Excerpt: Anthony was hurried out of the jail doors accompanied by her attorney, Jose Baez, and at least two bodyguards who bowled their way through the waiting crowd. Baez held his arm around Casey and she buried her face into him as they rushed to a waiting SUV. The SUV was clocked going more than 70 mph in a 55 mph zone as it headed to the house.

Excerpt: Casey's parents, George and Cindy Anthony, provided part of the $50,000 needed to secure her $500,000 bond on a child neglect charge and an anonymous donor put up the rest. Casey's attorney, Jose Baez refused to comment on the bond being posted, but his public relations firm put out a statement Thursday evening.

"The individual posting the bond prefers to remain anonymous and is doing it because of the belief that Ms. Anthony's constitutional rights have been grossly violated," the statement reads (Read Full Statement - PDF Document) (http://www.wftv.com/download/2008/0904/17394107.pdf)

The statement also slams bounty hunter Leonard Padilla, who posted the previous bail, for trying to milk media time under the pretense that he might re-post a bond.

Excerpt: The conditions of her release are the same as before.

"She will be in the home wearing a proximity ankle bracelet that sends a signal to a receiver connected to a phone line. Periodically, the phone will check to see if that bracelet is present. If the bracelet fails to be present or goes out of range, that receiver calls to a monitoring center and we receive notification that she is not in the home and is outside of the schedule that we put in the computer," Orange County Jail spokesman Allen Moore said.

Anthony is able to go into the front and back yards of her parents' East Orange County home. One criteria is there is to be no weapons in the home.

Moore said Anthony was well-behaved and didn't cause problems while she was in jail. He said he has been told she spent most of her time reading books from the jail library.

Response from Todd Black, Damage Control Aficianado
Posted by: princess
September 4th,
2008

I sent Mr. Black an email to Todd Black of Press Corps Media about how terrible and unprofessional his press release was. Here’s the response that I received from Mr. Black:

Thank you for your opinion. Unfortunately, you had no reason to know that there was: A METHOD TO THE MADNESS.
There are more media people laughing at Nancy Grace taking so much time about grammar, rather than actually covering the four very important issues outlined in the news release. With all due respect, our company has been successfully coordinating Damage Control and Crisis Media with high profile clients for over twenty years, and that longevity and multi-million-dollars in annual profits is proof that our way of doing things works.
If anyone actually studies the news release, any “spell check” would defeat our purpose. Of course, you didn’t know what our plan was, so I guess it’s fair to say: YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT.
T.B.

Uh, yea…what four points were those again? I couldn’t pay attention due to the crappy appearance and horrible grammar. No spin in this world is going to make anyone believe that Casey did not harm or in the least, dispose of her daughter’s body. Thanks for playing, Mr. Black. LOL
Here is Mr. Black’s horribly written press release. http://www.wftv.com/download/2008/0904/17394107.pdf
That’s a link to the pdf version of the press release. It looks really bad.

Immediate Release

Caylee Anthony — Missing Child
It has come to the attention of the Baez Law Firm that bounty hunter Leonard Padilla is claiming the possibility of reinstating a bond he previously withdrew. Though Jose Baez and his client, Casey Anthony appreciated what Mr. Padilla initially did, his later unjustified retreat has clearly demonstrated that he cannot be trusted, and Mr. Baez, nor Ms. Anthony will work with Mr. Padilla on her case ever again. Mr. Padilla is simply milking media time under the pretense of re-posting a bond, which offer is rejected.
The Baez Law Firm is wholly supportive of Casey Anthony’s parents retaining legal counsel of their own, however, that will have absolutely no bearing on Casey’s court matters. Not only Ms. Anthony’s rights were trampled, but so have the rights ‘and property of her parents been violated , and the parents’ attorney can attend to those issues without interfering with the important focus of finding Caylee and defending any charges against Casey .
The Baez Law Firm has been successful in its efforts to put a highly creditable and respected team of experts together, which announcement will be made at the appropriate time, and until then Mr. Baez will have NO COMMENT.
Press Corps Media has been retained by The Baez Law Firm to coordinate any and all media inquiries, allowing Mr, Baez and his staff to attend to the more vital matters of defending Ms. Anthony.
Casey Anthony is being bailed out of jail. The individual posting the bond prefers to remain anonymous, and is doing it because of the belief that Ms. Anthony’s constitutional rights have been grossly violated. Mr. Baez will have NO COMMENT about the bond and will respect the privacy of the anonymous party.

TODAY'S UPDATES:

ABC responds to rumors of the network paying George and Cindy Anthony $1 million for an exclusive interview
2:17 p.m. Some sources close to the Casey Anthony case said that ABC had offered the Anthonys compensation for an interview on the network's show 20/20. However, ABC denies those reports. "It's an ABC News policy not to pay for interviews," said Alyssa Apple, a New York-based publicist for the network.

Other reports show that ABC was offered compensation to sell video footage of the Anthonys to a Nashville-based production company. That claim also has been denied by ABC.

EXCERPT: Officials told EquuSearch volunteers to look for a rolled up rug, duffel bag and bones before heading out, Freideman said.

Mandy Albritton, search director for Equusearch, said in the past they have found bodies inside of rolled-up carpet, or found things inside duffel bags and that is why they tell their volunteers to look for those items.

Do Cindy and George Anthony have an agent or not?
posted by halboedeker on Sep 5, 2008 5:27:21 PM

Here's something to keep in mind when you're watching the "20/20" report on Caylee Anthony tonight.

WFTV-Channel 9 anchor Barbara West shared this news from the ABC newsmagazine: "Cindy and George Anthony now have an agent representing them who is demanding money for any new interview."

Their attorney, Mark NeJame, told the Sentinel that is not true.

The little girl's grandparents participate in the "20/20" interview at 10 tonight on WFTV. But Casey Anthony, Caylee's mother, is not interviewed.

ABC did not pay the grandparents -- paying for interviews is against ABC News policy. ABC News said it did license the home video and photographs that you'll see in the report.

The term means that a news division pays a fee for material it uses. But NeJame said the family didn't get any money for anything.

ABC noted that licensing is a standard industry practice.

Caylee Anthony : Ground Zero : Day 1 Update
I apologize for the late update. Today's search took much longer than I had initially expected.

As I mentioned earlier today, Tim Miller assigned me to a team of 12 searches, to search a "high priority" area with a K9 team.

Photo's at the link below.

The area we searched was a dead end road near Moss Park. According to a spokesperson with EquuSearch, the area was deemed important by the Orange County Sherriff's Office. They declined to state the exact reason why the area was considered so important; however a search and rescue specialist told me that all of the high priority areas are based on either cell phone towers that pinged Casey Anthony's phone during the time Caylee went missing or areas where she was allegedly seen during that same timeframe.

The particular area we searched today was mostly swampy, with areas of loose sand and dense brush. Two dog handlers joined us in the search, one a cadaver dog and the other a K 9 that had been specifically trained to find bones

Shortly after beginning the search, my team did make two interesting finds, although it remains unclear if either is relevant to the investigation.

The first find consisted of two plastic bottles - bleach and clear ammonia - that had been discarded together next to a dirt trail. On the opposite end of that same trail, another team member found a child size book bag that was blue with a pink heart.
We flagged both discoveries and notified law enforcement of their whereabouts.

Several bones were also found during the search, including a small vertebra but none of them appeared to be human. Regardless, they were all flagged for closer inspection.

The remainder of the search was less productive. Mosquitoes, nats and fire ants could be found throughout the area and no matter how much bug spray we applied it was impossible to keep them off our bodies.

When I returned from the search I spoke with Robert Dummett, one of the search directors with Florida 3 Airboat Search and Rescue. I'll post more about that interview later tonight, along with some video and more photos.

Right now I am off to witness a protest that is supposed to take place in front of the Anthony family home. I have no intention of joining in and am only going in the off chance that Cindy Anthony might choose to make a statement.

Be sure to check back later!

Casey Anthony Released on Bond Again

Aired September 5, 2008 - 20:00:00 ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

NANCY GRACE, HOST: Breaking news tonight. Police desperately searching for a beautiful little 3-year-old Florida girl, Caylee, after her grandparents report her missing, little Caylee now not seen for 11 long weeks, last seen with her mother. So why didn`t Mommy call police?
Bombshell tonight. In the last hours, with evidence mounting against her, mom, Casey Anthony, walks out of jail surrounded by private bodyguards. That`s right, free on bond again. While a press release states an anonymous party posted the $500,000 bond because mom, Casey`s, quote, "rights have been violated," tonight we learn grandparents Cindy and George Anthony actually sign a promissory note backing by collateral that note to get mom, Casey, out of jail.

And sources confirm there was so much of the powerful chemical solution chloroform discovered by the FBI in mom, Casey Anthony`s, car trunk, even the air within the trunk was saturated -- the air was saturated with chloroform -- mom, Casey`s, computer revealing multiple visits to Web sites on chloroform. Investigators on the record confirm there is forensic evidence of human decomposition in mom, Casey`s, car trunk. All indicators are it was 3-year-old little Caylee.

And tonight, volunteers told to search for a rolled-up rug, a duffel bag and bones as the search goes on -- swamps, forests, bodies of water. Where is 3-year-old Caylee?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What happened with your daughter, Casey?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Where is your daughter? What did you (INAUDIBLE)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Where is Caylee?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I support you, Casey. I support you! Hold your head up high!

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Casey Anthony is now out of jail for the second time. She`s a free mom again for the second time.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Jose Baez this time had a couple of people in front of him, kind of blocking, almost bouncer-type people. We counted about 20 news crews that were here. There were helicopters overhead.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: They are right around the corner. As you can see, we starting to see the media trucks. So get ready. They are about to pull into their driveway.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We did confirm that it was George and Cindy Anthony who signed promissory notes with bond companies to get them to put up the $500,000 bond.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Casey Anthony arrived at her parents` home on Hope (ph) Spring Drive to a swarm of protesters and reporters. When I tried to find out how Cindy felt about Casey coming home again, she drowned out my questions with a loud alarm.

Cindy, did you want to say anything about Casey coming home? Cindy, did you want to say anything?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We know that the last time when she was bailed out, she had eight days being home. We know that we didn`t get any forward movement into to where little Caylee is. After all, this is all about what happened to her daughter. So now I`ll be curious to find what`s going to happen next.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: Good evening. I`m Nancy Grace. I want to thank you for being with us. Breaking news tonight in the desperate search for a 3-year-old Florida girl, Caylee. Mom, Casey Anthony, walks free from jail -- again.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The mother of missing Florida toddler Caylee Anthony is free again as we speak.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Anthony was surrounded by media this morning. You can barely make her out there. She was escorted out of the Orange County jail wearing an ankle monitoring bracelet and a T-shirt with Caylee`s picture on it.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CASEY ANTHONY, MOTHER OF MISSING TODDLER: My daughter`s been missing for the last 31 days.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

CINDY ANTHONY, GRANDMOTHER OF MISSING TODDLER: We got a notice about the car on Tuesday, July 15. When I finally met up with Casey, she said that Caylee was with the baby-sitter, Zanny. Caylee wasn`t with her, like she had told me she was with her for the last month.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: During that period of time, did you have any communication with the child?

CINDY ANTHONY: No.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You were denied that opportunity?

CINDY ANTHONY: It was an inopportunity (SIC), or there -- is all I can say.

She was kidnapped by Zenaida, and you know -- and that`s what she`s maintained. She told me, you know, some things during the month of June because she was trying to look for her and tried to get her back herself.

There was no reason to believe that Casey and Caylee weren`t together at any time.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CINDY ANTHONY: My next thing will be down to child (INAUDIBLE) things, and we`ll have a court order to get her. If that`s the way you want to play it, we`ll do it, and you`ll never...

CASEY ANTHONY: That`s not the way I want to play it.

CINDY ANTHONY: Well, then you have...

CASEY ANTHONY: Give me one more day.

CINDY ANTHONY: No, I`m not giving you another day. I`ve given you a month.

ORLANDO -- News 13 has learned a gun was taken from the home of the grandparents of missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony early Saturday morning.

The Orlando Sentinel reported Saturday Orange County deputies were seen taking something from the spare tire well in George Anthony's car.

. . . . . http://i36.tinypic.com/2r7pqfn.jpg

A spokesman with the Orange County Corrections Department told News 13 they received a tip sometime between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. Saturday of a handgun present on the Anthonys' property.

The weapon is being held by the Orange County Sheriff's Office for safe keeping.

Having a gun on the property is a violation of Casey Anthony's bail. Casey was released for the second time from the Orange County Jail Friday.

Excerpt: Investigators took a handgun from the trunk of George Anthony's car, which was parked in the garage. The weapon is now being held in Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The find could have cost Casey a trip back to the jail. Condition 15 of the home confinement agreement Casey signed states, "I will not possess or have in my residence or in my vehicle any deadly weapons. (Examples: firearms, martial arts weapons or explosives.)"

Orange County Corrections contacted the duty judge, Circuit Judge Daniel Dawson. According to Moore, Dawson said that he would take no action until he spoke with the judge who issued the bail order. Dawson spoke with Circuit Judge Stan Strickland early Saturday, who said that because there is no indication that Casey knew the gun was in the trunk, the jusge did not plan to return Casey to jail, Moore said.

Caylee Anthony : Ground Zero : Day 2 Update
September 6, 2008

I have a few minutes to spare, so I want to give you a quick update on what has been happening at the Texas EquuSearch command post.

I am happy to report that the volunteer effort has exploded today! I do not have an official count yet but I have personally seen hundreds (possibly a thousand or more) of people come out to join in the search. People from all over the country are here. Some volunteers have brought boats and ATV's, while others have showed up with backpacks and walking sticks.

Casey Anthony remains out of jail in home confinement

Helen Eckinger | Sentinel Staff Writer
2:37 PM EDT, September 6, 2008

Casey Anthony will not be rearrested today for violating the conditions of her home confinement, after deputies found a handgun in the trunk of her father's car.

Early this morning, deputies arrived at the home of Anthony's parents, where she has been staying since her most recent release from jail on Friday morning, after receiving a tip that there was a weapon on the property. There, they found a handgun in the trunk of Casey's father, George Anthony, according to Allen Moore, a spokesman for the Orange County Corrections Department.

Caylee Anthony : Ground Zero : Day 2 Update 3
September 6, 2008

All totaled, nearly 1,200 people showed up today to assist in the search for Caylee Anthony. That is a pretty amazing turnout, compared to the low numbers we were seeing last week.

One particular volunteer, a lady who is now answering phones in the command post, made my day when she said that this blog was the reason she came out to volunteer. I thought that was really great and I found it very touching.

In my last post, I informed you about the radio interview I was doing today with Shawn Wasson, host of "The News Junkie" on 1290 WJNO. In case you did not catch it, I'll be posting a copy of it as soon as the station uploads it to their Web site. Shawn's a great guy and I always enjoy going on his show.

After the interview, I drove out to the Anthony's house. It is maybe five miles from the EquuSearch command post, so whenever I am in route I try to swing by there to see if anything is happening. There was supposed to be a rally there at 3:00 p.m. but when I arrived there, at about 3:15 p.m., nothing was happening.

Can murder be proved without a body? There are ways
Sarah Lundy | Sentinel Staff Writer
September 7, 2008

Orange County investigators have suggested in recent weeks that missing 3-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony may be dead.

But can they prove it?

Nearly two months after Caylee's disappearance became public, the search for a child, living or dead, continues. Authorities have charged the toddler's mother, 22-year-old Casey Anthony, with child neglect, but she remains a "person of interest" in what could turn out to be a homicide case.

If no girl is found, legal experts say that prosecuting anyone for murder would be a challenge -- but it has been done.

"If the body has not been found or recovered, [prosecutors] must present circumstantial evidence that allows the jury to conclude the victim is dead and died at the hands of the defendant," said Charles Putnam, a former prosecutor and researcher at Justiceworks, a research group in justice studies at the University of New Hampshire.

In most homicide cases, prosecutors have a body as direct evidence that a killing took place.

Investigators in Modesto, Calif., waited until the bodies of Laci Peterson and her unborn child were found in 2003 before they charged her husband, Scott Peterson, who had been identified as a person of interest for months.

Without a body, circumstantial evidence becomes key.

This can include evidence acquired by crime-scene investigators, statements from witnesses, and details about the behavior and actions of the suspect in the crime. To prove a circumstantial case, the information presented at trial must be sufficient to convince a jury that a murder is the only reasonable explanation of what took place.

This summer, prosecutors in Polk County did this when a jury convicted Roy Ballard of first-degree murder for killing his stepdaughter.

Autumn Marie Traub, 33, disappeared Sept. 13, 2006, and her body was never found. A jury recommended the death penalty.

He is awaiting sentencing by a judge.

Forensic tests

In Ballard's case, authorities had forensic tests that showed Traub's blood was on a bag in the trunk of Ballard's car. He bought a pipe more than a week before she disappeared. A witness who shared a cell with Ballard testified that Ballard confided to him how he brutally beat his stepdaughter and used acidic water to get rid of the body.

Polk County prosecutors would not comment about the case because the outcome is pending. However, 10th Circuit State Attorney's Office spokesman Chip Thullbery said, "Theoretically, you could have a no-body case that was stronger than a body case, depending on the all the facts."

In Seminole County, seven years passed between the disappearance of 14-year-old Kathy Engels and the guilty verdict for her killer, Anton Daryl Meyers. This 1994 case was the first time veteran prosecutor Chris White ever pushed forward with murder charges without a body

"There were a bunch of facts that made me confident we could do it," he said.

Three jailhouse snitches testified that Meyers confessed to them. Meyers was seen with the teenager on the night she disappeared. Investigators also found a shoe impression on Meyers' chest that matched the type of sneakers worn by Engels -- as if someone had kicked him hard, White said.

Applying pressure

Meyers was sentenced to death. But in 2001, Meyers agreed to confess to the killing and lead authorities to Engels' body if the state would convert his death sentence to life in prison. Investigators dug up her remains in a wooded lot between a chiropractor's office and a bank on Lake Mary Boulevard.

Caylee Anthony : Ground Zero : Cyber Search

I am still on the scene in Orlando, Florida, helping look for Casey Anthony's missing daughter, three-year-old Caylee Anthony.

I have been receiving hundreds of emails from readers who are unable to get involved in the search, but who would like me to look at specific areas (Jay Blanchard Park) and to photograph specific places (location of the dumpster).

Given the fact that so many people are out looking again today, I have decided to devote the entire day to YOU.

I am going to start with Jay Blanchard Park, but from there I will go to wherever you send me. If you have a specific area where you want me to go, leave a comment at the bottom of this blog entery, along with the physical address for that location. While I have many of the addresses on my computer it will take me time to look them up. If you send a note saying "check such and such dumpster" that will not help me, as I am not from this area and have to rely on GPS. That being said, please take a moment to look up the address and include it in your post. Also, I obviously cannot explore large wooded areas by myself, so please keep your suggestions to areas which are feasible for me to look at or photograph.

I need the physical address for whichever location you send me to so that I can spend my time traveling there, rather than going through the time consuming task of looking it up myself.

Please note that comments here are moderated, so don't become concerned if yours does not go up the instant you post it. Whenever I leave a specific location, I will check back here to see where you want me to go next.

Texas EquuSearch has my cell phone number and they have promised to keep me informed of any breaks in the case.

Now is your chance to get involved!

Tourists Travel To See, Photograph Missing Caylee Anthony's Mom
POSTED: 7:55 am EDT September 7, 2008
UPDATED: 8:05 am EDT September 7, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Florida tourists and other families are traveling to the home of Casey Anthony for a chance to see and possibly photograph the woman and chaos in her neighborhood.

The vacationing Parry family abandoned their vacation plans over the weekend, grabbed a camera and traveled to the home of Caylee Anthony's mother and family in Orange County.

"This is our last day before we go back (to Missouri) and we just had to see it for ourselves," Florida vacationer Tony Parry said.

Another family from Christmas, Fla., with eight children was seen posing for photographs in front of the Anthony home Saturday night.

"There has to be closure somehow, this will never end," a woman said late Saturday.

When Casey Anthony's mother, Cindy, stepped outside of the house Saturday, a man yelled, "You are going to burn in hell, Cindy" and others insulted her.

Saturday night there were about 100 people standing outside the home watching her.

Gawkers descend on Anthony home

FOX 35 NEWS

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- Gawkers from as far away as Indiana descended Sunday at the Anthony home, where Casey Anthony is out on bond under home confinement.

One woman knocked on the Anthony door, but when no one answered, she left a bouquet of roses at the doorstep, according to FoOX 35 News reporter Cheryl Getuiza.

Casey Anthony, the 22-year-old mother of missing toddler Caylee Antony , is out on bond facing charges of child neglect, lying to police and check fraud. Her brother, Lee, was keeping her company Sunday after her parents, Cindy and George, left before 10 a.m. this morning.

Another weekly vigil is planned for around 8:30 p.m, tonight outside the Anthony house.

Authorities received a tip late Friday night that almost landed Casey Anthony back in jail.

The tip led authorities to the Anthony house. A caller reported that there was a weapon on the property.

Texas Equusearch
Daily Search Update
Sunday 9/7/08

12:00noon
A little over 300 searchers have shown up so far this morning, with large numbers still arriving. With morning church services letting out, we expect to be receiving people throughout the next few hours. We are hoping to have the same type of turnout as yesterday by the end of the day. No real news as of yet, but we will continue to keep the site updated.

08:00am
The search will start at 8:00 this morning, with people beginning to arrive much earlier. If you have a chance, download the volunteer form, found on the "Official Search Info" page, fill it out and have it ready when you get to the site. That should cut down on your processing time. We'll have updates throughout the day. Remember to take a scarf or handkerchief that you can keep wet, across your neck or to wipe your forehead with. With high temps and humidity, it is extremely important to keep yourself hydrated.

Saturday 9/6/08

10:00pm

The final count on searchers that signed in was 1,169 today. So, including the Texas EquuSearch people and law enforcement, plus the searchers that we know did not sign in, we know that there were over 1,200 people out today. What a great show of support for baby Caylee !! Tim Miller expressed his extreme gratitude to everyone that showed up today and every day for the search, and those who have donated in other ways. He says that he feel that they have made well over 1,500 new "friends", and that this little child has affected so many peoples' hearts, that it is truly incredible. Not one person that has been involved in this effort will ever pass another "Missing Person" flyer in a store window, and think of it in the same way again.

4:00pm
Over 800 searchers showed up today, which is wonderful. For tomorrow, more donations are needed of water and items such as Gatorade and power type drinks. EMS had to be called 3 times today for heat related incidents. With temperatures in the 90's and humidity extremely high, it is urgent that searchers keep themselves well hydrated. If you are coming out to search on Sunday, please bring a scarf or something to dip into ice water, along with something to carry water in. Equusearch is extremely concerned about the safety and wellbeing of search volunteers.

2:30pm
Texas Equusearch is now asking volunteers to bring their own lunch. All of the donations of food are sincerely appreciated. However, Texas Equusearch is not licensed to handle food, and the question of liability has come up. There have been many, many donations of food over the last week that have kept our volunteers sustained through the long, arduous days of searching. Without these donations, we would not have been able to feed the many people that have donated their time. However, we ask that volunteers begin to bring their own packed lunch from here on out.

12:00 noon
Over 500 people are currently at the site, searching for precious Caylee. People continue to arrive to volunteer in this massive undertaking. This is a wonderful turnout and Tim Miller and Mandy Albritton are very happy with the turnout so far. They asked me to post here that they extend their thanks to the entire community for their support. Although they are the organizational unit behind the search, the search could not continue without the support of both the local Orlando community and the online community who is doing so much. So on their behalf, THANK YOU !!!

There is no pricetag that can be put on a child. However, in talking to everyone that is supporting the search efforts, we find that people have arrived in Orlando from as far away as PA, ND, WS, OH, GA, IL, MS, TX and LA and many other places to join the search. People are donating their time, supplies, food and efforts to find this precious little girl. The hours of overtime spent by the OCSO, combined with all the other efforts of the local and far-reaching communities is over-whelming. Thank you does not seem to be enough....there are no words to say except thank you.

Friday 9/5/08

About 200+ searchers today, even with bad weather. Good going, and let's hope for more searchers over the weekend.

The search is scheduled to start at 8:00am at 6317 TPC Boulevard in Orlando, FL

The Caylee Casey Anthony Case & Caylee's Song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbX4OA2Kkss

Lyrics to song -

Please lead me and take my hand
Why are we searching when Caylee's gone?
Stop lying, where is Caylee?
CHORUS:
Every time we try to say goodbye
Without you here we start to cry
I guess we feel you Caylee
And every time we see you in our dreams
We see your face resting in peace
I guess we feel you Caylee
We make believe that you are here
It's the only way we'll see clear
What's Casey done?
She seems to move uneasy
CHORUS
Casey can try to lie
"Please forgive me"
Her jealousy caused you pain
And she's still not sorry
Oh
At night we pray that soon you'll come back home someday
CHORUS

Equusearch halts search for Caylee

Last Edited: Sunday, 07 Sep 2008, 4:03 PM EDT

By Elisha Pappacoda

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- Texas Equusearch announced today that it will cease searching for Caylee Anthony -- at least for now.

The team of volunteers -- which numbered in the thousands Saturday -- is disbanding due to flooding conditions which director Tim Miller said has been preventing them from being able to properly search for the missing toddler.

During a 3 p.m. news conference with Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary, Miller he feared the searchers' vehicles could possibly run over the body of Caylee Anthony if she was submerged under flood waters. Miller said he did not want to compromise any evidence.

Miller also stressed that the suspension of the search is only temporary, and that the group would return to find Caylee as soon conditions improve.

Equusearch had been looking for the child for 10 days, most recently in a secluded area near the airport where Casey might have gone during the time Caylee first disappeared.

Miller and the grandparents of Caylee had clashed over the nature ofthe search. TheAnthony's insist thst Caylee is alive and that the group should be searching for a live child, not a dead body.

Meantime, Casey Anthony, the mother of 3-year-old Caylee, remains at her parents home while out on bond and under home confinment. She is charged with child neglect and lying to authorities in the search for her missing daughter.

Caylee Anthony : Ground Zero : Cyber Search Update

So far I have been to Jay Blanchard Park and the Hidden Oaks School. I met up with an EquuSearch team behind the school and they were in the process of completing a thorough sweep of the area. The team leader informed me that divers are currently searching a number of lakes in the area.

Interestingly enough, I bumped into a journalist and photographer from the Orlando Sentinel who are, according to the reporter, "writing an article on from a searchers perspective." Interesting. Why didn't I think of that? Oh but wait... I did. lol. It's all good though. Anyone who lets the public know about this search is welcomed and I respect them for getting down and dirty with the rest of us.

At any rate, I will give more in-depth details later and will post photos of the areas I have been too. I will also update this particular post whenever I cross off a certain area.

In the mean time, please continue to post your suggestions, but remember: I need a PHYSICAL ADDRESS. Telling me to go to a location "three miles from her house" or something of that nature does not help me, as I have to rely on GPS.

For my own safety, I cannot say where I am going next but I will let you know as soon as I leave there.

Thanks for all the great suggestion and keep them coming!

UPDATE: 3:12 p.m. - I just left Sawgrass Appts. I located the dumpster and took photographs. I am now continuing on to another location. - BTW, does anyone have the name of the Tattoo business where Casey got her Tattoo? Also, can someone please post the addy for the club and for Amscot, where she left the car? Some of these are mentioned in the 400 pages of court documents. I have them with me but I do not have the time to read through them again right now. Thanks!

UPDATE: 4:33 p.m. - Thanks to everyone who has responded to my requests! I have since been to 232 Glenwood, 301 N.Hillside Drive and 7501 Colonial. I post more information on those locations later. Right now I am going to check out a few other places.

EquuSearch stops search for Caylee Anthony
Amy Edwards | Sentinel Staff Writer
4:14 PM EDT, September 7, 2008

Texas EquuSearch suspended its search for missing 3-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony Sunday afternoon, saying that water that remains from Tropical Storm Fay is preventing them from clearing areas fully.

"We know where Caylee's not at," said Tim Miller, the group's founder and director. Miller said the decision to suspend the search was difficult, but that the group will return when conditions are right. "If Caylee's out there, we are going to find her."

About 2,500 volunteers have come out since the group started organizing daily searches late last month. They have been combing through thick brush in areas near the Anthony family's Lee Vista home, looking for the child. Caylee Marie has not been seen since mid-June. She was reported missing in July, and investigators say she is probably dead.

At a press conference announcing the suspension Sunday, Sheriff Kevin Beary said his office will continue its investigation. "I applaud all these volunteers," he said.

Search For Caylee Called Off
Sunday, September 07, 2008 4:39:21 PM

ORLANDO -- Texas EquuSearch has temporarily called off its ground search for missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony.

On Sunday, the group cited environmental conditions and concerns for stopping the search.

Texas EquuSearch leader Tim Miller said the volunteers cleared off the areas they had of interest the best they could, but he said when Caylee disappeared, those areas were very dry and now those areas are holding a considerable amount of water.

Miller said because of those conditions, they cannot clear those areas 100 percent.

“I just have a huge concern that if Caylee is out there and her little body and something did happen to her, and she’s just possibly skeletal remains, if we’re going through there with four-wheelers and horses and just accidentally run over her because she’s under that water and we can’t see her, we’re going to push her more in the mud,” Miller said.

Miller went on to say that Caylee deserves the dignity of having her special spot.

“I know where she’s at right now is not a place she chose to be. So when the conditions get better, we’re going to come back, we’re going to find this little girl and we’re going to bring some closure to this entire community,” Miller said.

Members spent last week searching with volunteers. More than 1200 of them searched wooded areas around the Anthony home and Orlando International Airport Saturday. Several hundred searched again on Sunday.

Along with local efforts, EquuSearch said it's starting a national campaign Monday.

For information on how you can volunteer, call Texas EquuSearch at (866) 473-1584.

Calling For Calm
Meanwhile Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary called for an end to the protests that have sometime turned violent outside the home of the missing girl's family.

Dozens of people have been lining up nightly outside the Anthony family home since Casey Anthony was released from prison last week.

However, Beary said responding to the protests is taking away resources they could better use to find Caylee.

"There are two sides to every story and we don't need that kind of battling going on. So I'm going to ask the community to calm down a little bit, focus on one thing… Caylee Anthony, that's the main focus,” Beary said. “That's always been the main focus and it needs to continue to be the main focus.”

Beary also said Casey may be the missing part to this puzzle, but asked others who may know anything about the case to come forward as well.

Security Cameras Installed At Anthony Home

Workers began installing security cameras around the home of Caylee Anthony's grandparents, where the missing 3-year-old's mother, Casey, is staying after being bailed out of jail.

A security company showed up Saturday at the home of George and Cindy Anthony to install the cameras, presumably for the family's protection.

The cameras are becoming necessary as crowds continue to gather outside the home, and neighbors try to take back their street.

News 13 learned a gun was taken from the spare tire well of George Anthony's SUV early Saturday morning. See previous story.

Having a gun on the property is a violation of Casey Anthony's bail, but the judge who issued the bail said Casey would not be taken back into custody, since it seemed she was unaware of the gun.

George Anthony Headed to Jail For Assaulting Protesters?

George Anthony, father of Casey Anthony and grandfather of missing three-year-old Caylee Anthony, freaked out on a group of protesters today and allegedly pushed two of them - a young man and an old lady - because they were standing in front of his house.

I was not on the scene when the argument occurred; however I did locate both victims of the alleged attack and they agreed to talk about it.

I have posted the first video here: http://www.youtube.com/user/crimewriter74. Please note that I just uploaded it and it may take that site a few minutes to comvert it.

I will add the second video to the same site later tonight. I am still on scene right now and it is not very feasible for me to post it with my Blackberry.

As you can tell from the videos, both of the alleged victims are thinking about pressing charges.

In related news, the sheriff's department was on scene when I arrived, busy handing out tickets to anyone who drove by and honked the horn in front of the house. They were also giving tickets to motorists who were blocking the road.

I'll have more updates later, along with an entry about my activities from earlier today.

People from all over going to Anthony’s home

Last Edited: Sunday, 07 Sep 2008, 10:56 PM EDT

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- Day after day, week after week more and more traffic. Eyes and cameras focused on almost every move the Anthony’s make. “We need to find some sort of way to get her to talk, to get her to be open I mean this is her family this is her life,” said search volunteer Brittni Darbonnier.

She brought her friend Rebecca Gehrke visiting from Indiana. “It’s like what is going on? Why are they not searching I mean, even in Indiana we get an alert, why is no one searching for this child? Why is she out of jail? What do the grandparents know? If I were a grandmother, Id be searching for my grandchild.”

And that's the one thing that frustrates many including Michael Anderson. He spent the morning looking for Caylee too after searching he just had to come to the home for a face to face meeting.
“I just wanted to know why we were out looking for little Caylee and they were at the house not looking for little Caylee and I feel like its unright and it irritates me a little bit. She said the reason why she was not out looking for her, is because she wants to look for her under the pretense that she’s alive and not deceased. Then I said God bless you and she slapped the door in my face.

Monica george wrote a song for the family, her way of telling them how she feels. “Oh dear, what could the matter be, Casey baby killer is getting sent to the penitentiary Shell be there from now til eternity, sorry but nobody cares.”

As long as Casey Anthony is free these folks say they'll continue to stand outside the home.

The mother of missing toddler Caylee Anthony is expected to make her first appearance Monday since posting bail a second time, as bad weather forced volunteers to call off their search for the child, MyFOXOrlando.com reports.

Casey Anthony, 22, is expected to leave her parents' home to meet with her home confinement case manager to provide her schedule for the week, MyFOXOrlando.com said. She's been charged with child abuse and making false statements to investigators in Caylee's disappearance, as well as with check fraud in an unrelated investigation.

8:25 a.m. -- Casey Anthony will leave her home today for the first time since she was released from jail on Friday. She will meet with her home confinement case manager this afternoon at the Orange County Jail administration building.

She will be allowed to leave at 12:30 p.m. and must be home at 4 p.m., according to jail records. The purpose of the visit is to establish her schedule for the upcoming week to determine when she can leave and where she can go.

Last time Anthony was released from jail, she was allowed to leave the home to go to church and scheduled numerous visits with her attorney, Jose Baez. At least once a week she will receive an unannounced visit from a home confinement officer, according to jail records.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- Casey Anthony, mother of missing 3-year-old Caylee, gets her first chance to leave her home Monday as part of her home confinement restriction.

At 12:30 p.m. Monday, Casey will have to meet with her home confinement case manager. During that meeting, a schedule for the coming week will be provided to let her know where she may go and at what times.

During her last home confinement, Casey was given a weekly schedule that included a church visit and several visits with her attorney, Jose Baez.

Part of her restriction of home confinement is that her home will be visited at least once a week - unannounced - by a home confinement field officer.

1:32 p.m. -- Casey Anthony spent about 15 minutes meeting with a home confinement officer at the Orange County Jail this afternoon. She arrived at the jail administration building with her brother Lee and dad George around 1:15 p.m. She left around 1:30 p.m.

The 22-year-old woman was escorted by bodyguards to the building. She arrived in her father's vehicle and walked briskly with her head down.

She was wearing a tan hat and a blue T-shirt with her missing daughter's photo on the front. She had nothing to reporters as she walked to the building. This is the first time she has left the family home on Hopespring Drive since she was released from jail on Friday morning.

Casey Anthony left holding her brother's hand and got into her father's car. She said nothing to reporters when she left.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss her upcoming schedule to determine when she will be allowed to leave her parents home.

Today she was given an extension on her time away from the house so she could meet with attorney Jose Baez at his Kissimmee office. Anthony has to be back at her house this evening by 6 p.m.

Anthony did not schedule any leaves this weekend, according to jail spokesman Allen Moore. She will meet again with the home confinement officer on Monday.

Anthony is subject to random drug and alcohol tests, but she was not tested today, Moore said. A home confinement officer can and will make random, unannounced visits at her home.

Caylee Anthony : Ground Zero : Goodbye Florida

I spent the majority of the day checking off a list of areas that I wanted to look at and photograph before leaving Florida. I am currently uploading those images, along with the ones that I took during the "Cyber Search." I was going to upload them here, but after giving it some more thought I decided that was not a very feasible thing to do. Instead, I am going to assemble them in a slide show later this week.

I will be flying out of Orlando tomorrow. Part of me is happy to be returning home, but another part of me wishes that things were different. I was hoping I would be here to see some major developments in the search for Caylee Anthony, but unfortunately that was not to be. This is not the end though and in the event of another major development I will do my best to get back to Florida, so that I can provide you with all the latest details.

I would like to personally thank Tim Miller and Texas EquuSearch for welcoming me into their family and I would also like to thank all you, my readers, for all of the well wishes and comments that were sent my way. I am thankful for each and every one of you and I hope that you will continue to use this site as a daily source for crime news.

Thanks!

High-profile lawyer representing Casey Anthony's parents to make national media blitz

Amy L. Edwards and Bianca Prieto | Sentinel Staff Writers
September 9, 2008

High-profile lawyer Mark NeJame - who is representing George and Cindy Anthony - plan to make a national media blitz Wednesday in effort to get the public's focus off his clients and on the search for their missing granddaughter, 3-year-old Caylee Marie. Missing-children organization Never Lose Hope Foundation helped the Anthony's retain NeJame who is working at a reduce rate.

Caylee Marie was last seen in mid-June. Her mother, Casey Anthony, 22, is charged with child neglect, filing a false statement with law enforcement and check fraud. Investigators called her a "person of interest" in her daughter's disappearance.

Before NeJame headed north, he sat down with the Orlando Sentinel to answer a few questions about George and Cindy Anthony. Check out the interview Wednesday morning on our Web site.

Casey Anthony Offered More Than $1M To Tell Story
George Anthony May Avoid Charges For Protester Scuffle

POSTED: 5:27 pm EDT September 9, 2008
UPDATED: 7:33 pm EDT September 9, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- WESH 2 has learned about offers of more than $1 million for Casey Anthony to tell her story.

A defense fund is also in the process of being established for her.

A spokesman for Jose Baez said offers have come in as high as $1.5 million for book rights, movie rights, TV deals, even a pay-per-view offer.

"I can tell you just for interview areas alone they can range from $50,000 to $350,000. We've even had an offer come from an overseas company that specializes in pay per view and those offers can exceed $1 million," Jose Baez Law Firm spokesman Todd Black said.

Black said they're listening to all offers but for now not accepting anything.

"We've made it clear to everyone that their inquiry will be put in to a file and we don't know whether that file will ever have to be opened," Black said.

Much of it, Black said, depends on how extensive Casey Anthony's defense will have to be.

He said they're building a Web site for Casey Anthony’s defense fund and assembling a team of defense experts.

People in downtown Orlando had opinions about the possibility of Casey Anthony selling her story to raise money for her defense.

"She has no right to do that. I think she needs to tell people where the little girl is," one person said.

"She does absolutely deserve the right to a fair trial, but I'm still not 100 percent with it," another person said.

Black points out these kinds of offers are not unusual for people high-profile cases like this.

The lawyer for Cindy and George Anthony said they are not considering any similar offers.

George Anthony May Avoid Charges For Protester Scuffle

Another member of the Anthony family has been under a watchful eye recently.

Grandfather George Anthony was captured on video Monday shoving two protesters in front of the East Orange County home.

Since mid-July when Caylee Anthony was reported missing, the case has received national attention and stirred up emotions in the Central Florida community.

George and Cindy Anthony’s lawyer researched the area in front of the home between the sidewalk and the street at the end of the driveway to determine what is public property and what is private property that George Anthony can lay claim to.

His lawyer said he is confident that George Anthony will not face any type of charges as a result of the incident.

The State Attorney's Office said that because the incident was a non-arrest case, it won't be as high-profile, so it will head to the bottom of the stack and could be weeks or even months before they make a decision about whether he will be formally charged. He may face some type of summons, but not be arrested.

Did A News Organization Post Casey Anthony's Bond?

From a TVNewser tipster: "a major mainstream news organization is the reason Casey Anthony was bonded out jail — yep a major news organization posted her bail."

TVNewser is making calls on this tip.

Anthony made bail for a second time on Friday. The Orlando Sentinel reported, "A public-relations firm that represents Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, issued a statement saying that said an 'individual' who wishes to remain anonymous posted bond for Anthony because of concern that her constitutional rights have been violated."

Also today, the Orlando Sentinel's Hal Boedeker reports that high-profile Florida attorney Mark NeJame, who's been advising Anthony's parents, is making the TV rounds today: "He will be on NBC's "Today," on Nancy Grace's show on CNN Headline News and on Greta Van Susteren's show on Fox News Channel. "Today" said he would be on in the 9 a.m. half-hour, which WESH-Channel 2 shows at 10 a.m. There could be more interviews. I'm told he might visit CBS' "The Early Show" and ABC's "Good Morning America," Boedeker writes.

Limit Caylee coverage
Breaking news only
September 10, 2008

Although I agree in part with the Sentinel's Tuesday editorial about the Caylee Anthony-case "sideshow," it is about time to place the blame for what has become a fiasco where it belongs.

If Casey Anthony would state that Caylee is not dead and would take a lie-detector test, all the searchers could return to their homes and money would be saved. Unfortunately, so many of us fear Caylee is dead.

This case has been in the news so much throughout our country and abroad that it would be difficult to assemble a grand jury in the Australian Outback. In the meantime, the press should limit its coverage unless there is a real break in the case, and the protesters might leave. The residents in the area deserve a break, as well.

Casey's Attorney Files Motion To Block Testing Of More Evidence

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's attorney now wants detectives to stop all evidence testing in the case. Eyewitness News first reported two weeks ago that recent evidence tests show that Caylee is dead and that she had been in the trunk of Casey's car.

LEE ANTHONY TAKES, DAMAGES PROTESTER'S SIGN

The Caylee Anthony case took yet another bizarre turn late Wednesday afternoon. The Anthonys called deputies because of a protester, who came all the way from Altoona in Lake County with her St. Bernard Bernice to make her point, and then turned their sprinklers in an attempt to make her move.

"I'm not being funny with what I said on the sign. I really feel that most people would go through a lot more effort to look for their missing dog than Casey's made to go look for her missing daughter," Liz Pounders told Eyewitness News.

The deputies told Pounders and Eyewitness News that she has a right to be there, but the Anthony's just don't want to accept that. After confronting the woman and demanding she move, Lee Anthony grabbed her sign.

Lee took the sign down to the driveway of the home next door, jumped on top of it, crushing it and then forced it into his neighbor's garbage can. He also broke the sign's stand before returning to the protester and dumping out her dog's water bowl.

Seconds later, a man who watched the incident unfold took the sign out of the trash and returned it to Pounder, who promptly set it back up outside the home.

HOA WANTS TO KEEP OUT PROTESTERS

The homeowner's association in charge of the Anthonys neighborhood is now trying to get an injunction to stop protesters from gathering there. But, at least for now, they're allowed.

 :tongue:ALZHEIMER'S PATIENTS SIGHT-SEEING AT ANTHONY HOME

Orlando is known for its theme parks and tourist attractions, now add the Anthony house to the list. A tour bus full of Alzheimer's patients stopped by to sight-see Wednesday.

The Anthony home on Hopespring Drive has now become something of a tourist attraction. The group of 10 Alzheimer's patients from Village Oaks Assisted Living Community decided to scrap regular stops at the beach or park Wednesday.

"'You want to go on a fieldtrip?' They said, 'Ya!' We said, 'Where do you want to go?' They said, 'Let's go to the Casey Anthony house,'" explained Amanda Booth, Village Oaks at Tuskawilla.

Casey Anthony's attorney: make forensic testing fair

Sarah Lundy | Sentinel Staff Writer
5:54 PM EDT, September 10, 2008

TODAY'S UPDATES:

Casey Anthony's attorney filed a motion, requesting the state stop testing and handling forensic evidence until the court rules on how the testing will proceed. Authorities collected hair, dirt and stain samples from the back of Anthony's car, which was towed from an Amscot check-cashing business on June 30. Air samples taken from the trunk showed that it once contained a decomposing body.

Anthony reported her daughter, Caylee Marie, missing in mid-July -- more than a month after she was last seen alive.

In the three-page motion filed Tuesday, Jose Baez wrote how forensic testing can be "destructive" on the samples, which also can be mishandled.

CAYLEE ANTHONY UPDATE #12 September 11, 2008

Investigators have not made an additional arrest on the defendant and cannot provide any projection on case developments until it is proper to do so. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office as received multiple inquiries pertaining to the information that was released this morning by the Orange/.Osceola State Attorney’s Office pertaining to the charges that have been levied against Defendant Casey Anthony.

The information charged by the State Attorney is in regards to the economic crimes cases that the defendant was arrested for on 8/29/08 and 9/03/08 respectively. The information charged will speak for itself and we will not be able to respond to their consolidation as this is the purview of the SA. I have included their release as a courtesy for those who may not have it.

The Anthony residence on Hopespring Drive continues to receive media, protestors and curiosity seekers attention at every turn in this investigation. While we recognize an individual’s right to express their views, we want to remind all involved that the residents (parents/children) of this community also have an interest in going about their business with as little disturbance to their daily lives as possible. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will handle the calls for service with this in mind and we will not disrupt an otherwise legal action unless it is a violation of law. This includes any infractions and violations that are observed at the time of our involvement or reported to us, if appropriate. Sheriff Kevin Beary remains committed with protecting and exercising all proper enforcement efforts to this end.

We are requesting that any reference regarding the location to call in tips be sent to www.cfcrimeline.com where the caller can click on Caylee’s photo and provide the information the caller feels is pertinent. We have made this request previously, but continue to see the telephone number advertised. We are making this request because the telephone lines are receiving calls that are clearly not regarding any viable tips, but are speculative and assisting sleuths who are offering their ideas, and occasionally it is also mistaken for the particular programs call-in line. Anyone wanting to provide monetary assistance can donate to Crimeline.

Lee Almost Hits Protester with Car
Thursday passed much as days typically do on Hopespring Drive, thanks to the infamous case of missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony.

Protesters angry at her mother, Casey, who faces a child-neglect charge, ate fast food on the sidewalk and smoked cigarettes outside her home in east Orange County. They cursed at family members as they came and left. Family members cursed back.

Then Casey's brother Lee Anthony blazed into the driveway in a black Ford Mustang, missing a family of protesters -- including two school-age girls and a toddler -- by inches.

One girl bawled. Mothers shouted. Cameras surged forward to tape it.

"You can't slow down to give them a chance to move!" a crowd member shouted.

Neighbors are so frustrated by such scenes that an attorney representing the homeowners association said she plans to ask a judge today or Monday to order the protesters to limit their activities.

"We do not care if the content supports or criticizes the Anthonys. What we hope to accomplish is to restrict the time, place and manner of the protest to reasonable activities and hours," attorney Karen Wonsetler said.

She represents the 127 homeowners living in the Chickasaw Oaks Phase 3 subdivision that includes the home Casey Anthony shares with her parents, George and Cindy Anthony.

Residents have had little peace and quiet since Caylee Marie's disappearance became public. Protesters from all parts of Central Florida have been gathering outside the home since Orange deputies re-arrested Anthony on Aug. 29. The charges involved checks stolen from a friend in July.

The Anthony family has fought back. At one point, George Anthony yanked a protester's lawn chairs from the patch of grass between the sidewalk and street. Cindy Anthony confronted a female protester in a face-to-face argument on the sidewalk.

Lee Anthony attacked a Lake County woman's sign that read: "I wouldn't let my dog go missing for 1 month without looking!"

The Hopespring Drive home has become a local attraction. Curious motorists slow their cars to take in the scene. Gawkers come just to watch.

On Thursday, a man brought a 3-foot-by-3-foot tombstone-shaped chunk of plastic foam that read, "Caylee Anthony 2005-2008, Our angel rest in peace."

"This is insane. This is [expletive] insane," Cindy Anthony said as she walked across her front yard.

"You can't come out of the house. You're a joke," protester David Marzullo, 27, of Bradenton shouted to her.

Kalani Bowles, 18, a Valencia Community College student who came to show his support for Casey Anthony, got into a shouting match with Marzullo. Two women wearing " Bithlo Mud Racing" T-shirts joined in.

Questions Linger About Who Is Making Money Off Anthony Case

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Thursday night was relatively quiet outside the Anthony home with fewer protestors and no major confrontations. But there are questions about whether someone in the Anthony family is making money off the case.

Eyewitness News is following the money in the Caylee Anthony case, both the money Casey Anthony is charged with stealing and the money someone in the Anthony family may be making from home video obtained by ABC's 20/20.
Every day, Casey Anthony leaves her parent's home and is driven to her lawyer's office in Kissimmee by one family member or another and then driven back home. Casey's lawyer says he's being paid, but won't say by whom, and now Eyewitness News has learned that someone in the family might have gotten a big paycheck because of the tragedy.

Anthony Recorded Interviews Released
Documents Delivered To Anthony Family

POSTED: 12:02 pm EDT September 12, 2008
UPDATED: 7:01 pm EDT September 12, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Recorded interviews taken with Casey Anthony, mother of missing toddler Caylee Anthony, were released on Friday.

The recordings are from July 16 -- the day the young mother was arrested on child neglect charges.

The interviews were conducted at Universal Studios where Anthony claimed she worked, but she later told detectives that was a lie.

In the interviews, Anthony sticks to her story that she dropped Caylee off at a baby sitter's apartment.

The written transcripts of the interviews were released to WESH 2 News a few weeks ago, but a spokesman with the Orange County Sheriff's Office pointed out that when listening to the interview it is possible to observe Anthony's demeanor.

Meanwhile, the action started at the Anthony's east Orange County home at around 8 a.m. on Friday.

A man drove up to deliver documents to the family. The state attorney's office said the documents are likely court papers coming from a process server.

The protests and shouting matches are also continuing outside the house.

"You want to get rich off your dead granddaughter," one protester said.

Grandmother Cindy Anthony showed her frustration with protester Sharon Reed.

Cindy Anthony wanted her to step away from their Kid-Finder mobile billboard that features a giant picture of missing Caylee.

Reed showed up with a giant piece of cardboard. On the sign she wrote about all the things that concern her most about the case. She claims the whole family isn't telling the truth.

"Caylee needs someone to speak up for her," she said.

During that interview, Cindy Anthony came out for a second time to grab a bag of trash another protester tried to take away.

"If you want the damn garbage then put it in your car," Cindy Anthony said.

It's this chaos that the homeowner's association hopes a judge will put a stop to.

Attorney Hires Guards To Keep Peace At Anthony Home

The bodyguards that escorted Casey Anthony, mother of missing toddler Caylee Anthony, out of the Orange County Jail the second time have been hired by Jose Baez, Anthony’s attorney, to keep the peace at the family’s East Orange County home.

The past two Friday nights have been chaotic with tension and emotions running between protesters and the Anthonys.

'Monsters,' Disruptive Protesters Outside Anthony Home Prompt Suit

POSTED: 6:41 pm EDT September 12, 2008
UPDATED: 7:06 pm EDT September 12, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Aggressive protesters outside the home of Casey Anthony and her parents, including a group dressing up as demons and monsters, have prompted the neighborhood home owner's association to file a lawsuit against the crowds.

Crowds of tourists and Central Floridians have traveled to the Orange County home of Casey Anthony and her parents daily since the woman was released from jail and allowed to return home. A search continues for her missing daughter, Caylee, 3.

Friday, Local 6 learned that the Chickasaw Oaks Homeowner's Association is suing the protesters and fighting to stop demonstrators from disrupting the peace.

The HOA wants to basically set up a protest zone down the street from Casey Anthony's home, Local 6's Mike DeForest reported.

The HOA claims that the protesters have forced at least one homeowner to put their home up for sale.

The association is asking a judge to limit where and when the protests can occur.

According to the lawsuit: "The association is seeking to reasonably limit the nuisance activities that have caused irreparable harm and damage to the quiet use and enjoyment of the residential neighborhood."

The protesters are being offered a piece of vacant property on which to congregate. The land is about a block away from the Anthony home.

Some people said they have a right to be heard at the Anthony's home.

"All I want today is for the whole United States of America to never, ever send the (Anthony) family any money," demonstrator Sharon Reed said.

Audio of Casey Anthony's July 16 interview with investigators reveals deception, voice-analysis expert says
Bianca Prieto | Sentinel Staff Writer
September 13, 2008

Audio recordings released Friday of Anthony's interview with Orange County Sheriff's Office investigators offer new details about the 22-year-old single mother as she was pressed hard for the truth.

To Susan Constantine, a local jury consultant and expert in voice-stress analysis, the recordings of the July 16 interview are revealing.

Constantine listened to the statements Anthony made a day after she was arrested and charged with child neglect, filing a false statement and obstructing a criminal investigation.

Constantine said she heard deception from Anthony, who has maintained she left her daughter with a person officials say doesn't exist -- a baby sitter named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez.

Investigator: Did Zenaida give you any money that day [you last saw Caylee]?

Anthony: No. I would not have sold my daughter. If I wanted to really just get rid of her, I would've just left her with my parents and I would've left. I would've moved out. I would've given my mom custody.

Why is this important? Anthony's high-school friend told detectives that Anthony did not want to have the child and was exploring adoption. Her mother, Cindy Anthony, opposed that.

Constantine: Anthony was asked a yes-or-no question but said a lot more. "Too much information is a true sign of lying."

Investigator: Is your daughter in a better place? . . . Are you worried about her?

Anthony: No, she's not. . . . I'm absolutely petrified. If she was with her family right now, she'd be in the best place. She's not. She's with someone that I absolutely do not trust. And I'm absolutely scared that . . .

Why is this important? Throughout the interview, investigators make it clear that they think Anthony is lying about her daughter's whereabouts.

The detectives insinuate they think the child is dead and Anthony knows where the body is.

Constantine : Anthony has "a bit of sarcasm in her voice. She is also nervous when she says 'absolutely' twice. She fumbles for a word that will add validity to her statement. She says 'absolutely scared,' and that is probably the most telling sign of deception. She is also quite rehearsed in her statements."

Investigator: Who exerts the most pressure on you?

Anthony: Um, my mom does, absolutely.

Why is this important? Friends told investigators that Anthony and her mother had problems in the past, including Anthony stealing money from her family. However, Cindy Anthony described her daughter as her "best friend" during an unusually detailed bond hearing in July.

Constantine: "I am not convinced by Casey's tone in her voice that she felt controlled by her mom. A genuine emotion is lower and softer. Her words were not congruent with her vocal tone."

Casey Anthony Enters Not Guilty Plea On 10 Check Fraud Charges
Judge To Decide On Neighborhood Protester Injunction

POSTED: 7:57 pm EDT September 14, 2008
UPDATED: 8:14 pm EDT September 14, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony, mother of missing Caylee Anthony, entered a plea on Sunday to 10 felony check fraud charges filed against her last week.

She has also turned down the right to have an arraignment on those charges.

Her lawyer Jose Baez filed a discovery motion, which means he wants to see what evidence the state plans to use in their prosecution of Casey Anthony.

There's also been a timeline set up for a judge's decision on whether to grant an injunction against protests outside the Anthony home.

The attorney for the Chickasaw Oaks subdivision submitted the papers late last week. A representative for the ninth judicial circuit said a judge should rule on the association's request for a temporary injunction to limit protests.

A neighbor across the street from the Anthonys said he's glad to hear about the possible protester injunction. He said he also he felt the need to cordon off his yard and put up "no trespassing" signs.

"The problem is getting bigger and bigger," he said.

Attorney General Bill McCollum said he's not familiar with many cases of a homeowner's associations trying to limit protests. McCollum said it may come down to whether the judge feels the association owns the sidewalks and has a right to control them.

Debbie Sanders and her husband came to the Anthony home from New Jersey to drop off rosary beads and an angel with Caylee's name on it.

"I've followed this story every night," Sanders said. "I have children, so I feel she was part of the family."

For every show of support, there were plenty of critics. A man dropped a profanity-laced sign in the Anthony's yard and then sped off in his car.

Anyone with information for deputies about the Caylee Anthony case should call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony turned herself in at Orange County Jail Monday afternoon to be booked on new charges.

The news charges are unrelated to her missing 3-year-old daughter, Caylee, and are the latest in a series of fraudulent check charges Casey Anthony has faced in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, no decision will come Monday in the homeowners’ association complaint for an injunction over the Casey Anthony protests, a court official said.

Casey Anthony Turns Herself In To Face New Charges

POSTED: 1:13 pm EDT September 12, 2008
UPDATED: 2:33 pm EDT September 15, 2008

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Casey Anthony turned herself in to face more charges Monday afternoon, according to sources with the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The charges include petit theft, uttering a forged instrument and criminal use of personal information. She faces earlier charges of child endangerment and charges of lying to authorities in the case of the disappearance of her young daughter Caylee. Casey also faces check fraud charges in an unrelated case where she's accused of taking money out of a friend's checking account.

Casey was already meeting at the Orange County jail administration building with her case manager Monday afternoon and had worked out a plan to turn herself in on the new charges in order to avoid the hysteria that has accompanied many of her actions.

Today's updates

Casey Anthony behind bars again
2:15 p.m. Casey Anthony is back in custody after surrendering to authorities at the Orange County Jail. Officials have not released the new charges of the arrest. She is scheduled to go before a judge for her initial appearance Tuesday morning.

1:45 p.m. Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez arrived at the Orange County jail where his client is still meeting with her home confinement officer. Jail spokesman Allen Moore said Baez arrived because Anthony is facing new charges. Details on the charges have not been made public.

Judge won't rule today on injunction
11:43 a.m.
A judge will not rule today on a request to limit protesters' activities in George and Cindy Anthony's neighborhood. It's unclear when the judge will make a decision.

Karen Wonsetler, who is representing the 127 members of the Chickasaw Oaks Phase 3 homeowners association, filed the request for a temporary injunction with the Orange County Court on Friday.

Homeowners are asking that protesters gather only at a vacant lot, at the end of Hopespring and Suburban drives -- about 525 feet northwest of the Anthony's home and less than one-tenth mile from Hidden Oaks Elementary.

Since Casey Anthony's re-arrest on Aug. 29, mobs of protesters have gathered on the sidewalk or on the street in front of the Anthony's home to yell profanities and hold up inflammatory signs. The Orange County Sheriff's Office has received more than 20 calls of fights, verbal disputes, trespassing and general disturbances since Anthony returned home.

"There is enough evidence that this has become a circus and needs to be reeled in," Wonsetler said. "It's just ridiculous. Many homeowners feel captive in their own homes."

On Sunday, a protester engaged Cindy Anthony in a verbal argument while she hammered no trespassing signs in her front yard. During the argument, a boy's arm was pinned behind a car's door. The protesters returned to their vehicle with the injured child and left the neighborhood.

Deputies said no one filed charges in that incident.

Anthony has been on home confinement since Sept. 5. She faces charges of child neglect, giving false statements and passing bad checks. Her daughter, Caylee Marie, has been missing since June 15.

While the pending request from the homeowner association is for a temporary injunction, the goal is to make the changes permanent.

Casey Anthony to meet with home-confinement officer
9:45 a.m.
Casey Anthony will be allowed to leave her parents' home this afternoon at 12:30 p.m. to meet with a home-confinement officer at the Orange County Jail. She must be back at home by 4 p.m., according jail records.

The purpose of the visit is to establish the woman's schedule for the upcoming week and receive permission to leave her home. While on home confinement Anthony is only allowed to leave for a handful of reasons, including doctors visits, to attend church services and visit her attorney.

Marion County Sheriff investigators this morning continued searching a wooded area and the Ocklawaha River near Sharpes Ferry Bridge after human remains were discovered by a boater Sunday afternoon.

Jenifer Fisher, a Sheriff's spokeswoman, said an autopsy will be performed on the remains today to determine additional information including the approximate age and sex of the person.

The boater told sheriff officials he spotted the remains on the water's edge about 300 yards north of the bridge on County Road 314, Fisher said.

About a dozen deputies and two sheriff's dive teams, along with K-9 units, are searching the area.

Casey Back in Jail: DCF Investigates Confrontation

Last Edited: Monday, 15 Sep 2008, 7:19 PM EDT

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) --The mother of a missing toddler, who authorities have called a person of interest in the girl's disappearance, was arrested a third time Monday on new theft charges.

Also Monday the Department of Children and Family Services said they are investigating an incident between the grandmother of the missing toddler and a protestor over the weekend that resulted in a small boy being injured.

Orange County sheriff's deputies took Casey Anthony, 22, into custody as she visited the jail to meet with her case manager about other charges. Her daughter, 3-year-old Caylee, was reported missing in July, about a month after the girl was last seen.

Detectives have said lab tests show Caylee's decomposing body was in her mother's car, and Anthony is their only "person of interest" in the girl's disappearance.

However, Monday marked the third time she was handcuffed and booked on far less significant charges. In fact, the three additional counts recommended by sheriff's deputies were identical to several others for which Anthony had already posted bail.

According to the Orange County Jail inmate database, she is charged with uttering a forged check, fraudulent use of identification and petty theft of $100 or more. Bond amount for all charges totals $1,250.

Anthony's spokesman accused investigators of grandstanding with the arrest.

"It is like addicts going through withdrawal," spokesman Todd Black said in a statement. "When things start calming down a little, the authorities inject another media fix, instead of conducting themselves professionally and taking care of whatever charges they have at the same time."

The sheriff's office said it expected Anthony to remain jailed at least until a hearing scheduled Tuesday.

Prosecutors have formally charged Anthony with child neglect, making false statements to investigators and ten counts of theft, for allegedly buying goods with a friend's stolen checkbook. The Monday charges involved the same alleged theft from the same victim.

Marion County investigators confirm human remains belong to young adult
Martin E. Comas | Sentinel Staff Writer
5:40 PM EDT, September 15, 2008

Marion County Sheriff officials confirmed this afternoon that the human remains found along the banks of the Ocklawaha River near Sharpes Ferry Bridge on Sunday belonged to a young adult.

However, a preliminary autopsy could not determine whether the remains belonged to a man or a woman.

"But we can definitely say it's not a child," said Jenifer Fisher, a Sheriff's spokeswoman.

Sheriff investigators spent today combing a wooded area and the river bottom near the bridge searching for clues and more remains.

The dismembered human remains were discovered by a boater Sunday afternoon about 300 yards north of the bridge on County Road 314, according to reports.

Sheriff officials said further DNA tests will be needed to be able to identify the remains.

Detectives also were asking people crossing the bridge if they have seen anything suspicious or know of anyone missing from the area.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Mike Mongeluzzo at 352-732-9111 or Crime Stoppers at 352-368-7867.

Casey Anthony Released From Orange Co. Jail
DCF Sends Fair Warning To Anthony Protesters

POSTED: 1:49 am EDT September 16, 2008
UPDATED: 1:10 pm EDT September 16, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony is released from the Orange County Jail after posting bond for check fraud charges.

Anthony turned herself in on charges of petty theft, forgery and criminal use of personal identification on Monday. The charges are again connected to Anthony allegedly stealing from her friend.

The judge also ordered Anthony Tuesday to have no contact with the victim, Amy Huizenga.

Anthony first met with her home confinement manager Monday and shortly after her attorney, Jose Baez, arrived and she was arrested.

Orange County investigators said they are not using check fraud charges to put pressure on Anthony to tell them if she knows anything about her daughter Caylee's whereabouts.

"We're not the ones that are writing bad checks and falsifying ID. She did that," Carlos Padilla of the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

But Baez called the repeated charges "nothing more than police intimidation."

Meanwhile, the Homeowner's Association in the Anthony's East Orange County neighborhood will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

During the meeting, the group will discuss their quest to stop daily protests outside the Anthony home and move them to a vacant lot down the street.

DCF Sends Fair Warning To Anthony Protesters

A confrontation Monday caught the eye of viewers and Department of Children and Families officials after a boy got his arm squashed in the door while Cindy Anthony, grandmother of missing toddler Caylee Anthony, and a protester screamed at each other.

The incident actually prompted an investigation by DCF and it warned Monday protesters could find themselves under investigation.

DCF said it believes it's a parents' primary responsibility to keep their kids safe and with fistfights and foul language sometimes surfacing here DCF said it's really not a place for children.

There were harsh words between Cindy Anthony and a protester with her 9-year-old son at her side and even the child got in on the shouting match.

"Take your mom," Cindy Anthony said.

"Shut up," the 9-year-old said.

As the women continue the heated exchange, the boys arm got slammed in a car door. He rolled on the ground apparently in pain.

"My arm," the boy said.

People said they were shocked by what they saw and so reported the mom to DCF through the child abuse hotline.

"Concern has just grown and grown and grown and I think what we saw this weekend is the public said enough," Carrie Hoeppner of DCF said.

DCF launched an investigation and determined the child is OK.

"Now that we have the validation he doesn't have any injuries, we'll work with them," Hoeppner said.

The mother didn't want to go on camera, but the 9-year-old's father defended taking the child out to the Anthony's to protest.

"It was an accident, you know, my other son helped Tammy from going after her and he got caught in the door. He's fine. He over-reacted," the father said.

DCF said it was a troubling example of kids participating in the chaos and watching adults behave badly.

"People bring children up here fighting, screaming in front of them, letting babies hold signs about being a baby killer -- I feel that's wrong," neighbor Karen said.

"If something happens to that child they will be held responsible for their actions," Hoeppner said.

DCF said the bottom line is to decide if the kids benefit from being in the sometimes crazy protest environment, but it's up to the parents to answer.

Meanwhile, the grandmother of one child involved with the Anthony family has tried to file a restraining order.

Dakota, 12, of St. Cloud has organized a vigil and benefits to help find Caylee.

When DNA results came back indicating Caylee may be dead, Dakota was so distraught that she ended up in the hospital.

Her grandmother tried to get a restraining order against Cindy Anthony, claiming she kept e-mailing and texting Dakota without her permission.

A judge denied the request, citing that there is not enough evidence of a threat.

Casey Anthony Released From Jail After Third Arrest

POSTED: 6:00 am EDT September 16, 2008
UPDATED: 1:28 pm EDT September 16, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony was released from jail for a third time early Tuesday afternoon after posting bond on new charges that she turned herself in on Monday.

Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez walked into the Orange County jail before 8:30am Tuesday for bond hearing. The court appearance was for the new charges Casey faces, forging checks, fraud and petty theft.

"A $1,000 on count one, $150 count two, $100 count three and no contact with the victim Amy Huizenga. You understand that Ms. Anthony?" Judge John Jordan asked Casey during the hearing.

"Yes," Casey replied.

The charges were brought on by Casey's former best friend, Amy Huizenga.

Casey and her attorney were only in court for about five minutes. Baez said re-arresting Casey and grandstanding are scare tactics.

"I'm not intimidated, not in any way shape or form," Baez said Tuesday morning.

Last week, Casey spent several hours a day in her attorney's office while on home confinement. Many speculated why the mother of missing Caylee was spending so much time there.

"If you had the power of the state of Florida, what they're doing to her, you can all understand whey she is spending so much time in my office," Baez explained.

Baez told Eyewitness News he's preparing his client.

Casey walked out of the Orange County jail around 1:05pm, surrounded by bodyguards and accompanied by Baez. She was quickly walked into a waiting red truck without answering any questions.

Jail officials said Casey will be able to visit with her attorney Wednesday through Friday this week from 10:00am until 4:00pm. On Monday, she'll have a meeting with her home confinement manager.

Today's Updates:

Casey Anthony out of jail again
1:18 p.m. Casey Anthony walked out of the jail with her attorney, Jose Baez, and is headed back to her parent's home on Hopespring Drive. Two bodyguards accompanied Anthony as she left the Orange County Jail, equipped with her home confinement ankle monitor.

Anthony walked with her head up said nothing to reporters who shouted questions at her. Baez, the bodyguards and Anthony stepped into a red pick-up truck and left the jail. Media helicopters followed the vehicle.

Casey about to bond out
11:15 a.m. Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez spoke with the media outside the jail after his client's first appearance. He blasted the sheriff's office for stringing out all the check fraud charges over several weeks. He said investigators arrest her on economic crimes when news about the case quiets down.

"We all know they knew of these charges," he said. "And I think we are seeing the games that are being played. The news for you guys is I'm not intimidated - not in any way, shape or form."

He criticized the way law enforcement officials have leaked information, such as air samples that show a decomposing body was in Anthony's car trunk along with traces of chloroform. He has not had a chance to examine these findings.

"You just can't believe every leak you hear," he said. "It's not evidence until it comes in court."

Baez said he has prepared his client and she will not give in to the "intimidating tactics."

"Unless they are going to take her out back and beat her behind my back, we are not going to get intimidated," he said.

10:29 a.m.

Casey Anthony has posted her bond and jail officials are in the process of releasing her. She will likely leave the jail around mid-afternoon. Orange County Judge John Jordan added a new condition to her release: She is not allowed to have contact with the check fraud victim, Amy Huizenga, who was once a friend of Anthony.

Casey Anthony appears in court
9:09 a.m.

A jail jumpsuit clad Casey Anthony appeared before a judge this morning at the Orange County Jail with her attorney, Jose Baez.

The judge set her bond at $1,250 for the new charges of uttering a forged check, fraudulent use of personal identification and petty theft of $100 or more.

Anthony was jailed yesterday on more check-fraud charges stemming from allegations that she stole money from former friend Amy Huizenga.

Casey Anthony Walks Out Of Jail
Tuesday, September 16, 2008 3:17:43 PM

ORLANDO -- For the third time, Casey Anthony has bonded out of jail. An unnamed good Samaritan posted the $1,250 bond a judge set this morning for Anthony's release on three economic charges.

Anthony was refitted with an ankle monitoring bracelet and given release instructions before she walked out of the Orange County Jail with her lawyer, Jose Baez.

The bail was broken down as $1,000 for uttering a forged check, $150 for fraud and $100 for petit theft.

The new charges stem from checks Casey allegedly stole from a friend, Amy Huizenga, in July.

Anthony is confined to her parents' home. She is only allowed to leave Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to visit her attorney. She will not be allowed to leave at all on Saturdays and Sundays.

Outside the jail Tuesday morning, Baez claimed Anthony is being treated unfairly. He believes that law enforcement is bullying her and her family.

"Why is it that people can go out into the front of someone's home and commit acts of violence and not be arrested? I guarantee you, if any one of you went in front of the sheriff's house with any signs and started yelling things, you'd be arrested very quickly," Baez said.

Casey Anthony's latest arrest raised questions as to why she keeps being jailed on the same incident, but the Orange County Sheriff's Office explained the same incident can have different charges.

"You say, 'Same incident.' Basically what you have is the same victim, but each case, every time she did, that's a separate incident," said Carlos Padilla, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office. "She goes from one store to another store, so those are separate incidents stemming from the one theft. That is correct, but you know, you have to talk to witnesses, get sworn affidavits."

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- In a media briefing Tuesday morning after Casey Anthony's first appearance on new check fraud and theft charges, defense attorney Jose Baez questioned how police were handling their investigation into missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony.

Baez said members of the Orange County Sheriff's Office were making attempts to intimidate him and his client, Casey and said that games were being played in reference to her third arrest.

"I am not intimidated in any way, shape or form. If the state of Florida wants to play these games and waste your tax dollars and your resources, that's for everyone to stand up for and complain about," Baez said.

He was pleased with the sheriff's office agreement to allow him to turn Casey into police custody instead of them arresting her at her home, causing unnecessary attention.

Baez cited Casey's home confinement terms and said that police and the public know where she is and there is no need to draw anyone else toward the home off Hopespring Drive.

"She's not going anywhere. She's on house arrest for crying out loud," he said.

He said in the hours he has spent with Casey in the past weeks, he has prepared her to be tough and to be ready to face whatever information investigators have.

"Casey has been prepared for the worst," Baez said. "She won't cave in."

Baez questioned the media about "evidence leaked" on chloroform and DNA results from the 'Body Farm.' He does not believe law enforcement has found anything substantial to convict Casey of anything other than check fraud and theft charges and says if they did have that evidence, they would have convicted her of it already.

He said he personally called the 'Body Farm' in Tennessee who said their test results are not yet completed on air samples taken from Casey's trunk.

Baez says he has requested that he be given information on evidence they do have so his own investigators can look at it. Baez does not believe police have any evidence of missing 3-year-old Caylee being either dead or alive, or what would have turned it over to him.

On the subject of officers making multiple arrests and the possibility of future arrests, Baez said police knew about the charges and had the information to charge Casey in July.

"They could have easily saved the taxpayers thousands of dollars by just filing it with the formal charges," he said. "Officers are being wasted and could be on the street where they are needed."

At the conclusion of Baez's media briefing, he said he would have Casey out of jail within 24 hours.

Bracelets On eBay Creating Controversy
Bracelets sold on eBay with the words "HelpFindCaylee.com" on them have some people really upset.

The bracelets cost $10, and some are questioning if the money made on them is really helping in the search for the missing toddler.

Lee Anthony, Caylee's uncle, confirmed to News 13 that the money from the bracelets is indeed used to help find Caylee.

The man behind the fundraiser said eBay took down his original ad explaining that the money made would be used for a charity.

Detectives Leave Fla. In Caylee Search;
Officers Called To Home 42 Times
Woman's Daughter Last Seen In Mid-June

POSTED: 7:23 am EDT September 16, 2008
UPDATED: 7:37 am EDT September 16, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Detectives are leaving Florida Tuesday to search for missing Caylee Anthony as the child's mother remains jailed.

An Orange County Sheriff's Department official confirmed to Local 6 that investigators will be talking with possible witnesses outside the state for clues into the whereabouts of the child.

The move comes after the 3-year-old's mother, Casey, was arrested, for a third time.

Orange County sheriff's deputies took Anthony, 22, into custody Monday as she visited the jail to meet with her case manager about other charges.

Detectives have said lab tests show Caylee's decomposing body was in her mother's car, and Anthony is their only "person of interest" in the girl's disappearance.

42 Police Calls Since July 15

The Orange County Sheriff's Office call log shows officers have been called to the Anthony home 42 times since July 15.

Deputies said 38 of the calls have been for disturbances, including a scene over the weekend when a mother brought her young children to the Anthony home late night.

During the incident, a 9-year-old's arm was slammed in a car door.

The Department of Children and Families is investigating the child's injury and why he was at the Anthony home at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Neighbors said aggressive protesters are becoming a safety hazard.

The home owner's association filed an injunction to try to keep the protesters away from the neighborhood.

A judge could rule this week.

About 100 families are expected to meet Tuesday night at a HOA meeting to discuss what options they have concerning the protesters.

Expert: Casey Managed Emotions Well

A series of responses given by Anthony during police interviews are not consistent with a desperate mother who wants to find her daughter, a psychologist told Local 6.

"Most people who are interviewed by police officers don't manage their emotions that well," Dr. Deborah Day said of Casey Anthony during questioning over her daughter. "They get upset, they get agitated and they get angry."

Audio recordings of interviews conducted by investigators with Anthony were released Friday by the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Day listened to the interviews and said she believes Anthony's tone and responses are detached.

"It is inconsistent," Day said. "That's a detachment. She is able to push her emotions aside during these interviews. I think she knows something. I don't know if she knows where her daughter is but she knows something."

In the taped interviews on July 16, detectives caught Anthony in a string of lies.

Day said Anthony managed the stress of questioning disturbingly well.

"What happened to Caylee," an investigator asks on the tape.

"I don't know," Casey Anthony said.

"Sure you do," and investigator said.

"I don't know," Anthony said.

"Listen, something happened to Caylee," an investigator said. "We're not going to discuss where the last time you saw her (was). I'm guessing something bad happened to her some time ago and you haven't seen her, so that part is true -- is you haven't seen her because she's somewhere else right now."

"She's with someone else right now," Anthony said.

"She's either in a Dumpster right now, she's buried somewhere, she's out there somewhere and her rotten body is starting to decompose because what you're tellING us...," an investigator said. "Here's the problem. The longer this goes, the worse it's going to be for everyone. Right now, everything you've told us -- we've locked you into a lie. Every single thing that you've told us has been a lie."

Day said the only time she heard Anthony get emotional on released tapes is when she talks about her relationship with her mother, Cindy. and not her daughter, Caylee, Local 6's Jessica D'Onofrio reported.

A detective was pressing Anthony about how she wasn't living up to her mother's expectations.

Anthony has admitted to lying to several times during the police recordings but never gives any reasons why she is lying, D'Onofrio reported.

CASEY'S FORMER FRIENDS TAKE LIE DETECTOR TESTS

Detectives still can't shake the truth from Caylee's mom Casey, but her ex-fiancé, ex-lover and ex-best friend have talked and investigators want to make sure it's legitimate.

Sources told Eyewitness News exclusively that Casey's ex-fiancé Jesse Grund, ex-lover Ricardo Morales and ex-best friend Amy Huizenga all went through lie detector tests. Sources said they were conducted not because they were accused of anything, but to make sure detectives could confirm all the details of their stories.

Huizenga is the same friend from whom Casey's accused of stealing checks from.

COURT CASE BACKLOG DUE TO ANTHONY CASE

The Casey Anthony case is now clogging the local court system and when Eyewitness News asked how much the case is costing taxpayers, the sheriff's office told said it has no idea. They couldn't say how many deputies they have devoted to the case or how much money it's costing in overtime.

Regardless, it is causing major delays in Orange County's legal system. Attorneys in Central Florida say some of their cases that are supposed to be tried at the courthouse will be delayed for at least a couple of months.

The sheriff's office is devoting a lot of resources to the Casey Anthony case and now it's affecting other cases that need to move forward. For the past 62 days, Orange County investigators have spent countless hours collecting evidence, searching for Caylee Anthony and following up on leads relating to the missing toddler.

The sheriffs office says detectives are even being pulled from other units to help follow up on calls to Crimeline. In fact, deputies have responded 42 times to the Anthony home since July 15.

Matthew Milligan says his case is on hold because detectives couldn't show up to a deposition because of the Anthony case.

"Right now, Casey Anthony is tying up most of the sheriff's office and there are a number of cases kind of being pushed to the side," plaintiff Matthew Milligan said.

Attorney Thomas Luka said it's not unusual for a high-profile case to take precedence. He has a second case that is also being delayed, because crime scene technicians have been unable to provide the DNA evidenced he requested.

"Orange County technicians responsible for that are obviously being allocated to the Casey Anthony matter at this point and don't have time to deal with the courtroom or discovery," Luka said.

The sheriff's office would not comment on the backlog of cases and would not say how many cases were affected by the Casey Anthony investigation.

The State Attorney's Office said deputies and crime scene technicians will ask for a continuance in any case that's delayed, but won't comment specifically on how many delays are being caused by the Anthony case.

The sheriff's office is also working with other agencies on the case, such as the FBI and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Woman Accused Of Kidnapping Caylee Speaks Out
Zenaida Gonzales Explains How The Accusation Affected Her Life

POSTED: 12:53 pm EDT September 16, 2008
UPDATED: 7:32 pm EDT September 16, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Homeless and without a job, Zenaida Gonzalez sat in her hotel room and took comfort in the arms of her youngest daughter.

Gonzalez has chosen not to show her face on camera.

She has been sucked into the vortex of one of the most highly-charged, controversial, missing child's case the nation has ever seen, and for Zenaida, it all started with her name.

On July 15 Orange County sheriff's deputies first learned that Caylee Anthony, then 2, was missing, and had been missing for 31 days.

Mother Casey Anthony, 22, claimed her daughter had been kidnapped by the babysitter. She said she dropped the toddler off with the babysitter on her way to work at the Sawgrass apartments in East Orange County.

According to the story Anthony told investigators, she returned to pick Caylee up, but both had vanished.

Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez was the name Anthony gave investigators during her interrogation.

"When she said Zenaida Gonzalez it turned my life around. It turned into a point where I wished I wasn’t Zenaida Gonzalez. I wish my name was something else because it made my life that impossible," Gonzalez said.

She said she never knew Anthony in anyway.

It’s still a mystery if Caylee ever had a babysitter by that name. Anthony’s friends never saw her, and her family never met her.

Investigators searched for the babysitter and never found her, but they did find a woman with the same name.

"I never thought my life would be like this. Never in a million years," Gonzalez said.

Although Zenaida Gonzalez never lived at the Sawgrass apartments, she did look at the complex while apartment hunting.

The June 17 record of Gonzalez’s visit is on file at the apartment office.

Law enforcement called her in for questioning.

Gonzalez said she almost died when she heard she had been accused of kidnapping.

"I was in shock," Gonzalez said.

She had to convince investigators that they had the wrong Zenaida, that she did not know Casey Anthony or Caylee.

A turning point came when detectives showed Anthony a picture of Gonzalez and she did not recognize the woman she claimed cared for her child.

For Gonzalez, the damage was done. She said she lost her job managing a cleaning crew. Her boss told her they couldn't let one name bring a company down.

Gonzalez said she is afraid for her family's safety. She gets hate mail daily for Zanny the nanny -- that's why she asked not to show her face on camera.

"She doesn’t know how much damage she has done. Not only to me, that she has done to them, my children. They came out of me. I raised them by myself and now she is hurting them more than me," Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez is not sure how this will end -- or if it ever will.

“Look at the damage she’s done. No one in their right mind would do that,” Gonzalez said.

"Dr. Phil" on Wednesday will tape a show about the Caylee Anthony case. No air date, however, has been set.

Taking part in Los Angeles will be a neighbor of the Anthony family; Mark NeJame, who is attorney to grandparents Cindy and George Anthony; and reporter Jessica D'Onofrio of WKMG-Channel 6. WKMG airs "Dr. Phil" at 7 weeknights.

The program also will look at protesters and supporters of the Anthony family.

Casey Anthony, Caylee's tight-lipped mother, was released from jail for the third time Tuesday.

The Anthony case will be part of a show that Dr. Phil McGraw's team calls "Behind the Headlines."

Casey Anthony May Have Made Up Names Of Nanny, Friends

POSTED: 4:45 pm EDT September 17, 2008
UPDATED: 5:09 pm EDT September 17, 2008

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- There appear to be more lies and more deception in the Caylee Anthony case and only Channel 9 Eyewitness News is blowing the lid off the nanny mystery.

Eyewitness News has learned Casey Anthony might have made up the name of Caylee's so-called nanny, Zenaida Gonzalez, from former classmates' names and the street name for a drug. Investigators are now looking into it because of Eyewitness News' questions.

Casey Anthony said she used to call Zenaida Gonzalez "Zanny," which Eyewitness News found out is also the street name for the anti-anxiety drug Xanax. Eyewitness News has also learned that investigators have asked at least one of her friends questions about Casey and Xanax during a lie detector test.

Eyewitness News has learned that Casey Anthony had apparently asked her ex-fiancé Jesse Grund about Xanax while they were instant-messaging during the time they were engaged. Grund was asked the questions when he was hooked up to a polygraph by the FBI.

Xanax goes by the name "Zanny" on the street, which has some wondering if "Zanny the nanny" was a reference to the drug and not the nickname Casey says she used for the mysterious nanny, Zenaida Gonzalez.

Eyewitness News has discovered that a girl named Zenaida was in Casey's homeroom at Colonial High School before Casey dropped out. She had a different last name, not Gonzalez, but there were seven students in her class whose last name is Gonzalez.

The names Casey has made up as her friends who introduced her to Zenaida also show up in her Colonial High School classmates roster. She named a Raquel Ferrell, who investigators say does not exist, but there was a Raquel Rosa in her class. Casey also named Jennifer Rosa as a friend whom investigators can't find. She had a classmate named James Ferrell and the name Jennifer shows up close by.

Investigators are now checking into it to find out whether it's more than just a series of coincidences.

George Anthony Tells Reporters "I Feel Sorry For All Of You"

POSTED: 3:39 pm EDT September 17, 2008

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- George Anthony lashed out at reporters Wednesday, one day after his daughter, Casey Anthony, was released from jail on home confinement for the third time. George and Cindy Anthony could get some relief from protesters in their neighborhood as early as next week.

For the first time in several days, George Anthony spoke out. He seemed to have pent up anger against both protesters and the media.

"You are destroying my family, all of you. I wish you would get the hell out of here," he said. "I feel sorry for all of you. Some day you're going to have a judgment day, all of you."

Protesters have started to show up again now that Casey is home.

"We're just trying to get some questions answered," WFTV reporter Mark Boyle told George Anthony.

"No, what you are trying to do is incite me, trying to get me negative, you guys aren't even looking for my granddaughter," he said.

George isn't the only one wanting protesters to clear out. An injunction to put a stop to the protesting was denied and the HOA attorney filed a request for a re-hearing Wednesday.

"What do you think about the judge saying no to the injunction?" Boyle asked George.

"I'm done to talking to you, I'm done talk to you," he said as he got into his vehicle.

Legal experts said there's plenty; constitutional rights are not uniform. A judge can impose restrictions on the time, place and manner of the protests.

That means a judge could force a curfew, they could move the protesters out of the neighborhood or they could enact a noise limit.

The only thing a judge cannot do in the case is stop the protesters from delivering their messages.

Caylee Look-Alike Leads Deputies To Swarm Volusia County Home
POSTED: 5:25 pm EDT September 18, 2008
UPDATED: 6:12 pm EDT September 18, 2008

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Caylee Anthony doesn't have a twin, but a second little girl named Kaylee looks a lot like her and investigators thought so, too. They secretly swarmed a family home in Volusia County about an hour's drive from where the Anthonys live.

Deputies said they were checking out an anonymous tip and they said the only way to get to the bottom of it was to go to the house in question. It turns out they found Kaylee, but not the one everyone is looking for.

It was the striking similarity between missing Caylee and this Kaylee that brought deputies to the home of Wayne and Kim Tupper in the middle of the night.

"They all filed in. There was about five deputies and then they asked if they could see my daughter," Wayne Tupper told Eyewitness News.

http://i35.tinypic.com/351wx7t.jpg
Kaylee (left) and Missing Caylee

That's when they got the real surprise.

"So, I'm waking her up, 'Kay-kay, wake up.' And then the last thing I said was 'Kaylee,'" Wayne said.

The Tuppers needed family photos and a birth certificate to prove she isn't the little girl who's been missing for so long.

"We don't know if somebody saw us at a store, if they were driving by," Kim said. "Could you imagine if I was at a store one day and somebody thought it was her and they didn't let me leave?"

But the Tuppers said they're most frustrated by the Anthonys' accusations that authorities aren't looking for Caylee. She says their experience proves otherwise.

"If it was our daughter, I would expect them to do the same, but they are doing their jobs," Kim said.

Even in his report, a deputy wrote that the girl looked a lot like the missing child. Of course, there are some differences. The Volusia County Kaylee is a little older and spells her name with a "K."

WINTER PARK, Fla. -- The Orange County Sheriff's Office said that the commander of the missing person's unit and an FBI agent are in Sacramento, Calif., to meet Thursday night with bounty hunter Leonard Padilla as part of their ongoing investigation into the search for Caylee Anthony.

Padilla told WESH 2 news that Casey Anthony, Caylee’s mother, gave him a very different version of what happened to Caylee, and believes investigators are talking with him to firm up their case against her.

The bounty hunter said Anthony told him that baby sitter Zenaida Gonzalez took Caylee from her at Blanchard Park in East Orange County and gave her a script of what to say to detectives.

But Anthony told investigators she left the child with Gonzalez at Sawgrass apartments.

Padilla said he predicts major charges against Anthony are likely on the way.

“She's lying. It's not a secret she lies all the time but this specifically is two separate stories, two different times about the same supposed incident. It's probably neither one is the truth,” he said. “It's gone on long enough. She doesn't want to cooperate. Her attorney doesn't want to cooperate, therefore it's time to go for the big one. You don't need a body for murder charges, they've got enough circumstantial, forensic evidence, they can convict her easily.”

Protester pulls out Taser

Walter Pacheco | Willoughby Mariano and Sarah Lundy, Sentinel Staff Writers
10:50 AM EDT, September 19, 2008

A protester parked near the Anthony home pulled out a Taser late Thursday after feeling threatened by homeowners, deputies said.

A group of residents approached the man's car and told him to leave the neighborhood, he told deputies. The Guardian Angels, who were stationed outside of the home, saw the confrontation and got involved, said spokesman Jim Solomons.

One of the members of the volunteer safety patrol jumped on the man's car as he was trying to leave, Solmons said. The volunteer was not seriously injured.

However, the homeowners and Guardian Angels gave deputies a different version of events. They told deputies that the man in the car pulled out the Taser and threatened them and then tried to drive away. The Guardian Angels said they were trying to keep the man from leaving and stood in front of his car. The man used his car to bump one of them, Solomons said.

Deputies are investigating the incident.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The state attorney's office formalized the three most-recent economic charges against Casey Anthony, mother of missing toddler Caylee Anthony, on Friday.

The charges stem from allegations that Anthony stole her friend's checks and made several hundred dollars worth of purchases.

Anthony is not expected to be rearrested on these charges because she already turned herself in on the charges on Monday and bonded out of jail on Tuesday.

Excerpt: Caylee's grandfather is trying to balance his love/hate relationship with the media. On Thursday, he was showing gratitude to the media for not only featuring Caylee every day for two months, but are also documenting the growing violence of Caylee protesters.

In recent weeks, he has lost his cool at suggestions that Caylee might be dead.

"I'm done. The only thing I'm going to react to is someone comes to damage my house or to hurt my family, I'm going to do everything I can, everything in my power, to take care of it," Anthony said.

Anthony said he will never give up hope that Caylee is alive, and believes anybody would be the same way if they were in his place.

"My granddaughter has changed since June 16. That's the last time I've seen her. I know that. I'm sure she’s grown taller. I’m sure she’s become more beautiful,” Anthony said.

Something about 3-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony has struck a nerve.

Thousands of Web sleuths, bloggers and concerned citizens captivated by the missing Orange County child are lighting up the Internet with their thoughts, theories and suggestions on the continuing investigation. Across the world, millions of words rehash the case on countless sites each day.

Was the toddler sold? Did her mother kill her? Was there a tragic accident? Or did a mysterious baby sitter run off with her?

The lack of answers only encourages armchair detectives to try to solve the case. They quiz each other about DNA and other evidence, debate motives and morals of the main characters and wonder why justice seems to move so slowly. Most have never met Caylee or her family.

Behind the Headlines - Dr. Phil
Three-year-old Caylee Anthony made headlines when her grandmother, Cindy, placed a frantic 911 call to report her missing. By the time she called the police, her granddaughter had been missing for one month. Where was Caylee’s mother, Casey, all that time? Now considered a person of interest by authorities, is Casey a pathological liar with something to hide, an irresponsible 22-year-old or is something else going on? Then, Casey claims she was out searching for her daughter on her own, but pictures of her partying at a local club surfaced shortly after Caylee vanished. Were those photos taken before Caylee's birth as Casey's father claims? Lisa Bloom, renowned legal analyst and host of TruTv’s In Session, explains what a jury might think. Next, meet two local residents and find out why one believes Casey is innocent, while the other is convinced of her guilt Then, bounty hunters Leonard Padilla and Rob Dick say they helped bail Casey out of jail after she agreed to help them find her daughter. Rob says he drove Casey around in search of Caylee for nine days, and what he claims he observed might surprise you. Plus, why is Caylee’s story splashed across newspapers and TV screens, while other missing children go virtually ignored? Is the seeming disparity in coverage because she’s white or attractive, and the other children are different races? Ernie Allen, president and founder of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, says racism isn’t the reason some missing children make headlines while others do not. But April Morris has been searching for her grandson, Benjamin Everett, since he disappeared in 2004 and says he didn’t receive any media attention because he’s biracial.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- The State Attorney's Office has released nearly 600 of pages of documents in the case against Casey Anthony, the mother of missing 3-year-old Caylee Marie.

The documents, including interviews with family members and other investigative material, are released as part of discovery, which is procedure where the state releases information to defense.

According to the newly-released documents, Lee Anthony said Casey's mother was immediately worried about Caylee's wellbeing because of the smell from the car Casey had abandoned that "went over [their] garage like a wave." Lee also said Casey said her mom constantly reminded her of what an unfit mother she is.

Lee told investigators that his mother, Cindy, had said that Caylee was the best thing that happened and actually the worst thing was that Caylee was actually Casey's mistake.

Investigators interviewed Casey's boyfriend, Tony Lazarro, who said sometime after July 5, at least a couple weeks after Caylee disappeared, Casey would wake up sweating and tell him she was having nightmares, but she told him the nightmares were about their relationship. .....
