I thought I heard Cindy Anthony say that George her husband was in law enforcement. If that be the case:
1: If Casey and Her family were in danger as Casey Claimed they would be if she reported Caylee missing the first thing George should have known to do as a law enforcement officer is go to the proper authorities and get protection for his family? Plus, why didn't George Anthony inform local police that his granddaughter was missing during the time Casey was concocting her story? The child was missing for Goodness sake. You don't wait six weeks or what ever the timeline is to turn in a report of a missing child.
IF GEORGE ANTHONY IS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT HE IS FULLY AWARE OF HIS RESPONSIBILITIES AS A POLICE ENFORCER Besides being a grandfather of a missing child.
The more I listen to this case the more I have to ask What is wrong with these people!

You are right on. George should have be aware of law enforcement works and the dangers of not reporting a child missing. I remember there was an incident in which George saw Casey a couple of weeks after the last time he saw Caylee and he said he tried to question Casey about Caylee's whereabouts that she blew him off. I mean even then he should called the police.

He used to be a cop, not much said about him there, but one officer he had once worked with told LP that he was a know it all and a hot head and that fits! How he blows up at the media and getting into it with the protesters, he has a hair trigger for sure and it is too bad he don't take this anger out of him and focus it on his loser daughter because that is where ti should be, blasting her to tell the truth ,but he won't because they are so used to bailing C out of her jams, that he can't because in his mind she is innocent and he will find Caylee and all will be well.

I got the impression he acts like a " tough" Cop, an authority on everyone and everything. I can tell you my brother is a New York State Trooper ( Hes a Detective) in the detective division and George would be knocked down quite a few pegs by those guys.

Everyone of my guys could knock him right into the next block and right now as I write this, he is talking to the FBI and he actually is cop speaking so to say, owning up to the smell that he smelled was human decomp and not the pizza and also about the stain and how big it was and my impression is he is waving two hats here. The guy hanging with the FBI is totally honest and then we got the guy screaming that his granddaughter was not in the trunk and his daughter did not murder her but the nanny stole her and it is heartbreaking to watch this guy, I wish he would just come clean and admit that C is probably dead instead of listening to Cindy and her ranting that Caylee is alive and well at a K-Mart in Waterbury CT! He needs to get away from Cindy and just maybe he could come to grips with the fact that C is dead and get a clue that CA murdered her because she got in the way of her good times, I feel this man will break into a millions pieces when the body is recovered, at least if he would be honest with himself, he could deal with it better.

IMO George does act differently around LE because he respects them but I am not upset that he cannot do the same with his family, it is a very different situation. It seems that he came back into the family after the breakup on Cindy's terms and he knows if he doesn't toe the line she will kick him out like that. He loves Cindy and he doesn't want to leave he3r. She is wasting away and inches from a nervous breakdown and if shutting his mouth helps her then good on him for doing it. Forcing the fact that the daughter shenhad killed her grand daughter onto her could very well push Cindy over the edge and I think he wants to avoid that.

ITA, your post is correct and so sad. I thank God that I am not in their shoes. My oldest daughter could be described as sociopathic, but she has 3 beautiful children, my grandchildren, and she would never harm them. I pray for peace for George and Cindy. I don't know how they are going to do it, but they just need to think of themselves and distance themselves from their devil daughter, cling to each other and realized that evil is born sometimes and not created. :( This is just my opinion. :rose: For Caylee.
