I am so sorry. Will definitely send up a prayer.
Thank you J.D. I'm so glad I can come here for extra prayers.
I love this pic of Chocolate, it looks sooo good. My Dad is a big Chocoholic, he is 92 and says he loved it since he was a little boy, he would get 5 cent and go buy 5 Tootie Rolls and he felt like he was in heaven. Even now he must eat a few pounds of it a week. At his age he really dosen't want much in the way of gift so we all buy him Chocolate. I just had his Sugar levels checked ant they are fine so he can eat it as much as he wants.
Moral to the story, You are never to old to EAT CHOCOLATE.:D
Perhaps look into the effect chocolate has on longevity? Now, if it were proven that those who eat chocolate (a lot!!! lol) live longer and healthier lives--wouldn't that put the lot of you over the top!!! :)
Our head wrestling coach was killed in a car accident last night. Please keep his wife and children in your prayers. My husband and son are just devastated.:rose:

By CARLA DI FONZO, Staff WriterGarden Spot wrestling coach Thomas M. Hecker was killed Sunday night in a one-car accident in Brecknock Township.
"He was good at his job," said district Superintendent Robert Hollister. "He was well-liked by the kids and parents."
Hecker, 44, was in his third season as Garden Spot's wrestling coach. He took over at the start of the 2006-07 season when former wrestling coach Matt Zamperini became the school's football coach.
"When Tom came in, he took the ball running and made the team great," said Ed Yapsuga, Garden Spot's assistant athletic director. "The program was small, but he stepped everything up with the junior and varsity teams and made it something bigger."
This year, Garden Spot is 12-6 overall, and is in second place in Section 2, with a 5-2 record.

State police in Ephrata said Hecker was driving west on Panorama Drive at about 10:30 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the road.
Hecker's car drove into the front yard of a house in the 400 block of Lauschtown Road and struck a tree head on.
On impact, the car rotated and hit a Dumpster on the driver's side.
Hecker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Yapsuga said Hecker's death was announced this morning to the teachers at Garden Spot
"Then later, they called the wrestling team into the school's community room," Yapsuga said. "They let the kids know what happened, and gave them a place to be when the news broke."
Hecker is survived by his wife, Colleen, and two children: a son Mike, who is a freshman at Duquesne University, and a daughter, Sara, who is a 10th-grader at Garden Spot.

I have a couple of pieces of news to report tonight. My little GGD just took her first 3 steps. She was born June 14 and is only 7 1/2 months old! Where do these kids get it. Mine didn't walk til a year or more! My other GGD walked at 8 months. Don't know what theyre feeding them nowdays.
The other is a lot more serious. My niece's husband will leave tomorow around noon for Iraq. This will be his third tour. They have 3 children and it is hard on them, especially the youngest. She is Dadddy's little girl. Last time when he was gone she got a goldfish and she wanted to name it Daddy. Just broke my heart. So please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. TIA

Thank you. Yes he was too young. My son was crying before bed tonight about it. I really hope it wasn't related to alcohol but I suspect it was because it was on superbowl night. My son overheard me saying that to my dad and he screamed at me "he doesn't drink! He's not allowed to. He's a wrestler!" Oh the impact it will have if it comes out to be true.

That is sad. Hopefully if alcohol was involved, this can somehow be used as an example for the kids. It's a bitter pill to swallow, but coach's team will come to grips with it with support. Realism is key here, and at least your boy has that going on in the parent department. God bless ya!

My 20 y/o was about a year when she walked. I usually carried her everywhere, and tho't the problem was cuz I hadn't really put her down to even try to walk. She was, of course, pulling herself up and walking holding on to the furniture, tho, just not letting loose and walking alone.
Thank your niece's husband for all that he does to protect our freedom God bless him, and his family who stands behind him.

TIAJustice I will definately keep them in my prayers. For the little GGD that walked at 8 months, my mom kept us in the play pen for ever and thought that if we walked too early we would be bow legged. As you probably guessed I am a 50 something baby boomer. My husband and all his brothers walked early, my girls walked at 1 year, and my big boy started walking at 9 months, so we blew Mom's theory out the window. :rose:

Hey, since this is a "anything goes" thread, I would like to know what y'alls thoughts are on Obama's stimulus package, and why or why not you support it. I am at the point where I don't understand why the Republican party (and I am Republican, by the way) all voted against it, other than a Dem. being Pres. I like the idea, and am baffled by all of this hogwash. (oh, and I DID vote for Obama. There was something about Mccain that bothered me.)

Might be the vast quantities of pork. I want a stimulus package, but this crap sandwich isn't it. Maybe they should have Dianne Feinstein running things, not Nancy Pelosi.
And kind of on the same topic: Does ANYONE in Washington pay taxes? They ALL must just rofltao every April 15 as us suckers ante up trustingly.
ps, good avatar. Getting famous off this case is probably what Casey fantasizes about...
Ha, good one about Nanci Pelosi, and I agree. I listen to talk radio a lot (with Glen Beck, he is AWESOME) and he shares these same views about Washington never paying the taxes, but sure makes sure that everyone else does true, dat!!!

I, for one, am PLEASED that the men representing my state voted against not only THIS stimulus package, but also the bailout of the Freddie Mac and his sister Fannie Mae. These "packages" had SOOOOO much pork in them, it's not even funny. There are so many industries, organizations, etc receiving MILLIONS of dollars, I'm surprised there was any money left for Freddie and Fannie. When they tell the American people about any bill, package, or whatnot, they should tell the American people about ALL of the bills within the bill--and you just might be surprised to find YOUR tax dollars going to something that goes against your values, your religious beliefs, your morals.

I don't know the name of the program, it was after 4:30 on HLN. But a lady called in and said her hubby had forgotten to add her $300 disability or some kind of payment when he did their taxes. They had a registered letter from the IRS that informed them they owed $500 additional taxes, and explained how, @ certain time intervals, there will be a penalty added and they would owe thousands of $$ on this "oversight" if we use the words so graciously used for Gienther (sp) and the others who didn't pay THOUSANDS in taxes.
You'd better believe that, if this was a republican President, or a republican nominee (whether named by a Dem or Rep Pres) the nominee would be boiled in oil!!!! I absolutely CANNOT BELIEVE that the man who will oversee the IRS system did NOT bother to pay his OWN taxes.
That being said, I had not previously been enamoured much by Diechel, but I do admire him for turning down this post. And, the woman, Killebran? Don't remember the position, but she also stepped down. Again, honorable decisions.

Thats great to hear about Rileys case..1 down 1 more to go...and then Riley will have her justice...shes touched my heart and Grandma my prayers will alway be with her...shes such a sweet lady..:rose:...I heard the samething about JBR I really hope with this they truly find her killer...

Wow 2 hours eh. Is there some new evidence did they say on the Ramsey case?
IIRC, sometime recently (don't know when) there was new DNA found on the sides of the waistband on Jon-Benet's thermals. This DNA matched that in the panties. Has anyone ever heard before that her hyman showed "chronic" molestation. That was new to me.

Has anyone here ever had a "Bone Density" test? I know what it is for, I just don't know what anyone can do about it. For the past three winters, I've been having aches and pains. I figure it's because I'm in my late 50's and arthritis runs in my family. I probably have osteoporosis too but I refused the bone density test. My doctor hates me. I don't buy into Western medicine, though they did save my life once.
Just wondering if anyone knows what they offer to cure melting bones.
Thanks.
PS I won't even go into why I don't want an anal probe either. ;) Don't refuse that test. ! My mother had osteoporosis and it can be a crippling disease . Back when she had it medications were not really available to help anything but pain, now they have meds you can take on a bi monthly or even a monthly basis that really restore bone health or at least stop the deterioraton. It is an easy test and if you have it don't wait until it cripples you. That is my advice.

It flails all over the place AND po's our trading partners to top it off. Canada-not happy! And at least the std testing has been removed from the bill. Madness. How does everyone feel about the Cow-killing provision?
Some of this stuff might be good, but not for this bill. Surgical strike the economy, people, don't make a piggy wish-list...okay, I'm ranting, sorry, I'm scared...
I totally agree on this. This is not the time nor the bill to be putting your little private wish list on and all that pork and pet projects. Just put in only what will help restore jobs, do true infracstructure maintenence and get the economy going. This has been a huge problem in Washington that bills are padded with private , neighborhood goodies and we are all paying out the ass for it and it just erodes public confidence, Keep this bill clean, clean clean

From what the market mavens were saying for the past two days on CNBC, it was the Buy America part of the package that was going to kill the economy. I think that message was loud and clear to anyone with a lick of sense. There is nothing wrong with the bill if they cut out all the personal projects and fat but they can't possibly pass it as it is.

I have a question about troll posters so I guess it goes on here. Why do people go on message boards or forums and purposely try to look ill informed or idiotic? There are so many smart people on these boards and although we don't always agree, at least we try to argue our interpretation of the facts. I am serious, what kind of satisfaction would someone get by purposely trying to look dumb? I would much rather be seen as smart and informed and rational. Anyone have any ideas? Is it one of the things where even negative attention is good?

I had read somewhere that her mother took her in for physical checkups on the average of 6 a year and the doctor never reported anything unusual.

Unfortunatley, I am at the mercy of not having cable, so I only get local channels with that converter box thing, so I don't get CNBC, CNN, or any of those news by the hour channels. I work and go to school, and hardly ever get to watch tv, so I am at the mercy of hearing about what is going on from others. So thanks for your view on things.

And of whom are you speaking of here? If you are referring to my wanting to know things, that does NOT mean that I am a troll poster, ill informed, or even idiotic. That is offensive for you to assume that. I have been on this site for quite awhile, and have a good reputation. If it isn't me that you are referring to, then my appologies.
Unfortunately, only after they got caught. True honor would have been paying, or next step, asking not to be nominated...
But I think we all know that if we schlubs had a six-figure tax problem, we'd be in the Big House, and I do not mean the one on Capitol Hill...
Exactly. Wonder if this was Nancy Grace, or Hannity, or Rush, or Glenn Beck, or Chris Matthews? Bet it would be BIG HEADLINE news if any of these, or even "celebrities" like Patrick Swayze or Tom Cruise were found to be not paying their taxes. Bet there would be some big penalties and possibly jail time. Look @ poor Redd Foxx--his celebrity status didn't protect HIM.
If it was just a regular Joe or Jane, bet the penalty would have included jail time.

There are people who just want to see how quickly they can get a board shut down, or @ least locked for a time. I don't know why they get their jollies from this, but it must do something for them. "Lookie here!!! I'm good enough to get a board shut down!!!!" I guess they don't get enough attention or affirmation in real life that even the negative attention thrills them.

I don't think mu was referring to you, or any of the posters here. On the discussion only thread, there was reference to a thread where it seems a troll was posting. (Haven't gotten to check it out, hope it's still there when I get a chance.) I figured that was who mu was referring to.

Hi
I've been reading all of your posts on both boards. I'm not posting because my key board has been coffee'd. It Takes a long time to put a post together because I have to copy paste letters. There are several letters that don't work. Spell check helps put them together, but it's a pain. I'm waiting for Dell to ship my new laptop. I'll have to change my screen name, but I'll tell you it's me. I'm grateful that I didn't lose my important stuff on MS word.
I want so much to comment on NG's show last night but I have to wait. Poppa's desktop is in use, so I can't use it .. His PC is hooked up to his office in the city and if I open it, he can't get his mail there.
Anyway I hate the atmosphere in his office here in the house. It's his Pig Boy room. I keep the door shut. Keep writing those great posts! I love it!
This took me over 5 minutes to write coherently...
I wanted to say, I'm sorry about A&O's sad news and welcome the new posters.
I also wanted to mention that I thought, before last week that Cindy was visiting George often. I guess not huh? I hope he stays in the hosp and can't participate in the civil hearing. Yes, plead the 5th liars! Oh yeah.
Cawffee spiller :o
Good to see you! Can you get a new keyboard, or was it a laptop that got coffeed?
I don't think Cindy visited George at all beyond seeing him at the ER that first day that he was admitted. Could be wrong.

Oh yeah, my toddler sees way too much of that Boneva commercial. He saw it, turned around and said, "Mommy you need that. It good for old lady medicine!" NOT his most endearing moment! He's lucky he's cute.
But...at least do the bone density test. I mean, hey, get the information and then you can make a decision about what to do based on facts. Hey, maybe it won't even be needed.
Until then make sure you take a calcium supplement that has vitamin C in it, and either get at least 10 minutes of sun a day or take a vitamin D supplement. More than 70% of women have a vitamin D deficiency, can you believe it? And as an aside, there is a direct correlation being studied between vitamin D levels and breast cancer...sorry, I got started!

I very rarely listen to music or watch the music channels. I just spent over 20 minutes watching LATV (Spanish music). They had on a video program called Mex to the Max. Holy cow, was that guy hot and I don't even know his name and I don't care what the words to the song were. I know I heard corazon alot which means heart. The music videos were like mini movies. Each more romantic than the last. In the last one, the singer went into a building and he was riding on a beautiful black horse. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-shocked019.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

Loretta some day when ya got the time can u message me a good southern fried chicken recipe and one for pulled pork. I have tried up here but just not the same as the south. I luv it and cant quite get it perfected for when my southern son comes home on his visits from school. I would soooo appreciate and i know he would too.
Sorry, had to grab a ciggy and make Leroy's lunch. Can you believe that I don't fry chicken? I just cannot tolerate the mess, but love it. I have a rule that when I go out to eat, it has to be something that is better than what I can make at home; so it's fried chicken or spicy catfish for me! Or every once in a while we'll go somewhere and have a tasting menu with the wine selections.
For pork, I always use a butt roast seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika. Sear on all sides in olive oil and cook in the crockpot with chicken broth and parsley until it's falling apart.

Prior to the other day, the last movie I saw was "The Longest Yard" remake when it came out. Used to take the kids to the movies with the school discounts during the summer, but they always made fun of me falling asleep!!!

I hear ya-ice wine is way to sweet for me too. I like white and dry. I have just come to learn a bit and appreciate wines thanx to my wine store friend. Once a year i make wine with a girlfriend. We split on a case just before xmas. We have stores up here where you can go and make it. All that involves is pouring packets into your big container. In 4-6 weeks depending on what kind you make you then go in and bottle it. Machines do most of it but its fun and you always have it on hand when someone drops in or you need a token gift. Depending what kind u make it only works out to 3-4 $ a bottle. My neighbour built me a beautiful wine rack but can never seem to keep it filled. I need to stop giving it away and start enjoying more of it. I need to Bogart it HA!!!

Best BBQ- chicken wise has always been in the south. My sis is a great cook and given me many recipes for southern fried chicken-cant seem to find the same. I was so desperate on one of many trips to pick up our son from school for the summer i was eating it from pilot gas stations-luved it with the potato wedges. How sad is that. Big honkin pieces lol. Nothing like southern cooking-it's the best. Ribs i wont even go there. I got sent to a work thing 2 years ago to memphis-just happened to be there for the big ribfest. I think it was in May. Oh it was so so good.
I love BBQ ribs. I like the thin sauce, usually make mine with tomatoes (or juice) or V8, and lemon juice, lots of garlic and pepper, etc. We love tasting at Memphis in May, and even though I don't particularly like dry rub, we usually go to Charlie Vergos' Rendevous for BBQed lamb. There's some really good ribs in DeValls Bluff just this side of the Mississippi at Craig's. And THE BEST fried pies in the entire world across the street at The Pie Shop.

Thanx for the info-so good to know. I prefer the sauce too. Dry rub not my fav. but i still enjoy it. Brought back some Corky's dry rub. Use it a bit and it is good when i dress it with other spices. Garlic i so luv-never can have enough of that. And its good for ya. I stayed at a nice hotel when they put me up down there for the memphis conference. Park place hotel. Nice folk and warm cookies and tea everyday in the aft. Got down to Beal st. for some good food.
I've always loved Memphis. My Dad's company headquarters was there when I was a kid, and my parents used to go to the opera every year, so I always thought it was sooooooo sophisticated. My first trip was in 1964 to see the Beatles. Now that was anything BUT sophisticated. Talk about madness! My bro and SIL moved away from there last year, so I don't know if we'll visit so often.
I love garlic too! My internet SO teases me about eating it on everything because sometimes I put herb butter on my oatmeal.

Dazy, I usually start the roast mid-morning (start it from room temp), and put it in the crockpot on high with a dishtowel over it to jack up the heat a notch. I skim what fat I can a couple of times while the roast is cooking, and let it rest at least twenty minutes before pulling it apart. Forks work fine to shred the pork. I never pierce a piece of meat before I cook it, but always use tongs instead. At 7:29 Leroy is standing around like a vulture waiting for food to miracle itself onto the table at 7:30, so with searing time and resting time, we're talking nine hours or less total. Your crockpot temps might differ. And if you don't have a crockpot, you could do this in a dutch oven at 325° if you're going to be there to keep an eye on it. (I hate going off and leaving the oven on.)
My short-term memory is not as sharp as it used to be.

Just a suggestion on the stop smoking thing; when I was a missionary, we had a stop smoking program that we would tell people about, and it worked!!! If you eat cinnamon bears, or candy, etc, it helps draw out the niccotene your body craves, and it gives your mouth something to do without gaining weight in the mean time. Anything cinnamon is good, and works. Hope this helps!!!! ;)

I use a crockpot a lot. I have one that does a delayed start, so I'll use that because I leave the house a 7:30 am. I won't be able to skim fat until I get home.... I never heard of the dishtowel keeping the heat in but it makes sense.
I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks for the tips.

In Memorium
With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey", died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

You're very welcome! I don't use my crockpot a lot. But I do have a few things that I only cook in one, like just about any version of pot roast, and a chicken dish with julienned carrots and celery with a can of COM soup, broth, and blush wine. I do love mine, it's the type that can go from the burner to the heating element, so that saves dirtying another pot to braise the meat and bring my liquid to a boil.

Hope this helps!!!! ;)
Hey SV, I'm addicted to those Listerine cinnamon flavored melt in your mouth breath fresheners. Good to know!
Missionary sounds interesting; tell us more!

I had read that cinnamon has an effect to help control blood sugar, but for diabetics I am not sure that would include candy. (I have considered it, tho.) I like my cinnamon on toast--put some in sugar, mix up and sprinkle (liberally) on toast or eggo--I'm thinking that isn't probably the way to go for a diabetic, either.
I do remember from years ago a cinnamon dipped toothpick like thing. Now, that might work. You get the cinnamon, plus the toothpick kind of gives your mouth something to do. It would bypass the sugar part of candy anyway. Double whammy--quit smoking and control blood sugar!!!

If you look at ecc's first post at CL, you'll see that it's mighty presumptuous; she told me that Cindy needs prayers not jeers. Like she knows what goes on between God and me or anyone else. But it wasn't long before she was criticizing Cindy herself. And it seems hypocritical to claim that other people are obsessed with something while trying to dictate what they post about the obsession.
I think some people have control issues in The Real World and attempt to over-assert (is that a word?) themselves online.
I don't agree with everything either, but it's all food for thought. I've changed my mind, if only ever so slightly about a few issues by reading others' thoughts.

You can buy those cinnamon capsules to help regulate the blood sugar. I wonder if that would help with the cig cravings. The brand I have is 'Rexall Naturals', 100% Pure Cinn-Max. I smoked for 36 years and finally quit with the Chantix. My husband and I quit at the same time. He has had numerous heart surgeries, and I got out of breath after walking from the car to the kitchen with a couple bags of groceries at age 54. Yes I ate a healthy diet and went to aerobics class for years, and led a pretty active life. I still think about the pleasure of a cigarette, but I don't want to get addicted again. (It only takes one). The cost I am glad to be rid of too. 2.3 years ago in Georgia we were spending 60 dollars every 5 days! Good luck SD, and I hope you can quit.

That's a close summary of how I feel. I sympathize with their loss. God, they must ache for Caylee; she was such a sweetie, but how can they (appear to be) in such denial about Casey's responsibility? It's not abnormal for parents to support children accused of horrible crimes, but it would seem like G&C (moreso Cindy) are in Peterson mode. You just have to wonder if Jackie Peterson was Cindy's role model during the SP trial; "deny, deny, deny."
It's an affront to other crime victims the way that Cindy has behaved toward people whose position was to support Caylee and find the truth for Caylee.

I'd give my eyeteeth to know what she falsified and hid from LE, and with the ZFG depositions coming up, and the Anthonys threatening to take the fifth, I can't help but wonder if the two cases are tied together somehow other than the fact that G&C continued to claim that Zani was the perp who took Caylee. And I'm curious if Conway is going to allow his clients to be cited for contempt if they do try to invoke those rights. How could answering questions about ZFG implicate them?

That is a nice collection, and it is great that the stuff from the Sudan is covered, most places don't go there...We're usually there around Christmas and the lobby is so pretty with that enormous tree they put in! Java and i were chatting on the other thread about releasing ballons on Feb. 10th in memory of Caylee. We wanted to come up with times to accomodate all that want to do so. I realize we have folks that are in different time zones and differing work schedules. So far Java and I came up with 12:30 p.m. that worked for us. Maybe we will need another time or 2 to accomodate all. Perhaps a morning and an eve? 12:30 for us is Eastern. Refer to Java's post on the discussion thread for safety of balloon releasing to wildlife.
I would be very happy to go to the memorial site at Suburban and release ballons there in coordination with you. 12:30 would be fine with me.

There's some really good ribs in DeValls Bluff just this side of the Mississippi at Craig's. And THE BEST fried pies in the entire world across the street at The Pie Shop.

You peeps up in igloo country be careful! Last week when we finally thawed out, you could barely walk up for the papers or the mail without having to dodge ice and deadfall. Last year a huge chunk of ice came off our roof and ripped a hole in one of the decks. And a few weeks later I fell into it. Talk about seeing stars!!
It's always windy up here on our hill. Makes it so hard to rake leaves effectively. :cuss:

Not so much snow and ice here (and for that I am thankful!!!!) but wind...well, we don't know how to act if the wind isn't blowing. 20mph is breezy, according to the meteorologist. When it's going 40mph, now THAT is windy.

Our ice was nothing compared to what other areas of AR got; I think the death toll is now at seventeen of the 55+ total in the US.
We live on some sort of weird confluence and the wind always blows about 20mph above what it is down in the valley. It's hard to make yourself bundle up to do yardwork.

IF there is a movie about this case, who would/should/could be cast?
Casey: Well, Juliet Lewis, of course! She does a fine job with whack job roles. In fact, has she ever done anything else?
Cindy: Cybil Shepherd; she did a great job portraying the nasty side of Martha Stewart.
George: Dennis Farina? Maybe?
Christian Bale: He has a temper. And family problems too.
Baez: Maurice Benard; he stutters and mumbles through way too many scenes as a greasy goombah on General Hospital. But he's not PR, so Jose might file an injunction to prevent it.
Nancy Grace: Herself. She played a Nancy Grace type on L&O, so she has experience.

I had such a nightmare last night. The second one this case has given me. It was probably brought on by the son of sam talk. I was wandering around NYC and I saw a store that sold giftware. I stopped to look at the cutest little statues of man and woman sets. They were had little funny sayings on them and they were called OLD SOULS. I was still wandering around looking for something when I saw this guy - it was the skinny guy that George had the fight with outside of his house. He said he knew where Leonard Padilla was and he could help me. He brought me to this rundown brownstone building. I was uneasy about going in but I did. He went into a room and said Leonard was in there and he'd be right out. He closed the door and I was getting scared. He opens the door and I see an unmade rumpled bed and he's in his underwear and he's got these skinny scrawny legs. So I go running and I see this Eastern European woman with a babushka on her head sitting in the hallway peeling potatoes. I scream at her asking where the door is, she says in a heavy accent, doors all locked, no way out. I see the door and it has a pane of glass in it so I grab a broom and brake the glass. I'm able to get out and I'm wandering the streets again, looking for the Long Island rail road so I can get home.
How bizarre is that? I mean, I picked up a broom?

Had to laugh at my daughter while she was here from Colorado for Christmas.
Now this child was born and raised in Podunk, TX so she knows what it's like.
But she works for a securities and investments firm and really dresses " big city".
Well, a friend set her up for a date with the local sheriff. He shows up in dress jeans, white shirt, hand tooled boots and belt, a big belt buckle and of course,a Stetson. This is pretty standard date wear in TX. Well, she stated she was rather uncomfortable all evening, even though everyone else was dressed as he was.
How quickly they forget their roots and learn those big city ways. Guess we'll never get her back on the farm. LOL

You can use artificial sweetner on cinnamon toast. I use one packet per slice.

I hear ya-I never thought i would see the day where i felt sorry for G but i do. He reminds me of a puppy dog who just went along with 2 really bullying women. I hope he is still not doing the same with C although i think its going to take alot of therapy to get him where he needs to be. It's apparent he cannot handle it and in my opine he needs to honest from here on in for Caylee's sake. Otherwise i think it will kill him. I cant see C backing off G. Thats who she is. MOO

That's where I think, George, Cindy and Lee are stuck. They can't refuse to answer the questions because the answers won't incriminate them personally. They can't take the fifth because it might incriminate their daughter.

I watched the Saturday hour of NG, and I'm wondering if it wasn't kind of a best of thing? Parts of several shows during the week? It's so hard to tell w/her show, tho, she keeps going over the same stuff, sometimes the players (th's) change, same questions, different answers.
I'm still shaking my head over one guy's response about how George would be if deposed "IN JUST DAYS"--when we are talking several weeks--the first time she said in just days--it was THREE weeks. I'm pretty sure he was a clueless lawyer, not a psychiatrist or any kind of medical person. He thinks that, in 3 weeks (actually more, because medications were started @ least a week prior to his getting out) George might be "falling asleep" and "slurring his words." He might not be able to understand the questions. GMAB!!!!! If, in 3+weeks of starting antidepressants George is falling asleep and slurring, and not able to understand what people are saying, someone had best get him back to the psychiatrist and get those meds CHANGED!!!!! :flamemad:

Okay, the octuplet mom. Freaking nut!!!!!! I'm a California taxpayer, that crazy nut is on my tab! And she could have MORE!!!! She's only 33. She has 14. In a 3 bedroom house! I can barely handle 4 humans and a lab in my house and its only a little smaller than that one! I am a hair's breadth from being a Libertarian, so this is hard for me to say, but...State of California, step in and monitor! The second those children are neglected or at risk, get them to safety!!!!!
And the doctor who did the ridiculous implantation? Pay the bill. And the "sperm donor" who was really her boyfriend? Hello, Daddy! Pay child support. Anyone who would enable this lunatic to have done this needs to take their share of the responsibility. This must be discouraged. And tv networks? Stop paying for interviews and for heaven's sake, don't put on a Jon and Kate plus 8 thing. Don't make people think there's a big payday from this sort of thing. Somewhere out there is a 15 year old who is thinking, I have 30 years of reproduction in me...I wonder how many I could have? Aaargh.
Oh. And her lip implant is amazingly ugly. I wonder how many diapers THAT bill would have bought?
Its out of my system now.

Ya tell the newbies but nope they are gonna cure em. Generally only takes a couple times of getting clocked in the head. And thats just one of many, many issues. And I don't suppose that the 5 minutes is by the mom--she's too busy running the talk show circuit and probably trying to negotiate who to play her in a movie (and bet she's rooting for ---HERSELF!!!!!) I know the babies are still in the hospital, but whose watching out for the other 6 little tykes? Oh, yeah, probably grandma, who probably has been doing that all along.
She "loves" babies!! Well, for God's sake, this IS NOT a way to show that!!!! You SHOW your love for your babies by stopping having more when you realize you can't possibly support the ones you already have (that would have been @ what-one? two?) You DO NOT show your love for babies by having so many that you can't possibly have a one-on-one minute with any of them.
I quit watching the stuff on tv--not her, haven't seen her, but discussions. Some women even say--well, it's HER BODY, we can't tell her what to do with it!!! I have said for years--you can have as many doggone children that you want--AS LONG AS YOU SUPPORT THEM, NOT ME!!!!! Once you start using MY tax dollars, you can better believe I should have some say in what you do--like, for starters NO MORE KIDS!!!!! IMO, once a person has to resort to welfare to support the family, ALL plans, wishes, hopes for more kids should be put on the back burner. If you can't afford the house--you don't get to buy it (Well, that might be a poor example.) You can't afford the car, you don't get it.
Oh, and I don't give a rat's patooty what "deal" you made with the sperm donor. IF you can actually support the babies on your own without his help, go for it. But, once you start tapping the taxpayers (STRANGERS, FOR PETE'S SAKE) you better start tapping the sperm donor FIRST. HOW DARE a woman think it's just fine and dandy for strangers to pay for her babies, and don't see a damn thing wrong with bio dad just sitting with his hands in his pockets instead of whipping out the checkbook.
Sorry, this just irritates me to no end. I would bet the farm that she fully expected free diapers from several major diaper companies, free formula, free BIG house, and FREE van--well, she'd need 2 or 3, all the help from all the resources some of the other major mulitples parents received. Some of the women on panels were AGHAST that she hadn't (a week or so ago, anyway) received any of this.

I checked out the link for their house, and I saw her mom on tv tonight.
There is something not right with this girl. She reminds me of (gulp) Andrea Yates. I wonder if she is on medication. No, really. Too placid, too spacey, she's LaLa and there's something I can't yet put my finger on.
3 bedrooms, it's tight as it is, and I wonder how long it will take social services to get involved with this one. I hope the Dr. gets a Severe take down for this, because this is not what was intended with the inception of in-vitro fertilization. This is abuse of his authority.
MOO........MHO!
That house is disgustingly sad. Sheets over the window? Crap thrown everywhere.Horrible. She does seem like an andrea yates. The doctor should be in jail. IMO he has violated medical ethics. Don't these people realize that the root of most of our problems, at least in the USA, and also in some of the third world countries, and also in China and Africa is OVER POPULATION. True but jmo. :(

Now that sounds like a reason for Social Services to step in. imo
To me the fact that one of the younger children is autistic and she is going to be hard pressed to provide even basic minimal care for 14 children should be enough reason for Children's Services to step in.

Can I just say this woman is the height of self centeredness and irresponsibility. !! I mean everyone knows children are not like ceramic elephants and teddy bears and hockey cards, they are not collectibles. These kids will need time and love and attention and you can't tell me she can do it with 14 properly and even if they are so called stable now, who is to say they might not face a life of health problems? This woman is living in some kind of Disney dream where she can go to school and and have a career and be there for her kids. Pfffttt...

Stable. A word that we use when a baby is on a ventilator, still in very critical condition. It means that the baby's condition is not deteriorating, basically. Now, I don't know that any are on ventilators, but that is an example of the use of the word stable. I can't remember which show I was watching where the medical th indicated that the babies, or @ least some of them are expected to have ongoing medical problems.

You certainly may say that and I most certainly agree with you. Women manage school, career and home with 1, 2 -- even 3 children. But 14??????? If she, as an only child, felt she was neglected, she's in for a real big reality check. I feel sorry for those children.

Ah! Thank you !!
I'm all set now. The dell stuff wasn't finished with it's down loads. I'm having fun with this. Problem: My important stuff is on the old anchor and I have to get it on this prima donna. I suppose I'll email it all to myself. My email stayed the same. I have no idea how these bratty machines work. I don't want to know either. I just want mine to obey.
RESPECT! Nawny's favorite word, even if I don't practise what I preach. ;)
You can email your stuff to yourself or, if you have a memory stick, save everything to the stick and then reload to your new prima donna. If you have your stuff in folders you can save the whole folder to transfer over. It's really fast this way and all sorted for you like you never left your happy place.
Sorry to post this here but I didn't know exactly where to put it but I made a topic for Haleigh Cummings...:rose:

Ah! If I put my documents in a folder, then I can send it to myself via email? Is that what you mean? I'm workin gon a huge manuscript but I got that over to Prima by emailing it to myself with an MS word attachment. I have so much more and pictures too.
Well, yes, you can do that but do you have a memory stick? You really may want to consider getting one to back up your important stuff (pictures!).
You can just save as to a memory stick and then reverse the process on to prima donna. Open the stick and save as to a spot on pd.
Yes, it would be much faster to folder everything and email the folder to yourself if you choose to go that route.

I have had years of nothing. I went to an orchid show 3 years ago and listed to an interesting lecturer. Basically he said we baby them too much. Depending on your climate, for NJ he said to stick them outside in May and don't bring them back in until the end of Sept. Shade with some sun. Fertilize frequently in the summer and then lightly when you bring them in. Since I started doing things his way I have blooms every year on almost all of them.
Hi all- hope not too much damage for those who had the rain and winds. We had a foot of water in our basement. Torrential rain plus the melted snow caused alot of flooding. We would have been ok but the sump pump in the newer part of our house did not come on. DH decided to check since he could only hear the sump pump going in the old part. A foot of water rushing into the old sump pump. Decoys were floating around so they had fun. DH put on his waders and crawled into the new section-just gave the pump a kick and off she went. So 2 hrs. later we were good. It's not a finished basement so we were lucky. Just storage. DH wanted all one floor so when we were old and decrepid (sp?) we did not have to move lol
Sorry to hear about the flooding. Your hubby sure made a good choice about not finishing the basement, it could have been a lot worse for you!!!

So glad to hear that y'all didn't suffer loss. It's hard to believe that with all the rains and floods that we've seen that so many areas are still behind in rainfall. Arkansas had quite a bit of wind damage and power outages.
Our basement is floor to ceiling/wall to wall "treasures" that Leroy buys at auction; he sees one thing in a box and has to buy the whole damned box to get it. Wouldn't mind seeing some of his stuff go on the burn pile! Slowly but surely I run things through the washer and dryer and the dishwasher and they either get donated or go into his yard sale.

Don't know if anyone's peeked out of the Caylee boards lately, but I've been posting since late last night about the plane crash in Buffalo. It took place about 20 minutes from my house, and there's already 2 pages worth of stories and pictures.
I'll be updating as new stuff comes in, and my dial-up connection allows...
And a widow of one of the Sept 11th victims died in the crash. It's just heart-wrenching.
Check it out...

Oh-BTW...STOP POSTING SO FAST!!! LOL!!!
I'm back on page 413 and I'm trying my best to catch up between posting other stories!!!
By the time I catch up, The Skank will be tried, sentenced and serving time...sheesh.
Hugs-
Donna
Man, I'd love for you to get caught up, but I'd also love for CMA to be tried, convicted, sentenced and executed before it happens!
God bless those families who lost loved ones. Seems like everytime we've been on that model Bombadier it's been in bad weather. The miracle here seems to be that more lives and homes on the ground weren't lost.
