Police Seek Help In Identifying Woman Whose Body Was Buried Behind Local Business

Tampa, FL March 8, 2007 - The Tampa Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman’s body that was found in a shallow grave behind a business at 2110 N. 71st St. on Tuesday. Police believe she had been buried there for three to four weeks and the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner has ruled the woman’s death as a homicide. Tampa Police Maj. George McNamara described the victim as a white female, thought to be in her 20s or 30s. She is approximately 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 5 in height, with shoulder-length blonde or brown hair. She’s said to have “normal teeth”, meaning that she has no braces, false teeth, or dental work done. She was found wearing only a size 4 blue denim miniskirt from American Eagle Outfitters, red toenail polish and a bandage on her left ring finger. According to Maj. McNamara the woman also had breast implants which police are attempting to trace serial numbers from the implants that could possibly identify the woman. Police are unable to identify the victim through her fingerprints, and her description does not fit any local missing persons cases on file. The Tampa Police has asked anyone who might know a missing woman that may fit this description to please call police at (813) 231-6130.
