new new amber alerts appear today. there are still eight previous activated amber alerts still on the active files.
finding our children under stress (f.o.c.u.s.) organization will begin one of their missing child display binder distribution routes on monday 5/14/07. every post office in every town along hwy's 101 and 1, from san francisco to ventura, ca, will receive the updated 07 missing child binder. unfortunately, many post masters have the binders removed even though they contain missing children Postal Bulletin Notices (printed by the NCMEC, and are instructed to be on display in the Post Office according to the NALC/USPS CHILD ALERT PROGRAM). however, many of the post offices keep the binders on display and we replace last years binder with the current 07 version (this is f.o.c.u.s. org.'s 13th year doing this "MAC SHACK PROGRAM" involving flyer posting and distribution. several "missing person" flyers have been added to our binder (of missing persons who's family members post on this forum). our prayers and hope always include the missing and their family members.
if you want to get involved and help, the next time you walk into a post office see if they maintain a display of missing child Postal Bulletin Notices (printed monthly by the NCMEC). then either send me a private message or post what you find on this thread (include zip code, if flyers were on display, month and year of the flyers if they are on display).
