I think that Cindy was extremely upset and scared. I myself am a very negative person and tend to always think the worst. Being put it the situation she was, I don't know how exactly I would have reacted, but if I smelled something even close to the smell of a dead body, I know the thought would probably cross my mind. I can't explain the smell, but for Caylees sake I sure hope that was not what she smelled. But I do think that if DNA showed a dead body was in there, Casey would have already been charged with more. As far as her backing the car up to the garage that day, Isn't that about the time she moved out? Maybe she was loading clothes or something she was moving.... The shovel...? ....I have no idea. And the dogs were not consistant with hits in the back yard so I have lost all faith in them.
Too many lies, all LIES... If one doesn't work, try another. She sent LE on so many wild goose chases to buy time, asked her mother for "one more day" when cindy rang 911 and reported Caylee missing... One more day for what, exactly?
Did she need gas cans as part of her move? And when she returned them, why did she try to hide them from her father?
If she was busy moving, was she so conscientious that she'd go to the trouble of borrowing a shovel just to keep the bamboo in check?
She backed her car into the garage on the same day she asked the neighbour for the shovel. And then the gas cans went missing. Busy girl.
Not too busy to party, though... Just too busy to report her missing child. If her mother hadn't done it, she'd probably still be partying while having nannies and baby sitters take care of Caylee and take her to the beach and to theme parks... I wonder who paid for that? Of course, I don't believe for a moment the child had a "nanny", let alone one that took her places and lived in an appartment that had been vacant for months, where no-one knew of such a person...
Casey is in over her head and going deeper with every day that goes by, IMO. She should just come clean, whatever happened. This hero-mom business, that she's keeping quiet to protect Caylee, is so smelly, IMO, that it doesn't deserve another look. I will stand corrected if proven wrong, and very happily so if Caylee if found alive.

The thought of Casey selling/trading Caylee crossed my mine when I read what Cindy posted on her myspace about jealousy. But, as far as I have read, no one has mentioned anything a large sum of money being found or in Casey's bank account. IMO, Casey accidentally let Caylee die either in a heated car or in the pool. I also think whatever happened happened on June 16th. She may have left Caylee in the trunk while she tried to figure out what to do with her and that's where the decomp came from. Last night on Nancy Grace a forensic expert spoke about the DNA not being complete yet because they most likely are dealing with degraded DNA and will have to run more sensitive, timely tests to get a profile. So, I believe the FDLE does not have the results yet. I do think they should go ahead and prosecute on the felony child abuse charge and keep her in prison for at least 6 years. JMO.
Thanks for the comment about the Nic : )
I agree with you that something horrific has happened to Caylee. I also think maybe Casey borrowed the shovel, backed the car up to the garage and buried Caylee somewhere close to home; then went back dug her up and kept her in the trunk until she could figure out what to do with her next. I think the original burial was just a quick way to get rid of the body for right then. The decomp smell probably came from depending how long she let her buried before digging her back up. This would also explain the timeline better. If there was no decomp smell when her dad got the gas cans but there was when the car was found. Casey most likely panicked and dug up Caylee to move the body. JMO

judging by caseys photobucket albums she does like to party so i reckon casey killed caylee because caylee got in the way of caseys partying life style
I agree --- i feel the same way. I think she was jealous of her girlfriends going out and having fun and partying and she wanted to live like them.
Also with her cancelling her visit with the family---so what!!! she is just trying to get more attention. And the family cancelling there visit--well maybe they are starting to realize how wrong she is and the lies after lies are coming to surface. Maybe they are starting to see that there daughter/sister is a cold blooded killer/lier!!!
My heart goes out to that little girl Caylee

ITA about Casey cancelling visits with her family for attention. To add to that I also think she wants whatever story she has told about protecting Caylee to be more believable. I doubt the family especially the mom is accepting what her daughter is. I think she really believes Casey is protecting Caylee and is following suit by cancelling her visits. The dad and brother may well be realizing that Casey is a killer and lier. I honestly don't see how the dad couldnt realize this seeing as he worked in LE before.
Prayers that Caylee comes home safe. :rose:

When is she going to fess up ???
When are the cops going to find out all the truth?
Lets just say---someone does have her----now why arent they coming forward and saying look i have her---even if they are holding her for money etc....---come on she didnt have money---you would think they would of taken someone that came from lots of money:rolleyes:---as i said lies after lies!!!

ITA. If she really had any valuable information about the "people" holding Caylee, all she would have to do is tell anyone of the detectives. Oh, she doesn't trust them:rolleyes: It's disturbing to hear her father talking like he apparently finds this scenario plausible. I hope he's just saying these things in the hopes that Casey will see them and start trusting the family again.
IMO, it's totally insane to believe that Casey has any knowledge that, if released to LE, could hurt Caylee. IMO, the knowledge she has could hurt herself because it would reveal her to be a child murderer. JMO.

Hey Dan! Casey is considered a Person of Interest (the same thing as a suspect in my mind). I think that's why they're so intent to keep her bond high and keep her locked up. JMO.

I just heard that the grandpa claims he wants Casey out of jail so she can tell him what she knows. It was also reported that the grandparents are watching people who they suspect have Caylee. I don't have the link. Sorry
IMO if they are watching people who they think have Caylee why not tell LE and let them get a warrant? I wonder if the gp doing their own investigations aren't going to hinder the case in any way. I'm also thinking that if someone did have Caylee why wouldn't they return her and receive the $25,000 ?

rose is right dan. she is a poi (person of interest) and LE will hold her as long as they can. Now it is a matter of waiting to see results on the DNA tests more than anything. It is a frustrating process that could take a long time or not.............IMO

I just watched that video so I'll try to find the link or it may be one that Odette already posted. I just can't believe these people. George Anthony got on national news and said he wants Casey home so she can help find Caylee and that they are watching the people they think are involved. Unbelievable. He's former LE, he knows that the best way to find Caylee is turn this information over, IMO, it's all lies. I think they're placating Casey to gain her trust. If they are being threatened everyday like Cindy claims, why go public with this "sensitive, potentially deadly" information. The gp even stated that he doesn't know if these people know they're being watched or not. This is like something from a very badly written movie. Drama but no substance, IMO.

ITA, Sara. And you are correct about the reward being in that price range. I think it's a ruse of some sort also. Maybe it was something concocted during their 2 hours unscheduled visit to the Sheriff's office yesterday.
Something just isn't right about them wanting Casey out to help on the one hand and then not visiting her because the visits are taped yet go on TV and say "we're watching you". Really, it just makes no sense at all.
Last night on NG two attorneys offered their opinion on the arrest of the person who has Caylee one said yes, the other not. I guess it would all depend on the circumstances. If they brought Caylee back with an altered appearance (hair cut, colored, dressed like a boy), then yea I'd say something was wrong. But if they brought her back happy, healthy and unharmed as if she were entrusted to their care, then no. Who knows with this wacky family:shrug:

ITA about it being a ruse to gain trust from Casey. Why else would the gp who was in LE before say something like this? It doesn't make sense. He might be saying this in hopes Casey will talk more.
On a different note. I thought it was strange that Casey said she didn't know any of the pictures shown to her of the people with the same name of the babysitter. It was almost like she doesn't want to get somebody inocent in trouble. Otherwise she would have picked one and laid all blame on her whether she knew her or not. Maybe gp are thinking she'll do something similar with the "people they are watching". Maybe even in location so they can get a better idea of where to look.
I do realize Caylee too was innocent.

As others have stated here, I really wonder if the parents are just trying their best to get information out of Casey. Sadly, they might even wonder if Casey will admit that Caylee is dead in private (something that I sure hope is not true). At any rate, it appears that the parents believe that Casey is withholding valuable information. I have two thoughts about this. . . either they are dead on OR Casey is simply manipulating them. From just an indicial impression of Casey, my gut is that this is going to be a long and messy ordeal. :rose:

I think her family members are dangerously close to obstructing justice by not revealing what they know of the people who supposedly kidnapped Caylee. They aren't stupid people and the father has an LE background so that's why I wondered if their unannouced visit to the sheriff might have had something to do with this new flurry of "information", like the threats and the surveillance they have going. IMO, they wouldn't make these types of statements if they hadn't discussed their strategy first. I believe they are desperate to get to the bottom of what happened to Caylee and wouldn't be above pulling a sting on their daughter to make it happen. JMO.

I too believe they are close to cracking but on the other hand they know they have probably lost Caylee (somewhere inside they know) and they may decide they do not want to lose their daughter too. I can't remember if it was Greta or Nancy last night but one of the experts thought that maybe Casey was just stonewalling by not talking. They felt she probably is very angry at her family from the things that she did see on TV and the taped phone calls to her family and that refusing to see them was her version of "payback". They talked about her spending all her time studying law books. They feel she may to waiting this thing out in the hopes that when Caylee is found they won't be able to prove cause of death. I'm sure her parents watch these shows and these type of reports have got to make them think. IMO, that's why they're stepping up the media interviews. The one thing that really bothers me is the post ItsJustMe make quoting Cindy's July 3rd myspace post about jealously and how her daughter just took away this baby. That's just eerie. JMO.

yes it was eerie. I had a feeling from the first 911 calls that there maybe a control issue there and then when I heard Caylee had grown to 2 with Cindy George and Casey I could see where there was a lot of control/anger issues.
My other idea is that the lawyer has told Casey not to talk to her family cause their interviews are making her not look so good. JMHO

Being a mother I can't understand how Casey can do this. If it were one of my babies missing I would go ballistic. I would be crying and nothing could stop it. I would have been phoning 911 as soon as I was sure my child was missing. Probably within 10 minutes of not being able to find me child. Call me overprotective but waiting 31 days?! How could you do that? Also keeping information from LE? I would have been spilling everything I knew and then some in hopes of finding my child ASAP. Maybe I am just weird but I tend to think Casey is the weird one ;)

Honestly they are about to make me start pulling my hair out. WTH? Simultaneous investigations, missing person and homicide. Now there's nothing to indicate she's not alive?
This is insane. And I don't trust the parents, there is a point you have to realize your daughter is a psychopath. It's like they can't make up their minds, it's one thing then it's another. Are they covering as well? They are watching the kidnappers. GMAB. I'm not buying.
And what's up with the psychic? If she's psychic does she really need dogs? I'm about to quit watching the news, it's making me crazy.

It makes me crazy too Minga. obviously the DNA or any physical evidence has not been found yet. and I heard about police and dogs going out today. I really hope this is not the first week LE has been looking for Caylee. There is a lot of ground to cover and water. Lots of little lakes.

They've been looking for a month BUT, courtesy of Casey Anthony, they started with another month's handicap. :flamemad:
Search For Caylee Anthony Entering 5th Week
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- They've been searching for 28 days and Orange County Sheriff's investigators aren't any closer to finding Caylee Anthony. She had already been missing for a month when her grandmother, Cindy Anthony, called 911.
http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=7190161&version=3&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=3.3.1
The DNA test results are not back yet.
About the psychics... I agree - the more people looking the better, and if somewhat unconventional methods could help, bring them on!!
Certainly, the mother's not being of any help at all. I hope they add obstructing an investigation to her charges. She knows where Caylee is... she doesn't know where Caylee is... she knows who has her... but doesn't... the nanny has her... but there's no nanny... she'll be home for her birthday... she wasn't. Makes me sick :cuss:

I want to have hope that Caylee is still alive and well somewhere but I don't have much if any. In an interview a LE officer was firm that the smell of rotting pizza and the decomp of a body are totally two different things. ITA.. And they have been firm there was the smell of decomp in the car. I have never smelled a body but have dead animals around the farm...you just know the smell is something dead.
Do anyone remember it being reported about trash being in the car along with the pizza....there has been so much I cannot remember but seems there was something said about some trash. Not sure where to fit it in if there was but it would be strange if there was trash pick-up and I'd think there are. Could Caylee been under stinking trash when the Dad got the gas cans. Only a thought.
I am not putting much into the Dad saying this crazy stuff about watching someone who may have Caylee because the family seems to have lost contact with Casey who is the ony person that can lead to Caylee. It was reported that Casey does watch some news report on the tv provided to inmates at the jail. I strongly believe it is a ploy and an investigative means trying to get Casey to talk to the family again. MHOO fep

IIRC, there was trash in the car and the family/father removed it. I do think the trash was still in the trash can when investigators first started looking into this and that the trash was turned over to LE, as well as the gas cans. ITA about this whole - we know who has Caylee and we're watching them - is a ploy to lure Casey into a comfort zone so that maybe she'll start calling or letting the family visit and maybe slip up somehow with something she says to them. I think, the mom was out partying while she left her daughter strapped in her carseat while she was at the bar. She probably came out drunk and realized her kid had scorched in this awful heat we had. Maybe she panicked because of drinking and not caring how the little girl was while she was partying like a rock star and thats why she never called police, because she already removed her body and thought she was in enough trouble. I've heard to many stories like this lately, kids being locked in hot cars and dying.

Welcome, slapper. That is one theory that's been floated about. From what I gathered from NG and FVS last night, is that the police have a lot more information than they've released to the public. I think the timeline will be the key to figuring this case out and it appears that LE is getting there. I thought it was strange that the BF didn't know Caylee was missing and Casey was searching for her. In fact, he stated she was not panicked or nervous or worried and never mentioned anything. I wonder if the police will be able to get with the pizza places she ordered from to determine when she ordered and where they delivered the pizzas. That will at least give them idea of where she was staying for the month+ she wasn't at her parents. JMO.

I believe she got her money by stealing it and using her mother's stolen credit card. What I'd like to know, besides the dates and place the pizza was delivered, would be if the delivery people noticed Caylee or heard her in the background. My little nieces go crazy when pizza guy comes. JMHO.

I just can't see anything but laughter from Casey in that scenario. If she's dead she knows the family is lying. If she sold her she knows the family is lying, there would be no comfort zone in which to confide in them. She would be sitting back watching them look stupid and lying to her. How much would she trust them then? JMO

True. She's knows what she did Caylee, but no one else does, so why would she think they were lying as opposed to supporting her kidnapping story? IMO, Casey has been hoping her family would publicly stand behind her theory because in her twisted mind she probably thinks it gives it some credibility. I don't think she's laughing at her parents at all; but I do agree they are looking pretty stupid as of late. It's just my opinion, but I doubt someone who lies as much as Casey truly trusts anyone at all. JMHO.

Good thoughts. IIRC, the neighbor from whom she borrowed the shovel and saw her uncharacteristically back up her car to the garage also told investigators that on Father's Day he heard loud shouting coming from the Anthony's and heard Casey screaming at her parents. I also recall reading somewhere (no link) that she was prone to fits of violence. IMO, Casey is a spoiled brat whose parents most likely just gave her what she wanted rather than deal with her tantrums. It's obvious Casey does as Casey wants. She's a high school dropout, a mother at 19 who never did (or could) identify the father, she lives with her parents, didn't hold down a steady job, stole, lied and now sits in jail with a self righteous, it's not my fault but everyone else's attitude; sounds to me like she was born pathological and no one stepped in to do anything about it. That is why i comment: if she was "kidnapped"--why ? she didnt have any money---as i said before gosh -----the lies after lies. When is she finally going to come clean and let us know what happened to this little girl?
Then last night we found out that her boyfriend stated she never searched for her daughter---she was having a ball partying it up wasnt she.
Cant wait for 8pm EST so i can watch N.G---I am horribly addicted to that show LOL
Any news on the results---DNA? and airsamples from the trunk?

Hi soccermom! Excellent point! Why, indeed, would anyone kidnap a child from a single, unemployed mother with no means to pay any sort of ransom. IMO, the answer is, they wouldn't. Casey is just so self-centered that she's making this all about her. The - someone kidnapped MY child! makes her the victim in her mind, IMO. Poor put upon Casey, why is everyone being so mean to her, blah, blah, blah. I wish they would reveal the psych evals they did. IMO, they would make for some interesting reading. JMO.

Dan, good thought. IIRC George Anthony was LE in Ohio when he retired and that he's still working in the LE/security field. IMO, FDLE would have asked him and/or investigated any cases he worked where there was a long jail sentence given due to his direct testimony. It's not impossible but I just can't think of a reason he wouldn't tell LE unless he has been contacted by this "person/people" and threatened with Caylee's death. I just don't see that as being the case in this disappearance, IMO, but it's not impossible. JMO.

Good afternoon, I have been following this case since the start and have just found this excellent forum. You folks make some good points and I have enjoyed reading the last week or so. Here are a few of my thoughts on this case.....
1. Caylee was last seen when she left the gp's house with her mother. The cadaver dogs later hit on a spot in the gp's back yard. When did Casey go back there with the body and why? To me this not only does not make any sense but does not fit in with the time line. Why would she take the body, put in in the back yard then take the body again and drive off with it.
2. Why would LE enforcement use the sniffer when they already had dna from the trunk of the car? is the dna so degraded that it is unusable or would it be like a second opinion?
3. Did Casey ever meet with her lawyer late last week when she was asking her brother to get hold of him for her?
To me this case screams "drugs". I feel that the parents have been manipulated for so long that they do not know what way is up. Having been at one time in that painful situation you feel you are in the center of a tornado where nothing makes any sense. At a point where everyone else can see what is going on you are too close to the situation to make any sense out of it.
I hope that the stories about someone taking the little girl are true but I have serious doubts that they will ever find her alive.

Welcome TOEJAM (I'm not even going to ask about that nic :D). You raise some very good questions that probably won't be able to answered correctly until Casey's phone calls are pinged. But I'll give you my opinions, if you don't mind:
1) I thing something dreadful happened to Caylee on June 16th, that's the flurry of calls to her parents - note: no one answered at their home. At that point I think Casey took Caylee back to her parents house to hide the body (going back to her comfort zone). She and Caylee were only gone for a few hours so her parents wouldn't be too suspious that they hadn't heard from them. I do wonder why her parents didn't try to call her back after all those missed calls.
2) I think that Casey put Caylee's body down on the ground while she found a "safe" place to keep her on June 17th. She needed to regroup and plan.
3) I think the cadaver dogs hit because Casey brought Caylee's body back to her parents home. IMO, I think she hoped they would find her and Casey could claim she came back home, left Caylee alseep and thought her parents would take care of her. Granted, it's a stretch, but it does put Caylee back at her GP's house.
4) I think Casey transported Caylee's body in the trunk. IMO she either killed her somewhere else, maybe the babyseat, through either a hard, anger driven blow, or by leaving her in the car too long in the heat, and then moved her body to the trunk. That's why they sniffed the car.
5) I don't believe that DNA can be so degraded as to not get some level of a match. I also don't believe they are looking for DNA like hair samples. I think they are looking at DNA from body fluids that can conclusively say Caylee is dead. Although it would be hard to explain why Caylee's DNA is in the trunk.
6) Casey has met with her lawyer on a regular basis. IMO, there is no way to know if he met with her at her request on that particular day. IMO, he would have because he is a relatively unknown defense attorney and this case is giving him a lot of free publicity.
7) There is no indication that drugs are involved or that Casey was a known drug user. However, IIRC, the apartment complex, Sawgrass, is in a bad area that is a possibility which may be why Casey chose it.
IMO, Casey either struck her daughter in anger or left her in the car in the heat and she expired. I would really like to know where the first call to her parents originated and where the last call ended in terms of geography. I don't think there is anyone involved in this disappearance other than Casey. I don't think she enlisted help, covered for anyone but herself, is hiding the kidnappers identidy, etc. I think Casey alone can answer all these questions and I believe she is stonewalling for one reason and one reason alone. It's been two months in the Floriday heat and humidity since her daughter has been seen. If or when Caylee's remains are found, cause of death will be difficult if not impossible to determine. She'll fall back on the kidnapping scenario to avoid the death penalty or more severe charges. She is truly a psychopathic b/i/t/c/h that couldn't care less about anyone but herself. Sorry for the long post but it's just my opinion and I hope they legalize waterboarding in cases like this. JMHO.

rose that was an excellent post. I few things I do not agree with but nothing that would change the outcome in the long run.
I believe Caylee either may have drowned or was overheated. When Caylee was gone Casey put her in the playhouse and/or sandbox temporarily. Then it started to smell so couple days later she borrowed a shovel and put Caylee in the trunk and went to find a place nearby to bury her and then returned the shovel. of course rose I am just guessing. I really have no clue in the long run. you brought up something very interesting. why didn't she get any call backs or is that just not being made public??????? IMO

That makes complete sense Sara. That even fits in with the timeline. The only person who knows for sure where Caylee is Casey. I hope she cracks soon.

One other thing that bothers me is:
Grandfather does not want to think of Caylee as dead, so why on gods green earth did he hire the body hunters with cadaver dogs. Cadaver dogs search for dead people. Unless I'm wrong, I heard he hired them.

IIRC, the Anthony's didn't hire them. They received a bunch of email requesting they investigate this case. They are working on their own and have not contacted LE on any of their findings. IMO they're only there for the publicity.

my caylee is missing
She came into my life unexspectedly, just as she has left me. This precious little angel from above gave me strength and unconditional love. Now she is gone and I don't know why. All I am guilty of is loving her and providing her a safe home. Jealousy has taken her away. Jealousy from the one person that should be thankfull for all of the love and support given to her. A mother's love is deep, however there are limits when one is betrayed by the one she loved and trusted the most. A daughter comes to her mother for support when she is pregnant, the mother says without hesitation it will be ok. And it was. But then the lies and betrayal began. First it seemed harmless, ah, love is blind. A mother will look for the good in her child and give them a chance to change. This mother gave chance after chance for her daughter to change, but instead more lies more betrayal. What does the mother get for giving her daughter all of these chances? A broken heart. The daughter who stole money, lots of money, leaves without warning and does not let her mother now speak to the baby that her mother raised, fed, clothed, sheltered, paid her medical bills, etc. Instead tells her friends that her mother is controlling her life and she needs her space. No money, no future. Where did she go? Who is now watching out for the little angel?

I was watching NG last night and a caller called in asking an interesting question. Did anyone find Caylee's swim suit? After she asked that it made me wonder. I wonder if her swim suit is missing thus the assumption that she may have drowned? Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this.

IMO Cindy wrote this about Casey taking Caylee and leaving her home. I honestly don't think she actually knew Caylee was missing. I think she was saying that she didn't know where Casey and Caylee were. Cindy says Casey does not let her speak to Caylee. This IMO means Cindy still thinks Caylee is with Casey. What this does prove is that Casey was a lier and betrayer well before this incident. It also confirms what a lot of us have already voiced an opinion on; that Cindy was controlling or atleast Casey thought so.
All of this is just my personal opinion of course.

At this point, I don't think Cindy thought something bad had happened...it seems there was a falling out and Casey took Caylee and wasn't letting her mother (Cindy) see her.
When Cindy DID suspect something happened she flipped out - hence the dead body smell in the trunk comment to 911...
Now, as others have said, her co-dependent-coddling-mother nature is taking over, and I think she is subconsciously setting aside all logic, reason, and common sense to believe her daughters LIES, rather than believe that her daughter could harm Caylee.

Good morning, slapper. ItsJustMe posted Cindy's myspace message a few days ago and I questioned the same thing. Hi all...I'm new...this story has grabbed my attention and won't let go!
I thought I'd share some thoughts I had.
About the shovel/flurry of phone calls/drowning theory: I can't believe Casey would be so stupid that she would NOT have immediately called 911 if Caylee had an accident in the pool. I don't think that she would have tried calling her parents repeatedly, and then just give up. I also don't think that she would borrow a shovel from the neighbor to dispose of her body. That's just TOO obvious. She HAD to know at some point that police would be looking around and talking to people, right?
About LE focusing on making it known that they're looking at the kidnapping angle, treating it as a missing persons case, insisting that they don't have anything that says Caylee is not alive - I think they're just trying to give Casey an opening to talk - to start a conversation, and see where she goes with it.
That kooky George - he KNOWS Casey is full of it. Why is he going to say they know who has Casey and that they're watching them, but at the same time he's driving around with a billboard? I think Cindy and him are just trying to get Casey to want to talk to them.
And as far as the 'psychic' searches? Who cares if someone believes in it or not? The more people looking the better, I say.

Again, I disagree...Cindy was ranting, and just upset that Casey took Caylee and 'moved out'. These grandparents, by all accounts, treated Caylee as their own child. Then Casey gets mad at Cindy and leaves with Caylee. That's what she means by "...she has left me."
These people are not too bright, but they are not stupid enough to post a MySpace comment essentially saying "Boo hoo, my daughter killed my granddaughter".

The swim suit in question, I believe, was the suit that Caylee was wearing in the picture that the news shows. Casey may have left that suit over at her boyfriend's apartment. IIRC, the last time the BF and others at the apartment complex saw Caylee was at the pool at his place. IMO, Caylee probably had more than one suit. It appears that her grandparents took good care of her because from the photos she really had some cute outfits for a 2 year old. JMO.

I'd like to know about the swimsuit too, but if it was accidental, who knows if the baby climbed in with her clothes. I hope everyone would just stop lying about stuff and come clean. The parents seem like they've lied to cover up their daughters lies. Wonder where Casey has learned that. I don't think anyone in that family can tell the truth.

Obviously the high school drop out is so stupid. The fact is she did NOT call 911 at all. Whether Caylee accidentally died or if she killed her or if someone kidnapped her Casey did NOT call 911. That's a fact! This child has not been seen since June 16th and her mother did NOT call for help. IMO LE is dealing with a narsissitic psycopathical liar whose sense of self esteem is such that she believes she's not only smarter than everyone else but above the law. I do agree about the psychics searching, the more the better, but I don't agree their "psychic" abilities and working apart from LE are anything more than a publicity stunt. JMO.

ITA that this case grips your heart and won't let go. There are so many dynamics at work here that it's hard to form a concrete position as to what happened to little Caylee. I posted basically the same theory as you as to why the Anthony's are suddenly going public with the idea that someone kidnapped Caylee. I agree that they are trying to win her confidence so that she'll start calling them again and agreeing to visiting with them. I think this whole ruse was decided when the Anthony's spent two unannounced hours chatting with the Sheriff's office. JMO.

Thanks for the information, joe! I hope LE does release the recording/video. I don't recall hearing about her lawyer making any motions to keep them out of the public domain, do you? ITA, the Anthony's are going to be pissed. Maybe Casey is starting to break. IMO, being isolated so long with her personality is probably driving her more insane than she already is. Quite frankly, we are dealing with the two people that are responsible for the way Casey turned out. I agree with you, but imagine that the temptation to embrace denial at this point must be tremendous. In essence. . . if Casey is guilty so are her parents in part. No doubt they are in a living h3ll right now.

I'm not disagreeing with you about the Anthony's anger towards the media, but I think it is well deserved. The media is often insensitive to the "victims" of crime. IMO, the grandparents are victims in this mess. It must be hell on them not knowing what happened to Caylee. I just can't imagine what it must be like for them having their privacy so invaded. Just imagine what it's like to have cameras and microphones shoved in your face when you grieving the loss of a loved one or tortured about not knowing what happened to a loved one. ITA, the Anthony's are in living hell right now. I can't imagine the guilt that they are feeling because of Casey's actions. But in my heart I can't blame them. They gave Casey and Caylee a safe home, helped raise Caylee, paid for everything and from everything reported didn't know Casey was moving out on June 16th. IIRC she said something about leaving Caylee with a sitter, going to work and then a vacation. IMO, Casey knew damn well that she was going to get "rid" of Caylee when she left the Anthony's home on June 16th that's why she lied about what she was doing. I would like to know what the loud argument was about on June 15th. JMO.

Hey joe welcome to the Crime Library and "Finding Caylee". Thank you for the links. I was wondering about that. I think everyone here is leaning in the right direction..
GP are in denial. Inside they know something. They miss Caylee and they love Casey and they raised Casey and Caylee. No wonder George is angry going into the jail and I do see Cindy cry when they come out. I am so glad I have no idea what they are feeling-guilt hurt sad betrayed frustrated scared.
These are actually the emotions that should be happening but I think are a little late due to a lot of fear and denial.
I also think Casey will not talk. actually if the DNA is too deteriated and Caylee is never found it could be real real bad. I think Casey is a pathological liar and this will never change. IMO

Hey, Sara. IMO, it will be worse than bad. That's why I was hoping the DA would push to prosecute her on the existing charges. She needs to go to prison, not be coddled in protective custody in a county jail. I haven't heard anything about a trial date yet. Doesn't the defense have a right to a speedy trial? While I agree with you that it must be very hard for the Anthony’s to have their lives invaded by the news media, I have to disagree that what the media is doing it to cruel. It is their daughter that is too cruel. She is the one putting her family through a living nightmare. She is the one that probably murdered their granddaughter then disposed of her little body. It is their daughter who had been lying, stealing and manipulating them for years. It’s time for these parents to stop enabling this brat and try to make her take reasonability for her actions. But it doesn’t matter, this is major trouble that their daughter has gotten herself into, and this is one time that her parents are not going to be able to bail her worthless butt out of trouble.
God Bless little Caylee and I hope that the child will be found alive and well.

I much as I would like more news on this case I think it is best for the ivestigation if they are getting information from Casey with assurances that what she says won't be released. Hopefully yesterday's meeting gave LE something solid they can use in finding Caylee.

I have two points to bring forward.
1. From what I've heard here on local news, LE is looking at the cell towers to pinpoint her location when she made calls. They mentioned an area south of where the grandparents live. If anyone has google earth, just locate Orlando International Airport (OIA) and you will see a road (Heintzelman Blvd) that runs south on the east side of OIA then bends south behind the airport. Its called Goldenrod until it hits the Beachline, in order to continue through, you must pay a toll (Sunpass) and the roads name changes to Heintzelman Blvd. This road is very isolated since it runs behind Orlando International Airport.
If Casey did in fact travel this road, there will be a record on her sunpass if she uses sunpass. I doubt she had the wits to remove it from the car if she did travel that road on the 16, 17 or 18th. Otherwise, she used coins and my theory would be moot - regarding having another "witness". Still, cell towers are available to pin point her calls.
2. LE believes she did something on the 18th which according to my calendar happened to also be a FULL MOON.
I've traveled this road and traffic on it is extremely light. Very few cars travel this road. It does have street lights along much of the road, but again there are no businesses or homes anywhere in sight.

Frontage Rd is used more due to many airline hangars, supply warehouses, etc... so it would be risky to use that road imo. I have never driven down that road (Frontage)which runs along the northern edge of the airport on the east side (east of Semoran Blvd (SR 436) - main entry road for passengers to OIA. JetBlue hangar for example is just off the exit of Heintzelman Blvd.
Even before you reach the toll booth there is a good 1/4 mile of undeveloped road thats south of LeeVista Blvd. I mentioned earlier of a super walmart on Goldenrod which also has a very large undeveloped field. I may venture out and snap some photos to give you an idea of what the area looks like. Check back late Saturday for a link (unless the case is solved - then there would be no need).

Are there security camera's around the toll booth?
That particular toll booth in unmanned. Basically, you use sunpass or coins or run it and only a picture of your tag is taken. If you run a toll booth more than 3 times in a month, they actually send you a ticket, otherwise - nothing happens and they toss the picture. I've tried to pay a toll person when I didn't have change and they wouldn't accept it. They just told me the not to worry about it - and not to run a toll for the next 30 days :)
Besides, we have had criminals actually rob toll booths that are manned and we never get video to help solve the crime. I don't think they invest in security beyond pictures to capture tags.

Bondsman To Put Up $500K To Get Casey Anthony Out Of Jail
POSTED: 3:48 pm EDT August 15, 2008
UPDATED: 4:24 pm EDT August 15, 2008
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Eyewitness News learned Friday that Casey Anthony will be bonded out on Monday by a California-based bail bondsman who isn't shy of the media.
Eyewitness News learned that a third party, who isn't being named, allegedly put Casey's attorney, Jose Baez, in contact with Tony Padilla Bail Bonds in Sacramento. High-profile bail bondsman Leonard Padilla and his nephew, Tony Padilla, owner of the company, said by email that they will be flying to Orlando on Sunday to post a $500,000 bond on Monday for the release of Casey Anthony.
It is believed that Casey can't be released until Monday, because she needs to first be fitted for an ankle monitoring device, something not usually done on weekends.

I think these suckers are either bailing her out for the fame/fortune, or they are as disgusted with her as we are and they have the means to get the ball rolling (on Casey "finding" Caylee - that's why she wanted out of jail, right?)
1 - She will have an ankle bracelet, and surely LE will be monitoring her
2 - Casey is MUCH too self centered/self absorbed to even contemplate suicide!

Amazing is all I can say. Can't wait to hear what Nancy Grace has to say about this. The good thing is she will be monitored and, IIRC, on house arrest. I doubt she'll be able to go too far from her parent's property and apparently the bondsman and her attorney have arranged to have someone watch her. I'm up in the air about her committing suicide. She had a taste of jail for a month on the one hand and that may have scared her realizing that could be the rest of her life so maybe she'll try it. On the other hand, she is a conceited brat who probably thinks she's a celebrity now so she won't try it. I just pray they find little Caylee alive and well. JMO

Apparently the only person these Padilla's have been in contact with is Casey's lawyer. Did the lawyer contact them, or did they contact the lawyer? The ridiculous looking old man, cowboy type, is Mexican and says they have the wrong Zenaida Gonzales, that Casey is a drunk and drug addict and doesn't remember what happened. In that case how in the hell is he going to help? Get her out and she'll never tell because she's a psychopath or because she doesn't remember. That's really good.  I hope fate intervenes and they don't get here for some reason like TS Faye or something happens with the search before they do and they find Caylee.
The parents are looking for a place to keep Casey when she gets out so she is away from the press. This doesn't sound good to me at all. I do agree she's too narcissistic to commit suicide. Maybe she's stupid enough to lead them to the body. I don't think the baby is alive.
This case is insane. The whole lot of them are nuts. And it's getting to be a bigger circus everyday. And that clown they hired for a spokesperson is ridiculous as well. Who is the brains behind that?
I can only imagine what tomorrow will bring. It's a total shame when some egotisical clown can come in and totally jerk the rug out from under LE and let a maniac go free because they think they know more than anyone. I know they say everyone deserves bond, but I'm not so sure in this case. I think if she was in there long enough she'd break.

ITA! Fortunately, the conditions of her bond require that she be fitted with the ankle bracelet and confined to her family's home. If she tampers with the bracelet or if she goes past the assigned borders, LE will be notified and she could be sent back.

I would imagine that if LE has evidence that Caylee is dead - surely they've gotten the DNA results back by now and are just keeping quiet about the results - poker face for Casey - they will be scrambling for more evidence and if they have enough, they'll probably charge her with something more, therefor keeping her locked up.

Wouldn't that be nice! But, IMO, they better move fast getting the evidence before a judge because I would imagine it's kind of late in the game to try and get a hearing during the weekend. Since she has an attorney, would the prosecutor have to disclose this new evidence before bringing additional charges?

I think the parents don't want Casey to stay with them because they are afraid of her. A neighbor of the Cindy and George said that Casey has a hell of a temper. The neighbor said on father's day he heard Casey screaming and yelling at Cindy. Although the parents keep proclaiming Casey innocent, IMO somewhere deep in their hearts they have questions about what their daughter might have done to Caylee. I feel Cindy is using the press as an excuse because she doesn't want her daughter staying with them.
The courts need to stipulate that Casey will have to stay with her parents if she is to be released on bail. The parents keep saying that Casey is a wonderful person, mother and she is innocent. So they shouldn't have any problems with their wonderful daughter staying with them.

I couldn't agree with you more. I had heard that as well, that they probably don't want her there. (I know I wouldn't want her there.) I think it's the perfect place for her. Wonderful daughter, perfect mom comes home! And let the press catch it all. I imagine a lot of things will come out. I imagine that Cindy and George could press her into another rage very easily. I hope that that is one of the conditions on which she's released. If not the judge will be crazy too.
I believe the parents are still delusional in many ways. This could be a good thing after all ;)

They have. When she is released she will be on house arrest with a defined area of movement. IMO, the parents aren't afraid of her. They're used to her temper and her outbursts. She doesn't present any danger to them. And, IMO, they want her home so they can try to get information from her about where little Caylee is. If anyone can break that witch, it's her family. JMO.

I heard on Fox News earlier this afternoon that the park where they found these clothing items is used by homeless people at night and that the Sheriff's deputy doubts these items are related to Caylee because they don't match what the Anthony's "original" statement says. IMO, the Anthony's need to look at this stuff because IIRC they stated they hadn't seen Caylee since June 9th and were only reminded about Father's Day when shown the photos. They be the types that need to see something in order to remember. I can't find it right now, but I did come across something this morning that said that even if bond is posted, there are two more hurdles:
-Her parents (assuming they will host her) have to install an additional phone line for the ankle bracelet.
-The other? They couldn't say...it seems that LE might be able to deny the bond based on evidence? Does anyone know if that sounds right?
EDIT: Found it:
"Even if the "bounty hunters" front the money for her release, an Orange County Jail spokesperson says there are still two holds that must be cleared before Casey can actually leave.
One of the holds is not disclosed to the public because of it's nature but is said to be an internal hold which could be cleared relatively quickly.
The other hold is home confinement/electronic monitoring. Casey's family must have a regular phone line installed that is not a cable or internet phone. The jail prohibits that the phone have any special features including voicemail or call waiting"

"Internet bloggers" that are doing their own search found two book bags (among other items). Some of the items were girls clothes - the same size as Caylee's - but it is not likely this is related to this case. I read that the area is close to a park, and that homeless hang out there.

Then it'll take longer to get her out, IMO. I don't know FL law but I would think it would require a modification of bail/bond conditions which have been set by a judge so a hearing would be needed to modify those conditions with a judge's consent. IMO, there's not a judge down there that will allow her to stay anywhere else. She doesn't have a place of her own and the bail bondsman has announced that the Anthony's will let one of them stay there to watch Casey. Where else could she go? Her boyfriend's or one of many other "friends" who spoke so openly about what she's really like? I doubt her brother would do it, too risky for him. Hotels would be too risky because she could get an opportunity to bolt. JMO.

Thanks Dan for the update. I hope Padilla is correct when he says he can get info out of Casey once she's home and comfortable.
Casey and a bounty hunter from Padilla's team will be staying at Casey's parent’s house 24/7. Leonard Padilla says he can get information out of Casey about her missing daughter. “Getting out of jail, big thing, very significant. She takes a hot shower, does her hair, paints her nails…starts feeling human again.”
Padilla believes once casey is comfortable...she'll offer up the information. “We're not asking her the questions. We're letting her divulge info without her being pressured being put in custody. It’s just a different atmosphere.”

I don't think he will. He's making a contractual deal with an adult, Casey, and I use that term very loosely. If she runs, he'll have to put on his bounty hunter cowboy hat and hunt her down, IMO. But she won't run according to him she has too much humanity in her, er, right?

Casey Anthony could be walking out of the Orange County Jail.
Leonard Padilla, a bounty hunter, said he has made arraignments to post her $500,000 bail.
On Monday morning, Casey's attorney Jose Baez and Padillia met to hammer out the details of Casey's release.
Padilla is a bounty hunter, not a licensed bondsmen, which is why his nephew, Tony Padilla, a licensed bondsman is putting up the money.
There have been some questions as to why Padillia is doing this -- mainly if he is doing it for the publicity. He says, absolutely not, this is all about Caylee.
"She lied to the cops. She lied to everybody. I think, initially, she will not tell the truth, but I think she's going to have a situation where she's sitting at home, grandma's there, which is her mom, so let's just say she has absolutely no feeling, but just a little, and she says, 'Hey, here's who has the baby,'" Leonard Padilla said.
Casey Anthony will be under security 24 hours a day to make sure she doesn't flee. News 13 was told Caylee's grandparents have been about the arrangement and Casey has been told about this arrangement and she said she is more than ready to get out of jail.

Hi Soccermom! Padilla came right out and said he's a media ***** on NG. He is as crazy as the Anthony's, IMO. He believes he's going to find Caylee because Casey is going to tell him where she is  Geez, what's going on down there? There was a segment shown where Lee Anthong was talking with Padilla. To his credit, Lee did seem skeptical about Padilla would be able to do but was grateful that Casey might get out and that Padilla thought Caylee was alive. Other than that Padilla just did the old "knight in shining armor" routine, IMO.
I think LE is being very tight lipped about the forensics in this case. If I were LE and had evidence of decomp from her car, I would let her get as far as crossing the security gate and glimpsing freedom before I slapped the cuffs on her and arrested her for the more serious charges. IMO, that would deal her with such a pychological blow she might break. JMO.

Nope, she was still in jail last night. There're some holds that have to be cleared before she can be released. On of these is an inspection and approval by LE that the Anthony house is in compliance with the court requirements.

Yes, Padilla said himself that he's a 'Media *****" (***Wow - they block out "w h o r e"? REALLY?***)...and he has a reality show coming out. Who interested in this case would not watch the episode(s) related to this? He gets Casey out, and him and/or one of his guys babysits Casey with cameras in tow. If she tries to run? That's good reality TV! He can recoup his 500k right there! Plus I believe he wants Caylee to be found - a happy ending. that would be a happy enough ending to be a Lifetime movie!
Casey ISN'T talking in jail. Supposedly she needs to be out to do anything...well let's see what she can accomplish!
I wonder if Padilla has contacted her EX-boyfriend? "Hey man, I know you're disgusted with her and don't want anything to do with her anymore, but can you pretend you're still into her so that she might give something up? It would $ure be worth your while!"
LE is going to love this too. They WANT her out, but they can't just LET her out. Padilla bonds her out and they get to keep an eye on her. Guaranteed they will be watching her with detectives, the ankle jewelry, GPS, tapped phones, etc.
Her getting out - although it sucks and she doesn't deserve it - is the best thing for finding what happened to Caylee.

Didn't LE come out and say that the reports of cell towers tracing Casey to the airport area were false?

You know, since George and Cindys meeting with Casey Thursday, I have heard no news of them searching, following their 'leads', or dragging that billboard around.
Does anyone know if they stopped all this?

Is supposedly installed already? I suppose they could have just downgraded any extras they had on their existing phone line?

Joe I am just going on what I hear on Nancy Grace and her witnesses and Greta Van Sustern and her witnesses and from posters on boards. I am sure we will continue to know more and I am sure Fay will not be helping either. IMO

I agree FDInLaw however, I feel Casey will play the martyr and turn this all around and make it about her and not Caylee. She is so self centered and seems to not really care about her daughter. My heart is breaking for this child and I really hope she is found alive and well but the more time passes the more I feel this will not happen.

***This is my opinion I agree with both of your posts. Attention needs to be on finding Caylee. I almost hate to say this, but if Casey was a 'plain Jane' and not so photogenic for a TV show, I doubt the Padillas would have flown to Fla. jmo

ITA. The self proclaimed media ***** is using Casey and this case for free publicity for his upcoming reality show. Casey will make this all about her. IIRC, in one call to her brother she was heard saying "all they care about is Caylee, they only care about getting Caylee back" then when she realized what she said she added "me too". Selfish, self-centered, drama queen with more mental/psychological "issues" than can be counted. I hope Caylee is found soon. I pray she's safe and sound.:rose:

I agree also. There are lots of LE, independents and psychics looking at this time. Orlando is a huge county with lots of small ponds, lakes, everglades, swamps, thick brush and trees. Check out a map. Everyone is looking everywhere they can. The attention paid to Casey is because she has the key to Caylee's location. Now there is a bounty hunter saying he can get her to talk if he gets her out of jail. Yes there are lots of people posting about Casey because they have been following this for 8 weeks. Most of us are heartbroken about the poor baby girl and are glued to the tv to hear if there is any news. We listen to the taped converstions on Greta and Nancy to see if there is a clue. We think about Caylee day and night and wake up in the morning hoping for good news. So I believe every poster on this thread primarily wants to find Caylee. either through dna, searches and/or Casey. anything!!! thanks IMO

I agree. I watched NG, too. Padilla seemed rattled to me. It appears as though local (Orlando) bondsmen are challenging the legality of an out of state bondsman using a pass through Texas organization to obtain Casey's bond. By the way Padilla was reacting to questions last night, it seemed like a serious issue to me. He was his usual grandiose self, IMO.

You know, Joe, it's beginning to look like Casey isn't going anywhere anytime soon:) I agree with the journalist who wrote this article. Padilla has turned this into a circus. Wouldn't it be ashame if he couldn't even deliver what he promised, Casey out of jail? So much for his reality show. JMO.

Rose,
Yes, Padilla IS creating a media circus and is doing this for the fame, fortune, and ratings of his TV show. He SAYS that he is only interested in finding Caylee. I don't think it matters what his reasons for getting Casey out are, or how sincere he is in what he says. Casey is not talking in jail. Let him get her out and see if he can get somewhere.

And really who does he think he is. He will post her out of jail and be with her watching her at home with her parents. He will get the truth out of her even though he thinks she is innocent in a week. Sounds like a lot of hot air to me now. Caylee is getting national attention and now he is. IMO

ITA. It's double talk at its best. One the one hand he says he believes Caylee is alive and on the other he says he'll get Casey to talk and tell him where Caylee is. Duh. If Caylee were alive and Casey knew where she was you can bet by now she'd tell the truth about who Caylee was with. No way would she let them keep her in jail if Caylee could be found alive. With the current charges she's looking at 6 years max. If they push murder or manslaughter charges and she's convicted, she's could be looking at life. She'd give up whoever had Caylee, if anyone did have her. JMO

Hell i know i couldnt keep my mouth shut in jail--i would go insane lol:biggrin:

Plus she is going to court thursday----I wonder if that is going to be on TV?
