There have been a whole lot of movies based on mass murders and serial killers. Which ones do you like? Don't like? Which are done well? Which ones suck?

Ted Bundy remake. It scared the bejesus out of me! There has yet to be a horror movie that scares me but Ted Bundy really gave me nightmares. :( The BTK killer movie sucked. I couldn't follow it.

Son of Sam was a good one. Monster was another really good one. They are both based on true stories. There is a new one coming out called The Green River Killer. I haven't heard too much about it. Anyone else know about it?

I’ve seen a ton of ads for that. It’s a miniseries on Lifetime called The Capture of The Green River Killer, and it starts this Sunday I believe. Has a pretty random cast…someone from Scrubs, and then that creepy guy from Buffy the Vampire slayer lol. Regardless, the actual story is pretty fascinating so im curious to see their version of it.

I didn't know there was a miniseries coming out, but I did see the Green River Killer movie and it was a bit...boring. I don't remember much of it as it was just as dull as the BTK movie. These movies should be able to engage the viewer by raising awareness and present factual events (and I don't mean showing the gorey details) - kind of like the newer Ted Bundy movie. There were red flags that his girlfriend, and others around him, chose to ignore while Ted's fantasies started becoming reality. It still amazes me that in this day and age people will chose to walk alone in isolated areas.

I believe this Green Killer movie is new and hopefully better than the last one.

The GRK movie’s called The Capture of The Green River Killer. It’s on LMN starting Sunday at 8pm. Its based on the book Chasing the devil which was written by the sherriff that hunted the killer down for almost twenty years. It definitely looks better than the last one that came out. :)

Oh yes HeavenCries. I think think the Dahmer one is even better than the Bundy one

What'd you think of The Capture of the GRK? Thought it was pretty good. Part two was better than part one though.

I am trying to find out the name of a movie which was loosely based on William Bonin (The freeway killer) It is not the 1996 Freeway killer movie as this is about shooting people on the freeway. This about young men being raped, murdered and dumped. Can anyone help

The movie is loosely based on Gary Ridgeway of Washington State. He was one of the most prolific serial killers in U.S. history. Most, not all, of his victims were dumped in or around the Green River in Washington, hence the name.
