if its there it hasn't been released yet, but it would go along with the other computer stuff that they are using to show premeditation yea? since they don't have any COD and the only thing they have to go on in that regard is computer research about neckbreaking and chloroform, there HAS to be something else that would make this first degree murder and make them want the DP.
ITA. I know even under the FL Sunshine Law they aren't required to hand over EVERYTHING to the defense immediately. I don't know if it has to be turned over at some point before the trial. Even as terrible as this crime is, I am glad Casey wasn't so cold-blooded as to put Caylee where alligators could get to her. I still think she had planned to leave FL before she could get caught but just didn't have enough money put aside yet. Then Cindy closed in and we all know what happened from there. There has to be more compelling things to make them so certain that they would qualify this as a DP case - you are so right. Could she have researched that on Jose's computer all those days she went to his office on home confinement? Wasn't she allowed computer access there? I'm not sure on the time line of where this would fit in. JMO's.

i don't think that LE ever came into her little fantasy about how this would all work out in the end.
i think that any thinking ahead she might have done BEFORE the murder, and any covering up she may have done AFTERWARD were all for Cyndi. i think that Casey thought that it would just stay between their sick little family and she would never have to worry about the cops. and then when she had squirreled enough stolen money away she was gonna split the scene and never look back.
her mom sure did gunk up her plan by calling 911 didn't she.

Yeah, Loretta. Casey's Dream Team can bite me too! Certainly meets criteria for DP. No special treatment for the Liar unless Jose can convince her to confess and go for LWOP. Now, wouldn't that just push the Grinch right over the edge?! Just think, if the Liar finally admitted it, the Grinch's lies may send her to the pokey too!
Just wishful thinking on my part. Never gonna happen.

Please don't beat me up for this...
It was no coincidence that Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson died on the same day. When Farrah got to Heaven, St. Peter told her what a sweet Angel and good person she was during her life and asked if she would like one final request before she entered the Gates. She said, “I’d like to save the children”…
(Disclaimer…I know MJ was found ‘not guilty’…it’s just a joke…)

Could they come up with something LESS believable? Picking someone so distinct that the police could show she doesn't exist? I mean, it's hard to prove a negative, but it sure looks like they can here. Why didn't she just go with an undocumented "Maria Ramirez" that she didn't really know very well? THEN I could believe in a nanny that could disappear...

What she said made about as much sense as saying the Minnie Mouse did it. There are thousands of excuses she could have used and she picks this one? The elevator does not go to the top floor. Or as some would say, about 5 fries short of a happy meal.

Hi Sara! I knew ya were joking about the Riverboat b'day gal! NG totally forgot me!
More MJ tonight, too. Last week she did spend some time on a missing 10 yr. old girl here in my area---Lindsey Baum. LE has absolutely no leads, no clues, nothing. However, NG hasn't shown anything since then.

Good Morning to you, Nawny! :seeya:
You have a wonderful perspective on MJ. I was not so gracious in my thoughts or feelings. You are so right about the best things in life are truly free. I guess most of us would just like to have the big amounts of money to be able to pay the bills and not worry in life about what is coming down the pike for us to pay for next. I wouldn't care to have the fame and recognition either. I can be a recluse without having to!! My final thought is that he be able to RIP now wherever he is too. Thanks for giving me new insight.
I don't suppose the world is going to let him rest in peace. There will be specials and tabloid stories and things like that on and on and on and...... He will be "sighted" everywhere you turn. He and Elvis will be walking the streets of the country ad infinitum, never to be able to RIP. IMO

I know i hear ya. I tend to agree with J's post back a bit. I dont think Liar expected C to call police. She could run that story across G&C and they would swallow it. She prolly planned to be dust in the wind by the time police where involved and much less of a chance of finding Caylee in her twisted mind. I wonder if they will go with the Zanny defense? What was that famous case where the defense asked a non existent or deceased person to enter the court room. Everyone turned and looked at the door. Defense then said there was a presumtion in everyone's mind that this person existed/alive ? And then they could add that we cant see air but we know it exists. That would be entertaining at best :D

lol as dumb as the whole thing is that would have been much more believable. she got way to specific with the name...IMO if she wanted a imaginanny to take responsibility then it should have been maria or christina or some other extremely common name, but Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez? for crying out loud!!! but that of course is the downfall of everything she has said, too many details about what DOESN'T matter, not enough information about what DOES
well for crying out loud, you turn the channel to HLN right now and it just doesn't matter what time it is or what show is on, all you see is Michael effin Jackson!!! do they not realize that all of those shows are playing the same crap? lol :punch: they don't ALL have to tell the same story hour after bloody hour do they?
I know it's so frustrating! I keep hoping NG or one of her crew will notice that her ratings have tanked and figure out it's because we are SICK AND TIRED OF MJ!!! Who cares??!! She needs to get back to her original premis of helping innocent victims. I don't see MJ as innocent or victim really. Padilla and Tracy's police statements are due to be released at the end of this month. Baez said Padilla was working for him and he can't divulge anything due to client priviledge. Padilla working for Baez, right. Padilla is going to like that one. :D

Interesting. Does that mean that Baez fronted the money to bail Casey out? (Wasn't that a big question early on?) Not sure I understand how Baez can conceivably consider LP was working for him. Let's see that contract, Jose!

I love Nancy, inspite of some of her faults but I am not watching either. I am sorry that Michael Jackson died; he was very talented, etc. some people die before their time, some people live very long lives. Death is the final stage of life. :rose:
ITA with ya Light. I am a fan of NG at times. People either love her or hate her. I usually watch her because of her coverage of missing kids and although she's pretty brutal at times, I think she's sharp and knows her stuff.

There are kids going missing that she needs to be putting on her show so the public can be looking for them.
Agree. I thought the focus of NG's show was the court system. No doubt the MJ death will turn into a huge couple of cases and they will be interesting for sure, but for every HLN program to reiterate the same information over and over is redundant and repetitive. ;):hat: And it's wearisome.

Ha, Ha! Sara! I have to admit; I was in New Orleans back in '93 and went on a riverboat ride.
Lindsey Baum was walking home from her friend's house at 9:30 pm which was less than 4 blocks. Nobody has seen here since. Absolutely baffling.
DrewB
Wait a minute!!!! It was 9:30 p.m. Now I really am suspicious. Who in the world let's a 10 year old girl walk four blocks by herself that late? When I was 12 I started babysitting for my next door neighbor and she always came out and watched me walk into my house and it was the very next house, less than 15 feet away. No one let's a little girl walk home, not even at 7 p.m. I cannot believe the mother knew she was going to be by herself that late. Something stinks here.

From O2S post in the news update column:
...Padilla's employees routinely drove her to and from Baez's office. Padilla said Anthony was plenty chatty.
"She would drop little statements when she was being driven back when she was with Tracy," Padilla said...
...Defense lawyer Richard Hornsby said the agreements are worthless because Florida statutes do not allow attorneys and bail bondsmen to enter in to those types of confidentiality arrangements.
"Jose Baez should have never had a reasonable expectation that anything she said would be confidential or fall under the attorney client privilege and that's a big problem," Hornsby said. "He should have advised her right away -- don't say anything to anybody."...

Hey, Gator. I hear ya. Her curfew was 10:00 PM!! On Lindsey's thread, some of us "reamed" the mother for being so irresponsible with curfew and not walking her child to and from her friend's home. Dumb-ass parents.
What is your theory, Gator. I've got nothing.
I live about an hour from the small town where she disappeared. Local news coverage has dwindled. No clues. Nothing to go on that LE is reporting, anyway. I know the father lives in Tennessee and made a plea for her safe return before he was deployed. There was a rumor that Lindsey had said at one point (not sure how long ago) that she wanted to run away to Tennessee to see her dad. Apparently, the parents have been divorced for about 2 yrs. and Lindsey hasn't seen him in over 1 yr. but they have regular phone contact.
How can a 10 yr. old be allowed to walk home (even though it was only 4 blocks) so late at night?! I'll say it again, Dumb-ass parents! Let me know what you're thinking. . .

From what I understand, the argument happened BEFORE she arrived at her friend's house 4 blocks away. Lindsey was walking along and brother came along on his bike. They had a screaming match and a neighbor came outside and broke it up, telling the brother to head back home on his bike. IIRC, they argued over who could use the bike. I'll have to go back and read again.

Thanks for the clarification. Why any parent would allow such a late curfew for a young child is beyond me. What she said made about as much sense as saying the Minnie Mouse did it. There are thousands of excuses she could have used and she picks this one? The elevator does not go to the top floor. Or as some would say, about 5 fries short of a happy meal.
Of course, to the ones who are not familiar with things LE can use to find out truth or lies, her original story - not the park nabbing one - sounded pretty good until it was able to be picked apart. Now, with a daddy who was in LE, and a detective no less, wouldn't she have known to try to use a better alibi? Love your analogies of the elevator and happy meal. :D

well, it depends, if Casey had been able to make a clean break from all things Florida and started over in a different state then there would not have been much that Cyndi could do. she could have probably pulled it off completely given the distance between her and her mother. its scary but i think that she could have even kept Cyndi from calling police if Cyndi knew that she wasn't anywhere near her anymore, if Casey "had Caylee" out of state and just kept making excuses as to why grandma could not speak to her but she didn't tell her mom where she was, or if she did she gave her a different location as she was wont to do from time to time, then what would Cyndi have been able to tell police aside from "my ADULT daughter has left home with her child and won't let me talk to her anymore....this is where she said she is....." and when the police checked it out, either Casey was not even there or she was living under a different name or something.

Okay, now I understand your position better. Since I'm a newbie, I don't know a lot of these things. Thanks for the heads up. How many families these days are dsyfunctional like the A's and try to hide it too? We may never know.
hahaha i have no idea, the very thought of that is staggering. my mother would rather the world explode in a firey ball than let the outside world in on her real side. i have known from a very young age that my mom is completely two faced. my younger sister as well, and we both play her sides in our favor when we can, because its all there is to do with her, my son even sees that she really doesn't care for him at all, and he uses her two sidedness to get things from her. we never would treat our father that way, but we also KNOW that he loves us as his children, not as something to show off or be ashamed of in public and ignore or berate in private

I do wonder what they're cooking up on the defense side now that they have a DP qualified lawyer/professor to bring in some new perspectives?!? IMO, I think all possible scenarios have already been covered by those on this board. :)
after all the media I do not know how they can come up with anything else that would not sound suspicious if different from Zanny. Unless it is even more dark and secretive and Casey is still protecting her family.......sara imo

Oh how this hits home for me also. We knew Dad loved each one of us unconditionally but Mom had her favorites and I wasn't one of them so I guess I can claim a bit of understanding of how things might have been in the Anthony house too. My children knew who she liked and didn't like and couldn't understand it and I'm sorry they had to experience that when they were young (like Caylee) but now that they are both gone, the children are older and see that all humans have faults and failings and that they are not perfect themselves. I do really wish things had turned out so differently for little Caylee. :rose:

well, it depends, if Casey had been able to make a clean break from all things Florida and started over in a different state then there would not have been much that Cyndi could do. she could have probably pulled it off completely given the distance between her and her mother. its scary but i think that she could have even kept Cyndi from calling police if Cyndi knew that she wasn't anywhere near her anymore, if Casey "had Caylee" out of state and just kept making excuses as to why grandma could not speak to her but she didn't tell her mom where she was, or if she did she gave her a different location as she was wont to do from time to time, then what would Cyndi have been able to tell police aside from "my ADULT daughter has left home with her child and won't let me talk to her anymore....this is where she said she is....." and when the police checked it out, either Casey was not even there or she was living under a different name or something.
wow, i think it is apparent i spend WAY TOO MUCH time thinking about this case, it just sticks right in my brain
It's hard not to think about this case what with Caylee being such an angel and the Ants being such conundrums. Then add the remoras and attention seeking wh0res who have attached themselves to the proceedings.
I do think at some point, Cindy would have asked LE to do a welfare check, but if Casey had made it out of state, it might have been impossible to perform, especially if Casey was only using her cellphone and had assumed a new identity, let's say maybe using the name Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez. (kidding!)
And for the umpteenth time I've got to say that I will never understand why Cindy didn't involve LE earlier. I mean, sheesh. The woman couldn't sleep!

I caught a moment or two of Mike's show and Leonard was on there via broadband and apparently there is some crap going around that Bozo wants whatever conversations that he had with CA to be considered privledged info??? Since when does a chat with a bounty hunter who took it upon himself to bail her sorry ass out because he really thought if she was out of jail, she might tell where Caylee is, a matter of privacy?? I tell you that Bozo is bad news, and he is a lousy lawyer and I think down the road we are gonna see him disbarred and he is feeding her the idea that she is going to walk on the murder charge and be as free as a bird and I think it is gonna hit her hard when that jury says guilty and then the penalty phase where they say death sentence??? I do not want somewhere down the road, on an appeal, that a new lawyer finds some loophole or something Bozo did or did not do and uses it to set her free??? We all know this happens and in MI it just did.
Do any of you remember the Sharee Miller case? The piece of white trailer trash that marries a man who owned a salvage yard by the name of Bruce Miller? She only married him for money and because she is such a slutpuppy, she gets bored with him, but not his money and she knows if she just divorces him she will get nothing so she sets out to find a perfect patsy to help her get rid of Bruce, but not the money and she find one in Reno when she goes there on a Mary Kay convention, by the name of Jerry Cassaday a pit boss at a casino and they start this on-line romance and then it turns into a affair and she sends him porn videos starring herself and then she hatches this plan to tell Jerry she is pregnant with his baby and even sends an old sonogram of one of her kids and this man thinks he hit the lottery as this woman would do anything, and I mean anything in the bedroom and now she is having his baby???
Then she ruins that illusion by telling this foolish man that Bruce kicked her in the stomach and she lost their baby and sends him pics of her with bruises on her chest and stomach and all it is is makeup and then when she has him hooked, game, set and match, she tells him she is preggers again with twins, but that Bruce knows they are not his and he get this, "rapes her so bad, she loses these babies too" Now old Jerry goes berserk!!! And she sets the trap by telling him that Bruce has got even more abusive and that he threatened to kill her if she left him and this guy Bruce was one of the nicest guys around, he took this slampig and her kids in, gives the kids the first stable home they ever had because mama was too much of a slutbag to care for them properly and now she wants him dead for his money and poor, poor sucker Jerry, drives to MI, goes to Bruce's yard and shoots him dead. Now this was planned right out and then the skank calls Bruce's brother claiming she can't reach him and he goes there and finds his brother dead. Now the Mt Morris PD thinks it is a robbery gone bad as money was taken but that was all a ruse to make the cops think that and now Jerry here thinks he can now have his "little princess" to himself and nothing could be further than the truth. She gets all of Bruce's money, house and business because this naive trusting man really thought she loved him and then refuses to take Jerry's calls and tells him not to come out to MI and he moves to Kansas City and realizes that he has been played.
Within weeks of the murder this slutbucket has hooked up with a delivery man and he is sharing her bed and all that money!! Jerry commits suicide by eating his gun and this man, at one time was a cop and he figured out that he would get life in prison and that he was never going to have Sharee and blew his brains out. He left behind in a briefcase a confession letter which his brother finds when he goes to get his personal effects and calls the KCPD and they call MSP and they fly out to KC and get the letter and they arrest **** coming off a plane and she is tried for second degree murder and conspiracy and is found guilty and was sentenced to life plus 52 years and this happened in 2000 and all of a sudden this piece of dog crap is getting a new trial because she conned her male lawyer into doing her bidding, this ugly b*tch has one hell of an effect on men and he got a female federal judge to say that Jerry's suicide note should never have been entered as evidence in her first trial and she was due to walk out of Scott prison today, but the DA of Genessee County was not about to let this slutpuppy out free and she was moved to their jail, and he formally re-charged her today with the same charges and it does not look like she will be out on bail and guess what!
Last year, this not too very bright guy saw an episode of "SNAPPED" and thought she just looked so sad and he loved her eyes and this moron wrote her a letter and of course she let this guy come see her, her type all the way, older and stupid and he marries this skank!!! Now we all know this loser totally believes she is as innocent as a lamb, and when asked about what she did, especially those slutty videos she took of herself masturbating, he said that,. that was her then, she had to do what she did because Bruce was hurting her??? Bruce never even raised his voice at her, allowed her to be a Mary Kay representative even when she traveled and gave her and the kids anything they wanted and if I had met Bruce I would have thought I died and went to heaven! Not this loser trailer trash, she only saw dollar signs and how to get it without having to stay with him and I am confident that she will be sent back for the rest of her life again because this case horrified all of MI and across the country! The lengths she went through to get rid of Bruce, like he did not matter, his life meant nothing to her so why the F*CK should she be able to get out and be with the new hubby?
She would use him too if she got free and I don't think this fool has money, but she would find something she can use him for on the outside. I imagine he sends her (GAG) love letters, and you know he sends her money, and he is a big fool, but I hope she does not do to him what she did when she destroyed two men who really loved this slutbucket but he is a big boy. I loathe her with all I am because of how she just devious she was, she convinced a man who used to be a cop, that her husband abused her and beat a baby out of her and then told him Bruce raped her and that is how she lost the two? This skank had her tubes tied, THANK GOD! She is as bad as Pam Smart and like Pam she should never get out and I pray that the jury this time around will see her for the loser piece of trash that she is and send her back to the pokey. As it stands, her earliest parole date is 2055 when she is 83 and her hubby is 103 so they will never live together, but apparently it is OK with that moron, he LIVES for visiting day!!! Some people are their own downfalls and this guy is headed for a fall! I am willing to bet he ain't the only man in her life, she probably has other suckers to send her stuff and this idiot does not have a clue!!
Now we're finally getting somewhere with the doc dumps -- Baez filed a motion to stop any further information from being released. Padilla and Tracy's police statements are due to be released at the end of this month. Baez said Padilla was working for him and he can't divulge anything due to client priviledge. Padilla working for Baez, right. Padilla is going to like that one. :D

Jose needs to pay attention to detail, if you ask me (I know you didn't, but I'll spout off anyway, lol.) Padilla posting bond for Casey does NOT mean he works for anyone, not even Casey. If the A's had posted bond, would that have made THEM working for Jose?
Just like the D Casey thing. D Casey was poking about in the woods several months AFTER his contract with Jose had expired or was closed, whatever it was called. So, whatever D Casey was doing and whatever he found was NOT "work product" for Jose, for pete's sake!!!! I caught that one when he first said it, and I'm not a lawyer and have never played one on TV. I've never even read a darn law book--it just takes a few chips of common sense.

Wind, if you read the motion you'll see that it also sports Andrea Lyon's name, although only Bozo signed it. I guess everything from here on out will have her John Hancock on it, but I'll assume that despite information to the contrary, she thinks this "contract" with Padilla is going to constitute privilege.
Just recently heard of the Miller case. Chilling! She's manipulative just like Casey. Or worse. And I guess collects the commissary bucks, just like Casey.

From what I could tell reading the contract, it only specifies that Padilla and Co. can't record Casey, keep her from having contact with The Firm, etc. There is nothing that even resembles a privileged relationship or that Padilla is in his employ. Baez is a bozo.

well, it depends, if Casey had been able to make a clean break from all things Florida and started over in a different state then there would not have been much that Cyndi could do. she could have probably pulled it off completely given the distance between her and her mother. its scary but i think that she could have even kept Cyndi from calling police if Cyndi knew that she wasn't anywhere near her anymore, if Casey "had Caylee" out of state and just kept making excuses as to why grandma could not speak to her but she didn't tell her mom where she was, or if she did she gave her a different location as she was wont to do from time to time, then what would Cyndi have been able to tell police aside from "my ADULT daughter has left home with her child and won't let me talk to her anymore....this is where she said she is....." and when the police checked it out, either Casey was not even there or she was living under a different name or something.
wow, i think it is apparent i spend WAY TOO MUCH time thinking about this case, it just sticks right in my brain
J you're a normal minded individual and for you, this skank's actions are unprocessable (is that a word?) IMO. You can't imagine the scenario that probably took place. She was a young energetic mother, not crippled (literally anyway) She could have gotten out of the situation Cindy had her in, left the state, raised her child and Cindy could do nothing about it. I agree with you. There is a solution to every problem and any good mother with a normal brain could have found the solution. So many mothers have found new ways of saving themselves and their children from horrific control freaks. Some had more than one child and the majority had no man to help them. Casey found Caylee dispensable. Cindy found out no one controls another human being. Fact.
The only thing that saves the day in any situation is LOVE. None there. All ego driven behaviors in that house. IMO

I hear that loretta! Somehow, deep inside perhaps Ms Cindy knew there was no more Caylee very early on. She is a Denial Pro. What ever did happen that night dummy left that house, had to be very bad. I'm still confused as to when she left the house. Not sure if she left that Father's day night, or the next day or both.

I do remember that one Wind! Think she was a bit narcissistic??? The only thing she loved was her own reflection. IMO That was one of the most horrible crimes I've ever seen. She murdered two people by proxy. But the thing that gets me is: Her lover left information before he killed himself which means to me that he was suspicious of her. That stuff got her hung. He wasn't as dumb as she thought. Her husband was a workaholic. She had all the toys but he wasn't paying attention to her. Boooo hoooo. When in a relationship with a narcissist, you WILL PAY ATTENTION! YAYUS! He should have married a grown up.

Here's a similar scenario: woman asphyxiated with duct tape, a crucifix taped to her mouth! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,533680,00.html?loomia_ow=t0:s0:a16:g2:r4:c0 .178062:b26515422:z0

hahaha i have no idea, the very thought of that is staggering. my mother would rather the world explode in a firey ball than let the outside world in on her real side. i have known from a very young age that my mom is completely two faced. my younger sister as well, and we both play her sides in our favor when we can, because its all there is to do with her, my son even sees that she really doesn't care for him at all, and he uses her two sidedness to get things from her. we never would treat our father that way, but we also KNOW that he loves us as his children, not as something to show off or be ashamed of in public and ignore or berate in private
Most of us understand to some degree what dysfunctional is. I want to know what FUNCTIONAL is. The only way to repair the damage done to us in childhood is to not let history repeat itself in our own little families. There is hope there. Like a scripture reminds us, "Forgive them, they know not what they do" The most difficult obstacle in the lives of those who have been hurt by the one they adore the most, is the feeling they give you that you are worthless. Our children know that is not true.
When we become mothers ourselves, there are little people who need us desperately and love us unconditionally as they grow to be adults who find us very worthy. That's the bottom line for me and the most important line. Old tapes; Eff that noise!
The central lie is that we have no value. That is sickness put upon us by someone who felt worthless herself. It took me years to understand that and accept it. It's a small mountain, I climbed it.
Let's rock and roll! Life is beautiful and love is beautiful! :) :rose: And ya know what else? It isn't raining here in New England today! YET! :seeya:

I do think that when she saw that they found Caylee's remains, she got a jolt of reality and her reaction was not grief either. It was concern for herself. In no way am I defending anyone but what would the police do? The Liar was of age, she had sole custody of her child. She was communicating and didn't seem to be in distress. I really don't think this is a brain problem as much as a attitude problem. She believes that the world revolves around her and bows to her beck and call. She did not and still does not want to be responsible for anyone including herself. Someone else is suppose to be responsible for her and her happiness. Therefore, she could not leave because she would have had to work. Both to support herself and to take care of Caylee. She could BS her way through taking care of herself by using the nearest male but that did not take care of Caylee. Using her sociopath thinking, she got rid of what was holding her back. Nawny, yeah, I talked to my cousin in Vt and she said all it has done was rain and thunderstorms and today, a year ago is when Epsom NH and surrounding towns got nailed with an F-3 tornado and one woman was killed when she tried to shield her 3 month old grandson from the debris flying when their home took a direct hit and the baby was found in a crevice in the one wall still standing and the woman was killed when another wall fell on her. The hood is still bearing scars and some people still suffer from what I would say is PTSD as a result because while tornadoes do occur in NH, they are usually not as strong as that one was and that one was on the ground they figure for 50 miles and was about 2 miles wide!! We get them here too, but usually the really strong ones hit south of me, in the Fenton and Saginaw and Flint areas and last year, they had an F-3 in Fenton and wiped out half the town, but luckily no one killed. But the weather is so wacky here, yesterday, 42 freaking degrees when I woke up, I put the heat on a tad, which is a waste of money seeing as I have the AC in the window!! Today, was nice and it should be warming up middle of this coming week. Now I have liked some days here, we had a whole week of really good weather, low 70's and no humidity, 4th of July was awesome!! SO I guess everyone is experiencing some weird weather all over.

DCS wouldn't be able to investigate if Casey wasn't showing up at home, the most that could have been done while Caylee was "missing" or not being produced would have been a homestudy and that wouldn't have been completed without interviews of the entire family. What the po po could have done was put out a BOLO on the car to do a welfare check on Caylee; presumably Casey was driving all over the place and using her EZ pass, so it looks like sooner or later an alert officer would have spotted her in traffic. (But not Richard Cain. He prolly wouldn't have bothered.)
Sure, Caylee was already dead by the time Cindy started having hot flashes and wakefulness, but it would have sped up the process, possibly leading to having found Caylee's body sooner. All water under the bridge and doesn't matter EXCEPT: Caylee was G&C's life. How could they NOT do something?

I really have to doubt that she was their life. If so, they sure didn't and don't act like it. It looks more like casey is their life and they will do what ever to protect her. Not so much Caylee. I have to doubt them on that one.
Agree. Not doubting that they loved her and mourn for her in their own way, but I think they also mourn what they (in part) caused to be lost. Seems like G&C have both stated that Caylee was their life. Maybe that just means that she was the easiest thing in their lives to control and manipulate.

Not exactly how I would put it but I agree with the most of it.
MJ is still in the news for the same reason he was in the news to begin with. I does wonders for ratings (which these "news shows" work overtime to get) and because people worshiped him. A very large part is to be "politically correct." He was simply a man who could sing (some think, me not) and dance. Nothing more, nothing less. We really need for this nation to get a life and quit worshiping celebrities. It means nothing. They are no better nor any worse than any of us and I would much rather banter back and forth here with you folks than to see any of them in person. Most of their egos are so big you couldn't get in the same room with them.
I could not agree with you more. It was the same when Anna Nicole Smith died. There was something about her every 3 minutes. Then Lady Bird Johnson died right after and it was barely mentioned. Not one network or cable news station carried her funeral live, just a few local stations. When we look at he people that we glorify, is it any wonder our kids don't choose the right heros to emulate? JMO, MOO

WOW! A year ago is when Cindy made that infamous 911 call that started this whole case off and got picked up by all the networks where it has played out for the past year. I wonder if she regrets now saying that CA's car smells like there was a damm dead body in it?? Right there, she implicated her daughter as it was her car and I know at that moment she knew Caylee was dead, but you will never hear her admit it because this woman is a sociopath just like her daughter and to think I actually used to feel sympathy for her and Lap Dog, and now I feel nothing but contempt and hatred towards all of them, especially CINDY! I guess, like him or not, Padilla called that one right and while he is not a board scholar, that man is street smart to the max and don't forget he knows when he is being played or lied to, kinda like me, I could tell right off when one of our low lifes were trying to pull a fast one, like they are wasted, crash their car right through a building and then have the balls to call me from a bar and tell me his car was STOLEN????
And he was identified by a passerby who saw the whole thing and he ran from the scene whereas he went to the local bar and then when the guys go in and grab him, he says to me when they brought him in, "How did you find me"?? I said, "well you little moron, we have this new modern thing called CALLER ID and that someone fingered you" and without missing a beat, he says, "was that the guy in the black Ford"???? So you know Padilla has stared down many a low life in his day, but I bet at first, Cindy and for sure CA, threw him a curve because they appear to be just a middle class family unit and nothing could be further from the truth. He probably has heard more honesty from a junkie! I was surprised that the networks EVEN remembered that today was the day we knew Caylee was lost forever because that famous JUNKIE has overshadowed everything else going on in the US and I could give a crap less. Now I want this scumbag b*tch to go to trial and be sent to the death house. Do you all think the DA will be ready by Oct to take her to trial or is this going to be years from now??? I just want this over with and for her to get what is coming to her and then we should never hear from her low life family either except for the night of the execution.
I am way behind reading posts but I noticed something I had not paid particular attention to at the time. On the 911 call, Cindy says her daughter had been missing for a month but they had found her that day but the granddaughter is still missing. Then she goes on to say the car smells like a dead body. Didn't Cindy say later that she talked to Casey every day or so during that 30 days? She commented that Casey always had a story aout why she couldn't talk to Caylee. Now I am thinking she probably was not in touch with Casey during that time because I think these phone calls was one time she told the truth. Has anyone checked the phone records?

Ya know the murder trial is going to be based mainly on circumstantial evidence ie, 31 days to report her child missing. No one on that jury or anywhere else will be able to deal with their child missing for 31 seconds..IMO
I see the guilty verdict being based on that alone. Other physical evidence such as the Winnie the poo blanket found with the remains, etc.. can be argued. "How many of those blankets were sold in Florida yada yada..
But Cindy's lies are all on tape. THe Zenieda case is going to great lengths to make the defamation case stick because of all the living proof that the A's said what they are being accused of saying.
I think the hearing was not in Cindy and George's favor and they will be forced to answer the questions. There was more on that but I can't remember how it went. I think there was something said about their lawyer would filter any questions that he feels do not pertain to the lawsuit. (Or that could taint a jury in the murder trail, or some such.)

Honestly, having fiends who do "packages" for media, its simply easier to do celebs as opposed to real 3 dimensional people. Picture how easy it is to get footage of Anna Nicole together, edit it, and "tell" a story. Then picture the work and research needed to Lady Bird Johnson, not to mention even dealing with the legals, the getting permission to use the footage. (I could not believe some of the stories she had about "clearing" some footage in her packages-who owns it after companies change hands and merge and are sold?)
imo, its laziness. I mean, when NG does Caylee, notice she always has the same footage? Its been cleared and canned, no work at all...The media has changed since Walter Cronkite. You'd think with 24 hour news, they would have MORE time to do better, now they spend less...imo.

This might be a dumb question, but does the fact that Baez paid off the Amy Huizenga fraud money to B of A mean that there will be no prosecution of that?
I tho't all the return of monies were by Cindy and her 401? I don't think repaying the money (no matter by whom) would cancel prosecution of a fraud. But, I'm no lawyer, so that is JMO.

That's right deacon. When someone embezzles monies in the Insurance industry, for one, they make the front page here, restitution must be made and then jail! It was the actual hearing that was postponed in May, don't think it's been rescheduled, I didn't find it on Rodriguez's docket:
Civil Case Hearing Postponed
The civil case against Casey Anthony was expected to move forward Thursday, but instead it is now postponed.
The judge was supposed to decide whether to order Cindy, George and Lee Anthony to answer questions they originally refused to answer during depositions. However, Brad Conway, the attorney for George and Cindy Anthony, hurt his back and had to cancel.
Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez said they are frustrated, but will have to wait. They said they want George and Cindy to answer questions about Casey possibly stealing money. They say that could prove if she really did ever know a Zenaida Gonzalez.
Casey told investigators a woman by the same name kidnapped Caylee in June 2008.
The hearing may be rescheduled in June.

It was brought up during the bond hearings back in July 2008. Cindy was on the witness stand and stated that her daughter wasn't actually missing and that they were in contact via cell phone and emails. She stated that although she hadn't seen her for that time, she did have contact and that there was never a "convenient" time for Casey to bring Caylee home. I am sure the state's attorney would have jumped all over her then if they doubted the phone records.

A lot of this case is documented either by phone calls or interview tapes and a lot of what they all said or lied about has been recorded by the media and don't think for one second when Cindy is up to bat on the witness stand that the DA won't be punching big holes in her testimony by asking her say, about the 911 tape. "Why did you tell the detective that your daughter and granddaughter were missing and that you said it had been 30 days since you talked to your daughter, when now you say you were in constant contact via phone and e-mails"?? Can't wait to watch her squirm her away out of that one, except on the stand at a criminal trial, you take an oath to tell the truth, (something that escapes all of them) you can't throw a hiss fit and refuse to answer the questions because the judge can order her to jail for contempt, but ya know what kids? She is gonna pull this crap like she did at the depos and it is gonna send her daughter one step closer to the death house and she is so self centered, she will not even see this even if a lawyer were to tell her to shut up!!!
Like when she calls and leaves a message implicating her daughter on the detective's voice mail??? Now you know she is gonna deny that is her voice, or some other sh*t, and what would be pure entertainment if a sweet innocent child was not dead, because I am gonna enjoy watching Cindy on that stand. To say she would be a hostile witness is an understatement???? Do you all think the trial will start in Oct?? I think the DA has it in the bag, but watch Bozo try to drag it out, another camerawhore, and he loves to grandstand, me thinks he stands in front of a mirror every morning, trying out different poses, probably changes suits, ties and shirts, for every pose, can you see him wear a vest, a pocket watch and hooks his thumbs in his lapels?? He is another one who likes to flash it up with the $300 haircuts and Armani suits, he looks like a hood and if he were not of Spanish descent, he could pass for a mafia hood!! And he is a terrible lawyer, and like I said, I hope he does not screw anything up, so that some other lawyer who might be working her appeals, as I feel he will be disbarred, finds something he did not do or do right, or something he did that was not legal, or some other legal loophole and she walks!!! I have seen this happen!!!
It will be the trial of this century for sure, but I hope it is not dragged on for months, the state of FL, or should I say the taxpayer's will be footing a massive bill! As for her "dream team" Bozo is doing it for personal gain, I don't know about Baden, she certainly does not need to toot her own horn and she is married to the best forensic, medical examiner that ever lived, Michael, and there is a man who I deeply admire. unlike Henry Lee who I think is a conceited buffoon. But in the end, it won't matter., there is so much overwhelming evidence that points to CA, and let's not forget the many photos of her, the conversations she had with her parents, it will be hard even for a woman who lies to her own self and everyone else to try to do damage control for her daughter, her boat is already sunk.

This was posted by a blogger.....
By their way of thinking they say that since Amy Huizenga, Casey’s ex-friend has been compensated by her bank and Baez’s firm reimbursed the bank for more than $600 there should be no harm in delaying it.
My question here is why should Casey get this delay at the expense of Amy Huizenga’s justice for what has happened to her? Bowing down to Jose Baez and his demands doesn’t seem to be quite fair to Amy. She is the victim here and I know if it were me in her shoes I would be expressing my rights to a speedy trial and make them go to a trial now. Casey has had enough privileges set for her. She thinks she is a dam princess enough now anyway. It is time to take her damn crown away and bring her back to reality, where if you put yourself in this position you must pay for it.

Attorneys for Casey Anthony ask judge to put off check fraud trial
Willoughby Mariano Sentinel Staff Writer
6:56 PM EDT, July 16, 2009
Lawyers for accused child killer Casey Anthony filed a slew of motions in Orange County Circuit Court today, including one asking a judge to put off trial in her check fraud case.
Attorneys Jose Baez and Andrea Lyon argued that they're too busy preparing for Anthony's first-degree murder case to handle a fraud trial. Anthony faces the death penalty in the death of her daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony. Trial is delayed until next year at the earliest.
Prosecutors asked Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland in a June 22 motion to set a date for the fraud trial within the next two months.
Anthony, 23, faces more than a dozen fraud counts, including fraudulent use of personal identification information and forgery of a check. Investigators said she used her friend's checkbook to buy clothes and other items.

Jose Baez wants to delay fraud case against Casey Anthony
July 19, 5:39 PM
Casey Anthony’s attorneys have asked Judge Stan Strickland to delay her fraud trial until her murder trial is over.
According to a motion filed Thursday afternoon by Casey’s defense team, “The complexity of the capital case necessitates a delay in the check forgery case.”
Casey is charged with stealing her former friend, Amy Huizenga’s, checkbook and writing over $400 worth of checks, including using the checks for a shopping spree at Target.
Two of Casey’s attorneys, Jose Baez and Dr. Andrea Lyon argue the defense cannot afford to waste time on a fraud case with the death penalty hanging over their client’s head.
They also argue there will be no harm in delaying the fraud case because Amy has already been compensated for her losses by her bank and Baez’s firm has reimbursed the bank with what is reported to be more than $600. snip

Okay, so IF the bank DID reimburse Amy H for those checks was that under the FDIC regulations of a bank? Does that mean our monies covered that fraud in a round-about way? Not sure if yous know what I mean...but is it the taxpayer's money that covers the Federal Insurance for banks? Anyway, I guess, the point really is that someone else had to cover the debt and not Liar.
I agree about the escalation in stealing by Casey all because there was no consequence to her and she, HERSELF, was not made to pay for all of it. Good thing Cindy paid from her 401K BEFORE it took the hits from the stock market drops! Those creditors may have never seen their money again. I realize Cindy took a hit for dipping into her 401K before retirement but I guess I have to give her credit *unwillingly* for covering those debts.

I agree with ya' beemer! Andrea Lyons can keep on working on the DP case while Bozo covers these other 'minor' things (or maybe he can't handle these things by himself - needs another lawyer to guide him through - hehehe). If the reason they really want to stall is that she would have a criminal record when she goes to trial for murdering her child, then they had better worry about much larger things...like how to defend her from herself and her parents?!? :)

A prosecutor in our state was charged with DUI the other week and before it came to trial they allowed a plea deal. The charges he pleaded to were nothing to do with DUI. They dropped that part.
Why wouldn't this surprise me?!?! We, common folk have to live by the laws of the land but it doesn't seem to apply to others.
Now, in our state, they are trying to level a tax on the rich and it's not going over at all. Whoever said "money speaks" knew what they were talking about!
So, if enough money is thrown around in Casey's Case, does this mean some charges will be dropped? I hope not.

lol i have been wondering why they are making such a big deal of this. she has a small township of lawyers working for her, there is no way that some of them don't have time to work on something right now. does Jose think that he is gonna get her acquitted of murder and they are gonna go straight to the beach or something, PUH-LEEZE lmao
Well, now, JLette, we were discussing this 'beaching' issue a little while back in posts because someone wants the trial to be moved to Miami and there was even a little bit of joshing that one poster's Shamu wasn't as large as anothers... rofl With her Dream Team (note TEAM), I agree that she has plenty on board who would/could/should be able to handle these other matters that come up.
Another question that has popped into my head: Were Casey's answers to her depo from Morgan okayed? IIRC she took the 5th on about every answer except her name. Can't remember. There are so many different facets and angles to this case it all gets blurry. Anyone? TIA

I believe the trial is postponed till next year. And my sympathies to those who reside in the sunny state for their taxpayer share of this fiasco!

[QUOTE=Wagsy;9204776]Okay, so IF the bank DID reimburse Amy H for those checks was that under the FDIC regulations of a bank?
BTW, there've been a lot of good posts here over the past day. :seeya:[/Q
QUOTE]
I guess she had to pay since they were in her name. The only other recourse would be to claim the cards were stolen and used fraudulently and the banks would have investigated and prosecuted their daughter... and Caylee would be looking forward to her fourth birthday.

I wish you could have seen the bond hearing. It was a preview of things to come. The State's Attorney brought up many inconsistencies and you should have seen Cindy tap dance her way around them. You could tell she was making it all up as she was talking. That was when the stink of death became a rotten pizza and Casey wasn't missing because she was communicating through text messages.

They don't want the civil trial first because they don't want her convicted of a crime before the murder trial. Where has it been reported that Baez paid the bad checks? I hadn't heard that anyplace but here. Do we have documentation? Just curious.
You know now that I think of it, this is the price that the Ants have to pay for letting their daughter get away with these crimes for years. Stealing money from friends, stealing from them, stealing from Grandma. There was never any consequence or repayment on her part. It just escalated because they looked the other way every time and covered her debts. Well now there is one debt that can never be paid. You cannot bring back a life. The very first time they caught her stealing, they should have taken back the car and sold it for repayment. What a life of luxury that Liar had.

Wow!Just was flipping the channels and found NG covering CA for a change and WTF ????? How stupid is Bozo now??? Wants her to go to trial for the bad checks that she wrote on her own granny and friends??? Is he freaking nuts??? This loser broad is facing the DP and for all intent and purposes will get it and usually a lawyer tries to run the spin that his client is the nicest, most wonderful human being on the planet that would not kill a fly, they sometimes make them dress like complete school marms when usually they dress like hookers, they have 100 plus people get up on the stand for character witnesses and what is this moron trying to pull? She goes to trial first on these charges especially ripping off her own grandmother and her best friend and that jury is gonna want to send her to jail for life just for that???? Does he think that by doing this, that the murder trial will be delayed for many moons? This is what I think and I just caught the part where Bozo is trying to run the spin that LP was working for the defense when he bailed her sorry ass out of jail?? That he provided SECURITY?? No, he was keeping his beady eye on his $500,000 client and that is not security, that is insurance!!!
And he revoked said bail when she was arrested for the check charges and that was part of the bail contract, if she were to be arrested AGAIN, that bail would be revoked and he is well within his rights to do so and I am betting the minute he met her, he regretted bailing her out because his focus was to get her to cop where Caylee was, and she wouldn't so when she was re-arrested, he had his out and he took it and this too was on the contract. I told you all that Bozo is doing a horrible job for his client and she is too dumb to know that, he has her believing that she will walk free and that the ZANNY THE NANNY will cop to it??? He is bamboozled by her and I would not be surprised to find out that he has the hots for her, everyone knows she is a slampig, those pics of her speak volume, letting some dude in a bar grab her breast, she grabbing women's breasts and crotches, anything goes with her. But if he wants to place his client in a further bad light, who are we to argue??? Take it to trial and let that jury hang her for stealing from her own grandmother, will just show the murder trial jury, that this b*tch would do anything for herself, even murder her own daughter, it will be a slam dunk, the jury would already know that she ripped off her own granny, her parents, and her best friend and had no qualms doing it, so murdering the daughter that she claimed to have cramped her partying lifestyle is another self centered act ,it is all about her and what she wants at any cost.
SO she should pay with her life, it is over anyway, she is never going to boogie down at Fusions again, her whole life will be about an 8x10 cell, a dog kennel and then a gurney. But she truly thinks that Bozo is gonna get her off these charges, why not? When everyone else in her life has covered her ass, paid her bills, took care of her daughter, they bought her food and clothes, paid her cell phone bill, her car insurance, because her moron parents did this, she thinks that she can anyone to do her bidding, including lawyers and I can't wait to see the shocked look on her face when the jury says guilty of capital murder, she is going flip, she asked for meds the day Caylee was found, she gonna want 40 of them pills!!! This is will be the day of reckoning for her, she is gonna know that moment, that she will never be free again, and that the jury is going to sentence her to death and this is what it will take for this scum to finally see that some people don't live for Casey Anthony and the ones that did, cant' fix it for her ever again.

That is what I had understood from discussions @ the time that the fraud and neglect charges were put on the back burner because of the murder charge. It would come under mitigating factors in her sentencing, too. If she had no convictions of any kind, perhaps the sentencing would be less severe. Defense, for sure, doesn't want previous convictions (even if "previous" is just by a couple of months) to rear their ugly heads for the trial OR for the sentencing phase. IMO

Somebody got the them. Maybe there is no more $$ coming in for interviews--oh, excuse me, license on exclusive photos---so they have nothing to say? I can't believe that all of a sudden they are listening to cautions from Brad Conway. I gotta believe that, @ least initially, he tried to do right by them, most likely telling them to shut their mouths. And, seemed he went so far as to conduct the pc's to keep them out of the limelight in person. Too bad he had to say such idiotic things for them, tho.
And, I'm betting Baez had tried to get them to see that they weren't helping Casey's case @ all, from way back when, and if so, they ignored that, just as they allegedly ignored advice from Mr NeJames. They didn't shut up when Linda Baden came into the pic. The only recent addition to Casey's team (of note) is Ms Lyons. So, maybe she was the one who actually got them to see the light?
Cuz I also don't see the scenario--"George, you know, I'm just so tired of all the travel, and going over the same things over and over and over. And, even when people quote our statements directly from videos as we speak them, they just get it all mixed up. I think I'm just going to get a bunch of books and groceries and hole up in the house til time for the trial." Nope, don't see that would happen @ all. They appeared to have liked the travel and the limelight--so someone else convinced them to lay low.
OR, none of the networks are asking them to be on--and/or turning them down if they try to get on. And, maybe no reporters are bothering with them, even if they see the A's on the street. Not that I see the latter happening.

IIRC, the check charges were just put on hold after the murder charge was leveled. My understanding was that the check charges weren't going to go away, they just weren't going to bother w/them til after the murder trial. Guess they decided to get on w/them, as long as the "team" was going to put the murder trial off for as long as they can get away with it.

I'm not an attorney nor do I play one on TV. ;) But, I've watched a lot of tv and from what I've seen, an attorney cannot use a line of defense if he knows it is a lie. As an officer of the court, they are sworn to be honest. At least I think so anyway.

The trouble w/Padilla, IMO, is that all of his info comes from another party, whether it be Cindy, George, his FBI buddy, Tracey, etc etc etc. The people from whom he got his "inside info" would be the ones who would testify to what they told him, IMO. He got nothing, nada, zilch from Casey Anthony. Which, IMO, would be the only thing he would be able to testify to. Otherwise, all his "stuff" is hearsay from other parties. Just IMO, of course.

they seem pretty strong and definite about the whole thing. If it was hearsay couldn't Baez just object in court?

Thanks for the link. So, it was payment on ---but not full restitution? And, if I read it right, it indeed says this payment does not void prosecution.
Hi Amy :seeya:,
I read the linked documents also and I got out of the payment that it was for the full amount owed. It was an exact amount; $664.25. But, I didn't see anything that pointed to the payment voiding any prosecution either.

If anything, the payment points to CA's guilt. Way to go Bozo Baez! :hat:
