I was sexually abused for a few years by my step-father. I needed to get out of my home, So I told someone and the court process started. Two years later he was sent to prison. What I am getting at, was the last trail date I was there and my step-father's lawyer went on about how step-children make a sexually charged atmosphere in the home. I just want to tell you, a few days before the abuse started, my mother was hit by a car and was put in the hospital and I was being told, she may die.
I was 14 years old, scared, and confused. I didn't know what he was doing was wrong and I was afraid to be sent in the system. So i let him keep doing it.
“It’s possible he could have been caught in trap,” Campbell said In the Lincoln county new. How could I put him in a trap? I was 14 years old and about to lose my mother. Also I didn't have a father and any other family. My mother left her family and never turned back, So I never met them.
Also the police never changed a thing I told them and never made me say something different. I am at college right now and Im learning to become a police officer. I want to help and get people like him off the street.
I just want people to hear this, Is it turning to blaming the victim now? I just can't believe the news paper wrote it and I can't believe the lawyer said it. People need to know this is happened.
