Fox news just spoke with Tim Miller. He said DNA will have to be done and that takes about 3 days to confirm it's little Caylee but his sources tell him it looks as if its her. Tim said this area did not get searched good because of the high water and if I understood correct it was searched when they made the decision to stop the searching because of the water. Just not it showed a snip of the scene and said it was a wooded lot .03 miles from the Anthony's home.
The garbage bag was wrapped in duck tape which can be a good source of finger prints. The size and age of the remains are the same as Caylee.

Thanking God Caylee can now rest in peace. I fully believe this is her. Just had to share.

She was already in jail when it was searched. Someone else could have moved it though. I think they just missed it the first time because they really didn't think she was there.

When would Casey have had the time to move the body there after it had been searched?

It is entirely probable that it was there from the beginning. In the summer, the area would be so overgrown, a searcher could walk right by and not know. Now that the vegetation is dying off due to the weather - peek-a-boo!

There is no way that Casey moved the body after she first disposed of it.

Hopespring Drive is where the Anthony's live. The parents must have passed that school hundreds of times since mid-July.

Of course they are going to say the kidnapper killed the child and now is framing Casey. I heard that the bag had tape on it - please pray that the Liar's fingerprints and maybe a family member's are on that bag.

Guaranteed: All someone has to do is say to Casey "They found your daughter" and Casey would get a morbid 'I'm screwed now' look on her face, as opposed to a happy "GREAT! They found her! She's safe!" reaction.

There are only two missing children of that age from Central Florida. Caylee and Trenton Duckett. I don't think Trenton Duckett would have been driven over 50 miles and left basically up the street from the Anthony's house more than two years ago.

That's the way it is here in Florida. You can look for a body and never find it but it's always found by accident by either a hiker, a surveyor or children playing in the woods. In this case, I believe that a higher power sent that man to that location to find that body before the trial.

If this is Caylee, you are probably right; the defense party line will be that the media attention to Caylee's "abduction" caused her to be killed by the kidnappers. The forensics and pinpointing the date of death become so much more important now.

And IF G&C have been under some delusion all this time, rather than having been covering for Casey, I wish them peace.

Updates on body found near Chickasaw Trail and Suburban Drive

December 11, 2008 - 12:30 PM: At approximately 9:30 AM today the Orange County Sheriff's Office received a telephone call from a man, reported to be a utility worker, who advised he had found what he believed to be the remains of a young child in a wooded area near the intersection of the South Chickasaw Trail and Suburban Drive. Deputies responded to the area and confirmed the report the Sheriff's Office has recieved from the caller. The responding deputies secured the scene and made the appropriate notifications. In response to many questions we have recieved on this discovery, the scene is approximately one half mile from the residence of Caylee Anthony. Beyond proximity to Caylee's home we have nothing at time that would link this discovery to the missing child.

Investigators from the Orange County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit, the agency's Forensics Squad, and investigators working the disappearance of Caylee Anthony responded to the scene to begin the investigative process. The Sheriff's has confirmed that the remains do appear to be those of a young child however the sex, age, or identity of the youngster have not been determined. Investigators have not identified the victim at this point in their investigation nor have they specualted on the cause and manner of death in this case. Future updates will be provided as they become available.

December 11, 2008 - 2:00 PM: Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary arrived at the location where the child's remais were discovered earlier today and provided a brief update.

He confirmed much of the information released earlier today and added that the utility worker's discovery included a child's skull. Investigators have been able to determine that the area where this morning's discovery was made was underwater for several weeks in the wake of Tropical Strom Faye which made the area inacessable to searchers. During his briefing Sheriff Beary advised that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, The Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Orange County Medical Examiner were on the scene to assist with the investigation and the recovery and preservation of any evidence located during the recovery process. Sheriff Beary also advised that this is a top priority case and that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is standing by to receive and expeditiously process any forensice evidence recovered to include DNA. Sheriff Beary declined to discuss anything specific relating to the crime scene other than to say it was located about 50 or 60 feet into the wooded area. We will provide updates as they become available.

I don't know if that link had been posted yet. Supposedly no clothes found in the bag but the remains seem to be undisturbed by animals and are contained within the bag. A real important plus for the forensics team.

Yep a definite plus. Maybe the clothes had something on them so Casey threw them out.

Anyone remember Cindy or Casey saying that Caylee's clothes weren't found yet???

I wonder where they went???

ORLANDO -- George and Cindy Anthony have parted ways with high-profile attorney Mark NeJame.

Both sides announced the resignation Thursday.

>snip<

Anthonys Comment On NeJame
The Anthonys said NeJame wasn't willing to push authorities hard enough to investigate tips or leads.

The decision to part ways with NeJame followed bounty hunter Leonard Padilla and Larry Garrison removing their support for Casey Anthony.

The Anthonys said law enforcement in the state of Florida refuses to help them -- from the sheriff's office all the way up to the attorney general.

In a statement on Thursday, NeJame said he can no longer represent the Anthonys because he has no value to them if they "choose to act and comment at will."

In the statement, NeJame did not directly state if he believed Caylee was still alive, but he did say George and Cindy "have every right to maintain their hope and faith that one of these 'sightings' will miraculously be the one that brings Caylee home to them."

NeJame stated that while he does have his own opinion on Caylee, the only person who knows the truth is the toddler's mother, Casey.

Yes I remember Casey saying that. She could've disposed of them in one of the trash bins at Sawgrass or Amscot.

As a mother, I cannot imagine when Casey realized and saw Caylee dead from whatever she did to her. If she did duct tape her mouth while she slept, you know she could have aspirated on her own spit or vomit. I just
cant imagine her being locked in the trunk in the dark. It would take a "real"
monster to do this to a baby. (jmo)

I think they will prove that Casey duct taped Caylee's mouth while she was in the trunk so no one would hear her if she cried after she woke up from her chloroform sleep. One, to keep her quiet. . . or a bag and tape might be applied to cover the body after death. The killer may not have been able to look at her, which is often the case when it is a loved one (right?). The details about the tape have not been confirmed by an official source yet, have they?

Update On Human Remains Found Near Anthony Family Home

...Sources close to the investigation say that remnants of duct tape were found on both the skull and the trash bag. Those items are now being compared to tape and bags that had previously been collected from the car Casey Anthony was driving at the time of her daughter's disappearance...

http://blogs.discovery.com/criminal_report/2008/12/update-on-human.html?cid=142373958#comments

Ashleigh Banfield mentioned awhile ago on CNN that there was story she covered in which a woman murdered her husband and tossed his remains in trash bags and later based on the striations the police linked the bags to the bags in the women's house. Ashleigh said that they could do the same with the Anthony's.

IMO if there were no clothing in the bag it had to be long hair that the man saw that made him think it was a female. If that hair matches the hair found in the trunk there is no more saying that it could be the neighbors or somebody else who may have died in the trunk. Kobe is so done if that's the case.

When I first seen this this morning I felt like I had been punched in the gut. I so badly want it to be Caylee so she gets a proper burial. On the other hand I hate to think of the duct tape over her mouth and what exactly may have happened to her. Makes me physically ill to think about this. I don't see how any mother could intentionally do this to their child. I think I always to a degree thought it was an accidental overdose of chloroform. That to me was easier to accept than this new thought that Casey intentionally killed Caylee in such a horrible way. It's terrible either way I know but this new duct tape over the mouth thing really has me sick.

Lenard P. is feeling this. Maybe he's not so bad. From what I gathered so far, the Anthony's remain in denial. I guess they have a couple of days left to play that card. I'm with the idea that when it is proven to be Caylee's body, they are going to crash badly. The only thing they are guilty of (really) is stupidity and fear.

Man, I really want to think good thoughts about LP, and it would have helped a heckuva lot if he hadn't actually vocalized that he feels vindicated when he was interviewed.

And you know it's telling that the Anthony's haven't offered condolences to the family of whomevers' child this is. They know it's probably Caylee. They know.

She knows her goose is cooked now. If this wasn't Caylee there would be no reason for her to have anxiety attacks. Casey is incapable of having feeling for anyone but herself. If this was another child Casey would care less what was going on. She's having anxiety attacks because she knows she's gonna get the needle, have to face mommy and daddy who will know the truth, and she has probably now realized a plea should have been made months ago. Atleast then she could have said it was an accident. Now.....she's SCREWED!!

I've been watching intently since this morning (when first reported during my court show) and I just wanted to say that I do indeed hope it's Caylee and that the rest of the family can have some closure. It's so sad that people who call themselves parents and claim that they love their child could be so cruel and selfish that they would kill their own child. I heard that Casey is upset and have panic and anxiety attacks (probably due to the fact that she knows she's in a LOT of trouble), and she had them coming. She deserves EVERYTHING she gets. I also want to say that Caylee is with God now, she won't hurt anymore.

The duct tape has me sick too. In my opinion, this is another instance of premeditation. I know nothing much about forensics, but how long does it take for the bones to come apart? (Sorry if this is offensive). I know they come apart after years, but a few months I don't know. If the skull fell out of the bag, could Casey have broken her neck? I really don't know but I would assume that once the ligaments, tendons, etc are gone there would be nothing holding the bones together. I'm not sure how long that takes. The skull would have been separated from the body because there is no more soft tissue to hold it together - it doesn't mean in any way that Casey broke Caylee's neck -

Also, I am confused - if there is no soft tissue left, how can anyone say that the mouth, eyes, etc. were taped shut - once the tissue is gone, the tape would just be loose lying in the bag - there would be nothing for it to be attached to -

Where is all this speculation coming from? The news reports I have been watching are releasing very little info about the condition of what has been found, yet folks are talking on here like they know intimate details -

Found this a while back about the stages of death and decomposition. Surely this is all dependent on temperature and humidity, the mil of the bag, whether or not the bag was ever buried, etc. etc.

http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Death/Stages.html

(The 3:46 update at WFTV says that the remains have been removed from the scene. And BTW, if this is Caylee, I hope The State throws in a charge of abuse of a corpse against Casey or whomever put that baby's body out in the elements.)

TheSkwerl

I think that once the flesh, muscles, tendons, etc. has decomposed which depends on the weather, animal activity, etc. has a lot to do with the time toward skeletonization. Could take a month, could take a few months for skeletonization. Another determining factor is cause of death (broken neck perhaps, strangulation) and if the remains were dumped there and the death happened somewhere else.

I realize that - obviously they have dna testing to do, we really have no info as to what will be found in the bag - I heard earlier that they will do testing on the bag before removing the remains from it to see if there is or has been chlorform residue in the bag - etc - I am sure they will be working 24/7 to get a positive ID - someone mentioned earlier the other missing child in the area - Trenton Duckett - that is probably the only other possibility, but the proximity to the Anthony home makes it seem almost impossible that it is anyone other than Caylee -

One2 I heard the duck tape on the skull on Fox News...this was reported byGeraldo Rivera who said it was unconfirmed. If I'm not mistaken Geraldo was in contact with someone on the scene in Orlando.

To my understanding the remains will not be removed until the rain decreases or stops because it hinders gathering the forensics. I believe the forensics if any found with the remains will determine if the DP is put back on the table. For example if duck tape is proven to be on little Caylee's mouth it would show the child suffered. But say traces of chloroform is present the defense can argue an accidental over dose which asking for the DP is that kind of case is not likely. An opinion only. fep

Fox Orlando reports that Baez has been in the jail to see the Liar.

The remains have been removed but everything is still under lockdown. It's been raining all day but now the sun is coming out. Hopefully it will help in the evidence search.

The police have met George and Cindy and have escorted them out of the airport and it's unknown where they are all headed. People on the plane said Cindy was very visibly upset and crying.

Reports are that Baez has already filed a motion to preserve any evidence that is found. I would imagine that the defense would want someone in the lab during the autopsy or examination of the remains.

You know, I gave the Liar way too much credit. I thought she was smarter than she actually appears to be. If she didn't buy so many groceries with the stolen money, she could have bought three gallons of gasoline, drove 15 miles east into the swamp where there are no houses or anything but birds and gators for miles. She could have dumped the body there and it would never have been found. Instead she's at home to steal food, she sees she's ready to run out of gas so she dumps the body less than 30 seconds from her house and barely into the woods.

:rose: for little Caylee. fep

Forgot to say Miller is flying out to Orlanda.Let me tell you a little something about duct tape I just learned. I was watching a forensics show in a true case where the perp tried to wipe off prints on duct tape and was very successful except for one thing, they have now found a way to get fingerprints from the sticky side of the tape. And most people do not know this. If Casey wiped her prints off , she would have no way to wipe them on the inside. It is really difficult and it was the FBI at Quantico that developed this new procedure.

Surely Cindy and George do not want to grieve on tv. And it would be pointless to come on tv and say it is not her because the tests WILL confirm it one way or another . It is kind of weird to show the old program though I guess it will get ratings from people who will be interested now that they have found the body. Lots of people who are not true crime buffs lose interest in a case after the first few weeks until like verdict day or something dramatic happens, so it will probably get ratings even if it is a repeat.

Wonder what spin the Anthonys are going to put on this now. If they continue to deny Casey's involvement, I've spent my last minute trying to understand them.Boy,deputy you took the words right out of my mouth. There is this part of me that feels terrible for them obviously because now there is the finality and they did love that child. , but if they go on tv and spin that the media caused the kidnappers to kill her and oh poor Casey is devastated at what Zanny did, then I can't understand them. You can't realistically ignore the trunk evidence, the lies, her behavior afterward now. You just can't but for now, man how awful for them. And Casey must really think she is toast, the avenue of she is out there somewhere is closed now if that is her. And that was a huge chunk of the defense. If Baez has has any sense he will tell her to plead.

I really don't know but I would assume that once the ligaments, tendons, etc are gone there would be nothing holding the bones together. I'm not sure how long that takes. I would think that by having all the bones they will be able to conclude if her neck was in fact broken. Gosh I hope not. This is all too sad. They will be able to tell if the neck is broken or if was just separated because of decomp. That will not be hard because they have the bones. OMG They just said the LKL is new that they will be talking about the bones found near their home. EXPERTS REACT

Dr. Michael Baden, a forensics expert, said DNA tests would likely confirm what other evidence at the scene would tell investigators (watch Baden interview). For example, detectives said there was duct tape on the bag and the skull that were found. Baden said detectives would be able to match that tape and bag to other tape and bags they had previously gathered from the trunk of Casey Anthony's car.

I have searched as well and can only find that duct tape was found around the skull of the remains. I think they are hopeful that duct tape is a great medium for eveidence. I am pretty positive the remains will be Caylee and I am just as sure Cindy will try to spin it to be the "kidnappers". Gator one of the dumbest things she did was to keep that body in the trunk for so long. You know if there was no smell the trunk would probably not have been scrutinized so closely . And how will the defense say "no it is just a coincidence that the dogs hit and there was mitro dna on a hair with an apparent death band in Caseys car. It is all wrong, all bad science, dogs are faulty. All of it is just bogus. " Contrary to what the absurd comment of the defense attorney said on Jane Velez this is not good news for the defense it is devastating for them.

Sheriff: Anthony home may be a crime scene

ORLANDO, Florida (CNN) -- Authorities cordoned off the home of missing toddler Caylee Anthony's grandparents on Thursday, hours after the remains of a small child were found nearby.

The sheriff's office in Orange County, Florida, said it is seeking a warrant to search the home of George and Cindy Anthony.

Sheriff Kevin Beary said the home has been secured "pending more investigation." The house has the "possibility of being more of a crime scene later," he added.

A child's skull was found at about 9:30 a.m. by a utility meter reader who alerted authorities, sheriff's spokesman Jim Solomons said. Investigators, including those from the Anthony case, rushed to the scene, he added. Watch investigators swarm the scene »

CNN affiliate WFTV reported that the meter reader picked up a plastic bag at the site and a skull fell out. The remains have been removed by the medical examiner and will be sent to the FBI lab at Quantico, Virginia, Sheriff Beary said.

The agency has told its lab analysts that the case is top priority, Beary added. "If they have to work through the weekend, they'll work through the weekend."

"Bottom line, it's real simple, folks," Beary said. "We've recovered this human skull, it appears to be that of a small child, and now the investigation continues. We've got a lot of lab work to do, a lot of DNA work to do, a lot of crime scene work to do. We could be here all night." Watch the sheriff talk about what needs to be done »

Prosecutors have asked police not to disclose many details surrounding the discovery, Beary said.

Caylee Anthony, 3, has been missing since June in a case that has received national attention. Casey Anthony, the child's 22-year-old mother, was charged last month with murder and other offenses. She is being held at the Orange County Jail.

The area where the remains were found had been searched as part of the investigation into Caylee's disappearance, he said. But the precise spot where a county meter reader found them -- "45, 50, 60 feet back" from the street -- was flooded at the time of the search.

No clothes were found with the remains, Beary said.

Asked whether the remains could belong to another child, Beary said, "Not that we know of, but that's always a possibility, and that's why we've got a lot of work to do on this case still."

Earlier, authorities said the Anthony family had been notified of the discovery. The remains were found "in very close proximity" to the Anthony home, Solomons said. View a map of where the remains were found »

An attorney for Casey Anthony filed legal papers Thursday afternoon seeking a court order to preserve all evidence collected, and to permit the defense to conduct its own forensic testing. A hearing has been scheduled for Friday morning.

In a court hearing earlier Thursday, 9th Circuit Judge Stan Strickland postponed Casey Anthony's trial at the request of defense attorney Jose Baez. The attorney said he had not received all the evidence due him from prosecutors and was not ready to proceed with the January 5 trial.

Baez asked Strickland whether the trial could be delayed until March. The judge scheduled a hearing January 15 to consider a new trial date as well as a possible change of venue.

Casey Anthony remains in protective custody and has no contact with other inmates, corrections officials said.

"She has been seen by a Corrections Health Services psychologist and her status was reviewed," officials said in a statement, adding Anthony was under psychological observation -- which is not the same as suicide watch.

Baez arrived at the jail just before noon Thursday and stayed about an hour and a half, officials said.

Prosecutors said this month that they would not seek the death penalty against Casey Anthony. If convicted of murder, she could be sentenced to life in prison.

Authorities have said Casey Anthony waited about a month before telling her family that Caylee was gone. Cindy Anthony -- Caylee's grandmother and Casey Anthony's mother -- called the Orange County sheriff's office July 15, saying her daughter would not tell her where Caylee was.

When questioned, Casey Anthony gave conflicting statements to police, including some that were later disproved, according to hundreds of documents and investigative reports released in the case.

She claimed that she dropped Caylee off with a baby-sitter, but when police checked out her story, they learned that the address Casey Anthony supplied belonged to an apartment that had been vacant for weeks. The woman Casey Anthony named as her baby-sitter told police she did not know her.

Investigators have said that cadaver dogs picked up the scent of death in Anthony's car, as well as in her parents' backyard. They also said air quality tests conducted by the FBI found evidence consistent with human decomposition and chloroform in the car's trunk. A neighbor told police Anthony had asked to borrow a shovel.

Also, an analysis of Anthony's computer found that she had visited Web sites discussing chloroform and had done Internet searches on missing children, according to information released in the case.

"There isn't a motive, and they haven't found a motive," Cindy Anthony said Wednesday night on CNN's "Larry King Live." Watch Cindy Anthony insist her daughter is innocent »

She added, "They told us they thought it was an accident, and she's scared and tried to cover it up. They don't feel there's a motive."

Cindy Anthony stressed that five searches for the girl's body have "come up with nothing. There's nothing that they have found that, you know, has given them any evidence that Caylee is no longer with us."

The Anthonys said they believe that the girl is still alive and that someone has her, noting several reports of sightings.

Last month, Strickland denied prosecutors' request to impose a gag order in Anthony's case, saying he could not state that continued publicity would pose a threat to her trial or even that a gag order would stem the flood of media attention.

Minute-To-Minute Update In Remains Discovery
Thursday, December 11, 2008 6:40:15 PM

ORLANDO -- The remains of a small child were discovered early Thursday morning by a worker for the Orange County Water Department. We are following this story closely with constant updates.

Minute-To-Minute Update
6:08 p.m.: A search warrant has been signed for investigators to go into the Anthony home. They could be at the house between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. to serve the warrant.

6:03 p.m.: Deputies called off the search at the scene for the evening. The Sheriff's office will remain out at the site overnight. They also said the utility worker went into the woods to relieve himself when he found the bag. He opened the bag, noticed the bones and called police. The Sheriff's office clarified the bag was found only 20 to 30 feet into the woods. Sheriff Beary told reporters earlier in the afternoon it was found 50 to 60 feet.

5:46 p.m.: Tim Miller, founder of Texas EquuSearch says that the area where the child's remains were found was under water when they tried to search in September. They suspended the search because they were afraid they would push any possible remains down into the mud or destroy them. "The smartest move I ever made was to stop the search the first time," Miller said.

5:01 p.m.: Texas EquuSearch arrives on the scene where the remains were found. Also, Todd Black, Jose Baez' spokesman, said Baez would not be making a statement until the medical examiner releases her findings.

4:58 p.m.: Beary tells News 13 that they are going to let the ground around the alleged crime scene dry overnight and start searching for evidence again on Friday morning.

4:25 p.m.: Casey's attorney Jose Baez files a motion to preserve and inspect evidence and forensics in Thursday's discovery. It will be heard Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. Read the Motion.

4:20 p.m.: The Anthonys arrive at Orlando International Airport from a trip to California.

4:10 p.m.: Beary told the media, "I want no craziness at the Anthony house."

4:05 p.m.: Mark NeJame, the former attorney for George and Cindy Anthony, tells News 13 that he has spoken with lead detective John Allen and with the FBI. He said Allen told him that the Anthonys were called about the remains before they left California so they would not find out from the media.

NeJame also said that part of the reason he resigned as the Anthony's lawyer was because they were in denial about their daughter's involvement in Caylee's disappearance and that he could not endorse them saying Casey is innocent. "I resigned a few weeks ago because I could not support, in any way, shape or form, Casey."

"I've been expecting this day for a while and although it is a very, very sad day, I think in many ways we can now really pass on our full blessings to this child and allow her to go in the peace that she deserves and allowing her mother to be prosecuted as she deserves," NeJame said.

3:50 p.m.: Sheriff is trying to get a warrant to search the Anthony home. The remains have been removed from the discovery scene.

3:30 p.m.: Beary says sheriff's office is seeking a search warrant for the Anthony's home. Beary said the Anthonys are being cooperative and warns he does not want "craziness" at the Anthony home. The home has been secured as a possible crime scene.

2:07 p.m.: According to the sheriff's office, the body was found approximately 50 to 60 feet into the woods. Sheriff Beary said the State Attorney's Office has asked them not to release any information about the evidence found.

Sheriff: Definite Possibility Remains Are Caylee
Baez Files Emergency Motion Regarding Newly Found Remains

POSTED: 10:47 am EST December 11, 2008
UPDATED: 6:11 pm EST December 11, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A warrant is being sought to search the Anthony family home Thursday after remains of a small child were found nearby, according to a sheriff's spokesman.

Orange County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jim Solomons confirmed the remains were found in a sealed plastic bag along Suburban Drive by a meter reader who called authorities about 9:30 a.m. The utility worker that discovered the remains said a skull rolled out of the bag when he picked it up. Sources close to the investigation told WESH 2 and NBC News that duct tape was found on the mouth.

A medical examiner took the remains from the scene on Thursday afternoon.

Earlier Thursday, the Orange County Jail was notified and expected to inform Casey Anthony of the situation.

Sources said that upon hearing the news, Casey Anthony had what was described as an anxiety attack and requested sedatives.

Todd Black, the spokesman for Jose Baez, who is Casey Anthony's attorney, said Anthony's camp is currently taking a wait-and-see attitude regarding the discovery.

Black said they want to find out what exactly the discovery is sooner rather than later.

Baez went to the Orange County Jail to be with his client. Later Thursday, Baez filed an emergency motion to ensure his involvement in the testing of the newly found remains. A hearing is scheduled for Friday at 11:30.

Lee's girlfriend went into the house today because she has been talking care of the animals while they were gone (2 yorkies and a black cat). The police made her exit the house. Perhaps they removed the two dogs and made her take them with her. Lee better marry that girl. If she stuck with him through all this, he shouldn't lose her.

Fox News did mention that police didn't allow her back in. Sometime back there were rumors that she and Lee broke up. I bet this whole thing is taking a toll on her.

Local news had home video taken by a young man who lives just on the other side of the fence where the body was found. He filmed through the chain link fence. he said that up to two weeks ago, that area was swampy and still covered in water. It has been so unusually cold, really cold that a lot of vegetation has died. The cold weather, as unusual as it has been, was a blessing.

It is just my my opinion but I think it is more likely there are going to try and match up that tape and garbage bags. Also remember Tony said that the other garbage bag came from his apartment, so they should be searching his apartment too. She could have just bought the tape and pitched it.

You know, that isn't good enough for me. I need George and Cindy to really say they know their daughter killed her baby. As long as they back the Liar, the Liar is happy. I truly think the worst punishment for the Liar would be her parents turning their backs on her. Remember how her face lit up when she had her parents' undivided attention? Well if they tell her that they know she's a liar, a thief, a tramp and a murderer, it would kill her.

Bam! Dr Cyril Wecht was on Hannity and Colmes and pointed out that they will take the hair with the decomp band and compare it with any hair found in that grave or bag and take a microscope and compare it side by side. Can you imagine how damning this will be? If the hairs are microscopically the same and the mitro dna is the same, unless they can prove someone else was driving Caseys car who had motive, means and opportunity to kill Caylee, how will Bias (Baez) defend against that? How? Also if I were him I would point out to Casey that if the jury convicts her they will play those tapes of her leading her parents on,, they will play the tapes of her lying like hell to LE and a judge will throw the book at her if it is a judges decision to decide the penalty. If they put the death penalty back on, a jury will not be sympathetic. Her best bet is to avoid airing those tapes in court .

Just thinking off the top of my head........Your theory is beyond good. If it is true she was on that road at that point, I can totally put myself in her place which sickeningly I do often when trying to figure things out. If she went to her parents house to retrieve the body or just went to try and bury it there and she got the shovel that day and lets say she decides naw this won't work I can't leave it in the backyard too obvious, so she pulls into garage and then puts Caylee back in trunk. Then she goes on her merry way and aw hell she runs out of gas a few blocks from her parents house. Does she want that body back there when Tony picks her up?What if he smells something and insists on looking for the source of the smell.? Get out of the car fast, look around, , drag the body into the woods just far enough off the road to be unseen but not so far you get all kinds of mud or dirt or brambles on yourself. Don't want to mess up your shoes. And come back out and wait for Tony. By the way have you been lurking? With ideas like this, you should post more often. I would love to find out where Casey ran out of gas if on that road . Did she then run out of gas again on another day at the check cashing place?

Wasn't it around the 24th that Casey ran out of gas in her parents subdivision and she and Tony went and broke into the shed and got the gas cans that same day? If this is so then grave chasers theory may have some real potential as maybe that was the day she hid the body in that wooded area so close to home in a panic. It would mean she had the body in the trunk for about eight days which is exactly how long Perper said it would have to be for the trunk to smell so bad for so long. I am seeing bits and pieces of that on message boards but am having trouble finding the info and my adobe is giving trouble so it is hard to go back and look at Tony's interview. I think Baden is taking a long shot here, because I think you would have to have lung tissue specifically or brain tissue to detect chloroform and if she used it one time it would probably not be in hair, would it?

What I took from Baden was that the hair would show if she had been cloroformed in the past. It could very well be in hair after one time though. I don't know a lot about it but I do know that drugs stay in your hair for a very long time.

Baez: People have been wrong before

Last Edited: Thursday, 11 Dec 2008, 9:07 PM EST
Created: Thursday, 11 Dec 2008, 9:07 PM EST

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- The defense attorney for Casey Anthony said Thursday night that ‘people have been wrong before’.

Earlier Thursday the remains of a small child were found near the Anthony home in East Orange County. Investigators spent the day pouring over the area and the remains were sent to the FBI lab in Quantico Virginia for analysis.

Late Tuesday night attorney Jose Baez appeared outside his office in Kissimmee.

I understand the circumstances as they are would lead most people to believe that these are Caylee’s remains. But I must stress it’s not,” Baez said “People have been wrong before.”

“So unfortunately we can’t make any comments and I think it would be inappropriate for me to make any comments until the medical examiners office makes their determination.” Baez added. “Once that determination is made…this obviously takes the case in a different direction but I have done and am doing everything I can as Casey’s representative and attorney to put us in the position to defend her.”

Baez fended off questions concerning any interaction he had with his client during the day Thursday at the Orange County Jail when the remains were found. According to reports Casey was given a sedative and said she was having an anxiety attack.

“From day one,” said Baez in closing, “We have been preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.”

I wonder what this was all about, I feel certain something had happened to Caylee by this time of the first phone call and she was either going to try out her kidnapping story and thought better of it because she had not go rid of the body, thus she really was afraid her parents would call police with her not having hid the body yet or she was trying to figure out if her parents were home to hide the body there. Thus I would say if George truly saw them go out the door around 1 pm Caylee died before this first phone call. This is not a normal pattern of hi how you doing phone calls? You know after you called once you would just call back later , not keep doing it in a flurry like this.

Yeah I think she may have run out of gas in her parents neighborhood as early as the 20th and dumped the body in the wooded area that very day. By the 27th when she finally leaves the car at Amscot she must have tried a few things to get rid of that smell. Although this is sooner than Perper said, it may be just an estimate and maybe four days in that heat and humidity. made it smell really , really bad. I think she could of dumped Caylee's body much sooner than I had previously thought. She may have put the detergent in the back of the car to cover that smell and put garbage back there to kind of mask it and nothing worked, thus say goodbye to car on the 27th.

Was looking for this earlier' I'm a little confuzzled about the running out of gas; apparently it happened twice in June. This timeline shows it happening the first time on the 20th:

http://www.tcbwebs.com/Ant_Timeline.htm

The TL interview skips over the first time (the time that they took G's gas cans out of the shed), and discusses in some detail the Amscot episode:

http://www.docstoc.com/docs/1642961/Lazaro-Anthony---Statement

(Sorry, forgot to take note of what page it was discussed on.)

I just don't seem to have the brainpower to conjure up a definitive answer, but I think I'm reading this correctly. (We really do need a crying [or foot stomping] smiley.)

http://www.topix.com/forum/source/south-florida-sun-sentinel/T0L8GKDH12B2PQK07/p34 I will bet you money she dumped the body in a panic that day. You would not go far into the woods if you are waiting for someone to pick you up and you know Casey would not want to get too dirty. I bet Tony now realizes he picked her up very close to where that body was found. She must have been panicking her ass off when she ran out of gas. He may not have smelled anything because maybe she just took the gas cans a ways from her car or took it very quickly. She probably wanted to put the gas in the car herself so Tony would not get too near the trunk.

I will bet you money she dumped the body in a panic that day. If I was Casey, I would have been sure to splash a little on myself too, to cover any lingering odor from (the decomposition) having been driving around in the car.

I haven't heard anything about a cross. Tell tell!

There was some discussion back when LP was searching the river about the fact that Casey had a gold cross (purchased from JCPenney(?), and that she had perhaps bought another one for Caylee. There was also some talk about whether or not Cindy had found a receipt for the charge(s) on her account.

Well naturally I have to work tomorrow night till eight and will get home just in time to see Dateline which I think was going to be told heavily from the Anthonys point of view, bet they revamp that. So I will miss most of LKL but will at least tune in here to see what is up and see what you all say. I need to get off here but just want to say a little three year old does not belong in the woods in a garbage bag, so sad. I can't help but think she was laying out there so long by herself. I know that makes no sense given she was dead but still it is so sad and so, so stupid, Casey did this for her freedom I think and partly out of spite. and now look at her. She has to be really , really sweating it out much more now. Gone are the chances that those sightings will help her at all. They will date those bones somewhat and all of those sightings will be of course bogus even to the dumbest juror. Her life is over now for all practical purposes. Even Baez said this changes things, so he probably knows. And I have to say after reading that article and statement of NeJame's my hat is off to him for getting out before his integrity was trashed and refusing to support this fantasy.

I was thinking that cross may have been what was in the bag. NG talked about some mystery item that would warrant the A's home to be searched without them there. What could they find in the home that has to do with that necklace though? The receipt? Didn't they already have all Cindy's receipts and cc statements? Maybe Casey's necklace that matches it?

Geraldo on Caylee Anthony
by FOX News Crews
By Geraldo Rivera, Host of ‘Geraldo at Large’

UPDATE - 5:15p et – I can report exclusively after several conversations with lead defense attorney Jose Baez that his client Casey Anthony reacted “very badly” to today’s news of the child’s body being discovered. “She was crying and sobbing,” according to Baez. Furthermore, she had to be given a sedative to calm her.

3:15p et – Speaking with sources at the heart of this deeply troubling case just minutes after the news broke this morning that a small child’s body had been found near the Anthony family home in Orlando, I was told by those sources that, “…this is not a false alarm;” and that “there is strong indication” that the body found this morning is that of missing Florida toddler Caylee Anthony. Also that, “there is every indication” that it is the child’s body.

Further, I am told that the skeletal remains “appear to match” the missing child’s approximate size and age.

In other words, if the remains found are not those of Caylee, then they are the remains of another homicide victim of the same age, size, and approximate date of death. That is extremely unlikely.

If, as I believe, they will within days be confirming that the remains found today are those of Caylee, then her mother’s defense team has lost its leverage to negotiate a plea deal. Having already taken the death penalty off the table, the State and the defense have held intensive plea negotiations in which Casey would have been sentenced to a lesser homicide plea and serve say, ten or fifteen years. In exchange, Casey would have pled guilty to a lesser homicide charge and told prosecutors everything about how, when, and why she killed her child, and who, if anyone, was also involved at any stage of the terrible process.

Now attention turns to the forensic treasure trove the tiny body and garbage bag represent. The sticky side of the gaffer tape used is an excellent surface for preserving fingerprints, lasting even after being submerged. If traces of chloroform are found in the bag, then that might add weight to the theory that the child was killed accidentally after being dosed by a reckless and selfish young mom who wanted the baby to sleep when she went out to party. We do know that Casey researched chloroform on her home computer.

On the other hand, if the tape found was found on the child’s body and not just used to seal the garbage bag in which the missing child was reportedly disposed, then that indicates the child suffered during the commission of her murder. If that is so, then the death penalty would again be very much on the table.

But there is a new caveat for the prosecution. If the fingerprints on the tape or garbage bag do not match the defendant Casey Anthony then, the investigation would have to widen to include either accomplices or the ‘real’ murderer. Having built the initial murder charge on the wealth of circumstantial evidence, now prosecutors must hope the physical evidence matches their initial theory. Much more to come.

Watch ‘Geraldo at Large‘ this Saturday at 10p et for the latest info and exclusive interviews with those closest to the case.

It's hard not to think about Caylee singing "don't take my sunshine away". Which is exactly what happened; the dark trunk, the garbage bag, being underwater, her future snuffed out.

It's hard to know what the telltale item is, and it's hard to know why the rumor (or fact) began that the remains are a girl child rather than a boy.

And this is way OT, but I'm a little concerned about the meter reader taking a leak in the woods near the elementary school and so close to a busy street and residential area. But I'll have to give him a pass since his discovery broke this case wide open.

I bet it was long hair that made the man think it was female remains. What else could it be?

About him whizzing in those woods.....well I guess you gotta go when you gotta go. I'm actually glad he went there lol

I really hope that this is Caylee! IMO I think it is, otherwise why would Baez be so quick to request that the defense be able to have someone there when they are testing the remains. If he was still in delusional city with the rest of the Anthonys he would still be believing their BS and not care about the remains...I truly hope that if the forensics prove that it is Caylee that C&G put their money where their mouth is (this is about Caylee, we're here for Caylee) and do right by that precious little angel and stand up for her, by shunning that evil b%$ch,
that I think would hurt her... not nearly as much as she deserves but I think they owe this to that beautiful, innocent child.

I know in my heart it is Caylee. In Australia there has been no news on the discovery of Caylees body and I only found out right now. As I read the CNN report hundreds of people down the road began to sing Christmas hymns and it brought tears to my eyes; I felt as if they were singing for her.
Thankyou Lord, now we can lay this sweet little child who has touched all of our hearts, to rest! I pray for the Anthony's this must be just heartbreaking for them and even though I have disagreed with the defense of their daughter I never wished this for them. My heart goes out to them in this time of need! :rose:RIP Little Caylee, we love you!

I remember reading that and thinking it was strange that Tony said she was adamant about pouring the gas herself when she had no problem asking him to break the lock on the shed for her. At the time I thought Caylee was in the boot at the time; I now realise she had beenin the boot and Casey had only JUST dumped that sweet little girls body in the bush as if she were trash. It will look VERY bad for her when Tony tells how natural and happy she was while he was there. It will clarify for the jury how easily she could disconnect her emotions from the death of her child.

Ok, so didn't Casey run out of gas or something on Chicsaw Drive and call Tony to come help her? I wonder if this is the same spot. Maybe Caylee was in the trunk at that time and she had to throw her wherever she could because Tony was coming, foiling her plans for a more discreet dumping ground?

Just thinking off the top of my head........

She ran out of gas at the Amscott on Colonial and Goldenrod. It's about a six minute drive in distance. She knew she was on fumes and had to dump the body before she stalled and had to leave it close to home.

According to phone records, Casey makes the following calls:

6/16
Mon
3:03
Casey calls George Anthony's Cell

6/16
Mon
4:10
Casey calls Cindy Anthony's Work

6/16
Mon
4:11
Casey calls Cindy Anthony's Cell

6/16
Mon
4:13
Casey calls Cindy Anthony's Cell

6/16
Mon
4:14
Casey calls Cindy Anthony's Work

6/16
Mon
4:19
Casey calls Anthony Lazaro

6/16
Mon
4:21
Casey calls Jesse Grund

6/16
Mon
4:24
Casey calls Cindy Anthony's Cell

6/16
Mon
6:32 pm
Casey calls the Anthony Home

6/16
Mon
6:33 pm
Casey calls Voicemail

I wonder what this was all about, I feel certain something had happened to Caylee by this time of the first phone call and she was either going to try out her kidnapping story and thought better of it because she had not go rid of the body, thus she really was afraid her parents would call police with her not having hid the body yet or she was trying to figure out if her parents were home to hide the body there. Thus I would say if George truly saw them go out the door around 1 pm Caylee died before this first phone call. This is not a normal pattern of hi how you doing phone calls? You know after you called once you would just call back later , not keep doing it in a flurry like this.

She wanted to put the body in the yard and wanted to make sure none was at home.

<snip>I heard on NG (as all of you did) that she can't plead guilty and get the DP off the table. So I don't expect her to stop denying the obvious.<snip>
:rose:
That's only partially true. If the pros puts the death penalty back on the table, she could negotiate for LWOP with a guilty plea. The pros would have to agree to it and Casey would have to stand before the Judge and the whole world and tell what she did. IMO that's not going to ever happen.

I'm sure men relieve themselves in the woods all over the world. ;-)
I guess he doesn't want that bit of information to be connected with his face. I was waiting for him to eat the camera today but he never got on. The guy probably has the reporters hounding him already. The headlines would be awful. "This is the man who peed in the woods and found Caylee!!!"

Yes I'm glad he went there too but I'm one of those left brainers who believes her spirit called him there to take her home. He had no choice. He was compelled to go there. Strangers have shown more love for this child than her own family. I'm still trying to understand how Cindy (the born again grandmother) could have endured not seeing Caylee for a month and believing she was fine. Cindy raised this child and saw her every day of her life. I would have been all over that.

LP said on Nancy Grace that when nature called he found something in the woods and LP also said he gives the guy credit for looking in the bag because other people would leave it there. I think the identity of the guy won't be known for awhile. Maybe he doesn't want media attention and I think any time a person finds a corpse like that are effected emotionally. I'm praying for this man's well-being.

It could have happened. Tony did a q and a for Scared Monkeys message boards and he said that the day he picked up Casey he was in a hurry because he had turn in a project for school. Maybe on the phone he told Casey that he was in a hurry because of the project and she dumped the body quickly.

The dog hit near the playground in the back.....and where they where installing concrete pavers
May be a problem wth the sand idea....after all that rain?

If there was sand found in the bag, they could compare it to the sand in the sandbox/under the pavers...rain or not, they could show if it came from there or not.
