Did you read Anne's book? I didn't think she came across as bitter at all. In fact, I thought she went out of her way to give the Petersons (all of them) the benefit of every doubt. Yes, I would take Anne's word as gospel that she had a wonderful life and was, in fact, greatful that Jackie didn't raise her. But, BITTER????? No way.
I think the book itself is the reason they believe Anne is bitter and it was her way of "getting back". Had she had nothing but praise for the Peterson's and Scott they would have believed every word she wrote. I've always said that Anne is probably thanking her lucky stars that Jackie gave her up. I totally agree she did give them all the benefit of the doubt and it was their own actions that made her see them for who they REALLY were.

Let's not put words into my mouth, please.
I did not say children who are given up for adoption are bitter.
I said, it's my opinion that Anne Bird is/was bitter.
And it does not surprise me that you would take this opportunity to turn this into a Jackie bashing session.
How do you know that Anne had a wonderful life? Because she said so? Which only supports what I said - that you take her word as the gospel.
I agree with you on one point - lying about your brother when he is on death row is heinous behavior.
Nope! DRISP murdering his unborn son's mother (Laci) along with his unborn son (Conner) is heinous behavior. Think about it TAI.

Hey Angel, IMAGINE believing a CONVICTED murderer's crime is heinous! Shame on us <bowing head>. Imagine still believing that Anne Bird wasn't bitter about being adopted, simply because she SAID so! :punch: Evidently we are to believe the OPINION of an angry poster who never met her, ROFLMAO!!!!:patriot:

If you claim that Anne is bitter, then what other reason do you give for her bitterness other than the fact that she was given away at birth by her mother, while the "golden child" was kept and coddled?
If she's bitter about her life - well, who put her in that position? The woman who used her Catholic upbringing as an excuse for not using birth control? Why didn't she use that same Catholic upbringing when it came to having sex with virtual strangers?
Although Anne appears to have had wonderful adoptive parents and siblings, I'm not of the opinion that adoption is a wonderful thing - especially when the birth mother intentionally lets herself get pregnant, knowing that she has no intention of raising her child.
If Anne IS bitter, it's because of Jackie's careless actions towards her - both when she gave her away, and when they were reunited. She offered Anne no remorse, no sorrow, no curiousity about how her life had turned out. She never tried to look for Anne, never offered her any information about her birth father, never said she'd thought about and worried about Anne over the years or had any regrets.
I'd be bitter if I were Anne. The only thing Jackie was interested in was what Anne looked like and if she hated mushrooms - and then she went off on her tangent about her golden child, Scott.
Jackie is a lowlife. And her son is a murderer.

In the grocery store today, I noticed the NE had him on the front page. Small pic, off in the corner, his stock is down.
Didn't have a chance to peruse, but here's what's on the site.
In a bombshell death row confession, Scott Peterson has at last revealed how he mercilessly strangled his pregnant wife Laci as she happily watched a Martha Stewart TV show.
Then the coldblooded monster calmly read "Playboy" in his fishing boat before dumping her body overboard, according to a blockbuster new book — previewed exclusively by The ENQUIRER.
As he munched on a turkey sandwich in a San Quentin prison visiting room, Scott made his chilling confession to friend Donna Thomas. "I could actually feel (Laci) die," he told her. "When she stopped fighting, I could feel all her weight on my arm."
Thomas' book – "I'm Sorry I Lied to You: The Confession of Scott Peterson" – finally provides the answers all America has sought since 27-year-old Laci's body washed up in San Francisco Bay in 2003.
The author, a lawyer, visited Scott dozens of times after he was sentenced to death. She was a passionate believer in the notorious fertilizer salesman's innocence – until she caught him in a lie in June 2006.
Then after she confronted him, the 35-year-old killer spilled his guts, Donna told The ENQUIRER in an exclusive interview.
Surprisingly, his motive for murder wasn't to be with mistress Amber Frey!
Pick up the new issue of The ENQUIRER for all the details!

Sure hope no one paid money up front. :D Maybe the NE would lend their "exclusive" copy.
Oh well, it was entertaining chat about a nobody trying to be a somebody by association with a wife/baby killer which isn't even known if one work she said is true. I don't need her to convince me of his guilt. He did it himself. MOO of course.
I wonder if I could copy this forum and sell it? I know for sure I could self-publish it!

First of all, the video regarding Mr. Boham was the most pointless pieces of trash I've ever seen? Not a single question about guilt or his confession, just making him out to be a tolerant, non-violent murderer.
Second, what's wrong with the way she talks? It's kind of a moan/whine valley girl thing.
Most important...she claims that Scott was convicted by unfair portrayals and innacuracies in the media, then writes a book with an unsubstantiated confession. How bizarre!

Upon reflection, any more discussion of Donna Thomas, as it relates to anything, is a complete waste of time. Thus, my three favorite and most important books on the case, in no particular order, are...
For Laci (For insight into Laci and her family, Sharon was a touch of class)
A Deadly Game (for details on Scott's crime and prosecution)
Blood Brother (for insight into the Peterson's)
I didn't read Amber's book, and Ablow went way over the level I was willing to consider this case. We, The Jury was nothing new. I didn't read Loretta's book. And Dalton's book might as well have been made of Charmin, given the content in it. Although who would buy already used bathroom tissue, if they knew in advance that is what they were buying? <--- BTW...don't answer that! :D

She creeped me out also. Doesn't interview well and her eye movements suggest that she is lying. Although it was difficult to even see her eyes with all that makeup on.
So, she's defending a porn star murderer and that's all she claims. Not a lot of research there.

I'm a cynical person? Give me a break.
It is my opinion that Anne Bird's insinuation that the Petersons referred to Scott as "the Golden Boy" all of his life is a flat out lie.
And considering it appears Anne Bird was Ablow's main source for his book, in my opinion, I doubt it is a coincidence that Ablow wrote a fictional book, two years before Laci disappeared, about a young man who he refers to as "the Golden Boy" who kills his baby sister. Check it out - it's called "Psychopath".
You call me cynical - yet you doubt that a woman could survive on hot dogs during a pregnancy? Or that a woman with health problems and under serious stress might go to the wrong bank?
Bottom line, in my opinion, what Anne Bird did was wrong. Guilty or not - I would not write a book about my brother like she did. I would never sink that low.

Your opinion is that Anne is a liar and betrayed her brother. Obviously, that's your sour grapes because we saw your Scott and your Petersons for who they were. We're to believe your opinion over her personal observations? Yeah, right!

Being a cynic is not an excuse to stretch the truth - ever.
That "golden boy" stuff was out in the public well before Scott's arrest, Scott's conviction, before Anne had spoken to ANYONE about Scott, before Anne thought Scott was guilty, and well before Anne would have met Dr. Ablow.
In fact, I'd like to see your source for Anne being the main contributor of Peterson lure that was used in Ablow's book. Anne would have no way of knowing about Lee's history of outbursts or use of medications, etc.
I don't doubt that a person could survive on hot dogs for a period of time, but Jackie's story about "the wrong bank" was a flat-out lie.
This is all stuff that you know and I know and we all know and that was talked about on your own board before Anne Bird had spoken to anyone.
Sink low? You wouldn't do that to your own brother, even if he was guilty of murdering two innocent victims?
How low was it for you to inject yourself into this case and declare Laci's family, friends, the hard-working LE members, any everyone else either LIARS or victims of "false memory" because what they KNEW didn't fit your agenda?

My personal favorite is how they were a
""Brady Bunch" family. When I watched the Brady Bunch, the mom brought 3 kids to the family; the dad brought 3. Jack, in reality brought ONE (John) and never told Lee about the two she gave up. Lee had three children WHO LIVED WITH THEIR MOTHER. So anyway you slice it, it was NOT a Brady Bunch family.
