God"! He certainly did have a way, didn't he. JMHO....
Years ago I used to be friends with that group...when we were young. He was hysterical but was also very temperamental. Very taken with his new found fame. I understand that he tempered it all after his illness and was back to his real roots and real persona.
I will miss Lewis for all of his "good stuff". Sorry for the O/T but just remembering an old friend.

He recently got busted by someone called "Chad" about the date changing. He blamed it on a software problem, and then he put Oct. 2007 where the date was to "expect a break" in the case soon! He also said he was doing a new remote viewing (*yawn*) and had some new info on the case he couldn't share yet or some such BS.

I love how that bloated idiot can't face the media when she's being called out for her shame, but her press agent can say there's no way she can always be 100% accurate on these things. THAT'S THE DAMN POINT. If you're not accurate, why give a family such devastation and "detail" when you are literally pulling it from the depths of your rear-end?? Carla Baron and all the others need to read that blog word for word if they can find time between tv appearances, photo sessions, and witch/sorcerer radio station interviews. I found AC's blog on that last night and read it... glad to see others noticed, too. CNN had it linked on the main page at one point yesterday, too. Maybe Sylvia and Carla will feel some heat from it. Damn media whores, IMO.
R,
Amazing, isn't it? What if Carla is as accurate about Tara as Sylvia was about Shawn? I hope SB apologizes on TV and personally, to the parents to whom she delivered such a horrible "viewing". JMHO.

MONEY will make people do many things and it is all about money with Carla and Sylvia. They care nothing about the feelings of other people. I have no confidence that Carla has a clue to what happened to Tara except what she has been told. IMOO Carla and Sylvia are only about entertainment and it should be a crime to report this kind of mess on public television as the truth. A few days in the pokey might make Sylvia think twice about delivering another family her s***. MHOO

Syliva Browne was way off on this one and she should apologize. CB has abused the priviledge of calling herself a psychic, in my opinion. I find no validation in anything that woman says or does. But I know some amazing psychics who have done wonderful things.
I also know some amazing doctors and lawyers who have helped people when all hope was gone. But for some reason, I don't see people throwing out these professions when 1 or 2 screw up.
My issue is this - we are all human and are going to screw up at our jobs some time. I just can't figure out the hostility at a whole profession when 1 or 2 people screw up. I'm not defending them as much as I'm defending the idea that we are all doing our best. It's just that sometimes our best is some else's worst!

I suppose labeling what Sylvia Browne does as a "profession," and comparing her erroroneous guesswork to doctors and lawyers' "mistakes" in their work is a hard reach for me. Doctors and lawyers have insurance and get sued, every day, for their mistakes, too. FWIW.

Yep Merrick, sad to say the least. I hate to see someone profit from the misfortune of others although it happens everyday when poor vulnerable people get misused by those that pretend to be something they're not. I've even got a sister-in-law that bought the Crossing Over book, poor thing is in some serious denial.....
FWIW, I do believe in some psychic 'events' of intuition and dreams but it seems that a great deal of the psychic hotline movement is a farce to say the least.

Please let me just jump in here.I've never bought one of those books, but recently I did buy a book,23 minutes in Hell.Sorry I don't know how to use this PC for all the correct punc, etc.
Any way the author claims he actually spent 23 minutes in HELL !!!!!
My FATHER, who is a born again Christian minister,(age 84) began reading it and before he got out of the foreword,he called me and said, more or less, "WHOA".......... It states in the bible that no one has been to hell and lived to tell about it !!!
Anyway,he continued to read,as I had asked him too and sure enough over in the book was an explanation (with scripture to back it up ) that says God does give people dreams and visions. So, in my Fathers' opinion, this man had had a Vision and in that case he should speak up and share what he belives.
It will scare the hell out of you,and that my friends, is exactly what was intended. !!!!

i believe that if a psychic presents themself as a professional and provides information for pay then they should be held accountable the same way any other profession is. there is room for a person to do much harm in this scenario. from emotional harm to the family to the wasting of resources for le. there are other things to consider too but i will stop at that. it is a difficult subject to broach but this situation with browne makes me take pause and consider the need for a higher level of accountability. jmho

Yes, he deleted the last 2 "entries" that were recently added by email senders. One involved a rapist driving a white Cadillac (perhaps it was Boss Hogg from the Dukes of Hazzard?) and the other referenced the sexual organs of Scientology and something about loose children. I'm not making that up, either.
All in all, they were quite entertaining. I suppose he didn't want any competition with his sketches, so he removed the entries yesterday sometime.

For the record, my brother, who I love dearly and who seems to have all his marbles, swears he has a ghost in his house. His wife agrees.
The house only had one previous owner who died there during Hurricane Hugo.
Lights off & on, doors opening and closing, radios changing stations, weird messages on their answering machine, small items disapearing then re-appearing months later in conspicuous places, etc, etc. I don't think my brother is crazy or lying...but do I believe in ghosts? I think it's possible, and I LOVE a good ghost story, but I can't say I'm convinced.

Someone here at CL was kind enough to share the "weird" Brian post with me:
SNIP>A single parent who lost her daughter is about to go to the police. Tara hurt her and wanted her energy. Tara soon found the greater the hurt towards this woman and her name sounds like Peta, Petra, or that is her nickname.
This woman told the authorities of Tara's darker side and they judged her on her status and lack of wealth. "Of course of course Ms Greanstead, she is a liar possibly a schizophrenic." This woman lost her daughter and feared to loose who other children, so she stayed silent. Her boyfriend also stayed quiet but watched this teacher constantly.
Neither were involved in the crime. <SNIP
Besides being REALLY weird, the reference to the "boyfriend" is really, really creepy. I wonder if LE reads on Brian's board at all...

Also, I posted the other day that I seem to be the only person who missed the notorious "Haunting Ev" episode about Tara's case. Sad but true. So I made my maiden voyage over to CBland to read what was said about it.
The post that grabbed my attention was the one about someone's avatar being made from Tara's "official" Miss Tifton poster. What year was she Miss Tifton? This is 2007. I thought that someone "hanging on" to that for so many years was a little "creepy" too, (unless it was her mother or best friend, and I don't think it was).

There was a strange "I would never use Tara's image without getting permission from her family" message from that person to someone else who inquired about the picture. That was a STRANGE PLACE for a few months. The Anita worship and kiss-assery was syrupy thick and made my teeth ache. I'm glad it's dried up. Strange how it just evaporated once the camp left town. Thanks, Janis...I have done very little reading on other boards, but I have done some. I may have read the name on one of those. It isn't a common name and it's nagging me as to where I read it. If anyone is signed up on other boards and could look for that name...
The "loony" post from Brian's Predictions is still bugging me for some reason. From the post, I got the impression that a woman (Petra) had lost custody of a child, possibly DFACS was involved, and had some sort of beef with Tara. This woman took her complaint to the police but was brushed off as a loony. If Tara had to respond to this complaint, or was told about it jokingly by the police, then the woman may have been told to just drop it. The part about the woman's boyfriend watching "this teacher constantly" makes my skin crawl.
I've never given much thought to the "abduction" theories...but if Tara was expecting a "date" that night and answered her door in haste, with her purse in hand, only to be confronted by someone with a gun instead...
I'm not bailing on my HD theory, but I would sure feel better if I could remember where I read that name.

I couldn't find but 157 messages on the missingtara site. I believe when this site first started up, the guestbook had colored blocks for the posts. I will try to search CTV and Talktara and see what I can find.

I saw the post you were talking about. I just hope some of the posters that were here early on can remember this. Again, thanks for looking Janis, I appreciate your efforts. If no one finds anything, I'll have to assume it was the member on Websleuths which FSB and CP referred to. I'll still be digging, too, lol.

I have found two posts at TalkTara made by simplyquiet1 and Fep, regarding the Tennessee post. At least I know I'm not the only one that remembers it....LOL If you can read at TalkTara, let me know and I will give you the threads and page numbers so you can find them easy. If not, I will pm them to you.......Some of the posts at CTV have been removed...couldn't find anything here....

I thought Brian predicted some "big news" months, and months, and MONTHS ago. What happened to that?
