This is an appeal to everyone who is a member to the Forum. Melinda McGhee is the daughter of one of my best friends. She has now been missing for four years. There is information about her abduction on this website under the article about Derrick Todd Lee, the Louisiana Serial Killer. Please, if anyone out there has any ideas, information, contacts that could help her family continue the investigation of her abduction please respond to this. Her family deserves to know what happened to her. We need your help.

I don't have any real info but I would suggest that investigators put pressure on Derrick Todd Lee. Melinda fit his profile of the type of women he abducted and murdered. I understand he has a weakness for twinkies or anything sweet....maybe they could go in loaded with goodies and he would talk.

Prayers for Melinda's family....such a difficult road with no answers.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of Melinda. I don't know of any info to report. I have heard nothing, but a bunch of rumors. If you are from this area, then you know what I am talking about. I thought that that Derrick was no longer a suspect, but then I reckon that could have been one of those rumors I just mentioned. I do know for a fact that I feel that, because of the location of Melinda's home, it was probably someone that knew her. I pray that her family would get their answers soon. It is just weird that there hasn't been any so far. She was/is so beautiful and the last time I talked to her, she really seemed happy about her new house, school, and the baby she was expecting at the time. It would be awesome if she would just show back up, because she is missed by so many. Thanks for doing this thread. I just want you to know that you are not alone in the hopes of her family finding the answers that they so deserve.
