I have no idea lol! I will ask him though. He has a thing about getting rid of everythign and starting over though. Maybe it's his own personal quirk. Who the heck knows. I'm gonna ask him now though. If he did that would everything get saved? Like would I still have my favorites and everything? He can be very strange with his quirkiness. Don't even get me started on cords. He can't stand to see any kind of cord. Tv cords, video game cords etc... they all have to be hidden. He freaks out about stuff like that.
Oh and I don;t want Vista because I like XP. I'm used to it. Really it comes down to me not wanting to have to go back and look up all my favorites again. PITA!! Oh and the pics. I know, I know just save em to a cd. I just like my computer the way it is.
Okay, I am 110% with him on the cord thing! But yes, the uninstall, install method would save all your favorites and bookmarks, folders, pix, everything.
So glad Leroy doesn't know how to even turn a puter on!

I knew you were being sarcastic lol. I think probably a lot of Casey's friends probably questioned themselves as to why Casey would be partying with them while she has a daughter. A few years ago I had friends in college who had kids and still always wanted to party with me or go to games and places with me. There were times I questioned myself about their parenting. But over time I realized they weren't great parents and even some of them did support their kids financially but they really weren't settling down to raise their kids. I drifted away from those friends and I keep in contact with them ocassionally. I think maybe when Caylee was around her friends Casey played the cute young mom rotinue for them. I laughed looking at her cupid.com profile because Casey pretends to be loving hard working single mom and she even says in one part that she is the mom to her friends.

Yep I know they type. I babysat for someone like that. I stopped the same night that she told me she was going out to dinner with her dad and sister and she would be at my house at 9 to pick up her son. 11:00 comes and she's not here. This btw is a school night I'm talking about. I text her and ask where she is. She texts me back saying she was sorry and would be here soon. 1:00 comes and she knocks on my door drunk as a skunk and could barely walk. She didn't even pay me. She said she only had her debit card on her and would stop and get money for me the next day. I never seen the money and refuse to watch the kid anymore. She still once in a while texts me and asks me to babysit. I never answer her.
Thanks! I doubt liar is telling Bozo anything helpful. Wake up liar!! Lies will NOT get you out of this.
Now, are we forgetting that Cindy says Casey is very smart and is giving her attorney good advice? :D

ICAM Loretta! The fact that he still hasn't quit talking about this case, despite not being actively involved in it for months, just goes to prove that, IMO.
For whatever reason, LP just isn't someone I like or trust. Knowing the two of them are friends now is the primary reason I don't like/trust Richard Grund much either.

Yes I saw that LOL - I guess that means we need to talk about our dogs and kids in the new offtopic thread. I'm cool with it as long as we all continue to bond/relate and discuss this case.
I seen it when I went to post a news link (that you already posted) sorry about that. I didn't realize it. I was thinking who the heck would have complained but then thought maybe we really do stay OT for far too long. I thought all of us did it though:shrug: Who knows. At least now we have a folder to hang out in I guess.
Kathy Reichs: ..until they do chemical testing, and compositional testing, elemental testing.......the same batch, maybe try to match up the perforations on them, ...to me that's not particularly compelling. (Cites for example the scads of black trash bags that are similar in the grocery store.)
She will be ready for trial in March if she's gotten all the materials.
Kathy must not have followed all the cases on Forensic Files and Cold Case Files, etc, where that is EXACTLY what they have done time and again, regardless of the numbers of the products produced. Garbage bags. Pieces of headlight plastic. Tape. Paint. ETC.

There were pictures way early that showed Casey in a hotel parking lot. IIRC, it was to show Casey was alone (whatever day/night that was.) I can't remember if there was anyone else around--maybe some of her friends.
Thanks Amy. I didn't hear or see that before. Hmmm.....

Did all of you notice a new folder has been added here? It's a folder for everything else we want to discuss. I guess there have been complaints made that we were getting OT too often. So now there's a folder to chit chat in.

Don't get me wrong, I love this board, great features, and Deepwater does a great job of being here when you need her without being obtrusive, but I like the flow of conversation. This is a message board, not a courtroom, after all.
Deepy, you know I love ya! http://i43.tinypic.com/2mnln3r.jpg
But I thought EVERYONE said what a good mother she was and they never would have thought she would have harmed Caylee?
That's what I remember, too. Seems most knew she had a bit of a problem w/lying, but the ones I read interviewed all said she was a good mom, @ least when they knew her. Even Jesse Grund says she was a good mom. Her "new" set of friends seemed to have only seen her a couple of times w/Caylee, but I'm not sure they all tho't she was a good mom all the time, because some of them did bring up the point that she had taken Caylee to an adult party, and they just didn't think that was the right way to go.

I got the impression from her new friends that they weren't much worried about Caylee. I mean yeah they asked where she was but took Casey's answers and let it go. They even got to the point where they just stopped asking because they assumed she was with the nanny. I think as long as she wasn't around and they could party they really didn't care where she was. Just a feeling I got. They're young party kids. Why would they want to be bothered with a 2 year old?

I haven't found the chit-chat to be disruptive @ all. In fact, it's nice to know why someone hasn't been posting for a while. There has to be some light-heartedness when this is such a sad case, IMO. Besides, it's all I can do to try to keep up with THIS thread, I'd never make it over to the chit-chat one.
In fact, that is one of the reasons I like this board. One one I go to sometimes, ANY WORD that is not directly to the case can get you in a load of carp. It's even gotten to where posters can't put in some things that happened in their lives that have similarities. When you get to know the other posters somewhat, you can better understand where they are coming from in posts that don't agree w/your opinion.
And the posts about the loss of children (or other losses) ARE important, the ones who have lived thru this give us ever so much insight into why the families in cases maybe acting as they do---and they should know. It helps those of us who have been fortunate enough to not have those experiences to see the families in another light.

They never said what he did. The quote from the source was only "He knows what he did".
maybe that comment has something to do with the test ressults from where they compared Lee's DNA to Caylees in October. I bet LE knows who the father is.
I would like to know what $70,000 was spent on. I thought it seemed outrageous when he said it but who am I? I don't remember him using any high tech equipment or anything so what that money would have been spent on IDK. Like I said before, I don't like everything about him. This is one of those things I question but still think he's an okay dude.
He did have to pay for the divers he borrowed for Blanchard park. And, air expenses for him and (what IS his name? The one who is the only friend George has now. LP's partner, I think) and Tracey. Plus accommodations and meals. Whatever supplies they needed, snacks and water.

True but 70 K ? I don't know. I think that's a bit high but I really don't know. It could be true. Whatever amount he spent though came out of his pocket and for that I am greatful.

I have Carbonite backup and it has everything (except maybe favorites?) backed up. The ISP guy said I needed to wipe my computer clean and start back over from default. I tho't my XP would still be here? Anyway, everything is backed up (it does it continuously) but I am skeered to wipe it all out.

You may be totally right about those expenses for LP, Rob, and Tracey, but I thought the dive captain footed the bill for that search(es). DD recently sat for a girl. The girl was supposed to return @ 9am--which was fine, DD had wanted to go to the health clinic, and it would still be early. By 10:30, DD was asking me about the ex's grandmother's number, cuz the girl had NOT come to get her kids, had not called or anything. Come to find out, DD did not get a the girl's cell number. We couldn't think of the name of the grandparents of the kids. The girl breezed in about 1pm, wanted to "hang out" for a while, exchanged phone #'s---A LITTLE LATE, WASN'T IT? Not a single apology for showing up so late. DD has not answered any of her calls, either.

I think it was Cindy who said the same thing about Casey - that she was "mom" to her friends. IMO, that must have been the "old" Casey some of her friends have mentioned because it doesn't seem like the Casey we've heard about the last several months.
I have been thinking about what event or change in Casey's life may have happened to cause her to end Caylee's life when she did and I keep coming back to something one of Tony's friends (I think!) said in one of his interviews. When asked if Caylee had been to or slept over at Tony's a lot, he said she hadn't and then went on to say something about it not being an appropriate environment for a child. I assume he meant because of the drinking, possible drugs, partying, etc. On that, I definitely agree with him.
But, from what I gather in his interviews, it seems Ricardo didn't because Casey often had Caylee with her when she stayed overnight, went to parties with him and so forth. That, IMO, would have been a significant change for Casey. She went from being able to have Caylee with her while partying to having to choose between the two. I'm sad thinking of which one she chose.

This makes sense. Casey was put in a situation where she had to choose. That coupled on top of the rest of her world caving in.... mom and dad getting sick of her crap. The fight she had with Cindy, she probably knew she would be kicked out soon. All of that put together makes for a bad reaction from a sociopathic b****
I thought the searchers did it for free too.
The people in different locales also search for free for TES, but yet, TES does have expenses that are related to searches. While what LP was doing was on a much smaller scale, one could assume that he would have some of the same expenses as TES. IMO

Yeah. I just don't know. You would think LP wouldn't lie about something like that. Not when it would be so easy to prove (or not). I know he dished money out. I believe that it came out of his own pocket. Like I said, I am greatful for what he has done.

I am sure G&C did back off when Liar felt they were asking too much. We have seen how she manipulated and had tantrums when she knew it was taped. I cant imagine what went on behind closed doors. It's just too bad they allowed it to go on all those years. It would be nice to see G go elsewhere after he is released. I dont think the house is a good enviroment for him and i dont think C is good for him either. Interesting how in any other case you see friends and family rally in the beginning. Didn't see any of that with the Ant's. I think everyone knew enough to stay away. I thought that was very telling from the get go. MOO
I am sure the Ants had and idea she was not working or working where she said. I believe the Liar held Caylee over their heads, using her so that she could have free housing, and all the other fringe benefits she got from her parents because of Caylee. When her mother told her to leave, she had no use for Caylee anymore, hence the baby is dead.
However everyone seems to be missing my point, where was the Liar going everyday when she was suppose to be working. What the H was she doing, was she hooking, hanging out at a mall, bar, movies, day after day I would think that would get old. And when she was taking Caylee with her to the nanny, when we know there was none, what did she do with her. I think she was drugging her to sleep, Zanny the Nannyl, Xanax? Casey liked to play with words, example, I feel she is close to home, in my heart, mothers just know. This is one evil person:flamemad:

Grayfox, I'd like to think that Caylee was George's guardian angel Thursday night. Now I want to see him on his feet and fighting for her!
(But not holding my breath.)
I was just talking to my sister, Linda in NJ, she is very into this case. She thought it might be helpful to George if Lace Petersons mother, can't think of her name right now, talked to George. She seems to be handling her horrible experience in a way that has helped her get throught it, maybe she can share some of her thoughts with George and help him. I thought maybe John Walsh or Mark Class could also help. George needs to pull himself together and help Caylee get punishment for the person who did this to her.
As far as Mr. Grund is concerned, I liked what he had to say and I think he was trying to reassure George what Caylee is with God and is safe. That is what seems to be a big concern for George.

I asked my DH who as I stated before is a computer networker. He said all you have to do is format the hard drive and erase it. I asked how hard it was to do that and it's not hard at all. Just go to the c prompt and type formatc: and it will erase.
George said that his daughter was very good at computers, she could do anything. I wouldn't be surprised if Cindy had left her a phone message saying they found the car and they were going to find her too. She probably did it herself knowing the end was coming.

Good point there. Casey would have probably wanted something for turning Caylee over to them. Maybe if the Ant's realized or found out Casey wasn't working they could have used that aganist her to get custody of Caylee. Another thing that could have kept Cindy from adopting Caylee is maybe social services would want Caylee's father tracked down in order to sign away his parental rights. Maybe Cindy really knew who the father was but she couldn't bear the thought of sharing Caylee with another family.
Excellent point about the father. Even he she gave the name of the dead young man as the father, I am sure social services would contact his parents to protect their rights.

I've thought that too, but really, what kind of fight could Casey have put up that wouldn't have exposed her for a worse mother than originally thought?
At the time, there was no sign of abuse. Children's services here are very lax about removing children. Another little boy was killed last week and children's services knew he had already been abused and had broken bones and they didn't remove him from the mother. At most they probably would have set the Liar up in a subsidized apartment, put her on food stamps and WIC and welfare. It's tragic what it takes to remove a child from a parent that can't properly care for him/her. Last weekend, a woman a woman reported her car was carjacked with her baby in it. Turns out she wanted to party at a friends house so she left the baby in the car. She gave the car keys to a friend to go buy drugs. The friend went into the crack house and left the car running with the baby inside. He either gave the car in exchange for drugs or it was then stolen. The 16 month old boy was found in a woman's yard when she went to get the paper. The boy is in family's custody and they are working at reuniting him with his mother.

Hi Cupcakes. We're not missing your point, it's just that we don't know. Unfortunately LE did not ask that question. I know that she told everyone that she was able to work out of the office alot because all she needed was her laptop. Cindy said that once a week, Caylee would be dropped off at her office for her to bring home because the Liar was going to work. So that means that at least one day, she said she worked at night, other days, she may have left at 1 p.m. and returned after George left for work. George worked one weekend day and had one weekday off so maybe he watched Caylee that day. Unfortunately, with these people who make up their stories as they go along, we may never really know.

Where Casey actually was while she was supposed to be at work has been discussed before and after you started posting. We have no way of knowing where she was, but it's suspected that much of her time was spent piled up on G&C's couch; that she was doubling back to the house once G&C had left for the day. If we knew, that might be a clue, and maybe LE is looking at her phone records and hard drive long before the time of the crime.

Mark Lunsford is in Florida; now there's a guy who pulled himself together, endured rumors about the family, faced a horrific crime, gutted out a trial with dignity, and continues to work for legislation to protect children.
Grund speaks with forked tongue. He created and uses a Caylee site to remind us about the damage done to his family, and then out of the other side of his mouth reminds us about his own Christlike qualities.
How is that about Caylee?

What was LP's statement about the washing machine being replaced if i heard correctly? I lost the sound then the feed?
Hey Beem! LP said that the Ants replaced the washer and /or dryer after Cndy washed Casey's pants that had that awful smell on them. He was saying that the washer and dryer were the same color before that and that they were different colors after that. Meaning they were replaced. That's all that was really said about that.

Good post OS-I was thinking about that the other day-her comment about the little snothead. It broke my heart as i started to think if she talked that way about her....how did she talk to Caylee when nobody was around. I try not to let my head go there. I have my share of snow Yuck. Stay warm and safe.:rose:
That's a real concern. I can't help but wonder what kind of verbal abuse was going on among all the Anthonys that Caylee had to witness. She was the sunshine in that household from what I can tell. Such a pleasant little one.

Yes, and on top of that, she texted a friend that she was "really falling for this new kid" (meaning Tony L). Then Tony offhandly tells her that he has sisters and he hopes when he has children, they're all boys because girls are just too hard to raise. One little remark like that could have been the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. Also, Tony and his friends were all in school and had time to come and go as they pleased. They partied a lot at clubs. Previously, the Liar "stayed in" a lot and partied in an apartment so she brought Caylee and let her sleep during the party. This new crowd didn't have the time or desire to deal with a child. They were all between 18 and 21 with no attachments and a heavy clubbing life.

Yes, I've read those sad cases (I think I spend as much time on FL news anymore as I do on AR). Whether or not G&C could have adopted Caylee, or gotten even temporary custody is moot at this point because they didn't lift a finger to do so despite their own fears and complaints. They claimed poverty although they didn't seem to be too poverty stricken to enable Casey. Their priorities are every bit as skewed as Casey's.

Yes I agree. It seemed to me that Casey's new group of friends weren't concerned with having a little one around. I didn't hear of any of them offering to just hang out with Casey if she couldn't find a sitter. Nope they were about going out and partying with or without Casey. Casey knew to keep up with them something had to be done with Caylee.

He did have to pay for the divers he borrowed for Blanchard park. And, air expenses for him and (what IS his name? The one who is the only friend George has now. LP's partner, I think) and Tracey. Plus accommodations and meals. Whatever supplies they needed, snacks and water.
There were about four or five people in the entourage. So that's airfare, hotel, they had rental cars and Padilla rented a Winnabago type vehicle which was parked outside the Anthony house after he was thrown out. They needed a place to have coffee, sit, eat, and well, you know. When I saw Padilla at the park, he had an airboat and driver scanning the river, he had another boat there too. They were here probably seven weeks or so and gasoline was over $4 a gallon then.

You're right. They had money for new cars but couldn't try to get custody of Caylee. At a minimum they should have had guardianship so that Caylee could be on their medical insurance.
You know, just mentioning medical insurance made a lightbulb go off in my head. If nothing else they should have known there was no job because there was no medical insurance. Anyway, if the 'fluids' sat in the washing machine I could understand it permeating the darn thing, but not forever. The trunk, which right now, STILL SMELLS like decomposition understandably because the fibers soaked up the fluids. But..........she ran many a wash cycles, so it didn't sit, rotting.
This is really questionable info, ditching the washer and dryer because of What?? Only heard it from LP no other LE source brought it up. Don't tell me LE confiscated them? Don't remember that.
How did Leonard Padilla know what color washing machine and dryer they had before he got there? It seems to me that this family was under tight scrutiny immediately after July 16 when the Liar got arrested. It wasn't long after that when the webcam was set up. WESH news had a van there 24/7 very early on. Wouldn't we have heard if the washer and dryer had been changed out?

I think you are definately right about them being under scrutiny from the first day LE came to their house. Le didn't know if G & C were part of it, so.........
No reason on earth Padilla would lie about the dang washer and dryer. Now, if a new washer was bought out of necessity (especially when you don't have a pot to piss in) I wouldn't think the dryer fritzed out at the same time, so why get a new dryer too? Unless LE did take 'em ? I also Am confused about this.
Yes, I thank my lucky stars that my dryer didn't crap out last year until a whole five or six weeks after the washer did.
It looks like if LE had taken the appliances we would have heard about it. And it looks like with all the reporters, webcams, protesters, and yentas hanging around, we would have heard if new ones were delivered. (Who knows how LP knows what he knows? Maybe he just throws a dart (or one of those knives!) at a board and reels off some theory.
So the Ants are on the skids financially, but they have relatively new cars (from what I can tell), new washer&dryer(maybe), and new vacs. We know those don't come cheap. This seems like a classic case of "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".

But gaining custody or even adopting Caylee would've only been affordable for George and Cindy if Casey had signed off on it. If she wouldn't sign off on it, then they would have had to fight her for it in court. They most likely would have lost against Caylee's biological mother and ended up with some pretty hefty legal bills when all was said and done.

Grandparents to Set Burial Date for Caylee Anthony This Week
After a whirlwind of details have surfaced about the killing of Caylee Anthony and her grandfather’s attempts at suicide on Friday, the child will finally be put to rest.
The remains of the toddler will be buried after the date is set by George and Cindy Anthony, the grandparents. The Orlando Sentinel made the report today.
The attorneys for the senior Anthonys, through their attorney Brad Conway, report they hope to set the burial date this week. The attorney told the folks at NBC’s Today Show Monday morning that, “Burying Caylee -- that is one of the biggest things they need to do right now," Conway told Meredith Vieira. "They have been criticized for delaying the burial, and they have nothing to do with that."
Conway went on to say that it was time to “get on with that,” referring to Caylee Anthony’s burial. Caylee’s grandfather, George Anthony, continues to be under psychiatric care after his suicide attempt was interrupted by police on Friday after a note was found declaring his intentions.

Anthony Prosecution Team Files Witness List
Baez Requests Sanctions Against The State
A new witness list has been filed by the prosecution in the case against Casey Anthony.
Anthony is charged with the murder of her daughter, Caylee Anthony. Caylee was 2 when she was reported missing in July.
The state filed the witness list Monday morning. It included the names of more than 140 potential witnesses, including Zenaida Gonzalez and several members of Anthony’s extended family.
Meanwhile, Anthony’s defense attorney, Jose Baez, filed new court documents Monday morning. The documents asked for unspecified sanctions against the state for failing to furnish the defense team with evidence from two experts in the case.

George Anthony Won't Leave Hospital Today
Attorney Says Grandfather Searching For Closure
ORLANDO, Fla. -- George Anthony remained at Halifax Medical Center on Monday after a suicide scare last week.
Officials said they didn't plant to discharge Anthony on Monday.
The Anthony family's attorney, Brad Conway, said Anthony is feeling much better, but Conway said he needs to be able to properly say goodbye to his slain granddaughter.
Caylee Anthony disappeared in June prompting a major investigation that resulted in the arrest of Anthony's daughter, Casey Anthony. Caylee's body was discovered not far from the family's home in December.
"He's out of the woods, but he has a long way to go," Conway said. "The first step is burying Caylee."
George Anthony is recovering from a suicide scare.
"He does have that will to live and survive," Conway said.
After spending the weekend at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Conway said he's making progress.
George Anthony has been under the care of a physician since early Friday morning, when police said they found him at the Hawaii Motel on U.S. Highway 1.
Investigators said a suicide note found in his possession was a clear indication that he needed help.
"It suggested that he wanted to be with Caylee. You know, leave this Earth and go to the next life to be with Caylee, with God," Daytona Beach Police Chief Michael Chitwood said.
Conway said part of the problem is the grandfather of the slain little girl hasn't had any closure.
"In our culture, burying your loved one is one of the biggest steps toward healing, and they have not been able to do that," Conway said. "They need to take that step."
The family hasn't yet said when they'll hold a funeral.

I tend to agree. They were looking at a situation where it would have cost a lot, they would more likely than not lose, and their temperaMENTAL daughter would never have let them see Caylee again. I think they were afraid to risk it and tried to "work" with it...imo...

The comments that Conway has been making and how he's making them see to me to show he's starting to pressure Baez for release of the remains. He's basically like "enough is enough" when you hear him talk...

Sorry but i am not much help-I lost sound and then the feed-so i called it a night. The only thing i heard that was new was his claim that the washer or washer and dryer was replaced after C. washed the Liar's pants-if i heard correctly. Sound was gone right after i heard that so i dont know for sure if that's what he said or was repeating a question. Maybe a transcript will be available?
There is something else that has been bothering me. At some point, they changed the bed in Caylee's bedroom. In the pictures shown on NG, there is a bed which converts from a crib to a youth bed. It has blue bedding. In the pictures we have seen on this thread, it is a twin size bed with pink bedding.
Now maybe they changed the bed because Caylee was growing up. Or maybe they changed it for a more sinister reason. Just real curious.

You know, Good Ol' Garbage Loretta was on top of things way before the police were. She went to the Anthony house on trash day and took their trash and looked through it. That's how we found out that the Liar was sending emails to the little girl, Dakota. And, it seems there was a baseball cap in the trash and it was sliced or cut. That mysterious girl Annie, had a baseball cap like that. They're thinking it could be her's and while the liar was home, she sliced it with a knife. I heard that last night on TV but I can't remember which channel it was. Also, the garbage bag that Garbage Loretta took matched the bag they found in the woods. I believe MyFoxOrlando is the channel which followed Garbage Loretta and looked through and videotaped the trash. Next garbage day, G. Lorette went and took the garbage again and Cindy Anthony came running out of the house and grabbed the bag back. It was pretty funny to see on TV. Anthony's ex in question, father remains hospitalized
ORLANDO, FL (WFLX) - New developments in the case of the murdered Orlando toddler Caylee Anthony.
Attorneys are now working to get more information about ex-boyfriend Ricardo Morales. He's the ex of mother Casey Anthony.
Her attorney filed the motion last week wanting to know why Morales posted a picture on MySpace with a caption that made a reference to "chloroform". Someone did a search for the word "chloroform" on a computer in a home where Anthony lived, and trace amounts were found in her car.
Morales has been questioned by detectives twice before.
Meanwhile, Casey's father, George Anthony remains in a hospital following a suicide threat.
We've learned empty pill bottles were found inside the Daytona Beach motel room where Anthony was found Friday morning. A lengthy suicide letter written by George Anthony said that he had taken pills. Sources also said that he had been drinking when he was found by police.
The family's attorney say it was likely brought on by stress after detailed evidence was released about items found near Caylee's body. "George and Cindy have not reviewed that, that is my job. It is my job because they don't want to know every detail. This is very, very difficult," said their attorney.
George Anthony is still being held under Florida's Baker Act which means officials believe he could be a threat to himself.

Not sure about the bed itself, but I imagine the bedding had to be washed and/or changed on a regular basis because of the dogs. They apparently slept in the bed when Caylee wasn't there.

Let me ask you, if you were in a situation such as the Anthonys, with a missing child and people from across the country sent you cards of support and well wishes and prayers, would you just throw them in the trash when you received them. Not me, I'd have a nice box and put every "nice" card and letter in there and save it. I would have been reading those cards over and over again for support.
Again this goes to how the Anthonys pushed everyone away. Lee threw away all those toys because they supposedly smelled like smoke. They callously picked up flowers left for them and don't forget Lee's trashing of the memorial. Then they say that they get no support from the community. :flamemad:

Sure, FL may be different from AR, but Caylee would surely have been appointed a guardian ad litem at some point who would have borne much of the responsibility of presenting evidence to the court.
It doesn't really matter much at this point anyway, because G&C didn't lift a finger to see to Caylee's safety despite their own fears and concerns. Guess it was more fun for Cindy to b!tch about it to her co-workers and get whatever sympathy she could for her martyrdom. I'm confused because he got there towards around August 21 give or take, so how did he know what washing machine they had before that? But he states they were the same color now they are different colors - could it be they only got a new washer and not a new dryer? I would think that we would have gotten notice of an applicance truck or if they had put an old one out.
That lady who took the garbage, Loretta, (not our dear Loretta) she would have taken that washing machine if it was out there. :D
LMAO Can you imagine? Thank God that freak show is over at the Anthonys' house. Not sure how anyone could tolerate what was going on out there, and although George's outbursts are understandable, I think they were definitely warning signs of his growing depression, even though they seemed to go beyond the point of "irritability". It's amazing to me the number of times any of the Ants sashayed outside that house and confronted the mob or just out and out showed their asses.

Having a new car means nothing. If the cars were leased, (you can lease for2,3,4 or 7 years) you just turn your car in and get a new one, at practically the same rate and voila! new car. The washers and dryers bought on a revolving card, like someone said, $70 a month or whatever.
There is a saying in NY, sorry I will not repeat it right now, summing up the fact that you don't have to have 2 nickels to rub together, but that very same person living in a box (being sarcastic here) drives around with a brand new Escalade. Comprende? It's all show.
Atty's will take the case on Good Faith , working on an upfront amount, with payments on the rest. Not all, mind you, but some do. Cindy could have tried, OK. She didn't.
Now, as you know I've complained of suffering from CRS, and I have come to the realization that it's not really me ~ it's this case that has me screwy. Having said that, I believe it was NG who asked Perper or Baden about children who are given medicines to put them down when they aren't sick. The answer was no, it would not cause developmental problems. Since I just explained MO on CRS, now you can't ask me for a link!!
Yes, but people who are in the deep in the hole, shouldn't have car payments. I guess it's just me. I drive a 1995 so I don't have to have a car payment and I'm not in a hole. I treat my car very well and it treats me good too - that's why Zenaida Gator took it from me. I'm stuck here at work and can't get any information. Now, if I was out, I could look for it. It was a very good car. uh oh, OT.

I'm thinking that if more of my neighbors actually used garbage bags, that some of them would look like mine. (Of course, not everyone micro-manages their trash like I do. Caylee Anthony: Lawyer says family hopes to set burial this week
posted by halboedeker on Jan 26, 2009 8:47:00 AM
George and Cindy Anthony hope to set the burial of granddaughter Caylee Anthony this week, attorney Brad Conway told NBC's "Today" Monday morning.
"Burying Caylee -- that is one of the biggest things they need to do right now," Conway told Meredith Vieira. "They have been criticized for delaying the burial, and they have nothing to do with that."
The grandparents allowed the state and defense to do what they needed for the trial of their daughter, Casey, Conway added. Casey Anthony is charged with the first-degree murder of toddler Caylee.
"It's time now we get on with that," Conway said of the burial.
George Anthony remains under psychiatric care after writing a suicide note last week that he wanted to join Caylee. Conway said he hadn't seen the suicide note. The attorney called 911 and said he feared police would be too late in finding George.
Conway said he didn't think George was ready to be released. "He needs help to begin the [healing] process," Conway said.

Thanks for the links! So does Baez now think that Morales worked with Zanny? Or completely alone?
As much as the chloroform pic seems in poor taste, it strikes me that RM posted it in the same vein that he might have posted anything about GHB or any date rape drug. (Make that extreme poor taste, but seriously some of these kids are pretty trashy, and I don't know whether to feel sorry for their parents or not.)
I read on another board and may have posted a link, a theory that when Casey saw the chloroform poster on RM's myspace that it gave her the idea to research chloroform and making it to use in lieu of xanax or benedryl, etc.

This is the guy that thought it was okay to have Caylee in the bed while he and the mother were in bed. I think it's disgusting. I think that alone should have been cause to take Caylee away from the Liar. If a child crawls into bed with it's parents, that's one thing. But I think you're looking at the situation entirely different than it would have been. George & Cindy wouldn't have been trying to obtain custody, guardianship or whatever of Caylee AFTER the State had intervened. They would have been trying to obtain all on their own, without the benefit of having help from the State. At best, I think the court would have appointed a guardian ad litem to look after Caylee's best interest in the proceedings, but that's about all the help I think George and Cindy would have had.
And you're right. None of that matters now that Caylee is gone. However, unlike you, I do think George and Cindy did all they could for Caylee within the boundaries Casey gave them. I think they were afraid they'd never see Caylee again if they pushed too hard. As it turns out, they were right.

To me, it seemed like the communities support of the Anthony's was contingent upon the Anthony's opinion/belief on what happened to their granddaughter. IMO, the community, and the world at large, would have supported them if they'd believed Caylee was dead when everyone else did and if they'd believe Casey did it like everyone else does. Since the Anthony's refused to believe Caylee was dead until her body was found and they still haven't admitted Casey killed her, the public has been more apt to criticize them than support them, IMO.
George said that his daughter was very good at computers, she could do anything. I wouldn't be surprised if Cindy had left her a phone message saying they found the car and they were going to find her too. She probably did it herself knowing the end was coming.

Exactly WHAT is it that Lee does for a living? I remember quite some time back (in discussions of what happened to the computer) that someone (maybe not on this board, but somewhere) that Lee's job had to do with computers, and that maybe HE had done something w/it. Of course, I would think someone who is knowledgable about computers would not just crash it or erase it, because he would have to know that, in order for the information to be GONE, they would have to have time to overwrite all the spaces "erased." And, there wasn't time for that, for sure.
Anyway, I don't think I have ever read what kind of work Lee actually does. Does anyone know? Other than amateur detecting in his sister's case, of course. ;)

That's a good question Amy. I don't think it was ever really answered as to WHAT he does for a living. I'd be interested to know that. I thought I heard somewhere he did something for a sports team that involved traveling. Who the heck really knows? Oh and BTW I asked my dh about you formatting your hard drive while having Carbonite. He said even with that if you format your hard drive you will no longer have XP when you turn your comp back on. Why should HE feel uncomfortable ~ if the mother of the child is bringing this child into bed with them , he probably shrugged and said OK (mindless). If she would have said 'let me put Caylee to sleep on the couch', he would have known the perimeters SHE allowed, and went along with that too.

Yeah I did read that. My thought at the time was that Casey was practicing for her new job. That was after it was found out about escort services being searched on her computer.
Hey Beem! LP said that the Ants replaced the washer and /or dryer after Cndy washed Casey's pants that had that awful smell on them. He was saying that the washer and dryer were the same color before that and that they were different colors after that. Meaning they were replaced. That's all that was really said about that.
Wonder WHEN they changed washer/dryers? LP didn't go to the A house @ the very beginning, and the pants were washed then.
Unless the washer and dryer were replaced AT THE TIME he was in the home, wonder how he figures that? If they were scared of evidence that might be garnered from the washer/dryer, you'd think they'd get rid of them early on. George, being ex-LE would know the importance of that.
And, I know from experience--those suckers can just up and quit in the middle of a load!!! And, especially if the units are both "aged" it would only make sense to change out both of them if one went kaputz. If they didn't change them out right away, it could very well be that one or the other broke down. IMO
I wondered about that. WTH would you wash a pair of pants that smell like that?! I know our one cat peed all over my sons sleeping bag. Guess what happened to the sleeping bag? Into the trash. Why would you even try to wash something that smelled like death? IMO that's just GROSS
The TRUNK smelled like a dead body. IIRC, Cindy washed the pants and whatever other things she washed because they smelled like SMOKE. Just like she discarded stuffed toys sent for Caylee because THEY smelled like smoke, so she says.
Isn't that one thing you would make sure your grandchild who lived with you had - medical insurance. Cindy said that she paid the medical bills for Caylee so she would have known there wasn't any insurance.

P.S. going to look for that new folder since we can't "talk" here anymore.
Depends on the company and the job. Lots of places around here, especially places kids without an education get jobs keeps hours just under full time, so they do not have to provide benefits.

Of course I'm looking at the situation differently; I don't forgive G&C for not making some effort to protect this child when by their own words/admissions Casey was a sociopath. They complain about what they could have afforded while continuing to adorn their home and garage with crap. It has occurred to me that G&C wouldn't have been much more fit as parents than Casey, what with George's gambling, womanizing, and lying, and what with Cindy's vile nature; maybe that's the bottom line why they didn't make more of an effort.
At any rate, had they earmarked funds for Caylee instead of for themselves and for their ill conceived and ill attempted Casey Renovation Project, they could have seeked guardianship or temporary custody without any intervention by The State. There would however have been a homestudy at some point and DCFS may or may not have become involved.

IMO
I don't know and I have wondered if maybe LP just *thinks* they switched them out because maybe the washer is a different color than the dryer. Maybe the statement about the different color isn't meant like they were one color one day and a different color the next. Maybe he means the washer and dryer are different colors. With LP it's hard to tell what he means some times.

Ohhhhhhhhh, that is a good question...What WAS she fired for??!! Wasn't she also fired from the (Kodak?) job?
Josha Perper, that little cutie http://i40.tinypic.com/1zclo21.jpg
discussed the washing of the pants. It would most likely get rid of what was needed for testing. Weren't these pants also dry cleaned after the wash? I thought I heard that.
That is where she worked @ Universal Studios--not for US, but for Colorvision/Kodak taking pics @ a kiosk. Seems she lost that job after Caylee was born, IIRC, for spotty attendance. She was never fired from Universal, cuz she never worked there. I don't know, was the colorvision/Kodak the only job she ever had? Any of the others she told her dad about--when he went to check on the problems she had---he was told she had never worked @ those places.

Other than amateur detecting in his sister's case, of course. ;)
I thought that he manages/schedules sports teams. Travelocity Gnome maybe?

Lee Anthony in uniform.
LP said on, (what, NG? sure someone has the link up there somewhere) that the washer and dryer was a different shade of white or something, so they had to be new.
So...what is the deal with LP? Does he have some book of New Explosive Information ration cards, an he gets to dole them out once per week? I am so suspicious of everything from him these days.
I'm trying to figure out how much time LP was @ the A's for him to make such an observation. HE was relegated to the outside pretty much from the get-go, IIRC. Tracey and Rob Dick were in the house, but LP had to sit in his Winebago. Then, he rescinded bail, Casey went back to jail--and I don't believe he was ever welcomed back into the A's home. SO, if there WAS an exchange of washer/dryer for HIM to notice (even if only info from Tracey or Rob) it would have had to occur while they were IN the A's house, and you'd think the information would be---they have a new washer/dryer because they noticed them being traded out. IMO.
And, even tho the A's were spending a lot of time being chased by reporters, either outside their home, going to and from the jail, etc, I am sure there was some regular laundering going on--and from the time Cindy washed those pants and when LP arrived on the scene (which was a couple of weeks @ least) there would have been no need to trade out the machines---all the subsequent uses would get rid of evidence.

My thoughts of allowing Caylee in the bed with RM and her mother is awful. My husband left me when my daughter was (6 weeks old) a long time ago.
ITA And hopefully with counseling and the funeral behind him, at least George will begin to accept reality, and I do think he will gain more of the public's support if he will even just quit blaming Casey's friends for Caylee's murder.

I think you have it backwards. The Anthonys would not accept anyone who did not believe they way they did. They have criticized the public very harshly for assuming that Caylee was dead. You know, Cindy lambasted Tim Miller for looking for Caylee's body. There was no reason why the public had to be admonished by her repeatedly because we wanted Caylee to come home and that meant in death also. Think about it, everyone who tried to help them has been pushed away - Tim Miller, Mark Nejame, Padilla. If you didn't fall lock step in line with Casey is wonderful, you had stones thrown at you. I'm in the community and I did not like being told repeatedly that I wasn't doing enough to find Caylee. What the heck was she doing other than parading herself outside of her house putting up caution tape? Up until the day Caylee's body was found they were saying that the little girl at the Florida Mall could be Caylee. You could see it wasn't her and then they said because no on has come forward to claim that child as their's it was more proof that it was Caylee. They are well aware that the Florida Hotel which is right in the Florida Mall is full of tourists and probably 85% are International guests.
I guess I misunderstood about the color difference. I was thinking it was being said the set was a different color than the set in place now. It does make sense if he is saying the washer and dryer were the same color, but now one is a different color. That would set to ease posters' minds about being able to afford new both, lol!!! (j/k)
I agree that it would be nigh on to impossible for either a set or one unit being replaces without it being noticed, with all the activity there from the get-go. Unless they were able to put it in the back of the vehicle (which does have darkened windows) pull into the garage and change it out then. Still, they were FOLLOWED any time they were out in their vehicle, some reporter would have noticed if they had gone to an appliance store, and where they would have gone to dispose of the discarded unit.
My belief still is--LP would NOT have anyway of knowing about this--HE was not in the house long, and, once he and his team left, HE was NOT welcomed back into that house. IIRC.
AND, if they were going to get rid of the machine--they would have done it before LP came along. By the time he did, any evidence would have been washed out thru all the subsequents times the unit was used. IMO

Not sure about the bed itself, but I imagine the bedding had to be washed and/or changed on a regular basis because of the dogs. They apparently slept in the bed when Caylee wasn't there.

I KWYM. I was a member of a play group when my youngest was a baby. Everyone from the board sent birthday cards for his first birthday. I saved every one of them and made a poster out of them and had it laminated. That way he can have it when he grows up. I don't understand them throwing away cards from people.
It speaks volumes about the crowd Casey was running with.
I remember from one of the first document dumps that there was one friend who did question some of the things Casey did with Caylee or let Caylee do. Something about letting Caylee go in the 2nd floor balcony alone.
TonE's roommate's girl friend. Seems TonE and Casey were in the bedroom w/door closed, and Caylee was free to roam the apartment where there was access to the balcony.
Another concern (can't remember which friend brought it up) was that Casey had taken Caylee to @ least one, if not several of the parties that would be deemed adult-only and s/he felt that was irresponsible of Casey. S/he did say that Caylee was friendly with all the party goers.
So anyway IF Lee is some computer guy he would KNOW that unless you remove the hard drive from the computer and beat the crap out of it. More or less destroy it, LE will be able to retrive any information that was/ is on it.
Is there a hard drive on a lap top? (I know NOTHING about computers, lol.) In my house, DD has a laptop, DS had a desk top and I have a desk top. Now, DS and I each have one of the boxes (the modem?) and is that where the hard drive is? What about the laptop? Where is IT'S hard drive. It has to be in the little suitcase somewhere, I'd think.
Anyway, hers seemed to be a laptop. I was thinking that, the hard drive type of stuff would be on the modem of wherever she hooked up, but surely that can't be correct.

Good ole GLo! I'm not that impressed that the garbage bags matched in appearance. But matching batch numbers would be something. I'm thinking that if more of my neighbors actually used garbage bags, that some of them would look like mine. (Of course, not everyone micro-manages their trash like I do. But was it sooooooo wrong for me to want to buy a bunch of boxes of bags at Sam's Club, wrap them up all pretty, and leave them on the front porches of my subdivision for Christmas???)
Were they black with yellow ties? Maybe Zenaida is your neighbor.
Or it could be my sister. She gave me some hand-me-downs from her granddaughter for my ggranddaughter the other day. Black bag and yellow ties. Of course, she is blond with gray hair and very light complected but maybe she wore a disguise. LOL

Yes there's a hard drive on a lap top. It's inside of it. The modem is just for you to connect to the internet. We all have wireless internet here. I have a laptop, my oldest ds has a laptop and my daughter has a laptop. My dh has a desk top. That is actually a server for a website. All of our laptops are networked together and with the desktop. The printer is in the office with the desk top but we can print from our laptops. My dh can get any file he wants to off of our laptops by using the desk top. I have no clue how he does it though lol. With our laptops the modems are built inside but on the desk top the modem is external. Anyway all hard drives are inside of the computers.

The caption I read mentioned her finding flowers, dozens of cards from people all over the country and requests for media interviews in the trash. I agree with everyone who said the Anthony's tossing away cards of support would've been a crappy thing to do, but, to be fair, we don't know what kind of cards those were. They could've just as easily contained words of hate for Casey as they could've contained words of support for George and Cindy. IMO, they most likely were a mixture of both, which is why they were tossed.

Personally, I write Thank Yous for cards of condolence and support. And you're right, it does seem odd that the cards weren't kept. But then again, I'm very sentimental.
That's proper ettiquette, at least here in the South. Every card and letter and every bunch of flowers has to be acknowledged IN WRITING. Some people acknowledge visits and calls also. It has also become common to place a small ad in the local paper thanking everyone.

True story: The Caylee Marie Anthony tribute doll
A Jacksonville promotions company plans to sell a doll as a tribute to slain toddler Caylee Marie Anthony.
The Inspirational Caylee Sunshine Doll will go on sale Tuesday for $29.99.
The blonde-haired, 18-inch doll wears jeans and a T-shirt depicting a sun and the phrase: "CAYLEE SUNSHINE." The song "You Are My Sunshine" plays when her belly button is pushed.
Jaime Salcedo, president of Showbiz Promotions, said he is not selling a doll that looks exactly like Caylee because it would be too morbid and difficult for the public.
Instead, he said, they want to honor and respect Caylee's life by bringing awareness to her case.
"We want it to be a tribute," he said.
Salcedo said this is the first product his promotions company will sell that is inspired by the victim of a crime.
Salcedo said he plans to donate a portion of the proceeds to charity -- though he does not have an organization lined up yet.
Salcedo said he's waiting to hear back from several organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. He is considering donating $3 for every doll sold.
Asked about whether it's appropriate for his company profit on Caylee's death, Salcedo said he is anticipating critics.
"I think that that is going to come up," he said.
Salcedo said the public does not understand what it costs to make the doll, ship it, import it, and his company's expenses.

As far as letting the kid in bed with this guy or any guy it is scary, what if the guy was a pedaphile. Good God who know what other awful situations the Liar put that little girl in before she killed her. I am sure if C & G knew the things she was doing they would have found the money to take Caylee away from her. It would have been so easy to write one loving caring letter and have it printed by the hundreds or thousand and sent to aknowledge these good deeds. I am sure any of the foundations they were using would have done this at no cost. But why would any of us be surprised that no aknowledgements were sent, The Liar needs all that attention.

That's proper ettiquette, at least here in the South. Every card and letter and every bunch of flowers has to be acknowledged IN WRITING. Some people acknowledge visits and calls also. It has also become common to place a small ad in the local paper thanking everyone.
Oh yeah, I was raised to write Thank Yous for any gift for BDay, Christmas, anniversary, and condolences as well as flowers, memorials, covered dishes, personal visits, and taught My Little Love to do so also. Not just a verbal thanks, or an email, or a mention in a phone call, but a bona fide handwritten note. Funny, all of my nieces and nephews are geniuses, and they don't seem to be able to spell the words t.h.a.n.k.y.o.u. That does not go over well at Chez Lockhorn. Auntie Agoraphobia doesn't appreciate shopping and schlepping without so much as a how do you do?!

I just can't get into caring about the washing machine thing or the bed but I was wondering if anyone has heard any more regarding what LE are talking to Casey's brother about.
As far as letting the kid in bed with this guy or any guy it is scary, what if the guy was a pedaphile. Good God who know what other awful situations the Liar put that little girl in before she killed her. I am sure if C & G knew the things she was doing they would have found the money to take Caylee away from her. The problems as I see it is that she appeared to be a good mom and they had no grounds to take Caylee and the Liar was not just gonna turn her over to them because Caylee was her bread and butter.
No new news on Lee yet. I think we are all waiting to hear what he's being accused of. Should make for some good reading once that info is released.

It's nice to get a thank you card...makes ya feel good! My kids are the only ones in our family who send out thank you cards . Never received ones from my nieces and nephew, no matter the age. No use complaining though.
I'm sentimental too I have every card my HB ever gave me, and
I still have every card given to me by anyone for anything in the last 10 years or so. I have carp pots in the LR with glass on top ~ I just slide all the cards in there. One day  I'm going to clean 'em and reread 'em.
Yeah....ONE day!

I have wondered the same thing to about Casey was the doing the whole time she was supposed to be working. Many people believe Zanny/Xanax theories. A few of Casey's friends told LE that often Casey and Caylee would visit them during the day. Some of Casey friends are in college so maybe Casey and Caylee would go and visit them when they weren't in class or off class days. A lot of college students usually have a day or two in the week without classes. Casey could simply visited a friend when she knew what days they didn't go to school. Maybe Casey had friends who worked nights or swing shifts so that would give her and Caylee a place to hangout during the day. LE found fake emails to Casey from her fictious Universal Studios boss about night events that she had to worked for. Casey probably showed George and Cindy the emails she fabricated and they probably believed she had to work at night. Maybe there were days she stayed home with Caylee and then told them she had to work at night. I really do wonder what Casey did for two years while she was working.

Anyone watching Prime News on HLN? Such civilized discussion they have there!
Anyway, two things discussed were important: 1) whether or not George will be needed to testify and will he be ready. The consensus seemed to be that he will be needed to testify since he lived with both Casey and Caylee, was apparently the last to see Caylee alive other than Casey, etc. The mental health expert testified about how George will be evaluated to determine before he is deposed as to whether or not he is fit or malingering, and that the testing methods are well documented and presumed to be valid.
2) There was discussion about the importance of Ricardo Morales to the defense. The defense expert thinks that even if the Win Her Over poster was a coincidence, that all coincidences have to be examined. He pointed out that it would be foolish for the defense to blindly accept that the prosecution says that Morales isn't involved.
As for using Morales, it's going to look strange to us for the defense to switch gears from the Zanny defense, but I guess it's possible that the jury may not know details about Casey's claim about the nanny. Personally I find it hard to believe that with all the circumstantial evidence pointing at Casey, that RM would even serve as reasonable doubt.
The other point that was made was that the trial cannot possibly go forward in 2009 due to the large number of witnesses that must be deposed and depositions examined by the opposing sides.
Looks like our OT thread will get mighty bulked up before the trial if that's true!

You can both kick my butt if I'm wrong, but...she's right.
If the Anthony's didn't pull this crap, that everyone was crazy but them, and stopped denying what was right there in their faces......then their community, hell, the world would have seen them sympathetically, as the victims along with Caylee, so to speak. Instead, every word was a denial, and lie lie lie. In doing so, THEY alienated their community, yes, but if they would have acted normal and started door to door searches instead of 'biting the hand that fed them' it would have been different. People would have embraced them as we embraced Sharon Rocha and despised the Petersen family for denying and lying lying lying.

Thanks. Computers confuse and bamboozle me, I HATE to have to use them @ work. I play a lot of games @ home, :D
I was just having trouble thinking that possibly what they would be looking for on a laptop would be left with wherever it was used--some info @ the A's, some @ TonE's and other places. Glad to know it is all right there in the little ol' laptop.
So, the computer search records--are we talking about BOTH the computer @ the A's and the laptop? (Like I said, dumb, dumb, dumb when this comes up.)
That's a lot of work lol. Here in the East we don't know the first thing about proper etiquette lol. If we say thank you after opening a present that's good enough. I had a friend who lived in the South. I went to visit his family and after my trip I got a thank you card in the mail from his mother. I was shocked lol. I told him about it and he told me that I had to send a thank you card back to her for sending the thank you card lol. I actually believed him until he told me he was joking.
Thank you notes are the norm here, @ least w/some. Not the youngers of today, tho. I guess they text their thanks? LOL. Just today, Mom called for me to approve giving my address to the lady from the church who is writing thank you notes to all that gave donations to the church in the name of a fellow who died last month. I am sure, if I would go check my mail, that I would also find one from the family, thanking me for donating in their dad's name.
We also have the general one of an ad in the newspaper, and in the church bulletin. Some of them have the saying about maybe you brought food or flowers, or just your presence........with "the Family of John Doe." Wonder if the A's will do anything, even thru Conway, thanking people who supported and were helpful to them?

Yes, I cannot imagine leaving a 2 year old alone with access to a balcony. Not watching her in the backyard where there was a SWIMMING POOL??!!! Are you kidding me??!! My 4 year old STILL puts stuff in his mouth from time to time. Ugh..... how can you care so little to not watch your baby?
Even without a ladder, a wee one who is curious can find things to climb on to see what is over that wall. DS was a climber--of anything or everything from the time he could manage to--the top of the fridge, over the fence, up a tree....CONSTANTLY. Caylee sure looked like she was an active kid, and I'm sure curious was in her makeup--to have learned all that she showed takes curiosity.

So, it is a COMPANY, not the A's who is promoting this doll. He hasn't decided what charity will receive the profits, but it does not list the A's on the list of organizations he has been in contact with. To listen to the folks on tv, you would think this is all the A's idea, and that THEY are planning to profit on this.
No new news on Lee yet. I think we are all waiting to hear what he's being accused of. Should make for some good reading once that info is released.
They want to talk to him, that does not necessarily become that he will be accused of anything.
My thought is the buzzards are swarming. This is an infringment of Caylee's rights in my opinion, three dollars to a charity that is unknown at this time but the doll goes on sale tomorrow disgusting.
Jaime Salcedo, president of Showbiz Promotions, said he is not selling a doll that looks exactly like Caylee because it would be too morbid and difficult for the public.
I guess he thinks since it won't be EXACTLY like Caylee, it is alright? He wants to bring awareness to her case. Uhmmmm.....Mr Salcedo, I think MOST people are already aware of Caylee's case. Perhaps they should make a doll that looks like one of the little kids who DOESN'T have NG and LKL and GVS and Dr Phil to bring attention to their cases.
except from my hubby and thats because he would feel hurt if I didn't save them. I am a person who does not like clutter so the faster I can get rid of things the better.
I had SCADS of cards, especially Christmas ones from acquaintances. I try to go thru them, keep those w/personal notes, from immediate family. The rest, I tear the front off, and give that to the pre-school or the church as kids are always doing projects that they can use them for.
I don't expect that the A's would keep all cards forever, but geesh, this happened early on in the case, you would think that having those cards where they could look thru them, or @ least be reminded that people care would bring comfort. But, each to their own. Like someone said, some of those cards could have had a negative tone.
http://www.prlog.org/10172611-the-caylee-sunshine-doll.jpgWell I guess the eyes are blue and the hair is light but this is a money scan and I hope no dolls are sold.
Me,too. I hope this project goes so belly up that he has to close his doors.
Salcedo said the public does not understand what it costs to make the doll, ship it, import it, and his company's expenses.
I don't know what this has to do with the price of eggs. I didn't see anything in the article that was hitting him on the PRICE of the doll--seems like a lot of dolls go for that. Or, where they were criticizing how much of each doll goes to charity. So, what does our understanding of his costs have to do with anything? I think he missed the boat--the criticism won't come from these 2 issues, it will come because of just what he said--it is MORBID and difficult for the public, whether the doll is an exact likeness or not. THE NAME of the doll puts it right there. IMO

It freaking has CAYLEE's SUNSHINE on the shirt, and sings YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE which Caylee has been seen singing on reports for 6 months. And, there is NOTHING that relates to Caylee? You must think the public is STOOOOPID!!!!!!!
If this is a doll that is for missing and exploited children everywhere, ONLY, you would NOT have Caylee's name, nor what is pretty much considered Caylee's song on the doll. I hope that NO ONE buys your doll, and that your company goes belly up on this project.
How about a Connor Peterson doll? Or an Elizabeth Smart doll? Or a JonBenet Ramsey doll? HUH? They are poster children of the missing and exploited every bit as much as Caylee Anthony. Or, how about a Trenton Ducket doll?

Congrats on the many with the finding of the jobs. As I have posted before I have been "eliminated" after twenty one plus years of service. Hope this board brings good luck to me. There is a slim chance I can continue with the same company but while waiting in Personnel today on questions about my severence package a lady who had been there 19 years told me she took cut in pay to go to the company I was hoping to get hired on to. Grrrr. She got the job I had hoped for BUT that tells me she knows more than I do. Time to take the severence and jump ship huh?
I honestly can't wait for the "whole Story" acording to Jose BS. Looks like I may hvae some time off to watch the trial if it is televised.
Since the th's seem to think the trial won't take place in 2009, I sure am hoping you will have found your job by then!!!! Geesh, I was sure hoping for SOON, cuz all the suspense is killin' me!!!! Not that all the questions I have will be answered by the trial. The prosecution and defense both seem to leave out some of the issues I am curious about, cuz they focus on what they want to use to prove their side of the case, and don't have to use all the little details that drive some of us nuts.
I'm an archaeologist, not a lawyer, lol!
But I get the impression that he could be called as a witness without a subpoena (he is still on the list), but to be subpoena'd gives protection. Because if you get subpoena'd, you can't take the 5th, right? So you are protected on anything you say on the stand since you don't have protection against self-incrimination,
akh, doll guy is on Nancy Grace:flamemad:
The subpeona is what ensures you will show up. Naughty, naughty, naughty on anyone who tries to not go to testify after having been served a subpeona. I think, you can take the 5th no matter what got you there. It is helpful, I think, if you have your lawyer with you if you plan to do that.
If you are testifying under subpeona, and you admit to complicity in the crime, you can be charged for that, unless you had a plea agreement about it.
They take depositions of people who testify. Get your side of the story, see what you will be saying on the stand. If you testify differently than your subpeona, the lawyer can certainly point that out.
missin and exploited childrern have turned him down. the doll does not even look like caylee. He should to so to canada or south america and unload those things imo sara
It's not supposed to look like Caylee, according the Mr Salcedo---that would be morbid and upset the public. I guess using her name and the song people connect w/her is bad enough.
I have to go to sleep and having a hard time keeping up with threads. Please answer 2 questions when you have a chance
Do we still think Casey acted alone?
Do we yet have info on Caylee;s read biological father? sorry if the printing looks wierd it has not been normal since I had it fixed. TIA sara
I don't know about "we" but I still think Casey acted alone, @ least in the murder. Am not sure how and what Lee was involved in after the fact, but I'm betting he was, somehow.
I don't know that anyone in authority (ie:LE, FBI, forensic teams, etc) are even looking @ the bio dad. Personally, I don't think the bio dad has anything to do with the murder or the coverup.

What about George's testimony from the grand jury? Can that be used?

Cindy is probably in charge of the arrangements, but until she gets some idea of when the defense plans on releasing the remains, I doubt she can do much in the way of planning it.
I've really been frustrated at the defense being able to look over Caylee's remains at all these past couple of weeks, but, after thinking about it a bit more today, I'm thinking it may have been a good thing to have happen in the long-term. If they hadn't been given access to the remains themselves, then I feel sure Baez would've pulled one trick after the other out of his hat before or during the trial about the prosecutions possible mishandling of the evidence. Although I still hate the thoughts of little Caylee not being buried yet, I think letting them review her remains will actually help the prosecutions case in the end. That, IMO, can only be a good thing.

But I thought EVERYONE said what a good mother she was and they never would have thought she would have harmed Caylee? I agree people did say that she was a good mother before all this. And I don 't agree with the other poster that because she did not have a job it would be easy getting custody of Caylee. IF that were the case any mother without a job would lose custody of her children. And we know that does not happen. I think it would depend on what else Cindy had on her.

That's pretty much how I feel about both issues too.
What about George's testimony from the grand jury? Can that be used?
I think facts (like scientific procedures) can be stipulated to, but I think testimony has to be direct and the witness must be available for cross examination.
What about George's testimony from the grand jury? Can that be used?
That's what I wondered, too.
Except, I think there is something about the other side being able to "cross" the testimony. In the Scott P case, the information from little old Mrs whomever about seeing Laci walk the dog near her house was not allowed, even the depostion because the other side would not be able to question her about it. Maybe that would be the case here, too?
I imagine the prosecution would be looking for anyway to get George's info into testimony without him actually having to take the stand, if they could. I'm thinking that, if what he has to offer is seeing them go to work, the 16th, there are MOUNDS of other evidence that can be used to prove Casey guilty without his testimony.

They were treating us like fools because we did not support their idiotic rants. The only people who supported them were the Kid Finders people and they are the last people who should have been involved. If it hadn't been for them, perhaps George would have been in a better situation instead of having these people feed him a line of BS. George was being used as a means of drawing money into this organization.

No, Gator, I don't think I have it backwards, but I will conceed that it may be one of those things that works both ways. The public largely rejected the Anthony's for not believing or seeing things the way they did. In turn, the Anthony's rejected the majority of the public for not believing or seeing things the way they did. It was/is a no win situation, regardless of which side of the fence you are on. It's just that, for me, anyway, the Anthony's loss in this situation has been far greater than anyone elses who has been involved in this case, be it the public, or people like Tim Miller and Mark NeJame. That isn't to say I don't feel bad for all the other people who have been involved in one fashion or the other. I do. I just think the Anthony's have had it much worse than everyone else has because at the end of the day, we can shut off our computer or television or whatever and leave it all behind. They can't. I agree. A TRUE waste of their monetary resources since EVERYONE, even the least legal-technical of us all knows that FIRST there is a crime investigation, THEN the "defense" can do their own. They could have all stayed in the comfort of their own homes/offices/classrooms until they heard whether or not the defense would be allowed on the crime scene WHILE THE INVESTIGATION WAS IN PROGRESS. Then, when the ruling came down (that they all expected, I am sure) they could have made plans when to congregate.

Oh, I'm betting that about anyone whose name has come up relating to this case has an attorney. If they aren't out looking for one, I betcha there are lawyers contacting them. Probably the marine guy, the people who were from Casey's past whom she mentioned, probably even the parents of those people, as some of them were asked if THEY knew their teenage knew Casey, etc. I'm betting ONE field that is NOT seeing a fall in business in the Orlando area is the lawyer field!!!!!

I think if the Anthonys had just said they were going to stand by their daughter and hope for the return of a live Caylee and being somewhat dignifed and gracious, the public would not have been so venomous. Also I won''t go into detail on it, but Cindy outright lied and lied on several occasions. And I think to have the Anthonys blaming everyone but Casey and slamming those who looked for Caylee it put them in a very negative light. Cindy in my opinion did more than just try to believe in her daughter, she tried to cover up and restate the evidence. The other way to put it is...... she lied again and again. She also turned against anyone who would not support and lie on Caseys behalf. I will probably take heat for this but I think part of what has put George where he is , is the situation with his daughter obviously, the fact his beloved granddaughter is dead and that while he believes in his heart that Casey had something to do with it, at least if his LE interviews are any indication, Cindy has tried to convince him otherwise. And I think it must have been very hard for him to want to tell the truth and know the truth and live with a woman who wants the total opposite. I think justice for Caylee is the furtherest thing from Cindys mind, she just wants Casey to get off period and George I think being a former LE officer wants the truth. I know the suicide note says he thinks Casey is innocent, but his interviews completely contradict that. I think if he had a kinder, gentler, more compassionate wife it would be easier for him to get through. Okay you guys can come at with your guns loaded but that is just my opinion.

Hey! Where ya been? Your post is pretty much what Kimberly Guilfoyle (sp?) said last night on Geraldo, and I agree. Do we think there are any attorneys left to be hired in Orlando? If I was RM, I'd be front and center post haste with my class schedule, work schedule, etc. Oh I worked all weekend and was watching movies at night, rented Burn After Reading and the Duchess, both of which I enjoyed. So many posts, no way I will catch up. Hi to all!
This is strictly my opinion. No way they are looking at Lee for anything except for after the fact.I don't think he would help Casey kill his niece and in my opinion since they have her pings I think she dumped the body unless they have Lee's fingerprints on the bag or tape, I don't think he helped her dispose of the body. I think it was something after the fact that he got rid of or tampered with, just my opinion. But as to her having an accomplice on the murder, I just don't believe it. And let me state for the record that I think this Ricardo Morales thing with the Win her over with chloroform will go nowhere for the defense unless they can place the child in his custody, along with Caseys car and put him in the Anthony house in those crucial days. I think it more likely Casey got the idea of looking up chlorform to see if it was deadly after seeing his little joke ad. I mean why would Ricardo Morales want Caylee dead? As a juror I want a nexus not just some joke ad on his computer to acquit the liar.
I agree. I don't think Ricardo was so besotted by Casey Anthony that he would off her daughter so he could spend more time w/her. He probably saw her like the good-time girl she seems to have been. She's got a kid that will get in the way? No problem. Pass on Casey and find someone unencumbered. I have never read or heard anything that would point me in the direction that he was heartbroken over not being w/Casey anymore. You'd think if he offed a child in order be with the mom, and the mom moved on to greener pastures, he would be a basket case--he'd be moping and moaning to all the friends about how much he wanted Casey. In fact, wasn't he already on to his own greener pastures?

This is just an opinion, but I gathered from the unleashed lawyer guys, that the defense may try to jump on Ricardo M because of the picture about the chloroform on his 'myspace', that maybe he had posession of chloroform and actually Caylee could have been affected. I know very well this is not true, and that caysee is a cold blooded murderer, but I think RM should have a good attorney. Just an opinion. :(
I agree RM needs an attorney. He more than likely has one right now. I think he probably put the chloroform pic up to be funny or something.

I agree and good point. No way this guy would want to do away with Caylee, but the defense laywer on NG threw that tidbit in that the defense may put that spin on it. jmo Yeah but if I was the prosecutor I would point out that Casey may have been made of aware of chloroform as an agent of knocking someone out through Ricardo's litle joke ad. I heard one lawyer say on JVM he just thought the ad was odd but I work with young guys and I think it is not that weird that young guys would find that funny. You know they have sick senses of humour. It totally sounds like something the guys at work would laugh at. And you can bet LE combed over his comp and if they found nothing else unusual they cleared him. Didn't Ricardo take a lie detector test along with Jesse Grund? I have a question I know lie detectors can only come in with approval of both attorneys, but it is my understanding that if Morales has an attorney if his attorney and the prosecutor agree it could come in that he took a test and passed. I don't think Baez has to consent to it because Morales is not the defendant and not his client. Am I wrong on this?

I agree RM needs an attorney. He more than likely has one right now. I think he probably put the chloroform pic up to be funny or something.See no one on here looking at all the other evidence is going aha Ricardo did it that ad proves it. So I think the jury may have the same feeling , it is little joke, so what?

George's grand jury testimony will absolutely come in. And he will probably have to testify at trial. I don't think his troubles will allow him to escape testifying at all and I am sure he knows that. And actually the little old lady who the defense found who said she saw Laci died or something didn't she? I think I recall that. It has been a while but typically grand jury testimony comes in. Which i am sure George is thinking about, because with that testimony which was said to be damaging to Casey and the LE tapes of his interview, he won't be able to get up there and say, "What smell? You mean the pizza smell? Thought nothing of it at the time." So I am sure he knows he can't go back on that without really perjuring himself and it is going to hurt Casey. I am sure that is probably one of the things that is going on in his head. I know I would dread testifying against a family member.

It's not supposed to look like Caylee, according the Mr Salcedo---that would be morbid and upset the public. I guess using her name and the song people connect w/her is bad enough.
Okay...Im not for the doll. Maybe they mean well but lets face it-its disturbing to us and we just know her thru the media. Its too soon for this. Think about the family. I hope to God they are not the ones pushing it. Caylee has other family that loved her. This case gets crazier by the day.
Does any one know what Casey said when she heard George her dad had tried to commit suicide? NG said it was a secret! Since they didnt get along, I figure she doesnt really care. She has destroyed alot of people because of her selfishness.

You are right, Mu, about the young guys at work. By asking around, I'm finding most young people think the ad is funny. Not just the guys either ~ the girls even look at it like a stupid thing, not sick. Sad, huh? I can almost see the jury rolling their eyes at it, too LOL. Unless they find something else really to connect him, it's thin at best.

Greta has just put out the breaking news that Ricardo Morales has been cleared. He met with them, and he's out of the loop.
Lee's atty was also on. Says Lee knows Casey has told lies before, but does not believe his sister did this. That statement speaks volumes because if Lee had any kind of covering up for her, he wouldn't have his atty up there saying this. When asked by Greta who Lee thinks did this, what happened, he says Lee does not know, and despite those previous lies, does not believe it was her. He is distraught over Caylee's death and George's suicide attempt.
The guy with the Caylee doll says he went the The National Center for Missing & Exploited children to partner for the charity donations. They want nothing to do with it, as, he said, they do not promote any one child.......He's a snake and a liar, clear as day. She also stated for the public's info, the Anthony's have nothing to do with this doll.
Transcripts aren't up yet kids............Well at least Lee's lawyer is not up there saying "He thinks the nanny did it." I would not expect him to say publicly that she did it or that he thinks he may have done anything to interfere but LE seems to suspect him of something. I can't quite put my finger on it, except for maybe Lee was on the phone with the private investigator that day and they think Lee led him to search there. I can't quite figure out what else it is, unless he talked to one of the witnesses and tried to convince them not to testify to something... I don't quite know but sure am curious.

I was thinking of Casey's interviews with the police and how you know those are coming in. I have not heard one thing about LE getting those interviews improperly not even from Baez and he whines about everything. !So really no matter what other scenario comes in, the jury is going to see lie after lie after lie getting disproved with this witness list. So lets say the defense tries to put it on Ricardo or god forbid the meter reader or whoever, the jury is going to notice she does not mention either of these guys in her interviews . So how is Baez going to combat that? Also, I know that her likeability or lack thereof should not come in, but can you imagine how much the jury is going to hate her for waiting 30 days and for partying and shopping while her daughter is missing.???I mean let's be honest , if she was shown to be a scared, distraught mother who was kind, gentle and honest in her life, you might get a juror who wants to give her the benefit of the doubt on some of the evidence or a juror who wants to believe any defense spin. If you liked her as a juror you might say, "Just give me something , anything to hang my hat on to acquit." Casey is not going to have that going for her. Just like Scott Peterson.

Even Lee could have penned a Thank You for them, for goodness sake, and had a full page ad in Florida's major papers thanking everyone. They probably wouldn't have even charged them...if things were different!
That Caylee doll is wrong...someone should kick that guys a**...Tribute doll MY a**.....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is more like it.Is this doll called the Caylee Anthony doll? I would think if so the Anthonys would have a case to make that they could not use her name. Athletes and actresses sue all the time for their name and likeness. So while it is obviously not Caylees likeness, it is her name they are using. I would sue their butts off. This is just sick and this guy going on the NG did not acquit himself well. He could not name a charity because no one would have anything to do with something so sleazy but he could not even name an amount because he does not want to commit to it . When asked why he was doing it, he should of just said "Oh to make money off of tragedy why else?Because we are a bunch of greedy b**t****s. The Lee stuff is interesting, to say the least. When I first started catching up on the info in this case, I noticed some comments from Lee that made it seem like he was already sick of Casey's lies and so forth back when all of this first started. It seems he accepts that she is a liar and a thief, so I wonder why he still hasn't accepted that Casey most likely did kill Caylee. All of the evidence seems to point in her direction and only her direction. I don't know. Maybe it's just something he doesn't want to believe yet.

My thoughts of allowing Caylee in the bed with RM and her mother is awful. My husband left me when my daughter was (6 weeks old) a long time ago. While dating, I never introduced her to one man except the one I married. The men I date were aware that I had a daughter and that she was my priority. But it is hard for me to place the blame on RM, he isn't a parent. The mother of Caylee and I use the term loosely should have known better.:cuss:

LP's comments on NG tonight:
GRACE: OK. Leonard Padilla, bounty hunter out of Sacramento, you`ve been with the family. I think that they are very firm in their knowledge that she is not going to get bond.
LEONARD PADILLA, BOUNTY HUNTER: No, she`s not going to get bond. Those charges will prevent it. And so far as -- as far as the child being buried, Cindy`s calling all the shots on that particular situation right now. Not even the attorneys are involved.

Just some thoughts here, basically me thinking out loud.
Gator, I went back and looked at aerial pictures of the area, and there is a small lake, pond on the other side of the woods from where the remains were found. So that could suggest that there may have been gators that traveled the area at times.
Lee Anthony--I went back and listened to the interview audio that he did with LE. He came across at times as being flippant but there were other times when someone listening could tell that he was angry. He did tell LE that Casey is a known liar and thief.
The burial--Actually that is something that they really can't plan until the defense lawyer releases the remains which is something that he likely won't do until all the toxicology reports are back. That way they know if they need to redo any testing or even do any different testing. Forensically speaking it is best if they can do that on remains that haven't been tampered with. I know that I watched an interview with the A's attorney and he said at that time that he was expecting the release to come in early February.
George--poor George. I do have to admit that I feel a little sorry for him.
I think that is it for the moment...back to sleuthing and seeing what else I missed while sleeping.

My hubby, Joe, starts his new job today. In the past two years he has been laid off two times, which means he is always the new guy and when they have lay offs he goes first.
He has taken large pay cuts and I just keep cutting back. I have found that most of the things I have cut we really didn't need. Gas, when it was 4.00 plus was a killer. I am sure by the time this case goes to trial you will be working again. On NG they were saying it could be two years. I guess the proscution does not care because they have the Liar in jail so she can't go anywhere and they have more time to develope the case against her.
Maybe you should take the severance package if its a good one and then work as a temp. Then you can be home when you want to be home. Also I think u can collect unemployment benefits. Good Luck

Let's hope she really did it, and it wasn't just putting the little symbols on the websites. I hope she sues for him to NOT be able to put Caylee's name on the doll, but not to win $$$ in the lawsuit, cuz you know exactly whose defense fund that would go to.
