Hello everyone! I am new here and didn't really feel the need to start a whole new thread about my question, so I hope no one minds if I post it here.

I am trying to access the "Christopher Barrios Discussion Forum" but this is what I get when I click it:

Arja, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Can anyone point me in the right directions on how I can gain access to this discussion forum?

Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend!

Dear Mr or Ms. Admin/Moderator,

Did anyone ever let you know that moderating a message board is something that needs to be done on a "DAILY" basis and not once a week? Particularly when we have "Disturbed" people here that are "Silently Hunting" others. Please reconsider the decision you made to let all moderators go except yourself since you, yourself can't be here everyday. Thank you.

Since the forum was cleaned up it looks like the contact info for TruTV that I posted yesterday was also deleted. If any of you want it please pm me.

Sara,

I was walking my dog one day...she was in a grassy area and I was walking behind her on the street...flat, level, nothing to trip on...took a step and my foot rolled over and I knew I'd broken a bone...big bump on the side of it immediately...Went to the emergency room and they put a splint on it...saw an orthopedist a couple of days later and he took the splint off and gave me a boot to wear...not a hard cast...It took me at least a month before I felt any improvement...that had to be one of the most miserable times of my life...It's ok now, but still bothers me from time to time...especially during cold weather...Stay off of it as much as you can...and keep it elevated...:)

Have you had x-rays made recently to see if it's healing?

Yes Maybaby I just got out of the hospital with xrays and a boot on it. I am trying to do like you said and stay off and keep it elevated. It is the bone connected to the big toe. It has been 3 weeks so maybe I will be better in a month. THanks for the encouragement.

R I cannot even imagine passing a kidney stone. I have heard out painful it is and it would probably make me pass out too. I just caught a snippet of the story on TV about the KY Derby...about the horse that collapsed and they found it'd broken two ankles...and they put it down right there on the track...:(

PS...I didn't win a thing at Bingo...I think it must have been rigged...just kidding about that part...but I did enjoy some nice cold refreshments while I was there so it wasn't a total loss! :D

We have family living over seas right now. Really wanted to go and see them this year but there was just no way we could afford it. If we take any sort of vacation it will be close to home. We are not the only ones staying close to home this year I am sure.

My folks took a trip to Australia and New Zealand for their 25th wedding anniversary. . . they loved it!

Hi there ladies. I have missed you guys. After I got home from the dentist yesterday (with all those margueritas under my belt), I sat down to visit with you guys and my computer was drunk!!! I swear, for something that was SO loaded, I couldn't get it to LOAD at all. Anyway, I finally gave it up hoping things would be better today. Alas, a couple of aspirin and it started singing like a bird!

Everything went well at the dentist. They measured for my bite for my "new" teeth. Looks like my new grandsons and I will be toothless at the same time. Luckily for me, mine will only last a few minutes. That's not until June 3rd.

Speaking of scones. My hubby and I make them ALL the time. We make blueberry and apricot most of the time. There is also a supermarket near our home that has a new baker and he makes scones fresh daily. He makes blueberry and apple. They are wonderful. Thanks for having some ready for me today.

Have a great evening.

Me too. Unfortunately, that is WHY I am on a diet now.

I did splurge this week and made me and the hubby a small but yummy coffee cake. Used the recipe on the back of a Bisquick box and I'm definately going to make that one again and maybe add some chopped apples into the batter.

See I do not do the cooking which is why I love all the food here. Husband does a pretty good job and neither one of us bake since we both need to lose weight

Just the country in general, or do you have some choice spots we should visit on our dream tour??? :hat:

Near the water, I love the beach... also some minor shopping, maybe visit some historic sites... I've never delved that far into it because I know I won't be going.

Hey Judi. I am great. Happy it is Friday so I can have my husband home from work all weekend. Are you getting nervous? As a bridesmaid many times I know about losing weight. I always used the Atkins diet. Meat fish cheese, eggs and salads. It does not seem to work long term for me but it was great for short term. that means no biscuits!!! bread sugar veggies and fruit!!!!! except lettuce.

A friend of mine just moved to Jacksonville and he loves it. I am sorry about your schedule but then you have 3 weeks off right? Whatever works for you diet wise is good. the younger you are the easier it is to lose. I understand the relax part. I love the beach and waves. better than drugs!! and in Jacksonville you can eat all the biscuits you want. Take home a box of bisquick and you can make them real easy. recipe on box

I had a raw nerve exposed after the teeth came out and I learned a trick from the oral surgeon. Oil of clove which can be bought at a health store is very good for tooth pain and gum pain. Works immediately!!!!!

Sara, didn't someone say the other night that rumor has it that FW and DW are sort of "partners", so to speak. Maybe we could ask FW? LOL I wish I knew one way or the other though. I haven't "seen" any mods having to do anything over here. It's like the forums are self-moderated. Maybe posters actually do better with LESS moderating?

I would still like to know what happened to the JBR forum that was here before FW or "whoever" it was that deleted it shortly before 320 opened? Where did all those threads and posts go? Who has them? Why can't CL get them back? Oi vey, too many questions.

Have a great evening everyone.

Ya know, Evening2, I almost think you're right! Sycamores mods get involved in every little BS argument there is. I believe that is most of the reason so many posters over there believes that the slightest little thing is an infraction....There is more tattling over there than I've seen in any kindergarten class!

I just can't BELIEVE some of the posts that are "reported". I also can't believe some of the posts that are infracted (new word, lol) and others (BAD) that are not. It's pretty clear (to me) that it doesn't EVEN boil down to "how you say it", it boils down to who you ARE. Also, the PMs sent back and forth between some posters and the mods to tattle and sway decisions THEIR way are foolish. I also wouldn't recommend that ANYONE send something really opinionated or personal via a PM over there. They are "Private Messages" in name only! I could tell you guys some things that would make your hair curl. Of course, I'm sure you guys could certainly do the same.

I can just as well as promise you that pm's are not private at Sycamore.
I got a pm from a mod one day that said, "I know you are pm'ing with "Clue", please do not get involved with her, she is bad news".
When I ask that mod how she knew who I was pm'ing with, she said she noticed it on the "whose online" page.....But....There were also friends of mine (that I pm with a lot) pm'ing at the very same time, and there's no way she knew which poster I was talking to, unless she has access to reading pm's.

Cindy, I don't see that as protecting you at all. I see it the same way you did. Here's a mod who has NO reason whatsoever to be reading a member's PMs who then, based UPON that PM, tries to push their opinion off on the member. I think the ONLY time (if at all) a PM should be read by a mod or admin is if it is reported TO the mod as troublesome by the recipient. Short of that, it's a power play. I also wonder who they think they're fooling. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows when their PMs have been read. The mods and admin just have a way of letting you know without them even being aware of it.

Sooo, how is the weather in your part of the country? It reached 90 degrees down on the Gulf Coast today and extremely humid.Gosh, it reached 86 here in central SC. I'm lost here too. Results has been dedicated to the Tara Grinstead forum for the last 2 1/2 years and doesn't really follow the ANS forum. If anyone has the time, please go back and research all you can on this case, if you are interested. We have had so many trolls, baiters, and nuts posting here it is just a lost cause. I know you have problems on the ANS and JBR forums also, but the Tara Grinstead case is the weirdest I have ever seen, and we are just frustrated. Thanks and JMO. Ps. I didn't realize just how ridiculous that place is till I found CL.You're absolutely right, Cindy. The mods over there are biased as can be, both have abused their status as mods and now Results can give infractions. I thought FW stated she would be the only one giving infractions. Is this another instance where members have been misled? There is no real case discussion on any of the new crimes - just media articles are posted, for the most part. That place really is getting childish and ridiculous.

Gosh, it reached 86 here in central SC. Ps. I am glad to see the Crime Library board up and running again.

Hi LHD! Good to see you back here...there's been some activity on Tara's forum in the past couple of weeks...people are coming back and starting to post again...me included...:)

You're absolutely right, Cindy.

Why do they have all those reported posts public? It makes the whole site look like a bunch of two year old tattletales. It's a big turn off to anyone that wants to read new posts because it might say there are 5 pages of new posts and 2 1/2 of those are nothing but reported infractions so you have to wade through those to find real posts.

The weather has been stormy the last few days....Today was beautiful though, and tomorrow sounds like it's going to be another great day!!

How's those Grand kidlets, Evening2?? :)

Another beautifuul day here on the Gulf Coast. The Grand Kidlets are WONDERFUL! The 12-yr old is at DisneyWorld with Mom (as chaperone) this weekend. All the 7-8 graders who are in the band earned the trip.

This evening we are going to dinner at a seafood steamer restaurant (No fried foods EVEN available) to celebrate Mother's Day. We will have two infants, ten weeks and four months and the two-year old with us. Should be a "fun" time for all, LOL

Also, our oldest son got married last week. We are SO happy for him. He's 34 and finally found this soul mate. :)

Happy Mother's Day to all of my friends here. Relax and enjoy yourselves this weekend; you have EARNED it for sure.

Hi Judi. Don't know if it's appropriate or not (congratulations on your upcoming marriage, btw) but Happy Mother's Day anyway. I want you to have a great day even if you aren't a mother (yet).

We had a great time last night. Decided to change plans a bit and make it a little more practical all the way around. We bought crab legs which I steamed, and we called our favorite fish monger to order some steamed and seasoned Royal Red Shrimp (a specialty of the Gulf Coast), I made fresh corn on the cob, new red potatoes, cole slaw and garlic bread. We saved a BUNCH of moolah and got to eat twice as much, LOL Oops, I also bought a strawberry angelfood cake for dessert. This way the kids could have fun and we didn't have to worry about maybe spoiling someone elses day should they have decided to be "out of sorts". It was a good decision and a great time was had by all. We're just getting ready to go to our middle daughter's for an early Mother's Day dinner today.

Getting ready for your wedding must be SO exciting. I've been involved in many, so if you need any help or suggestions, run them by me and I'll see what I can come up with. :rose:

Everyone here have a great Sunday and a Happy Mother's Day! :rose:

Thats something that never should've been made available to the public in the first place. As a (ex)council member there I do remember in the beginning voicing my opinion but it feel on deaf ears like so many other things. It's a step in the right direction but its a little to late IMO.
