There have been quite a few serial killers who were married with children and a number who were successful self-employed businessmen.

I have seen several documentaries about Gacy on Crime TV and the ID channel. Gacy's was a closet homosexual. Gacy's father was a brutish man who bullied and ridiculed him.

Gacy was defiant to the end and contemptuous of his victims.
I don't know if it's true, but one program that I saw said that Gacy's last words were: "You can all all kiss my *****".

I think he fit it perfectly. He was the last one they suspected because he was successful, friendly, etc.... What better cover to have?

Most serial killers are masters of deception and Gacy was no different in this respect. It's a facade of normalcy presented to society. When people closest discover the truth, it's always shock. "He was such a nice man."

Ha, that is right, Pennywise. I totally forgot about that scary evil clown's name in "It." Yeah, I couldn't believe that he even left one of his (gives me the heebie jeebies just saying it) rape victims after torturing him, and leaving him to wake up in a public spot. That guy was lucky not to end up underneath the floorboards of Gacy's home. I sure hope they burned that hell hole down after they of course searched everything. Even having something rebuilt over that area would still be freaky. :cuss:

message boards and read where he did not use John Wayne Gacy as his inspiration for Pennywise. But, their resemblence is uncanny, and IMO I don't think Stephen King would admit it anyway!

Yeah Sara, I think SK does alot of his best work in his subconcious mind...thus the inspiration for his macabre stories...

I have never met the guy, but have seen his house. (big mansion). Anyways, some elders that were in the mission decided to go try to share the gospel with him. This is their story as they told us: "we went and knocked on his door, and after a minute or two, the giant door creaked open, and his face appeared out of the darkness, and he said "so, what religion are you from?" they said "well Mr. King, we are the missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!" S.K, said, "well, we have our own little religion here, he he he..." and he shut the door. Needless to say, the elders were totally freaked out. Funny story they tell anyone who is a fan of S.K.

The community absolutely adores him, because he donates a lot of money to the city, and his celebrity brings tourist and vacationers. He is too freaky for me. The only book of his that I ever read was the Green Mile. The movie was good, but the book was better. "It" gave me nightmares, and that other one with Kathy Bates freaked me out. Seeing her as "Molly Brown" in Titanic gave me a different feeling about her because she played the part SO well in S.K's film. I will always think of her in that character, "I'm your #1 fan." I still can't get over the resemblance of "Pennywise" to J.W.G.

Tom Hanks and Michael Clark Duncan were SO perfect for their parts (the whole cast fit perfect) in the Green Mile. I had NO idea that S.K did apperances in his films??? I knew that M. Night Shymalan (sp?) does now and then, and thought he was among the few that did. YES YES YES, let's go visit Maine!!! I woiuld LOVE to go back and to see the people I grew to love there again!! (and to see S.K). I would shake his hand, but would stand back in the shadows taking pictures of you talking to him, etc. He is ok, but not one on my list of people to meet. I have one or two that are on my list that would give me a dead on heart attack to even be in the same room with-so I know what you mean!!! I have never seen the "Shining" or "The Stand." I know that Jack Nicholson became famous from that movie, and "redrum." I wished we lived close enough where we could get together some night with popcorn, and have a S.K movie night!!! I get too freaked out watching those kind of movies living alone. It is WAY more fun (and less freaky) with friends.:)

Ok, got it!!! I have seen the movie "Carrie" a LONG time ago at some Halloween party. It was weird that John Travolta was in that!!! No the scientist stuff won't be the problem, the nightmares that come after will be the problem instead!!! I have a vivid imagination. :)
