Teacher Richard Doucet faces up to 1,000 years for child porn

A Montreal teacher charged in the U.S. for allegedly soliciting sex from a 13-year-old boy is facing more than 200 new counts related to child pornography.

Richard Doucet, an elementary teacher at the elite Selwyn House private school, was arrested in May at a motel in Fredericksburg, Va.

Det. John Chapman of Dumfries, Va., police says the new accusations stem from images found on a compact disc that was seized by police from Doucet’s motel room.

Chapman says the 36-year-old has been indicted on 230 counts of possessing and reproducing child pornography.

Doucet is also accused of having several sexually explicit online conversations with Chapman, who posed as a 13-year-old boy.

He says if Doucet is convicted on all counts his jail time would exceed 1,000 years.

Now thats what i call a proper sentence, over here in the UK some offenders like this can get sentenced to as little as 3 years sometimes less and sometimes get off all together and just told to sign the sex offenders register
I really believe that the sentence should fit the crime and people who do this should never be let out

It's embarrassing what the freaks get for possession of child-porn in Sweden. There have been several cases where they've found in excess of One Million different images and they get 6 lousy months... :flamemad:

6 months !!! OMG that is just a joke, all the fbi profilers etc etc know that people like this rarely change, so they should be kept behind bars for the rest of their lives.
