I am new at this and trying to figure it all out...but I guess I will take a stab at this to see what happens and hope for the best.
I want to know if anyone can help me figure out where the justice is for a child. The situation is an admittance by the child's father having child porno on his computer but has not been convicted yet but still has rights and now is ok with D.H.R. for the child to live in the same house when it wasn't before. Little to no contact, it matters not, I along with other's and some law officials can not understand why this is allowed nor do we feel the child is or can be safe there. Apparently seems that nothing can be done either. If anyone has any clue who to contact and/or how to get the child out of the home, please help.
I have spoke to and been many places to get help to no avail. Any and all suggestions please. And if anyone interested in this story....well the media won't do anything at this time for fear of being sued. And yes there is way more to the story.

It sure seems the child would be removed from the home by a state/county agency. How old is the child?

So many questions!!!! First, the country/ state this is happening in makes a difference re. laws that are to be followed. The amount of access one has to communicating with the child, his/her school teachers, his/her other relatives will make a difference. Is everyone in the child`s life aware of the danger to the child and keeping an eye out for tell tale signs? Does the child have access to help or people to confide in if there are problems? Age of the child may be relevent too?
Sometimes the system that is supposed to look after societies children (who have no one to look after them) is so pitifully under funded they turn a blind eye to problems such as the one you have mentioned.
I hope someone here can help with specifics. I wonder if any of these agencies who are turning a blind eye could be threatened with being sued if the situation does prove dangerous for this child....ie negligence??? You may as well try any trick you can to put this case on top of the pile. Good luck, let us know! What you are doing is important and you are going to make a difference in someones life.:rose:

You say that "now [it] is ok with D.H.R. for the child to live in the same house when it wasn't before." I assume this means that at the time of the investigation/arrest the child was removed until an investigation showed that s/he wasn't being molested and there was apparently no imminent danger to the child. In most cases like this, it's the father/perp who's told to move out. A good question is how old is the child. Most CPS consider school age children/adolescents at less risk than pre-school/younger kids. Another question is how involved the mother is in the situation. If she's an innocent bystander, at home with the child and in contact with a case worker the likelihood is that the child is considered safe in the home for the time being but the whole situation is under supervision by DHR. I also assume they're somewhere in the background but keeping a close eye on the situation.
I don't have any advice to give you
