If I have one Trick or Treater, I will consider myself lucky tonight! Weather is horrible! We dodged the bullet with TS Noel, buy the winds are 45 mph mixed with rain and it does not make for a good night except for private parties! Last year it rained on Halloween Night!

What's your costume, Jane?

I was the good witch of halloween, the kind that cooks all the goodies, decorates, dresses in costumes and holds the babies, sometimes I even dance with the young guys and gals. I usually have to do face paints for the kids as soon as they get here, this year we went a little wild and had some pretty faces, with lots of detail.
This year I wore a black velvet lounging dress with lots of (what I call jewelry) but what my teen quest called Bling bling. I used glittery make up and long false eyelashes that had silver high lights. I sprayed my hair with a soft purple glitter spray not thinking that my hat and veils would cover my hair, lol. I was most fetching not scary a bit the little ones were coming up for 'granny' to hold them.We danced and sing and ate and ate soon more. My hubby then carried the children on a hayride over the farm
When they arreived aback we roasted marshmallows and told ghost stories.
I am so tired but I helped one more generation see a glimps of the fun we use to have at halloween before people because so bad. I had a ball and everyone seem to think this was one if our best,

There were about 50 million student paries being held in the street by my place - In fact this morning i was lucky to catch site of fellw students staggering home form said parties looking decidedly worse for wear!

Is it me or does Halloween now mena all night party/liver destruction to students!

A grandfather is a man & a grandmother is a lady!

Honey I can relate to that sick pumpkin! And we had NO booze at my party but we had lots of kid foods, Pizza, Hot dogs, Chilli, Sweet gooey sweets and of Course Witches Brew. popcorn and boiled peanuts. I Talked, I laughed, I played and after everyone left I too Prayed to The Potty Gods, I musta looked a lot like that pumpkin! LOL.

I didnt drink coz im not allowed atm coz im on lots of funny medications for my IBS.

Plus it ws a kids party....so it was my mother, two of her friends and myself...surrounded by everybody's respective children - a total o6 6. They spent most of the evening trick or treating tho...leaving the grown ups to entertain ourselves!
The trick or treaters drove us mad tho...

The police were out in full force as well coz they're have been big problems over this side of the pond with Anti social behaviour - a total of 27 children were arrested or cautioned last night in the Plymouth/Saltash area for anti social behaviour!

Its such a shame when some have to ruin it for others

It is very dry in South Georgia but even dryer in North Ga. The sound of rain here would be good, but since I have company coming tonight for a fish fry Maybe we can get that rain tomorrow. LOL, ain't that just like human nature you want God's blessing BUT when you want them.

I know! The rain is wonderful but...I just washed my horses!! Oh well, we really needed the rain. There are so many people selling their horses due to the ongoing drought. I took an awesome photo today of the clouds gathering in the valleys in the mountains in front of my property. It would have been a lovely relaxing day for me today as I had nothing else to do but read and listen to music but...of course we had a power blackout! Aaaagggghhhhh!!! lol. :seeya:

I am spending to much time with the Brandy Dog I need HELP, Cozy get out ya long johns and that dang Dog I guess we going up North looking for the wandering ones!

Seems to me that your parents did a good job raising their kids to be a loving close family :) i can say that for all the things that have happened the birth of both my girls as well as through sickness and other stuff in my life my sisters have always been there for me, we are lucky indeed :)

Yes, they were very special people. I just cannot imagine life without my sisters and I have tried to raise my children to be close also. That's how I felt about my sister! I was there for her, so was there for me! She is with the angels now, but a day doesn't go by that I don't think about her and all the things we lived through together! And all the love and laughs!:rose:

Im 23 years old. And i am so terribly scared. I just got released today and now i am home, i have some follo up appts. and i will keep u all updated when i see the drs. please pray fo rme, im very scared.

Mishelle i am sorry to read this! please dont panic, at least they got it in time and also you are young still and am sure you will come out ok with this heart problem, its so upsetting for me to read this has happened to you, in such a short time i feel close to you and the others on here it breaks my heart to think of any of you getting ill, big hugs girl and chin up keep positive! :rose:

Thanks for your encouragment girls. Zo I dont mind at all about posting that. I guess I have had ventricular bigemity for years not knowin it. And I caused this heart attack by pushing my bigemity to its limits. I drank way to much coffee, red bull, and well.... diet pills. I was adding these toxins in my body that just put me on overdrive. I can no longer drink caffiene, any stimulant BY ANY MEANS MICHELLE! lol (the doctor yelled at me), no alcohol, I have to eat a very low sodium diet, and well i finally quit smoking. I cant ever pick up a cig. I'm very scared, but they say the prognosis is good, and I haven't done major permanent damage, with a few new medications to add I should be good to go, as long as I don't feel like I'm indestructable and go and drink 9 red bulls. lol

I have a great family that will absolutely not let me do anything the doctors said I cant. :)
So when they see me sneaking a bag of lays potato chips there is no doubt I will get yelled at. This is the worst part about it, you all know I favor chips and dips over cakes and cookies :(
And my birthday is in 11 days and i cannot ea one chip with dip! SO NOT FAIR! oh well, my heart beat is by far more important than a yummy chip with ranch dip.

Thanks!! I absolutely love where I live. I have been here for seven years and I always tell my partner Shane that he can just bury me in the paddock when I die lol. I am a Summer girl though...Daylight Savings has just started here and I love it coz once I get tea out of the way I can go ride my horse at like seven at night. I took that pic with my mobile phone. I thought it came out ok for a phone photo. The views here are just stunning. I can see the hills from my lounge room which is at the front of the house, and from my dining room at the back I can see the ocean and the entire gulf. I like planting myself on the lounge with a book, listening to my fav music and burning my fav oils in the burner...heaven!! :D :seeya:

Presently 70 degrees here in South Florida. Went down to 66 last night. FINALLY FALL! Had the windows open last night for the first time since Spring. Going to be 80 but the nights are cool. YEAH!

Believe me I have the funny walk in the morning! I stumble from bed and hop to the coffee pot, then its off to the bathroom doing the hurry dance. My hubby says I do entertain him in the AM. But try as I might I can't get my legs to go as high as the guy in the video. LOL

hey girls, i have some bad news, i never made it to enjoy halloween on wed. instead i went for a scheduled routine drs., appoint and got rushed to the hospital with ventricular bigemity, i had a minor heart attack. Im 23 years old. And i am so terribly scared. I just got released today and now i am home, i have some follo up appts. and i will keep u all updated when i see the drs. please pray fo rme, im very scared.

Hey Seashell...Yep I'm Australian. I live in rural South Australia just outside of a township called Napperby. It's located at the base of the Southern Flinders Ranges. I am originally from Adelaide. I am a country girl at heart what with my horses and everything so I am in my element here!! Sorry to hear about your cousins...since the death of my nephew, I do not see my sister either. And my brother just can't be bothered driving up here to see us so yeah. The only one who comes here from Adelaide is my Mum. If you EVER come here you will have to stay with me and I will show you around. I would like to go up North one day and see the 'top end' of my country. Last time I was that entertaining in the morning I walked straight into a wall instead of the bathroom. I grew a new toenail but it and the bump on my forehead were painful. Would have made a great video LOL.

BETTER THAN SEX CAKE


1 cup flour
One-half cup softened margarine
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup powdered sugar
6 ounces of instant chocolate pudding
3 cups milk
1- 8 ounce Cool Whip (thawed)
1 - 8-ounce cream cheese
6 ounce vanilla pudding
1 large Hershey chocolate bar
1- 8 ounce Cool Whip (thawed)

Mix flour, oleo and pecans; press into a 9 inch X 13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes and COOL. In large bowl mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until fluffy, fold in 8 ounce Cool Whip. Spread this over cooked crust. Combine pudding mixes and 3 cups milk, beat well until thickened., spread over cheese layer. Spread last 8 ounce Cool Whip over pudding layer. Chill several hours and garnish with shaved chocolate. Cut into squares to serve.
