Oh, I have a meeting this morning and then some training to do when I get through I am going to find the story I read this morning. Mrs. Governor is holding his feet to the fire. That situation isn't over yet. She said her concern is not his career or his politics. She said her concern was her sons. I'll post it if I can find it.
Thanks deacon! I figured we wouldn't hear from you again till you had travel time. I hope that first lady does the right thing for her sons and with her time. When and if she channels all that incredible energy she gave to her husbands office (so he had time to screw around) she might just make herself more successful than he ever was.
I hope the judge grants her all his income. :D She's a very attractive woman. There are a lot of nice men out there with a lot of love to give. She'll find one and she and her sons will live happily ever after.
His tan line lady might find herself another stupid American to pay for her green card. I have a feeling the paparazzi is looking for her right now. We'll see her tan lines in no time, on the front page of the National Enquirer some day when we are standing in line at the market. ;)

Most of you know, I was married very young and was a mother in my teens. As we all know, young people don't always make good choices, but young or not, often fate delivers us to to some windy weather in relationships. Being from a strict Italian set of parents, I dared not think of getting divorced, so I did my 20 years. Three years after my father passed away, I did the unthinkable. I filed for a divorce because I believed there was more in life than unhappiness.
It never occurred to me that I would remarry. I didn't believe my children could deal with a step father. 7 years after my divorce I married poppa. The day we married I was totally out of my body. I loved him very much, but I was so scared. (I knew him for a few years before we dated)
Lemme tell ya. My children were young adults when I remarried (the baby was 16) and they adore him and pay honor to him consistently. He is the man they turn to when they are scared or need advice. He guides them and never disrespects the fact that they have a dad. He weathered all the issues we came to him with. So, in my case divorce was a good thing. We should never underestimate the kids. They are sometimes the teachers and, we the students.
That Governor is toast if he thinks she won't divorce him.
(And well she should.) He can earn his father rights, like my ex had to. If she stays, fugeddaboudit!

Her statements have been very respectable. Her sons will learn to treat women the way she insists on being treated, no matter what dad does. Good for her! She's got her priorities right!

Well considering he was doing those e-mails from office, home and farm, it had to be someone with access...that leaves the wife, the governor, the mistress, or the kids. I agree with deacon, after reading up on and from the wife, not her. Nothing in it for the governor, who was probably hiding them on his end. I doubt the kids would do it. And that leaves La Cuerpazo...she is the only one who would stand to benefit.

Didn't the paper say they had them last month? If so, then she wasn't scorned yet, she was trying to get the wife to leave him to drive him into her arms. Seems to have worked. Guy's a total tool, and by that, he's not a hammer, he's a nail.

The article I read seemed to say the emails were fowarded after he broke up with her. I don't blame her for doing that but he is just "not so smart."
What gets me is that she would do that with a married man to begin with. If he cheats on the wife he has now he would have cheated on her.

Monogamy doesn't seem to be a high priority in Argentina, based on conversations I had with some of them. So La Cuerpaza might not care.
The State said they had them in December but couldn't authenticate them (http://www.thestate.com/sanford/story/839930.html) , but there might have been several releases from "interested parties", imo.

It certainly seems like it can be tracked about how much state business he actually conducted. But, I suppose he and others could claim just shaking the hands of a statesman in that country, maybe exchanging a few words would be enough to call it a state visit, and have the "junket" fully funded, even if he spent a week or 2 there.

Ah, once again the reasoning behind staying with a married man is that he will leave his family and be with her..over and over women fall for this. Hoping against hope. While that saying 'you can't help who you fall in love with' may be true, you can have enough respect for yourself to know that if you fall in love with someone who has a significant other, that person is not fair game unless they are free of any other relationship. That shows they respect you enough to not keep you on the side, until...whenever. Her scorn is misplaced ~ she was messing around with someone else's someone, to which she had no right. http://i40.tinypic.com/4k772r.jpg(that goes double for him). Now he pays the price for taking on someone he had no right to.

Probably doves or quail. They have what they call hunting preserves (which I truely hate) that, for a fee, you can hunt on. They have those in this country too(which I truely hate{get the idea?}) where you can hunt all sorts of animals. Most of them(which I hate) are inside of high fences where the animals can't go anywhere. Their defense (which I truely hate) is that the property is so large it is like hunting in the wild. NOT. The quail hunting preserves raise their birds from eggs and when turned lose have no instinct to avoind human contact.
Those places (which I truely hate) are sick. I wish they were outlawed.

When you, as a married person, first feel an inapproprite attraction for another start you need to seperate yourself from that person. End of story. Remember, you felt that once before for the one you are married to now. Stop being around that person at all cost. Absolutely nothing good can come out of being around that person. At least, that is my idea of how to handle that situation.
I have been married to the same lady, bless her heart for putting up with me, for 31 almost 32 years and she does not look like she did when I married so she says, but neither do I. BUT, she is the same person on the inside. That has never changed. Now that is what I mean when I say "beauty is only skin deep but ugly is slam to the bone." I do not care what this person looks like she is ugly and so is he. Slam to the bone.

I never followed the MJ case as far as evidence ~ or lack of. I saw the many interviews with him asking what was so wrong with showing a child love by sleeping in the same bad with them, the same way you sleep in the same bed with your own children...
Considering that MJ's mind truly was childlike, or stunted (which I believe), he didn't take care of his finances, he played and frolicked his days when not performing and even shopped like a kid in a candy store..totally out of sync with a man his age...
Can it be that he was innocent of the accusations, and was used as a target for extortion? I honestly believe there was not a malicious bone in his body. Anyone who knew him for many years and is saying what a talent , genius he was, stayed silent during his trial because they couldn't back him re his guilt or innocence. But, they readily admit now, he was a talent we will never see the likes of for many many years, if at all. This world was too much him, and I blame his father who belittled and ridiculed and beat him and did not allow a child to be a child, all in the name of the almighty dollar. Everything they had was off those kids backs, mostly Michael.
Where was his mother then? Another instance of a mother letting down her child. If the pressure of 9 kids was too much, well then, why did you keep having children when you didn't have a pot to piss in. Michael Jackson just wanted to be loved, and to be loved by his father. It dictated his whole life, and made him a psychological mess.
We have heard this sort of story before, and I'm sure we will hear it again in our lifetimes.... Children need to be nurtured.
He was surrounded by yes men, not friends. All of that fame and talent, and he didn't have a friend to trust, a loney loney person. So sad and wrong.

I agree with you deacon, and because someone looks different is not enough to stray...period. It was just about physical gratification, and that is selfish and wrong...
At some point in our lives sometimes we as humans realize that we are no longer the person we were then. Maybe the other person is not the same person we married. Probably true on both ends. There is no reason, if the two decide, not to stay in a loveless marriage. Children learn from what they see...the indifference, and an atmosphere of 'no love' so to speak is just as debilitating as a marriage with violence or psychological abuse...more often than not, it gets repeated. Anyone have a cold or indifferent parent who didn't show love? What does it do to a child?
Before my parents divorced, my older brother was witness to, and understood what was going on in our home ..how does a child wind up with an ulcer? This taught me it's better for parents to be apart than have a child go through this...
What can Spitzer's girls think of him? What will this scumbags son's think of him?

I totally understand what you are saying. My point is, don't stay in a marrige that is loveless and then run around. Get the steps right. Divorce and then to the new lady. Not the other way around.
Kinda like Think then do, not do then think. The second doesn't work out so well.

Only 12K? Hmmm, not such a high price for a last supper.
;)
Most women who get involved with married men, don't really want them when they leave their wives. They kinda lose their luster and the thrills turn to leaky faucets and mortgage payments, and writing checks to the ex wife. Kinda makes her want to rewind the tape and find another non committal exciting guy. Those guys can't afford expensive dinners in high end restaurants and lavish baths in fancy hotels. Not good.

That was interesting. I love restaurants, but I can tell you, it is one of the hardest jobs in the world. I salute those people for all their hard work and success. (Of course success never comes without hard work,) but that business is filled with broken backs, burns, tears and many long days. I am the greatest fan of good restaurants AND the biggest critic! THe first thing I do when I drive buy a restaurant is look at the parking lot, if it's full, the food is fresh.

imo, the best is the SC mother who is standing up for herself. These first ladies who stand at their husband's side as they confess affairs-its like they are in the blocks being publicly tortured. How can that affect the children? I'm glad to see one wife NOT standing by his side. If her sons learn bad things from dad, they are learning good things from mom. They are learning, you cheat, you lose, women deserve to be treated with respect. Good for her.
Maybe if more of these politicians wives stand against them, fewer of them will think its okay to cheat and their wife will cry and stand with them. I sure wouldn't! It's unnatural, imo.

I was raised Irish Catholic but I never had kids and finally was married but it was worth the wait. I know if I married any of the boyfriends I would have been miserable. I do miss not having children but I do have furry ones.
Mrs Stanford comes from a very wealthy family Skil tooling. So she does not need the money. It will be interesting to see if she stays. I am sorry you did not get divorced sooner but sometimes I think things are predestined for a reason.......if that makes sense.........sara

It's raining.
I'm gonna go cook now. :( Eggplant parmesan tonight.
I can't believe it's raining. I had so many plans when I saw the sun this morning. My hedges are needing a haircut. But it's raining.

Well I have good news and bad news. My cousin gave me her old comp and it has Windows 98.It actually works pretty well but I was only able to download adobe flash player 8.0 as anything else is incompatible with system. It really really works slow with this website. I guess you need adobe 10.0 for it to work properly on this site. It gives me an error message and really is slow. . The good news I have sound again and it has a CD burner and really is cleaned off and running well. But boy this sight is difficult. Is there anything else I can do to make this site work better? As I said I can only download and install 8.0 and it works but boy is it slow. I guess I will have to patient in the end. LOL. If anyone who is a computer nerd or really comp saavy has any advice for me , let me know. I do not want to spend lots of money to upgrade though.
I know nothing mu. I am sorry. my network connection has become quite weak and I keep trying to figure it out with no luck. I am sorry but at least we are worth slow. LOL sara

You stay home and let the parade go on without you Miss Pregnant lady! I missed four 4th of July Parades. When you are a Nawny, you will know that there will be many more parades. I am into pain free living at this point in my life. I used to think I had to suffer until one day, I got off the cross and life was good. lol! Now days, if it hurts, I refuse to do it. Happy feet make happy me! Good idea. When I'm real hot, I run the cold water on my inner wrists and I can feel all the blood cool down. They also sell these cool pads that you can put on your neck or anywhere on your body. I'm sure you can get them online. They have to be so great in that kind of heat. I think I'll be grateful for the rain. 3 months of it and I'm thinking we're all used to it. It's worse than Norway here. Talk about bad hair days? My hair is getting too long to deal with. I need a cut.

Yes Sara, it makes very good sense. Always for a reason. If I divorced sooner, I'd never have met poppa. He came along a few years after I was divorced. I always say things are "Predestined for a reason" Your furry kids are very fortunate to have all that unconditional and focused love!
Nah the power packed stuff of the NC gov's wife is going to do him in. She's got everything, doesn't need him, so sadly she must have loved him. But, to play the devils advocate for a sec, we don't know the full story. She might have been using him for her own purpose too. Some of those types marry for immortality. She could have been channeling Jackie O. Ya know, maybe she was a wanna be wife of a president?

It's hard to describe what it's like where I live. It's not a city and it isn't the burbs, it's townish but not quite. Right now I am hearing fireworks. I'm sure there will be the screeching of firetrucks soon enough and it's raining.
Honest ta GOD, it's raining.
The eggplant parmesan was great and we had our gossip session after dinner. We beat up the A's and laughed at ourselves for silly things. All my weebles are safe in their beds and we're looking forward to the 4th of July party on the lake one town over. I'll be cooking a lot on Friday and of course I'll be doing the meatball marathon. I'm also making a huge tray of stuffed cabbage by request.. Why? Because my children are half Polish. LOL! I'm trying to think of something different to bring as well, like Taco salad or a big Humus platter with triangles cut out of pita bread or some such. Any ideas? Maybe a platter of rollups?
BTW, When I asked last week, what non smokers do with their free hand, did someone here say "Stuff your face and eat anything that doesn't eat you first?" That's what my free hand is doing lately. I even broke down and bought potato chips. :punch: This auriculotherapy is unbelievable, but now I have to go to Weight Watchers.

we are really lucky every year because my mom knows the owner of one of the shops on main street here and so we get spots saved for us under their big awning, lol. my son loves the parades and this year he is finally tall enough to ride some of those rides at our cheap little small town carnival, so our plan is watch the parade, go home get in pool for a few, go to the carnival in the evening, then back to the park to watch the fire works.
and we have decided to name the little one Isaac Evan, hubby thought it went well with big brothers name Luukas Mikael

Wow, thanks... that video was so pitiful. The comments were interesting. Some say he fell in love. One said Jenny is a cold woman and he needed more. Hmmm. I don't know what I think, except to say his needs were obviously not being met. He committed emotional and economical suicide. He should have simply asked for a divorce. Money is the lynch pin IMO. Shouldn't mix that dirty green paper with love.
I think there are times with people of wealth, when love can't happen without that dirty green stuff. Love can't be threatened, I say, so if Miss Argentina loves him wealthy, she'll love him broke too. His best choice would be, forget politics, go to his "dear, dear friend" and take what ever goes with it. I saw him back peddling. Can't go back babycakes! Move on.
He should have said, I was not wrong for loving someone outside of my marriage. I was wrong for not ending the marriage I was not happy in before I reached out for someone to fill the void. I intend to continue being a father to my sons to whom I am morally obligated for the rest of their lives. What ever personal decisions I make are no one's business from that point on. (He should have called me to write his speech) :hat:
He can always sell hot dogs on a beach for a living. He may like it.

when my hubby and i first got together about 5 years ago, we weren't together very long before i got pregnant with our first son, and i found out he had finnish background. i thought that was interesting lol because i had never met anyone who was finnish before, so i perused a finnish baby name sight when i found out what we were having and found Luukas and Mikael (pronounced Mi-KALE) i have gotten so many weird looks for spelling Luukas that way, but it makes him just a touch more unique than a kid named Lucas lol. if we were having a girl it was going to be Braelyn or Brianna

That is really interesting J. I never knew anyone with a Finnish background either, but then again, I didn't know there were others besides Italians until recently.. (wink) I come from the land of meatballs and pizza pies.

I believe there are no pure kinds of nationalities left. My parents were Italian but my father always said, the wars mixed us all up. My father had the bluest eyes I ever saw. He said the Germans took the women. And I have mousy brown hair. I guess I have the map of Naples on my face, but his blue eyes got all over the kids. My kids are half Italian, Polish Irish French and Indian. Mutts yep. :) Beautiful mutts. Ahh Europe is all mixed up. Ireland ,Germany, France, Switzerland, Poland, England.. my mom could not understand why we did that but the way i see it is, the master bedroom is at the very back end of the house, the second largest bedroom where me and the hubby are is in the middle of the hallway, so if anyone were to break in to our house in the middle of the night at least we are in between them and our kids, makes me feel a whole lot safer ever since we did it, you read all these stories about kids being taken right out of their damn beds now and its terrifying.
plus he now has his own bathroom with all of his own stuff in it, he doesn't have to wander down the dark hallway at night to go to the potty anymore AND he has a nice little "dressing room" with all his toys that won't work on carpet. lol he is the boy who has everything i think, his room is an amazing array of Lightening McQueen decor and he has a TV with cable and a VCR to watch all his own movies. he is all excited now that his baby brother is gonna be sleeping in his room, and we even have sheets for the crib that match his bed, he told me today that we should paint the baby's crib red to match his red racecar bed LOL kid just cracks me up

I went to the deli yesterday in a huge market called Stop&Shop. As I was waiting for the clerk to cut the cheese I ordered, a guy pushed his carriage near me and it had one of these kiddie cars attached to it. In it was a gorgeous little girl around three years old. She was blond and looked like a genuine angel. He was around 30, blond curly hair, nice looking man. He spoke German to the little girl. She got out of the kiddie car while he was standing a few feet away from her and proceed play with the button on the ticket system which shot out deli number slips when you pushed the button.
I noticed the man walked away from the counter, my eyes followed him half way across the store where he was meandering around the produce area sorting out what he wanted.
The little girl saw that she was alone and smiled at me. My heart dropped because I knew she'd have gone off with just about anyone in a heartbeat. I talked with her and waited for her father to return. He was gone at least five minutes. Too long!!!!! When he got back to the deli counter I said, Your little girl is very beautiful. He answered with, Heh not bad for 15 minutes, you should see her mother she's even more beautiful.
I wanted to stick his head through the plate glass counter.

My sister in law is Korean, and in a crowded mall at Christmas, she let the little girls go ahead a few stores. I noticed and "tagged along", then later asked my hubby to have a talk with his brother about talking to the sil about life in the northern hemisphere. Too bad it has to be this way!
But...take a look back at your post, Nawny...like the last line, and then the first line of your signature...heehheee...do you see the irony?

LOL!! Actually I did see the irony when I wrote that post. I have to use that to keep from sticking heads through plate glass when they are putting kids in danger, or when they hurt a child. (Many stories) Poppa had to peel me off a man who hurt a little boy once in NYC. It's strange that I let people roll over me. I'm a real softy. But when I see a child getting hurt, I go ballistic. Even when someone hurts a child's feelings, I'm scary.
One day my DD was disciplining one of the weebles for a minor kid crime. She was correcting her and it was appropriate to do so. My weeble was very embarrassed. Tears fell down my face and I had to leave the room. It must be old age because I raised four kids and I disciplined them just fine. :o

Barack Hussein Obama was looking for a call girl.
He found three such girls in a local pub, a blonde, a brunette and a redhead.
To the blonde he said,
'I am the President of the United States.
Now how much would it cost me to spend some time with you?'
She replied, $200.'
To the brunette he asked the same question.
Her reply was $100.
He then asked the redhead....
Her reply was,
'Mr. President, if you can get my skirt up as high as my taxes, my pants as low as my wages, get that thing of yours as hard as the times we are living in, and keep it rising like the price of gas, keep me warmer than it is in my apartment and screw me the way you have retirees,
then it isn't going to cost you a damn cent !'

I don't know why so many people don't make sure their boys know how to keep a house and, seriously, cook. I knew many a guy in college who subsisted on Doritos and cans of green beans. gross.
So true. I've heard both daughter in laws say (many times) "I'm not your mother!" It's strange that boys expect to be waited on, but not really. I never saw my father near a kitchen sink or a stove. Oddly, the best chef's in the world are men.

:) I had that Allarest stuff with me. It wasn't too bad this year. Waking up in Disney was so nice. The green is so green and the flowers, are so beautiful. I loved drinking my cawffee out on the porch of the condo in the early hours of the morning watching all the underground sprinklers spraying the trees. It was so dreamy. I love Disney!
It's wet out here this morning. :( Looks like it rained again last night. My view of the side yard looks like the rain forest. I'm expecting Tarzan and Chita to come swinging through.

Ugh, disgusting. He doesn't deserve her. Sounds familiar, I wonder if the Ants have relatives from Germany......

I've been getting caught up in so many Michael Jackson videos today. So darn interesting. After listening to his father being interviewed, I don't blame him for checking out. MJ was not of earth, not this earth anyway. I never gave him a real lot of thought but he was somethin else, jeeze! An odd duck for sure. I couldn't help feeling the excitement when I was watching him perform, which I never really did before this. I wasn't that big of a fan, (I hated what he did to his face) but he is indeed a legend.

Only 12K? Hmmm, not such a high price for a last supper.

Not good.

PLease tell me she's nuts, and what would you do?
So, my next door neighbor seems to think she can come into my back yard at will. Over the last couple of years: 1)First, she was running around back there in her underwear looking for her cat. When I opened the door to see who was there, she was all, "oh, its just me!" (don't care, get off my land). 2) Then I got out of the shower to find guys on ladders peering into my windows. Arborists, "she" told them they could come into our yard. They would not leave until I threatened to call the cops. 3) underwear, cat again. I put a padlock on the only gate to the yard 4) today! I look out in the yard and there is a ladder balanced against our side of the fence, like a nice doggy escape ramp. I called hubby, what did you do?! He didn't do it, but he heard neighbor calling her cat back in that area. Its not even our ladder.
So, she is on my land again without permission. I have a 75 lb dog who likes to protect his yard and/or escape. She could not have come in through the gate, as it is padlocked. She had to either a) go over the 8' fence or b) break out some boards and then replaced them. But left her ladder.
Should I call the cops so THEY can explain to her about trespassing laws? What would you guys do? Short of rock salt in the 12 gauge, I mean...

call the cops!!! i would, and if that doesn't convince the nutball that she doesn't belong on your property then i would start setting traps. living where i do we have problems with trespassing people, mostly tweekers and delinquents, using our property for shortcuts, and i quit calling the cops a long time ago, i just go and chase em off now, but also we do not have a fence enclosing our property, if you have a fence and a gate and she is still going into your yard then i would at least give the cops one chance to tell her to back off, then all bets are off, just make sure you put up a no trespassing sign

Okay ladies, some more on the good govenor. He is a member of the SC Air National guard. Now, buy the Military Uniform Code of Justice, he is guilty of adultery. I think we have enough proof of that. Let us see if his commander does the right thing. Under Military Law, he is subject to punishment up to and incuding dishonorable discharge. He should have thought of that.
Now, also it is adultery is also against SC State Law. One year in prison or $500 fine. (old law that is not used much anymore) Some say we are behind the times but in this case I think we are right on.

I ended up downloading the trespassing regs from the city site and duct taping them to the ladder. Then I wrote "to whomever put this ladder in my yard: please note that the next time, I will call the police. Please do not make a 'next time'." And I photographed it for evidence. So when she gets it, she will get a final warning.
Since she only ends up in my yard in her undies, I do hope she is nursing some large splinters today! (most of us do not run around outside in a t-shirt and panties, right? I don't even remember people doing that in college!)

I think I can guarantee they will do nothing. Friend in the AF actively tried to get the "other man" prosecuted for adultery, the AF did absolutely nothing and basically made him jump through hoops, not the other guy. Our military is not what it used to be. He was very disappointed.
As far as SC law: it is clearly a breach of contract-why should that not be illegal? I hope they dust off that law and apply it. Do you want him out of office, deacon?

YES. And I voted for him. He is a hypocrite. he talks about saving money and then steals money from the state to go there? And yes, this is State National Guard, not the AF. There is a big difference. AG is an elected position. If the AG pushes it it will be done.

BoB - I'm guessing that your dog is outside when she comes around, right? Report it, but I know it's not easy getting the police to take this kind of thing seriously, it's not like she's stealing from you.
Years ago I had neighbors, 3 houses down, that would come up the back of every one's property to see my baby lambs that were on the back of my property. They would scare the still pregnant sheep and the new moms and that would annoy the border collies. The parents and the kids sneaking over then complained they were afraid of the dogs to the police! The police came and walked my little farm. My entire acreage is fenced in. The sheep were again fenced in two acres. The dogs could not and would not leave the property. The neighbors were then told, by the police, that they were the problem, not my dogs.

I'm playing catch up, too. Last Monday, DD had a lap chole, got her home on Tues and later that night, one of my sisters called me @ work to inform me Daddy had fallen and broken his hip. They brought him to the town I work in, he had surgery Wed, and just was returned near their home to a swing bed facility today. He's 88, Mom's 82 or so. Good thing there are 6 of us girls, and all are back in the area, so there was always someone to be there for Mom. I told the people @ the hospital, I am a family member, not a nurse in this instance, so they were to take care of Daddy. There were some pretty frustrating moments--he got all stoked up on the morphine, add that he just had major surgery w/anesthetic, and he can't hear worth a darn--now THAT was interesting!!! I never knew Daddy could be belligerent, he rarely even raised his voice when we were kids. He said GD THREE times in one evening, I don't think I had heard him say that 3 times in my life!!!!

Some of us did some hiking up in Mt. Charleston-beautiful and only 78 degrees. We helicoptered over lake Mead,Hoover Dam and of course visited both on foot. Had to bin at least 115. So much H2O and only a cocktail when in for the night. Did the strip one night-wow getting sleazy down there even in the nice section. I cant remember what else we did as i am tard-we left vegas at 10 p.m. last night and arrived in our driveway at 7ish this morning with the time change. Slept a bit but up so i can get back on track. Thanks Nawny-good to be back-the New Yawkers flew onward home with us today. So we are tired. We spent some time with my sister and BIL in Boulder and had a great time. It's all good :seeya:
Fantastic!!! That's living honey! We all need to do more of that! Next time, I'm coming with you :) For a Canadian you spend more time playing in the USA than I do! LOL!

I'm a little late on this but I would call the police. You don't know for sure that she put the ladder there and the police should be the ones to ask. My neighbors once found a ladder in their yard, their house was in the process of being robbed but they interrupted the thieves.
It was her, confirmed by a request for the ladder back. But your point is very good, I should not have assumed. It could have been a bad guy, true, rather than a weirdo...

I don't even remember people doing that in college!)
oh no. when I first moved in here I would use the back door and deck to beat my throw rugs outside and then I would lock myself out. Of course I was wearing nighties and would have to throw myself into the kitchen window but I am pretty sure someone had to have seen me. thank goodness I was many years younger LOL.

The neighbors were then told, by the police, that they were the problem, not my dogs.
good for the police. It is great when they take the right side and care. sara

Oh, I couldn't leave this one alone.
That man (and I use the term loosely) doen't know the difference between love and lust. He fell in lust with this woman, not love. You don't fall in love with a person, you decide to love them. First you are attracted to some quality that the person has and then you either decide to love them or not. Lust, sometimes, plays into the attraction but most often does not lead to true love. You know the kind of love where a woman doesn't mind when her husband has a recuring bout with the "done lap" desease. His belly done lapped over his belt. Or when a man does not measure his love for his wife according to her measurements. Or when you find out the small things you didn't know about someone when you marry them and begin to live with them and they really are different when they first wake up and you love them all the same.
Love is a decision, not an emotion. At least the love that lasts a lifetime. Like the love a wife has for her husband when he goes through a mid-life crisis and wants to buy new toys like sports cars or motorcycles or take up a new hobby to prove to himself he is still young. Like the love that a man still has for his wife when she goes through the change of life and is a little crabby sometimes. The love when you put your spouse FIRST instead of right after what you want at that moment. Oh, I could go on but I won't. I teach Sunday School and this is one of my lessons that I use from time to time. The first time I used it I thought one guy was going to the preacher about the way I taught it. He went home that night and read the scripture I used and prayed about it. Good thing he didn't go to the preacher, he thinks the same way I do.
He fell in lust and can not really admit he messed up. He wants to put a reason in there for messing up. That does not work. He is only giving excuses not reasons. In this subject I do not accept excuses, only reasons.

Hmmm, Love, my favorite subject. I think I know what you mean here deacon, but I am sure it is a man's perspective. :)
What this guy did is nothing new. Yep, lust! It is a powerful draw when a man is not in love with his wife. It is a high feeling and a compelling force. This is often going to happen when you stay married for the wrong reasons. IMO (of course) I don't know that it is possible to decide to NOT love someone you love. We do at times, throw the word "love" around too loosely. I'll venture a guess that the gov does not love his wife. I believe that when we discover that we don't love our mate, and we break ties with them, the central lie is staying where your heart doesn't want to be. And I know from experience that anything real cannot be threatened. When a separation is forced, by war, death or some other circumstance love doesn't die.

Ephesians Chapter 5, Verse 25
25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,
Too many men look at this verse and stop there without understanding what is says. To best understand it we need to go read Jesus’ prayer in the garden before his death. He prays to the Father about the happenings of the next day. There are three things that we need to understand about this prayer. First He never questions the Father’s purpose of Him being on earth which is to pay the price for sin that only He could pay. That would give birth to the church that is mentioned. Second is that He put the Father’s will first. Husbands must put God first. Third, He says this one more time after asking if there was another way to do this, which of course He knew there wasn’t. This sets His priorities for life. He put God first, He put the church (people who believed in Him) second and He put his wants last.
A husband MUST put God first. He MUST put his wife second. He MUST put himself after several other things including his children.
Sanford did not do this. I do not do it perfectly and in fact no where near perfect BUT I am growing in this all the time. He(Sanford) claims to be a Christian and then does not even seem to try to live the life God wants him to live in the family aspect. Now does he? He never came close. He has now admitted other things he has done in the past.
Verse 28 continues:
28In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church— 30for we are members of his body. 31"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
You see, when a lot of preachers preach this they leave this part out and it is just as much of an instruction as the other. You see, this part clearly shows how much value I MUST put on my wife and her needs and wants. They are the same as mine. These actions come form a decision, not emotions. This comes from two sermons presented by my pastor and his wife and three trips to marriage retreats with my wife including numerous classes.

Sadly enough, she didn't until this came up.:( She is a class lady from what I know about her. In fact, I think we should run his sorry assonthething out and let her be govenor. At least she seems to tell the truth.
Marrige is a covenant. A life-long contract with another human being. We take it too lightly now. Before anyone jumps my rear, God does not nor has he ever, intended for a woman to stay in an abusive relationship. He loves us too much for that. He does, however, intend for us to think about the other first. Jesus said, "I did not come to earth to be served but to serve." We need to follow that example. See why the guy in Sunday School didn't like what I had to say? He took a text out of context which make it a pretext. Or something like that. My favorite professor told us that in Bible class many times. She was a wise lady.

imo, this is why the divorce rate is so high. People are confused an think if they are not panting with lust, that the relationship is over. Cue the revolving door.

And since I'm complaining...Michael Jackson. They have postponed his funeral. You know what this means? I can guarantee it will take place when I am down there, and in the worst possible place for my fun. Can you imagine anything worse than being caught up in THAT zoo?

Hi Sara :seeya: Yes it is pretty sweet. Flew back tho on the other airline-first time with that one-Oh lordy-cramped and plane was so dirty. I do carry those handy wipes. Other than the free ticket i would never fly that airline again-starts with an S. I prefer northwest. We got home safely so guess thats all that matters. Off to work here shortly.
handy wipes??? is that what Detective Monk carrys on his tv show? LOL I know about those trips. we have had a few like that Knees in chest and everything. But I am so glad you got away and did cool stuff........sara

New article about our good govenor's mental state.
I'm not seeing the similarities between this guy and Clinton. Clinton was operating on the sex only train. This guy is emotional. Clinton didn't give his fling the common courtesy of a poetic email, he just used her as a receptacle.
I also think. That article is beyond ridiculous. There is nothing left to analyze. He's mentally ill??? GMAB!! A narcissist? Baloney! He fell into the "tender trap" is what he did. Sin? Yeah. Cardinal sin? Maybe. Deadly sin? Well, it isn't about saving babies. He fell from grace. He didn't kill anyone. I defy any one of those political pigs to refuse a romp in the hay with a sexy, beautiful Argentinian hoochie momma. They're all fallible. (Unless they're on Blood Pressure meds)
The Gov's biggest sin IMO is hypocrisy. He should step down before all those glass houses shatter and mess up the White House. :patriot:

How on earth could the 2 compare?? I really don't think Sarah Palin has tried to tell anyone to live a righteous life and then pull such a stunt. :cuss:
Thanks Nawny-good to be back-the New Yawkers flew onward home with us today. So we are tired. We spent some time with my sister and BIL in Boulder and had a great time. It's all good :seeya:
Oh, the Las Vegas strip. Man, I gotta get some of that cawfeeee in me. I kept reading that, thinking WHO did the strip, as in strip tease!!! Sounds like you all packed a lot of action into your trip. I can only imagine how tired you are--I'm tired just reading it all!! lol. Good company, good fun, you can't beat that!!!
Ha!!!! Nothing is new then. Chit sounds good to me!!! Our flight was overbooked se we opted to take the perk offered-sent over to Northwest delta who is our airline of preference. Reimbursed on our tickets one way. Bumped to first class-SWEET and a free round trip ticket good for one year. Bonus was we got in 20 minutes earlier so what a perk and no brainer. Hmmm wonder where i could use my free ticket ;) FLA? A liar conflab
Wheeler-dealers to boot, lol. What a deal. Hmmm.....perhaps we should all be chanting for the trial to happen during your time to use the free round trip ticket. That would be a great way to use it!!!!

The critter calls another woman his "soul mate", but says he's "trying to fall back in love" with his wife?! What insanity is that?!
Geesh!!! "A rambing press conference" is a mild statement. I was listening to I think Hannity, and I tho't we were listening to a statement or two of his pc, thinking it would surely be short, sweet, and to the point. NOT!!!! I finally turned the dial, and about 10 minutes later, went back and he was STILL on, saying pretty much a lot of nothing.
If I was his wife, and the part of his having a mistress wasn't a deal breaker, the inane statement about the mistress being his soul mate, but trying to fall back in love w/me---now THAT would put him out of the running FOREVER!!!! Now, if he THO'T that, that would be one thing, but to say that to all the public--humiliating and embarrassing--and he would be GONE!!! I'd probably even try to find a way he could never see the kids again, citing preventing them from being exposed to stupidity or something.
imo, this is why the divorce rate is so high. People are confused an think if they are not panting with lust, that the relationship is over. Cue the revolving door.
What deacon said. So well put. And, when did people come to the conclusion that marriage is supposed to be on long fun-filled, sex-filled experience? When did people forget that marriage is WORK. To forsake all others? Well, I guess I know the answer to that. Kind of started in the 60's with all the free love. And it didn't help when we went into Me Me Me mode--teaching kids that they matter more than anyone else in the world, they don't have to consider anyone else's feelings. Of course, this movement went way beyond the marriage vows to include not caring who you trampled on to get where you want to be. To include, lie, cheat, steal to get where you want to be.

What people do not understand is once you attain that level in politics there is no private life. Zip, zilch, nada. You are a public official emphasis on public. He has left the govenor's residence 48 times in the last year without proper security coverage. Hmmmm, I wonder why. Remember the statements about "other women?" We really don't know how many. Well, Bristol Palin did get her diploma, so good for her on that count...and non-abstinence birth control also fails, since it also depends on the kids using it, and lots of the time, they can't even remember to feed the cat.
But I do wish Clinton would have been the nominee on the Demo side. I didn't think so during the campaign, but realized it toward the end, and certainly now...

I thought I'd faint when I found out there is catsup and Campbell's tomato soup in the mix. Gawd forbid! But that's what makes them so good. You mix white rice, ground pork, chopped onions, catsup, tomato soup and pepper. No salt, as the Campbell's soup has enough of that. After they're all rolled and placed in a casserole dish, take a can of campbell's tomato soup and a can of water, mix, and pour it over them and bake for an hour. I could eat 10 of them. They're like potato chips.

Sure did. I didn;t expect that after everyone talking about him being "lethargic" at rehearsals. Maybe that was lethargic for him? I dunno. but he sure didn't look like someone who was about to die. Maybe he was taking uppers to perform and needed downers to sleep? This will be worse than Anna Nicole, imo...
I don't envy the kids: caught between a bio-mother who seems to have sold them to a possible pedophile, and a family they are not bio-related to but knows them, and then the wild card of heinous Joe in the mix...yikes.

I wanted to let you all know what's going on in my neck of the woods.
We are moving to the town I group up in and graduated from. I know I don't write much on here anymore mostly due to there not being anything new to discuss but I won't even be able to read for a little while we move. We move in August 1st.
How this all cam about: My oldest son got an invitation to wrestle at my old towns wrestling camp this summer. The coach was so adament about him wrestling that he called me personally and offered to give us a 50% discount if I would let my son wrestle for them. I agreed so we started making the 45 minute drive every Monday and Wednesday to wrestling. The coaches have taken a great liking to my son and have offered him a position on their team for the wrestling season. My husband has been given the webmaster position, asked to be a coach and made part of the board. So we are moving back. This is a wonderful opportunity for both my husband and son. I'm very happy and excited to show my kids my old stomping grounds.
I have been able to sign my son up for football and my daughter for cheerleading today which takes a load off of me because they would have both been not so happy if they couldn't do football this year.
The house we are getting is just PERFECT for us. It is a 4 bedroom farm house that was built in the 1700's. I LOVE the old country houses with all the charm. There is about 2.5 acres of land for the kids to play on. And it's in our price range. We went and put down the money for it yesterday. The papers will be drawn up next week. I hope I get them by Thursday because Thursday is when I have to go to the district office and fill out all the paperwork to switch my kids' school. They need proof of residency.
I have soooo much to do and it seems like not a lot of time to do it but I am trecking along. I have almost the entire house packed up already. I have everything set up for the kids' sports, and I have the appointment to switch schools. I still have tons to do but I'm making progress.
I am begining to feel old because this new school district has 5th grade in the middle school. So instead of having a 5th grader I have a middle school student! CRAZY!!!!
I hope you are all well and I miss talking to you guys. I've just been super busy.

All good news and you seem so happy. That's great and good luck in the new house - sounds wonderful. Now you need to get a couple of pygmy goats so mow your grass.

LoL about the goats! Not a bad idea! Our riding mower has a flat tire so I know we'll need to do something to get that grass mowed. (probably get a new tire though ; )) I am happy! I'm sooooo happy! All my friends live there. Im going to have friends again! Can you imagine? REAL friends lol. Everything is just falling together so nicely now. The first part of this year was rough but it seems to be turning around. I hope I didn't jinx myself by writing that. Where we live now is just so different. I try to teach my kids my morals and values but it seems like everyone around here is totally opposite. I'm glad we are moving back to a palce where my kids will learn what's really important in life. To be good people. My son's wrestling coach gave a speech the first night after practice. He told all the boys that he doesn't care if their records are 0-33 as long as they are good respectable people in school and respect their parents at home, they are good people and when they walk into that wrestling room they are good people. He said their wrestling record doesn't prove their self worth. I thought to myself that's what we've been missing! Nobody around here is like that. Makes you wonder why around here they only have 1 state champ and the place we're moving has 18! It's because the coaches give the boys the self esteem to WANT to do good! Anyway it's going to be good to move back.

We were supposed to go camping but I have a cold and DH has a sore back. So we are going to sit around and barbecue and eat and sleep and check out the fireworks. I would have liked to go up north. It is only an hour away and by an excellent lake with a lot of trees. we might not have found a spot anyways. At least we will not have any rain this weekend. Have you recovered from your vacation? Wonderful news! I did that too. Married and lived in a city 2 hours away from my own stomping grounds and moved back 14 years later. It was better. We can't go to Sonoma this year, so we are going to barbeque, blast patriotic music in the backyard, then hose the roof down and watch the illegal fireworks light up the northern sky. I sense a LOT of our neighbors have been making the drive to the explosive factories on the Indian reservations! Hence the roof hosing. Oh, and keeping the dog calm. He's losing it from the m80's people are already setting off.

It'll have to come from my bff, sadly. Her distant cousins are visiting from the Philippines, so OF COURSE they have to go to Disneyland on Tuesday, and she was unwillingly named the concierge for THAT fiasco...so they will be driving right through the funeral and the ensuing chaos. I am the newshound, so she is checking with me on venue updates to map a plan around the mess...so while she is the concierge, I am now the event coordinator. I suppose I should be grateful to be needed.

If she really did quit because her children needed her, then good for her and I respect that. But if she quit so that she can coordinate a run for president...I can't respect that. She ran for governor and was elected, that is a commitment. You finish what you start, imo.
So I withhold judgment on it until I see what she does. Not that I am losing sleep either way, of course. My mom hates her and gets all agitated over her. I don't know why one should spend such energy, but  meh

I don't like Palin either. I think she's a super opportunist. But hey, what politician isn't? Someone ought to tell her, she has little kids, one very needy and she should know you can't jump half way off a bridge. If she's running for prez, she won't make it. The world isn't ready for a president that is in mid air. Raising children is a full time job. If her kids live with a nurse, she'll die with one. They won't be there. IMO.

LOL!! It's been raining almost non stop since May Sara! This is very strange. At this time of year it should be very hot with temps in the high 70's and 80's. I don't understand this weather. The East coast is a mess of overgrown foliage and my squirrels are really wearing life jackets. My grass just got cut last week and it's overgrown already.
Yesterday I began to worry about those who work outdoors like, landscapers, painters, contractors. I actually said a prayer for them. Today it was such a tease because the sun was blaring and everything dried. By noon, the thunder and lightening started and there was a torrential downpour. It's still raining in RI. The mosquito population is going to be horrendous tomorrow if it doesn't' train. I'm going to bring the OFF with me to the outing.

The fireworks started already in my neighborhood.
The idiots kitty-corner and across the street were aiming them right for the front of my house, and my dogs were beside themselves with terror.
I had them both in bed with me, in my arms under the covers, and I thought the were going to shake the bed frame apart.

Palin is yaking again. According to day's news, her rep is saying she's quitting because she's been targeted, and claims the governor was forced to backtrack on her decision to reject federal stimulus funds, her pick for attorney general was rejected by an increasingly hostile legislature, and her personal life has continued to grab headlines.
I doubt she is going to run for prez. She can't take the heat as Gov, so what would happen if she became president? She might quit her job and leave America in the lurch! And more than that, she messed things up for a female who is competent enough to be the president because all the big boys will suspect women of doing a bailing out under emotional pressure. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-angry016.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php)
Ahem..... does she really think they will get off her case now that she's stepping down? They will find her lover, watch! He's in there somewhere!

Somebody needs to smear a big old ball-gag with Gorilla Glue and shove it in her mouth.

Everytime she opens up, BS pours out...talking out her azz.
Same goes for all the Antonys.
Of course the balls would have to be MUCH BIGGER for all of them.

That's indeed true MP but they hear the fireworks all over the neighborhoods. Poor kids :(
Right. Didn't think of that. Here they start on Indepence Day (Israel Indpendence Day) Eve and go on to the next evening.
Oh they do donuts and naps in your world too Sammy? They're too lazy to make reports too. Fireworks are big business. I've known cops who confiscate the fireworks and then set them off on their own property. Basturds. :(
Not a cop story, but a letter-carrier story. Back during the '73 War, my future SO and subsequent ex was doing volunteer work at the postal sorting station, as most of the men aged 18-55 were somewhere in the war. She caught a couple of really old guys (I mean who else was left?) on tea break reading really hard core porn. She called them on it, and they decided to let her in on the secret -- they showed her what the called The Lost Ark, where all the mail that couldn't be delivered by law because of pornographic or political context was put. I don't think they bothered too much with the political stuff, but they sure had a good time with the porn...

Aww, I know! There is one weeble who worries about the fireworks. She is 4 years old. The other day she said, "Nawny do you have some earplugs I can use for the fireworks party? I don't like those fireworks nawn." I felt so bad. So I'm bringing her the earplugs today. :(
Back when my big one was the only one we went to Disney and he, out of nowhere, decided that the fireworks were terrifying, back when he was 2. He'd always loved them, but he picked Disneyland to decide they were a bad thing. Awe-inspiring timing...but I am bringing earplugs this time, just in case...

Ahem..... does she really think they will get off her case now that she's stepping down? They will find her lover, watch! He's in there somewhere!

This is one of the most mystifying moves ever. I listened to her statement, and frankly, I am waiting for the real reason, know what I mean? (Hey Zingo, you out there? You got a theory?)
She might just have ADD. Didn't she go to something like 5 universities as an undergrad? I really don't get it. Why? If this was done to enable a run for president, epic fail! Not the way to do it, imo...

I'm not a Palin fan, nor a Palin hater.
But I do find it interesting that there is more enthusiasm for shutting her up with a ball gag than, say, Sanford or one of the bigger idiots out there. Is it more okay to shut a woman up? It feels like there's a different tenor in the criticisms of her than a male politician...just sayin'...
