Ok - here is how this thread will work. I have put together a collaboration of timelines from different resources within this site.

If you have additions, deletions, or corrections of any type - Copy/Paste my post and update your information in BOLD. Please have a reference, that is viewable to all.

I prefer not to timeline information that is non-specific (i.e. early afternoon, or between 1430 and 1530. This information does not help. My timelines are also based on a 24 hour clock - meaning 1pm becomes 1300, 2pm becomes 1400, and so-on.

I believe Nona had a final scheduled for 8:00; I believe it was reported that she showed up late, so there isn't an exact time, but I believe it was confirmed she did take that test. Also at 14:00 (I think) Nona failed to show up for another final.

I'll let you correct your timeline as you see fit. KJ's grandmother testified that she called to wake him around 9am. Al Frazier testified that he left the Jones home around 10:22am (although I don't remember him specifically saying that he saw KJ or his vehicle at that time). Walters testified that Kevin arrived at work at 2:45pm, rather than 1:00pm (if he saw Kevin during the one o'clock hour, which was while he was still lunching with JH and still had errands to run, I missed it.).

I think you are right. I remember being completely confused about that. The 13:00 time was what was listed on the PCS, but I haven't read anything about Mr. Walters's testimony that mentioned the 13:00 time. The only time I'm aware of from his testimony is the 14:45 arrival at work.

Interesting that he logged onto UofA's system while he was still at the Bayou Cafe. Should we assume that he was using a laptop and that he was also using it at work? I think that someone asked in another thread (maybe) about what computer he was using that afternoon.

I believe that Paula Brown(?) testified that she called at 4pm to have KJ approved as JJones' guest. Someone, possibly JJones herself testified that she requested that KJ be her date for the party the day before. I guess she thought that he was a shoo in, since she reportedly laid out his clothes that morning and told him to come home at the same time that last minute approval was being arranged.

(It only takes me 45 minutes from start to finish to get ready if I'm in a hurry, and no one chooses my wardrobe. Can't believe that it took KJ two hours.)

Depending on whether you believe Al Frazier's or his employees testimony and whether or not they actually saw KJ when they left the Joneses house, I would have said that the window of opportunity is between 10:22am and 11:30am when grandmother testified that he was at the station. That is not to say that someone couldn't have come back to the scene that afternoon to add the condom wrapper to the staging.

Al Frazier said that is approximately when they (the bathtub guys) left the Jones residence. They took pictures, and the last one was timestamped at 10:06. His partner (Mross?) said they left shortly after taking the pictures. IIRC, in an earlier statement, Frazier said they left within 5 minutes of taking the photos, but testified at the trial that it was later than that. I guess those guys are the last ones to have seen K.Jo before the time the prosecution thinks the murder occurred?

That is when Frazier testified that he and his worker left the house; the worker said that it was a little earlier. Kevin wasn't seen by anyone except Frazier and the worker from the time that he got out of bed to let them in and when grandmother testified that she say him at @11:30.

I would suggest that if you are going to add Trey York to the timeline, that you make a separate timeline for him, that includes his whereabouts and Nona's, but not K.Jo's. Otherwise, it would be very complicated, and I think most presume K.Jo's and TY's actions that day have nothing to do with each other's, only Nona's.

Also, I think it is generally accepted that she was dead and the battery removed from her phone some time before 12:58, since her phone didn't get the text message, so that window wouldn't fit unless the phone info is unreliable.

I didn't change the time of Prof. Gale's call, because it said "about" and it was only 4 min off.

So, it appears it was a phone call.

I remember being confused by all of this way back when....although I don't specifically recall finding out for sure that he logged on from Jeremy's computer. Obviously I can't possibly know for sure, but I don't think a lot of college kids had BlackBerrys at that time, especially ones who have to get money from Gramma just to buy a ham sandwich.

That will never, EVER make sense to me......Nona texted him around 9 a.m., and he made no effort to contact her. Yet, when he tries to call her later, he freaks out after only a few hours of not talking to her, on a day when she seemed to have a lot to do.

I know in court Trey York was questioned about his car, a silver mustang also. I do think it was a different year model than Nona's. According to Trey there was difference's in the way his and Nona's car looked. I do not know that much about car's so I probably could not tell the difference. I am asking if the State Crime Lab was able to retrieve information off of Kevin's SIM card. The number of times Kevin contacted Nona has been in question, just wondering if he let the investigators see the info on his phone. If so, why it has not been mentioned.

He told Schlesinger in the 48 Hours episode that he and Nona had never not been in contact and that's why he was alarmed.

As a murder suspect, would Kevin have been able to restrict that access if it was deemed pertinent to the investigation? Like you, I don't remember much about K's cell phone except the testimony by the AT&T rep. But since his phone was available for the defense to examine, it would have to be provided to the State as well, through the discovery process. Whether or not the prosecution availed themselves of any information is unknown (to me).

LOL I believe that he only testified about the records and that he is not the actual records administrator.

I don't know if either phone was ever studied for physical forensics (is that a bona fide phrase?), as opposed to technical information. It still chaps my ass that RPD didn't examine Nona's phone for prints; it would have been easy enough to rule out the prints of the idiot officer who moved her phone from where it lay on the floor, IF he indeed wasn't wearing gloves when he did so. Why would anyone enter the scene without wearing gloves? Oops! Different rant.

I might be mistaken but wasn't there talk of triangulating (sp?) the signal of his cell phone to determine where he was? If that was the case then I would think that he would have to give consent to use his phone and once he does that then they can do what ever they want with it. I can't remember if it was during the trial (since I didn't get to go) or if was on this board that I heard that.

If Kevin did kill Nona, and he did remove the battery from her phone, my guess is he would not want the police looking at his either. I could see him MAYBE letting police look at his phone right after the murder (and right after he deleted anything incriminating), but I'm not so sure he'd willingly turn it over to them for SIM card analysis.

yes, maybe this murderer suffers more torment by being among peers who think he is guilty than if he was isolated in a prison cell. i am sure kevin prayed to be found not guilty. you gotta be careful what you pray for, you just might get it!

the At&t guy testified about phone records gotten for jones phone, that's how LE was able to confirm he talked to JH at 12:05....and the times he called RW in the afternoon.....
he also talked about the triangluation of his calls and could only determine that the tower that covered area was large enought to encompass Dover and a large portion of SH 7 toward R'ville.

surely the prosec subpoenaed KJ's phone records. that is very basic if KJ was on trial for murder. he must have decided there wasn't anything he needed to present in court that was relevant. some states allow the public to know what subpoenas were issued during a criminal investigation after case is closed (even if they don't allow the content to be released).
