Hendersonville – The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol will be conducting a Booze It and Lose It Checkpoint sometime during the weekend of Friday, March 16 and Sunday, March 18. Officers from both agencies will participate in this checkpoint.
This checkpoint is part of the weekend-long Booze It and Lose It Campaign all across the state sponsored by the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program. Deputies from the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office will be out in force throughout the weekend all over the county working to ensure that the roads are safe and free of drunk drivers.
“This is an excellent opportunity for the Sheriff’s Office and the Highway Patrol to once again work together to ensure that the roads are safe throughout Henderson County” says Sheriff Rick Davis. “Additionally, this is an opportunity for us to point out how important it is that no one drink and drive.”
