Elder Abuse with serious bodily injury
On 02/25/07, at 11:00 pm, Bakersfield Police responded to the area of ‘V’ Street
and Shady Lane regarding a victim of an assault.
Officers made contact with the victim, Allen Franklin, 93 years old. Franklin said
he was from out of town and staying at a nearby hotel when he decided to go for
a walk. While in the area of Shady Lane and ‘V’ Street he was confronted by two
male suspects. The suspects attacked Franklin; however, he fought back and
believes a passing motorist helped scare the suspects away. The suspects fled
in an older black medium sized sedan. Franklin was transported to a local

The suspects are described as two Hispanic males, short in stature, medium
build, with black medium length hair and light colored collared shirts.
