More than one poster expressed this concern, on this and other boards. When it looked like Caylee would never be found, that is what many feared--that Caylee was put someplace where she would never be found because of gators. There was water there, for sure, even before the tropical storm hit, according to the meter reader's description. So, it might just be bad luck on Casey's part that there were no gaters there. On the other hand, if this WAS an area they hung out in as kids, it might be one area where the gators aren't known to go.
Could be that Casey EXPECTED gators to come up, and that would be why she was so sure Caylee's body would not be found.I agree, that is probably what she thought, even though I don't think caysee is that intelligent. But, swamp, water, deep south = gators. jmo :(

I tried to edit, and it wouldn't let me. I was also thinking, maybe Casey tho't the gators WOULD come to that area. She acted like she was pretty darn sure Caylee's body wouldn't be found. I wonder, speaking of her statements, about the clothes. Why would she think the clothes would never be found? I don't think the gators eat clothes? I mean, if there were clothes nearby that were not on the body, would they eat those?
Normally a gator wouldn't eat clothing that was just nearby. But there have been cases in Florida that the only thing they found after someone was put into a gator pond was the metal, like a belt buckle or money clip. But if the clothing that they found had actually been on the body when it was placed there then that would tell me that she just assumed that there were gators present and that they would take care of it for her.

I've read that the gators only eat live or fresh flesh. I think it was mentioned in one of David Lohr's articles; maybe the one where he interviewed that airboat search and rescue team leader. (Or did I dream this?)

Found David Lohr's article, but it doesn't mention flesh; guess I read it somewhere else, or made it up:
David Lohr: "Given the water level and the presence of alligators, do you think there would still be something left to find?"
Robert Dummett: "The alligator situation is not something I am personally concerned with. If they were to dispose of a body, they would most likely dig a hole and an alligator does not dig for food. It is going to look for its prey in the water or floating on top of the water. I don't think alligators are a problem."
David Lohr: "You don't think someone would purposely dispose of a body, in a specific area, with the intent of it being consumed by an alligator?"
Robert Dummett: "I think it is highly improbable. Chances are they would be concerned about someone else finding it before the alligator does."

It is very possible that he said that but we always left the dead cattle in the field that were hit by lightning and so forth because we knew that they would eat them. When they get hungry anything is fair game, including small pets and children.

This looks reliable, so I guess I dreamed that about fresh flesh:
iii. Feeding Habitats
1. Alligators are carnivores
2. Young alligators eat insects, snails, frogs, small fish, and invertebrates
3. At a length of 6 feet they feed mainly on fish, turtles, snakes, water birds and small mammals
4. Large alligators readily eat carrion (dead flesh) and in fact prefer it to fresh meat
5. They are opportunistic feeders and will eat almost anything including such objects as sticks, stones, fishing lures, and aluminum cans

Sigh ~ ~ ~ She's a real case study isn't she jav? Those pictures are the layout of her brain as far as I'm concerned. This is major and if I were a prosecutor I'd have this stuff up on the board in court.
Hard to argue no premeditation if she was doing it before she died, after she died and the exact same thing turns up on her duct tape...She not only had time to party and make lots of dinner but photoshop and update pages and wtf??? When did Casey sleep?
This will not look good to a jury. Good.

I don't know if this sort of thing is admissible in court or not. The defense could argue that her account had been hacked and so forth on that front. About the only way to get around that argument would be if they were using broadband, simply because the IP address would be static.

Hallucinatory drugs maybe kept her awake and put her in the mood to post ghoulish crap on photobucket? She's a sick SOB.
I just made a bowl of farina. I'm so hungry.. it's delicious.
Amen on the ghoulish. Seems to me like one of the shrink types on NG opined that she might have bi-polar tendencies. They were looking at all the phone calls and texts around the time that Caylee was thought to have been killed and there was very little time for sleep, and then no phone use for a while as though she had crashed after her manic period. Not sure if I believe it.

And she STILL had time to be constantly texting or phoning someone. She must be darn good @ multitasking to have been able to do all that and more in 24 hours a day!!!! Oh, and don't forget--her JOB!!!!! lol
I hope she was using Broadband. If she had a laptop and took it with her everywhere (I think she did) then she could hook up just about anywhere. Some of the dates in the pictures were when she wasn't home. Right? I have to go look again. I'm tired of the Anthony stardust twins using that hack excuse. I know people get hacked but, it's a bunch of bull when they claim it.
The Stardust twins are, Chitty and Poo Poo.
She was @ home some of the time Cindy and George tho't she was off finding herself. Times the neighbor reported seeing her car when the A's weren't home. Plus, there was @ least one time (the 24th) when George WAS @ home and she was there. There very well could have been other days she was there while the A's were gone. IMO

I am so amazed at the things people say to those in grief! What's wrong with saying, "I'm sorry for your loss" ? I know people feel helpless when they face a mother who has lost a child and sometimes they don't mean to hurt you but they do, with their half baked philosophies about what they think God wanted. I forgive them that, but I dread them.
Grief is an entity shar. It takes you apart and puts you back together again in a different way. It gives you gifts and it takes away your complacency. You become more alert to life itself. You gain a new perspective about the pain of others. You learn to walk a new way along with other people who have been there. IMO
I am so sorry you had to go through that.

I don't believe it either and still feel she was playing with drugs. Cocaine would have given her lots of energy. She spent money on something and it sure wasn't to pay for classes at Harvard.
I went back today and reread the email letters that her grandmother and someone was writing back and forth. I bring this up because in one of those emails they were talking about George's family and how he has a sister, I think it is, that is bi polar. So that could very well bring the mental health status of Casey into play in her defense.

Britney Spears got out in like 10 minutes, and my crazy neighbor who said Moses was telling him to kill us all got out as soon as he could recite his name and address. I hope Florida is a little more careful than California!
LOL I had a neighbour like that once. One day he was standing outside in a sun shower and he was screaming at us telling us that he was going to kill us because we were spitting at him. One day he cornered me at the communal clothesline and accused me of stealing his tracksuit pants and I was so scared he was going to hurt me I had to call out loudly for help. DH came out and this idiot ran into his flat and locked the door. When we complained to the realestate agent for our units they said there was nothing they could do because he was mentally ill and was receiving home visits from a nurse weekly but they promised to do a house check. After they went into the unit they found fishtanks everywhere and water all over the floor, mould growing, bongs everywhere, holes in the walls, and other stuff they told me was too gross to talk about; they served him an eviction notice that day.

Hello to everyone. I have been keeping up with what is going on with the disappearance and the case against Casey via this site and these threads.
I have one point that I really would like to bring into the discussion if noone minds. It is about the area where Caylee's body was found.
This is just a little something that came up in a conversation I had with a friend's mother a couple of days ago. We both grew up in Central Florida, between Tampa and Plant City. If I don't explain it in a way that makes sense to you please feel free to ask questions to clarify.
The area where Caylee's body was found is what we used to call a bayhead, meaning that if there were alot of rain or storm surge the area would flood easily and then would be a long time draining. Usually they are also areas that stay somewhat damp and usually have various sized ponds in them.
As kids growing up we were always warned to stay out of the bayheads, especially during the summer months because the gators would use them to lay in to stay cool during the day.
Now what got me to thinking of this is as I said, I was talking to a friend's mother about someone else that we went to high school with. She had a brother that was a real jerk. I had made the statement back then that, "Someone should drop kick his ass into the nearest bayhead and leave him for gator bait." Granted this was many years ago and we have lost track of him, but in the remembering of the incident that caused me to react with that statement my friend's mother stopped me.
She then said to me, "Surely you don't think that is what that woman had in mind for that child do you?" I asked what she meant and she told me to think about it. After a bit she said this to me. " If that mother were under the impression that she wouldn't get caught if they couldn't find a body, what better way to assure that they don't find the body than to put it somewhere that a gator will find it." Which is true.
Anyway it was just a thought that went thru our heads as we were talking about it all. I went back and looked at the pictures from the scene where the body was found and I also looked at the video that the one psychic did and the area sure does fit the description of a bayhead if you ask me.
I think the Liar might have been thinking just that. All the time they were looking for the body I kept saying that the Liar has lived in Florida all her life and she must know where the Gators are and she probably dumped the body somewhere that the Gators would eat it. I really thought they would never find Caylee's body and was surprised when they did. Poor little girl had a monster for a mother.

I was with you on the surprised bit. I figured when I heard that they were looking where they found her that they would lucky to find anything. The reality is that it sounds more like maybe raccoons or possums got to the bags and opened them up. That would account for the small bones being scattered around like they were.
I do that the plant and insect people can tell them alot about a time line. There was a show that I watched on one of the cable science channels that showed how they do things.
I think that they are also going to find it hard to overcome the evidence if the prosecutor presents the cadaver dogs. I don't know where Cindy got her information but as far as I know she is wrong. I have those dogs that once they scent something it is all a handler can do to get them off scent. They spend a big part of their life training to be that way. Like the police drug dogs or the guide dogs.

Bipolar isn't a defense. Possibly a mitigating factor in sentencing, but not a defense against murder.

In other cases where cadaver dogs were used, and that information was used @ trial, the handler had to go on the stand to give training information, how the dogs alert, a LONG testimony about cadaver dogs. Cindy got her information where she got most of her information--in her head, IMO. Just something to say to argue that whatever information is being discussed @ the time, if it looked bad for Casey she would come up with anything.
Unless she was like the people on these boards, cadaver dogs probably isn't something she had tho't about much, and it seems unlikely that, with all that was going on, that she would sit @ her computer and research it. Come to think of it, her computer was confiscated for a time, and she wouldn't have been able to, anyway. So, IMO she just came up with that statement to refute anything about the dogs.

I can't even imagine what it must be like to have a daughter who would count on alligators eating the corpse...The more info that comes to our attention the more I think the dp should be a consideration. No wonder George thought of suicide. I have always thought they let Caylee down but it's worse than I thought. Maybe George realizes they needed to be more on top of the situation than they were and could have prevented this. Casey was able to manipulate and pretty much did as she pleased with no interference. It's beyond me how her parents could have gone along with the Nanny cherade when Casey did not even have a job.

:) Can you tell poppa that? He came home from work last night and couldn't get in the house because of the stuffed snake thing that he insists I put in front of the door to keep the draft out and it got stuck and he couldn't get in. I had fallen asleep and he refused to ring the bell or call from his cell phone because he didn't want to wake me. He sat in his car for over an hour and when I woke up and heard the knock, I felt so bad!!! It was freeeezing out there. And I threw the stuffed draft protector into the yard. Then I gave him a big bowl of chicken soup and spoiled him to pieces all night. I felt terribly stupid. :o
As for your experience, yes, you are also wise. Those misfortunes make you

I was posting about that last evening Gator. I grew up in central Florida and we called that a bayhead. I am basing that on the descriptions and the pictures and the video that the one psychic did. It is an area that will flood, stays damp and mushy, and might have small ponds in lush vegetation.
During the summer, I know that the gators where I grew up would go anywhere to get to a pond of water if they could find one.

It's surrounded by zero lot subdivisions and very commercial area close by. Now across the other side of Chickasaw and down about 1/4 mile, that's where the gators would be. No houses, open fields with ponds in front of woods.
Do you know of the poweplant by Haines City? One of our engineers went out to check the turbine and right there outside of the door to the housing, was a ten footer. No one knew where he came from, so I guess they really could be anywhere if they are seeking a mate, water or warmth.

EXactly!! And there would be W2 and tax information and even more importantly, a phone number where they could reach each other if needed. It just makes no sense and from where I am sitting I believe indicates taking the path of least resistance. So where did she go every day??? Did she double back to the house? On my Early Intervention case load, which I do in the summer, I have a couple of moms somewhat like Casey. They do try to lie to me but it doesn't do any good. I just confront them and if they continue and I think harm could come I always call social service and the dr. who referred. (We have a residency for pediatrics in the city and that's how most are referred to EI, so we can be vigilant because we all work together to make sure things are going OK for the babies) I am the type that tries not to leave a stone unturned and take this job very much to heart to make sure the babies are as OK as they can be. These mothers are young and on their own. They do not live with parents so in that respect it is different from Casey's situation.

Whiskey Point is just across the inlet from that powerplant and yes, I know it well. There used to be a pod of bottlenosed that lived and raised their young there.

Haaaaa!! Yes! I know that scene. My first husband was Polish... The first time I ate at his family's house on a holiday I asked who the mashed potatoes were for. Answer: Everyone. It was such a small dish. His aunt thought I was awful for asking. LOL! How could they have known that I came from a tribe with a population unending?
The first time my father had dinner with my mother's family, they put a bowl of rice on the table close to him. He thought it was for him. Luckily, he noticed that the spoon seemed pretty large so while he was thinking about why was the spoon so big, he realized it was the rice for everyone to serve themselves.:o

Very sweet :) Yes, I was married for 20 years. (A 17 year old's decision) Was a single mother for 7 years with a made up mind; NEVER AGAIN, then in walks poppa with a heart full of love. We married, (after I resisted big time!) and have been together for 15 years. He's not of earth I tell ya! I met him at my mother's house. He was a friend of a friend of hers. He always wanted a big family and by George, he's got one now! "What a difference a day makes Gator!" You just never know. I had planned on staying "me, myself and I." It was hard to give up my liberties but I gained so much. He is very adored and there is seldom a dull moment at our house. :D
Maybe that's why I like frogs, I.m hoping that I'll find a prince too. But I'm not kissing any frogs to find out! ;)

I'd wonder if you were one of my sisters-in-laws but none of them could cook to save their lives, never mind bake! My brother always jokes to his wife that when they visit my mother, she feeds them like Vikings...when they go to her mother, they get a bagel and egg salad. :D

I have never met an Italian woman who can't cook. And make more than is needed and want to feed everyone. I have never met the PR side of my husbands family because he was adopted out when he was a year old. I spent a week in PR and can't remember being impressed with the food. Maybe food is not a big part of their culture like Italians. My whole family are foodies and my son is a Chef and he never has a good thing to say about my cooking but he does love my Linguine with clam sauce.

I think they thoght she was working at Universal Studios. However now we know she got fired in 2006 my question is where did she go everyday when she was faking going to work and what did she do with Caylee all that time. George said she would drive to work and he would tell her she was going the wrong way. So what was she doing all that time. I would think most of her friends would be working during the day when she was suppose to be working. No one seems to question this. What the H was she doing and what was she doing with Caylee.
People have been asking that and how they could be so naive about no paycheck, no W2s, no W4s, no income tax information, no childcare credit, etc. ad nauseum, and the response by many has been not to jeer the Ants.
They knew this chit was going on, but just let it slide. IMO when you have an adult child in your home, they have rules and responsibilities, they face the music, or you break their plate.

I don't recall @ what time Lauren? the neighbor who babysat for free for the poor struggling single mom (who didn't financially support her daughter OR herself, living for free w/mom and dad) said she quit babysitting--when SHE found out Casey didn't have a job the whole time she baby sat for free.
If someone OUTSIDE the home could figure that out, you would think someone LIVING with her would figure it out, unless they were just as happy to not question her too closely. Come on, what about filing tax returns? "How much are you getting back, gorgious?" "What are you going to do with your tax return, sweetheart?" And, in those 2 years, they never, ever, once went to the amusement park where she supposedly worked? Never went to one of the events she "planned" so as to be able to see how GREAT a job she was doing?
EVERYONE questions this, just not George or Cindy, or @ least they will not admit outloud that they questioned it. They might very well have approached her--but if her response was anything like she responded to them in the jail visits, I'm betting they backed off and never mentioned it again, just went along with things, so as to keep peace in the house, and probably bottom line, to keep Caylee in their lives. Cuz I can see her threatening to just take Caylee and leave if they are going to question her about her work (and other things.)

We grew up eating casseroles, one pot dishes etc. My sister cooked blackeyed peas, cornbread and served it to her husband. He wanted to know where the rest of the meal was. HE grew up with a salad, a veggie AND a dessert in addition to the blackeyed peas and cornbread!!!

Good for you Woostock; some of these young parents have to be boxed in before they face reality. When I was a caseworker, it was amazing how many people had zero parenting skills, zero housekeeping skills, and zero crisis management skills. You practically had to move in and do an intervention.

I think you and I are cut out of the same cloth. You would be the person I would be calling when things look amiss or I have concerns. I take the EI job very seriously because in some cases I am the ONLY one going into the apt and seeing what is transpiring. And I don't back off. The dept of SS never complains when I ask for assistance when I have asked them to follow up.
But in this case there was no intervention. Every things was between the parents and Casey. they chose to ignore signs. What DID Casey do every day?

You know, if Casey had been acting the way that she did for two weeks or two months, I could buy that G&C were caught unawares, but not two years. And for all we know, she had been a lying dirtbag tuls for years before that.
The knack to working intervention and social services (IMO) is to let the client know that you will fiercely protect the child, but that you will also fiercely adhere to the mandate for reunification IF and when there is cooperation. You want your clients to want you to be the caseworker. It's a tightrope act. Any kind of social work should be undertaken in some ways like parenting: Hell hath no fury like Mama Bear.

Congrats for hubby on the job!!!! It has to have been scarey for him to not have one.
O/T (except that is the link) but, have the Obamas ever had a dog, ever wanted a dog? Is it a mandate somehow that to reside in the White House one has to have a dog? It just seems to me that they were in the financial position to already have a dog (and therefore bring their own to the White House) if they had wanted a dog. Now, maybe they DO want a dog, but what if they don't? What if they don't want even a cat? Anyway, it just seems rather odd that people (organizations) are sort of petitioning to the First Family to adopt pets, when that might not be on their agenda @ all.
But that was the deal Obama made with his daughters: If he ran for president and won, they got a dog. So now he has to keep his promise as a dad. Problem is, they want to get a shelter dog but one of the girls is allergic, so it has to be one of the breeds that doesn't cause allergies.

Congrats to your hubby, eatcupcakes, on the job. The market is so tough right now, believe me, I know. Good news for me too, I was hired on Friday to work as the assistant to the president of a private investigator's office. I'm so excited, and this was the job I wanted so it's a win/win.:)
I'm really on the fence about George. One side of me says that yes, he's experiencing something so horrific in his life right now, maybe he felt that this was the only way to ease his pain. I don't see Cindy as the understanding and listening type of spouse (with all the separation and divorce news, maybe he didn't feel that he could talk to her). The other side of me says that he's harboring a secret and he would rather die than expose it. I think I'm gonna let this one play out.
Congratulations on your wonderful sounding job. Sounds like it would be exciting although I understand most cases are cheating spouses.
I feel the same way you do about George. I feel he knows more than he's telling and it is eating him alive. I am also sure he feels very alone and isolated.

Congrats to your hubby. I really don't feel sorry for Cindy either. She comes off as unlikeable and even a lot of Casey's friends and Jesse even said that Cindy was unfriendly and wasn't pleasant to be around. I have always found George more likeable and feel sorry for him because based on their background it seems Cindy has abused him in a lot of ways throughout his marriage she pushed him to a business career that had ended badly and they moved to another state where he had to change careers. I agree George needs to be out of that house for awhile. I also feel sorry for the Anthonys in a way because it was mentioned on NG that neither George or Cindy's extended families are standing by them. I don't blame Cindy's brother Rick for not standing by her. I'm not sure if George or Cindy have friends supporting them. But maybe George with the help of the pastor can find somewhere else to stay.
I agree that George needs some serious time away from Cindy right now. He needs to do some serious thinking and get his head on straight. Was this pastor their pastor before all this happened, or did they just start going there after the prayer vigils?

George Anthony Could Stay In Hospital Until Monday

DAYTONA BEACH -- The father of Casey Anthony remains in the hospital under psychiatric evaluation for a third day Sunday after a suicide scare.
George Anthony is being held for observation under the Baker Act, which allows him to be checked out for 72 hours. That could keep him at Halifax Medical Center through sometime Monday.

ITA and I think that was part of the reason for the suicide attempt. Gerge was saying to Cindy, "Look! Caylee may be gone nad Casey may be gone but I am still here and I need youlove and care. He has been kicked around so bad during this whole thing and probably before. Now I may be wrong nad he may be a leach and a sponge but there had to be something there for Cindy to allow him to come back.
I am glad Cindy is doing better, but I am a little resentful of the fact that George ends up in a mental hospital and all at once Cindy appears with her hair done and looking good. Sort of poor taste if you ask me.
My goodness, I have so many pages to catch up on! Hi all!
Just wanted to add my 2 cents on this one.... JD, 'kicked around' is a good way of putting it, along with publicly humiliated (Shirley's e-mails), and making it sound like the man is nothing but a piece of crap, sucking off of wonderful Cindy. How could he be thought of as anything else with Cindy controlling everything? Make no mistake, she ran the show. He is like the complacent dad who smooths things over when it comes to a head in that house. Then, we all saw how he blew up at the media and people who surrounded their house and the circus that was going on. How could he take being pulled from the inside, home, and from the outside . Nope, don't blame him for not wanting to give it up and be with Caylee.
Loretta, on LKL rerun I saw, they said Jesse's interview with Dr. Phil is on this FRIDAY. That's 9 AM est time. Everyone check your local listings if you are able to catch it. This might be verrrrrrrry interesting!
OK, I'm trying to catch up on posts, go slowly, WTH do you think I am, Evelyn Woodhead, Speed Reader??!! LOL
To All! http://i42.tinypic.com/2usjuwg.jpg
Good to see you! :seeya: Yes, Jesse is on Lord Phil on Friday, but I won't be watching. Y'all will have to give me a recrap. (My comment about the transcript was re: LKL. Maybe it's up now and y'all can read Geragos' comments, although they had little to do with the actual case.
JD, I think if George was to somehow come to grips with the reality of this situation, and especially if he does report anything that he has held back, he would have support and regained respect by the public. He could leave Cindy in the dust where she belongs unless she is willing to straighten up and fly right herself.!!!
Still no Larry King transcipt; guess the stenos start the weekend early!

I'm an OLTL fan but I can't stand Jess/Tess/Bess storylines lol. The dream team will end up looking fools at the trial because they will spend most of their time trying to prove the existence of an imaginary nanny. I bet the prosecution rip apart the ZG took Caylee story.
I'm betting we don't hear a single word from the defense about the nanny. I think they will put on all their forensic experts to try and attack the prosecution case. The story will be, "Yes, these things happened but you can't prove CASEY did them. Reasonable doubt! Will be interesting to see.

Casey Anthony's Ex-Boyfriend Posted 'Chloroform' Image On MySpace
Attorney Files Motion Over Forensic Exam
POSTED: Saturday, January 24, 2009
UPDATED: 11:35 pm EST January 24, 2009
ORLANDO, Fla. -- The attorney for Casey Anthony filed a motion late Friday afternoon seeking more information about an ex-boyfriend of his client's who posted a picture on MySpace that showed a man and woman with the title "win her over with chloroform."
Jose Baez wants prosecutors to turn over information about Ricardo Morales, including details about a forensic examination conducted on his computer.
In the more than 3,000 pages of discovery turned over by the state to Anthony's defense team, it was revealed that detectives questioned Morales at least twice.
In the second interview, which occurred in October, Morales said he dated Anthony from January through mid-April, two months before Caylee was last seen alive.
Morales told detectives he posted the chloroform picture on his MySpace page around the beginning of 2008. It was sometime after that when someone did a search for the word "chloroform" on the home computer of George and Cindy Anthony, where Casey Anthony lived with Caylee.
A short time later, Morales and Casey Anthony broke up.
When Morales was asked about the photo, he told detectives it was "kind of funny."
He did not remove the photo from the MySpace page until after Casey Anthony was arrested.
Forensic teams found trace amounts of chloroform in Casey Anthony's car.
Morales also told detectives that Casey Anthony had access to his computer when she was at his apartment. His laptop was analyzed, and detectives noted that "there was nothing incriminating on his computer" although "it appeared some files had been deleted" the same day it was turned over to detectives.
Baez said he wants to determine if the evidence is incriminating, so he filed the motion, which could be heard as early as Friday.
Morales told detectives that he never had a conversation with Casey Anthony about chloroform nor did he recall her ever asking about chloroform or the image on his MySpace page.
A judge ruled on Friday that Casey Anthony, 22, who remains jailed on first-degree murder charges in the death of her daughter, must now attend all court proceedings in her case.

The Darkness of Despair
01/25/09 | by admin [mail] | Categories: Friends Of Caylee
Sometime Thursday evening and into the early morning hours of Friday morning January 23, 2009 George Anthony considered ending his life. I do not believe that he actually attempted to do so but the thoughts were swirling in his mind and heart. From what I have read of people contemplating suicide if you are really going to do it you do. Those that reach out to tell others of their desires are crying out for help. Whatever George’s intent was at that moment it is clear that the darkness of despair had him in its demonic grip.
Over the last 6-months it has become obvious that there has been tension between my family and the Anthonys for their efforts to apparently implicate not just my son Jesse and myself but, as we recently discovered, to also try to implicate my wife in Caylee’s disappearance. These actions, whatever their motivation, are inexcusable and heartlessly diabolical. However, that does not mean I am without compassion for George’s pain. I told him so in a text message sent to him early Friday morning. Christian compassion outweighs fleshly emotions or feelings. Faith outweighs the facts and love outweighs evidence when we know Jesus/Yeshua as Lord & Savior.
As I stated early on, I cannot imagine what it must be like to get up each morning and to look into a room where toys lay unused and unloved, knowing that they will never be held by their owner again. To see not one but two empty beds that will not hold their occupants again (assuming the outcome of the trial is a guilty one) has to wear on the heart. The constant nagging guilt of “what if” breaks down a heart and mind like nothing else we can imagine. The accusers’ voice screaming “what if” into your spirit will slowly take away your will to live and your ability to choose light over darkness. How can we not have compassion when we have all been victimized by these thoughts at some time in our lives?
We had Caylee in our life part-time for almost a year and the nagging “what if” brought me to my knees. George had her full time for almost three years and that must magnify his pain exponentially. There is, however, a larger difference between George and I. While my pain and feeling of failure bore deep into my heart and mind there was Another there to bring me out of it. My faith and personal relationship with a Living Loving God, as my Father, and with the Lord of my life, Jesus/Yeshua kept me safe and brought me through. The only way to remove darkness is to expose it to Light. By living in that Light of God darkness is weakened and powerless against us. You see, although our heart yearns for Caylee we know that we will see her again someday when it’s our time to go Home. We also have the distinct confidence that she is safe in the arms of the Lord. We know that we know that we know it. That’s what faith does. Faith is confidence in things we hope for and having the assurance of things we cannot see. Our faith tells us Caylee is all right. Moreover, our hearts which are filled with His Love know that she is all right.
So, to all of you that may wonder or stress over this sad story about a wondrous little girl named Caylee Marie Anthony, let me assure you that she is okay. She is safe, pure, perfect and happy. There is no more pain, no more sadness and no more darkness. If that assurance is not enough for you and you need more, just let me know. I have plenty go around. He fills my heart to overflowing and gives me rest. Come and rest with me as I rest with Him!

Well, I was just looking at RJ "The Sword's" pages earlier, and I'm beginning to wonder just what to think of this family. 1) I cannot understand why they go on TV (King Phil is next) to get their heads shrunk, and to go over and over the same old stuff. (Like I don't blather on and repeat myself.) 2) I don't understand why this man continues to harp about the wrongs that the Anthonys have done him and his family, but makes a big deal out of his compassion. If the Ants won't shut up, try to get an injunction to silence them, already! 3) It also bothers me that if this seemingly (from his photos) vain man is a bona fide preacher man, that he may be giving pastoral care to his worshippers, er uh congregation; he is sadly misguided.
>>I do not believe that he actually attempted to do so but the thoughts were swirling in his mind and heart. From what I have read of people contemplating suicide if you are really going to do it you do. Those that reach out to tell others of their desires are crying out for help.
*Dear God, please don't allow Mr. Grund's parishioners come to him with emotional problems when at the lowest point of their despair. Amen.*
Is it just me? Is there anyone, anyone, anyone normal associated with the Anthonys?

I hope she was using Broadband. If she had a laptop and took it with her everywhere (I think she did) then she could hook up just about anywhere. Some of the dates in the pictures were when she wasn't home. Right? I have to go look again. I'm tired of the Anthony stardust twins using that hack excuse. I know people get hacked but, it's a bunch of bull when they claim it.
The Stardust twins are, Chitty and Poo Poo.
I remember Tony's friend Clint House said that Casey used her laptop at all the time at Tony's apartment.

I just hope that some how, some way George finds the strength to stand up to Cindy. I am afraid if he goes back to that house with her, he will try suicide again and this time suceed.

Let's just hope that he either isn't allowed to go home if the suicidal ideation isn't nixed, or is in intensive therapy.

Regarding the Myspace thing...maybe I missed something, but why do people seem to think Casey made the "Caylee Is Missing" page before Caylee went missing?
I thought that the OFFICIAL page is one made specifically for Caylee and for people to share their condolensces with the family, etc. It's not Casey's or anything. And then I thought that the kayseeomarie (or whatever it is) page was Casey's Myspace that she turned into a Caylee Is Missing page as well...she may have had the page for a long time, but she just updated it to display stuff about Caylee. The comments people were seeing that she wrote a long time ago have a "Help Find Caylee" picture displayed because that's the current default picture. If I took a picture and put it on my Myspace, all of my comments would display that picture. I don't know. I'm confused though. I'm not sure I know what I'm talking about lol. I am supposed to be researching academic articles and instead would rather be on here.
That Richard Grund letter...I'm sorry but I kind of WTF-ed at it. "George and his family are blaming my family! Sure he wants to DIE and stuff, so I will be all self righteous and text him about how I care for him!" Oh, ok. Although Casey trying to implicate Jesse is evil. What can we expect from her though?
I have so many questions. What was a knife doing in the laundry bag where they found Caylee? Was it in case she woke up? Was the laundry already in the bag when Casey dumped Caylee in there? Has the duct tape been in the water too long for there still to be prints on it? ETC! Also, I have to wonder how many times Caylee had been choroformed or drugged, waking up in a dark trunk and looking around, scared and wanting her mom? Was the duct tape an often occurance or was it just this once, as it's been reported that it was on her TIGHTLY, so they had to cut her hair to get it off? Poor angel :rose:

I agree that George needs some serious time away from Cindy right now. He needs to do some serious thinking and get his head on straight. Was this pastor their pastor before all this happened, or did they just start going there after the prayer vigils?
I read somewhere that George and Cindy have attended his church off and on for years. I was thinking to myself once George is released from psych watch he can stay somewhere away from the house and all the Caylee memories.

Unless she had used duct tape often, she might think she needed a knife to cut it. When duct tape stays underwater for a period of time, the sticky side turns into a gooey mess which could destroy fingerprints. Fingerprints on the smooth outer side may have been washed off by water since prints consist of oil from your skin. I hope i'm wrong.

I agree. I believe he will do it again. He never, ever expected anyone to find him and he did swallow all of the meds he took with him, so he was dead in the water if they didn't find him. He wasn't whistling Dixie. He was gone!
I don't know that they did him a favor, and yet he could live to tell his tale and perhaps find a way to do something good with his grief. He could channel it and use it in a productive way. Grief is energy and we can transform energy into anything, including self destruction. I hope he turns it into energy that helps others in Caylee's name. That would be good. If anyone here believes that those who have crossed over have any influence, then maybe we can believe that Caylee got help to her poppa before he died that night. I believe all is forgiven on the other side. IMO

I remember the neighbor who babysat for Caylee also believed that Casey attended college and took online classes. I think maybe Casey lied to her parents about her taxes. She could have simply said she had her taxes done at H&R Block or place like that. I find it weird that George and Cindy never went to Universal to see where the daughter worked as a "event planner". In the emails from Shirley Plesea to another relatives she mentions that Cindy has never met any of Casey coworker's. Maybe Casey dodged them when they asked about visiting her at Universal. Maybe she claimed her job was very private and security wouldn't allow them in to see her. Also Casey use to lie about going to night events at Universal so George and Cindy would babysit Caylee but in reality Casey was out partying.

Awww, you are so nice OS. :) And you are an old Soul. I hope I am too because I don't' want to come back and do this lifetime again! LOL! It was a hard one!
I agree on George. He didn't succeed, but he was a goner if the call wasn't made. Seems there is proof once again that the universe is unfolding as it should or that there is a higher power regulating things. (Though I get in a flux about that when I see the horrors of this world) Caylee didn't deserve to die that way, no child does. I believe with all of my heart, that he will make it through if he keeps his focus on Caylee and memorializes her, like John Walsh did for Adam. ITA. Yep! It's easy to say, but so hard to do. I noticed when they closed the Walsh case, the parents, (now divorced) gave an interview and they cried for Adam on national TV so many years later. It's a wound that never heals. I love John Walsh.
My weebles came today as they do every Sunday for Nawny's meatballs and macaroni. One of the twins got the bench from her mommy for being a freshy. She's 6 years old. I went back today and reread the email letters that her grandmother and someone was writing back and forth. I bring this up because in one of those emails they were talking about George's family and how he has a sister, I think it is, that is bi polar. So that could very well bring the mental health status of Casey into play in her defense.
I noticed that in the email too and there are claims from some of Casey's friends who think she is bipolar. I suffer from cyclothymia which is a mild form of bipolar and I know a few people who suffer from bipolar I and bipolar II. Casey's history does show symptoms of bipolar such as overspending, sexual promsocuity and risky situations. But we have never heard of Casey having periods of depression. Also people with bipolar feel regret and remorse for things they do. Casey seems never to regret anything she has done. She never paid Jesse or grandparents back for the money she stole. Casey seems to fit the sociopath profile more.

I wondered about that too, and wasn't it stated that casey was wearing rosary beads? Are they Catholic? I think the Catholic religion is the only one that uses the rosary beads.
Catholics use the rosary, but many religions use prayer beads; they are a counting device. I don't think it's considered sacrilegious for Catholics to wear their beads, but not sure what The Church has to say about non-Catholics wearing it/them.
The discussion @ the time is that they are not. Can't remember what religion the preacher was who went to see Casey and I think had been w/George and Cindy @ some points.
It seems the rosary was sent to Casey, don't know if the sender was a Catholic or not. Other discussion was about Casey wearing the rosary as a necklace, and there were those who said that was not unheard of.
The preacher is from a Baptist church called Eastside Baptist. I heard somewhere that a couple from New Jersey left the black rosary for Casey at the Anthony home. I'm Catholic and I occasionally see people at mass wearing rosaries. During Good Friday many people wear them during the day. I will ask my priest sometime soon about how the Church feels about Catholics wearing rosaries. I agree it's pretty common for people to wear rosaries as jewelry. I was a baby and a little kid in the 80's and I do know it was a popular thing back then and in the last couple of years rosaries as a fashion accessory. I have a Country Weekly subscription and I have seen pics of different singers wearing rosaries in the past year. I think Casey probably took the black rosary as jewelry because in the below pic she is wearing a white rosary while partying with Tony. When she got the rosary from the New Jersey couple she probably thought "Oh cool a necklace this couple must want me to have a nice fashion accessory while I'm dealing with my missing Caylee."

Is he kidding me?? George did not attempt to do it, he DID do it. If he as as godly as he pretends, he's go to George and be there for him instead of posting this chit. He's driving the nails in deeper.
When someone survives a suicide attempt, the last thing they need is crap like this pouring vinegar in the wounds. George must be beyond embarrassed. This is hideous! This A&&hole needs a tune up in the parking lot of the church. THis preacher man is still seeking revenge for Cindy's accusations. How Christian is that? :cuss:
I think their lawyer also, had no business revealing any details of George's night at the hotel. What's up with that?
This is so personal and so much has been revealed that no one needed to know. Of COURSE he wants to die! He has no reason (right now) to live! George needed peace and privacy from the start. At worst he needed a good medical professional to keep him grounded.
Victor Frankl said, "Man does not need a HOW to live. He needs a WHY to live."
I don't see it that way. The Grund family seems to have been victims of this family for a long time and looked the other way. Now they are throwing serious accusations at the Grund family in order to protect the guilty. Richard Grund is doing what he can to protect his family. Once again the Anthonys have put good people in a position to be attacked and thrown under the bus. This is very mind compared to what I would do if someone was trying to frame my nephew for murder or kidnapping.
George went to a motel and parked his car in a visible place. He had his cellphone on and knew that they could trace it through pings. He was texting that he didn't want to live, he vomited. I don't think he wanted it to be a successful suicide, just an attempt for whatever reason. JMO.
The Grunds can be added to the list of people destroyed by the Liar.

Thanks for that personal perspective; there have been comments by talking heads that indicate that bipolar might be some sort of explanation for her activities. But bipolar does not wash as explanation for the murder.

If you were to wear a rosary, it would be to pray with. Wearing it as a fashion statement is not right. Pope JohnPaul II was very upset when he saw Hollywood people wearing them as necklaces. He said that was not their purpose and he did not want it to continue. He was also upset at the use of giant sized crosses being worn as jewelry.

When she got the rosary from the New Jersey couple she probably thought "Oh cool a necklace this couple must want me to have a nice fashion accessory while I'm dealing with my missing Caylee."
http://caseyanthonynews.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/partydress1.jpg
I have so many rosaries that my housekeeper asked me if I was sure I'm not Catholic. (Um pretty sure!) I hang one on the lamp near my computer to remind me of each of the prayers for individuals that (I feel) need to be said. One of my addictions is Ryan's Hope (a thirty year old soap opera), I love it when Maeve pulls her rosary out of her purse. You just know she means business. I know many Catholics and have never seen them actually wear the rosary, but they might be in the purse or the pocket or tucked in the belt.

Thanks for that personal perspective; there have been comments by talking heads that indicate that bipolar might be some sort of explanation for her activities. But bipolar does not wash as explanation for the murder.
I agree bipolar does not wash either.

Gator
Amen that Casey has worked her destruction on the Grunds, but myspace is not the place for Richard to use his (poorly chosen and misguided) words to protect his family.
Aside: Just watched the eighteen minute presser on WFTV from Brad Conway again, and it is ironic that he slings arrows at irresponsible reporters who will print information without fact checking. But it's okay for George specifically to continue to point the finger of guilt at Casey's friends? Hellllooooo Pot; kettle. Kettle; pot.
Justice Denied?

Maybe Lee was the one on the phone with the PI when he went tearing around looking in the area Caylee's body was found?
I think that is an excellent conclusion. Another possibility is that he helped Casey hide the body. When she called and couldn't get Cindy or George or anyone else, maybe Lee stopped by or something???? Just his attitude about fingerprints and DNA makes me think he did SOMETHING!

I appreciate the idea of Caylee watching over her JoJo.
This case is so well documented that we all feel connected. If more states did as FL. does we might have more cases we could discuss in detail.
I came to this board to read about this case and I commend you all for your updates and opines concerning this child. I can see she has captured many hearts and we all want Justice.
Grayfox, I'd like to think that Caylee was George's guardian angel Thursday night. Now I want to see him on his feet and fighting for her!

Yeah I thought all along he knew more than he was telling. The refusal to the lie detector test, fingerprints and DNA didn't sit right with me at all. I bet he had a part in covering up or moving the body.

I have to watch as he said they have never even kissed yet??? In your words it just aint normal :D I was just sharing with DH your clown car and pudding post. I think his coffee went thru both nostrils. His take to is it just aint normal. He thinks the parents have a bong in their bedroom-they are just way to mellow :hat: His words not mine-he bad:D
Lawsy, if those people had a bong in the bedroom, they'd probably have 28 children instead of eighteen!!! Of course they're mellow, they have all those built in nanny/babysitter/buddies. I probably wouldn't be such a contrarian, nor so contrary if I'd had someone to raise my kiddo for me too!

Yes he did and what struck me as odd was her boyfriend had stated Casey was on the computer right before Cindy came and took her out of the apartment. When Lee got the computer it was crashed. Now SOMEONE had to crash the thing before it was given to LE.

Okay I respect your feelings about Grund. I even agree. I just thought he could have handled it differently. As for George, he's a mess. I'll give him a free ticket for messing up and I'll give Grund one too for being angry, but he can't call himself a man of god while degrading a guy who is hanging from a cliff. Take off his cassock and put on his boxing gloves and hit hard? yeah. Step on his fingers while he's hanging , yeah maybe, but not at the podium.
Just my opinion, as always.
I agree with everything you just said. I think if someone has an issue with someone else they should man up and go face to face with that person. Not use someone elses misery to make a point. I can understand Grund being mad, hurt, upset but don't write something that IMO is saying look how bad they did my family and I am still supporting them. And then try to say George was faking for attention. I dunno.... people are weird.

I was thinking about that. Maybe George knew or found out that Lee was involved in something bigger. Maybe something in his suicide letter revealed that to LE. Or maybe LE knowing that George is in a safe place for now thought it the best time to bring everythign out. Once again too many maybe's in this case.

Most of you know my son died a few years ago. I have survived grief because I have love. And because I believe that we never die because love can't die. I can't tell you that I went from grief to peace in one step. It took five years to exhale. Then the real process began. My husband, my children, and their children are the ones who held me together.
Since George went missing, I have been especially riveted to this board because I understand on some level how he feels.
(Though my family is very different than his) I am concerned that his life is not so fortunate as mine and that his life is tenuous right now because he lacks the one thing that makes life matter. This whole story makes me more grateful than I thought I could be.
This morning my daughter sent me an email, and in it was this poem. I wanted to share it with all of you to show you that there is hope no matter how painful life gets. These are the things that make me stay alive and I hear such words every day from those who love me so much.
Love
By Roy Croft
I love you,
Not only for what you are,
But for what I am
When I am with you.
I love you,
Not only for what
You have made of yourself,
But for what
You are making of me.
I love you
For the part of me
That you bring out;
I love you
For putting your hand
Into my heaped-up heart
And passing over
All the foolish, weak things
That you can’t help
Dimly seeing there,
And for drawing out
Into the light
All the beautiful belongings
That no one else had looked
Quite far enough to find.
I love you because you
Are helping me to make
Of the lumber of my life
Not a tavern
But a temple;
Out of the works
Of my every day
Not a reproach
But a song.
I love you
Because you have done
More than any creed
Could have done
To make me good
And more than any fate
Could have done
To make me happy.
You have done it
Without a touch,
Without a word,
Without a sign.
You have done it
By being yourself.
Perhaps that is what
Love means,
After all.
That is a beautiful poem. I'm going to copy it and send it to my mom. I'm so sorry you had to go through the pain of losing a child. That has to be the worst feeling in the world. I cannot imagine it nor do I ever want to. You are a wonderful caring person. Thank you so much for being here and sharing your life lessons with us all.

>>I love you,
Not only for what you are,
But for what I am
When I am with you.
That's beauty. That can easily describe personal, group, and devout relationships.
One of my favorites from Mark Strand, poet laureate 1990-1991:
Keeping Things Whole
In a field
I am the absence
of field.
This is
always the case.
Wherever I am
I am what is missing.
When I walk
I part the air
and always
the air moves in
to fill the spaces
where my body's been.
We all have reasons
for moving.
I move
to keep things whole.

I had two scares today. I was in my bedroom, working on the computer when the toilet flushed all on its own.
And Mac was outside in the yard for a long time. I went to check on him and he was barking at the fence. I went out to look and there on the fence was a huge eagle - either a golden eagle or a young bald eagle. I think it was sizing Mac up for dinner. Luckily Mac is about 26 lbs so he was too big to fly away with. When it flew away it had a wing span of six feet or so. Each flap of the wings made a loud whooshing sound. Mac and I ran like :chicken::chicken:

When I am feeling like a piece of my heart is missing, I read Desiderata. It covers everything in life. I have it on my fridge. When my kids are sad, I read it to them. "It is still a beautiful world"
-- written by Max Ehrmann in the 1920s --
Not "Found in Old St. Paul's Church"! -- see below
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
that is so wonderful Danagher I a going to print it and put it on my bathroom mirror. I hope it helps me as it does you. thanks again and try to be happy when you can. Sara

Gator, that is serious business. Turkey vultures killed my flamepoint Persian Sneezy&Dopey. We had to get a permit from the Game & Fish people just to fire to scare them away; they love the windows on the back side of my house. No aiming allowed. No plinking vermin.
Yikes!! That's awful! I'm sorry that happened to you. I wasn't aware large birds would come so close to a residential dwelling. I thought they more or less stayed in no mans land

Hi Sara, I know you said this story upsets you and makes you sad. But think of it this way, perhaps it's going to save a lot of children. I hope a lot of relatives are going to take a stronger role in watching out for children whose caretaker is not careful or ignorant of unsafe conditions. Maybe a law for Caylee will be passed giving grandparents an easier way to get custody of children in danger.

Thank you. My son and I were having a discussion about it last night when we were discussing murder cases, Melanie McGuire, Scott Peterson, Stephen Grant and of course this one.
It is pretty clear to me that Sociopaths don't have feelings and that if pushed in the direction that someone needs to be removed they do it with no remorse but they are not insane. Can't it be that a physco has no feelings either but is insane. Of course what is insane. I don't accept the knowing right from wrong bit. I think you can know right from wrong but can't help yourself, you are driven to do something wrong. Like the lady in Texas who drowned all her kids, she knew it was wrong but had to do it to save their souls. Which was insane in my opinion. What ya think. Don't go crazy, no pun intented, looking it up on my account, but I do appreciate it.
I worked with a mother once with post partum depression and it is very much like schizophrenic with the voice does give control. I worked with many schizophrenice too. when on their medication they start to feel so good menatally and very bad physically they go off them and here the voices are again. Usually starts in late teen to mid 30's.the neverves in the brain do not comunicate and therefore you get the paranoid delusions (they are Jesus)
on top of the voices which a more in control on what to do more their from wrong judgement.
Sociopaths to me are someone who does not have morals against society as a whole ane Psychpaths do not have morals against one person in specific. I am 100% Casey did not care about Killing Caylee and did know right from wrong at the timee of the homicide
I am so sorry this is long but this is what I leard from my degree and work experience.. IMO please feel to agree....or disagree or ignore. sara....

I have a trick to get rid of skunks that might help. Mothballs. They hate mothballs. maybe the turkey vultures will too! And I learned something about seagulls last week. i always feed them and I had gone shopping and stopped for a burger. There is always a flock of them around that place and I always (almost) stop to feed them from my car. I actually buy fries for them. I had onions on my burger and several of them had fallen out of the bun. The gulls were wreaking havoc over the fries and as soon as I threw the onions out to them, they flew away so fast I couldn't believe it. They refused to go near the fries anymore. Try onions.
Ya nevah know!
We use mothballs like crazy as snake repellent, and that doesn't seem to faze them. Not sure they mind onions either, because they will check out the compost pile too. In the summer when they're more active, I use my compost tumbler as much as possible instead of the pile. But I hate that, because I kind of like for the raccoons to be able to grab a snack from the heap.

Isn't it? I've never heard of a grinder. What comes to mind first is someone dancing on a pole. (;)) In the midwest we have feed grinders, but don't suppose that is what you all are talking about. When "meatball" is added, I think of Archie Bunker, but also think it might be a sandwich. SURELY there isn't some kind of DRINK that has meatballs in it???????
Amy a grinder is a sub with just about anything you want with it. Like a long loaf of french bread cut in half the long ways and then you start. I use cheese crab and olives. Now if I put meatballs in a grinder I would look like a slob as they kept would falling out as I tried to eat. Nice lunch partner. sara

I remember one the priests who used to be at my parish said that he didn't like the use of giant sized crosses. I remember years ago watching the Mother Angelica show and she told people off for wearing crosses as a fashion statements.

The Brackenwood house is apparently the abandoned house that was in the film of the PI looking for Caylee's body. It is *thought* that Cindy saw Casey there before. Cindy said Casey had bought an air matress before taking Caylee to "bond". The theory is Casey knew the people who used to live in that house. Their last name was Gonzalez. Casey was telling people that she was watching the house for them. They moved to PR. It is a theory that Casey was taking over that house and using Xanax and chloroform to put Caylee to sleep in that house. So they are saying the "nanny" was Xanax in the Gonzalez house.

Anyone here think that Casey is telling Bozo anything? Anything helpful?
Kimber Guilfoyle(sp): The defense might try to argue that RM had something to do with the crime because he had had contact with Casey and Caylee, but the evidence is persuasive and compelling and comes back to one nexis which is the mother, because of the evidence in the trunk, searches on the web. Did RM break into the house and do all that? Get the heart shaped stickers? (paraphrasing)

I too find it weird that there are times the Ants would claim they were broke and other times would have nice stuff and do expensive things. Cindy could have found a pro bono or sliding scale lawyer to help her get custody and adopt Caylee. Adoptions of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and stepchildren generally don't cose much. About five years ago a couple at my church adopted their grandson mainly because their had no interest and the boy's father is in prison. They told me that they got a pro bono lawyer which they paid a small retainer. The cost of adopting their grandson was almost $800 which covered court, document and other attorney fees. It's unforunate that Cindy could find anyone to help her. But I do think the Anthony's were the type of people who lived above their means. Even Rick said in the topix posts that Cindy didn't work in Ohio and expected to get rich through George's family auto business.

Maybe Cindy had seen Casey at this house in the past or knew that at one time Casey was watching over the house for the family.
"IMO" This will fit right into Casey's defense. Also, the MR wouldn't have to have been at that house because if the water was turned off. I wonder if the neighbor had seen Dominic Casey or Hoover when they were there digging and poking around?
The owners moved to P.R.
The owners last name is G.
So, maybe Casey knew they were moving and was friend with them, told them she would watch over the house. Decided to take ownership and had a built in nanny, the "G" house and possible Xanax and the Chloroform the house would be vacant so she would bring the air mattress there and some of Caylee's things and tell her "Mommy will be right back and put her to sleep" Until the horrific day for Caylee. Do you guys remember when the Anthony's aired that show on Univision, the Spanish network? The may of been pointing the finger at this family. I wonder if LE ever contacted them to see if they ever spoke to Casey and so fourth. The big question is did they make this video to cause reasonable doubt? Who all is mixed up in this conspiracy? And where the heck is LE or the FBI, the house should of been searched last night. Anyone know?

I got in half way through. He gave a good view of the Anthony's and I liked how he described Casey. "She lives in a paralell world" etc..a lot of it was his "Old Fashioned" opinion. I love hate that guy.
I like LP. I like him because for whatever reason he spent $70,000 of his OWN money to try to find Caylee. IMO someone who does that for a complete stranger is a good person. I think he's "off" at times but hey who isn't? He shoots out theories but so do all of us. We just aren't on t.v. doing it. KWIM? I don't agree with EVERYTHING about him but I do like to hear what he has to say. I think a lot of what he has to say holds some weight. His theories interest me. I didn't like him at first when he bailed Casey out. I respected him for saying he was wrong. A person who can admit when they are wrong and then continue to use their own money to find the truth is a decent person in my book.

Don't remember which night or which expert, but on NG the other night it was stated that it shouldn't have been that expensive an endeavor. And wow $800. That's only $70/month.
I must a couple of nights of NG because of American Idol and a few other shows I watch. Adopting a relative child or stepchild isn't expensive. The only adoptions that cost an arm and leg is adopting a child through a private agency. The couple I knew was lucky because if some adoptions like that can cost $1,000 to $3,000 if you don't have pro bono or sliding scale lawyer. I have a friend whose dad adopted his wife's daughter and it ended up be $1,500. My friend's parents divorced when he was only 8 years old about five years later his dad started dating a coworker. When they first started dating her daughter was only 6 months old. They dated for four years and when they decided to marry. My friend's dad decided since he was getting married he wanted to adopt the little girl. The little girl's biological father was a Canadian who had dual US citizenship. He only saw the little girl two times in those four years. He agreed to sign away his parental rights after the mother contacted him. He flew down here to go to sign away his rights. The court filling fees and other fees came to $500. Their lawyer was probably paid around $1,000. I know a few other people who have adopted stepchildren or relatives and they have said the adopting them wasn't too expensive. Cindy and George could looked deeper for help.

Good point there. Casey would have probably wanted something for turning Caylee over to them. Maybe if the Ant's realized or found out Casey wasn't working they could have used that aganist her to get custody of Caylee. Another thing that could have kept Cindy from adopting Caylee is maybe social services would want Caylee's father tracked down in order to sign away his parental rights. Maybe Cindy really knew who the father was but she couldn't bear the thought of sharing Caylee with another family.

Your life sounds like Lil house on the prairie. So farmish..so different from life here in the north east. I want to live there. I'll punch those turkey vultures in the mouth for you. I yell Italian cuss words, that'll make them afraid to bother your precious pup. :cuss: Have your people call my person! I know people! :hat:
Well, we live outside the city limits, so it's "rural" and we don't have effing leash laws (dogs always in my fishponds and pool and doing damage and wreaking havoc), but it's a nice subdivision. Puhleez do come up here and curse in Italian, cause American ain't getting it done. And throw out the evil eye while you're at it!!!!!!!!!!
Funny, we've got a "farm" several miles down the road, and don't have any problems there with dogs or neighbors who don't know what a trash bag is. Hmmm Think maybe it's because we don't live there?

Anthonys: George Regains Will To Live; Police Investigate Lee
Source Says Investigators Want To Know What Lee Anthony Knew
POSTED: 7:50 pm EST January 25, 2009
UPDATED: 8:41 pm EST January 25, 2009
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Investigators credited with saving Caylee Anthony's grandfather's life last week said on Sunday that they will be going back to ask members of the family some tough questions.
The investigators said they'll be focusing on Caylee's uncle, Lee Anthony.
Anthony family attorney Brad Conway told WESH 2's Bob Kealing on Sunday that grandfather George Anthony has regained the will to live.
Some of the same investigators credited with saving George Anthony's life after he disappeared now have to resume their investigation into the death of his granddaughter. That includes asking questions about what Lee Anthony knew about Caylee's disappearance and when he knew that information.
"We kind of treat him separately," a source close to the investigation told WESH 2 News of Lee Anthony. "He knows what he has done."
The lawyer for Lee Anthony said on Sunday that Lee is working out of town and trying to deal with his father's issues the best he can.
Investigators also said that they are still looking into possible charges against Lee Anthony. However, Conway said Lee Anthony is not asking for immunity from prosecution because the family isn't sure why he would need it.
Meanwhile, the attorney for George and Cindy Anthony said the strain of waiting so long to bury Caylee was a contributing factor to George's desire to harm himself.
"In our culture, burying your loved on is one of the biggest steps towards healing, and he has not been able to do that," Conway said.
Conway said the outpouring of love and compassion is bringing George Anthony out of the woods.
"He does have that will to live and survive, and he knows he does have a lot to offer those who will go through it and are going through it," Conway said.
At Caylee's memorial, Leona Lieber said she had the same thoughts when her son died after a battle with cancer.
"When I lost my son, I just wanted to be with my son, just like George wants to be with Caylee," Lieber said.

Good point and don't doubt it for a second. But with regard to the paternity, in the instance of an adoption, there would have been a notice placed in the papers to "unknown father of" and if there was not a respondent within the allotted time, the suit would have proceeded. (In AR anyway.)

I think a lot of Casey's friends thought she would never harm Caylee because Casey seemed attentive when Caylee was around but Casey also partied with those same friends. I think if Cindy had taken Casey to court for custody Casey's friends wouldn't have been good character witnesses.

Hmmmmmmm.
Grund knows that the World Knows ~ Cindy accused Jesse of taking and even possibly killing Caylee (implication). I daresay every single one of us here, if it were you or your child, would not be so forgiving. Speaking for myself, I would never be able to forgive a person for doing that to me/mine.
I can feel sadness for what has happened because I loved her too, but.....knowing what they were implying..that's where it ends.
So, that part does not faze me. I might even have brought that up (in a different way) to say I forgive. (can't forget, obviously though). No matter their actions, because that is what he believes in, isn't that what he said?
What did rub me wrong, was Grund's obvious ignorance regarding suicide and depression. He should be corrected about his obvious misinformation. George DID do it, as someone said, and if he wasn't tracked when he was, the ending clearly would have been different. I glad we didn't find out. Anyway, he should be corrected, but I'm not signing in to his site, so it won't be me. I'm afraid of what I might say....
Also, is he saying the difference between he and George is that He has faith and that He believes and George doesn't?? Does he think he is closer to God or something?
Shame on you Grund. Call me....there's something I'd like to talk to you about.......
Methinks that the preacher should not need to blow his horn about how he is such a forgiving fellow--and he would not continue to bring up the implications about them--it's not like the whole world (or anyone in the world, probably) for one minute tho't that Jesse was the one who murdered Caylee. How about, just a "hope you are doing better" note to George, and he doesn't have to let the rest of the world know. Or, if he feels he must, perhaps he could just write that he had sent George his best wishes for recovery?
And, what is it, implicating that George might not have a relationship w/God--and who is to judge that Rev Grund's relationship is closer or better or stronger than George's or anyone else's? His 15 minutes of fame have been over for some time, I just see him as wanting to continue to be an "important" part of this case, and I just don't think he is. IMO

Oh ITA with you. I was being sarcastic when I said everyone thought of her to be a good mother. IMO being a good mother doesn't include partying all the time, smoking dope, having a different boyfriend every week etc... Just because she was good to Caylee when Caylee was around IMO doesn't mean squat. She didn't support her. She pawned her off to whoever so she could go party and sleep with men. She wasn't a good mother no matter what she acted like in front of people.

Windows-XP has a "feature" (???) with which it is possible to manually crash a system by simply holding the right CTRL key and pressing the "Scroll Lock" key twice. This feature can be turned on by the following steps:
1. Start regedit. (If you are unfamiliar with regedit, please refer to this FAQ)
2. Navigate to:

I have seen those notices here in New Mexico too. It depends a lot on the laws of state. But I have had the theory that Cindy always wanted Caylee for herself. Jesse despite not being Caylee's father proposed and became engaged to Casey. He said on Dateline that a few months after the engagement Casey called it off and said she would rather be alone. Jesse has also said that Cindy often was hostile towards him. Maybe Cindy pushed Casey into breaking off the engagement. She could have felt threatened because if Casey and Jesse married. Jesse would be raising Caylee as his child and the Grunds also loved Caylee since she was born. They would have became her grandparents. I think it is possible the Ant's know how Caylee's father is but they didn't want to share her with him or his family.

Found this
The Format Command
Format is a Microsoft DOS command. It's a command line you can run to remove information from a computer disk, floppy disk or hard disk. It is an external command found in many of the Windows Operating systems. Hard drive formatting is done in three steps:
(1) Low-level formatting creates the physical structure on the hard drive. Partitioning divides the hard drive into logical pieces that become volumes. High-level formatting defines the logical structures on the partition and places at the start of the disk any necessary operating system files.
The format command syntax is the following:
FORMAT drive: [/parameters]
where drive: specifies the volume to format (the hard disk letter followed by a colon) — example format c:
— where [parameters] formats the disk with different options — example format c: /s will copy system files to the formatted disk or format c: /q performs a quick format.
The syntax used between Windows 95, 98 and ME differ slightly from Windows 2000, XP and Vista. To see the available Format command parameters for your operating system, you can type FORMAT /? at the DOS command line.

LP spent $70k of his own money?? *thud*
Well, if he did, at least we know that he had the courage of his convictions. (Which is not to be confused with his conviction(s).)
Yeah that question was asked tonight on the QA session. Someone asked how much of his own money he spent. He said about $70,000. LoL about the convictions/convictions.
I have a hard time believing that too! Sorry I'm just the ultimate pessimist tonight aren't I?
IIRC Leonard was affiliated with a TV station in Sacramento, CA because of some reality bounty hunter program he was involved with.
I don't have proof - but I'll damn sure snoop it out and let you know.
I have a pretty good hunch he hasn't personally financed anything throughout this entire situation. JMO though. :patriot:
I can't prove the above but IIRC LP said something about the reality show he was starting before all this happened - he put the show on hold.
Seriously folks - how long would a reality show continue to finance you and put your case on hold? Just askin'?

I don't know anything about computers. All I know is when he formats them it only takes a few minutes and they are down until he fixes them. When they come back up NOTHING that was on there is left. It's all gone. Wiped clean. History, favorites, passwords, pics, EVERYTHING. GONE. I hate when he does this!!

I would like to know what $70,000 was spent on. I thought it seemed outrageous when he said it but who am I? I don't remember him using any high tech equipment or anything so what that money would have been spent on IDK. Like I said before, I don't like everything about him. This is one of those things I question but still think he's an okay dude.

I don't think this is true. I have seen my DH manually crash our computers. He does it when he wants to upgrade. He keeps wanting to do it to my laptop to upgrade from XP to Vista. I won't let him because it erases EVERYTHING. All my favorites and everything. GONE.
So why not just uninstall WindowsXP and install Windows Vista?
(And despite the fact that Microsoft doesn't support XP much at all, who would want Vista anyway?)

I knew you were being sarcastic lol. I think probably a lot of Casey's friends probably questioned themselves as to why Casey would be partying with them while she has a daughter. A few years ago I had friends in college who had kids and still always wanted to party with me or go to games and places with me. There were times I questioned myself about their parenting. But over time I realized they weren't great parents and even some of them did support their kids financially but they really weren't settling down to raise their kids. I drifted away from those friends and I keep in contact with them ocassionally. I think maybe when Caylee was around her friends Casey played the cute young mom rotinue for them. I laughed looking at her cupid.com profile because Casey pretends to be loving hard working single mom and she even says in one part that she is the mom to her friends.

I have no idea lol! I will ask him though. He has a thing about getting rid of everythign and starting over though. Maybe it's his own personal quirk. Who the heck knows. I'm gonna ask him now though. If he did that would everything get saved? Like would I still have my favorites and everything? He can be very strange with his quirkiness. Don't even get me started on cords. He can't stand to see any kind of cord. Tv cords, video game cords etc... they all have to be hidden. He freaks out about stuff like that.
Oh and I don;t want Vista because I like XP. I'm used to it. Really it comes down to me not wanting to have to go back and look up all my favorites again. PITA!! Oh and the pics. I know, I know just save em to a cd. I just like my computer the way it is.

Did all of you notice a new folder has been added here? It's a folder for everything else we want to discuss. I guess there have been complaints made that we were getting OT too often. So now there's a folder to chit chat in.
Yes I saw that LOL - I guess that means we need to talk about our dogs and kids in the new offtopic thread. I'm cool with it as long as we all continue to bond/relate and discuss this case.

I just don't see LP as having a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. More of a hanger on.
Cameras at the hotel may have Casey on camera the night of the 15th into the 16th!
There were pictures way early that showed Casey in a hotel parking lot. IIRC, it was to show Casey was alone (whatever day/night that was.) I can't remember if there was anyone else around--maybe some of her friends.
