Hey all  Cant reach wave guy but beer guys will do its friday night!!!
I just wanna clarify so if anyone misunderstood Runaway Devil is not by Ann Rule-she is a great read Loretta and tons of books out. This one is based on a Canadian case a few years back. Gives a bit of Canadian law and examines the nature/nurture aspect from the brief bit i have read. It appears an easy read and a page turner from reviews. It is by Robert remington and Sherri Zickefoose. Yes Drew i am so thrilled we are reading it together. For sure we can discuss it. I plan to be out in the blazing heat and humidity tomorrow and read it all. Let me know what ya think  Nawny and any of us here i think will find this book and interesting read. Let me know gals and deacon if any of ya's are so inclined. Nawners i luv your pic-you have been cute all your life :rose:

WOo hoo! Thanks girls. I'll get me a copy too! Going to Amazon right now. I need a good book. DrewB Ann Rule is a very good writer. I love her style. Simple plain darn English! That's a good writer to me. I hate those authors who write like they have a long winded wish. My eyes wander off the page once, and I close the book. I'm a bad one that way. Anne Rule keeps you riveted. All her books are true stories too.. Loretta, you will like her.
Hmm is it not a coincidence that we are fascinated by criminal minds? Is that a disorder? Like addiction to shoes? :punch:
Speaking of shoes, I have to go take my shoes off, shower and get into my cotton jammys. Iwas galavanting all day.. I'll be back later.
Did someone say shoes?:D:biggrin:;):hat:

I looked up Runaway Devil and saw a few sites on the story. It's too new to read the reviews but I did see an actual My Page communication with the authors. Seems this book is very hot and reached high ratings within weeks.. I'm getting that the family of this girl was middle class and well respected in a nice neighborhood and that she got herself involved with the Goth movement. According to the teaser she fell in love with a 23 year old guy her parents found unsuitable for her and she was pushing back. Nice huh?
Looks like parents can't use the "NO" word anymore.
Sound familiar Grinch?

Hi all. :seeya: Been away for a few days - passed with flying colors (studying paid off) so am happy. :) I've just caught up with the postings going on and will not be able to post nor follow for quite a few days - company coming to stay. Meaning; meals, people overnight, going places during the days with them, etc...BUT, what really struck me was the re-baptism of G&C and it seems like another publicity stunt to try to make them look better in the eyes of the world. IMO  And the 'Terminal Event' wording. Sheesh. A murder is a murder ~ no ifs, Ants, or buts. It is what it is - period, the end. Thanks to all for explanations, definitions, links, comments and opinions. Keep up the good work - I'll check in and read up as I am able. Hope there will be a link for Friday's hearing. TIA to all for everything! :rose:
Congrats on your success Wags! Working with the elderly is so rewarding and so interesting. Seeing our own future in their eyes, I always treat them kindly, as I want others to treat me when I am very old. I love to listen to their stories and as they speak, I imagine what I will say about my own life, should I live to need permanant care.
There is one thing that is certain, we all get old and sooner or later we will need someone to help us get from a bed to a chair. God bless you for choosing that profession, it is a very, very important one. Your wings might feel cramped sometimes when you observe some who are not there for the right reasons, but carry on and stay hopeful that your work might "stop one bird from falling" Just one is enough to say you made the world a better place.
You go girl!

Ooof! It was a long day. We got back around 5pm and I ran to the shower because I was so filthy! Everything went well, the place looks like a brand new penny. The movers were a funny bunch of guys. A couple of them looked like ax murderers but they were not. (I think)
That building is where poppa started over 30 years ago and it was good to see him set up there again. He sold the agency 5 Years ago and rented the building, so it's been a while since I sat at his desk there.
He thought he'd retire early,, not not not.. he hated being out of that loop in the hood so I talked him into going back into the brokerage business, but his building wasn't available so he rented one on the next street and drove the guy who bought him out, right out of business. (The jerk went on the drugs so bad, it was a walk in the park to drive him out. Although Poppa is a genius with insurance, always was. Now he's back home in his old crib and the big sign outside says HE'S BACK and has his name under that.. it is also written in Spanish because his clientele is 80% Spanish. They love poppa!
ANyway When I got showered and decompressed, I sliced an eggplant, made Eggplant Parm and the drug of choice.. gnocchi with pink sauce again. It's my passion.. ;) I think poppa is very tired. He's in his red chair with his feet up looking like a sleepy child. It was a fun day! I hope you all had a good day too!

Hey Beemers & Nawners!! Since you mentioned Ann Rule, I thought I'd weigh in. I've been a big fan of hers for years and have read every book she's written. She's got a no-nonsense way of telling the facts and truth. I guess I like her style and she's a "fellow-Seattleite", having been a detective on the force for many years. Luv her books.
DrewB
Another Ann Rule fan here!!!! Unfortunately, she doesn't write as fast as I read!! I always want another right away. I would love to read books by her in some of the high profile cases, but hers are of little known cases--little known until she has written about them, of course!!! I have seen some of the cases she has written about on forensic files and the like, but probably filmed after her books came out.

3. Multiple trained cadaver dogs from different sources hit on the trunk.
4. Hair from deceased Anthony family member (mitochondrial DNA) found in trunk.
5. GA and CA statements regarding the smell, including GA I believe under oath.
6. Air sample tests from Body Farm indicating 2.6 days-ish human decompositional event.
7. Evidence of clean up in the car; coverup -- if trying to "frame" KC, why clean up?
8. Papertowels in trunk contained decomp from Caylee.
And then someone else posted:
BBM-
Number 8 is incorrect. The report says that something like adipocere was found on the paper towels, not that it was definately adipocere (aka gravewax).
There is nothing defintive that proves caylees decomp was on the paper towels, its just a conclusion that we all jumped to when we read the word adipocere and discovered it was associated with decomp.
It could have been any number of things on the paper towel, from soap, to make up etc.
(I'm going to add this in the myths thread).
PS: Its possible that it is caylees decomp, and is actually adipocere, but until they prove it, rather than saying it was 'like' adipocere, it should be taken with a grain of salt.

I've lurked a board that has had a lot of excitement about "grave wax" being found on the paper towels in the trunk. iirc, the report said something "like" adipocere was found on paper towels in the trunk, but I've never seen confirmation that it was adipocere. Anyone?
If it can be proven that there was human grave wax in the trunk, sure seems like a slamdunk, but can the source be proven?
As for the small amount of adipocere on Caylee's bones, she was small and it doesn't last forever, certainly in the elements. imo.

Probably a reference to the presence of insect activity in Caylee's case.
Grave wax, or adipocere, is a crumbly white, waxy substance that accumulates on those parts of the body that contain fat - the cheeks, breasts, abdomen and buttocks. It is the product of a chemical reaction in which fats react with water and hydrogen in the presence of bacterial enzymes, breaking down into fatty acids and soaps. Adipocere is resistant to bacteria and can protect a corpse, slowing further decomposition. Adipocere starts to form within a month after death and has been recorded on bodies that have been exhumed after 100 years. If a body is readily accessible to insects, adipocere is unlikely to form.

Guilty! Well, maybe not guilty of accepting stuff as fact, but believing that the scenario could very well be true. I've seen some criticism of the "link please" types on other boards, but who wants to be chagrined by posting rumor as fact? One of the great things about CL is that people do share news links and even though the blogs are (I guess) generally accepted as op eds, they do provide a springboard for thought, free expression and comments.

Don't get me wrong. I've made some blunders. Boy have I. But there's a big difference in having a theory (and sticking to it) and insisting that rumor is fact. Personally I'd rather be considered a bit of a nutcase than be considered a liar. And there are a couple of boards where you can't even post a theory without being censored or banned; so glad that's not the case here. I truly think that what goes on in the cases I'm familiar with here at CL is pretty darned close to what goes on in the jury room.

Wouldn't you love to be the Prosecutor in the courtroom though? I've said this before, but I'd start and end with the mantra: 31 days ladies and gentlemen...31 days. And if I were a juror, hmmmm.. I'd hear nothing else.

I hope it is Nawny. I hope the pro's keep it on task and moving along. They dont need to get the jury all bogged down in science that gets them confused. They can save alot of the junk science details:rolleyes:for when the defense attacks it. Make them look like asshats. There is so much basic stuff that will hang her. Starting with the 31 days. Proof of no Zanny, text messages,no dead squirrel, trunk odour,Pics of how she behaved, video from jail visits, forensic's from the remains showing plant growth proving Caylee was there and only there. I think the prosecution's side will be short. The defense will have a lot more work to do, with their "debunking" and all...I can't guess overall how long it will be. Based on the delays so far, I think a certain someone will drag it out as long as possible since he's a ham imo.

I guess that goes to show you that you can't rely entirely on the content of IM's to analyze a case. Such as, Casey didn't need to worry about Caylee's father not supporting or helping support Caylee. Nope, Caylee's (and many of Casey's) expenses seemed to be covered quite nicely by Cindy Anthony, probably with the help of George, when he was working. I would wager the only thing Casey had to worry about was if Cindy and/or George might have encouraged Casey to take more responsibility of motherhood. But, finances in the upbringing of Caylee Anthony were being handled quite well.
Also, hadn't Casey moved on to TonE L? And was looking to fish in Will Waters' (or whatever his name is) pond. I don't think Riscuso (sp) was her inspiration for killing her baby. He may have been the one to put the statement about not bringing Caylee along into recorded words, but I'm betting that there was probably kudos for Casey when she showed up @ adult functions without Caylee. The others probably felt it was pretty darn inappropriate for her to be there, plus I'm betting Caylee's presence probably put the kibosh on some of their activities.

IMO, the defense will certainly drag it out, do a lot of grand standing. Maybe wanting the trial to last @ least as long as OJ's or Scott Peterson's. You know, once this high profile trial is over, Jose's time in the spotlight, being called a high profile attorney will also be over. So, IMO, he'll certainly want it to last as long as he can possibly make it.
The trouble w/long drawn out trials is, it gets boring and redundant to watch, read about, etc etc etc. Like a trial I sat on--the prosecutor asked the police woman the same question 6 ways from Sunday, and then when the defense started his questioning, he did the same!!! THE QUESTION WAS ASKED AND ANSWERED, ALREADY!!!! :flamemad: Get on with something else, for Pete's sake!!!! Let's get the show on the road and get the trial over!!!

I hope the judge puts a stop to all the planned repetitive garbage. I'm thinking if LE didn't know for sure that she was the killer, her bail would have been set lower. Her trial is not going to be about guilt or innocence, it's going to be about screwing up and getting her out of jail on a technicality. I'm not looking forward to listening to Jose's yada yada because he's not the sharpest tool in the shed and he'll put me to sleep. Unless I laugh myself to the bathroom.
I betcha liar is so orientated to the cell life that she may not function in the world even if they do get her out.. not that she functioned well before her arrest. Anyway, I don't believe her lawyers are about her. They are about Tabloid exposure and fame for more than 15 minutes. If I were a defense lawyer, I wouldn't go near that case. Geragos has been trying to climb back up the rock since Peterson threw him to the sharks with his wife and son.
I expect Jose's whole career to turn into a joke. He'll be flippin burgers on the beach before long and liking it.

So much more. I'm happy;) What the FIRM is gonna say will be classic. Pass the popcorn please:beer:

Do you think this will be a short trail? If so, why?
I'm thinking three weeks. No offense BoB, but Florida doesn't run courtrooms like California. It's fast and the days are long. They will often keep the jury there till 9 p.m. and the trials can go past 6 p.m. I've been shocked to see how often the California trials break and suspend court for a day or two and a trial can last two months. Here, it's snap, crackle and pop and then Fry! Judge Strickland is no Judge Ito. I think he is going to keep it moving.

OMG i have never been so freaked out and relieved in my LIFE. all told he was "missing" about 15 minutes. he is not even my son and i was petrified. i cannot imagine ANY parent letting a child be missing for that long, no matter WHO the child belongs too and ESPECIALLY if it is your own. Dude, I was frantic and non-functional when the DOG escaped from the yard. Neighbors ran over hearing me frantically calling him...Hubby had to leave work so I could drive around and trace his likely route. (Found the Idjit trotting toward dog-fighting land in Oakland. He was happy to see me)
But...that was a DOG...how could you even breathe if your CHILD was missing? As a juror, I would always go back to "31 days" and then the pictures of what was happening in those 31 days. Casey was breathing, it appeared.

Ya know Loretta, it's bazaar to look at that little witch and realise that she was out of touch with human emotions for 31 days. As we all have had moments when we were not very nice to someone we love; within hours we have felt remorse and at most a few days come round and we back peddle and apologize and if we don't, we feel dirty inside. Speaking for myself, I have cried tears of guilt for lessor things. MUCH LESSOR!!!!
If I have a go round with a loved one because of a hormone, or a serious offense put toward me, it would take a lot less than 31 days to feel sorry for that person, or at least myself. At the very least, I would feel badly; too badly to run out and go to a party or get a tattoo.
It would seem to me, that she couldn't have loved that child, ever! I hate when the two airheads that raised that low life go on about how well she cared for Caylee. That cannot possibly be true. It won't compute.
Her behavior after her arrest, when LP bailed her out gave no indication that she was feeling anything at all for the kid. Listening to LP, he seemed shocked and seemed to be scratching his head about it all. He was all over the place about it at first, like WTF?? Then he got to thinking he could analyze her,,, eh? But to give the devil his due, he knows there was no love lost for her own child. She hated her, IMO. No one could kill something they loved except Othello.
This trial, or at least the defense team is going to be nauseating. I don't want to hear a word about her love for Caylee or I will have to insure my barf bag.

Not sure how Lyon will be utilized during the trial; I picture her as working mostly behind the scenes and then handling the penalty phase (PLEASE let there be one!). It doesn't make sense for an attorney to argue a not guilty plea/defense and then turn around and admit that while the client is guilty or has been found guilty that (s)he has such redeeming qualities that her life should be spared. But I could be way off base.

I read the IMs and I had some intersting thoughts. Casey had said in one of the IMs that Caylee has to come first and her job a close second. Now we know she never had a job but she did mention Caylee by name a few times. She also called her the little snot head. When I read it in the context it was written I don't really think Casey meant that in a mean way. The guy she was talking to however was constantly referring to Caylee as "the offspring" and constantly pushing for Casey to come over without Caylee. He was also persistant in asking where the nanny was. Casey at one point said to him that he should be more willing to come see her since he was more mobile. He responded to that by saying that he wants to get Casey out of her "elements" he was meaning away from Caylee. He was really pushing for Casey to be a party girl and not a mother. IMO. He even threatened that he was losing feelings for her because they barely saw each other. Now remember people saying that Casey changed when she started hanging out with this new group of friends? I really think Casey became what those friends wanted her to be. She was afraid to lose this guy so she killed Caylee. After reading the IMs I believe she killed her more to be with this guy than out of spite for Cindy. I really do. The 2 probably played hand in hand and Caylee's murder was the end result BUT she didn't kill Caylee just to spite Cindy. There were lots of other things going on. Casey even sticks up for Cindy saying Cindy can't babysit because she can't even move her neck. These IMs were written, I think the last one was in May. When again were the chloroform searches done? Casey probably thought about ways to get rid of Caylee but she never acted on it until everything came to a head. Just my MO. I'm not saying Casey is any less guilty by any means.

Casey probably thought about ways to get rid of Caylee but she never acted on it until everything came to a head. Just my MO. I'm not saying Casey is any less guilty by any means.
A&O, great interpretation that makes plenty of sense. Great post!
The chloroform searches on the Ants' computer were in mid-March or thereabouts. Pretty sure.

I am thinking Amy Casey did not feel it would last with Tone because of what she had done with Caylee and was looking for a back up plan in California.

Do we have a time frame of when she contacted that Marine in California. I'm thinking it might have been before Tony and also, she might just have been trying to scam him to give her money for a supposed airline ticket. It sticks with me that when Tony was in NY and told her jokingly that he was staying there, she started to cry and begged him to come back to Florida. She was really nuts for Tony (Tony who didn't want daughters). I bet that little phrase keeps him awake some nights.

I think she only saw this guy once or twice and was stringing him along. She met the other Tony right after meeting him and he's the one she told a friend that she was falling hard for, not Cop Tony. It's all phoney baloney as far as Cop Tony goes; she didn't want to see him because of new TonE (who said he didn't want daughters).

My take on it could be that Nejame once represented the Ants and now he's representing TES and released photos today that prove how the area was flooded. George might have felt that Nejame was not at liberty to release anything or say anything due to attorney client priviledge. Trouble is...during a hearing which was televised, George and Cindy released Nejame from any conflict of interest. Judge Strickland specifically asked the Ants about their relationship with Nejame and they had no problem. JMO

Well, Mark isn't going to be telling anyone anything. He's not a witness and George knows their convos are protected by attorney client privilege, anything the Ants told him will go to the grave. If you watch this - the photos show two wooded areas. They are across the street from each other on suburban drive. The area to focus on is on the right side. You will see a long wooden fence in the shape of a "V". At the point of the "V" is where the remains were found scattered. Actually maybe beginning 20 feet past the "V" end of the fence.

JMO

Hi Loretta. ITA. If they don't encourage counseling, they are doing a disservice. The Ants. don't live in reality. That will require intensive counseling which, I am sure, they will NEVER agree to. JMO.

He doesn't have one ITA! The only hope for that team is to hope something some where gets screwed up so they can declare a mistrial. This case is chuck full of hostile witnesses, drug abusers, media problems and poor character witnesses. Not to mention liars. This is going to be a circus from hell. I'm hoping Strickland is on top of it all at every turn. This nutcase is a menace to society and no danger to herself at all. She's possessed by her own reflection. No one could have made this crime up. It's too unbelievable.
I hear George: There was a smell but it was the smell of decomposing food!
I hear Cindy: I always say, it smells like a dead body when there is rotten food in my fridge.
All the work the prosecution has with these two.. for one thing I'd say, Isn't George a neat freak? Why would you have rotten food in your home??" here come 40 witnesses to testify to George's OCD about his environment. Drone drone drone..
And on and on..

Have y'all noticed that the squirrel is back on the internet? Turns out he wasn't dead after all. Casey's car knocked him unconscious, causing amnesia.
In a statement to police ( see BoB's avitar) The squirrel stated that he most certainly was not dead, that absolutely WAS NOT his body odor in Casey's car. He will appear on Larry King later to discuss the matter.

In almost all death penalty cases I have watched or heard about, there are two separate lawyers, one for guilt/innocence and one for penalty phase. The penalty phase lawyer is called the Keenan council. I feel that Baez will handle the guilt phase as much as possible and Lyon won't be involved (except behind the scene) 'til penalty phase. JMO

After listening to George I tell ya, he can rip my heart out. I wish he had more brain than nerve, but he's got to be in hell and high water! His main problem is blindness and conditioning I think. It has to be pretty near impossible for him to wrap his head around liar's probably actions, (hell we can't even wrap OUR heads around it) but hell, he has to face the bear sooner or later. It has to hurt more to struggle with the obvious than to face it and know his life will never be the same. His main battle is trying to get the world to agree with his fantasy.. let it go George.. move on. It can't be any worse than what you're trying to sell.

If you don't have time for a case, you should refer the accused to another attorney, imo. If a person's life is so important, shouldn't that take priority over other obligations? But she actually sounds like a real attorney. If there was more boring droning, case law citation, and less random weird incidents, this case would be like all the others, and be of just vague interest for most people. imo, of course...

That is how it should be done, imo. Like school uniforms. Do the work, don't waste time worrying about clothes, don't run the risk of affecting the jury somehow with your clothes.
Actually, all trials are bench trials here, the number of judges depends on the severity of the case.
But it still is so much more professional.

Darn it I missed all the courtroom action today. So what was the outcome? Are there any articles up yet? Sorry I'm being a PITA today but I got lots to do and little time to do it. My 4 year old got his tooth pulled yesterday and we have football and cheerleading practices this evening along with making dinner and taking care of the 4 year old. TIA! I really apprciate all the links you guys have been posting.

He said that?! I was busy trying to get a good feed early on...
I got a thought. You know how the defense seems to be saying they needed TL phone records and pings to show he went to the Suburban area after meeting with Lee (emphasis mine). And it was also said they had compelling new evidence that the body had ben placed there while Casey was incarcerated? (am I following all this right? I was hunting a good feed early on...)
I have GOT to wonder what, in his attorney's words, Lee "spilled" in his deposition...I think there's a link, imo, moo, etc...

Is TL all lawyered up? It sure sounds to me like he needs it. For those who didn't see the hearing, the defense wanted his phone records and pings, saying something about him having been in the dumping area after meeting with Lee. paraphrased and iirc.
Yup, that's paraphrased pretty good. Now having been in the area shouldn't mean anything to a logical person because he doesn't live that far away and the tower is probably either on Goldenrod or Lee Vista. Is the defense going to make him Zanny? I can hear it now. This young man was madly in love with this woman but he himself said he did not want girls, only sons.......Uh Oh. She was madly in love with him and wanted to protect him....

I did note that Bob and thats how it appeared to me from our angle. It will be interesting to get the reporters take on that. I cant remember at which point it was said but i did LMFAO when Bozo pointed out-I'm a lawyer. Glad he clarified otherwise we may not have known. Way to cute with Mark asking to be up first in order to be available for his daughter's first day of school.
When he was the Ants attorney, I saw him with his daughter in Whole Foods. What a beautiful little girl. Mark is very petite, as you can probably tell and so is his daughter who long black curly hair and huge eyes. Beautiful. I could not comprehend how he could be involved in this case with such an adorable little girl. Now I know why, his concern was to find Caylee.

I wonder if the naughty finger popped up when George was insisting Padilla and his folks only provided security. No lawyer here, but that did not sound helpful to the defense...
There was a really pathetic frenzy about it. It was one of those moments that makes me feel for her in spite of everything.
Who is that bald guy who is always with them? The one that looks like muscle? He was even in the background when George stormed the presser yesterday, I think.
Don't know who he is...wondered the same thing. There was a big guy also at the defense table, sitting in the back. Looked like he was trying to shield the Liar from her parent's view.
Re Padilla...the only security he was providing was protecting his $500K. He wasn't there to protect the family. Looked foolish trying to deny that Padilla was protecting his investment and not the family. If I were the State Attorney, I would have asked "if you were so afraid for your safety, why were you and your wife always outside arguing with the protestors?" Hmmm?

Well well well. Ms Casey has that jailhouse pallor going on big time and yes, she has gained weight, all that good starchy slop they feed them!! And the tears today, I think for the first time that they were real as I think it is finally getting to her, that she is going to be locked up for the rest of her life and I am sure that being in solitary confinement day after day, not seeing anyone but probably Bozo at times and the CO's is taking it's toll and she deserves nothing less for what she did to her beautiful child. And you all picked up on the fact that she did not want to make eye contact with Mommy too? Now she kinda acknowledged George and he does that throw a kiss crap, but whatever is going on internally between her and Cindy came slightly to the surface today. And scarily enough, she was subdued when she spoke to the media, something I have not seen in a long time, usually she is a drama queen, and today, completely deadpan. She did comment that it was good to see her daughter, but me thinks her daughter was not over joyed to see her at all!!!
Now here is this for a scenario. Her lawyers are trying to argue that Casey could not have put Caylee's body where it was found because she was in jail and that their strong argument seems to be about Tim Miller and the claim that that area was searched and her body was not there. Now a forensic botanist claims and I believe him, that the plant matter and vegetation found around and under the body had been there for months as long as Caylee had lain there, and that body fluids were present so that argument should go right out the window the minute he is on the stand and I think they want that squashed NOW before the trial so that he will not be called to testify and I hope the judge does not rule against it because that in itself is compelling evidence!!! And the ploy to keep LP from testifying too and I think they are worried about him, he is not a dumb man and he spent time with Casey and her dysfunctional family and Bozo is afraid of him, if he wasn't, he would not be trying so hard to get him eliminated from the pool of witnesses??? He could just shine him on and claim he is nothing more than a loud mouthed bounty hunter who has nothing valid to offer and IMO he does have a lot to offer!!!
And Bozo with his lawyer claim, me doth protest too much there!!! I think he is a lousy lawyer, the only reason he took this case is the high profile status and how much prestige he thinks he is going to get out of it!! And who is the large lady with the long hair? I did not catch her name and when did she hook up with the "Dream Team"??? Yes, I would say and with great satisfaction, that things are not going well for the Ice Princess, her color was terrible, she looked sickly and people do with the jailhouse look and it is not a good one for her, but she better get used to it, when she goes to death row, she will only have an hour out in a dog kennel, but I heard that she does not get to go outside at Orange CO?? And the prison food and the junk food she consumes is also taking a toll on her, but what else does she have to do in her cell but eat and read magazines??? God, that would so suck if I could not watch TV and go on my computer, but I never have to worry that I will land on the other side of the bars, I will be on the outside looking in !!!
I lost my train of thought due to my motor mouth, going back to the scenario. It is pretty clear that Caylee might have been in her car for at least a week for decomp to become at a horrible stench stage and then she was placed in the woods. Now, CA went to jail shortly after this all hit the media and then was bailed out briefly by LP, could it be possible that Cindy put Caylee in the woods? Now George is an emotional guy, prone to weeping, but Cindy has always struck me as being a very cold, unemotional person unless she gets pissed off, and do you think she could be cold enough to do that to her granddaughter??? I say this, because after today's obvious snub by CA towards Cindy, do you think they are getting close to turning on each other??? And I do think they left George out of the loop on this, because it is clear that he deeply loved Caylee and also deeply loves CA, if this is what went down, he was not privy to this at all and if it is true, he surely will lose it!!! I predicted a year ago, that they would probably get divorced over this and I stand behind it today, that whatever the outcome is for CA, it is going to be George that ends up devastated.

George throwing that kiss to Casey was so pitiful, wonder if it was a response to her tears, which could have been just another manipulation. I found it pathetic since George seems to be in such denial. Sounds like the forensic botanists are going to have to go toe to toe on the flora evidence.
I missed a lot of today's hearing and will have to look for a video, but something that struck me odd (if I heard it right) was that Mark NeJame commented that Brad Conway had reviewed the TES records. Does that strike anyone else as unusual? I realize Conway's not part of The FIRM, but the Ants sure seem to be taking the party line re: Casey's innocence. What's up with their attorney reviewing information that the defense seems desperate to get hold of?

Wind,
I hate to disagree with you but I don't think Casey was really crying. I did not see a single tear even when the camera got really close. Her eyes were not watery and her eyelashes were not wet.
As far as Cindy disposing of the body - I don't think she knew at the time she called police what Casey had done but her tune changed about the time LP bailed her out of jail. Maybe she talked Cindy into doing something to cover up for her. Maybe she is afraid to look at Cindy for fear someone will figure it out. JMO, MOO
