Jesse Madrigal
A former Alexander High School teacher is behind bars after allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old student. Police say the incident wasn't recent but an outcry from the student led to his arrest. Before resigning from the district he was teaching anatomy and physiology.
Twenty Seven year old Jesse Madrigal didn’t respond to questions after allegedly sexually assaulting his female student. According to police the incident happened off campus about four years ago. At the time Madrigal was 22 years old and the victim was only 15. “The relationship or where the acts took place was not on school property or on school campus,” says Joe Baeza of the Laredo Police Department.
Police say the girl, now 19 was a student of Madrigal's at Alexander High School. Information about an alleged inappropriate relationship between teacher and student surfaced in November. “There was an outcry from the victim and that is where investigation stemmed off from. School officials went ahead and called authorities.”
