The father of a Mesa infant believed to have died of battering last week has been charged with second-degree murder.

Two-month-old Gregory Friederich was pronounced dead late Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix after suffering a fractured skull, two broken ribs and a lacerated liver.

2 months..... 2 months.... that is all this baby was...

are we lacking in education?? do young ppl,, or any ppl for that matter know what it is like to have a baby????

Babies,, no nothing... they don't just cry to annoy us!!!! hello???? they aren't just cute and cuddly??? okkkkk... they have needs and wants..... which mean a hell of a lot more,, because they can only communicate by crying.............. and u do everything,, over and over,, until u satisfy that cry,,,

There is just a deadness in that man's face, isn't there? There's nothing in that photo to show he is feeling anything. I wonder when he died inside.

I read more and more of these cases, of infants being battered, beaten and killed and it saddens me greatly that is so often seems to be parents who are under the age of 25. What is happening out there?
