Has anyone (else) been receiving the "Bad Request" message?

I have been receiving this message when I try to open the link to the CL message board (but no where else) for about two weeks (at first intermittently and then always) using Mozilla, IE, and even a proxy. I had to download Opera to get in.

Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand

loretta .. I quite often get the "Bad Request" message. I find that by clearing my DNS cache I am usually able to solve the problem.

Get to your command prompt:

Click on Start —> then Run then type in command then click on OK.

To clear your cache, type in the following:

ipconfig /flushdns

Then click Enter

Just so you both now it did take me 3 times to get to CL. I kept getting ask.com. do not know why but I will check my files Odette. IMO

yw 02 .. may work, may not .. If clearing cookies, cache etc. doesn't work do this .. worth a try. I always do it when I'm having trouble getting websites to open.

Thanks Odette! I have another string of commands to use, but haven't backed up my registry yet. Meanwhile, I'm on this Gateway dinosaur!

If anyone knows who to notify, they might alert CL that they have server issues.

Is she having the problem on other sites? Or just this one? If it's more sites besides this one it might be problems with her isp.

Tell her to check her browser security settings, maybe she has them too high. (I can't access a lot of sites if mine is set higher than medium.)

There is just so many things that could cause it and it gets frustrating sometimes.

Yes, I've done all the things y'all suggest. No, it's just this site. Geeks say the problem is with CL's server. It doesn't understand my computer's request because of an HTML disparity. Or some such. Thanks for all the suggestions and encouragement!

Yes there was actual porn posted here - it wasn't a link. Approximately 50-60 posts made throughout the forum. It was pretty gross.
