The way I understood it was Jr. was in the living room watching a movie. Then when it was over, he came in the bedroom. Misty said in one interview, "he got in bed with US". This would have been about 10 or 10:30 as "Madagascar" runs about 2 hours.

Watching NG, but running a little behind. Something just stood out to me in the Art Harris video. Misty says that she put Haleigh to bed at 8pm and was doing the laundry, and that H had been asleep about thirty minutes when she covered her with the blanket. Then she made the bed and crawled in. But we've heard that she didn't go to bed until 10pm or so. That's a whole nuther story. Or does she mean that Haleigh went to bed at eight but didn't go to sleep for almost two hours? So much for it being a school night.

I had read in an article that accompanied a video of Ron (get the cameras out of my face) when he came out of the tat shop. It was said there that others in the shops said he did not mention getting his daughter back so much as he was talking about the money he was getting in relation to the disappearance. I have a question I just watched NG for last night on you-tube, I think Kim said that they are pretty sure of a time-line up till about 10-10:30, my question is how? Are they taking Misty's word for it? or do they have another witness that can confirm that everything was OK till about 10pm? Does anyone know?

also I just watched Misty's mom's interview on AH and ...wow... I was already confused with blankets, vans, beds, and movies, and now if possible I'm more confused, was that an attempt to clear things up? If so it failed!

I tho't Ron and the kids were staying w/his mom. Does this mean that TN has moved? Or, does it mean Ron and the kids moved out of her house some time ago, into the home Ms Glover now lives in? And then moved into a different home 3 weeks before Haleigh was abducted? If he and the kids were already in a house (home--wonder if it was a house or a mobile home?) wonder why Misti couldn't have moved into THAT house?

Lawsy, I don't even remember seeing Kim (you're talking about Crystal's attorney, right?) last night. Dick Shauland told Mike Brooks a while back that the last confirmed sighting of Haleigh was by the neighbors in the afternoon. Which kinda leaves GGM Sykes flapping in the breeze with her report that she went to check on them (why?) or drop off clothes in the evening. Haven't heard anything added to the timeline since then.

yes, that is all i learned too & i have told myself ,maybe wrongly, but not to listen to anymore who's sleeping in my bed fairy tale timelines, after the fourth story and whenever i hear something i say, did that come from misty...

Ron and Misty are playing this out in a very odd way. Ron says he wants Haleigh back so much that he would give all he owns. But it really doesn't seem sincere, as if it's an act. Misty comes through the same way. Just playing her part but she didn't rehearse her lines enough.

You could look at this and suspect that they harmed Haleigh and are doing a poor job of hiding their guilt. They say they are worried and concerned but are celebrating at the same time. Tattoo and a wedding. What's next? For murderers, they are sure carefree. They don't seem to fear going to prison.

Maybe this is a scheme to make money. Their families look as if they could use some for a change. Someone could be keeping Haleigh in a safe place. The plan might be that when enough money has been made from interviews, charitable gifts, magazine stories, etc., Haleigh will be released safe and sound. EAST PALATKA, Fla. - Walking into the Putnam County fair, one can't help but notice the bright lights and the wild rides.
But some are hoping fairgoers will also notice the smiling face on flyers hanging at the entrance gate.
On them is a picture of five-year-old Haleigh Cummings, the Satsuma kindergartner who was last seen at her family home February 9th.

"You need to keep it in everybody's minds and keep everybody diligent and looking and hopefully catch a break somewhere. Maybe somebody has seen something or will see something," said James White, who was at the fair Monday night with his grandchildren.

Haleigh's family friends are putting out the flyers.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office has a booth set up at the fair where they are handing out flyers and making sure people know they are available in case anyone wants to come forward with information about Haleigh's whereabouts.

"We hope that something will trigger their memories or they may have seen Haleigh or seen something that they believe is a tip and we can follow up on it and our whole objective is to bring Haleigh home to her parents," said Captain Dominic Piscitello, who is supervising the investigation.

Many people in the small community are hopeful Haleigh is out there and that with her picture shown, she may one day come home to a fun filled family night like others at the fair are experiencing.

"Hopefully she could still be out there, hopefully she still is out there and who knows if somebody has her when they might decide to bring her back into the open and it is important that people remember what she looks like," said Kathy Breed, who took her kids to the fair Monday night.

Haleigh's family friends say they will hand out flyers at the fair every night.

The 59th Annual Putnam County Fair is held at 117 Yelvington Road in East Palatka. It goes until March 28.

Something just isn't right. Someone somewhere knows something. I mean how does a little girl just disappear and nobody seen anything? What was said in a pp about gator land has me thinking. Everyone was so afraid that's what happened to Caylee. I hope nobody in this case got any ideas from watching the Caylee case. From what I have seen in this case the dad was at work and that was verified. I could see him and Misty coming up with that plan though. From how controlling Crystal claims he was I could see Misty listening to anything he told her to do. Everyone knows how much money the A's raked in. This was probably their plan to get some cash. Don Clark says that the questions about Haleigh's injuries aren't important because her disappearance is more important. So um if Ron has a history of corporal punishment crossing over to abuse, how is it NOT important? Isn't it possible that he overreacted and fatally injured Haleigh?

I took a peek at haleighbug.com right before I sat down to grab a bite and it damn near turned my stomach. Her webmaster needs to approve comments before they are posted. Thanks to you all you guys, I am alive, not feeling too well still, they ended up not being able to do the surgery, when they got in there I had such bad adhesions, a small beneign tumor and a really bad hernia. The repaired all but the hernia, and due in part, I can't have the gastric bypass but in a couple of weeks I can have the LAPP band put in and repair the hernia then. They knew going in I had a hernia, they just were not expecting the mess my guts were in! I spend three days, higher than anyone should have a right to be, but still in horrible pain I don't remember much except for the pain and it was so bad they gave me, God Bless one of those pain machines!!! I want one of them suckers at home!!! Instead of popping an Oxy, I can blast myself into happydom with one push!!! And that drug they give ya to relax ya Versaid? If everyone got up in the a.m. and did a hit of that, there would be no crime on this planet, damm, that stuff is sooo good!!!

Of course I am cursed with the worst veins, they practically turned me into a pin cushion before one nurse was able to bang me without me coming off the stretcher wanting to kill somebody, anyone here have the same problem? It is a wonder blood moves through mine. The minute they would try to hit me, the vein would either collapse or roll and that hurts like hell!!! Finally, they had to hit me where they normally draw blood from, veins are OK there, except when I got admitted into my room, I had to keep my arm, flat, and when you are in pain that is hard to do. They did not dare take it out and move it! SO I came home and just bascially have been sleeping the days away, everything hurts, yesterday, I managed to get off the couch amd clean a little, but did not feel up to sitting at the desk till today and kinda got caught up in this mess. I KNOW NOW that LE knows this useless twit was not home that night this child went missing and what is up with NG thinking Ronnie the Rager is father of the year???? I remember watching a bit the night of the surgery with my nurse who thinks these people are relatives of Satan himself, we both sat open mouthed while she just trashed Crystal to the point where as much as I don't care for her either, did not really deserve the blast ole Nancykins was whopping on her! Could NOT believe that Scummings' attorneys think that bouncing couch and other language that Junior used was too advanced for his age. First of all, we don't know what he actually told the professionals who interviewed him. Bouncing or bouncy is exactly what I would expect to hear from a three/four year old. Secondly, the manner in which Crystal approached Junior on Geraldo to elicit responses is not how trained professionals question young children, so I take that whole business with a grain of salt. It's just a shame that Crystal allowed him to be on camera. And the same can be said for Ron&Misty at the wedding.

If I was a taxpayer in Putnam County Florida, I'd be pissed. It makes sense that the sheriff doesn't want suspects looking for Haleigh, but hey, they have no suspects. If makes sense that they are concerned for the safety of volunteer searchers, but hey, this is their back yard and they're probably relatively familiar with the dangers of the wild in their neck of the woods. Who is looking for Haleigh besides TN?

Still confuzzled about TN taking Cobra out to the "underground hog pens". What was that really all about? Was she really in the woods for four hours without seeing a snake, but suddenly saw one when she had company? Where is this place in relation to Chez Cummings? Was TN hoping that the ex-Marine hog farmer with a long arm was going to plug Cobra? Was she diverting Cobra's attention from something else? When was that video made? Anyone know or remember? 02/16/09 It’s a quiet morning here at the command center, and the crowds are gone. Law enforcement and Texas EquuSearch have announced that the massive search effort for Haleigh Cummings has been suspended. We are currently loading up to head home for Texas.

We are leaving with tears in our eyes and pain in our heart, for we have not found Haleigh yet. However, we are also leaving with many new friends and much hope…for we have met a lot of new people and seen the best that people have to offer. This search effort has brought out the best in mankind. When tragedy struck this small community of Satsumah, the residents responded. Our members and volunteers have been treated with the utmost care and respect and we are so very grateful.

All for the love of a child, strangers and neighbors alike have come together in a massive labor of love. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to each and every one of you who participated in every way in this effort.

Continue to keep Haleigh and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

RONALD CUMMINGS’ RESPONSE

Allegation I: Injuries to Haleigh Cummings as Depicted in Certain Undated Photos provided by the biological mother, Crystal Sheffield, to the media

All photos provided by Ronald Cummings are date and time stamped. Medical and school records will be available on FindHaleighNow.com, a website now under construction which should be online no later than April 2, 2008.

Timeline:
It is evident to all that Haleigh Cummings was injured at her elementary school, (Browning-Pearce) on November 6, 2008. The school records document a nose cut at 1:50 p.m. A photo taken the previous day (Exhibit A) shows Haleigh without injury.

Haleigh Cummings was taken to the ER at FlaglerHospital in St. Augustine at 4:31 p.m. on November 6, 2008 by Teresa Neves, Ronald’s mother, since Ronald had to report to work.

The hospital records document a laceration to the nose, and facial contusions, and it was noted upon physical examination that Haleigh was suffering from swelling and superficial abrasions, a more serious injury than described by the school report. It is important to note that emergency room physicians and staff are extensively trained in recognizing, treating and reporting child abuse and it is clear there were no such concerns.

In the interim, during the afternoon of November 6, 2008, at 3:38 p.m., approximately 1 ½ hours after the injury, two photos taken by Teresa Neves (Exhibit B) accurately depict Haleigh’s injuries. The injuries were also observed by Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin (now Cummings) on November 6, 2008, and on November 7, 2008 by Annette Sykes, Ronald’s grandmother.

On November 7, 2008, three (3) photos were taken at 10:17 a.m. (Exhibit C) by Teresa Neves, which depict worsening discoloration and swelling.

On November 9, 2008, three (3) more photos were taken of Haleigh (Exhibit D) which show the natural progression and continuation of her response to the injury.

On November 12, 2008, Haleigh was suffering from stomach cramps, nausea, and vomiting.

She was taken by Teresa Neves to Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine where she was treated, and because of the facial trauma that occurred on November 6, 2008, a CT of the head and nose was performed as a precaution. Both tests were negative for any abnormalities. She was provided medication, and released.

On November 14, 2008, two (2) photos of Haleigh were taken by Teresa Neves (Exhibit E) showing that all swelling had subsided, with no visible lacerations or bruises.

The undated photos in the possession of the biological mother are consistent with the photos depicted in the timeline provided herein.

The biological mother’s assertion the injuries depicted exist due to abuse by Ronald Cummings is false and unsubstantiated, made recklessly without any effort to obtain all relevant information.

The result has been the slander and libel of Ronald Cummings.

Allegation II Injuries to Ronald Cummings, Jr. on the Leg

Ronald Cummings is without knowledge of this injury. The photo submitted by the biological mother in no way indicates how the scratch occurred, and it is certainly consistent with a bicycle or playground accident, and seems plainly inconsistent with an intentional injury.

Credibility of Biological Mother

In addition to the false allegations regarding the photos of Haleigh Cummings, referenced in Allegation I in this release, additional serious credibility problems exist relating to the biological mother.

The biological mother, Crystal Sheffield, previously made false accusations about alleged violence by Ronald Cummings in an injunction proceeding in Baker County, Florida. Ronald Cummings had legal counsel who obtained a dismissal by the presiding judge in open court because of the lack of credibility of the mother.

The biological mother, Crystal Sheffield, also knowingly made a false police report about a vehicle which she claimed was stolen. This was widely reported by national media and occurred in Putnam County, Florida.

In conclusion, the timeline and photos leave no doubt as to the cause, nature, and severity of the injuries to Haleigh regarding the events of November 2008.

As mentioned earlier, these accusations were made recklessly without any effort to obtain all relevant information. Instead, Crystal Sheffield and her attorney sensationalized the allegations when they appeared on various TV shows.

Most importantly, the focus has been taken off the search for Haleigh by this tawdry and inexcusable publicity stunt.

It's my understanding that the date/time stamp can be manipulated. :shrug: I guess part of what would resolve this issue would be to track when Crystal actually had visitation with Haleigh and Junior.

Woos, informant would be my guess considering the outcome of his drug charges; i.e. no punishments! It's not talked about a lot anymore, but there were talking heads on Prime News and JVM who conjectured that he very likely is.

We finally got weather in SW Ks. The long predicted snow storm. Don't have a clue how much we got, but it was actually pretty much all over the area. Usually whatever whether comes our way kind of splits and goes around us, connects back up and hits about 60 miles to the east, and really hammers south-central Ks.

My new vehicle has 4x4, so my SO thinks there is no reason I should not be able to drive on snow and ice. :( So, yesterday am, I drove home in next to zero visability, but the roads weren't too bad. Drove to work last pm, and it still wasn't too bad. But then it froze over night. ICE!!! SO says, it's slicker than snot out there, but he expected me to do my own driving!! Got home okay, temp was 16. Left about 11 and temp was up to 26, and roads were melting some, and plows had hit the main roads. The drifts across the road from town were a problem this am, especially when there was oncoming traffic on what was essentially a one-lane road!!! Just got home, temp 37, roads absolutely clear, but the streets in town and here are a mess. My driveway is a big drift but I can get about half-way up, so I'm not out on the street.

So, hope that was our obligatory snow storm of the season. It was pretty darn wet, which is unusual: most of our snows are dry powder stuff that doesn't do much @ all for the farmers.

First of all, let me apologize for my absence. I quit smoking and it has caused no end of medical problems for me over the last two days. I still can't breath right after having my last cigarette on Thursday morning at about 8:30 a.m.

The underground hog pens are used for capturing and containing feral pigs. It is about the only way to contain them and it does keep them from fighting. They will kill each other and they will attack humans if given the chance. We used to hunt them in Florida when I was much younger.

Our weather in central AR just started a couple of hours ago; can't tell if what's coming down is rain or sleet. Of course the wind is blowing about 40mph (so what's new?!). Leroy is driving home from Ohio and I'm just hoping they don't run smack dab into a blizzard!

What I got from Cobra's video narration is that TN had been out searching the woods and when she saw the hog pens she was afraid that Haleigh was being held captive there. :shrug:

I posted about Whiteboy Greg's arrest record and his myspace when Cobra's story broke. Not sure if it's in here or the new updates thread, but he's a druggie like Ron. UNlike Ron, he's done time. That is a little weird. Even if TN is a picture taking person (there was NO event too insignificant for pictures, every moment was a Kodak moment for my Mom) the nearly day-by-day progression of the healing of an injury just seems--unusual. Did she do this for all injuries on all her kids/grandkids? Are there similar pics of Jr's leg-whuppin'? Or is there only this type of pic if the injury occured somewhere other than @ home?

It just seems that if Ron were advised to have pics of an injury-whether as evidence in a lawsuit against say, the school that she wasn't watched closely enough, or to prove to a judge in a custody battle that the injury did not occur @ home, that there just would have been a couple of pics of the injury, not the progression til injury is gone like this. IMO, it's far-fetched to think an attorney would advise them of this, and I cannot think of a situation where the hospital (the doctor? the nurse? a social worker?) would tell them to do this.

We haven't had any here for awhile and I was hoping it was all over with, but after originally coming from New England, I know better than to say it's over. I remember back in 1982 we had a freak snowstorm in NH where I lived on May 15th which brought us two feet!! So never say never! Thanks guys, I am so glad to be back, not feeling too bad today, the staples are pulling a bit, they are supposed to disolve and already I can see the scars will be minimal, not that it matters much, even though I am having the LAPP band, I really don't think this body of mine will be on any Bow Flex commericals!! I hate those! That one tool says, "I gave all my fat clothes to my fat friends"! He would have no friends if he said that to me!! And the other idiot who looks to be as gay as a picnic basket, "I am in a rock band, I am living my dream and this is a 50 year old BowFlex body"

I would much rather have Valerie Bertinelli tell me about her smoking body, damm that woman be 2 years younger than me and she puts younger women to shame huh? My friend's son and family just moved right near Satsuma to Leesburg and she thinks the whole town ain't nothing but trash, she says it is full of run down areas, many crappy trailer parks, they were curious so they drove down there and her daughter in law swore she heard the theme song from "Deliverence" as they drove through!! And that is my take from what I was able to see on coverage like from Greta. Michelle said it would be easy to grab a kid, there are tons of them riding their bikes, milling around, no parents around unless you count the ones swilling beer at the picnic tables, they went down there on a Tuesday and it did not appear to her that many people work, and she felt uncomfortable there and she also said it is white, she saw no black people at all. Hear that fiddle ya all???

She thinks too that Misti was not home or that she let whoever took Haleigh into the home and has no use for Rageman at all! She thinks that the marriage is a sham too and she thinks H is dead too much time has passed without a trace of the girl and notice not one sighting either? Well we did think that Caylee sightings were bogus and we were right. It still comes back to them no matter how you cut it. I am however getting a little testy with Putnam CO. Are they doing their job? They cancel a ground search? Sounds like they have given up and we all know no one in this trash family is out searching either, it is a wait and see at this point.

And that is my take from what I was able to see on coverage like from Greta. Michelle said it would be easy to grab a kid, there are tons of them riding their bikes, milling around, no parents around unless you count the ones swilling beer at the picnic tables, they went down there on a Tuesday and it did not appear to her that many people work, and she felt uncomfortable there and she also said it is white, she saw no black people at all. Hear that fiddle ya all???

She thinks too that Misti was not home or that she let whoever took Haleigh into the home and has no use for Rageman at all! She thinks that the marriage is a sham too and she thinks H is dead too much time has passed without a trace of the girl and notice not one sighting either? Well we did think that Caylee sightings were bogus and we were right. It still comes back to them no matter how you cut it. I am however getting a little testy with Putnam CO. Are they doing their job? They cancel a ground search? Sounds like they have given up and we all know no one in this trash family is out searching either, it is a wait and see at this point.

Hey, Wind! Good to hear from you. I've actually been off the boards awhile myself dealing with caring for my elderly mother after dad's death 2 wks ago. I never imagined I would have to move in to my childhood home again and care for my mother. So far, it's OK but w/o a job, I don't have many choices right now. Dealing with lots of grief and loss and trying to find a job is all I can manage right now but I have been reading everyone's comments.

The underground hog pens are used for capturing and containing feral pigs. It is about the only way to contain them and it does keep them from fighting. They will kill each other and they will attack humans if given the chance. We used to hunt them in Florida when I was much younger.

Our weather in central AR just started a couple of hours ago; can't tell if what's coming down is rain or sleet. Of course the wind is blowing about 40mph (so what's new?!). Leroy is driving home from Ohio and I'm just hoping they don't run smack dab into a blizzard!

What I got from Cobra's video narration is that TN had been out searching the woods and when she saw the hog pens she was afraid that Haleigh was being held captive there. :shrug:

Thanks to you all you guys, I am alive, not feeling too well still, they ended up not being able to do the surgery, when they got in there I had such bad adhesions, a small beneign tumor and a really bad hernia. The repaired all but the hernia, and due in part, I can't have the gastric bypass but in a couple of weeks I can have the LAPP band put in and repair the hernia then. They knew going in I had a hernia, they just were not expecting the mess my guts were in! I spend three days, higher than anyone should have a right to be, but still in horrible pain I don't remember much except for the pain and it was so bad they gave me, God Bless one of those pain machines!!! I want one of them suckers at home!!! Instead of popping an Oxy, I can blast myself into happydom with one push!!! And that drug they give ya to relax ya Versaid? If everyone got up in the a.m. and did a hit of that, there would be no crime on this planet, damm, that stuff is sooo good!!!

Of course I am cursed with the worst veins, they practically turned me into a pin cushion before one nurse was able to bang me without me coming off the stretcher wanting to kill somebody, anyone here have the same problem? It is a wonder blood moves through mine. The minute they would try to hit me, the vein would either collapse or roll and that hurts like hell!!! Finally, they had to hit me where they normally draw blood from, veins are OK there, except when I got admitted into my room, I had to keep my arm, flat, and when you are in pain that is hard to do. They did not dare take it out and move it! SO I came home and just bascially have been sleeping the days away, everything hurts, yesterday, I managed to get off the couch amd clean a little, but did not feel up to sitting at the desk till today and kinda got caught up in this mess. I KNOW NOW that LE knows this useless twit was not home that night this child went missing and what is up with NG thinking Ronnie the Rager is father of the year???? I remember watching a bit the night of the surgery with my nurse who thinks these people are relatives of Satan himself, we both sat open mouthed while she just trashed Crystal to the point where as much as I don't care for her either, did not really deserve the blast ole Nancykins was whopping on her! Usually, NG is right on the woman's side except for CA who has no one but her horrible family and Bozo and I personally like that lawyer, she seems like she has Crystal's best interest, this woman is not a camerawhore by any means, I really think she is gonna hit the mother lode on info, in this circle of friends, meaning the lower metalities, ratting to a cop is bad news, but to give it up to a lawyer might work here.

And how would Haleigh at her age, really know what a wedding is? Her parents never married??? This woman has six children and 10 grandchildren including two that are the same age, and her heart breaks for the child and for Junior too and thinks CPS needs to get him far away from these losers. AS for Chystal coaching him, I don't get that, I think she is smarter than Ronnie and sugarpie, not much, but knows enough to not do that, let him say what he feels, draw him out slowly and maybe, he will reveal something significant. We have enough professionals on here who deal with children everyday, damaged kids, and I am sure whoever has interviewed him has years of experience, I can see Drew now, I can see Loretta, somebody, will get to the truth without confusing this poor child more, He does not understand why his world has been turned upside down, he does not understand why his sissy is not home, but maybe like Blake, they can get a break through, he has no concept of time, he probably does not remember if she was home all night, or he might, we are not hearing much out of LE and that is their choice.

It is so frustrating at this pointm but weren't we all by July pretty much were figuring Caylee was dead? It will be almost two months here and not one trace of her? Good luck with the smoking NA! High Five! It's going to be a good thing once you've cleared up the lungs. I got the gum and a quit date. I've tried everything from the new pills (which had some serious side effects) the patch which gave me a bad rash from head to heels, and the lozenges. It's such a smelly habit. I'm long over do to let it go completely. I understand.

In no time your lungs will be nice and clean and you can chew licorice. The red kind is good :-) Non fattening :hat:

I agree with you (all of you) This case is simple. No one was watching the children. It's a good thing the perp couldn't carry two children out of that candominium.

I doubt Ron was involved in the actual kidnapping because no one could perform that well after the child went missing. His initial reaction was hysteria. HOWEVER, after the fact, when he processed the entire saga, he may have seen the reason why the child went missing, or suspected he was part of the reason. (Does that make sense?)

I think he married the bubble head to cover up some of the ways both of them can be held responsible by proxy. He needs to have his hand close to her mouth. Of course it won't work. Everything ALWAYS come out on the wash.

They both belong in a cage IMO. Jr, needs to be in a safe place. Those swollen stick marks on his legs speak volumes. Kids talk.

Not only lost Mother Teresa's angel, but is stonewalling LE so that they don't even have a timeline all these weeks later. I'm dying to know what it is that Haleigh ate that she had enough E coli in her system to warrant going to the hospital, but apparently no one else in the family did. What about her classmates? Were they also affected?

He says he spotted his daughter’s white SUV on the side of the road with a crowd of people around it. When he got out, he says he ran up to the vehicle and saw his daughter in the middle of a seizure.

Family friends tell us early Monday morning, Crystal called volunteers at the Haleigh Bug Foundation to tell them she was going to a local phone store to buy a landline for the foundation. Friends tell us she stopped at a local Burger King for lunch, then while driving along State Road 20, suffered a seizure and bumped the rear bumper of the vehicle in front of her.

Sheffield was taken by ambulance to the Putnam Community Medical Center along with her 11 month old daughter. Sheffield was admitted, hooked up to oxygen, and monitored. Her daughter was looked after, and was immediately released suffering no injuries.

Friends tell us both Crystal and her daughter were wearing seatbelts. We’re told the 11 month old was strapped into a child seat. The only visible damage on the outside of Sheffield’s SUV was a slight dent in the front bumper. Witnesses say the other car suffered no damage.

Sheffield’s family says this is the second seizure Crystal has ever gone through. They tell us she suffered her first two days before Haleigh was taken. Family says she did go to the doctor then, but hasn’t been able to do any follow-up visits since her daughter’s disappearance.

Sheffield is expected to be okay and should be released from the hospital after minimal supervision. Her father was by her side the entire time she was in the hospital. Her mother was stuck at a different hospital in Jacksonville sitting with another family member, but was in constant contact by phone with her daughter.

I don't think Ron's hysteria was genuine. In speech the important elements are vocabulary, grammar and prosody; i.e. pitch and stress to convey meaning and emotion. Cummings can be faulted for lack of proper use of all three. The vocab and grammar seem to be par for the course according to other family members whose speech we have witnessed. But that spectacle that he put on the first night was nothing short of bizarre; the keening and crying and falling to the ground, etc. Just ffar-fetched, ffantastical ffreakishness.

Well, as was pointed out to me (and THEN I watched Geraldo) the little boy wasn't even paying attention, and certainly wasn't answering any questions, giving answers prodded by mom.

I couldn't find how to email NG--there was only the general CNN email--had to say whether your post was negative or positive--I'm sure the negative ones are tossed aside. Anyway, I said I positively think it is the pot calling the kettle black for her to say one word to Crystal about putting Jr's face on national tv--something she does minimally once a week to her own children. I mentioned that there are crazies out there, and they can easily find where NG lives is they are so inclined.

I also said I positively think NG is all wrong to berate the very breath that Crystal Sheffield breathes, yet seems to want to kiss the ground the equally scumbag person Ron Cummings walks on.

I've always thought that the false prosody gave him away, coupled with his language that Haleigh was "stolen" and that he doesn't seem to be able to speak her name on a regular basis and has never called her by her nickname Doodlebug. That he said he'll always believe that Haleigh is alive until they bring her home sent up a red flag, and that Haleigh wanted him and Misty to get married but he didn't wait for her to be a part of the wedding stinks too. I couldn't find an email page for NG, just a general CNN email. And it has the positive or negative buttons to click. I'm pretty sure one night when I was emailing Lou Dobbs, I finally found his page, w/his email. I THINK Dobbs is on the same station. I think his had the pos/neg, too.

It was easy to find the CTV anchors and their individual emails--that is, emails to their segment of the day. Seems most other networks I have tried, try to make it as difficult as possible to email a particular host or anchor. They don't want email or what? Just take the option off and say no more emails or something, don't make us spend hours trying to find it!!!!

Yes 4 yrs. ago Crystal was not in a good place. Since then she has cleaned up her act and proved herself. Why beat a dead horse. Rotten Ronnie is the stellar parent? C'mon Nancy cut her some slack. I think it was on Mike Galanos? (the show before JVM.) Crystal's lawyer was on, and I think the discussion was that Crystal had not been able to afford an attorney to help fight the mess w/Ron--and let's admit it--it was a mess, the custody thing. Add to that seems none of them have much more than a 10th grade education, so knowledge of how to go about fighting "the system" probably just wasn't there. Anyway, a caller asked, why now? How could Crystal NOW afford an attorney and Kim? P said she is doing this pro bono, the case got to her, and she just had to help.

That being said, I don't know of anyone who thinks that Crystal was probably the best person to have those kids from the beginning--but neither was Ron. "The system" should have removed those kids from the bio-parents period until they cleaned up their act. My problem w/NG is that she acts like Crystal is entirely the bad person here, now and then. Has not one decent thing to say about her--like, she now has a JOB, is in a relationship every bit as stable as Ron's (and, maybe more--no rumors about her new man running around having sex with other women.) And, so what if Crystal's new man has a drug background--do we think Misti does not? (Well I don't--I think her and Ron are still in the game with that, whether he will admit it or not.)

I just think NG should also step up to the plate and recognize RON's shortcomings--some of them the very same ones she castigizes Crystal about. To say nothing that the last vitriolic verbal assault where she claims Crystal is exploiting Jr by having him on tv, when she does the very same thing week in and week out with her own precious babies. IMO

I think it was on Mike Galanos? (the show before JVM.) Crystal's lawyer was on, and I think the discussion was that Crystal had not been able to afford an attorney to help fight the mess w/Ron--and let's admit it--it was a mess, the custody thing. Add to that seems none of them have much more than a 10th grade education, so knowledge of how to go about fighting "the system" probably just wasn't there. Anyway, a caller asked, why now? How could Crystal NOW afford an attorney and Kim? P said she is doing this pro bono, the case got to her, and she just had to help.

That being said, I don't know of anyone who thinks that Crystal was probably the best person to have those kids from the beginning--but neither was Ron. "The system" should have removed those kids from the bio-parents period until they cleaned up their act. My problem w/NG is that she acts like Crystal is entirely the bad person here, now and then. Has not one decent thing to say about her--like, she now has a JOB, is in a relationship every bit as stable as Ron's (and, maybe more--no rumors about her new man running around having sex with other women.) And, so what if Crystal's new man has a drug background--do we think Misti does not? (Well I don't--I think her and Ron are still in the game with that, whether he will admit it or not.)

I just think NG should also step up to the plate and recognize RON's shortcomings--some of them the very same ones she castigizes Crystal about. To say nothing that the last vitriolic verbal assault where she claims Crystal is exploiting Jr by having him on tv, when she does the very same thing week in and week out with her own precious babies. IMO

I don's know if Ron or Crystal either one has a job at this point, and we assume that Misty doesn't. (Not to mention that when/if there is a custody hearing for Junior, the judge is going to have to look long and hard at the fact that Misty is the one throwing a monkey wrench into the very basis of this investigation; she cannot or will not provide a timeline.) Even if Crystal doesn't sue for custody of Junior, the court needs to appoint a guardian ad litem for him. And soon.

As for Crystal, I think this whole situation has probably forced her to do some growing up and I think she is beginning to find her voice. But she needs to squelch it until there is some resolution as to what happened to Haleigh.

It's not easy to restrain from bashing an ex, but what if God forbid a custodial parent has a falling out with a child? Where will they feel safe if not with the other guy? The street might seem like a better alternative and they might just run away. And at some point they will wonder if the other guy is so vile, how and why did I even come into being? Search for Haleigh Cummings gets help from pup

The search for 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings is now getting some help-- from a dog.

Two year old Gunny is a 170 pound Newfoundland who happens to be a crisis dog. Gunny was introduced to the family of Haleigh Cummings a week after the little girl disappeared.

"He comes and sees the family, he tries to make them, they will reach out to him, pet him and get to talk him and loosen up a little bit," said Gunny's handler.

And that's not all. He's followed up on tips alerting his handler by remaining still in any areas of concern. So far nothing concrete has turned up.

It was easy to find the CTV anchors and their individual emails--that is, emails to their segment of the day. SATSUMA, Fla. -- For the first time since its doors have been opened, the Haleigh Bug Foundation is missing one of its prime components. Crystal Sheffield, Haleigh Cummings mother, was forced to stay home and rest after suffering her second seizure in less than 24 hours.

“It’s lonely kind of, without her cause we’re always with her…but we want her to stay home and get her rest because she needs it,” said family friend, Melissa Baumgarener.

Crystal Sheffield suffered the second seizure shortly after being discharged from the Putnam Community Medical Center Monday. Her fiancé picked her up and the two were on their way to her father’s house to pick up their 11-month-old daughter. During that car ride, Crystal suffered her seizure and was taken to Flagler Hospital.

Her first seizure happened Monday afternoon. Sheffield was behind the wheel when it happened, and her SUV collided with a car in front of her. No one was injured.

Family friends tell us the stress of not knowing where her daughter has been for the past 50 days are catching up with her health.

“A lot of people down here that have been here from day one have gotten sick, and have been stressed out, and it’s taken a toll on everybody,” said Baumgarener.

Sheffield is expected to be fine. Family friends tell us she’s going to see specialists soon who can help her with aftercare.

Putnam Sheriff Calls Haleigh Case 'Personal'

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy was in office for barely one month when his department was hit with a crisis that gained national attention -- the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings.

On Tuesday, Hardy sat down with Channel 4 to talk frankly about the Haleigh case.

"It was intimidating, I'll be honest with you," Hardy said.

About 50 days after the 5-year-old went missing, Hardy admitted that being thrust into the national spotlight in such dramatic fashion was difficult.

"My fears of being on national television … the fact that there's a missing 5-year-old child is more important," Hardy said.

Hardy has been in local law enforcement for 15 years and dealt with every type of crime, but nothing like Haleigh's case.

"The investigation has had so many different angles to it that it's been extremely difficult to try to narrow and focus it down to where it needs to be. Also, as previously reported, there have been so many inconsistencies in statements and stories," Hardy said.

Some of the inconsistencies have come from the last person who saw Haleigh -- Misty Croslin.

The sheriff couldn't talk about her specific statements, but he did talk about the suddenly public and angry battle of words between Ronald Cummings and Haleigh's mother, Crystal Sheffield.

The sheriff said their fight is not helping his investigation.

"Unfortunately, in the last few weeks, it seems to have lost the focus of what our mission is here," Hardy said.

The goal is still to find Haleigh or answers after seven weeks of searching.

"Look at the thousands and thousands of hours we've put in on this case, and no trace," Hardy said.

He said working cases is not supposed to be personal but when it comes to a missing child it is personal.

Good Morning, All. I don't post much because my slow computer takes forever to load these pages, but I LOVE this place.
There is a rumor that Ron sent Haleigh to an aunt in GA. Wonder if LE knows this or checked it out. It would be wonderful if she is still alive.
Been reading the last several pages here, and I agree with most of you. NG needs to lighten up on Crystal. I quit watching her but JVM shows clips of Nancy, and now and then I catch part of the show. Can't stand her, really.
I also agree that this custody issue should not be played out in the media, but I don't blame Crystal for wanting to protect her son. I am one of those old-fashioned women who believe babies should be with their mother, and I think it's pretty low of a guy to take her babies away from her when he didn't have the decency to marry her in the first place. Jr. was just a few months old and Haleigh not even 2. I also read something about custody being automatically awarded to the mother if the couple were unmarried, unless the father takes a paternity test to prove he is the father. I recall that he requested one on Jr. but not Haleigh. Anybody know anything about this? Just seems strange to me.
I hope and pray that she will be found safe, but my fear is that she is already dead, and has been for weeks. Such a shame, a beautiful little angel.

I would say they would have either been work related (in which case that could explain one reason he would not be working anymore, crane operators do not tend to have many on the job injuries) or something that happened out of work. In either case, prescription drugs are abused much more often than are illegal drugs in our society.

In the construction trades it is a somewhat common thing. the sale of prescription drugs from one who has a prescription will sell pain killers to others on the job.

With that said, if LE or lawyers in a custody case think he is abusing drugs that would be easy to prove on way or the other. Look at prescriptions that he legally has and do a drug test on him. Not the normal one but a hair test. Your hair will store residue of drugs for some time. Not like a urine test that one can pass after several days to a week. Hair tests can go back for months. 1/4 inch of hair can go back as far as a month. And you can shave your head until the cows come home, hair can be found.

I hadn't realized that "normal, everyday" kids use subscription drugs for money or barter. The kids' niece who lived here was always having something done @ the dentist, getting Lortab. Her b/f's sister would not let her (K) pay for something she (E) did for K. She had to "pay" her w/Lortab!!! :eek: One time K told E she did not get Lortab for that visit, and according to the kids, E was calling the dentist office to complain!!! (this is a fairly small town--and while I do have to wonder about the "story" I wouldn't put it past her!!!!)

So, I guess if Ron has some type of injury, work related or not, on a regular basis, he might have that kind of "legal" drug available for sale. One of these cases where you have to look closely to what is being said. "I don't do drugs" as in illegal drugs may be true, but it doesn't address what he does w/his "legal" drugs--take them himself or sell, barter, whatever.

I've read the rumor about Haleigh being with an aunt in GA too. If true, whoever orchestrated this needs to be under the jail. And let me just throw in here that while I think it's sorry for the custody issue to be the news instead of the search, I don't see why it should stymie LE from their investigation. Especially if the safety of the children is part of the investigation.

I've read that kids raid the rents' medicine cabinet and throw whatever they have cadged into a bowl for their party friends to help themselves. I think L&O (SVU?) had an episode revolving around that theme.

i don't know about Law and Order but i can tell ya that it DOES happen, when i was in high school me and my friends would actually trade pills we had taken from our parents cabinet and take them right there at school! it is a much bigger problem than most people think too, although it is coming out more and more often now, those anti-drug commercials are stupid but they do raise awareness

SVU did the episode "Dependent" and Saving Grace did "Do You Believe in Second Chances?" (just saw it, how did I forget?) about pharm parties. So crazy! When I was a kid I was too cautious to take such a risk and it seemed like most of my pill-popping friends liked downers. Not my cup of tea!

If a random test got him the use was recent. They use urine tests and that will only go back a few weeks to a month.

He doth have the look of a "user" to me and I am a safety professional and have to look at "users" from time to time. The attitude, not looking straight at someone when talking to them, the anger (if he hasn't "used" in a period of time) there are several "red flags" that go up.

I am beginning to think this may have been a drug thing that went sour. Either he could not pay or owed someone money from a drug transaction or under the table loan and couldn't/wouldn't pay up. I just have that feeling. He may know there is no need to look for her.

if that were the case i think the only motivation could be money from media attention, maybe they took a que from the anthony's and the octomom and decided that there is money to be had in missing children's cases, what with selling pictures and what not, maybe Ron and his new bride are lookin to move out of that trailer park :shrug:

SVU did the episode "Dependent" and Saving Grace did "Do You Believe in Second Chances?" (just saw it, how did I forget?) about pharm parties. So crazy! When I was a kid I was too cautious to take such a risk and it seemed like most of my pill-popping friends liked downers. Not my cup of tea!

I would say they would have either been work related (in which case that could explain one reason he would not be working anymore, crane operators do not tend to have many on the job injuries) or something that happened out of work. In either case, prescription drugs are abused much more often than are illegal drugs in our society.

In the construction trades it is a somewhat common thing. the sale of prescription drugs from one who has a prescription will sell pain killers to others on the job.

With that said, if LE or lawyers in a custody case think he is abusing drugs that would be easy to prove on way or the other. Look at prescriptions that he legally has and do a drug test on him. Not the normal one but a hair test. Your hair will store residue of drugs for some time. Not like a urine test that one can pass after several days to a week. Hair tests can go back for months. 1/4 inch of hair can go back as far as a month. And you can shave your head until the cows come home, hair can be found.

thank-you deacon, i did not know any of this,just a little of the hair tests...i don't know how they can find anything else, with all the meds,i have to take, but my hair is verrrry long & they tested for all kinds of problemss from toxic mokds,in me ....

Yeah, I've read that people have come forward to state that Misty had injured Haleigh in the past, including burning/scalding her around the time of that pic of her hands bandaged, and that Haleigh had become unmanageable.

Mike Galanos (Prime News) is talking about Sheriff Hardy's statement about how the custody sideshows are hindering the investigation, and that it's obstruction. Will someone explain that to me like I'm six years old?!

How Ron and Misty live and raise those children and provide for them and protect them IS the investigation. And since Crystal wasn't in the home and didn't have physical custody, I don't see how her concern for Junior's safety can be considered as obstruction. As for the "sideshow issues", LE can just sit back and wait for DCF's report; no one expects them to perform social work.

And if LE would give a decent report and verify what timeline they have nailed down, that would help too. Agree with Don Clark that at some point Misty's different stories should be considered lying and cannot believe that after seven weeks Misty hasn't been arrested for obstruction of justice.

Who am I to argue with Don Clark? Well, I'm going to take a stab at it. Let LE go about their business, and let DCF go about theirs, and let Ron&Misty and Crystal keep on firing salvos and see if what they say doesn't accidentally give us a clue. The more these people talk, regardless of the topic, the better for Haleigh.

LE seems to have more than a handful without criticizing these people airing their dirty laundry in public. (And shame on Crystal for outing Junior's alleged abuse; he deserves the same right to privacy as any other child in the social welfare system.)

And that's my two cents.

Gee, since I've bashed everyone else in this case, I've got to say that the more I think about it, the more it rankles me that LE has diminished focus in the investigation because of Cummings' and Crystal's inability to put aside their differences.
