Cozy, I popped in long enough to grab a hotdog and catch up on my reading, just as I went to take my FIRST bite this awful pic appeared on my puter! It looks like a half cooked worm!! Then I looked at my quick supper and the gag reflex way back in my throat said "ain't no way this is staying down", so to make a short story long YOU RUINED MY SUPPER.but I luvs you anyway.
I have not had a chance to read back on all your post this week I have Gwen and she has made me very sick, lol. Between her snotty nose and my flu shot I have been feeling terrible but have enjoyed every minute with her. Today I was Princess Betty and she was Princess Veronica (her new fave cartoon is The Archies").

we had to go to WalMarts to get more 'dress up' supplies, as I walked into the store with her the old gentleman at the front said "Sure to like your crown". Yep folks I wore a childs princess tiara to town and guess what I just kept on shopping crown in place and grin on face. We had a ball between the coughing and blowing of our royal noses. Tomorrow we are painting pumpkins and decorating her porch for Halloween, between watching The Archies and playing princess, sure hopes she lets Betty (me) have a date with Archie tomorrow she made me date Junkhead (her pronuncation of Jughead) all day today. Between his goofy looks and his dog HotDogs sloppy kisses I am ready to bathe and got to bed.
I will catch her with you all later just know I love you all and pray for you daily.

Hi Everyone,

Y'all wanted to know about my doc appointment. Well the rib is healing great he said, but I got worse news. I think everyone knows I a disabled due to back injury years ago at our glass shop.
Well it has gotten extremely worse and I have to have surgery and I am not happy about it. To top that off he wants me to go ahead with the carpal tunnel surgery also after the back surgery. My carpal tunnel has gotten worse do to my use of the computer. I told him I am not giving up my work on the puter so forget that. So I will have it a short while after the back is
done.

50 - are you kidding me??!!! 50 degrees is shorts and flip-flops around here. Now, when it gets to be -10 with a wind chill of -25 or more, then we have a tendency to put our winter coats on for a while, until it warms up to 0. Then we have a BBQ and invite the neighbors over!!

I live where it is very, very common to have the air conditioner on one moment and the heater on the next. It changes that quickly.

Our local river has Steelhead, Salmon, Smallmouth Bass and the usual little guys like Sunfish. It's great when you can walk out to the river and catch breakfast or dinner. :)

Hello ladies. A friend of mine from another forum, dallasvic, extended a kind invitation for me to come on over here and have some fun now and then. I have read over here a time or two and it seems like a great place to hang out when the stressors of the forums and RL get a bit "heavy".

I "know" a few of you from PM's and other forums, so I don't feel like a TOTAL stranger. I guess you guys are talking about the fall weather in various places of the country. I live in Gulf Shores, Alabama, better known as "Lower LA" around here. It's a wonderful place to be year-'round and particularly when the temperatures drop in other locals. We also have a vacation cabin in Tennessee (which we just recently bought), so we have a place to cool off during the hot summers PLUS a place to evacuate to when the hurricanes come our way. We are just miles from the Florida Panhandle (Pensacola) and live on Bon Secour Bay (Safe Harbour) which is an extension of Mobile Bay. The fishing is great and the beaches are as white as snow. This weekend is our annual Shrimp Festival where people come from all over the country to enjoy the local harvests.

Gulf Shores and adjacent Orange Beach offer diversity for all groups of people, with counter culture establishments on most every corner. You never know who you'll find here and everyone gets along just great.

Well, that's a little background of where I live and I thank dallasvic for the kind invitation. I hope to be able to add something of value to this group as time allows.

Hello ladies. A friend of mine from another forum, dallasvic, extended a kind invitation for me to come on over here and have some fun now and then. I have read over here a time or two and it seems like a great place to hang out when the stressors of the forums and RL get a bit "heavy".

I "know" a few of you from PM's and other forums, so I don't feel like a TOTAL stranger. I guess you guys are talking about the fall weather in various places of the country. I live in Gulf Shores, Alabama, better known as "Lower LA" around here. It's a wonderful place to be year-'round and particularly when the temperatures drop in other locals. We also have a vacation cabin in Tennessee (which we just recently bought), so we have a place to cool off during the hot summers PLUS a place to evacuate to when the hurricanes come our way. We are just miles from the Florida Panhandle (Pensacola) and live on Bon Secour Bay (Safe Harbour) which is an extension of Mobile Bay. The fishing is great and the beaches are as white as snow. This weekend is our annual Shrimp Festival where people come from all over the country to enjoy the local harvests.

Gulf Shores and adjacent Orange Beach offer diversity for all groups of people, with counter culture establishments on most every corner. You never know who you'll find here and everyone gets along just great.

Well, that's a little background of where I live and I thank dallasvic for the kind invitation. I hope to be able to add something of value to this group as time allows.

Hi there Zoey! I finally made it over here. Boy am I GLAD you mentioned the flu shot. I nearly forgot it's October already and that's when I usually get mine. I probably would have forgotten about it completely had it not been for you! You're always there, by my side, giving me the facts, LOL! I sure hope you're feeling better. I have the flu jab once a year and touch wood so far am fine, i also got pneumonia one year and was violently ill for months with acute bronchitis afterwards so i made sure i got my jab once a year as well as my hubby and daughter of 20 who is asthmatic, they say its important for people who suffer with illneses as asthMA to have a jab as it can lower the risks of getting very ill with flu, btw the jab doesnt stop you getting ill it simply stops flu from becoming a big complication!
None of us suffer ill effects but simply a sore arm where they inject you and a possible small fever, nothing serious enough!

Hi Athena. I'm glad you like my avatar. I couldn't believe I found it at one of those free sites. Believe it or not, it's a spittin' image of me (when I was 17)! I love your avatar - it's beautiful.

WarmNCozy is giving me private lessons on graphics. I'm going to try to learn the first step with hubby by my side because I'm such an "dummy" when it comes to learning anything new these days. :( :cuss:

FINALLY, you are fixing seafood that I like. I only like two seafood things, shrimp and halibut, but they both have to be breaded and I have to have ketchup on them. Lots of Ketchup.

Florida has some wonderful fish -- grouper is a thick white fish with no bones, no fishy taste, wonderful with hollandaise or bernaise sauce!

And then there is dolphin, yellow tail, and snook! Other white fish with a few bones, not many, and mild tasting! Snook is not something you will find on any menu as it is a sport fish and limited to a certain time that you are allowed to fish for them.

And then there is stone crabs, the claw is the only thing you eat! And it is so much better than Maine Lobster claws! And you serve it with a mayo/mustard sauce!

Halibut has to be smothered in bread and ketchup because it is nasty! Like bluefish!

My ex-husband once decided that he had to go on a boat trip and all he took was lots of beer and two very large cans of chili. He had a belly ache for sure. My lack of sympathy surely didn't help considering that I make him sleep elsewhere as he was a fire hazard thorse few days after that.

Yep...the Yamaha is SUPER!! My partner used to sell boats for a place called Yamaha Pitman Marine in Adelaide. Before he left and we moved to Napperby, he decided to buy his dream boat because, as an employee he got a massive discount. The boat still cost $45,000. Simply adorable. I have three cats too! Peppy, Missy and Mannix. I lost a cat over the summer. He got outside (1 year old) and we never saw him again. I searched high and low, called the vets, canvassed neighbors, etc. His name was Winter and looks like the picture that Seashell posted. :( Mannix looks like him too. He is still a kitten with a big M in his forehead. My daugther tricked me into taking him in too!

I received this in an email and just wanted to share. :biggrin:

While trying to escape through Pakistan , Osama bin Laden found a bottle on the sand and picked it up. Suddenly, a female genie rose from the bottle and with a smile said, "Master, may I grant you one wish?"

Osama responded, "You ignorant, unworthy daughter-of-a-dog! Don't you know who I am? I don't need any common woman giving me anything."

The shocked genie said, "Please, I must grant you a wish or I will be returned to that bottle forever."

Osama thought a moment, then grumbled about the impertinence of the woman and said, "Very well, I want to awaken with three American women in my bed in the morning. So just do it and be off with you."

The annoyed genie said, "So be it!" and disappeared.

The next morning bin Laden woke up in bed with Lorena Bobbitt, Tonya Harding, and Hillary Clinton at his side.

His penis was gone, his knees were broken, and he had no health insurance.
