I'm waiting for the whole story to come out. This 18 years is a lifetime for her and her parents. What in the world can be going on in her head. This is going to be a text book case for sure. If she was 11, she was already programed pretty much. She had to have been disassociating big time!

How I wonder is her mother going to deal with having grandchildren born of that pervert POC. He was in jail for this chit, they let him out! When are they going to stop letting them out to offend again!? I don't understand!

The poor girl can't be right anymore, how can she be? My major question is, why did it take so long for her to get help?

Maybe once there were children involved she was afraid to do anything? You should see the local reports! It is getting weirder and weirder! There's religion and "voices" involved, web sites and blogs, secret compounds, mystery children...HOW COULD NOBODY NOTICE!!!!!!

He was on parole! How could a parole officer not notice a secret backyard compound full of a secret underage family?! Maybe they need to get on google earth more often. Here's his blog if you want to smell the crazy. (ps: don't overlook the comments)

Years before my "connected" grandfather died, he'd had a stroke, and once every year some very well dressed men would visit, apparently to check and make sure he still couldn't speak. Very creepy. When he was a kid, he saw something in Chicago that made him decide to leave the country for years...he never told me about anything about that, but he did tell me adventurous stories about running booze out of Canada starting when he was a teenager.

Wow! Interesting BoB! I love old people and I could sit and listen to them for hours. They take many secrets with them to their graves, I am very sure. I'm leaving a book and it will wash all my sins away. They can't holler at me when I'm dead. :hat:

When my MIL would tell me stories (She was in her 90's) and I'd retell them to poppa, most of the time he'd say, She's fulla baloney, that' never happened.. lol!!!

Actually Nanwy I know probably about as much as you. Mine kept wanting to update to windows 7. I have heard they do not have the bugs worked out yet from my brother so I refused to update. my new one here is a vista which is between a 6 (my old one) and a 7. when vista first came out there were bugs also but they are pretty much cleared up now. my brother tells me this. that is why I know not to do all updates. I sure wish everything was so much easier. You think it would be with new technology but it seems to get worse the better things get "supposedly." I also spent 4 hours on the phone over the modem. Way too long of a story there. LOL sara

thanks for that tidbit on the Kennedys. All stuff I never heard.

Sara I am convinced that computers are built to last 2 years. Poppa's computer is ancient at 4 years old and it acts like it's sick in the head. He doesn't use it much because he uses his computer at work, and I think his home computer needs a good fire hose cleaning. If his at home is on, then he can't get anything at his work computer. ????? I don't know why and I won't ask. ;)

I went to his city office today and our son was laughing because poppa doesn't understand computer technology and is always saying things like, feed it into the computer.. lol! He thinks they are supposed to start his car and do other magic tricks. He claims he doesn't need computers, hard copies are his claim to fame! Slow slow slow poppa. But he's always on the money! No mistakes!

I tell my son, don't laugh at him, who owns this building? It isn't you baby! ;) Then poppa laughs and my son scurries away to his desk. I love when the young ones think they know more than a man who has been in the business for over 30 years, sucessfully. He has so many awards and credentials on his office wall there isn't room for anything else.

It's all good.

Born in New York, his dad was from Ireland. Big family. They moved to Chicago when he was a toddler, and when the Depression hit, the boys decided amongst themselves that they needed to go out and make their way in the world so the girls could stay home where they'd be safe. My grandfather got a job driving trucks full of Canadian alcohol when he was 13.

He taught me to drive when I was 12, unbeknownst to my mom...said you never knew when you'd need to drive, lol!

the same thing happened to me. My grandfather's father came from Ireland and Grandpa and the rest of my dad's family including dad were born in New York. what a great place. The whole family was crazy. I just loved to visit them. Your grandfather should have taught mine how to drive. He had a stick and always got caught on the top of a hill and quit driving. LOLOL

I've always wondered if it wasn't St. Valentine's Day massacre related. The timing is right, based on the desperate telegrams asking my great-aunt for money-to be sent to a pseudonym, and his working for the Irish. But then there was the argument with my grandmother where she was yelling about the "hatchet killing" (believed to be witnessed, not performed)...maybe more than one incident, who knows? He really did never talk, even when he could. She would never explain that fight, either!

Weirdly, even though he was an alcoholic and would drive drunk all the time...the LA police always released him once they realized "who he was", also very creepy. And he never had any money, so he couldn't have been a big shot, right? Ah, the mystery!

I bet he paid the LE to keep quiet with booze. was driving and drinking even a crime then?

By then it was the '50s, so I don't know for sure. In one incident, my mom was about 10 when they were pulled over. The officer looked in, said "Oh, Hi, Don! Cathy, you be careful now."

All ya wanna do is talk to a live person who speaks English clearly. I'm kinda like poppa Nawny. I refuse to do online banking or use self checkouts. It takes away jobs. The other day I called our bank to transfer some monies. I just wanted to know if i could do it at the bank without an appt. I was dispersing to several acct's. I met the most incredible woman today at Dave's Market. She was complaining at the bread aisle that they don't have the cranberry bread anymore and I was helping her look for it. Before long, we started a conversation ( I talk to everyone, I even talk to trees) she told me all about her life, started on her hate for doctors because she has cataracts, then went on to tell me she is a Holocaust survivor and had 4 sons, three of which have passed away. She was so darn interesting. She is 78 years old and looks 50.

As we went on to talk more, she said she lost everything 3 years ago because one of her sons took her to the cleaners. She now lives in a 400 square foot cottage and all she wants to do is take walks on the beach and do her rug hooking. She is not bitter, she is not angry. I was listening to her and thought God had sent an angel to me. Her name is Lida.

I gave her my phone number. She gave me hers too. I found her totally fascinating. When we parted she turned and said, "Will you walk with me on the beach?" I said, Sure! Then she turned around again and smiled and said, All because of Cranberry bread. LOL!

On top of that I was looking at the Jaycee Dugard kidnapper at his arraignment...and I think I used to have issues with him on campus. He looks a LOT like this one "preacher" who used to bug me on Sproul Plaza. I'm creeped out on so many fronts tonight.

Gawd i would be too Bob. Way too many connections that you are familiar with. Those poor children and Jaycee i hope they find some kind of normal in this life but oh lordy so much to overcome. I wish them well :rose::rose::rose:

Like the doctors gave them to her?

No :) She started her story with that after we both agreed people are getting sick from the ingredients in processed foods. I should have clarified.

The conversation turned to doctors. She told me she had not been to a doctor in 40 years and takes no prescription medications. She believes they are over prescribed and doctors are killing people.

She talked about her cataracts because she went to an eye doctor to arrange to have them fixed and they asked her to fill out a form which asked her to list the medications she takes. She left it blank and the nurse asked her again to list them. She did not believe a 78 year old American woman was not taking any prescription medications, and Lida was treated like she had dementia because she couldn't do it.

The only reason she went to get her cataracts repaired is, she does rug hooking and her eyes were failing her. We both agreed we cannot fix our own cataracts or or set our own broken bones etc, but we avoid doctors around these parts, as much as possible.

I made the Rice Balls, gravy, chicken parm (I decided not to make the francese) potato salad, ravioli stuffed with spinach and cheese, of course the gnocchi with the pink vodka sauce and I know I forgot something. Now all I have to do is go recreate myself after a shower and deliver the food to the weeble's house. I'm so good huh? Pet me! LOL!:punch:

We have voluteers making the meatballs, taco salad, chicken wings, bringing the bread and chips.

I'm a gypsy at heart. I love to move. Just say when! In 17 years with poppa we've lived in 4 different homes. LOL! He gets nervous when I say, I saw the nicest house today! My son's team won the tournament the other day. It was a charity deal for the people who lost their homes to the wild fire the other month. He and his team decided to give their prizes back to be put up in the silent auction. They won free green fees and cart fees to one of the most exclusive courses at Myrtle Beach. Green and cart fees there, if you can get on, are almost $175. He has always wanted to play that course but said the people who lost their homes needed the money more. Datsa my boy. That is a private club where they once playes a Senior PGA event. The only way to get on the course is to be invited by a member or something like this. Maybe now his boss, who is a member, will realize what he has for an employee and take him to play there. He is off this Friday and we are going down Friday and staying the night. So we will get to be with him most of the day Friday. I guess we will take him out to his favorite Italian place to eat.

Well, I can give you the orthodox and or fundamentalist Jewish take is -- very simply the OT thing about a woman not wearing a man's clothing. Even if they are pants made for women. They (the rabbis who call the shots) say that is getting too close, and one thing can lead to another.

Some of them have recently began to allow women to wear women's pants with skirts over them, to hide the pubic outline.

But I think the bottom lines are the rules are just another way of controling women.

Here one still sees a lot of religious Moslem women in pants. Loose pants, but not only. I've seen women in jeans and hijab at the university.

I think it is more they can not control their own eyes and want someone else to blame it on. A man should be in control of where he looks and where his mind goes and not blame his own thoughts on someone else. You are responsible for your own thoughts.

If I had to pick something out as being modest, I would vote for the salwar-kumeez like they wear in Pakistan. Comfortable and practical as well as quite flattering. I would totally wear it if I wouldn't look like some kind of wanna-be (we have a large Indian and Pakistani community around here.) I have seen some really stylish blazer coats and pants or jeans on Iranian women. Of course, they are usually being chased around by the religious police for it

This is an excuse the fundamentalist and/or orthodox Jews make all the time.

I "love" that double game they play -- men are clearly superior, except when it comes to keeping the "yetzer ha-rah" (the evil within them) in check. Then it is the woman's responsibility.

You know that belt that some of the Hasidim where over their robes? It's to separate the spiritual from the physical in the body. I'm not making this up. An orthodox Jew told me. (Modern orthodox, really modern orthodox.)

The salwar-kumeez is the long tunic and pants outfit? It's lovely and practical. But I'm sure that wasn't the intent when men ordered women to wear it!

The orthodox and fundamentalist Jews have their own (illegal) "Modesty Police" in their neighborhoods.

Good for you for having the "balls" not to go to Mea Shearim. Most tourists are afraid of "offending" by not going on the offered tour and are "understanding" if they do go and dress the way they are ordered to.

Feh!

Have the riots of the Mea Shearim people, not even in their neighborhood, but in central J"m been on the news in the USA? Lemme tell you, if any body on the left, or any Palestinian attacked police and property like that, they wouldn't be standing on their feet for very long.

I hear that Mariam! Women have been pushed down for centuries, but everyone knows they're going to crash though the ceiling eventually. If we were not able to, heh, we wouldn't be intelligent enough to do so. I fight for it all the time even with my Sicilian poppa here. In the late 1960's when I was a teen, some performers seemed to think femininity was better than masculinity. I've often wondered why the phrase penis envy came about. Personally, I think it's the other way around. ;) Maybe it was an English thing?

Check out the clothing and the hair.. lol!

Good for him - he sounds like a great guy! Enjoy the Italian food!

DH went and watched Tiger on Sunday. He said hardly anyone was there. I guess NJ isn't used to having major golf events. DS goes to school near there and he was able to get his dad a 1/2 price ticket. I was just glad DH got out of the house and let me clean/reorganize in peace. He keeps mumbling that it was more peaceful with a kid around the house.

Thanks. That is a son thing. He seems to have always been that way for the most part. Made him easier to live with. My MIL said we should have had another one because he was never a problem. Well, not a bad problem. He does drive his mom a little crazy because he won't answer her on the computer when she wants to chat. That is because she is fussing about something that really isn't that big of a problem. He will talk to me though and that chaps her rear. He He.....:D

Oh that's funny Deacon. My brother has only one child - a son, whom I adore as if he were my own. He treats me as if I was a second mother to him. His mom is fine with it. She feels, heck, if I want to spend my money so her son has better things, go for it. My brother on the other hand is jealous. He won't tell me when Philip calls or what's going on with him. I love him like I gave birth to him myself. He writes me when he needs advice. It just chaps my brother's rear too....:D My brother wanted him to be a Navy pilot, I wanted him to be a doctor.

When they show "news of the world" segments, I've seen brief stories. Shep Smith on Fox does this, and he covers 4 "local" stories around the world in 1 minute flat. I have seen hopping mad Hassidim on that segment, but that's about it. Anyone else?

I have mixed feelings about my Italian instructor. He tells us not to email him with questions because he's too busy for us, and canceled our mid-class break because he has to book to another campus after our class and wants to end early. On the other hand, he is a smart, um, alec, who puts down the ubiquitous incredibly annoying students and tells us the actual bad words to avoid and why. My French teacher would never have done either.

You have to be careful how you spell or say penne, apparently.

I just learned of another heartbreaking story of a local baby killed by his father. I haven't learned how to post link but the story is online in the "Bellingham Herald." Bellingham is a college town about 1 hr. north of Seattle where I live. A 42 yr. old father called police last Friday to say his "baby was missing." He supposedly put the 10 week old to bed Thurs. night and when he woke up the next morning, the baby was "missing." A 3 day search turned up nothing until today when they arrested the father for murder. Apparently, he 'fessed up to police and took them to the wooded area near his home where he put his dead child. News reports state that baby had blunt force trauma to his head, broken legs, and multiple fractures, bruises. Mommy dearest is not a suspect because she went to jail the day before the father reported the baby missing. Mommy's in jail for robbery and will be there a while.
WTF is going on with our society? This baby was only 10 weeks old for f**k sake!
I'm just sick and needed to vent.

"Hopping mad?" Not burning tires, garbage cans, smashing cards? Over turning cars? Beating up policeman? Attacking the mayor when he tried to negotiate with them?

That's the kind of thing that they are doing these days. :flamemad:

You would need a taser to protect yourself for showing an elbow in Mea Shearim or Bnai Brak or Emanuel (in the occupied territories). Seriously. There is some rule about the eroticism of the female elbow.

It all revolves around power. "I want power and control over others and will do what I have to do to get it." Good comes from the inside out. Not from the outside in. It has to be within you and you must want to share it.

That is a horrible story DrewB. :( Of course we are almost used to hearing such things, sadly. This human condition is not normal, but it is prevalent among us since the days before Christ. Actually, look what they did to Christ!?!

We are becoming more and more evolved and this kind of stuff is causing us angst, more than ever.

For all the optimists like us, I believe there is a rumbling and I have hope still, that things will change, starting with our laws. Man's inhumanity to man since Cain and Able, the first murderer, is inherent, yet we call ourselves civilized? Most are, but those who are not shouldn't be allowed to breathe.

I think of the geese I saw on the side of the road one day, where the male goose stood by his dead partner all day long. I drove by them twice that day; first in the morning, then in the late part of the afternoon and he remained by her side. Can it be that those animals have more compassion than we do as humans? Was it from those animals we learned that one partner for life was for us? Are we even capable of such a commitment? Are humans (especially helpless children) becoming disposable to the underlings of society? So many questions, and yet I see a change in the wings, less religion, more God. More love, less politics, more respect for human life. I hope I am alive to see it happen.

This Jaycee case is going to cause some serious problems for LE. I hold them responsible for that little girls nightmare! Totally. I laugh when they praise LE for finding her. BULL! They slept on it for 18 years. We need to remove those predators from society with the first offense they get caught at. These LE folks don't show up for life, never mind work! I hope that Jaycee's family sues the state for a billion dollars, not that money is going to unbreak their hearts. At least it will wake LE the Eff up!

I commented on Larry King's blog, saying they should give the perps life without for the first offense. Someone called me a moron for that comment, saying there are some who fall through the cracks and if it was a relative I'd be singing another tune. I laughed because I knew he was a chooch! Probably a perv wanna be too. They read. If he were sitting in front of me, I would have told him I would help put a relative away for being anywhere near the cracks. :cuss:

Thank you Samantha for this beautiful reminder!

Death is nothing at all.

I have only slipped away into the next room.

Whatever we were to each other, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.

Speak to me in the same easy way you always have.

Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.

Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.

Life means all that it ever meant.

It is the same as it always was.

There is absolute unbroken unity, and continuity.

Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight?

I am but waiting for you,
For an interval,
Somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.

All is well.

Nothing is past.

Nothing has been lost.

One brief moment,
And all will be as it was before-
Only better.

Infinitely better,
Infinitely happier:

We will be one, together forever.

I hate to say this but people killing their babies/small children is not all that uncommon in NJ. We just had a corrections officer kill her baby and herself and another woman killed her small child. She tried to kill the older child, too, but a neighbor started CPR and saved her. They just found another babies skeleton in the woods.

Bellingham is a college town about 1 hr. north of Seattle where I live. A 42 yr. old father called police last Friday to say his "baby was missing." He supposedly put the 10 week old to bed Thurs. night and when he woke up the next morning, the baby was "missing." A 3 day search turned up nothing until today when they arrested the father for murder.

I saw this story. miserable people. uggh.

Seriously. There is some rule about the eroticism of the female elbow.

mmmmm....elbow....sexy....

Some folks need to get out more. Discover the incredibly erotic...BIG TOE!!! good grief, the things people will fixate on. I get it...its anything with a crease, huh? makes those of dirty mind think of other body parts? Oh, why am I trying to make sense of it?!

:cuss:

Heya, don't laugh at my Berkeley cop! She took one look at Freako and knew something was wrong. Nailed him! But they have a lot of experience with freakos on the Berkeley campus and ride herd all the time. It's another weeble's actual Birthday today. She's 4 years old and we're going to bake a cake from scratch. I'm no baker but she might bring me luck. I'm using Dom Deluise's mother's birthday, anniversary, wedding, cake recipe. I have his book called: Eat This, it'll Make You Feel better. Love it!

I'll let you know how it comes out. Poppa ran to the market this morning before work to buy 2 Betty Crocker cake mixes, just in case Dom's cake flops. Wish me luck! :o

I came for a quick peek and now I'm hungry for penne with vodka sauce, I want some cake, and I want to know what's going on with Jlette and baby.

I hate to say this but people killing their babies/small children is not all that uncommon in NJ. We just had a corrections officer kill her baby and herself and another woman killed her small child. She tried to kill the older child, too, but a neighbor started CPR and saved her. They just found another babies skeleton in the woods.

Thoughts are with Danny.

One of my anthro profs did a study of Victorian child mortality and decided that a lot of it was not exactly biological in nature, if you know what I mean. There was a really disproportionately high number of "accidental" smotherings that just didn't work out no matter how she ran the numbers, and they were much higher among the poor. So she theorized that infanticide was taking place.

And here's a fourth century building that had over 100 newborn dead babies under it. http://www.archaeology.org/9703/newsbriefs/ashkelon.html So its been around forever, maybe.

Another scary one was when he was being initiated and they lined a few **** brother wanna be's up (including him) in an empty auditorium, blind folded them, taped their mouths, put a slit in the tape and stuck lemons in their mouths, then proceeded to douse them with actual beer. Those were the days, yep. I had actually considered getting the fake ones. But, menopause took care of that problem along with my rear end, hips, thighs and bingo arms. Ahhh, that's okay, nawnys are supposed to be soft and huggable.

Meet me at midnight in the back alley for cake! I'll be holding BoB's Italian teacher hostage, and we can all have a go at him with the rolling pin.

Eww that was such a violent thing to say. Ahhh, nah, just a few slaps :punch: so we can get BoB's money back. Hee hee. Now that's Italian!

[QUOTE=Nawny;9215467]That is a horrible story DrewB. :( Of course we are almost used to hearing such things, sadly. This human condition is not normal, but it is prevalent among us since the days before Christ. Actually, look what they did to Christ!?!

Excellent points, Nawny. I'm with you about LE being asleep for the past 18 yrs. and now they get kudos for finding Jaycee?!
Thinking of you and Danny today. :rose:
My oldest son, Drew, will be 28 on Sept. 4th. Lots of Virgos in my life! Love 'em!

DrewB

Ah yes, the world needs Virgo. They're so darn logical. The red shirts go with the red shirts. The blue shirts go with the blue shirts and the fact that we live in such an imperfect world gives them ulcers. But nothing would be organized without them.. they'll tell ya how many beans make five, in a heartbeat!

Happy Birthday to your oldest baby!

No way! I want to learn the Italian no matter what, and there are no other sections. meh. All language teachers are the same!

It was fun watching him argue with one of the annoying students about how to say Asian-Pacific Islander, since she refused to identify herself as an American. Although she was born here, we found out in the next conversation section...you can meet the annoying students with your cooking implements, though! (there are two of them, and watch out, they're fit!)

Nah, your future doctor is being trained in Mumbai as we type, lol!

This is the local community college! SO not Berkeley...but frankly, I can name off students when I was there who were just as annoying. I went to JC before Berkeley, and I thought I was going to a hallowed land of pure academic brilliance. Then I got there and realized that there was the same percentage of people who really cared  so I hung out with them.

That's why, say, a degree from Harvard or Yale fails to impress me too much in politicians. Show me your transcripts and we'll talk. Of course, some of them won't release their transcripts. Wonder why?

My son is off on Friday so we are going down there Friday and Saturday. We will probably take him out to celebrate our birthdays Friday night. Go to the Bass Pro Shop Saturday morning. I have some stuff that I want to buy for hunting season. Not that I will kill anything, but I want to get it. I sat in a tree last deer season and did more "shooting" with my camera than anything else. Never did get a deer. Nothing but young bucks and does came to see me. And squirrels and a kitty cat. That cat scared the crap out of me. It was funny. He was in a tree and all I could see was white in a tree. I thought it was a deer but when I was looking at the white with the binoculars it started down the tree. Got on the ground and walked right toward me. I was in a ground blind and when it got about 20 feet from me I started calling Here kitty, kitty, kitty. I returned the favor. The cat went running back home like something was after him. End of hunting trip. I laughed so hard nothing was coming out then.

I hope this is a FREE course you are taking!!!! Otherwise, doesn't seem like you are getting your money's worth. Well, I guess learning the actual bad words might be worth the cost, lol!!!!

Well, gee. Looks like I missed the party even when I did sit down to post. Then, I fell asleep!!!!!:(

Great cake, Nawny!!! Bet the little weeble was beside herself, getting to help make it from scratch and everything. Happy birthday to all the little and big weebles celebrating here and in heaven.

When DD's first bday came along, I found the wonderful world of Dairy Queen ice cream cakes. Of course, my sister also BAKED a cake AND decorated it!!! So, every year, my kids had whatever cake they wanted from DQ. When we first moved over here, their baby sitter was a school cook (and a wonderful one, too!) One day, DD informed me that the baby sitter COOKED A CAKE IN THE OVEN!!!! (I didn't know DD even knew what an oven was, it wasn't like she ever saw ME use one, lol!!!) Of course, it was made from scratch. DD informed me that her aunt could show me how it was done!!! I said, but, if it was cooked in the oven, there could be no ice cream. Well, Mom--you can get ice cream in a box. Darn baby sitter!!!

I looked to see if Wagsy was back to posting. I had a note and her company did arrive, and she has been under the weather. Guess she will show up sooner or later, huh?

Well, I'm wide awake now, so guess, since this party is over, I will check other boards/threads to see what else I missed, and if there are any posters still awake this time of night.

Will do daisy-he mumbled something last night bout it being taped starting tomorrow when the tourney starts but not aired for a month or two???? Sometimes canadian sport doesn't get the attention american sport does but we dont promote our athletes like you folks do. Golf channel may do some re-caps during the tourney. Our son should be at the course shortly so once i have player's name i'll let ya all know. He will be calling tonight with all the skinny. He is very excited and gets paid to boot. Both our son's have appeared in tourney's on the golf channel as player's. Not sure why he has a bit of the jitters. More excitement i think. And the defense attorney TH is trying to blame WHAT on the prosecution? The PROSECUTION is overplaying the fact that this POS killed her own baby? Or,
is she saying that the prosecution is overplaying the fact that baby daddy is a minor? Prosecution can't be blamed for her killing her baby, she had done that before there was a prosecution involved, for pete's sake. I guess it's just that, as a defense th, she has to make whatever kind of noises she can to "defend" the actions of the underdog---the one arrested for murder.:flamemad: No matter how stupid her comments seem.

OMG!!!! Does she actually think that treating a person "nicely," like making sure she had a roof over her head (technically speaking,) food in her belly, and a "job" to go to makes up for kidnapping and RAPING the victim? I suppose some defense slob is going to say that eventually Jaycee was a "willing" partner in having sex w/this POS? Just because there are only 2 children, sure as heck does not mean that this POS had sex w/Jaycee on only 2 occasions. And, even if he did not have to FORCEFULLY rape her each and every time does not mean it is not rape. I would imagine that @ some point, Jaycee realized that she would have to succumb to his advances, if she wanted to live. That doesn't make her a willing partner in any way, in my books. Just someone who wants to survive and does what she has to.

And, regardless of how "well" Jaycee might have been treated by these 2 POS's, she was deprived of her childhood, of her family, of her education, basically, of her life.

This is a good example of why you need diversity (but I hate that word!) in LE. Men and women see different things, and people from different subcultures are more likely to spot when something is wrong when dealing with people from those subcultures... The campus cop said it was her "mom instinct" that told her there was a problem.
