I just watched the "trailer" and read all the other information on the website for the new upcoming movie called "Karla".........here's the link http://karlathemovie.net/

What do you think of this movie being made ?

Personally I'm torn as on one hand I'm peed off that someone would try to cash in on the backs of my friends but on the other hand, I feel like that would be a bit of hypocrasy on my part as I've watched many movies like this in the past concerning murders and court cases which were based on real events and yes, I've been entertained along with most others at the movie theatres watching so-called "slasher" movies such as "Friday the 13th" in years gone by......so yeah, I'm in a quandry on this.

Tim Danson, the lawyer for the victim's families has been given a private showing of the movie so as to make sure his clients have not had their privacy violated and to also make certain that there are no scenes depicting Leslie or Kristen that could be a breach of our child pornography laws......apparantly some "edits" did happen as a result.

Although Danson and the families do respect freedom of speech according to Tim in recent interviews, Tim was very concerned that the movie has left some very important facts out and as a result puts Karla in a sympathetic light.

Here's an article by CTV which appeared yesterday (Dec.15) and describes the reaction of a random group of viewers the movie was screened for recently.......their reaction is rather disturbing.

HOLY BUCKETS, batman!

I saw the site, watched the trailer and read the CTV.ca article.

I think this would be sum up my view:

"The movie runs for one hour and 40 minutes, leaving some viewers wishing they could get the time back."

I rarely watch non-docs about true crime and this is no exception.

Not watchin'.
