Ron was at work----something about making an honest living.....
Guess he's not at work anymore; as he raids the $$$ contributions. No doubt he has lost some brain cells with all the drugs and he probably didn't have too many to start with. Poor Jr in that environment; I hope he gets into a decent family soon. Sometimes at school we teachers will brainstorm about the ideal family for this one or that one and we dream what a different life the kids would have if we could get them new famillies. Now isn't that sad...we care more than their families

I read on the Art Harris site in some of the comments that Ron had lost his job. It didn't give why, just that he had been let go. I would almost bet that it had to do with his drug record. That or they had him drug tested and the test come back positive.

I know that here in Ohio that if he would have been drug tested on a regular basis seeing as he is a heavy equipment operator.

oh there was so much arguing about him going back to work, at IS, last week... ..i remember when a poster called his work...then i later found out, i knew the poster since s peterson & i believe she was told that ron quit & not to call back...then there was a story he went back to work last monday & was told no & police were called, but no one else has said anything,if he is working or not....:confused:

Haleigh's father loses his job

After waiting two months to hear from the father of still missing 5-year-old Putnam County kindergartner Haleigh Cummings, the Palatka plant where he worked has fired him for abandoning the job, the company said.

Cummings’ employment was a factor in his being granted custody of his daughter and son in 2005 because he was in a better position to pay for health insurance. Following Haleigh’s disappearance, the long estranged mother of the children has said she wants custody of their son, 4-year-old Ronald Cummings Jr.

Tony McCauley, director of human resources for PDM Bridge, said Cummings’ bosses never heard from him following Haleigh’s disappearance Feb. 10. McCauley said Cummings could have asked for a leave of absence.

“That never happened,” he said from company headquarters in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. “Without that happening, at some point they filled his position. He was released.”

Cummings operated a rolling crane at the plant north of Palatka. He was not a longtime employee.
“We still have a great deal of sympathy for Mr. Cummings and his family and certainly hope for the best,” McCauley said.

Haleigh was reported missing just as Cummings was arriving home from work about 3 a.m. on Feb. 10 and his girlfriend said the youngster was gone. The girl has not been found despite an intense search and investigation that is still continuing.

Earlier McCauley said the company was willing to hold the job open but wouldn’t discuss if it was doing anything else to assist the family. But Wednesday he said a decision had to be made that was consistent and fair regarding other employees.

This week PDM asked Putnam County deputies to monitor shift changes at the plant that employs about 120 people and manufactures structural sections for steel bridges. McCauley would not say if the company had a specific reason for the request but only that it is done in some cases.

“It’s just a judgment call you make from employee to employee based on what might happen,” he said.

Lt. Johnny Greenwood of the Sheriff’s Office said deputies were stationed at the plant during the two daily shift changes beginning Monday. They wanted to make sure there were no disruptions in case Cummings was upset.

Officers did not encounter any either day, Greenwood said.

Calls to Palatka attorney Greg Kimball, who is representing Cummings, were not returned Wednesday.

Since his daughter’s disappearance, Cummings has had access to money donated for family expenses but which can only be released under state rules for such accounts.

Private investigator and bounty hunter Williams Staubs, aka Cobra, tracked Page down, checked out his story and made the introduction. He told us the same thing Staubs says Page laid out for him–denied any knowledge of what happened to Haleigh. It was Misty, then soon to be bride of father Ronald Cummings, who reported Haleigh missing early Feb. 10–the day after Page last says he spoke with her. I feel like it was a kind of a rushed thing because right before she went back to him, she was with me, and she was telling me she left him because he was going to beat on her or whatever, they used to fight all the time…

I’m the mystery man. All sudden they just throw me out there as the mystery man hiding, behind the scenes, kinda makes me look guilty, ya know, how they throwed me out there, the media put me out there, ‘oh the mystery man. Instead of just saying, ‘Oh a friend.’

I just got caught up at a young age, I’m not a bad guy, and a lot of the things the media said about me, true enough, I went to jail for ‘em. But a lot of it wsa just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You know what I mean? The police charged me with other people’s drugs, I went through the process and beat it, but it’s still on there (my record). So it’s like a black eye, even though I didn’t get convicted…

Now they’re talking about, I worked for the cops, but I never had to do that. Now I got the same MOS as Ronald (Cummings) on the news because he had a lot of charges but no convictions. And no jail time, and I got the same kind of thing, but we’re different…

I didn’t force Misty do anything, they came to me. And we hung out, me her and her friend, Nay Nay, partying and getting high. I don’t want to be involved in all this. Period. That’s the bottom line.

Sooner or later, God‘s going to reveal it to everybody, let ‘em know the truth. And people who have no involvement will get freed out of it, and those who were actually involved will get prosecuted for it.

Hopefully people will take my side and know I’m telling the truth and could forgive me for my involvement in it, even though I have none. Just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Basically what it is

I had nothing to do with it and that’s pretty much were I stand at, you know. Don’t know anything.

When they brought me in, I didn’t know what was going on. They said, ‘We going to bring you in on this Haleigh Cummings. I didn’t think I (should have been) brought in at all, you know. I didn’t feel like I was going to be brought in because I had no involvement in it.

You know how people talk, I guess the investigators seen my phone number on her phone…and seen we had involvement and questioned her and I guess she told them and they came and got me

I was kinda worried about it (at first), but when they told me what was going on, I’m saying, ‘hey man, this is a bunch of crock, crocks of garbage, cause I know I ain’t did nothing.

Then Saturday, they (police) came back and got me and wanted me to take a lie detector test. They put this blood pressure cup on your arm and its very uncomfortable, and they ask you questions over and over again. And you get different responses in heart beat rates and all kinds of stuff like that, and they haven’t questioned me since.

I’m the good guy.

For me to pass a lie detector test and you still throw me into it…
I feel like what was thrown at me now, that I passed a lie detector test and you still throw me into it? Somebody had to mention my name, know what I mean?

To change the focus from the parents and put it on the ‘mystery man,’ know what I’m saying? So now, the whole world says, ‘Oh, he’s a black guy, he done it.’”

That’s the typical stereotype.

Everything I heard about him (Ronald Cummings), he was a piece of s—. To be honest with you, know what I mean? I heard he went round robbin’ people and stealing drugs and stuff like that, I don’t know I never dealt with him. I don’t know anything about him.

(For his part, Ronald Has drug arrests but no convictions, and his attorney has denied in a press release he uses only prescription meds, no illegal drugs).

“He was on one side of Putnam County, I was on the other. If someone has the heart to take a gun and rob a drug man in a drug hole, they could be capable of anything. Cause it take some balls to go in there and just strong-arm somebody.

(Cummings denies he’s ever committed such a violent act, even against drug dealers, but that’s one rumor police sources tell the investigators have ruled out.)

Page: I let God handle my problems. I try not to worry about anything, cause God ain’t gonna take you to anything he can’t take you through. That’s my philosophy on life, you know.

We were just riding around, typical Friday and Saturday night. Just riding around having fun, just me, Misty and Nay Nay.

I don’t remember the last day, but I’m sure I like seen her Sunday.And that was the last day I seen her. But Monday, I did talk to Misty. And she told me she was at the hospital with her Dad, because her Dad had been in a car a wreck. And she said, ‘I’ll call you back, and never heard from her again.”

But I haven’t tried to contact her since because I want to stay the hell away from her.

Now I understand her parents are riding around trying to find out where I stay at, making death threats on me.

(The Croslins deny any desire to harm Page and deny making such threats).

I don’t know why they’d want to harm me. They should be more concerned about the child than to try to harm somebody else.

Harming me isn’t going got solve the problem– the child is still going to be gone. And it’s nothing can be done about it until it’s solved.

If I could put myself in their shoes, I wouldn’t be concerned about anything other than my child brought home safely.

Running around town trying to get free stuff (as Ronald Cummings has been reportedly trying to do), I wouldn’t be thinking about that stuff, just my child brought home safely.

I sympathize with the family, I wouldn’t want my child to be abducted.

Thanks for asking Errin. Dad's suicide has complicated the grief process, especially for my mother. She seems to be coming along OK as long as I'm here holding her hand 24-7. (Which is taking its toll on me.) My hope is that she agrees to get to a bereavement support group or speak to her pastor.
Since I am a licensed family therapist, she seems to think I can be her personal "counselor". I've got my own grief issues to deal with. I've been unemployed since Feb. 20 and as soon as I can land another job, the better we both will be.

I still can't get over that $400 he blew on that stupid tattoo. This guy is dumber than a box of rocks! Where's Jr. and who is supporting him? Bet they're all relying on welfare.

Since I am a licensed family therapist, she seems to think I can be her personal "counselor". I've got my own grief issues to deal with. I've been unemployed since Feb. 20 and as soon as I can land another job, the better we both will be.

Hope your Mom will reach out to another source and I hope the pastor is doing his best to step in wearing his pastoral care hat. (Some don't offer it unless it's asked for, or that's been my experience.) I wish you both nothing but the best and though it's difficult, I'm glad that you have each other.

More than likely it is DD. Most companies of any size do that now for security reasons. Both for the employee's check and for security at the job site. You don't want someone getting fired and "going postal" on the site. It just gets ugly when they do. A construction site is not a good place to go postal for several reasons. On a lot of these sites people who have a temper problem even don't want to get nasty. They normally get a "mudhole stomped" in them. There are some quiet people in construction who can hurt you.

I think about you a lot and wanted you to know you and your mom are still on my prayer list. May God give you strength and peace at this difficult time. I will also pray about your job situation.

Drew, my heart goes out to you, it has to be hard to have to wear two hats, and complicating things is that your own mother is your pt so to speak, is it like you have become the parent instead of the child? And it really sucks you lost your job, they lost a valuable member if you ask me and this is the shape of things to come when in your field, pink slips are handed out, not what you would expect with this world so crazy these days. As for these losers, I know people who have lost children and they HAD to go back to work, they were not about to go on welfare so once again my feelings about these hillbilly cretins have been correct all along and if he was a valuable member of that company they would surely have held his job, maybe even gave him severance pay.

My friend's son unfortunately is in jail for 18 months and the whole thing is f*cked up. He and friends went up to UP and were partying on a lake and other people tied up to their boat and like young people do, hang out and have a good time. One of Theo's friends innocently chucked a beer cap and it went down a girl's bra and the boyfriend went nuts and it turned into a brawl and Theo to save his life, a guy was trying to drown him, hit the guy with a bottle and the guy sustained brain damage and would you not know his Daddy is a DA in another county and what does he do ? Illegally, got the case transferred to his docket without giving a good reason for the change of venue and he threw the book at Theo and two of his friends and they go to jail and this kid was making $90,000 a year and now he sits in prison and it breaks my heart because he is a kid you would want your daughter to marry. Luckily, he was classified as non-violent and is in a medium secure prison and he is actually working for the warden and he is trying to get him out on early parole, I wrote many a letter on his behalf and luckily because he is a valuable member of his job, they are holding it for him because they believe in him too, big cry from Ronnie huh?

Company probably could not wait to get rid of him, wonder if anyone there saw his rage?? When I started to get sick, I was taking sick leave and no one could figure out why because I never had, usually took it for extra time off or a bigger paycheck and the female sheriff that came on board after I left, told me she would hire me back anytime I was ready to come back, but I don't think I can work a full time job, beautiful day here, and I feel lousy today, achy and I went outside and got some air, but I am gonna go lay down and take a nap, but you know what happens? I think about all these children, missing or dead and I don't even know them, I wake with dread, I turn on the news and am afraid that CNN will be reporting that they found Haleigh's body and last week it was that way with Sandra and I was sick when my sister called to tell me that she had been found dead and she was the one to call me and tell me that Caylee had been found, I was taking a nap that day.

Picazio is on Prime News, she answered the question about Crystal being in arrears on her child support straightforwardly, but then at the end of her segment she seemed to downplay that a little. Honestly that bothers me. FHATE deadbeat parents. Can't afford the one's you have? Don't have more!

TH is saying that Ron's loss of a job isn't monumental to whatever child custody issues there are or may occur. Picazio reports that DCF is around day forty of the sixty days allowed to complete their investigation. She mentions that the fitness of Cummings' home includes whether or not he will be the suitable custodial parent for Junior and eventually Haleigh again. She mentions that domestic violence is certainly a factor.

$24 Million Worth of Drugs Seized in Putnam County


PALATKA, FL -- A drug investigation by joint agencies across Florida netted nearly 11 arrests and took nearly $24 million worth of cocaine and marijuana off the streets of Putnam County -- the largest bust to date.

Teamwork between the Putnam County Drug/Vice Unit, agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, and Immigration & Customs Enforcement agents made it possible to seize 85 kilograms of powdered cocaine, 15 pounds of marijuana and one pound of crack cocaine.

An agent with the DEA estimated the street value of the drugs being approximately $24 million.

Several thousands of dollars in cash, two vehicles, and several pieces of electronic equipment were also taken as a result of the search.

Sheriff Jeff Hardy noted this drug confiscation has the highest dollar value of any seizure in Putnam County's history.

The drugs were stored inside two houses on San Jose Avenue in East Palatka. After agents obtained search warrants they went inside and arrested 11 individuals.

All the suspects were inside the houses at the time of the bust. Nine people were arrested, and two are being detained for questioning as part of an ongoing investigation.

The following suspects were arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail:

Haleigh remains missing. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has publicly stated that the teenager responsible for caring for Haleigh Cummings on the night of her disappearance has given inconsistent statements to the authorities.

Such inconsistencies have, according to law enforcement, impeded their investigation. On the heels this frustrating revelation, Ronald Cummings chose to marry the same teenager whose inconsistencies have frustrated authorities investigating his daughter’s disappearance.

And now we know that Ronald Cummings willingly left his young children in the care of that same teenager whom he knew was using illicit drugs in the immediate days prior to Haleigh’s disappearance. Crystal Sheffield’s little girl has not been found. If the truth about Ronald Cummings’ lifestyle or teen bride could lead law enforcement closer to finding Haleigh, not one of us should close our eyes or stay silent. We need to find out what happened to Haleigh while she was in Misty Croslin’s custody.

We will keep asking the hard questions, ferreting out fact from fiction, delving deeply, sometimes uncomfortably, into the lifestyles of all persons of interest, and keeping the public aware of our findings - all in our endless pursuit of clues as to Haleigh’s disappearance.

Haleigh Cummings Dad Protests Firing!

Under attack by the mother of their missing five year old daughter, Haleigh, for alleged abuse and his new bride’s purported former party girl lifestyle, Ronald Cummings has fired back at the bio Mom, and the engineering company that fired him as a crane operator, a job loss that could factor into future custody disputes.

Indeed, a steady job with health insurance was cited by a Putnam County judge who granted Ronald custody of Haleigh and “Junior”in 2005, in the now resurrected, swampland “War of the Roses” with bio Mom Chrystal Sheffield. Now Ronald’s lawyers are hinting he may sue Palatka, Florida’s PDM Bridge company for wrongful termination.

“From the time of Haleigh’s disappearance,” his Palatka, Fla. attorneys said in a press release Thursday, “Ronald Cummings was told that his employer was holding his job open…that he could start back to work on Monday, April 6, 2009.

“Ronald agreed to this date and was prepared to go in to work when he was told on Friday, April 3, 2009 that the offer to return to work was being withdrawn for “abandoning his job.”

After he was fired, PDM asked for deputies with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department to cruise the sprawling yard of the respected steel fabricator and engineering construction firm, a mere precaution to avert potential violence from terminated employees.

Cars patrolled for several days without a Ronald siting, or an incident, police tell me.

“It’s a judgment call you make sometimes,” PDM human resources director Tony McCauley told The Bald Truth in an exclusive interview Friday from headquarters in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

“Ronald expressed his displeasure with the company for going back on its word, but at no time threatened anyone,” his attorney’s said in their release.

“We are obviously very sympathetic to the tragedy that happened,” McCauley told me, adding that PDM was “very patient” with Cummings, but was never notified if or when he would return. He confirmed Ronald had recently finished a 3-month probationary trial period for new employees, but never filed an official request for a leave of absence to keep the job open.

“If an employee applies for a leave in a hardship situation like that, we try to work with them,” he told me, “but when we realized that hadn’t happened, we had to move on…There are a lot of people out there calling us for jobs, begging us for jobs, and that’s what some people probably don’t understand.

“You try to be as patient as you can; we held the job open for some time, but you have to draw the line with an employer-employee relationship. I can’t imagine what the family must be going through, but we are also running a business.”

Misty (then Croslin) was babysitting.

Sheffield attorney Kim Picazio says Ronald’s firing could factor into her custody fight for Haleigh’s baby brother, but she’s especially troubled by the party lifestyle of the 17 year old stepmom private investigators like Williams Staubs, a Florida bounty hunter who goes by the street name, Cobra, has been uncovering.

This press release is in response to the Florida Times-Union article of today’s date.

Ronald Cummings in the last two months has had to deal not only with the disappearance of his daughter Haleigh, but also false muckraking allegations by attorney Kim Picazio, representing Crystal Sheffield, and Picazio’s personal friend “Cobra.”

From the time of Haleigh’s disappearance, Ronald Cummings was told that his employer was holding his job open. He was told by his employer that he could start back to work on Monday, April 6, 2009. Ronald agreed to this date and was prepared to go into work when he was told on Friday, April 3, 2009 that the offer to return to work was being withdrawn for “abandoning his job.”

Ronald expressed his displeasure with the company for going back on its word, but at no time threatened anyone.

This office has referred Ronald to a Daytona Beach law firm that handles labor and employment law.

It should be noted that Crystal Sheffield is currently thousands of dollars in arrears for child support. She has not been gainfully employed in approximately two years. When Crystal and Ronald lived together it was mainly Ronald’s grandmother that cared for their children since Crystal was usually watching TV.

This office anticipates providing Department of Children and Families (DCF) with new information on a confidential basis in the near future.

It is ironic that the last Florida Times Union article by Dana Treen on April 5, 2009 bemoaned that the squabbles and personal differences of Haleigh’s parents have distracted from the search for Haleigh. The article blamed both sides equally. The article was rebutted in a press release from this office (which is being re-printed and follows this release).

Now Dana Treen wants to wade into personal matters on the side of Crystal Sheffield. Which is it, Mr. Treen?

This press release is in response to the Sunday, April 5, 2009 Florida Times Union article on the Haleigh Cummings case.

The headline of the article was “Family Feud Takes Focus off Search for Haleigh.” Both Ronald Cummings, the father of Haleigh, and Crystal Sheffield, the mother of Haleigh, were blamed equally.

The reporter for the Florida Times Union failed to give a proper perspective on this issue.

A few facts need to be clarified:

1. It was Crystal Sheffield who chose to launch a Department of Children and Families (DCF) investigation about Ronald Cummings, as part of preparation for a custody battle over Ronald Cummings, Jr., rather than focus on the search for Haleigh.

2. Crystal Sheffield got attorney Kim Picazio from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to represent her. Attorney Picazio has been on television at every opportunity seeking publicity for herself and about family law issues.

3. Attorney Kim Picazio has admitted on television that the so-called investigator William E. Staubs, who refers to himself as “COBRA,” is a personal friend. Cobra arrived in Putnam County from Ft. Lauderdale [sic] shortly after Haleigh went missing and has been feeding information to Picazio and some media.

4. Ronald Cummings had to obtain legal counsel in self defense of the public allegations by Sheffield-Picazio, and also regarding Sheffield-Picazio allegations to DCF.

5. That Kimball & Snider, P.A. only got involved in this case on March 18, 2009, approximately five weeks after Haleigh went missing. Our initial press release (a copy of which follows) of March 19, 2009, in paragraph three (3) stated that Sheffield-Picazio allegations about family law manners were detracting from the search for Haleigh.

6. That Kimball & Snider, P.A. got involved in this case because Ronald Cummings, at the urging of a family member, called our Palatka office. Palatka is about five miles from Satsuma where Ronald resided.

7. Kimball & Snider, P.A. has responded through press releases to rebut and correct Sheffield-Picazio allegations. We have not appeared on national tv or even given any interviews to local media.

8. Kimball & Snider, P.A. has provided information on a confidential basis to DCF and Putnam County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) about this case, and will continue to act responsibly to assist DCF and PCSO.

My head is spinning. Guess I should have slept a little longer, lol!!!

I guess, if the lawyers are @ it publicly, in the papers and all, that keeps some of the heat off Ronald, Misti and Crystal, for sure. And, regardless of what people say about this carp not helping in the search for Haleigh, what it DOES do is to keep Haleigh's plight in the headlines and national news even on days (or weeks) when there is no information on the progress of the investigation.

I guess, if I were to have to choose between what PDM says did nor did not occur in relation to his job, or what Ronald Cummings says, well, @ this point I'd have to think PDM is more likely telling the way it happened. I really am surprised, tho, that Ronnie doesn't just take the unemployment--more money than he is getting right now, and he doesn't even have to punch a time clock, worry about being on time, calling in sick, etc. Unless he (and maybe some lawyers) think they can get bigger bucks for wrongful dismissal. I don't see where they can go with that, unless they can PROVE the April 6 deal. There isn't a company around who would be required to hold a job for an employee who doesn't @ some point contact them about needing a leave. Even tho this is a well-known case.

And if the SO isn't utilizing these side issues to get an idea of what's likely going on with the players and how they operate, they're missing out on some important behaviors.

I have heard conflicting reports on this next piece of information so if anyone can verify it I would really appreciate it. I have read that Haleigh used an inhaler on a regular basis. That is what the grandmother was talking about that was missing from the trailer.

If she were taken because of something that Ron did, I don't see those people keeping her alive this long either. Not to mention that the way that Ron and his Mother talked, Haleigh was a frequent visitor to her doctor.

REPORTERS NOTES 4/20/09 by TJ Hart

12:05 a.m.

I am chasing down information received at 11:48 pm by phone Sunday referencing a possible BOLO alert for Ron Cummings Sr. who is the father of missing 5-year-old Satsuma girl, Haleigh Cummings.

I was tipped by an informant, who shall be refered to as "Digs," in Putnam County, FL that a 911 call was made between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. stating that the father, Ronald Cummings Sr. sent his 4 year-old son, Ron Jr., to the door of his former girlfriend, Amber, in an attempt to lure the child he and Amber produced to come outside.

The information received from my informant also stated that a tall, thin male was also present near Ron Jr.

Our sources says that this was an attempt by Ron to take this child.

It’s been reported that Ronald Cummings Sr. is now behind in his support for that child.

9:35 a.m.

Contact was made with Lt. Johnny Greenwood to verify a BOLO (be on the lookout) for Ronald Cummings Sr. regarding a 911 call Sunday, April 19, at about 9:20 p.m.. The call allegedly from Amber Brooks where sources claim Ron tried to use his son, Ron Jr., to lure the child of Ron and Amber to the door in order to take him.

Lt. Greenwood said he could not verify that action and told me it was the first he'd heard of it.

Greenwood was then asked about Amber Brooks and Christina Rene Prevatt (a.k.a. Nay Nay) being arrested on drug charges. He confirmed the arrests and bookings.

Amber Brooks (DOB 3-29-89) was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine, introduction of contraband into a detention facility and failure to appear. Her bond is set at $2512. Booking time 8:04 a.m. ET.

Prevatt is the woman who introduced Misty Croslin-Cummings to Greg Page for a weekend of drugs and sex the weekend before Haleigh Cummings was taken from her Satsuma home. Misty was the last person to see Haleigh before she was abducted.

I visited the Haleigh Bug headquarters late Saturday afternoon on my way back from a conference in Jacksonville, FL earlier in the day.

The purple, one-story Haleigh Bug building is located at 1185 U.S. 17 in Satsuma. It's named for the nickname used for missing Haleigh Cummings.

It was there I visited with Haleigh's mother, Crystal Sheffield. Ms. Sheffield had just returned to the area that day before after taking some time to recouperate in Baker County from a small series of seizures.

Crystal appeared to be very tired and her skin appeared to have a grey to yellowish tint, but her resolve to find her daughter remained undetered.

Crystal did not elaborate, but she said she had received some tips on her MySpace page regarding a possible sighting of Haleigh in another state. She told me she passed that information on to law enforcement and her attorney, Kim Picazzio.

If it was possible to witness a person looking both hopeful and sad at the same time, I think I saw it Saturday in Crystal's face when she told me about the possible sighting. I could tell she felt optimistic about the thought her child is still alive, but also cautious since so many sighting have turned out to be false.

Someone is at the Haleigh Bugheadquarters, 24 hours a day to take calls and tips regarding the search for Haleigh Cummings.

Haleigh Cummings has not been seen since the night of February 9 when her father's then girlfriend, Misty Croslin, put her to bed.

Haleigh Cummings Case Party Girls Busted! Ronald Cummings, BOLO??

In a dramatic new twist in the case of missing Haleigh Cummings, two young women with close ties to the father of the missing five year old, Ronald, and his new bride, Misty Cummings, were arrested and booked Monday morning into the Putnam County Jail on charges of cocaine possession.

Amber Nicole Brooks, 20, of Palatka, Florida, the mother of Cummings’ 20-month old son, Jordan, was arrested by Putnam County sheriffs deputies, booked into jail at 8:04 a.m. and charged with cocaine possession, smuggling “contraband” into a detention facility and failing to appear for another outstanding warrant.

Bond was set at $2,512.00 for the three felony charges, according to the Putnam County Jail log.

Also arrested and booked (at 8:39 a.m.): Kristina Renee Prevatt, 18, aka “Nay Nay,” the party pal of Misty Cummings who in an exclusive upcoming interview at artharris.com describes a wild, three day party of sex, drugs and drinking with Misty the weekend before the 17 year old babysitter reported Haleigh missing on Feb. 10. Misty, who has since married Ronald, is said to be the last person who saw Haleigh.

On Monday, Prevatt was charged with possession of cocaine and trying to smuggle contraband into a detention facility, records show. Her bond was set at $2008.00.

In our interview, she tells me she introduced Misty and Greg Page, aka White Boy Greg, and drove them around for two days. She also says Misty claimed Ronald had physically abused her when she told him she was pregnant, and that lead to her party girl revenge. Nay Nay says she doubts Misty was telling the truth.

She also says Amber Brooks borrowed her car recently, and got it stuck in the mud, reportedly running from a man with a machete. She says Misty still had clothes in her trunk from that lost weekend, but they have since been removed.

Prevatt describes this and more in our exclusive television interview between her and pro bono private investigator and bounty hunter William Staubs, aka “Cobra,” who is expected back in Satsuma late Monday.

As for Amber Brooks, in a recent exclusive interview with The Bald Truth, she tells me she once lived with Ronald and took care of Haleigh and her little brother, Junior, before their son, Jordan, was born, then split with Cummings who she said has paid no child support, and raised their son as a single mother.

With a previous drug arrest on the books, Brooks has been struggling to raise their son, who has been quietly cared for by her grandmother in Palatka, but Jordan’s future may be up in the air after a surprise visit by Ronald Cummings Sunday.

Indeed, just before 10 p.m. Sunday night, April 19, according to a 911 call my source heard on a police scanner, Brooks’ grandmother called the Putnam County Sheriff’s dispatcher to report Cummings had pulled up outside her house in his purple Nissan Ultima and sent Haleigh’s little brother, Junior, to her door to ask for his little brother, Jordan.

When the grandmother refused, she told police, a black man who was apparently with Cummings appeared and asked for the child. That’s when my source says he heard the grandmother tell 911 she locked the door and called police, who confirmed the incident, including a BOLO (be on the lookout) for Cummings and a police cruiser that was dispatched.

“That’s how I understand it went down,” said PCSD Captain Dick Schauland in a phone interview with The Bald Truth.

Lt. Johnny Greenwood, also a PCSD spokesman, confirmed the arrests of Prevatt and Brooks. He said both had been cooperative in previous interviews with task force detectives when questioned about Haleigh’s kidnapping, but saw no connection with that case and the arrests.

“I don’t know how investigators may want to talk to them. I know they’ve talked to them already…and they’ve been cooperative the whole time,” Lt. Greenwood tells me. “Usually, charges like that might be used as leverage, but in this case they’ve already been cooperative.”

Cooperative or not, one investigator on the case told me Monday the task force would explore whether the cocaine arrests might be still be used to “squeeze” the women for any undisclosed information that might help move the stalled case forward.

“We’re waiting on that one tip to come in. Somebody knows something,” Lt. Greenwood tells me. “Somebody out there knows what happened. It’s just gonna take them slipping up and telling somebody, or somebody hears something. That’s all it’s going to take, one tip.”

In our exclusive interview with Prevatt, Nay Nay, as everyone calls her, says she picked Misty up after a fight with Ronald mid-week before Haleigh vanished, drove her to meet Page, and off they went on their party girl weekend—and had a surprise encounter with Brooks. Her account dovetails with what Page, or “White Boy Greg” as he’s called on the street, told us in his exclusive sit down.

Both describe Page’s brief romantic hook up with Misty, and her physical altercation with Amber Brooks at a party where witnesses tell me the cat-fighting women had to be physically pulled apart.

While Amber tells me Ronald Cummings rarely saw their son, friends say Brooks remains bitter that Misty moved in with her ex, and may have been angling to take away her son. Investigators theorize a number of dynamics at play, including a Misty who may have been jealous of the women who had previously had children by her main man.

Kim Picazio, lawyer for Crystal Sheffield, tells me Brooks described to her how Cummings would “smack” his son, Junior, causing nose bleeds —a similar account Brooks told me as well — but a police source says Amber also praised Ronald as a fine father who did not abuse the kids in a recent interview with the task force.

“She tells people what she thinks they want to hear,” said a lead investigator in the stalled missing child case.

In an exclusive interview, the task force official who asked that his name not be used, tells me investigators on the Haleigh case would be exploring any conflicts between the bit players in this twisted epic of Jerry Springer proporations, in an attempt to learn more from the two women about Haleigh’s disappearance than previously shared under police questioning.

Sources tell me sheriff’s investigators interviewed Brooks last week after she also met with investigators for Putnam County Department of Family Services who questioned her about Ronald Cummings alleged abuse–charges leveled by Haleigh’s mother, Crystal Sheffield, who is trying to regain custody of their son, Junior.

Through his attorneys, Ronald Cummings has denied any physical abuse towards the children, and maintains he’s the better parent by a longshot.

DFS has previously investigated Cummings and reportedly found his use of physical punishment within the acceptable bounds of parental discipline.

That's what I wonder. There are few (to no) 1 y/o's going to answer the door, let alone go outside w/his brother. Since I have CRS, exactly what is the nature of the 1 y/o's disability?

I had a little trouble following the article. So, Amber and nay-nay were arrested early that same day that Ron Cummings Jr tried to get his baby brother to come out of the house during the evening? And Amber was home in time to be the one to answer the door? (I am assuming she is the one who answered the door. And that she was able to either post bond or pay the fine.)

What's the matter? Why doesn't Ronald Cummings Sr go thru the courts to get legal custody of his second son--after all, isn't that how he got custody of Haleigh and Jr? Is he afraid circumstances have changed enough that he wouldn't get custody of this one? Good move, to take a baby from his mom so a 17 y/o can be in charge of him. Perhaps let the 17 y/o grow up a bit (okay, a LOT) before entrusting her with another of his children. If he did do this, I would be sure any judge in a custody hearing relating to JR--well, to ANY of his children--would be advised of the wise decisions Ron Sr made about trying to gain (illegal) custody of the youngest.

Here's the problem with them locking up their criminals Errin. First of all, most likely nearly a third of the town is criminal informants. So they can't lock them up or they wouldn't be able to make those big drug busts. Secondly, probably a good one half of the town or better are criminals. So they just keep doing deals with them to keep them out of jail. Now they have more informants. So now you have a large part of a small community that is either informants or criminal informants in a very poor community that can't handle the problems of what they would do with all those children if they locked away all the criminals.

Not to mention that they normally can't catch the criminals being criminals because everyone knows everyone else and an outsider sticks out like a sore thumb. Including the undercover guys. Haleigh Cummings Case Party Girls Busted! Ronald Cummings, BOLO??

In a dramatic new twist in the case of missing Haleigh Cummings, two young women with close ties to the father of the missing five year old, Ronald, and his new bride, Misty Cummings, were arrested and booked Monday morning into the Putnam County Jail on charges of cocaine possession.

Amber Nicole Brooks, 20, of Palatka, Florida, the mother of Cummings’ 20-month old son, Jordan, was arrested by Putnam County sheriffs deputies, booked into jail at 8:04 a.m. and charged with cocaine possession, smuggling “contraband” into a detention facility and failing to appear for another outstanding warrant.

Bond was set at $2,512.00 for the three felony charges, according to the Putnam County Jail log.

Also arrested and booked (at 8:39 a.m.): Kristina Renee Prevatt, 18, aka “Nay Nay,” the party pal of Misty Cummings who in an exclusive upcoming interview at artharris.com describes a wild, three day party of sex, drugs and drinking with Misty the weekend before the 17 year old babysitter reported Haleigh missing on Feb. 10. Misty, who has since married Ronald, is said to be the last person who saw Haleigh.

On Monday, Prevatt was charged with possession of cocaine and trying to smuggle contraband into a detention facility, records show. Her bond was set at $2008.00.

In our interview, she tells me she introduced Misty and Greg Page, aka White Boy Greg, and drove them around for two days. She also says Misty claimed Ronald had physically abused her when she told him she was pregnant, and that lead to her party girl revenge. Nay Nay says she doubts Misty was telling the truth.

She also says Amber Brooks borrowed her car recently, and got it stuck in the mud, reportedly running from a man with a machete. She says Misty still had clothes in her trunk from that lost weekend, but they have since been removed.

Prevatt describes this and more in our exclusive television interview between her and pro bono private investigator and bounty hunter William Staubs, aka “Cobra,” who is expected back in Satsuma late Monday.

As for Amber Brooks, in a recent exclusive interview with The Bald Truth, she tells me she once lived with Ronald and took care of Haleigh and her little brother, Junior, before their son, Jordan, was born, then split with Cummings who she said has paid no child support, and raised their son as a single mother.

With a previous drug arrest on the books, Brooks has been struggling to raise their son, who has been quietly cared for by her grandmother in Palatka, but Jordan’s future may be up in the air after a surprise visit by Ronald Cummings Sunday.

Indeed, just before 10 p.m. Sunday night, April 19, according to a 911 call my source heard on a police scanner, Brooks’ grandmother called the Putnam County Sheriff’s dispatcher to report Cummings had pulled up outside her house in his purple Nissan Ultima and sent Haleigh’s little brother, Junior, to her door to ask for his little brother, Jordan.

When the grandmother refused, she told police, a black man who was apparently with Cummings appeared and asked for the child. That’s when my source says he heard the grandmother tell 911 she locked the door and called police, who confirmed the incident, including a BOLO (be on the lookout) for Cummings and a police cruiser that was dispatched.

“That’s how I understand it went down,” said PCSD Captain Dick Schauland in a phone interview with The Bald Truth.

Lt. Johnny Greenwood, also a PCSD spokesman, confirmed the arrests of Prevatt and Brooks. He said both had been cooperative in previous interviews with task force detectives when questioned about Haleigh’s kidnapping, but saw no connection with that case and the arrests.

“I don’t know how investigators may want to talk to them. I know they’ve talked to them already…and they’ve been cooperative the whole time,” Lt. Greenwood tells me. “Usually, charges like that might be used as leverage, but in this case they’ve already been cooperative.”

Cooperative or not, one investigator on the case told me Monday the task force would explore whether the cocaine arrests might be still be used to “squeeze” the women for any undisclosed information that might help move the stalled case forward.

“We’re waiting on that one tip to come in. Somebody knows something,” Lt. Greenwood tells me. “Somebody out there knows what happened. It’s just gonna take them slipping up and telling somebody, or somebody hears something. That’s all it’s going to take, one tip.”

In our exclusive interview with Prevatt, Nay Nay, as everyone calls her, says she picked Misty up after a fight with Ronald mid-week before Haleigh vanished, drove her to meet Page, and off they went on their party girl weekend—and had a surprise encounter with Brooks. Her account dovetails with what Page, or “White Boy Greg” as he’s called on the street, told us in his exclusive sit down.

Both describe Page’s brief romantic hook up with Misty, and her physical altercation with Amber Brooks at a party where witnesses tell me the cat-fighting women had to be physically pulled apart.

While Amber tells me Ronald Cummings rarely saw their son, friends say Brooks remains bitter that Misty moved in with her ex, and may have been angling to take away her son. Investigators theorize a number of dynamics at play, including a Misty who may have been jealous of the women who had previously had children by her main man.

Kim Picazio, lawyer for Crystal Sheffield, tells me Brooks described to her how Cummings would “smack” his son, Junior, causing nose bleeds —a similar account Brooks told me as well — but a police source says Amber also praised Ronald as a fine father who did not abuse the kids in a recent interview with the task force.

“She tells people what she thinks they want to hear,” said a lead investigator in the stalled missing child case.

In an exclusive interview, the task force official who asked that his name not be used, tells me investigators on the Haleigh case would be exploring any conflicts between the bit players in this twisted epic of Jerry Springer proporations, in an attempt to learn more from the two women about Haleigh’s disappearance than previously shared under police questioning.

Sources tell me sheriff’s investigators interviewed Brooks last week after she also met with investigators for Putnam County Department of Family Services who questioned her about Ronald Cummings alleged abuse–charges leveled by Haleigh’s mother, Crystal Sheffield, who is trying to regain custody of their son, Junior.

Through his attorneys, Ronald Cummings has denied any physical abuse towards the children, and maintains he’s the better parent by a longshot.

DFS has previously investigated Cummings and reportedly found his use of physical punishment within the acceptable bounds of parental discipline.

Never say never! I think a few states have already enacted laws that make it illegal to ingest illegal drugs during pregnancy, and since charges for endangerment can be brought for giving birth to addicted babies, legislatures might as well take the next obvious step. The premise depends to a degree on whether or not a particular state considers a fetus a living being.

We had one here where the baby died shortly after birth. The girl was brought up on charges and they threw the case out even though the drs. said it was the direct result of the mother's drug abuse.

i believe here that if the mother shows signs of being an abuser before the baby is born then they automatically will drug test that infant immediately after birth and if it tests positive for ANY illegal substance then i am pretty sure they take the child right there at the hospital and call CPS.

We test babies of known or suspected drug users (such as, CPS is already involved w/the family and has reason to believe there was drug use.) Most of the babies go home w/their mommas, tho. But, they have CPS on their tails. I should say, except for some of the babies in NBICU who are around for a week or so, I have no idea whether or not the babies being tested showed positive results, and for what. Those that are regular stay (24-48 hrs) go home w/moms because it takes some time for the results to return to the dr.

Jr. has a heart murmur, don't know how serious a murmur it is, and Jordan, ( Amber's son by Ron), has a soft skull. I sort of take that to mean that he still has the soft spot on the top of his head. At least that is my understanding of the situation with Junior and Jordan.

Fontanels don't usually close until about 2 or as late as 3 in some children. Seeing as Jordan is only 20 months I don't take this to be serious if this is the only problem that he has.

There are at least six and they close at different ages. Early or late closure can be symptomatic of several things. That I do know. What I don't know is what I was reading the other day that indicated that the final closing can be in young adulthood. :shrug:

The parents do not in any way meet the criteria of being a parent. Most of the kids are raising themselves. Drugs are a big issue as well. It is heart breaking.

Sad, sad state of affairs. I'm all for involuntary sterilization as a preventive measure in some cases. From what I can tell, Ron has no means of support for the children that he already has. A little 9 nine year old girl from lower MI, Genessee County was found dead in a storage unit and autopsy results are pending, she was reported missing three weeks ago, relatives said she had gone off with a another relative. Mommy is jail and now it looks like she will be charged with felony murder and welfare fraud, another innocent child brought into this world by a crack head who had the kid just for the check. I am amazed honeypie ain't pregnant with Ronrage's baby, maybe because they have been living apart, does anyone know where they or she is living??? Exclusive: BOLO For Haleigh Cummings’ Dad?

It was Sunday night about 10 p.m. when a frightened grandmother called the Putnam County Sheriff. Mary Brooks, 63, had just spotted the father of missing five year old Haleigh Cummings cruising through her parking lot in his purple Nissan Altima with tinted windows.

“You know Ronald Cummings, whose daughter is missing?” Mary Brooks asked the dispatcher on the exclusive police audio tape obtained by The Bald Truth.

“Yes, Ma’am,” replied the officer.

“He was driving through my parking lot tonight,” explained the grandmother of Amber Brooks, an ex- Cummings girlfriend who gave birth to his disabled son, Jordan.

“I have custody of his son he claimed he didn’t have (on national TV when Cummings mentioned he only had two children); he’s one year old and I’m very leary about that,” Mary Brooks went on. “(Ronald) and his new wife (Misty)…drove through here, and about an hour later, some guy come knocking on my door, and I didn’t answer it.”

Tipped to the incident Sunday night by William Staubs, a tireless bounty hunter and private eye nicknamed “Cobra” who is working pro bono on the Haleigh Cummings mystery, I called police, then a source who said he’d earlier told Cobra he’d heard over a police scanner that Cummings’ son, Junior, had knocked on the grandmother’s door, asking to see his brother. The source is a local preacher who monitors police radio traffic and has been reliable in the past.

Only the Junior incident never happened, I can now report. It’s not on the police audio tape I obtained, and, while authorities are checking the radio traffic, Mary Brooks tells me, in an exclusive interview Wednesday, she never saw Junior.

“I wish I had seen him, I miss that little rascal,” said Amber’s grandmother, Mary recalls putting out crayons and coloring books for Haleigh and her little brother, Junior. Amber and Ronald would bring them to visit, she said, when Amber was pregnant with Jordan and living with Cummings. “She watched Haleigh and Junior all the time.”

But on Sunday night, she said, there was no reason for Cummings to be in her ‘hood, she figured–except one: She feared he might be trying to take the toddler he’d fathered with Amber. Jordan has been staying with her.

With no legal custody order in place, Cummings would be well within his rights to demand she hand over the child, as the biological father, say family law experts, even though Amber Brooks claims her ex has seen little of the child since they split, and pays no child support.

In our interview, Mary Brooks told me that she’s been caring for the baby for several months after Amber tumbled into an abyss of drugs and partying.

Indeed, Amber was arrested Monday and charged with cocaine possession, along with Misty Cummings party friend Kristina Prevatt; her grandmother tells me she dropped by to visit Monday night after Cobra bonded the women out of Putnam County jail and treated them to a chicken dinner. Mary says she begged her grandchild to go to rehab “to get her life straight, but she didn’t want none of it,” says Brooks.

In a recent interview, Prevatt told me she’d run into Amber while chauffeuring Misty Cummings on her weekend of drugs, sex and rock and roll with “White Boy Greg” Page. According to police and interviews I’ve done with her and other friends, it was a party that ended 36 hours before Misty reported Haleigh had vanished from the trailer the 17 year old babysitter shared with Ronald.

Witnesses tell me Misty and Amber nearly came to blows at a party that weekend, with Amber smarting that Misty had not only stolen her ex, but concerned she was threatening to take her son, Jordan.

According to her grandmother, Amber had few role models, and dropped out of high school. Mary had legal custody for a year when Amber was 12 “because her mother had drug problems. Amber is following in her mother’s footsteps,” says Mary.

Amber was born when her own mother was 19. “She wasn’t the mothering type,” says Mary who counts four children and several grandchildren, including Amber’s little brother, Dawson, age 8. “I think all my kids would tell you they had it good growing up,” says Mary, who moved from New Jersey to Palatka with her husband years ago.

When Amber lived with Ronald, she got to see Haleigh and Junior when they’d visit. “They’d come by every couple of weeks,” she says. “His kids are adorable. Junior is a sweetheart, but he told me Haleigh was his favorite. You could tell.”

As for discipline, she once saw him spank Junior when he was sucking his thumb at two years old, she says. “I don’t believe in that. He was crying, so I picked him up and sat on the couch. Why beat a child for sucking his thumb? But I never seen him rip ‘em up and throw ‘em or anything drastic.”

Calls to Cummings’ mother, Teresa Neves, and his lawyers, asking for comment, were not returned by press time.

When Amber left the baby with her grandmother when Jordan was three or four months old, Mary Brooks says she got a call from Ronald. “He said, ‘I want to see the baby. So he came over and took the baby. The next day he was back at my house with Jordan and all his things.” She says that was his father’s last visit.

To complicate matters, Jordan was born with a genetic disorder called Microcephaly, where the head is smaller than normal from abnormal brain growth. It’s associated with Down’s syndrome, according to medical texts, and can be caused by a variety of factors, including, if during pregnancy the mother abused drugs or alcohol, was exposed to toxic chemicals or other diseases. She worries about Jordan.

“He’s very hot-tempered,” says Mary, “has fits and cries and screams, but to me, he’s very smart. I’m just worried about him later.”

She was also worried when a man knocked on her door Sunday night, an hour after Cummings did his drive by. Mary Brooks says she told police she feared he was sent by Ronald to take Jordan, who she adores and draws a small government check for his disability.

On the police tape we obtained, Brooks can be heard saying she “peeked out my peep hole” and saw a “thin, black guy, maybe a friend of (Ronald’s). He does not need to be here, claiming, you know, bothering me about the baby he said he didn’t have.”

The “baby he didn’t have” is a reference to Cummings statement when Haleigh went missing, saying he only had two children, says Brooks. “He didn’t mention Jordan.”

On the tape, the dispatcher asks, “When he came through, did he stop at all or drive through?”

“He just cruised through and my daughter was coming through and they passed each other, and she (saw) his new wife…I’m the great grandmother, and I have custody of the baby and I’m very upset…”

“OK, I’m going to get an officer out there,” says the dispatcher. “If he comes back, just call me back and don’t open the door.”

“Thank you,” said Brooks.

When officers drove through the neighborhood looking for Cummings, they didn’t see his car, but did interview Brooks. No report was filed because there was no evidence a crime had been committed, Palatka police officials told me. But Brooks tells me she followed up with a visit to police headquarters Tuesday and asked an officer to to fill out an incident report.

I can spot a meth user/addict from a mile away - loss of teeth, sores on face, thin hair, and appearing to be 20 to 30 years older than you actually are. A little off topic here but I think that meth is a problem everywhere.

The thing with this particular community is that it has went so long without proper LE in place that it will likely take years to get half of the mess cleaned up. The "good ole boy" network is alive and well in Satsuma.

I believe that Haleigh is gone from us. I believe that it happened before Ron ever left for work. I believe that Misti knows what happened. I will continue to believe this until they find her alive.

I believe that Ron knows exactly where she is and I believe that he was thinking of trying to get Jordan for some reason. I am glad that he didn't.

I too, believe that Haleigh is gone, unfortunately. I think that Misty knows what happened and I tend to think she was out and about when it occured. But who knows. These low bottom feeders don't know the truth if it hits them in the head, they all do drugs and are really crappy!!! I run into some bad situations but nothing as bad as what is portrayed here. I wonder why early intervention was not involved with these children if indeed there are disabilities. Also wondering how Amber and Nay Nay came to be arrested; have I missed the details somewhere? The went first thing to the SO (for what? a visit? to be interviewed?) And just happened to be holding?

I haven't seen the exact details but I do know that if you look on Art's site it gives their booking time as 8:30 to 8:40 in the morning so that would lead me to believe that they were arrested earlier in the morning. More than likely within a couple of hours of the booking time.

The contraband charge most likely comes because one of them was holding something that was brought in with them. That could have been anything from a lighter to actual pills or drugs of some sort that they didn't tell the officers that they had, that was found when they did the search. If they didn't have a female deputy on the streets at the time, they could have waited until they got them back to the jail to do the search and that would explain the contraband charge as well.

While most of the people involved have a history of being violent with each other they don't have a history of being violent with LE and most drug users know that they really don't want to be violent with LE because that only causes them more problems.

There has also been some question as to whether or not Ron might have planted stuff on them and then called in a tip to LE but I find that unlikely. More than likely cops have just been watching them harder because of the interview with Whiteboy Greg. LE now knows who is doing what in the group because of the interviews that some people are doing.

For her to have actually been on scene at the Cummings trailer with her arch-nemesis Misty is every bit as insane as WBG having been there. Of course, it was probably a forgone conclusion that Misty would be crashed after her weekend of debauchery.

I believe that they do know something. The problem is that someone has to speak " their language" so to speak to understand what it is that they do know. I know that Mr. Straub aka Cobra didn't post their bail because he isn't a bondsman. Which he would have to be in order to throw their bond. I also believe that he doesn't have the cash needed to bail them out so therefore someone else paid the bill he just picked them up and fed them a meal.

I do think that LE needs to come clean about what they have. May 10 will be 4 months that Haleigh has been missing and that is way to long. They were good up until about the 3rd week that she was gone, and then nothing. They need to tell people what they suspect. They need to release all the evidence that they have so people that are involved in Haleigh's life can figure out who took her and pressure that person or persons to tell where they put her.

LE won't solve this one in my opinion. This one is going to be solved by the people that love and care about Haleigh finding out who took her and what was done with her and then informing LE of what they know. I think that a good place to start would be with Misti and she needs a blanket party in the worse of ways until she either admits straight up that she wasn't in the trailer at the time Haleigh went missing or tells the truth about what happened to Haleigh.

Art stated that the person that he got the information about the 911 call from had been up to that point a very creditable source. They think that the Jr thing was just a misunderstanding with competing voice traffic over the scanner and that the person got 2 calls mixed together.

It is my understanding that Cobra is a bounty hunter and not a bondsman himself. He works for All Out Bail Bonds Fort Myers Florida, and he also does some private work for himself. I can't find any record of him being an actual bondsman.

Those seem like pretty reliable sources. Is there some sort of issue about Cobra being a bondsman?

That is interesting about the scanner traffic; on mine you only hear one channel at once (and you can see which channel/LE agency is transmitting), but if there is a long enough break it traffic, it will scan to the next transmission. Of course, I'm such a yenta that when I hear something interesting, I lock in that channel so I won't miss anything. That said, I'm thinking that the scanner in that neck of the woods never stops. Sounds like a pretty lawless area!

ETA: Glad Junior wasn't involved. Was wondering how the heck a four year old lures a little one.

You can pretty much take anything David Lohr says to the bank. My aunt called me Sunday. She lives in Passaic NJ and a three year old child that lived in the same hood as she does was taken by her beloved uncle presumably to get something to eat, but he made a strange statement to other family members that "they should tune into Channel three in a little while" He raped the girl and then threw her body into a deep river, but her body floated to the bank and my aunt is hearing all of this on the scanner and realizes that girl lives but a block away from her and the uncle apparently is either dead from a suicide or he is in the wind, they found his truck down by the river and Passaic has changed so much since I lived there in the early 60's. It was an Italian and Irish city, summer days you could hear "Old Blue Eyes" or Paddy O'Donnell on radios and when I went back after 40 years in 07, it is now pretty much Spanish and the crime wave is very high, murders happen every day there now and my aunt has no less than 4 locks on her doors, panic bars on her windows as she has been ripped off at least three times in the last years and she hates living where she does, but it is all she can afford and she has lived there for 19 years after selling her big house after my uncle passed and she has lived there all of her 85 years! The uncle is from the Dominican Republic and they are on alert if he tries to go home, but he could easily be hiding out, Passiac is a big city. My point is this. Most children are harmed by their own family members more so than strangers, but what gave me pause is, the SO's living in that area and that is why I was thinking early on it was probably a SO who watched the family, maybe peeked in the window to see the layout of the home, Couey staked out the Lunsford home, that is how he knew which bedroom was Jessie's, but now I am really focusing on Misti and LE needs to get her in a room and hammer at her for hours, I am thinking that if they think it was not a stranger, then they have to be thinking MISTI!

Why does it not surprise me to IS banned people for speaking their mind about this trash and I am waiting to hear on Jane some hot news that LE has come to the conclusion that this was not a stranger abduction? I have thought all along that it was a SO or wanna be who saw the opportunity and grabbed her, however as much as I think Crystal is a loser too, you would have to be to hook up with Ronface and have kids by him as well, I am leaning toward agreeing with her because she does not believe that a stranger took her, gives credence to her claims and I now am going to stand firm that Misti got rid of her in some fashion, I do not recall whether, what was it the Granny that stopped by earlier that evening or so other kinfolk and Haleigh was alive then but what after they left and maybe Haleigh was acting up again and maybe she clocked the child and killed her, got in the family car and tossed her somewhere that she might know like Casey did and she has been lying through her tooth the entire time, thinking only of herself and what gets me is both of those doors, the screen and the interior both make a lot of noise opening or shutting and we really do not know whether she passed those two polygraphs, we only have her say so.

How I am explaining JR's account, I think that Greg guy was there and that is who he saw, and the couch moving, think they were doing the nasty and Haleigh came out of the bedroom at that moment and after he left something went down where I think she killed Haleigh. My aunt called me Sunday. She lives in Passaic NJ and a three year old child that lived in the same hood as she does was taken by her beloved uncle presumably to get something to eat, but he made a strange statement to other family members that "they should tune into Channel three in a little while" He raped the girl and then threw her body into a deep river, but her body floated to the bank and my aunt is hearing all of this on the scanner and realizes that girl lives but a block away from her and the uncle apparently is either dead from a suicide or he is in the wind, they found his truck down by the river and Passaic has changed so much since I lived there in the early 60's. It was an Italian and Irish city, summer days you could hear "Old Blue Eyes" or Paddy O'Donnell on radios and when I went back after 40 years in 07, it is now pretty much Spanish and the crime wave is very high, murders happen every day there now and my aunt has no less than 4 locks on her doors, panic bars on her windows as she has been ripped off at least three times in the last years and she hates living where she does, but it is all she can afford and she has lived there for 19 years after selling her big house after my uncle passed and she has lived there all of her 85 years! The uncle is from the Dominican Republic and they are on alert if he tries to go home, but he could easily be hiding out, Passiac is a big city. My point is this. Most children are harmed by their own family members more so than strangers, but what gave me pause is, the SO's living in that area and that is why I was thinking early on it was probably a SO who watched the family, maybe peeked in the window to see the layout of the home, Couey staked out the Lunsford home, that is how he knew which bedroom was Jessie's, but now I am really focusing on Misti and LE needs to get her in a room and hammer at her for hours, I am thinking that if they think it was not a stranger, then they have to be thinking MISTI!

She doesn't work for Putnam County would be my only guess. She works for Alachu County as a dispatcher. At least that is how I think that you spell it. It is the next county over.

This woman can't string two sentences together without using bad grammar so I can just guess that radio protocol is not the same as I was used to, probably it goes like this. Ronnie and Misti abused those kids and their stories about "disciplining the children according to Child & Family Services recommendations---that spanking was OK" (also a bunch of BS). Another thing that I questioned about the statements that this so called lead detective was making....he originally said Pamela Smart, ( the teacher that is doing time for conspiring with one of her students for killing her husband0, and the length of time that Smart girl was missing.

If this is the bed that Putnam County has to offer, he can't manage to keep his facts straight, then Haleigh will never be found.

I like reading Art Harris, mainly because he's about the only game in town when it comes to Haleigh news, and let's face it, if this soap opera wasn't going on, we'd never hear anything to remind us about this girl. Is that what LE wants? For us to forget? Sometimes I wonder, because it's hard to believe that they can't get more information from the star of this drama.

That said, I have trouble understanding AH's use of pronouns sometimes, and wonder exactly what her means or who he's talking about. I find it hard to believe that he is actually an award winning journalist, but hey my jerkwater town newspaper wins awards too. I could barely makes heads or tails of the story about Hankie's attempted murder rant at Cummings. (And I think a lot of the comments at The Bald Truth must be from locals; they seem drug induced.)

So Misty has an attorney after all this time. We don't have any indication that she has been requested to show up for anymore interviews with LE. Cannot wait to find out who the ambulance chaser is! Sure wish someone would talk her into (or order her) to have a sit down with a forensic psychiatrist to try to put together a timeline for this crime.

Well, you and I think an awful lot alike (especially considering Misty's brainpower!). For one, Cummings nor Mother Teresa (can't remember who actually took Haleigh to the ER) may not or would not have known what was up, so of course if her symptoms were bad enough they would have her see the doctor. OR if there was really a nefarious plan to get rid of Haleigh, maybe whoever was responsible thought that because of her overall health condition, she wouldn't survive the bout of extreme gastroenteritis. And of course, to take her to the doctor/hospital/ER always looks like the right thing to do no matter what.

Believe me, it has occurred to me that Haleigh might not be as valuable to Ron as Junior for example. I mean she's only a girl, and she can't have a litter of children beginning before she's even emancipated. I like reading Art Harris, mainly because he's about the only game in town when it comes to Haleigh news, and let's face it, if this soap opera wasn't going on, we'd never hear anything to remind us about this girl. Is that what LE wants? For us to forget? Sometimes I wonder, because it's hard to believe that they can't get more information from the star of this drama.

That said, I have trouble understanding AH's use of pronouns sometimes, and wonder exactly what her means or who he's talking about. So Misty has an attorney after all this time. We don't have any indication that she has been requested to show up for anymore interviews with LE. Cannot wait to find out who the ambulance chaser is! DrewBI would like to know that too. I have heard some Florida folks say that DFACs leaves a lot to be desired in FL. I hope I am wrong. I know that in Georgia these case workers have to have a BS degree and are in debt for these college loans and are working their tails off and getting furloughed and they are desperately trying to help these unfortunate kids., It is so sad. No arrests, suspects in Haleigh's disappearance

No arrests have been made in the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings and none are anticipated, a Putnam County Sheriff's Office spokesman said Tuesday.

The 5-year-old, blond-haired kindergartner was reported missing from her Satsuma home Feb. 10, prompting a massive search of South Putnam and an intensive criminal investigation involving local, state and federal agencies.

No suspects in the girl's disappearance have been identified by detectives, said Johnny Green-wood, a sheriff's lieutenant who serves as a spokesman for the department.

Speculation that an arrest had been made swept the community Tuesday.

Telephone calls from Haleigh's relatives, curious residents and the news media flooded the sheriff's office Tuesday afternoon, Greenwood said.

The trigger appeared to be a report from an Ocala radio station that linked a drug suspect's return to jail to the Haleigh case.

"They are unrelated," Greenwood said. "It's not linked to the Haleigh Cummings case."

The subject of the radio station's report was 18-year-old Kristina Renee Prevatt, who was arrested on a cocaine charge April 20 and bonded out of jail about 10 hours later by William Staubs, a bounty hunter and private investigator who says he is working on the Haleigh case.

Staubs returned Prevatt to jail Tuesday afternoon and invited T. J. Hart, program director of WSKY in Ocala, to come along.

Hart did a live broadcast from outside the county jail in Palatka reporting "a person of interest" was being "brought in."

Interviewed by telephone later, Hart said Prevatt "has been cited as a person of interest to the case by some people" he said were "other investigators."

Hart said he was specific with his report.

"We never used the word arrest," he said.

The report sparked a flurry of activity at the sheriff's office, Greenwood said.

"We've had all kinds of people calling down here," Greenwood said. "As soon as they made that comment, it just got crazy."

Staubs also bonded out 20-year-old Amber Brooks, who was arrested the same day as Prevatt on similar charges.

Hart said Staubs' efforts were made to help solve Haleigh's disappearance.

"He thought if he showed some mind of compassion and kindness he could get some information out of them," Hart said.

Staubs, 51, who calls himself "Cobra," has been accused of illegally detaining a Putnam County man who was free on bail on a sex abuse charge.

Last month, deputies say Staubs apprehended and handcuffed William Snodgrass, 55, who in 2007 was charged with capital sexual battery of a 9-year-old girl. Snodgrass was held for an hour, deputies added.

The allegation is being reviewed by local prosecutors.

Snodgrass is free on bail and under electronic supervision until his trial this summer.

Nearly 4,000 leads have been forwarded to investigators since Haleigh vanished, authorities say.

Misty Cummings told authorities she last saw Haleigh about 10 p.m. on Feb. 9 and the child's bed was empty when she awoke the next day about 3 a.m. At the time, she was dating Haleigh's father, Ronald. They have since married.

Both Ronald and Misty Cummings have been questioned repeatedly by investigators.

Recently, a high-ranking sheriff's official said detectives were unsatisfied with answers provided by Misty and declined to rule her out as a suspect.

Exclusive: Haleigh Cummings–Nay Nay Out of Jail!

The Bald Truth has learned just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, Christina Prevatt, aka Nay Nay, 18, ex- party girl chauffeur for Haleigh Cummings’ stepmother, Misty, was bonded out of the Putnam County Jail, again, on her original cocaine possession charges.

Only this time, it wasn’t bounty hunter Williams Staubs, aka Cobra, but Chuck’s Bail Bonds, according to attorney Kim Picazio, who has been trying to help the suicidal teenager struggling with drug addiction enroll in a rehab program.

She told The Bald Truth that she spoke to the Palatka, Florida outfit that took the gamble on Nay Nay, fresh off suicide watch, and says they declined to tell her who had put up the money for the bit player in the Haleigh Cummings mystery to go free, and likely go wild.

Her last get out of jail free card came from Staubs. Just before Cobra bonded her out Monday morning, task force detectives with the Putnam County Sheriff’s task force on the missing five year old, tell me they were interviewing Prevatt in jail, but learned nothing new.

Detectives hit her up again for information after Cobra put her back behind bars Tuesday for violating terms of her bond, but police sources say nothing new came up.

It was Prevatt who drove Misty on her weekend break with White Boy Greg Page, returning the day before Misty would report Haleigh missing.

“She’s been very cooperative with us,” Lt. Johnny Greenwood, the sheriff’s spokesman told me today. “She’s not a suspect or a person of interest, as some have wrongly reported, just someone who might know someone who knows something.”

Cobra tells me he’d bonded out Prevatt to cruise the Satsuma underbelly, along with Brooks, poking their heads into crack houses to see if they recognized anyone who might jog their memories and shake loose any information. Then he learned she’d tried to snatch her own child from temporary custody of her ex, and was threatening to kill herself, and put her back behind bars, this time on suicide watch.

Sources tell me a doctor ruled she was no longer a danger to herself, so could not be held under the mandatory 72 hour lockdown regulations.

Then Cobra got word Wednesday night, she was back on the street, and headed for the parking lot behind the Palatka Huddle House, where he says he found Prevatt standing by her new main man, a local ex-con named Jerome, out on his own $31,000 bond, records show, courtesy of, you guessed it, Chuck’s Bail Bonds.

“She didn’t look so good,” Cobra told me, who had lead the girl back to jail in tears and handcuffs a day earlier. “In fact, she looked so bad, she looked homesick for jail.”

With tensions mounting as he confronted Jerome, Cobra said he was glad he’d ordered his passengers to wear bullet proof vests; he shoved two pistols in his belt, ready for anything.

Later, I called Jerome. He picked up his cell phone. I asked to speak with Nay Nay.
“You the man who owes her money?” he asked.

“I don’t think so. Why, you think I owe her?”

“I think you owe me money,” he laughed. “Like five million dollars.”

I decided to ask how much he charged for the ladies. Cobra said he was bragging about having Nay Nay and Amber back under his roof.

“Who told you I do that?” he asked.

“That’s the word, Jerome,” I said.

I gotta agree, it seems like LE in FL is not on the ball like other states and the whole state has a very large SO population, there is no way in hell I would live there. I wish that Putnam would get right on her ass and not let her leave the station until she comes clean, what are they waiting for? The grand jury indited Casey without a body, surely they can do the same? I love it when they say they think Haleigh is alive? Well why not share with the public why you think this instead of keeping mum? She took the coward way out so I feel that honeypie here thought that saying somebody took her right out of the bedroom would be believable. Now if anyone tries to get into my house, my outside door sticks and is hard to open without making noise and my stairs creak too, I would know somebody was in my house for sure and if Haleigh was in that bedroom with her and someone comes in and takes the kid and she hears nothing? Her EXcellent panel seems to be in agreement with LE that this is not a stranger or SO abduction, but that the one unifying element tying all the players together is drugs, and that Haleigh may have been taken for revenge or in lieu ofa drug debt.

Probably a dumb question. But why was Haleigh taken instead of Junior? Anyone have any ideas? Wouldn't she be more of a risk (to keep alive) with her health issues in case the drug ransom is paid? After transcribing thousands of tapes to have ready for trial, I got so I could tell just by their voices, people were lying like rugs. Their voice pitch would go up octaves and the angry outbursts screaming their denials and I just knew that they were not telling the truth or the whole story and 9 times out of ten I was right, it is just a feeling you get after preparing tapes, ask any dispatcher that transcribes and they will tell you the same. I am glad they think it is not a stranger abduction, and how did they reach this conclusion and if so, why not tell the public?? Curtis Sliwa said something that stuck out, he thinks LE wants to arrest Misti, but they just don't have enough to go on at this point, no body is probably why she is still walking free and if Haleigh is dead, I want to see her found and she can get a proper burial instead of probably laying in a ditch somewhere or buried in a swamp, I can't imagine any of my godkids lying like that, maggots eating them away, sickening to think this, but we all know why the maggots were present in Casey's car.

They really racked up the charges on this fellow. Wonder if this document is going to look like Ron's @ some point--a lot of charges, but ending up with no convictions. Surely he has a pretty lengthy record, can't believe this would be his first ride on the merry go round.

I like reading Art Harris, mainly because he's about the only game in town when it comes to Haleigh news, and let's face it, if this soap opera wasn't going on, we'd never hear anything to remind us about this girl. Is that what LE wants? For us to forget? Sometimes I wonder, because it's hard to believe that they can't get more information from the star of this drama.

That said, I have trouble understanding AH's use of pronouns sometimes, and wonder exactly what her means or who he's talking about. I find it hard to believe that he is actually an award winning journalist, but hey my jerkwater town newspaper wins awards too. I could barely makes heads or tails of the story about Hankie's attempted murder rant at Cummings. (And I think a lot of the comments at The Bald Truth must be from locals; they seem drug induced.)

So Misty has an attorney after all this time. We don't have any indication that she has been requested to show up for anymore interviews with LE. Cannot wait to find out who the ambulance chaser is! Sure wish someone would talk her into (or order her) to have a sit down with a forensic psychiatrist to try to put together a timeline for this crime.

Nay Nay sounds like a trainwreck, and again I wonder what kind of valid information she can possibly give LE considering her condition. Why sweat her in jail when they could be doing the same to someone directly involved? No charges for the attempted child abduction? Not even endangering the welfare of a minor? And if she thinks she's going to die in jail, why didn't she have herself committed?

This whole county sounds like a bunch of idiots, sub-elementals, crooks, crunksters, pedophiles, lechers, etc.

You know, I am so curious about that E coli issue. Were there any other cases reported at the time? Anyone else in the family or at Haleigh's school? Or does she have digestive issues that make her more vulnerable?

Well, you and I think an awful lot alike (especially considering Misty's brainpower!). For one, Cummings nor Mother Teresa (can't remember who actually took Haleigh to the ER) may not or would not have known what was up, so of course if her symptoms were bad enough they would have her see the doctor. OR if there was really a nefarious plan to get rid of Haleigh, maybe whoever was responsible thought that because of her overall health condition, she wouldn't survive the bout of extreme gastroenteritis. And of course, to take her to the doctor/hospital/ER always looks like the right thing to do no matter what.

Believe me, it has occurred to me that Haleigh might not be as valuable to Ron as Junior for example. I mean she's only a girl, and she can't have a litter of children beginning before she's even emancipated. And something tells me that Misty would never consider the child of another woman to be anything other than an unpleasant reminder that her man is a manwh0re.
