Hello,

Not really sure where to go with this. But
I have worked very hard to get my gay brothers death case reopened.
It was ruled natural at first. But I have now seen the pictures and
all reports and nothing adds up. The police took nothing from the
scene, which was at his home. All they took was pills and a joint.
They did no finger prints, didn't take the sheets, didn't listen to
the answer machine, or check the web cam.

They did tape around the house with crime scene tape. They didn't
let us in for 3 days. But, I was told they don't do anything until
they get an autopsy back. Which seems odd to me. The autopsy came
back he died of acute bronchitis at 32yrs old. But, the picture's
show so much more. The pathologist, police, and coroner all report
said no abrasions. And in the pictures you can see 4 or 5 abrasion.
All together on the back of his leg about the size of a softball.
The autopsy guy said he didn't see it. Well there's no way anyone
should of missed it.

My brother was GAY and found on his side, almost face
down CROSSWISE in bed. His boxers was pulled part way down. There
was A LOT of urine on his bed. No one checked the urine on the bed.
Well I assume it was all urine, not even sure if it was all his.
Because no one checked the sheets. He was on the opposite side of
the bed that he slept on. His socks was at the other side of the
bed. Down at the foot of the bed, like where you would sit and take
them off. His ashtray was on a table on the opposite r side from
where the body was found. His front door was 3 feet from where his
body was found "CROSSWISE" in bed.

I think they thought because they found pills it was an
OD. But the autopsy showed no drugs in his blood, only in his urine.
Which they said that meant he didn't do drugs right before he died.
Another finding they put in the autopsy was meningeal inflection.
Like an on set of meningitis. We was asked at the scene if he had
been sick. We told them 9 month prior to death. He had been treated
for meningitis.

I took all reports and pictures to a Federal Pathologist
at I.U. He called me with in a day. Told me he seen a few things.
And asked if we had a attorney. I said no. He said we need to get
one. He said he was very up set, that no one had checked him for
sexual assault!!! He called my home town prosecutor, which already
sent me out the door once. And from there, everything started
happening since he called the prosecutor.

The Federal pathologist had a meeting with the lead
Detective of the police, coroner, and my family. He told us he
didn't die of acute bronchitis. And nothing in the autopsy reports
add up. We was told there was NO meningitis found at all in the
autopsy , but yet was listed as a finding. The pathologist told us
he thought the abrasion on the leg happen before death. ( that it
wasn't skin slippage) Which is what the Police keep telling me. It
was from where they rolled him over at the scene. The pathologist
said, if it was skin slippage it would be on other places on the
body. And it was not. And the pathologist didn't know how they could
of done a urine test, because there was so much urine on the bed.
How did they get enough urine to do the urine test?

The pathologist told us, he think he died one of two
ways. Either positional asphyxiation. And the abrasion on the leg
came from him trying to get free. Or If he had a withdrawal from
drugs, and had a seizure. Which I would think he would of bit the
heck out of his tongue. And there would of been some blood on his
mouth. And you wouldn't of been laying so straight, like he was. And
of course the police forgot to tell the pathologist, there was pills
at the scene. So, why would he be going into drug withdrawals. When
there was 3 different pills on him.

When I asked if the police took their own pictures. I
was told they wasn't sure. But, how ever if they did, there in with
a 100 rolls of film that HASN'T been developed yet. This meeting
just took place, and the death was 2 yrs ago! I know now the police
didn't take ANY pictures, only the coroner did. Everything is now
being sent to a 3rd pathologist.

When they put in the paper the case was reopened. They
wasn't even going to put a contact number. In case someone knew
something. I had to ask them to put a contact number. Their reports
said they interviewed people. But when I asked to see the
interviews. I was told they didn't have any interviews. Someone seen
someone leaving his house, but was never questioned. There was a guy
that was after him, he was never questioned. The body had been moved
2 to 3 times before they took pictures. The police opened drawers
before they took pictures. And I was told the police took a light
over him and the sheets. But in the reports doesn't say anything
about them using a light..

If he was killed we have no DNA. Because they checked for nothing at
all. And they kept nothing , no sheets, no boxers etc. So if they do
exhume the body after 2 yrs. Will it do any good now? And who should
be handle this matter? Right now the coroner is. And we was told it
was never a police investigation, it was a coroners investigation.
But yet the house was taped off with crime scene tape. And we wasn't
allowed in for 3 days. And I do know that at the autopsy no one
went, the police or the coroner. Well now they are saying they did.
But by the time they got there it was already done. The autopsy guy
say other wise, they never came.

So, if you know of anything I should do. Please let me know.
Right now it's still in the hands of everyone who messed it up to
start with. I'm from Indiana, I do have pictures and all reports.
Just not sure where to go now? Any help
would be great. Thank you so much.

Thanks,

Carla

Carla, I will confess that I did not read your entire post. However, what I did read compels me to want to be of assistance. There is a "Innocence Institute" where I attend college. I did some volunteer work for them. They have a journalism program that sponsors Innocence Institute. I would be more than happy to see if they would be interested. Once I have talked with them, and, if they are interested, I will give you their address in a Pm, if you would like. I know this is not their direct goal, but they may want to pursue this matter.
