family law attorney for Crystal Sheffield who has been trying to encourage Prevatt to go into rehab. “She actually called to ask if we could pick her up from a drug house the other night, that she didn’t want to be around it, or do it,” Picazio tells me.

Then she was back with Williams, who, according to Picazio, took the girls clothes when they were staying with him so they couldn’t run away. When I got Jerome on his cell phone two weeks ago, he confirmed Amber Brooks had been was staying with him, too.

According to Picazio, he’s been furious at Cobra for cruising through the ‘hood and driving customers away, and Staubs tells me that before their detete, he was interrogating a witness in a cheap motel when Jerome pounded on the door and demanded Cobra stay away, or else, then began threatening his witness...

...Moments later, Staubs was detailing that encounter for detectives, when 911 calls came from the motel.

Then, Amber Brooks turned herself into the Jail; Chuck’s bailed her out; she moved into Jerome’s studio with Christina Prevatt, aka Nay Nay, and the convicted felon realized he might have two golden girls who could come in handy as part of a radical makeover he was considering after warming to attorney Kim Picazio who describes feeling out of place as she hopped out of her green Hummer in an Eli Tahari suit and high heels and sat in the tiny apartment with Williams, the girls and three beds. “I was polite and just treated him like a human being, and he was all ears,” she tells me. In fact, he actually considered allowing Nay Nay to go into rehab, says Picazio, and seemed hopeful about a fresh start.

“I’m gonna do what I can to find that missing little girl,” Williams told me in a late night call last week after starting to understand how might benefit from ties to Misty Cummings galpal “Nay Nay” and Amber Brooks.

Sources tell me Williams recently met with Putnam County sheriff’s investigators, who, after three months of dead ends, were ready to entertain how the drug dealer might help them. After all, there was an immunity offer on the table for anyone, even a dealer with a past, if he could help bring Haleigh home.

No specifics were ever discussed, sources tell me, but Williams implied he might know drug dealers who knew Misty. Only his wheeling and alleged dealing apparently rocked on, and the triplex where he was staying behind the Huddle House in Palatka hit vice cops radar.

On one visit, Picazio tells me she met a Williams friend named Daniel Bass, 47, a registered sex offender who called himself the landlord. Picazio says she warned him he might need to evict a needy family with young children in the complex, if children of a certain age nearby violated terms of his sex offender status.

Then came Tuesday night’s bust. “Nay Nay” was not arrested. Picazio who has been checking up on her between representing Crystal Sheffield in her bitter custody dispute with Ronald Cummings, and pressing her case with Florida’s Department of Family and Children, got her on the phone.

“She told me, ‘Kim, I didn’t have anything on me,’” says Picazio, who has been urging Prevatt to seek drug rehab and lobbying Jerome to let her go if she wants help. Police tell me they’d wanted Nay Nay in jail to “dry out” and get her head clear enough to remember anything she might have forgotten in previous interviews about Misty Cummings.

Investigators have interviewed Misty at least 10 times—and tell me they are still trying to reconcile “inconsistencies” in her stories, and plug timelines in others.

Meanwhile, her husband, Ronald, has been asked to return for another police interview with his attorney, Greg Kimball, “to clear up a few things, minor stuff,” a task force member tells me. But that pow-wow has yet to occur.

My sources also maintain police still do not believe it’s a stranger abduction, more likely someone “in the loop” of Haleigh’s family and friends whose name may have not yet surfaced. “We’ve got to keep an open door and an open mind,” says a source close to the case...

HAH! LP doesn't hold a candle to Cobra in my book, and where does she get that he's trying to sell a story to the tabloids? Now Leonard is another story; he wanted TES in on the JBP search of the Little Econ so that they could hold up Caylee's skull for the media. Beyond weasly(is that a word? Well, it should be!) and disgusting.

I don't get why she's got her nose in this case to begin with; isn't her specialty white collar crime? Well her speciality certainly has nothing to do with criminal law, I would venture. I mean, when she speaks it is like she is completely out of touch with what a jury would think. Example, she seems to think a jury is going to latch onto Kronk as the real killer in the Anthony case and she keeps saying there is no evidence against Casey.. Where does she get off? Did she really say that Laci jumped in the bay? Jeeezus!

I hear ya RayStar. If only we could find her and take her to a place where love surrounds her.. if only. I agree that the people who were privileged enough to have this little doll in their lives, know what happened to her and I don't believe she is with us anymore. But if there is any consulation , it is that they A holes who let her go missing, will get theirs. Right now, all they care about is themselves.. I have this to say to them. Haleigh Cummings: A Bondsman, A Lawyer And A Criminal

About ten days ago, I was meeting with bondsman/private investigator/ surety agent William “Cobra” Staubs. We were trying to catch up on the various leads, but his cell phone kept ringing with people calling and offering him more leads on the Haleigh case and others asking him when he was going to pick up a wanted woman in South Florida.

I just looked out over the St. John’s River and took in the lovely view each time he picked up the phone. That is, until one very angry sounding black male called him and started cussing him up one side and down the other.

I couldn’t help but overhear most of that conversation with those two yelling at the top of their lungs.

The man who called Staubs was an alleged local drug dealer/**** and businessman named Jerome Raymond Williams. I had run into Williams myself just days earlier when I videotaped Staubs pulling Christina Rene “Nay Nay” Prevatt out of an alleged crack house/3-bed ***** house to have her bond revoked. You’ve seen Williams and that apartment building, too, on that video seen previously on this site and on national television on HLN’s ISSUES with Jane Velez-Mitchell.

Staubs somehow got Jerome Williams to settle down. They started talking in street language and then progressed to a loud, but more normal sounding conversation.

Williams told Staubs to stop cruising through his area. He said it was “messin’ up his business.”

That’s when Staubs told Williams that he would gladly leave his area alone once he found Haleigh Cummings.

Williams paused for a moment. “If I help you get the little girl, you’ll leave me the hell alone?” asked Williams.

“Yep,” said Staubs. “You help me find the girl and I am out of here—back to the 3-0-5!”

Williams mumbled something about the “his girls talkin,” and then I couldn’t hear anything else. Their voices returned to a normal volume.
In the meanwhile, Christina “Nay Nay” Prevatt was taken off suicide watch and later released from the Putnam County Jail on a bond from Chuck’s Bail Bonds. That bond was secured by Daniel Bass, the owner of the alleged crack house/***** house you just saw in the video. Dad Vows To Never Give Up On Haleigh
Haleigh Cummings Missing For 3 Months

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Three months have gone by since 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings vanished in the middle of the night from her Putnam County home.

Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, and her grandmother, Teresa Neves, sat down with Channel 4 Thursday and asked again for the safe return of their little girl.

"Please bring her home. Please bring her home safe. If you're watching, baby, I love you. I'll never give up on you," Cummings said.

He has made the same desperate plea since Feb. 10, and he vowed to never give up on his daughter.

He and Neves showed Channel 4 new pictures of the bright-eyed, smiling kindergartner. A lot has changed since she was last seen tucked into bed in her Satsuma home. Her bicycle and other toys once scattered the yard; however, the home once filled with children's laughter is now quiet.

"You just take it one day at a time, and you keep praying," Neves said.

Cummings has lost his job. He and his new wife, Misty Croslin, live with his grandmother. Two pro-bono attorneys are representing Cummings.

"We have the job situation and the child custody situation, and everybody knows. The media has covered it, and it's been tough," said attorney Jerry Snider.

While much has changed, nightly vigils for Haleigh are still being held and her family continues to hold on to hope.

"I know that somebody has my little girl, and I know that she's a strong little girl," Neves said.

Investigators Dedicated To Solving Haleigh Case

As the search for Haleigh continues, investigators said they have not been getting all the help they need to solve the case.

"They've looked at around 4,000 leads. They've interviewed around 200 people," said Major Gary Bowling, of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

He said they still don't have a complete timeline of the hours before Haleigh disappeared.

"I just think we'd like people to fill in some gaps better, specifically going toward the timeline you're talking about," Bowling said.

He said the last person to see Haleigh, Croslin, has been cooperative but inconsistent.

"There are inconsistencies that have remained since the beginning," Bowling said.

He also said other people aren't giving them the whole truth.

"It's not just one individual that we want to fill in those gaps," Bowling said. "All of the reasons people would be fearful about cooperating with police are all roadblocks here."

Roadblocks in the case are what the Haleigh Bug Foundation has been trying to help overcome. Haleigh's mother's attorney opened the Haleigh Bug Foundation in Satsuma, where they're gathering information from the community to help police and do what they can to keep the missing girl's picture in the public.

As friends and family continue hold out hope, investigators said they are doing the same and hoping that today is the day they'll get a break in the case.

"When every second of the timeline is filled in, then well know what's happened to Haleigh," Bowling said.

Haleigh’s father makes new plea for help

SATSUMA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - In a new video posted to the Find Haleigh Now Web site, Ron Cummings made a new plea to the public asking for more tips and clues in the case of his daughter’s disappearance.

Haleigh, 5, was reported missing on February 10. Ron’s 17-year-old wife, Misty, was awake and frantic that Haleigh had gone missing from her bed.

In the new video, Ron asks the public to continue looking for his daughter. He also wanted to thank volunteers for searching for the girl.

“Haleigh if you’re watching, I love you and we’re still looking for you,” Ron said.

Ron’s attorney, Jerry Snider, also asked that the public remain diligent in coming forward with tips in the case.

Haleigh has been missing for approximately 93 days, according to the family attorney.

Haleigh Cummings: Lifestyles Unfit For Children

Satsuma, Florida- We all know who Haliegh Cummings is, you’d have to be living under a rock in Timbuktu not to know who that precious angel of a child is. Snatched from her fathers home never to be seen or heard from again. To bad really, instead of hearing her sweet laughter and seeing her bubbly face we get to endure a drama filled saga at the hands of the characters revolving around her disaappearance. I know that ones income level and criminal history does not define us as to who we are. Does the drama coming out of Haleigh’s world define her disappearance? Does the lifestyles led by the people surrounding her disappearance define why she was abducted? I have been watching and listening to quite a bit unfold in this terrible situation from the “adults” mixed in, what it appears to me is that Haleigh was growing up in a world infested with drugs and criminal activity. It saddens me to think that she was exposed to that type of life.

I have read a report that described the characters involved in Haleigh’s disappearance and the lifestyles they live. It’s made for tv drama I’ll tell you what. There are drugs, prostitution, violence, cheating, all sorts or poor decisions and morals. Haleigh and these other children all tossed into the mix. There is more then one child in this sad tale not just Haleigh, Jr., Jordyn, and Kristina Prevatt aka Nay Nay has a child also. Its not a secret that when you have drugs and prostitution that there are going to be children produced into that dark existence. Look at statistics of inner cities or any major cities that has high rates of prostitution and drug use. Here in the Pacific Northwest we have methenphetamines at an all time high children are neglected, abused, and left to fend for themselves all the time around here due to drug use. Crack users have multiple children due to trading unprotected sex for a fix. They implemented a sterilization program for drug addicted woman who continue to conceive child after child. Woman are offered a amount of money to have a sterilization implant given to them to prevent them from conceiving more children. It is called the Project Protection program is a long term birth control option for woman addicted to drugs or alcohol.

The lifestyles revolving around the children at the hands of the adults in this case is an atrocity it needs to be addressed and fixed. Haleigh is just one of the children entangled in the immoral lifestyles involved in her disappearance. I have seen poor choices through the eyes of these adults that are focused on in this case. It saddens me deeply to know that not just Haleigh but any child is being subjected to this type of activity, its poor judgment. Children who are born into that type of lifestyle are born to uncaring, unconcerned people who don’t pack the bearings to care for an egg. They don’t have it in there hard wiring to care for a child the only thing they care for is a high, their next fix. And they will use a child to achieve that goal of their next fix. Children are mere pawns to them burdens and pawns only loving them when they can get something from them. Otherwise abandoning them with who ever they can get to do there job as a parent for them. Sometimes it better for the child sometimes its not a good person that they are left in the care of.

Children are not on there top priority it is not their concern to have to deal with the responsibilities of day to day care for there children. I always try and stay focused solely on Haleigh and news that comes out regarding her little tidbits here and there when its released and what I get from my sources on the ground in Florida. I simply have to point this out. These children are born into a life that is unfit for any child. Haleigh was under the nose of a teenage girl who was loaded on all types of drugs and alcohol prior to her disappearance. It to me is a huge mistake to allow someone in Misty’s condition and recreational habits to care for anything let alone a child. I know she was doing all of that partying before Haleigh disappeared. Non the less she was not in any state of mind to care for a child. I wouldn’t trust her with my kids if my life depended on it, not in a million years. Ron knew what Misty is into he knew yet he still allowed her to care for his kids. I don’t know what Ron is into whether its drugs or alcohol like the rest of the characters in this mix what I do know is the girl he trusted his children with is. Misty should never of been allowed to care for anyone child.

Love for the child or not she is not capable of providing proper child care due to her state of mind from drug and use. It has been reported on and confirmed Misty was out doing questionable things during the days leading up to Haleigh’s disappearance. Was it her days off while she was doing this? I find it hard to stomach that Ron would allow a person with such immoral life choices to tend to his children. Far be it that he finds a suitable person who is capable in there mind to care for his children. I don’t really lay blame on Ron or Crystal for her abduction, but I do hold Ron responsible for allowing a person who uses hardcore drugs to keep watch of his children. At any given point in time those kids could of been hurt or injured. Actually one of them was abducted under her care.

A person with drugs of that nature in there system are so impaired that even though they feel they are doing a good job they are not. It leads me to question Ron and his choices of child care, why choose a person who is so obviously mixed up in drugs and a lifestyle that is unfit for any child? Is the case that he had no clue of her drug use? I would find that hard to believe myself that he had no idea what she is into. This leads me to his ex girlfriend Amber Brooks and there child together Jordyn she too is a drug user. Recently she and Kristina Nay Nay Prevatt were both arrested and found to have cocaine on them. I don’t think that this type of activity was unknown to Ron. How could he allow his children to be under the care of a drug user.

More and more I think about this and it bothers me. Ron could of prevented this all by having a capable sufficiant person caring for his kids. This element that is saturating this case is horrifying that these children are apart of the choices of these drug addicts. There is a huge problem in that area the children are the true victims having to endure care at the hands of adults who can’t care for themselves let alone a child. There is hope though there is a diamond in the rough I have reported on her previously she takes in children born to drug addicted parents and cares for them as her own. She has even taken in Kristina Nay Nay Prevatts child as her own. What is revolving around Haleigh is a big muddy mess that seems to be getting muddier by the day. Cobra even offered a rehabilitation, education and parenting program for the girls Amber and Kristina to get clean and become suitable parents to there children. The reneged on it though, I would imagine the lust for the drugs is much more powerful then the love for the child. Heart breaking extremely heart breaking. These parents know there are options to better themselves for there children yet they deny it and continue on there destructive path of immoral behaviour. I hope that they can wake up and smell the reality for what it is. These are children not toys they arent throw away items. They need love and care they need parents who will nurture them and protect them.

Haleigh Cummings: Baby I Love You

Satsuma, Florida- It has come to my attention that Ronald Cummings has made a video and put it on FindHaleighNow.com. The website that belongs to his lawyer T. Jerry Snider. It is an emotional plea made by Ron for the safe return of his daughter. Ron spoke to the public asking them to not give up, to please keep calling tips in. He asked that someone please call in that critical tip that will bring her home. He told Haleigh if your watching baby I love you, we’re still looking for you. Ron also plead with whoever is holding Haleigh captive to please bring her home, please bring her home safe. It was a very heart wrenching video to watch.

Personally I don’t see how anyone could have a problem with Ron going publicly and pleading for his daughters return. I for one am excited to see this. There is so much drama and tabloid garbage that has engulfed Haleigh’s disappearance. I am elated and relieved to see and hear Ron coming out to not only speak to those who have Haleigh or the public but to send a message to his daughter. Thats what stood out to me the most, Haleigh if your watching baby I love you, we’re still looking for you. He could of said a thousand things in that video and the only thing I would of heard was his message to his girl. I find it hard to be angry with Ron or Crystal. I know that maybe Haleigh could of been under a better eye. None the less she is missing they are the parents of a missing child. It has to be hard for them. To wake up and have meals with her empty seat every day and night. To have to look at her toothbrush or pillow, her favorite tv show when it comes on. It breaks my heart to think of how much they are missing her.

To hear her grandmother talk about her baby and how much she misses her. I think about her little brother Jr. how he must miss his sissy. Just to play with her and keep him company to help him understand. Poor Jr. has to be without his beloved sissy, breaks my heart into pieces. How he must wonder about her, of course to young to understand what it all means sissy is missing. To young to put it all together just wonders where she is? When is she coming back to play with me. Poor Jr. poor Haleigh, her family in such pain and agony over her being gone. I commend Ron for coming out and asking for her return. Pleading with the public to not give up, most of all I commend him for talking to Haleigh, honestly thats the most important thing he could of done in my opinion anyhow. Of course the tips and the calls and the searching asked for by him to the public matters but that message just for Haleigh speaks volumes to me. He loves his girl. Come hell or high water he loves her and wants her home.

I have heard and read many different things that are revolving around Haleigh’s disappearance, I have seen a cast of characters that gives me a splitting headache. I have looked into the eyes of bad choices through the decisions of the characters that seem to be surrounding Haleigh’s disappearance. To say the least its heart breaking. To think that Haleigh was mixed up in any is bad enough. Its nice to see Ron putting a message out to his child. I have been praying for something to break and well this is just fine with me. Id rather hear her family pleading for her return then more of the mud that is stirred up any other day regarding Haleigh. It may not be the break everyone has been hoping for but it is nice to hear her father lift his voice and ask for her return.

Haleigh is five years old she has blonde hair and brown eyes she has a birthmark on her left cheek , she weighs thirty nine pounds and is three feet tall. Ronald Cummings Reading from a Teleprompter
There is new video of Ronald Cummings at www.FindHaleighNow.com. It is obvious Ronald is reading from a teleprompter (or some other medium).

As the video launches, Ron gives us a fake smile (I suspect as a result of being asked to do so), but then, before and after his emotional pause, there is a genuine glow underneath it all that he cannot conceal.

Even with coaching, you still can't hide the truth. I personally believe when people are coached, it only exasperates the inconsistencies even more. Coaching only adds to a person's overburdened cognitive load, if they are lying.

This is really a very painful thread to follow. I thought I would check in for an update on Haleigh. I think someone very close to her knows more than they are telling.

Haleigh Cummings: A Bondsman, A Lawyer And A Criminal

About ten days ago, I was meeting with bondsman/private investigator/ surety agent William “Cobra” Staubs. We were trying to catch up on the various leads, but his cell phone kept ringing with people calling and offering him more leads on the Haleigh case and others asking him when he was going to pick up a wanted woman in South Florida.

I just looked out over the St. John’s River and took in the lovely view each time he picked up the phone. That is, until one very angry sounding black male called him and started cussing him up one side and down the other.

I couldn’t help but overhear most of that conversation with those two yelling at the top of their lungs.

The man who called Staubs was an alleged local drug dealer/**** and businessman named Jerome Raymond Williams. I had run into Williams myself just days earlier when I videotaped Staubs pulling Christina Rene “Nay Nay” Prevatt out of an alleged crack house/3-bed ***** house to have her bond revoked. You’ve seen Williams and that apartment building, too, on that video seen previously on this site and on national television on HLN’s ISSUES with Jane Velez-Mitchell.

Staubs somehow got Jerome Williams to settle down. They started talking in street language and then progressed to a loud, but more normal sounding conversation.

Williams told Staubs to stop cruising through his area. He said it was “messin’ up his business.”

That’s when Staubs told Williams that he would gladly leave his area alone once he found Haleigh Cummings.

Williams paused for a moment. “If I help you get the little girl, you’ll leave me the hell alone?” asked Williams.

“Yep,” said Staubs. “You help me find the girl and I am out of here—back to the 3-0-5!”

Williams mumbled something about the “his girls talkin,” and then I couldn’t hear anything else. Their voices returned to a normal volume.
In the meanwhile, Christina “Nay Nay” Prevatt was taken off suicide watch and later released from the Putnam County Jail on a bond from Chuck’s Bail Bonds. That bond was secured by Daniel Bass, the owner of the alleged crack house/***** house you just saw in the video. Bass is a registered child sex offender….and so is Chuck, Charles Ingram, of Chuck’s Bail Bonds. For the life of me, I can't understand what he is trying to say. That this is a genuine plea from Ron? Or just mouthing the words? I don't understand about "the glow" beneath the surface.

If this is the video I saw on I think JVM, I tho't he did a good job, he looked into the camera. He thanked the public for help given thus far, and he actually said "Haleigh." He looked sincere to me. And that might be what eyesforlies is trying to say, but it's hard to decipher. And, hey, the President of the United States can't put together 2 complete sentences w/out the use of a teleprompter, so one can't fault Ron Cummings to use one so that his message is coherent. IMO

This element that is saturating this case is horrifying that these children are apart of the choices of these drug addicts. There is a huge problem in that area the children are the true victims having to endure care at the hands of adults who can’t care for themselves let alone a child. There is hope though there is a diamond in the rough I have reported on her previously she takes in children born to drug addicted parents and cares for them as her own. She has even taken in Kristina Nay Nay Prevatts child as her own. What is revolving around Haleigh is a big muddy mess that seems to be getting muddier by the day. Cobra even offered a rehabilitation, education and parenting program for the girls Amber and Kristina to get clean and become suitable parents to there children. The reneged on it though, I would imagine the lust for the drugs is much more powerful then the love for the child. Heart breaking extremely heart breaking. These parents know there are options to better themselves for there children yet they deny it and continue on there destructive path of immoral behaviour. I hope that they can wake up and smell the reality for what it is. These are children not toys they arent throw away items. They need love and care they need parents who will nurture them and protect them.

Haleigh Cummings: A Bondsman, A Lawyer And A Criminal

About ten days ago, I was meeting with bondsman/private investigator/ surety agent William “Cobra” Staubs. We were trying to catch up on the various leads, but his cell phone kept ringing with people calling and offering him more leads on the Haleigh case and others asking him when he was going to pick up a wanted woman in South Florida.

I just looked out over the St. John’s River and took in the lovely view each time he picked up the phone. That is, until one very angry sounding black male called him and started cussing him up one side and down the other.

I couldn’t help but overhear most of that conversation with those two yelling at the top of their lungs.

The man who called Staubs was an alleged local drug dealer/**** and businessman named Jerome Raymond Williams. I had run into Williams myself just days earlier when I videotaped Staubs pulling Christina Rene “Nay Nay” Prevatt out of an alleged crack house/3-bed ***** house to have her bond revoked. You’ve seen Williams and that apartment building, too, on that video seen previously on this site and on national television on HLN’s ISSUES with Jane Velez-Mitchell.

Staubs somehow got Jerome Williams to settle down. They started talking in street language and then progressed to a loud, but more normal sounding conversation.

Williams told Staubs to stop cruising through his area. He said it was “messin’ up his business.”

That’s when Staubs told Williams that he would gladly leave his area alone once he found Haleigh Cummings.

Williams paused for a moment. “If I help you get the little girl, you’ll leave me the hell alone?” asked Williams.

“Yep,” said Staubs. “You help me find the girl and I am out of here—back to the 3-0-5!”

Williams mumbled something about the “his girls talkin,” and then I couldn’t hear anything else. Their voices returned to a normal volume.
In the meanwhile, Christina “Nay Nay” Prevatt was taken off suicide watch and later released from the Putnam County Jail on a bond from Chuck’s Bail Bonds. That bond was secured by Daniel Bass, the owner of the alleged crack house/***** house you just saw in the video. Bass is a registered child sex offender….and so is Chuck, Charles Ingram, of Chuck’s Bail Bonds. The once-jailed former Palatka police officer transfered the ownership of his operation to his wife, but he still participates in the business.

Staubs spoke to me Thursday to recap all of this.

I have been checking to see what people are saying on Art Harris and the majority of the folks think that Haleigh is dead and it is because of her trash family and their lifestyles and then we find out the bail bondsman is a CSO and a former cop, and now a black sleazy drug dealer is trying to find Haleigh so he can cut a break??? According to WOFL in Orlando, George and Cindy Anthony showed up to offer support for Crystal Sheffield and her family. Cindy Anthony said, "It brought back more emotion than I anticipated, but that emotion's all right because that's how we help other people."

They also spoke at the vigil to help spread awareness of all the missing children nationwide. "Coping with someone missing is the most gut wrenching, sick open wound feeling that you could ever have."

Crystal Sheffield was so overcome with emotion after speaking directly to Haleigh's kidnapper, she nearly collapsed. Cindy Anthony suggested a chair. "I've been there," Cindy said. "People have put chairs underneath me many times."

Marie Griffith said that her daughter "just falls apart." Her daughter just couldn't take the stress.

Haleigh Cummings' family and the Anthonys share the common tragedy of missing children. But whereas Cindy and George Anthony saw their missing grandchild found, Caylee Anthony's remains eventually found in a wooded lot less than a half-mile from their home outside Orlando, Crystal Sheffield's family remain in an emotional limbo, not knowing where Haleigh Cummings might be or even if she remains alive.

"It means a lot," Marie asked. "It means a lot. I didn't know anyone was going to be here other than us."

CNN host Jane Velez-Mitchell will revisit the tragic and baffling disappearance of Satsuma, Florida five year old Haleigh Cummings on her show, ISSUES, Thursday Night, May 14, on Headline News.

It’s been over three months since Haleigh vanished Feb. 10, reported missing at 3:30 a.m. from the trailer of father Ronald Cummings by a 17 year old live-in babysitter named Misty (then) Croslin. Within a month, Cummings married Misty, whose timeline has been a major focus of federal, state and local police; seven members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s major crime unit are now the investigators on the front lines of this shadow war, along with a Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigator.

Overshadowing the hunt for clues are the embattled parents– father Ronald, and mother Crystal Sheffield –locked in a bitter child custody, he-said, she-said, battle royal over Haleigh’s four year old brother, Ronald, Jr.; abuse allegations against his father remain under investigation by child welfare workers with Florida’s Department of Children and Families, but staffers are considering Crystal’s fitness as well. In court in 2005, she lost custody to Cummings when they split.

Sources familiar with the case, including witnesses who tell me they’ve been interviewed, also tell me investigators have quizzed family members on both sides, along with Ronald Cummings’ exes like Amber Brooks, Ronald co-workers at PDM Bridge, where he worked as a crane operator before he was fired last month, neighbors who saw Haleigh get off the bus on her last day home from school, and others.

While there’s a normal 60 day deadline to finish child abuse probes by DFS, which ended last Tuesday, The Bald Truth has confirmed a news account reporting the deadline has been extended so investigators can keep digging into the fitness of the parents and determine whether Ronald Junior is safe living with his father and stepmother at the trailer home of Cummings grandmother in Welaka, or needs to be removed. “We typically try to wrap up cases in 60 days,” says John Harrell, Putnam County’s DFS spokesman. “Occasionally we go longer, but we try not to go too far beyond that.”

In the Haleigh case, a criminal probe into the missing child that includes multilple interviews with some family members was reason enough to buy child welfare workers more time to investigate, sources close to the case tell The Bald Truth. Law enforcement has been sharing some information from the case with DFS, sources tell me.

“It’s hard to go into details because of confidentiality,” John Harrell tells The Bald Truth. “What I can say here is that we’re continuing to look into things; and that child safety is a top priority.”

Options include removing the child immediately if the evidence shows he’s in immediate danger, a hearing to determine where the child should go if he’s at risk but not in immediate danger or dropping the investigation.

In the Cummings case, some witnesses have spoken to both DFS and police in joint meetings. Jerry Santos, a father of three and Ronald Cummings’ neighbor, tells me he described how Ronald was driving his purple Altima like a bat out of hell on the Monday morning that was Haleigh’s last day at school.

In fact, Santos believes he saw her through Ronald’s tinted windows as the father sped around the corner, whipping within inches of a pickup truck and nearly hitting him and others. He told investigators his daughter, a third grader who had taken Haleigh under wing when they road the bus together, was frightened for days afterwards. He recalls at least one detective giving him a thumbs up, “like now they knew why Ronald was in such a hurry that day. They didn’t tell me anything, just, ‘Now it’s starting to make sense.”

Santos tells me he also told investigators about a bizarre meeting with Cummings immediately after Geraldo Rivera, the FOX news host, confronted Ronald on camera, hitting him hard about allegedly abusing his ex, Crystal. Afterwards, he says Cummings made a beeline for his house to press Santos’ father to counter Geraldo’s charges by contacting FOX to declare him a fit parent. Cummings figured he’d do it because Jerry’s father is the DFS investigator who dug into complaints against Cummings in the past, including one that charged he had abused Junior by beating him with a stick.

That investigation reportedly determined that while Cummings used corporal punishment, it did not meet the threshhold of physical abuse.

Still, the DFS investigator was shocked Cummings would come to his son’s house to make that personal appeal that appeared to be a demand. “My Dad told him, ‘You shouldn’t even be here, the proper place to make that request is at the DFS office.’ He said there was no way he could take up for him with Geraldo.”

Santos says that Cummings was stunned, and on his way out, got hit again between the eyes with an impromptu question from his outspoken mother. “So what did Misty do with your child?” He didn’t respond, but Santos did take a moment to ask Cummings why he was driving so fast the day at the bus stop, when he almost hit his daughter.

“Haleigh was missing,” he says Ronald responded, implying he was distraught.

“No, Ronald, that was Haleigh’s last day at school. She didn’t go missing until the next day,” said Santos. Then he said it must have been because Haleigh had spilled something on her shirt and he was running late for school (even though the bus had yet to leave from the corner where Haleigh often caught it).

A call to Ronald Cummings lawyer, Greg Kimball, for comment was not returned by deadline, though Cummings did speak out in a video on the lawyer’s website findhaleigh.com, thanking volunteers and asking people to keep looking for his daughter.

JD, don't know if this is a new truck or what, but back in mid-March is when Art Harris reported the new decal/logo in the back window "Only God Can Judge Me". It seems like later on, one of Cobra's criticisms of Ron was that he had bought a new truck.

I hear ya, Errin! Doesn't it seem to you, that our great country has more missing, abused, murdered kids than other civilized nations? I just can't wrap my brain around it. I know it's been said, but is there something in the water down there in FL? Especially, Satsuma. . .sure has it's share of scum. I know, I know--scum is everywhere and comes in all shapes, sizes, colors, socio-economic stratas, etc. But this case is full of sleazy, ignorant, drug-addicted, characters. drew every day, i yell at the tv , the laws are made for the criminals...it went from stealing bread & going to jail, for 100 years, to the opposite direction,of flaunting illegal cigarettes in front of the police everyday, driving w/o a license,illegal drugs,prostitution and lying to police ,obstruction of justice & probably more, for a 17 year old, who is still out walking around, taunting...
or murdering 2 wives, before you are arrested, taunting police on tv everyday for 2 years, befor e you are arrested...

at least in illinois, when you murder 3 peolple , you are arrested in 15 days, but it's probably only b/c CC was so stupid.

Haleigh Cummings: Cobra Arrested, Bonds Out!


SATSUMA, Fla.–He’s always nervous before a takedown, and that day, was no different.

He was chain smoking, guzzling go-cup sweet tea from Me-Ma’s Café, sweating beneath his kevlar vest. Parking his black Chevy Tahoe outside the Sheriff’s substation on Highway 17, he checked his Taser, tucked curls (still blond at 51) beneath a do-rag, and turned up the Gangsta rap. Cobra was psyched.

“Showtime,” said William Eugene Staubs, 51, a beefy bounty hunter and pro-bono private eye on what has been a personal, and risky quest to find missing Haleigh Cummings. “Someone’s going down!”

And Cobra was off to confront an alleged sexual predator he had reason to believe had violated his bond–and just might, he hoped, just might know something to fuel his hunt for little Haleigh.

It’s a mission Staubs vows to keep — despite that costly March 20 misstep that put him behind bars for five hours Friday. after a jailhouse bond glitch. A local outfit, A-1 Bail Bonds, balked, at first agreeing to bail him out, then backing out, citing money owner Donna Jaquith told me Cobra still owed her.

That delayed what Cobra hoped would be a quick turnaround when he learned Circuit Judge Art Nichols had issued a warrant for his arrest, and promised Putnam County Detective Kent Taylor he’d surrender Friday, even if he had to drive all night from Fort Lauderdale. He worried he’d miss the blue crab festival, then found a Miami friend to cough up the $5,000 bond to free him for illegally trying to revoke the bond of an accused sexual predator.

“Our investigator spoke to the insurance firm behind the bail bond company and they said at no time did they give Mr. Staubs permission to revoke their client’s bond, much less throw him to the ground, put handcuffs on him and try to take him to jail,” sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Johnny Greenwood told me.

Asked about Cobra’s efforts to find little Haleigh, Greenwood said, “His intentions are good, but we haven’t received any information from him we didn’t already have. “

“I haven’t solved the f—ing case for them,” fumed Cobra who called me Friday, after he bonded out on a false imprisonment charge.

“But I must be pretty good, because I ran down 300 leads and found everything on my own they say they already knew. They never cooperated with me, but we’re on the same page now.”

Well, almost. Cobra faces up to five years behind bars for a third degree felony, charges pressed by Daniel Snodgrass, 54, who faces possible life in prison if convicted of sexual battery on a child under 12 and lewd and lascivious molestation. He’s not a suspect in the Cummings case, police sources tell me, adding that satellite tracking data from his GPS ankle monitor puts him nowhere near father Ronald Cummings’ trailer, where babysitter (Misty Croslin) he’d soon marry reported Haleigh missing about 3:30 a.m. Feb. 10, more than three months ago.

As if Snodgrass needed any more headaches; he’s scheduled to go on trial June 22 in Palatka, Florida, and remains free on a $78,000 bond.

“He came to me to get him out initially,” Donna Jaquith told me, offering to spring him for a $150,000 bond, with “some security to make sure he’d show up for court.” She demanded the deed to a house, but Snodgrass declined, as so did his girlfriend, she says. That’s when the local businessman and unicycle teacher went across the street to another outfit that would give him a better deal: no collateral required.

Asked if it’s routine to allow an alleged sexual predator to even go free on bond in a capital case, the state attorney’s office told The Bald Truth it may have been policy of the last administration, “but we would oppose it today,” state attorney spokesman Chris Kelly told me in an interview. “Our administration took over in January after the bond had already been entered, with the condition of electronic monitoring. Unless (Snodgrass) were to violate the law, or conditions of his release, we’re not allowed to go back to the judge and say, ‘Hey, Judge, we don’t agree with you.”

Now, Cobra is out on bond, accused of taking the law into his own hands by trying to revoke the Snodgrass bond without permission, according to the bonding firm. “They’re lying; I had permission,” says Cobra, “they just got cold feet when Snodgrass threatened to sue, and now they’re trying to kick me to the curb.”

Mid-March, Cobra picked up Snodgrass on his “radar,” after the alleged predator tried to donate used furniture to the “Haleigh Bug Center,” a hotspot for volunteers in the missing child case that sometimes include families with children about the same age as his alleged victims. When the center learned the identity of the would be donor, the organizer rejected the gift as “inappropriate.”

As a journalist, I happened to be following Staubs around the day he decided to check up on Snodgrass after scoring a list of alleged sex offenders out on bond in the county and awaiting trial; he figured they might be worth checking for missed Haleigh leads, even after police told me they’d been ruled out in a case investigators don’t see as a stranger abduction. In addition, Putnam County counts almost 250 residents who are registered sex offenders, living large after doing their time in a rural county noted for swampland and alligators.

Still, armed with information from Snodgrass’s ex wife, his girlfriend’s daughter and others, Cobra felt it important to check his bond, wondering if he may have violated it by dropping by the Haleigh Bug Center with children all around.

First stop that day…Chuck’s Bail Bonds, which held the papers on Snodgrass. I tried to follow Cobra into the office in a strip mall, but a slight, rail-thin man with a beard and glasses saw my camera and ordered me out.

I later learned that would be Chuck Ingram, a former Palatka police officer and registered sex offender who served hard time for sex crimes against a child. As a convicted felon, he’s barred from the bail bond business, but still goes to the office and rides around town with the new head of his firm, wife Dale. I was waiting outside when Cobra emerged with a sheaf of papers he identified as the Snodgrass file.

He then made a flurry of calls to insurance contacts, including one he identified as C.E. Parish, the powerful general agent behind Continental Heritage Insurance that guarantees bonds written by hundreds of bonding firms across the country, including Chuck’s; he said he made another call to supervising agent Roger Capener. Cobra told me both had granted permission to take down Snodgrass, and that he’d taped the conversations as proof, and we were off to the races, with deputies leading the way, kicking up dust down a long dirt road.

Only both men told me in exclusive interviews Friday they never gave Cobra the greenlight. “I didn’t authorize it, or not authorize it,” said C. E. Parish. ‘I just said, ‘I want to stay out of it. Don’t pick up that man…Let the local agent make the decision.’”

Whatever was said, Cobra told me he had the all clear.

A fence and a gate marked the property line and a no trespassing sign. Cobra popped his siren, made sure the German shepherd was locked up; a barefoot man with a gray fu Manchu, no shirt and washboard abs sauntered towards him. I couldn’t hear, but watched as Snodgrass emerged, and appeared to balk at going with Cobra.

As Putnam County deputies watched, Cobra tripped Snodgrass, threw him on the ground and cuffed hands behind his back, then pushed him towards the Tahoe...

Next stop would have been jail, as Cobra loaded Snodgrass in the van, hands cuffed behind his back, and started driving.

The phone rang.

Now Cobra was angry, frowning as he fumed.

Suddenly, he had marching orders to take Snodgrass home and release him; the insurance company had done an about face, he said, after apparent calls from Snodgrass’s attorney, making threats. But the agents tell me their initial orders were ignored.

“That’s an instant lawsuit in our business. It’s what we fear more than someone taking off on bond. You hear horror stories of stupid guys going into a house waving guns and scaring the crap out of a family with kids, and it’s the wrong family … What Cobra did was stupid.”

It also angered Putnam County Detective Ken Taylor who was painstaking in putting together what he believes is a rock solid case against Snodgrass, and who feared Cobra’s antics might jeapardize a slam dunk to take another alleged predator off the streets. After making the case against Snodgrass, Taylor spent weeks investigating Cobra, then put in a call to him last Thursday.

“He said, ‘How’s it going?’” Cobra recalled, “and I said, “It’s beautiful down here in Ft. Lauderdale. The sun is shining. Life is good, except for finding Haleigh.’ And he told me, ‘Well, it’s pretty overcast right now. I’ve got a warrant for your arrest.”

We were about to get off the dirt road from Snodgrass’s house, and hit the two lane blacktop when Cobra got his turnaround orders. I asked the man riding in the backseat with me about the sexual assault charges against him. He denied everything, called it a “set up,” said the girls were lying, and should be given a lie detector test. Suddenly it was time for him to go home. Cobra tried to apologize, said he hoped there were no hard feelings.

I climbed out as Cobra chauffeured Snodgrass home. I couldn’t help wondering,”What’s wrong with this picture? I felt like taking a shower.

I haven't read or reread the actually records on Snodgrass but I am willing to bet that one of the conditions of his being out on bond is that he stays a certain distance away from kids. He would have knowingly violated that by stopping by the Haleigh Bug Center, not once but several times.

Do you think that maybe she didn't know? I would imagine one could forge a signature, unless it was one that had to be done in person or be notorized. Even then, I am sure there are some people w/a notary stamp that might not be on the up and up.

And, there was a doctor (dentist) some years ago, the family was moving, but the woman who went to realtors w/him and who actually signed the papers w/his wife's name turned out to be his pregnant g/f. Not to say CC's g/f was pregnant, but that he could have utilized the services of her or some other woman to present herself as Sheri and to sign papers.

Otherwise, it does pique my interest to know why they would decide it would benefit them to remove her name.

As for the cops involved in this case, I posted about a friend who was in that area recently at a honky tonk and she asked folks that were sitting at the next table as a news brief came on the bar TV and everyone was anxious if there were any new news, and alas, there was not, how the cops were and I quote, "they could not find their own asses never mind a child" and several other folks who heard this echoed the sentiment and having worked in LE myself I have to agree because they are doing nothing whereas I would be all over Misti like a rabid fox because of her vague stories and the fact that she is as dumb as a stump, it would not take much if they would really hammer at her to get to the truth but my take is, she is seeing first hand how Casey Anthony is being held without bail, is the most hated woman in this country and probably abroad, I know folks here are from Canada and hate her guts and as dumb as that twit is, she is smart enough to not reveal the truth being a selfish little b*tch and by not, IMO she is the reason little Haleigh is probably not with us anymore and it breaks my heart and angers me deeply and that person is Misti.

Unless a unknown sex offender is outed or that podunk police dept finds the person responsible which would prove me wrong, Misti remains my chief suspect as I don't buy any of her crap stories especially in light of all the drug activity and other assorted trash this low-life is involved with like Nay Nay and her other BFF's and I don't buy the I woke up and found her gone story and I base this on those doors. The inside door would stick causing the person trying to open it to put some muscle behind it, the outside screen door also would not latch right and also hard to open and when opened would bang on the side of the home and police arrive to find the door propped open with a cinder block??? Only a person who had first hand knowledge about those doors would think to prop it open so as to have quiet, easy access to the home and Haleigh. And I believe it is all about Misti and possibly that black fellow "White Boy" I believe that she was possibly banging him while Ron was at work as she had dated him before Ron.

Now JR had said he saw a black man in black and at first I dismissed this because of his age where some kids confuse reality with fantasy, but one night I was sitting here reading articles from various TV station web sites and postings here and a red flag went up in front of me and I said, wait a minute, this does make sense, this kid probably did see a black man in black, in the dark he would appear to be all black and the couch bouncing got me thinking too, maybe Misti is banging this guy on that couch? Haleigh got up and saw what was going on and God knows what this poor child had seen already in her young life, she might have even known what sex is because of her low-life family dynamics??? Cops searched a dumpster where 3 dogs hit on, but this was days after she went missing and as far as I know, this yahoo police dept never searched the landfill, maybe she put her in a garbage bag, buried her deep down in the dumpster, it was not near the homes, but on the side of the park and the garbage was picked up and sent to the landfill and I have no idea why they did not think to search it, but the more I hear about them, the less confidence I have in them finding anything as two inmates escaped from their jail in broad daylight?? It has to be someone that knew the home. someone who knew that those doors were noisy and that person would be Misti. And while the police spin their wheels, not much of Haleigh will be left and I hope it is not because this family is pure trash that they have given up on this case because it sure looks that way to me.

Picazio, Cobra (to my recollection), Harris and Hart all seem to have all the faith in the world in Putnam County LE, but it's not just that they are allowing Misty to bamboozle them and fail to provide a bona fide timeline after months of no Haleigh; it's that they don't give updates. SATSUMA, Fla.—The orange pickup truck kicked up dust clouds on the back roads, a “Missing” poster of 5 year old Haleigh Cummings on the rearview window. Behind the wheel: an accused predator free on bond.

Although charged with sexually abusing a nine year old girl and molesting her 16 year old sister almost two years ago, Daniel Everett Snodgrass, 54, maintains his innocence, and a soft spot for missing children. A fine motive for the self-employed businessman to drop by the Haleighbug Center on Highway 17 outside Satsuma to offer free furniture almost three months ago.

“I’m a nice guy, I just wanted to help,” he told center organizer Jeremiah Regan, 26, who followed the truck, uncertain of the mystery benefactor’s identity as he drove past the gate with the no trespassing sign, invited in to check out two heavy desks in a shed alongside a sprawling ranch house, where Snodgrass taught young girls how to ride a unicycle. Regan thanked him, then spied a black bulge around his ankle, partially covered by long blue jeans – the tell-tale GPS monitor.

Snodgrass. Snodgrass….The name suddenly rang a bell…He suddenly remembered the news…a man named Snodgrass had been charged with a capital sex crime, set for trial June 22, in Palatka, where at least two girls are expected to testify he molested them. (Snodgrass has told police the alleged victims and witnesses are lying.)

After confirming his identity, Regan politely rejected the donation, and Snodgrass ordered him off the property. He related the story to William Staubs, aka Cobra, bounty hunter, bond pickup agent and pro bono private eye who was checking out accused and registered sex offenders in Putnam County as part of his search for clues to the Haleigh Cummings mystery.

According to law enforcement, GPS satellite coordinates transmitted during the window of time the little girl was reported missing early Feb. 10 showed Snodgrass was nowhere near Ronald Cummings trailer when 17 year old babysitter Misty Croslin said she woke up to find Haleigh gone.

While ankle monitors aren’t infallible near large bodies of water, experts say, police source told me Snodgrass was ruled out in the Cummings case, along with 247 registered sex offenders in Putnam County.

But Cobra says he grew concerned about Snodgrass after he’d paid a visit to the Haleighbug Center, which was shut down in Satsuma last week and moved to the hay farm in Baker County, where Haleigh’s mother, Crystal Sheffield, lives with her fiancé, and their one hear old, while undergoing further tests for seizures that make her unable to drive, according to her attorney, Kim Picazio.

Cobra was also concerned after interviewing Snodgrass’s mentally disabled ex-wife who related the same story she’s also told police—that she helped Snodgrass recruit young girls during their marriage. He also wondered whether he might be selling furniture and other items, if a tipster was correct.

“If your client is having a yard sale, that’s not a good sign,” said Sam Jochananov, a general insurance agent from Miami who bailed out Cobra after a local bail bond owner, Donna Jaquith, yanked his bond. “You’ve gotta ask if he’s a flight risk.”

Flight risk or not, critics say Cobra was not authorized to revoke a bond written by another agent, in this case, Chuck’s Bail Bonds, which had guaranteed the $70,000 no collateral bond that sprung Snodgrass.

If their client failed to show for court, and they couldn’t afford to pay, Cobra says the insurance firm that guaranteed the bond would be out of luck. As an authorized agent of the same outfit, like Chuck’s, Cobra claims the power of attorney granted him by the insurance carrier and on file with the state gives him the right to look out for the company, investigate and revoke a bond if necessary. Others dispute that.

Still, off he went to Snodgrass’s home, where our cameras caught Cobra calling for police backup on March 20—he reported hearing a gun being loaded inside the house—after he set off his siren and Snodgrass refused to come out. Cobra retreated to his truck and waited for police after a Snodgrass’s housemate named Marty marched out in jeans with no shirt, strutting washboard abs, a gray Fu Manchu and defiance; he demanded Cobra take a hike, snarled he was trespassing.

You're kidding....! My grandmother was in her 50's when I was born... and I am not the oldest grandchild. My mother was a grandmother by the time she was 35, because she was a mom at 17 and my sister was a mom at 17. But that was a long time ago!

Marian, yes Welcome!! As for the cops involved in this case, I posted about a friend who was in that area recently at a honky tonk and she asked folks that were sitting at the next table as a news brief came on the bar TV and everyone was anxious if there were any new news, and alas, there was not, how the cops were and I quote, "they could not find their own asses never mind a child" and several other folks who heard this echoed the sentiment and having worked in LE myself I have to agree because they are doing nothing whereas I would be all over Misti like a rabid fox because of her vague stories and the fact that she is as dumb as a stump, it would not take much if they would really hammer at her to get to the truth but my take is, she is seeing first hand how Casey Anthony is being held without bail, is the most hated woman in this country and probably abroad, I know folks here are from Canada and hate her guts and as dumb as that twit is, she is smart enough to not reveal the truth being a selfish little b*tch and by not, IMO she is the reason little Haleigh is probably not with us anymore and it breaks my heart and angers me deeply and that person is Misti.

Unless a unknown sex offender is outed or that podunk police dept finds the person responsible which would prove me wrong, Misti remains my chief suspect as I don't buy any of her crap stories especially in light of all the drug activity and other assorted trash this low-life is involved with like Nay Nay and her other BFF's and I don't buy the I woke up and found her gone story and I base this on those doors. The inside door would stick causing the person trying to open it to put some muscle behind it, the outside screen door also would not latch right and also hard to open and when opened would bang on the side of the home and police arrive to find the door propped open with a cinder block??? Only a person who had first hand knowledge about those doors would think to prop it open so as to have quiet, easy access to the home and Haleigh. And I believe it is all about Misti and possibly that black fellow "White Boy" I believe that she was possibly banging him while Ron was at work as she had dated him before Ron.

Now JR had said he saw a black man in black and at first I dismissed this because of his age where some kids confuse reality with fantasy, but one night I was sitting here reading articles from various TV station web sites and postings here and a red flag went up in front of me and I said, wait a minute, this does make sense, this kid probably did see a black man in black, in the dark he would appear to be all black and the couch bouncing got me thinking too, maybe Misti is banging this guy on that couch? Haleigh got up and saw what was going on and God knows what this poor child had seen already in her young life, she might have even known what sex is because of her low-life family dynamics??? Misti had already witnessed Ron's rage and if Haleigh let it slip that Greg was there, you know he would be all fired up and probably beat the crap out of her so she got scared and somehow killed Haleigh and placed her somewhere that she might be familiar with like Casey did. Cops searched a dumpster where 3 dogs hit on, but this was days after she went missing and as far as I know, this yahoo police dept never searched the landfill, maybe she put her in a garbage bag, buried her deep down in the dumpster, it was not near the homes, but on the side of the park and the garbage was picked up and sent to the landfill and I have no idea why they did not think to search it, but the more I hear about them, the less confidence I have in them finding anything as two inmates escaped from their jail in broad daylight?? It has to be someone that knew the home. someone who knew that those doors were noisy and that person would be Misti. And while the police spin their wheels, not much of Haleigh will be left and I hope it is not because this family is pure trash that they have given up on this case because it sure looks that way to me.

SATSUMA - Authorities say they are more than 4,000 leads that need to be followed up on in the case of 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings who disappeared from her north Florida home.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement hosted a round-table to discuss the case Thursday. Sheriff's Captain Dick Schauland says some of the evidence collected by crime scene technicians still needs to be analyzed. He said there are also some interviews that need to be re-conducted.

Haleigh Cummings was being watched by her father's 17-year-old girlfriend, Misty Croslin, when she vanished from his home in February. Authorities are treating the case as an abduction. No on has been named as a suspect.
